Review Punjabi Dhaba Auroville - Pondicherry

Nikita Agarwalla
North Indian speciality Dhaba in Auroville. Parathas here are must try, it's available in the morning for breakfast. I tried Gobi Paratha with curd there which was yumm. For lunch I tried Chole Masala and Matar fried rice, it was good. Compared with the price the quality and quantity of food served are reasonable. The prices are economical. UPI payment available. They also have a bunch of varieties of jewelleries like earrings, necklaces hanging in the wall to sell.

food was really tasty here and the portion they server was actually good. We were 5 people and was not able to consume 4 plate rice at all. People can have lunch here while visiting auroville

The food was good here but the ambience was just okay. Considering the price range it was all worth it and the service was good along with the helpful waiters.

Amazing food with a genuine touch of the north! They have tandoori and BBQ along with the rotis, Dal's and sabzis to offer. Great tasting food, with generous portions, fairly priced and a no BS experience. Please note that this is typical dhaba kinda food, so expect it to be oily but equally yummy!
HYOSUNG KIM
so tasty from Homemade Lassi to soy curry everything was so yummy. I'll definitely try another dishes later!

Liked the food. Dont go with the size of restaurants because it's a one room restaurant but the food is very tasty. Prices are very reasonable.

We being North Indian were craving for daal fry, daal makhni and for other north foods. And our carvings got satisfied here. The place is very very raw n small but the food is amazing. Our kids were very happy. They also has some accessories in their place and we bought many in nominal rates. The person who is probably owner or manager was very nice and cooperative. If you really want to eat north indian food in Pondicherry try them. They are the best at very very nominal price.

The food was extremely delicious. But the star of the show was the roti. The rotis were perfect. Any student, fed up with the hostel food would absolutely love the home cooked - like food.
Delicious and cheap.

Awful food, very oily... unable to eat coz too spicy and wrong order delivered also. Unable to place another order coz they suddenly close online order...
Hopefully the delivery man was really nice

I came for a vacation and was searching for a pocket friendly north indian restaurant. Landed here and the food was amazing along with the delhiete guy who handles the management efficiently. Go for Palak paneer and the Parathas.
Chalapathi Vin
Ordered jeera rice, matar pulav, phulka ,palak paneer. All are nice but could not figure out any difference in taste between jeera rice and matar pulav except matar. Ambience is nice. Lassi is cool as a last touch. Most importantly within budget. Quantity is correct which discourage the wastage

This place is a must visit if you are craving for some on the budget north indian food in pondicherry. They serve the best punajabi style food, and the owner being a punjabi himself, you can get the homely atmosphere of north india. It also features a roof top seating arrangement, not an ideal place for date, but definitely good if you want to chill with your friends.
Unfortunately, i dont have any pictures of the food, or ambience..but i can definitely tell you its a good one..

Tandoor was not available when we came and order delivery was damn late.In addition to that the washroom is not clean and ac is not working.

Most underrated place around, I ugly recommend this if you're looking for north indian place around auroville or Pondicherry. It is very small place run by family from Delhi. The owners took really good care of us.
