Review New Lighthouse Restaurant - Port Blair

Came here after reading good reviews.......had the red sniper fish which was amazing. Balti fish was like Goan fish curry but it was quite spicy. .....wish had more time to try other items.... maybe next time. Ambience is not bad especially with the cool wind blowing.

I went to this place twice, lobsters was fine but the other recommended dish by the waiter was yummy, great place for a beer & food, must try food joint in port Blair. I would highly recommend this place. It’s reasonably priced.

The New Lighthouse Restaurant in Andaman is a culinary haven! Its picturesque seaside location creates a stunning ambiance, complemented by impeccable service and a diverse menu featuring fresh seafood and delectable local cuisine. The cozy yet vibrant atmosphere makes it an ideal spot for a delightful dining experience, capturing both the essence of Andaman's beauty and its culinary delights. We trued their crab chilli, lobster chilli and grilled tiger prawns which were too good. The staff is very polite. They have open air seating both in ground and first floor. They allow us to choose from the raw fish, crab and lobster which will be displayed to us.Don’t forget to end your meal with their tasty caramel custard.

Amazing taste and wonderful service. Kind enough to explain each dish before we ordered which helped select better. They show you live crab and fishes in their stock before you order. Hats off to the team. Would love to visit again.

The restaurant is in a great spot, and their staff provided exceptional service. They have been around for 27 years and offer delicious meals!! We had the biggest crab I've ever seen, which was cooked quickly and tasted amazing! Although it isn't necessarily known for its atmosphere, it's certainly worth a visit for its local Andaman seafood. However, I think the price of the live crab was quite excessive.

Located very close to the Aberdeen Jetty and the Rajiv Gandhi water sports complex, it provides culinary delights not only in seafood but other dishes as well. The service is also very good. But the restaurant lacks air conditioning. The cool sea breeze does play its part really well, but some people might feel bothered because of it.

Food is expensive in terms of quantity served and service delay was observed

This is an old restaurant with an Irani cafe kind of setup. It's centrally located and is well known for seafood options. They play songs from old Bollywood movies which lends a nostalgic vibe to the place. Various types of fish, lobster, crabs are put up on display for one to choose and get it prepared as per personal preference. Seating is outdoor but is well ventilated. Prices are reasonable, taste is awesome and service is quick. Their fresh lime water and Caramel custard are absolutely amazing! Surely worth a visit in Port Blair.

Beautiful location, quick service. Nonveg food seems to be more popular than veg options. We tried - Veg steak sizzlers - 3.5/5 - comes with a sweetish white sauce. Fresh lime juice - 5/5 - refreshing!

I recently dined at the New Light House Restaurant and had an incredible experience. This place is a seafood lover's paradise, with a fantastic selection of fresh sea delicacies. The restaurant's reputation for its seafood dishes is well-deserved, and I was thoroughly impressed with the variety they offered. The ground floor is perfect for intimate family gatherings or mini parties. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it an ideal setting for enjoying a meal with loved ones. The fusion of North Indian and Chinese cuisine on their menu was a delightful surprise, offering something for everyone. One of the standout features is the wide range of food options available at a nominal cost for two or more people. This affordability without compromising on quality is truly commendable. Moving upstairs to the first floor, the availability of chilled beer to complement the diverse menu was a refreshing touch. The highlight of my visit was the opportunity to select fresh seafood items like lobster, tiger prawns, and regular prawns, and have them prepared to order. This personalized touch allowed me to enjoy the flavors of the sea in the way I preferred. The skilled chefs did an outstanding job in bringing out the best in these dishes. Overall, I highly recommend the New Light House Restaurant to anyone looking for a seafood feast with a mix of North Indian and Chinese flavors. The comfortable environment, great food variety, reasonable prices, and attentive staff make it a must-visit dining destination. Whether you're planning a family get-together or simply craving a memorable meal, this restaurant certainly delivers on its promise.

Though need to wait a long in the rush lunch hour, but food taste great. Got seat in the ground floor. Its non AC restaurant, so bit tiring in the peak hot weather. Had a giant crab masala and king fish. King fish was not so great, bit chewy. But crab was awesome. caramel custard was also delicious
