Atmosphere was pleasant & very happy to see beach close having beer,food with friends. I'm second time visiting the restaurant because of dining by the beach.
Food was good, the fish fingers were super tasty, naan was very bad and the dried rice was average. Chicken butter masala was good too. The view and price is excellent. Waiters love to be tipped! One of the best view and drinks u can get
Although this place desperately needs a renovation, I would say coming here gave me dystopian vibes and a feeling of visiting a place locked in time with relatively elderly waiters and staff. The concrete is cracked in places and the chairs and tables are old and rickety. You can get your booze settled here and the location is excellent - right by the beach and the prices are cheap. I rate the places by the kind of experiences they offer and by no means is this place an eye candy but it has got you covered for food and drink with a beach view and sea breeze. I wonder how long this place has been around and I am sure you can have a great conversation with the staff about how Pondicherry has changed over the years.
I had my doubts about this place when our driver got us here saying it is one of the best places to have some seafood.
Oh boy, he was right! Their fish curry was just amazing. Kind of spicy which is exactly how we wanted (you can also ask them to dial it a little down on the spice, if you want)
Also, the view is great from the 1st floor. Very peaceful and scenic. One thing they can probably improve on is their interiors/washrooms.
I really loved this place, not so crowded and you can have a great view of the sea from the place itself.
The food also tastes really good and the quantity was good too.
A good sea side location for spending time.
