Review Margarita's Mexican Restaurant - Pondicherry

Sampad Saha
I had the impression that I was in a Mexican town from the décor, music, and atmosphere. I placed orders for Mexican Churros, Pink Guava Margarita, Chicken Nachos, and Chicken Enchiladas. Overall, I had a great experience. The waiter recommended what I should get, and the combination was excellent. The food was of decent quality, although there were a few instances where I thought it could have been better. If you enjoy eating, you should visit this restaurant. With friends, it will be more enjoyable than dining at a regular restaurant.

Great Atmosphere, You will feel You entered a proper Mexican restaurant. The food was amazing, and they even teach you how to enjoy the food better and the right way of eating Mexican food. Loved it! Highly recommended even if you haven't tried Mexican ever.

A very good Mexican place in India. I’ve had authentic Mexican food in US and this restaurant is pretty close - 7/10 for authenticity. The Mexican rice is on point, the taco shells and the chicken flavourings aren’t exactly Mexican, but still has the right texture. Service was great and the quantity was filling and great!

Margaritas looks very unassuming from the street but the food was good for a Mexican cuisine restaurant in India. They have tried to keep the dishes as authentic as possible. The tacos, chips and salsa and fajita were all tasty. The churros were the best of the lot. Wish they served margaritas and some corona beer. Service was good..

Was randomly browsing through Google to find a good spot. Out of the blue i find a Mexican restaurant within the sea of cafes. Have decent rating we decided to check it out. Being a fan of Mexican food and having eaten at authentic locations before, I wanted to give it a try. Ordered chips with salsa, chicken quasidila, lamb tacos, and mole chicken. I have to say this is a good joint to be introduced to Mexican cuisine. One suggestion would be to have pulled meat rather than minced for the lamb tacos. Would definitely suggest travellers to step in just so as to mix it up with the regular cafes within pondicherry.

Tried Mexican cuisine for the first time and say what it was "yum" 😌😋 The ambience was very good and calming. Food was really delicious and staff were too good. Had a great time over there. Before visit kindly book the table or else you might have to wait for sometime to a table ..

I really liked the way, they present. I loved all those items which I ate, the mango margarita(for sugartooth) , pink guava margarita(a mix of sweet and sour), the Mexican wings, kitchen sink burrito (their signature), lamb taco Mexicana, chicken fajitas. And boy oh boy, that lamb taco was so good that I ordered one more of that. I loved their service too, and I regret that how did I miss this restaurant despite being in Pondicherry.
Vignesh Narendran
Loved the mexican spicy flavor and ambiance. Serving took a little longer than i would be happy about. Meals are worth sharing and trying different ones. Soft drinks are good toom but i suggest ordering after you get the food. Else drinks will be served at the start and you might want not be able to arrest the spicy flavour after.

Awesome experience. Having the owner, an expert foodie himself, sitting with us during the dinner took the whole experience to another level. Authentic food, best ingredients and great taste! Best wishes to the team!!

Very nice place to visit when you are in pondi. Really authentic and good Mexican food. The prices are also competitive. The only issue was finding a space for parking the car. The service was very good and the staff were welcoming too!
Barishtha Sinha
Loved the food here and the ambiance. Good Mexican cuisine. Quite a Popular place. You might have to wait during peak times. The service could be better and little fast. The items aren't priced too high neither too low. Do try margarita it's amazing. If you are looking for a varied palate while being here , I would suggest this place. Good for family and in groups and also for pairs.

Best place to visit to have Mexican food while you are in Pondicherry. Value for money. I had both the Veg and Non- Veg platter. They have the authentic touch of the Mexican food. Must try.
Deepak Arora
The food was delicious and served piping hot. The staff is highly courteous and service is quick. A 10/10 for this place. When in Pondy, must visit.

Wonderful atmosphere and beautiful flamenco music played! Had the veg quesadilla and veg enchilada - absolutely fabulous. Thanks for a great lunch! Margaritas were perfect <3

I have been to this place multiple times and it never disappoints me. This place has the best mexican food in pondicherry. From fajitas to chimichangas, everything tastes amazing and is cooked properly. The staff is courteous and it is quite easy to find a table here. PS: Do try the strawberry margaritas
Mohit Shah
The food was amazing. We & even our taste buds truly enjoyed the delicious food served.
Pratishta Puthran
I have never tried Mexican food and I wasn't expecting such a wonderful experience.
The food was amazing. The nachos and chicken Quesadillas are mouth-watering.
Asim
Absolutely loved this place, no words to describe the emotions I felt while munching on their tasty food. We ordered the nachos and the dip, it was heavenly, the warm dip cheese based was made to perfection. The Tex Mex grilled fish burger was probably the best Ive had in a long long time. The pinacolada again was on spot. Loved everything they served and happy with their service. This was a very pleasant discovery.
Akhila Anand
We ordered the chimichangas and quesadillas, both chicken. This food was more authentic than most places in Bangalore, and it was so cheap for the quality. The food was very filling too, as it comes with a side of rice, beans and some salad. It was such a great experience!
Shubhang Garodia
Out of two main course ordered for two persons, one came in 5 mins and the other 25 mins later. Spoilt the entire evening.
Devpriya Chakravarty
If you are looking for a nice place that goes easy on your pocket and will make you feel like the food is beyond worth every dime you spent on it... Look no further! Eldorado is right here! The ambient music is a bonus! 😊😊😊

Okish resturant.

This place is worth giving a shot in pondicherry, amazing Mexican food with awesome drinks available around in really reasonable price.
Foodmania
This is one of the best mexican food I have had in India. The burrito bowl is good. The enchiladas, burritos are all good. The burrito tastes excellent but it is served like enchilada instead of in the form of a handy wrap. The mexican rice and refried beans are spot on.
Ayesha Khanna
Home cooked vibe to the food, not overly professional finish or taste. If u want home cooked Mexican food visit here. Courteous staff who try hard. Ambience was a bit dingy and I felt the hygenie could be upped.
Anji
Could alert customer if they order different items but they all have same taste.
Deepak Arora
Pizza served so pathetic... Soggy... Had to get it reheated to make it crispier... Tortilla chips were made of wheat and white flour.... How could they at a so called mexician place...
Prashant Vaghasiya
Mexican wasn’t completely Mexican
Uttara Ravi
Taste - 4/5
Value for money - 2/5 (quantity was very less for the price)
Service - 4/5

The place was overall good, but on the expensive side. The quantity served for the price is very less. The taste was good.
Must try grilled veg tacos.
The nachos did not have guacamole, but still tasted good. The ambience was excellent.
Anushree Ulpe
The enchiladas didn’t have any cheese on it and the filling of all veg dishes were SAME and there were NO beans. Its mexican food, how can you not have beans??? Also tacos weren’t the traditional mexican tacos, very indianized version but they were decent. The burrito and nachos were decent. The margaritas and mojitos were really good. Would request them to revise their mexican recipes a little.
Priyanka Serrao
This place has a good variety of mexican food but you can't really call it authentic. They basically put the same topping on every dish: Jalapeño, sourcream, corriander and lime. Though I know it's classic mexican these things don't necessarily have to be on every dish. The margaritas were quite nice and refreshing. Calamari were fresh and crispy. The crab enchilada had real crab meat filling and was well stuffed. The lamb rice bowl could have been better. The rice had no flavour or punch to it and so did the meat. I feell it fell flat in terms of flavour. We took a parcel of spicy grilled diabla shrimp. It was supposed to be tiger prawns but it was many tiny shirmps which were not deveined properly. The taste was good but not very hygienic to consume. Overall the service and ambience of this place is great.
Shivika Gupta
Had 2 items here. Cheese Enchiladas was good. Veg Fajitas was not good at all. Service was prompt. Staff courtesy can be better. Ambience is nice. I liked the paintings there.
Malvika
The restaurant was clean and the food was excellent. The staff was courteous and could speak English which was a very welcome change!
Would go again!
Shishir
Place is just a hype. Waste of money. All the items are pricey and not worth. The portions offered are so small that you feel like taking samplers. Overall it's just a place where you go if you have no other options left.
Fatema Haji
Most amazing staff. Service was prompt, food was good, tasty and ample for the price. The drinks we ordered were amazing and very affordable. Loved it!
Dipankar Jena
Seeing the great review here, we went into the restaurant for some good mexican food. We had Tacos which were good. The fajita prawn we had were not so great. The drums of heaven were awesome. The cheese balls were a big flop with no flowing cheese. The worst part was the hygiene of the rest room, it was highly disappointing and therefore rating.
Gouthami Pillai
Definitely a must go. The food was delicious, almost everything I ordered was made perfectly and left me craving more.
The food did take a little time to arrive, but with the amazing taste, I definitely didn’t mind.
Jayashree Muralidharan
An amazing mexican restaurant.. Chicken nachos was worth the cost.. And man those chicken fajitas were suoer juicy.. Itz totally worth it.....
Arpita Mishra
Ordered :

1.Mexican lime Chicken Adobo : a decent mexican platter with yummy chicken. The chicken was the heart of the dish and tasted great with the sour cream

2. Chicken Tacodas grilled : just loved it. Got decent tacos at just 180rs which was extremely filling as well as tasty. The crunch in the tacos was there and the jalapenos made it tastier since I like its flavour. Great overall.

3. Classic lime : the classic lime soda with a blast of mint and lime flavour in the mouth.

4. Coke float : regular coke with a scoop of vanila ice cream, not so great but it was a different flavour.

- If you wish to try mexican, worth a shot. Else not that amazing resturant u can root for.
- VFM : 3.5/5

Apart the from margarita mocktail, was a bit disappointed but the food. The veg burrito was unsatisfactory, the chicken quesadilla was okay and so was the queso and nachos. Great ambiance, and very polite staff.
Surya Ram Bose
Courteous and very polite staff, amazing food, mild and everything just tastes right..great place for margaritas, tacos, Quesadilla, everything at a nominal price...thumbs up for the restaurant
Ulasine D'mello
We ordered fajitas, quesadillas and a chimichanga. The good was great and good quantity. We loved the chicken fajitas.

The cleanliness could be improved as the bathroom and kitchen was really shabby
Guneet Dutta
Loved this place- food, hospitality and the overall menu. We had chicken quesadillas, calamari, grande margarita (pink guava, lychee and strawberry), curd rice and chips n dip. We were also serves complimentary dessert.
The owner was a gentleman and very humble! Looking for a reasonable place with great food options...do head to Margaritas!!
Roopesh
A great place. Place to try out true Mexican food. I tried Chicken Chimichanga. And trust me it is a feast to the taste buds. Do try that. Also their mocktails are really good.
Overall a very nice place to enjoy and satisfy your taste bud

Being a guest at Puducherry had to try some of the hatke eating joints. Have heard of some recommendations of this place as a Mexican Delight. We had ordered a pitcher of mango mocktail as a starter but instead we got it after we had consumed our food. In food we ordered one lamb taco and one spinach chicken rice bowl. To be frank both of them tasted different than that of what we usually have at other joints. But this was good different. The rice bowl was ok but I thought the gravy in the taco could have been less as it was making it soak n wet. The decor also had a touch of Mexican to it. All in all a good experience.
SWEET CORN
The white town !!!!!!!!this place is famous for I can for there good good restaurant,,,,,So try here first ' I ordered chicken burrito and chicken fajitas ',,, I was waiting waiting ---in the last I got the food WOW WOW the taste and decoration everything is perfect ...this is the best place for trying new new food ',,,

A Mexican joint in Pondicherry, what more can a Tex-Mex lover ask for.

A Sunday lunch took us to Margaritas, for some margarita & chimichangas. However, I was really disappointed with the food.

The chimichangas were not well fried, super oil- while the oil was flowing on to the plate. Although the tex-next nachos were decent but not cheesy enough as they were suppose to be.

Maybe it wasn’t the right day to go or we didn’t order the right dishes. But was utterly disappointed.

As for the ambience, found the lighting dark & not lovely enough.
Hakshetha Rajasekar
Ambience is really good! But the food is slightly over priced...I loved the Chicken Quesadillas here, but the texture of tacos can still be improved...
Murali Krishna
We went with our family it was very excellent. Nice ambience, good service, tasty food, variety of dishes. If you want to try new recipes you can find one.
Rohit Prasad
The food is very plain and the price is too high for the service they provide not worth it go somewhere else. The place next to this is better and if you come here you will know what I mean
Avinash 707
It has quirky ambience. Cool place to try Mexican food. Since it is near rock beach, prefer you to go by evening. So that after food you can go for walk near beach. Best place to hangout with foodie people. Food really tastes great. Costly but worth for the try.
Pooja Jayan
The food is really goood. Try the strawberry margaritas for sure. It’s really yum! And you get amazing taste and quantity of food for the price paid!

I am a big fan of Mexican food. Best place to satisfy your tastebud is Margaritas in Pondicherry. Simple and small restaurant, serving variety of Mexican delicacies. We ordered Veg. Nachos, Veg. Enchiladas, and Veg. Burrito. Food was as per expectation. Also ordered non-alcoholic Grande Margaritas, which were really amazing. Pink guava is must try. Staff were really friendly. Overall good experience.
Vedant Kshirsagar
Uncomfortable seating. Very little cheese in cheese fries. Tasteless veg tacos. Staff is friendly. Only thing which had any taste in veg food was rice bowl

When in Pondicherry, you must try the food at this place for the love that is being put into the it. The menu has been set carefully and has options for everyone. At the time we were there, they were still not serving liquor so we ordered virgin frozen margaritas and I still remember the taste because it was too good. I havent had virgin drinks like this before. For food, we ordered prawns and fish in almond sauce. Firstly, the potion size was so big that we couldnt finish the food and it was really amazing tastewise. We spoke with the person who owns this place and it felt like this person knows not only his food but understands other people's taste buds. It was truly a foodgasm for us.
Pravin Kumar
Awesome Mexican restaurant in Puducherry, a must try place for all mexican lovers.. the taste was excellent and ambiance... Best place to free out ur stress
Seemavkothari
The most authentic Mexican food you’ll find around in town n the price is decent too. A must visit.
P. S. Veg nachos is a must try here !
Smitha Nair
Chicken chimichanga was a letdown. Only margaritas were the saving grace. Even the chips& salsa tasted bland. The ambience and the service was pretty good though.

This place is good to go. Hamg out with buddies. And good paintaings to keep yourself calm until food arrives. Had ordered enchiladas, burritos, fajitas and some pink guava pint. I like the most is mox fajitas and rest wasnt enough to get me high. Pink guava fruit drink is good enough for 5 person. Well my eyes caugth on the girl server while she was having water from the jug itself.

Visited this place for dinner during our visit to Pondicherry. This place has a nice ambiance which suits the cuisine they are serving. The staff is really humble and well aware of the dishes in the menu and can make recommendations as per your needs. The service is a bit slow, both Table and kitchen service which maybe due to the reason, the place was entirely packed.
Chicken tortilla soup was amazing and the flavours were really nice.
Chicken Quesadilla was also good, not the best that i had eaten till date.
Mexican Chicken Lollipops were the best dish we had at this place. It's a must try at this place.
I tried Chimichangas for the first time at this place, so can't judge if it was good or bad, but personally i didn't like it
Karan Pupneja
One of the best mexican food, I ever had. The chicken nuggets were delicious. Buritos were outstanding (veg & non-veg). Staff was very humble and polite. Must try it.

The four star is mainly for the food of this Mexican restaurant which was amazing. Good presentation, generous amount and of course good to taste. The predominantly red decor added to the ambience.

We ordered mainly from the salad and starter section of the menu. Grilled Chicken Taco Salad and deep fried Calamari. The salad was amazing but I wish there was more greens in it. For drinks we had a Pina Colada and Mojito. No complains on the food and drinks front.

But what is preventing me from giving 5 stars is mainly the staff. They kept hurrying us to order. Then they mixed up the Sangria order. We wanted white wine and they only had red. And they were a little too helpful when they suggested how to eat the salad which came in crispy taco bowl and was meant to be crushed and sprinkled. The suggestion was not needed.

The washroom was messy and it matters.
Yugal Shandilya
Amazing food and great ambience. So this restaurant is famous for Mexican food and boy it is so great. They serve the most amazing veg nachos and chicken tacos.
I had Blue Marina for drinks which wasn’t bad either.
Snigdha Rudola
The menu consists of a vareity of dishes and all are delicious! The ambience is lovely and the staff is prompt. The place is slightly expensive but definitely worth the money.

A tour of this town in incomplete if you skipped this place. It is that good and trust me - I am not exaggerating.
These are what we went for -

1. Chicken chimichanga - Go for it with EYES Closed. The chicken was so good - and the rice was soft and tasty. The garnishing made it look even better. It's like everything I ever wanted in a food. 😍😋

2. Sangria - Another great suggestion by fellow zomato reviewers. The beverage was refreshing as any beverage should be and was a great addition to our table which was already filled with out of the world dishes.

3. Chips and salsa - Nachos is a must try in any Mexican restaurant and it was exactly the way it's supposed to be. Tangy spicy and crispy - in one word yummmmmm.

Narendran Ananthakumar
The place seems unassuming from outside, but the interiors are good with decent seating options.

We had ordered cheese balls, chicken quesadillas & chicken drumsticks and were delighted by the presentation, quantity & taste of the food items.

The two things that I didn't like were : 1. The quality of restroom. (Will recommend holding your bodily functions). 2. A male server had taken our main course order but forgot to convey to the concerned and as a result I cancelled the order.

Still, I will recommend just for the food.
Ravjot Bindra
Great offer of free dessert for on the spot zomato review
Tried chicken Emphanada, veg fajita and veg Chimichuri. A must visit place for Every foodie and tourist. Best place in Puducherry for Mexican🇮🇹 food.
Chicken Emphanada-8. 5/10
Veg fajitas-7. 5/10
Veg Chimichuri-9/10

Great ambience and very supporting staff
Aditi Prabhu
Went for dinner.
We ordered taco chiken salad and red snapper in veracruz sauce with rice and salad in main course.
These two dishes are enough for two people. Decor of this restaurant gives mexican look, red walls, hats hanging and gothic lampshades.
Its value for money, prices are affordable and food is awsome.
We also had pink gauva margarita and ocen blue mojhito both were decent. Staff is friendly and servicev is quick

Food 4.5/5

Service 5/5

Ambience 3/5

Simran Bedi
We loved the name of the restaurant. Menu is elaborate It's a nicely done place. We enjoyed our meal. Service is very quick. We tried burito rice bowl and fazita sizzler. Food was okay not too good like we expected it to be but decent enough
Itstheyofactor
Great food...Customer friendly people...Excellent service. I am totally in love with the different choices of drinks that they have to offer. This will definitely be my goto place always.
Shaikh Ayub Hasan
Margaritas is a Mexican speciality restaurant which should be on your to-do list in Pondicherry.

AMBIANCE : Not much to be said. Spacious dimly lit comfortable interiors.

FOOD : We tried the chicken lemon adobo, chicken chimichanga and lamb tacos. The adobo was the best of the lot. Spicy chicken breast pieces grilled in spicy Mexican sauce finished with a dash of lemon this dish soars to be one of the must try items in this place. The chimichanga was a chicken parcel with cheese basically. And tasted good. However lamb tacos were average at best.

POCKET PINCH : A hearty meal for two would cost around 700 for 2.

FINAL VERDICT : At a price point that it comes and serving lip-smacking authentic Mexican cuisine this place deserves a try.
Jamie Priestley
Forgot to send ONE of only TWO main meals in my order. Promised to deliver the missed item straight away and then didn't bother. Registered formal complaint. Terrible service. Don't order from this place.
Vatsal Rathod
Its an overrated place.
Tried nachos, chimichanga and tacos mexicana. None of them were good. I wonder how these guys managed to get 4.5 rating with such a poor food.
Dr Sandipan Chowdhuri
Probably the only Mexican restaurant in town. We had virgin mojito, a strawberry cooler drink, tortilla soupy, chicken taco Mexicana, grilled fish burrito, homemade tiramisu and brownies with chocolate ice cream. Decor was quirky. Staff were friendly and food was superb. Very memorable experience. Dr. Paromita Adhikary

One of the best places for Mexican food in Pondicherry. One should definitely try the Prawn Quesadillas, it's full of flavour and a delightful combination of prawns and cheese.
The Chicken Enroladas were okay, a tad bit oily. The Spicy Guava mojito is amazing. Enchanting ambience. Would love to visit again!
Yashomana Choudhury
This is my first time at this resturant and left satisfied. The ambience is average, not too fancy but okay. We went for dinner and ordered their lamb nachos for starters and took the Mixed Asada platter for main course. Both the dishes are quite filling and delicious. The meat was juicy, tender and spicy.
I would recommend to try the Mixed Asada platter as you get three types of meat (chicken, lamb and prawn) with four types of dips( though not fan of the guacamole) and plain tortillas. Their pricing is reasonable and quantity is quite filling. It was a good experience and will love to visit again.

This is the 1st & last time I'd be trying the Mexican cuisine 😬
NOT BECAUSE OF THE RESTAURANT !!!
I just didn't like it 😬

*LambQuesadillas: YUM !!! 😍

*ChickenEnchiladas: 👎👎👎

*ChickenChimmichanga: Almost tasted like Chicken samosa 😑

AMBIENCE: Could hv been better.
While planning this trip to Puducherry, i bookmarked Margaritas for lunch during the weekend. I was here yesterday afternoon.

There was plenty of parking nearby so it wasn't a big problem getting in here.

As you enter the restaurant, you see a elegantly designed interiors in red with Afremov paintings adorning the walls. Ambiance leaves you with warm feeling and while the light is little less, it's perfect to read the menu.

Service was top notch with staff greetting us as we enter. They were courteous and helpful throughout. They know the food well and were able to explain when we asked about some of the items.

One of the complaints I always had with restaurants in Pondy and Goa is that, if you are a foodie from a place like Bangalore, they are very underwhelming because you would've tasted better. However, Margaritas was an exception and really stood out.

Zomato shows this among highest rated romantic places for dinner in Pondicherry so we decided to try this for our dinner during Pondicherry trip.

This is an average size place with comfortable seating arrangements. We noticed a large group of youngsters was enjoying their dinner and the atmosphere was filled with light humor. The decor was average with small lamps hanging from roof complimenting red painted walls.

We asked for our server for their best dishes in vegetarian and he recommended Veg Quesadillas and Veg Enchiladas. Enchiladas are usually a form of Burrito served in a bed of sauce. Also, burritos are usually made with flour tortillas, while enchiladas are usually made with corn tortillas. Since this is smothered with sauce, you can’t eat enchiladas only with hands :)

We loved the quesadillas and finished them in no time. It was really great. It was my first experience with enchiladas and I absolutely liked it. To enjoy it, you should not compare it with burritos. Also, these are not as heavy as burritos. The rice accompanying the main dish was also very tasty.

Our overall experience was good we would love to go there again to try our hands on more Mexican dishes.
Himanshu Setia
Its the best Mexican food i have ever head. We had chimichunga, fajitas and nachos. I liked chimichunga a lot, it had great flavours and the accompanying red enchilada sauce helped in savouring the whole dish. The pina colada(non-alcoholic) was good too. Also, The food served was in timely manner. I would really like to recommend this restaurant who wants to try mexican delicacies. Overall it was a treat for my taste buds. :)
Joseph Thomas
Good ambiance, tasty food and good service. We also enjoyed the Mariachi themed music. We also had the Sangria and loved it. Food preparation was also prompt. Would definitely visit again!
Abhinaw Maheshwari
Average Mexican joint. Good ambience and polite staff but food didn’t taste that great as read in other reviews. As vegetarian we ordered 3 dishes and only 1 came out well. Ordered strawberry margarita by reading very good reviews but it was very sugary syrup but do try pina colada, it was really good.
Mounamukhar Das
Absolutely worth the rating of 4.4 on Zomato. I went to this place with my wife for lunch on our visit to Pondicherry. This place serves Mexican food items so we chose to go to this place.

We ordered one Sangria and Lime Margarita in soft drinks.
In food, we ordered one Grilled Chicken taco salad, one fried mushrooms in garlic sauce and one Chicken Chimichanga.
Each of the food items were good in portion and tasted awesome. We were really full after having these 3 dishes.
The prices of the food were really reasonable considering the portion of the food they served along with the awesome taste. All of the above dishes cost us 977/- only. I am from Kolkata and I have been to Chilli's for similar kind of food and these same dishes at Chilli's would have costed us around 2500/- and let me tell you that both the food portion and taste were much much better than that of Chilli's.

The ambience is also great with soft Mexican music playing in the background and nice wall hanging paintings all over the place. Their service and hospitality is also worth mentioning.
Aniruddha Chatterjee
Worst Mexican food I ever had! Poor hospitality, arrogant staff. Every dish taste the same. Overall unpleasant experience. They are creating a false impression / taste on Mexican food.
Mithun John Jacob
The best of Mexican in Pondi. You can choose anything with your eyes closed.
The ambience is great combined with an extremely gracious staff :-)
Shilpa Saha
Food was average..but I love the ambience 💓 I ordered chicken enchiladas which was quite good..but loved veg burrito.. overall pocket friendly

Found another gem stone in Pondy. This time a Mexican cuisine #Margaritas. What a wonderful experience. …For the time when i was inside the restaurant i felt like being in remote Mexico.
The ambiance and the food at Margaritas is as good as it can be close to any Mexican joint in US.

Food Ordered

1. Chicken Fajitas - 4.5
2. Mixed Fajitas (Chicken, Shrimp, Lamb) - 4.5
3. Chicken Quesadilla - 4
4. Veg Nachos for starters - 4
5. Chicken Rice Bowl - 4
6. Veg Enchiladas - 4
7. Veggie Burrito wrap - 4
8. Fish fingers for starters - 4
9. Mojito for Beverage - 4
10. Tiramisu for Dessert - 3.5

The fajitas came with the side of soft tacos and 3 spreads (Chipotle sauce, Sour cream and black beans). The meat was nicely cut and it was filled with flavor. Especially the lamb meat chunks in the mixed fajitas was so juicy and tender. It was so well cooked. I made my hand dirty by making my own burrito with the tacos and the meat...it was heavenly though... :)

The sour cream, chipotle butter sauce, guacamole and the back beans are born to make the burrito for what it is now. the chicken, shrimp and the lamb with all the onions, green and red peppers kept my hand busy between my mouth and the plate.

The chicken rice bowl had a nice combo of rice, chicken, the veggies and beans covered with melted cheese. The veg nachos was great as a starter along with the fish fingers. The dips are so authentic and goes well with the food.

The price was bit expensive though but the food was super good. It would be a brilliant move if the restaurant owners decide reduce the price to some extent.
Overall it was like "Mexico in Pondy". A must try place for an authentic Mexican Food. 4/5
Vivek
Nice twist while trying new continental other than north and south Indian cuisines. Innovative Mexican cuisine with a great punch. Everyone should give it a try.

One of the best places to go to when in puducherry.
Every dish being with a superb taste was topped on by ultra polite staff to make the experience memorable.

It's a good place with a nice ambience to have mexican food. The service was great and mexican lollipops are a must try if you're here for a meal.

What a lovely place to have Mexican food! The enchiladas and the chicken fajitas were awesome. Strawberry margarita is a must. But the showstopper for me were the Mexican lollypops. They were so soft and juicy. The veg taco bowl was so good as well. The food is worth the money you pay. Do visit.

Why not. Why not Mexican for lunch. I thought I will Friday khalo in the restaurant. But it was really disappointing. Food is not good. They asked us to post review and gave us one dry complementary desert.

As vegetarians we do not come really good mexican restaurants but we finally found an amazing mexican place , Margaritas . The nachos were really amazing . They were dressed with chesse and jalapeños and salsa . We ordered the veg fajita and a rice bowl the quantity presentations all lived up to the standards of our expectations .
The service and ambience was also pretty good.
Overall a memorable dinning experience.
It's a pretty good restaurant with some good music. If you are fed up with french you should try this complete mexican style dinning! This could be a wise choice for a different cuisine.

Best fish fingers I've had so far, you'll crave more for cheesy french fries. Chicken burrito was tasty, a good mexican place with some great taste in music. Seating could be made more comfortable.

Superb music, good Mexican food. Mocktails were also on point. Tacos were fine, it had too much cooked stuffing. Starters were great, nachos, Quesadillas and cheesy fries
