Review La Ratatouille - Pondicherry

Swamynathan P.V.
While walking on the streets of Pondicherry , we found this restaurant . Seemed costly from outside .With zero expectations we went in to have some desserts . But seeing their price we decided to try their pizzas and pasta.. it was around 100 bucks for a pizza....it was so yummy and i felt a different taste of pizza here . 😍 Also we bought french eclair (thought of trying it as i have never heard of this name) but it was perfect for a dessert 😌 The layer of custard cream inside it ...it ll take you out of the world. Not to forget the chocolate swizz roll . It literally melts in your mouth as it is so so so delicious ! Definite tru in Pondicherry 🏖️

The food was good. I has a beef burger the bread was good but the beef felt a bit uncooked. The ambience is good and the owner and staff are friendly. The place is on the roadside and the less crowded street gives a good feeling. The food available are show cased at the entrance itself. Eventhough the place is small it gives a comfy feeling.

Yaha Ka pizza khao aur khud jaan jao😜😋😋😋 It was yummylicious. I loved the sweet cream kind of dish in the pastry section. I don't remember the name exactly but it was prepared using rum.

People here are very humble and willing to customize everything... We wanted to have single dish something light and fresh, but we liked it so much that we end up ordering five different dishes.. :-) We ordered - 2 veg sandwiches, one chicken burger, one garlic bread and a desert.

Enjoyed mostly since I am a Ratatouille (the movie) fan. The food is pretty decent.

Small cafe but coffee and sweets( I had butter croissant which was fresh and flaky and Crème brûlée which was really creamy and fresh). Do check this place out for relatively cheap and awesome cafe.

Good food at descent price....nice interiors. Good for dates and small group outing. Space is a constrain. But food is one of the around the place.

I loved the place. We only tried a few dishes though. Service was great, but a bit slow. It was not crowded for breakfast even though the seating capacity is about a dozen people. I was therefore fine with the wait. Cakes, pastries and croissants are displayed looked mouth watering. Also a French lady visited for what I think to be her regular espresso and the host conversed in French.

Their speciality is Ratatouille. It was tasty. Sandwich was not tasty.

It was an amazing experience for the 6 of us, who literally stumbled upon this restaurant, searching for French breakfast. Among us, we hardly left any item unordered! The croissants, the quiches, the raisin & chocolate Danish, the pizzas, coffee (3 varieties) were just gulped down... we actually forgot our diabetes, cholesterol etc momentarily as we enjoyed the food.... the staff are very sweet and courteous... I'd rate it 7 stars 👍

Quaint little place on Mission Street. Really cozy. The crew was really nice. I had a caramel, chicken ratatouille, and a chicken burger. Good taste, slightly expensive. The burger was quite dry but the other things were good. Especially the ratatouille. Very tasty. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing place with the sweetest and most accommodating staff. Not only is this corner place extremely clean and cutely done up, but they have some of the best freshly baked bread that I've ever had. Definitely a hidden gem in the streets of White Town and an absolute must-try!
