Review Chingari - Pune

Ankur Dhanuka
Cheers to the perfect destination for a fantastic experience! The ambiance, food, tranquility, service, and celebrations all come together seamlessly. Located in the heart of Pune’s city center, atop the upscale Sheraton hotel next to the railway station, it’s an ideal spot for celebrating with family and friends. Our visit on November 19th, my birthday, was truly memorable. From the moment we arrived, parking was hassle-free with valet service. The restaurant’s entrance already set a positive tone for our evening. The rooftop setting, beneath the moon and stars, created a mesmerizing atmosphere that pictures can’t fully capture. With various seating options accommodating large groups, it’s a versatile venue. While Google Maps states it’s open until 11:30 pm, it closes at 11 pm. We arrived at 10:15 pm, just in time for the last order. We indulged in delicious dal chingari (black dal), and roti. The authentic ghee flavor in the dal surpassed even the famed dal makhani from North India. Highly recommended! Accompanying the meal were pickle, papad, chutney, and achar. Drinks were complemented by quality peanuts. The menu caters to both vegetarians and non-vegetarians with a balanced selection. I’m confident that other dishes are equally delightful. The service was commendable, prompt and attentive. Despite occasional noise from the nearby railway station and dim lighting in some areas making it challenging to read the menu, these minor inconveniences were overshadowed by the overall great experience. - drafting supported by ChatGpt

One of the best places for celebrating of your special day. Our experience at this restaurant was just amazing. It's located on the rooftop of Sheraton Grand Hotel, next to Pune Railway Station. You can get great views of Pune City from this place. There is pool on the rooftop and the ambience here is pretty amazing. Food wise, we started with the Dahi ke Kebab, I never knew curd could be deep fried, and it was absolutely delicious, I will definitely recommend you to try it. We also had the Bharwan Shahi Paneer Tikka, the Paneer was soft and the grilled vegetables along this had an amazing taste. For mains, we ordered Laccha Paratha, Roti, Garlic Naan and Paneer Makhanwala, it was very tasty. Chef Rashid came out to ask exactly how we would like to have it and that was just a really good experience as guests. However, without a doubt the show stopper at Chingari, is their heavenly Dal Chingari (Dal Makhni), it was the most amazing dish of the day by far and you have to give it a try!! The hospitality by Hmingi, Mairav and Chef Rashid made our celebration special :) Shout out to the team. The only drawback of the restaurant that I could find is that some areas are not properly lit, we were having trouble reading the menu and seeing the food properly, but it was not a big issue and we were able to switch tables conveniently!!

One of the best romantic rooftop restaurants in pune.. but it's bit overpriced for the food and service they provide.. Went on weekend hoping there would be some live music but just some random indie pop remix songs played.... staff was friendly but didn't attend us much as we had to call them everytime we wanted something... Best Kababs and starters.... n other main course is average.. and dessert menu is very limited.. We tried kulfi but it tastes like a regular kulfi we get on a street.. So you can go there just for romantic ambience once in a while but it would be hard on pocket..

The food at Chingari was a masterpiece, and the atmosphere was pure elegance. Sharing this experience with an old friend made it unforgettable.

If watching trains pass by gets you all nostalgic about your childhood and takes you back to good memories of traveling, then Chingari is the place . Located on the 8th floor of Hotel Sheraton Grand, it's a rooftop restaurant that serves biryani, kebabs and Northern flavors. I enjoyed my drink just staring at the train station , good food , do try the kebabs, Awadhi murg biryani and don't miss the kulfi at the end. Service was good by Cinmay and other staff. The place has different seating area , since it was raining we sat in the covered area. A good place for family and also a date. Enjoyed a beautiful evening with family .

Roof top place is attractive in night with city views, bar in a hut, railway station from top, swimming pool, seating arrangements, and lights. The food is tasty and I felt awesome. The service too. The price I find perfect for the experience.

Excellent Indian food. Very tasty and great quality. Tender mutton pieces in the biryani. Could do with better lighting next to the pool but great ambience overall.

Chingari - An Awadhi themed fine dine restaurant at The Sheraton Grand, next to Pune Railway Station (earlier Le Meridian) Chingari is famous for its roof top restaurant theme and deserves the fame it has earned over the years. First ever restaurant we visited post COVID situation with family and we were happy with the arrangements. Polite and courteous staff. The food was really well prepared and was served beautifully. We tried all vegetarian options this time and loved the non-paneer starters for a change. Bar menu is very vast and one can get good options in non-alcoholic beverages as well. Great place to take your family, friends or colleagues here to enjoy elite class Awadhi cuisine. Just be careful about the cost, this place is not pocket friendly.

Good option if you’re looking for rooftop place for family or date. Place is very amazing ambiance wise. Food options are little less. Food and drinks are costly. , because this restaurant is on rooftop on five star hotel.

Loved the ambience, Food , service . Overall it was a great experience. We had chicken malai Tikka, It was tender, soft, rightly cooked to give you the authentic flavour of malai Tikka. Also had chicken dum biryani , It was also nice. 2nd visit : I went with my In-laws for the celebration of birthday and we had few dishes like malai kofta, butter paneer. The experience was nice and food was awesome. The hospitality was top class. We had A-mazing pan and sweets there. The manager at Chingari, Aranya was very kind and offered us some complimentary sweets also.

I was searching for a romantic place for valentine's for candle light dinner when i came across Chingari. The valentine's candle light dinner package seemed good to me and i was not disappointed on the day. They had a beautiful table setup with a customised center piece. We were served with delicious welcome mocktails. They had 6 starters and 6 main course and 2 desert menu. Taste of food was excellent and staff service and promptness was commendable. Some of the best dishes wer najuk ghosht ki seekh, lal mirch ka paneer, kesar phirni and malai kulfi with gulab jamun. In the main course we tried butter chicken. It was not the best but still good enough. I would definitely recommend this place to any couples looking for a romantic evening..

I visited Chingari for the famous Kashmiri Food Festival and it was a wonderful experience! The food was scrumptious and reminded me of the rich Kashmiri flavours. For starters, I had the Chicken Kante and The Kashmiri seekh Kebab. The chicken Kante was super delicious. In fact even though it is a starter, it can be had with Naan. The Kashmiri seekh kebab is my all time favourite and one cannot do wrong with this one. It was extremely juicy and flavourful. Highly recommend these starters. I also has the Paneer Kante- The taste was similar to the Chicken Kante. The paneer was very soft melted in the mouth. Very flavorful and a must have for vegetarians. For the mains there were a variety of dishes- Mutton Mirchi Korma Mutton Kismat Korma Rogan Josh Palak Rista Mutton Gushtaba I had all these gravies along with Butter Naan and Kulchas. It tasted really good. The gravies were very rich and delicious. It gave a typical Kashmiri flavour. Each dish was unique in its own sense. My Personal favourite was the Mutton Gushtaba. This gravy was made in Yoghurt and was extremely flavourful. They also had DIY paan. Like the name suggests you could make your own Paan with your choice of It was a great experience tasting Kashmiri food. Naturals has always been my favourite when it comes to ice creams. They always have fresh stock and they never disappoint. I love their variety of flavours. All the ice creams are creamy and absolutely delicious. They keep introducing new flavours and they never fail to impress. The seating arrangement is good and they also have parking space. Friendly staff and super quick service. Loved it! Chingari is a roof-top restaurant with a good ambience. Overall, great experience.

The Rooftop Ambiance and fact it’s next to the Pool makes it mesmerising to hangout with friends and family. It could have been perfect only if the menu had more options 👌

Amazing place and amazing atmosphere. Here I have something to say, which is very close to my heart - Almost 5years back during our college days, me and my boyfriend use to look at the top of yesterday’s Le Meridian and today’s Sheraton grand and wonder ‘one day we will be at a stage of our life when we will be seating in this restaurant and having candle light dinner’ on Feb 15, 2020 after 6 years here we are❤️ you can imagine my day and experience with this private picture that I have shared here. 😇✨

We chose this restaurant because of its 4.2 rating on Zomato. This was a corporate dinner with the Global HR head. The service was pathetic, they took 40 mins to serve 1 order. After waiting for 40 mins we get under cooked starters, mocktails took 30 mins to be served which were not chill. The Captain & waiters continued to ignore the request for little quick service. To top it all 3 customers went yelling for poor service despite of paying high. In all visit this place only if you have leisure time.

The restaurant is small in size however the food and services more than make up for the lack of room , the rooftop restaurant along with the white noise from pool lightens the mood , the food was amazing and staff was courteous , overall was a very pleasant experience.<br/>I was in-house and the front office staff recommended this restaurant<br/>The highlight being the saunf and spice platter .<br/><br/>Will definitely visit next time I travel to Pune .

Chingari is one of the few places in Pune which have such an amazing ambiance. I had recently been there for their Malts and Kebab festival<br/><br/>The place looks really amazing in the evening time and is a perfect date place<br/><br/>The Malts and Kebab Festival is gonna go on till the 31st of October and they have a huge variety in kebabs to try from<br/><br/>The things I tried there were :<br/><br/>Kastoori Kebab : Boneless Chicken Pieces marinated in ginger garlic paste, spiced with black pepper and coated with eggs and grilled. The quantity of the Kastoori Kebab was really good and I really loved the taste of the Kebab too. Perfect to go with the malt😋<br/><br/>Bhattiyar ke Jhinge : These were tiger prawns marinated in a mixture of ginger garlic paste and Chef's special herbs, finished in a clay oven. The size of the prawns was really huge and me being a seafood lover really liked it a lot<br/><br/>Galouti Kebab : The Galouti Kebab was really soft and they just melted in your mouth as soon as you eat them. Would recommend all of you to definitely try it here<br/><br/>Moong Dal Bhari Tikki : This was another of my favorite here. This was soo good that we called for a second portion of it. They were potato patties packed with yellow lentils spiced with ginger, chillies and coriander. This is something you shouldn't miss out on if you ever visit Chingari<br/><br/>Achari Macchi Tikka : These were pickled cubes of fish cooked in a clay Oven. There were eight huge pieces in total and was really filling. If you're a fish lover then you should definitely go for it<br/><br/>Overall I really liked the food and loved the ambiance here. Like I said before the place is an amazing date place and you should definitely try out the Malts and Kebab festival before it ends on the 31st of October<br/>

Chef Imtiaz Qureshi is the man behind the brand Bukhara.<br/>He revived the tradition of Dum Pukht cooking in India.<br/>Qureshi was the first chef ever to have been conferred upon the Padma Shri honour.<br/>And the gentleman, now in his 80s, is still in the pink of health, and very much cooking up storms every now and then.<br/>Pune's Sheraton Grand Hotel has one of his close kins working as the Head Chef at the hotel's rooftop restaurant Chingari.<br/>Presenting the surreal Gosht Dum Biryani that he cooked for us during a recent visit !🙏<br/>Just Heavenly!!

we went there on saturday night There weren’t many people still we were served so late. The menu card and water was given after asking twice<br/><br/>The food came quickly we ordered one starter which was really great <br/>But the main course was not at all good. The sabzi was tasting like tomato sauce and rice wasnt that great either. There was no richness in the sabzi . We had ordered some paneer gravy sabzi.<br/>Not at all happy with the food<br/>It looked like we were eating from ready to eat MTR food packet. <br/>Really disappointed.<br/>

If you are the one who loves Mughalai and north indian food, please visit. We ordered dal chingari and pudina lachha and the taste was amazing. Also, it was my wife's b'day they presented a cake as gesture. It was such a pleasant visit.

it does not give you feeling of being on the top of Sheraton, small table, poor ambience, average food, only service was commendable, i will never visit again, there are so many other better rooftops in Pune. Again to make it clear service n staffs were good.
Dr Sumit Bhatti
The most amazing rooftop restaurant in Pune. Very tasty food, great ambience, teriffic quantity. The hospitality with Mr. Purna Sharma at the helm is heart warming. Must visit place for all. Very child friendly.

i ordered the chiken curry and roti , i say with a satisfied heart that chiken n roti were very good and was cooked to perfection.the place is extremely neat and very hygienic.

It is at roof top, the view from above is best, loved the hospitality, should visit this place . It is an perfect place for nice poolside dinner.

A poolside dinner is always romantic. Is not it .  dim light, cold breeze through pool, candle light nothing can go wrong in a dinner date.<br/><br/>About food, if you are someone who doesn't like spicy food like me, this place is a treat. I loved the  Biryani, low in spices yet flavorful. Well, as I mentioned earlier, lighting was very dim so I could not really take good pictures.<br/>Try it ......................

Excellent food quality and great ambiance. Only thing which is lacking is snail speed service. <br/>Large variety of liquor’s and decent menu but only thing which is missing is service.
Sajal Goyal
I have been here today and starters were good but less in quantity and main course was good. Disappointed from bar as I had ordered single malt and first 2 choices were not available. This is not something which is expected from brand Sherton out of stock on a weekend. :-(<br/>

Situated on the roof top at the Sheraton Grand...this place is truly romantic just besides the swimming pool with the cool breeze brushing your face n having the best Company to enjoy the evening.<br/>The variety of kababs are an excellent way to start ..just juicy n succulent - with the best cosmopolitan I have ever had.<br/>The main course Murg Khaas Handi n Dal Chingari...these were good with Missi roti. We ended with Rabdi n Kulfi.<br/>The very courteous Staff made our Special day even more Special. Would recommend for a good romantic evening.

Visited this place for a special occasion. It is the perfect place for a nice poolside dinner for a date or family dinner.<br/><br/>Coming to the food, we ordered:<br/><br/>Moong Dal Bhari Tikki- A potato and lentil patty; it was very different from anything we had before. A must try<br/><br/>Lagan ka paneer with tandoori roti- the sabzi was okayish, a little above average<br/><br/>Subz Biryani- The biryani was good, although the flavor of ghee used in it was a bit overpowering.<br/><br/>The staff is courteous and hospitable.<br/><br/>It is a great option for a calm and beautiful dinner.

Very good rooftop restaurant. Had their Galauti and Ghost Biryani. Both the dishes were cooked to perfection. The saffron aroma was all over the dish. It was rich, perfect for a Nawab. The paan platter was a good twist to the fine dining experience. Staff was courteous and alert. Every table in the restaurant was taken, yet didn't feel like it was packed. Nice quiet candle light setting. Thank you team chingari.
Sumati Bhagat
Good ambience on the rooftop beside the pool soft breeze..wow.. accompanied with great north indian food... especially the moong dal kebab and lehsuni paneer tikka. Also to mention the rotis are perfect size for a person to have one and garlic naan.. super soft and delicious. The service is quite slow though one of the managers had been extremely helpful and was doing far good service than any of the other managers. Place is definitely nice to go however misses on the lighting part where it could improve, Service Needs To Be Better and may be include more food variety in veg.

So I decided to dine in at Chingari as it is known for its speciality in North Indian cuisine. In starters I ordered for Tandoori kukkad and for main course it was Murgh awadhi Biryani. The Biryani was lip smacking. Must try at the restaurant. But I was a little unhappy with the tandoori chicken as it was not served hot and was very dry. The service needs to be a bit more fast. It takes a bit of time to get the dish ordered and to have it on your table. But I would surely recommend the murgh awadhi biryani.

This is to bring to light my recent experience at Chingari, Sheraton, near station, Pune.<br/><br/>It was my father's birthday on 03/5/19, hence I wanted to make the occasion special.<br/>Therefore, dinner at Chingari.<br/><br/>Chingari was a place that we used to enjoy some amazing Mughlai food years ago.<br/>I do not like spreading negativity but this must bring our fellow foodies together and notice that just because once upon a time you had a good experience that it shall remember the same years after.<br/><br/>Let's begin with the positives.<br/><br/>Before ordering I mentioned to Jitender that we cannot have anything extremely spicy and mild spiced was acceptable.<br/><br/>Starters - reshmi kebabs are usually malai boneless chicken chunks, tandoored with mint chutney by the side. We were served minced chicken sheekh kebabs instead.<br/>They were superb but incorrect.<br/><br/>The Paneer pudina tikka was superb.<br/><br/>The Lamb Dum Biryani was ok and average.<br/><br/>We ordered Galawati kebabs and before ordering I told Jitender who was serving us graciously that we know what authentic Lucknowi Galawati kebabs are so please make sure that they are atleast somewhere close.<br/>To our dismay there was no meat and just channa binding and no taste and extremely spicy.<br/><br/>Jitender was told this and he brought a sheekh kebab which was inedible. Extremely spicy and no taste as a replacement.<br/><br/>The service was slow and we felt extremely neglected. We had guests and this made for such an embarrassing evening.<br/><br/>The Dal makhani was tasteless and just burning our insights.<br/><br/>Malai kofta had no cashew and tasteless.<br/><br/>Jitender offered to not charge for the food that wasn't good but the damage was already done.<br/><br/>All the above food has caused upset stomachs to the entire family.<br/>We are all on medication for the same reason now.<br/><br/>Extremely unfortunate and negative experience and I wouldn't recommend Chingari even if it was the last restaurant in Pune.<br/><br/>If there were rotten tomatoes awards for food and hospitality, Chingari would win hands down. Trust me this isn't a good award to win.<br/><br/>

Very nice place with good ambience....but it needs to be lighted well...food tasted amazing, especially butter chicken was very yum...would definitely recommend this place

This restaurant definitely needs a makeover.nothing was apealing apart from food.when u visit a 5 star hotel where everything is overpriced, you expect good service and definitely good ambiance. Staff definitely needs grooming about how to attend customer and be little courteous, warm and welcoming.none of the staff gave a simple smile or served us water until we asked for it.ambiance was so dark that i dont know what i ate, i couldn't see anything whatever was served on the table.over all i rate 3 out of 5 that too because the food tasted amazing.

Very romantic place to have a dinner date with your loved one. Rooftop pool side ambience and calm place with soothing music.<br/><br/>Staff gesture was very impressive. Food quality is no doubt 10 on 10.<br/><br/>The only thing disappointed was the lighting. With such a beautiful surrounding the lighting was a bit irritating. It can be changed to a light more soothing to eyes

The food is amazing . The staff was very warm welcoming and courteous to assist us with his recommendations for food we can order..ambiance was also very good

Hate to say this, but Chingari didn’t spark off! I will give then the benefit of doubt since we had gone in a big gang of 10 n there was lot of confusion on our end too.. but, even after placing the order the service was very slow. We had to wait for more than 50min and again for 10-10min for repeat orders (like the bread). The ambiance was also not very pleasing.. the lights were way too dim and there were mosquitoes around.. the food presentation was also ordinary. However the taste of the food was good... (saviour)!

Cozy cute rooftop, perfect for date nights and family gatherings. Dim lit and by the poolside making it very calm and beautiful. Plus to add on we went on a full moon night. <br/>Great experience as their food was rich and every dish was delicious. Star of the night however was their chingari dal makhanwala. Other favourites included the paneer tikka and moong dal bhari tikkis. Ended with a very note of gulab jamun and falooda kulfi. <br/>This place is a must visit and perfect for special occasions.

A perfect date place to have a dinner at the rooftop by the pool side with soothing music at the background. What else one could ask for.<br/>The menu is desgined by chef Ghulam Qureshi, who comes from a Qureshi family lineage. He is a culinary expert.<br/>We tried amazing Indian dishes.<br/><br/>Kokam Mocktail-<br/><br/>I liked the ting of spice added to the tangy kokam sharbat. A perfect start to the evening.<br/><br/>Next came appetisers -<br/><br/>Potato Sabudana Tikki - The potato Tikki filled with mix if urad dal along with few spices well coated with Sabudana to give a crisp crust. Loved the unique texture and taste. #recommended<br/><br/>#Paneer Tikka - Well marinated chunks of paneer prepared in tandoor to give smoky flavor. Absolutely delicious with balanced spices.<br/><br/>Mains -<br/><br/>Dal Chingari - This is a must try on the menu. I had two bowls full of this Dal. Creamy, rich and delicious. The best Dal I have ever had.<br/><br/>Vegetables in Green gravy - Not a huge fan if green gravy but liked the smooth texture of gravy with crunchy vegetables.<br/><br/>Desserts-<br/><br/>Platter - Melt in mouth gulab Jamun, kulfi along with fresh fruits. Gulab jamun was perfectly balanced on sweet with melt in mouth texture. Loved it

I decided to visit Chingari after hearing about its spectacular views.  This restaurant is situated on the top of a hotel overlooking the city, the intimate lighting making for a warm environment (despite the cold and the rooftop pool!).  Overall, I had the most spectacular service.  The servers were kind in serving me and making sure my glass was always filled.  The manager came to check on me throughout the meal as well.  To start, I had the paneer tikka, which was well seasoned and seared.  The saffron oil-dusted naan was made to order and complimented it well.  The dal makhani I had was extremely rich in flavor, the dal creamy from the butter.  It was good North Indian food.  I didn't care much for the dessert, which was the khoobani ka meetha.  The apricots were stewed with cardamon, which was a little overpowering.  It needed ice cream rather than fruit to compliment the flavors.  The dinner was quite expensive, however it comes with the location itself.  This restaurant is perfect for dates, small gatherings, and special events, the ambiance making the restaurant one of a kind.

Amazing ambiance! The moment you enter the rooftop, you are hit with breeze which has a hint of charcoal to it. It gave me the cozy, being at home, relaxing feeling!<br/>There was live music playing, so, that added to the magic!<br/>The food quantity is more than enough. We ordered 3 starters, 2 chicken and a lamb. But I must say, that quantity was so much that we doubted our decision of having placed the main course order. BTW, we we're 4 people who had been here.<br/>The kababs are fantastic! Smoking hot, straight from the charcoal oven! Also, the wait time is less. I though that they may take a while to prepare the items that we had ordered, but we were able to enjoy them quickly!<br/>For main course, we had ordered a Chicken Curry and a Prawns Curry. I loved the Prawns! They were fresh and huge!! Just freaking awesome! Again, just enough quantity, that we were not able to finish it all off. Needless to say, even though we wanted to try the biryani, we had to pass on that.<br/>We had ordered the Kulcha, and they do ask you the stuffings that you want in it. We ordered a mix of Cheese and Onion.<br/>We ordered Kulfi, and they sort of missed the point here. We had ordered Pista Kulfi, but they got the Malai Kulfi. Also, didn't kill our mood, but, I really wanted to taste the Pista Kulfi.<br/>Another point being, since I've been to other restaurants in Sheraton Grand, they are very attentive to your needs. But, people at Chingari forgot to give us the dessert spoon along with the dessert. So, had to use those large spoons to eat dessert. Again, a minor thing to note, but, again, it does not happen at other Sheraton Grand restaurants. Which is why I give a star less. Otherwise, you guys are awesome!

1. The restaurant is located at the roof top with pleasant live music....<br/><br/>2. Things that disappointed me are as under:-<br/><br/>a) The service was to slow.....and the staff was less then number of guests they were looking after.<br/><br/>b) The dish which we ordered initially was served to us, was too spicy....and then they took extra time to change it as well.<br/><br/>c) The crockery used as well as the candle shades were not up to the mark... having cracks... not to the standard of the Sheraton Hotel we visited in Delhi and Udaipur...<br/><br/>3. However the staff tried to take prompt action but ....a big disappointment...as per our experience I would not recommend anyone this place and rather I will go to the other restaurant such as Feast in the same Hotel.....<br/><br/>

A poolside dinner is always romantic. Is not it 😉. With the right set up, dim light, cold breeze through pool, candle light nothing can go wrong in a dinner date. Recently I made a video on my YouTube channel about the romantic restaurants around Pune. CHINGARI made it to the list. Check out my video, YouTube channel name - Zimi Zutopia India.<br/>About food, if you are someone who doesnt like spicy food like me, this place is a treat. I loved the awadhi Biryani, low in spices yet flavorful. Check the video for more details. Thanks. Well, as I mentioned earlier, lighting was very dim so I could not really take good pictures.

Nice ambience and very good food.very courteous staff.we like the process of making your own Paan 😊😊<br/><br/>Variety of options in starters and main course , we had corn Palak and Lagan paneer in main course and both were very good.

It is a great place for having fun . The enviornment is light and suttle. The food here is fablulous . The crew there is also very serving and the music which keeps on playing in the background is great . It is a success.

A perfect place for romantic dinner in Pune. Want to spend some quality time and discuss gently with your partner then this is the place. They serve nice food too. Servers are nice. Would like to visit again.

Lovely ambience by the pool side and candle light. I went there for dinner and it was nice. Staffs were very courteous and hospitable. Giving 4 star as there can be a little bit improvement in food.

Went with the family here for a occasion and it was good experience to have taste on different kind of food option available with them. <br/>Chefs were available there on stalls to make the dish as per your taste and choice.

I visited Chingari for the famous Kashmiri Food Festival and it was a wonderful experience!<br/>The food was scrumptious and reminded me of the rich Kashmiri flavours.<br/><br/>For starters, I had the Chicken Kante and The Kashmiri seekh Kebab. The chicken Kante was super delicious. In fact even though it is a starter, it can be had with Naan.<br/>The Kashmiri seekh kebab is my all time favourite and one cannot do wrong with this one. It was extremely juicy and flavourful. Highly recommend these starters.<br/>I also has the Paneer Kante- The taste was similar to the Chicken Kante. The paneer was very soft melted in the mouth. Very flavorful and a must have for vegetarians.<br/><br/>For the mains there were a variety of dishes-<br/><br/>Mutton Mirchi Korma<br/>Mutton Kismat Korma<br/>Rogan Josh<br/>Palak Rista<br/>Mutton Gushtaba<br/><br/>I had all these gravies along with Butter Naan and Kulchas. It tasted really good. The gravies were very rich and delicious. It gave a typical Kashmiri flavour. Each dish was unique in its own sense.<br/>My Personal favourite was the Mutton Gushtaba. This gravy was made in Yoghurt and was extremely flavourful.<br/><br/>They also had DIY paan. Like the name suggests you could make your own Paan with your choice of<br/>It was a great experience tasting Kashmiri food.<br/>Naturals has always been my favourite when it comes to ice creams. They always have fresh stock and they never disappoint.<br/>I love their variety of flavours.<br/>All the ice creams are creamy and absolutely delicious.<br/>They keep introducing new flavours and they never fail to impress.<br/>The seating arrangement is good and they also have parking space.<br/>Friendly staff and super quick service.<br/>Loved it!<br/><br/>Chingari is a roof-top restaurant with a good ambience. Overall, great experience.

A great place to enjoy a peaceful evening in Pune. The ambience is not too flashy but still carries elegant touch. The pool side tables with dim light and candles gives this place a romantic look and feel. <br/>Food is great here. The chef takes care of any feedback provided on the fly. <br/>They even have gazal night on Saturdays with live performance. <br/>Overall a quite, calm and relaxing place with elegant touch. <br/>Food - 4.5/5<br/>Ambience - 5/5<br/>Courteous Staff - 5/5<br/><br/>

If you planning for a nice pool side romantic dinner you might consider this place as one of the options.<br/><br/>However be prepared for the exorbitant menu price which is obvious from a 5 star hotel like this.<br/><br/>Hotel is next to railway station and main road so intermittently you will be disturbed by the noise for sure.
Ashutosh Bansod
The roof top's spectacular view is the best I've seen in this town till now. I've visited this place last Saturday with my mom and everything we ordered was up to the mark. We ordered some tikkas and one paneer dish and it was hella delicious. Apart from drinks and food, the staff was also very courteous and polite as well.

It's getting super cold in Pune and all you need is a cup of coffee and a blanket or a hot steaming bowl of soup.<br/><br/>But me as usual spoilt for choices wouldn't go for something regular. Haha... I planned my trip to Kashmir and enjoyed the Kashmiri food there.<br/><br/>Oh wait! I planned my trip to Sheraton Grand's Chingari. The food was so good that I almost forgot that I was in Pune!<br/><br/>Chef Taarique of Chingari is from Srinagar, Kashmir and knows exactly what to serve on a chilly evening. Chef took us through the menu and started serving all the items from the menu. We as usual hogged on to all the non veg stuff but there are few of my favorites which you must try at Chingari's Kashmiri Food Festival.<br/><br/>Here are a few items which I had :<br/>1. Chicken Kante - Chicken Kante is basically your chicken in a tomato based sauce which has lots of onion to it. I quite liked this one as it went really well with the roti/ naan. P.S. It wasn't spicy at all.<br/><br/>2. Tabak Maaz - Oh hello true love! Tabak Maaz is prepared in milk and ginger. The meat is boiled in milk until it's melt in mouth and omg this is such a rich dish that i ended up having 3 to 4 pieces of it. #sorrynotsorry<br/><br/>3. Kashmiri Seekh Kebab - Kashmiri Seekh Kebab is the classic one and everyone's fave. One simply cannot go wrong with this one. It's one of those dishes which never fails to impress and is a safe bet.<br/><br/>Mains<br/><br/>Mutton Mirchi Korma<br/>Mutton Gushtaba<br/>Rogan Josh<br/>Mutton Kismat Korma<br/>Palak Rista<br/><br/>I paired all these gravies with mini butter naans and oh my god! It was amazing. Each gravy stands out beautifully. My favorites among these were the mutton gushtaba, rogan josh and mutton kismat korma. The mutton gustaba comes in a white gravy base which is your yogurt base and it doesn't have pieces of meat but your meatballs. The gravy by itself is so good that you don't need any kind of bread with it. And the rogan josh is a classic fave among all of us. Just go ahead and order it. And then want something spicy? Then go for their mutton kismat korma. It's a red gravy with meatballs in it. Pair it with your naan or roti and you are sorted.<br/><br/>1. Halwa - Their halwa is basically the sheera which we have in Maharashtra. We Maharashtraians often offer this one as a prasad to our gods. It is the exact same thing.<br/><br/>2. Phirni - Their Phirni was the bomb. It was so creamy and rich! It was topped with nuts and kesar. Loved it.<br/><br/>3. DIY Paan - The name says it all. They had given us all the elements of a paan in a huge platter and you can make your own paan as per your liking.<br/><br/>Overall the Kashmiri Food Festival is a huge hit and a must try. Chef Taarique has put in a lot of effort in dishing out items which are close to authentic. His efforts need appreciation and that can be done only when you go and try the food at Chingari's Kashmiri Food Festival.<br/><br/>#jerlynfoodfanatic

We went here for a family dinner and celebrate my brother's birthday. Beautiful ambience! This is a rooftop restaurant and has a amazing City view with a candle light dinner. Perfect for a dinner date. The staff was very friendly and supportive, especially Nandan and Mudra. They greeted us with very sweet smile and too good to serve politely.<br/>Coming to the, we ordered Murg Chandi Kebab, Murg Nawabi Kebab which was good. Achari Macchi Tikka was ok ok.<br/>Murg Awadhi Biryani was awesome. Must try dish. It was very delicious.<br/>Overall a good experience!

My wife and I had gone for our anniversary dinner on a Monday evening. Weekday and hence were easily seated in a poolside table. The ambience is examplary and so is hospitality.<br/>Coming to the food, we ordered a couple of non veg starters which were both fine. But the biryani was the star of the night , totally worth the cost and easily the best I've tasted in Pune thus far. For dessert we ordered half portions ( yes they have half portions options for some) of rasmalai and jamun and both were lip smacking.<br/>And before we could order cheque, we were offered a complimentary anniversary cake , a great gesture.<br/><br/>Will definitely visit soon again.
Ankit Anand
The only thing good about this place is its ambience, food starting from starter to its desert is not upto the mark.<br/>The taste was really flat.<br/>Great disappointment!<br/>

Ambience was fantastic so was the staff... Especially Ms. Mudra who greeted us and took care of us through out our stay. However, bit disappointed with Vegetarian options available...should have been more to eat... Over all good place for romantic dinner at pool side.

The kebabs are tasty! Butter chicken is in a different form called as ‘Makhani Chooza’. It’s a good subtle variant. The Biryani is superb as well. The ambiance is classy and the place is perfect if you want to celebrate the birthday of your loved one along a mini pool. Wonderful friendly service and a great experience overall. Must visit!

One of the best best places we have been, I have booked the place here for my wifey's Birthday , Place is at rooftop and the restaurant is amazingly superb, Ambience is one of the best in City and go along with the food is Superb, I will write this review in two parts one is good and another is little sad part .<br/><br/>GOOD Part : Food was outstanding ,Especially the Biryani we ordered it had the special spice from Afghanistan called "Zaafran" , it was amazing and mind blowing , I still had the taste in mouth. Also, As it was my wife bday they arranged a small cake for her at the end which was very courteous of them.<br/><br/>Another Part : It's being one of the Top most restaurant we expect them to be professional, however even though I have booked in advance there was no table for me but then they said that I need to wait for 10 mins at inner part of restaurant and then they will shift us outside and then The table got vacant and one of the server came and told that our table is ready and you can come but as soon as we were about to get-up ,another server gave other guests the same table and we were like shocked as this was truly unprofessional, they took another 5-10 mins to arrange a table and apologized to us many times but then this kind of impression is lasting and I was really disappointed and furious at that moment.<br/><br/>I would expect to Management if Chingari to take this seriously and be professional, everything else is perfect but then apart from that we had good time and food was great.<br/><br/>Thanks,<br/>Rounak.<br/>

The ambiance is classy and cosy at the same time. The rooftop location is definitely one of the Pune's best. Service was also impeccable. We ordered 3 starters and biryani.<br/><br/>The biryani tasted really good. The only thing which could be improved is their starters. Every dish was a little burned.<br/><br/>Even then I loved the place.
Murtaza Lokhandwala
Kababs were very good. Staff was courteous. Ambience is one of the best in pune. Even they arranged complementary anniversary cake for us. Will surely visit again.

We went for a family dinner to the Sheraton Grand and celebrate my Dad's Birthday. Everything here was top notch starting the beautiful ambience of the Sheraton. Chingari is located on the rooftop and is a great combination of poolside table with candle light dinner. As it is a rooftop restaurant, the overall view of Pune is also really wonderful.<br/><br/>To add to this, the staff was super courteous and service was top notch. On coming to know about the birthday, they arranged a birthday cake on the house for the occasion as well ! The suggestions for starters and main course were excellent. Would like to thank Tushar, Samruddhi, Nandan, Onkar and Pratik for making it a memorable outing!<br/><br/>Coming to the food, we had veg starters,<br/><br/>1) Chenne se Bhare Kumbh – This was basically button mushrooms filled with cottage cheese giving it a unique flavour. Portion sufficient for 4 people. 3.5/5<br/><br/>2) Lal Mirch ka Paneer Tikka – Slightly spicy paneer tikka with good taste. 4/5<br/><br/>After the starters, we had the main course of Makhani Chooza ( Butter Chicken) with an assorted variety of breads. The Butter Chicken was extremely tasty but the portion could have been slightly more. 4.5/5<br/><br/>Lastly, we had the Chicken Biryani which was again extremely well done. It was filling as well. 4.5/5<br/><br/>The overall experience was really memorable and good.<br/><br/>Ambience – 4.5/5<br/><br/>Service – 5/5<br/><br/>Food – 4.5/5<br/><br/>Overall – 5/5

A bad day in office ... perhaps?!<br/><br/>Was in the city for an over-nighter, and my partner said we definitely need to have dinner here. Her fantastic experience a couple of years back was the background to the recommendation. <br/><br/>A cozy roof top, seated next to a moderately sized plunge pool, polite service staff, candle lights and we thought - nice ...<br/><br/>We ordered 4 things - the murgh tikka kebab similarity, the galaouti kebab, murgh awadhi biryani and the kulfi. They have half plates for the tikka and the biryani, which is great!<br/><br/>The galaouti was exceptional - soft, subtle and aromatic. Wish they had placed them on sheermal. <br/><br/>The murgh tikka thing - insipid, manageable - wish it was more flavorful. I guess it was too subtle for my palate. <br/><br/>The biryani was .... We did not go beyond a few spoons. We hate to waste food, but this was just not acceptable. <br/><br/>Some recovery done with the kulfi - in nice interesting dinnerware. <br/><br/>Alas!!

First the bad part - there were 3 eligible food items for zomato gold discount on food but the restaurant gave the discount on the cheapest item (rice). Didnt like the starter, so they changed it but although it tasted better, chicken wasn't tender- not worth the price.<br/>Th Good part- the main course chicken was delicious. The staff was very good and courteous. One of the staff members offered to take care of our infant for some time. Was my wife's birthday, so they even brought a small cake at the end .<br/><br/>All in all, we had a good time but it could have been better.

The best service I have experienced so far.The staff is really warm and welcoming and really very sweet. The food is also scrumptious if you crave for Indian and Mughlai cuisine. Try the lichi ki rabdi which is too good to be true ❤️ Loved the poolside place. A special thanks to omkar for conducting our evening really a memorable one.

Great experience having dinner at Chingari a few days ago. The food was above average, while the service was simply the best I've experienced at a restaurant in Pune. The staff will go out of their way, way out of their way, to make you have the best dining experience. Special mention to tushar, and the manager, Mithilesh. The sight of him bringing my tandoori roti to me at top speed so i would get it as hot as possible... so touching. <br/><br/>And they did everything to make us comfortable, including turning down, then up, then down the lights, the music, everything. (we are fussy folks). <br/><br/>But very nice service indeed, and the food, well.. mixed bag here because while the galouti kebabs were very nice, the seekh kebabs were dry and a bit too spicy, and their signature dish (sabudana filled with dal?) was so - so .. i'd rather have tried some tender chicken.. anyway, the mains were great, dal makhani was awesome, and so was the mutton curry whose name I forgot but was in brown gravy and very very tender mutton indeed it was.<br/><br/>So while this place isn't really 'value for money', its not really as expensive as you might think. four of us had food and no drinks, and we had a 4.2k bill. not too bad given the ambiance and service.
Akash Choudhary
Very good food!! The service is good. Pool side ambiance is also good. Thanks for the complimentary cake for birthday celebration. Had a great time. Perfect place to celebrate any occasion.

Rooftop restaurants are always special and give an amazing experience. Visited this place yesterday night with friends. Ordered two chicken kebabs, tandoori chicken tikka and kastori kebab. Was little disappointed with kastori kebab and they replaced it with reshmi kebab. Really very nice service and gesture. Biryani was really fine and tasty. Amazing atmosphere and delightful service. A small complementary gift was given by them as token of love. Which added positivity to the overall experience. Would like to visit again definitely.

They even arranged for a surprise of delicious chocolate cake as it was my wife's birthday.<br/>Talking about ambience, it was ok, can be made more interesting. Overall the restaurant is worth money. A good one for special occasions and celebrations.

The food here is as good as it gets. Every dish was better than the previous one. Cant recommend a single dish, everything was spot on. The highlight however was the service. The staff really elevate the dining experience by a notch! Would definitely return

Choose this place for my wife’s birthday dinner and it was all worth it. To start with, the staff and the hospitality was super awesome. Purna, Jitendra, Pranit and Ketki, they treated us so well. A complimentary pastry was specially arranged for the birthday celebration.<br/><br/>The weather was very good and they themselves arranged our table by the poolside. <br/><br/>In the food, we ordered one non veg starter, mahi sarson in main course and murg awadhi biryani. Each and every dish was so so tasty. <br/><br/>The ambience was very romantic and soothing. Overall a 5 star in all the areas.
Archit Bhatti
This place always strikes the nostalgic side of me every since I've been coming here for the past 10 years and my parents have been dining here since the 90's. The rooftop and poolside ambience is very rustic, elegant and perfect for a restaurant that specializes in Indian cuisine.<br/>Must try the Biryani and Butter Chicken which is usually staple to our diet :-)
Rahul Khandave

When you pay extra to expect something extra and thats what you get over here. The customer service that I received was top notch. Good gestures (cake and a gift) on our anniversary dinner. I went home happy.
Kimaya
A perfect serene, calm and delicious dinner place.. Chingari serves the most authentic mughlai / avadhi cuisine. The food never disappoints. <br/>The galouti kebab is the best we've had in pune till date. Soft, just melts in the mouth. I could keep eating it for every meal ;-)<br/>The murgh saagwAlla was delicious too and went perfectly with garlic naan.<br/>Serving and ambience is even better. <br/>Try it!
Chef Jai Sharma
Chingari<br/>This place is located in Sheraton Grand terrace. Beautiful ambiance, poolside candle light tables. It’s fine dining restaurant served with only Indian food.<br/>We had Veg kabab Platter, Lagan ka Paneer, Tandoori Roti, Whole wheat naan, Biryani, Dal Chingari, Dal khichadi, Vergin mohito. <br/>Food was not upto the mark. Very less portions of dishes. Food service was too late.<br/>Very polite and cooperative staff. Onkar and one of the manager were very cooperative.
Prasad
If you are a fish eater, this place is surely not for you. There ain't many options. Other food is decent. Nothing great about it. Not a must-try kinda food. Ambience is very nice. Very romantic place indeed.<br/><br/>Food 3/5<br/>Ambience 5/5<br/>Service 3.5/5<br/>Value for money 3/5
Renu Agarwal
I would like to keep this review as crisp-<br/>Ambience - perfect for a date. Kids may get bored 😉<br/>Service - excellent<br/>Food - Decent.<br/><br/>What I liked the most is that they offer half portions portions of few items, which is quite pocket friendly for 2 people and avoids wastage too.<br/>
Akshara Garg
5* to the food and to the Master Chef as well! <br/>Never visited to this place?, Then please visit. <br/>Best place to bring your loved one, Rooftop, Fountain, Food😘<br/>

We had heard a lot about this place so i decided to go there to celebrate my fifth wedding anniversary. <br/><br/>PROS-<br/>1. Nice poolside ambience with candle lit tables & soft background music<br/>2. Half portions of some dishes available : a pleasant surprise<br/>3. Good food especially all tandoor starters<br/> 4. Less crowded: even being a weekend we could easily get a table <br/> <br/>CONS<br/>1. Less options of food for vegetarians<br/>2. Inspite of being less crowded service was slow<br/>3. To my horror the bar-tender was using his bare hands to add ice to cocktails/beverages for each order!! <br/>4. Finally the worst for the last- its known that bartenders taste the cocktail drinks before serving. However in this case the drink was tasted by 2 waiters as well! The final guy literally drank a sip from the glass few seconds before going to the guests’ table and served the drink in that soiled glass! I was shell-shocked to see such things occurring in a 5-star restaurant. <br/><br/>We lodged a complaint with the manager but looking at his body language i didn’t feel he would take any punitive action.<br/><br/>So in summary- nice place for non-vegetarians to spend a relaxed evening but i would urge everyone to personally oversee the preparation of your beverages.
Niwrati Patil
One of the famous 5* restaurants in the city. Nice and elegant rooftop ambiance, food & service is excellent. Galouti Cabab & Fish Amritsari, Dal Makhni are Must try. Drinks are expensive but after its 5* so consider this before going.

If u are willing to pay good money for a beautiful evening with your loved one, then Sheraton is not the place you are looking for.<br/><br/>Food, service, ambiance, menu is not up to the mark. It was lacking vibes of a brand.
Sayali Ashtekar
Very good food!! Loved their signature dal makhani. Very good service, and awesome ambience just to be with your loved one. The soothing sound of water makes the dinner special and gives a soothing experience of having dinner!! 😊 and my a time favourite awaited stage of dinner that is desert; Phirni is just what u want after finishing your good dinner!!! <br/><br/>Keep it up!!

As It is one of the best restaurants in the town and now also in India, I visited chingari with my friends. The open air poolside restaurant was the perfect place for my birthday celebration. But the Indian elements- Indian instrumental music, India style seating and obviously the live tandoor were the compliment to the restaurant. Initially I was having doubts about food and it's taste though I read all the reviews. But the first bite of the kassori chicken kabab opened all my taste buds and all the doubts got cleared and I got pretty sure the rest of the meal would be also fantastic. Palak paneer tikka, baigan bharta, tandoori roti, cosmopolitan, baileys, margarita were the perfect food and beverages for the evening. And the grand finale was... Surprise.. What.. Chocolate flavored birthday cake placed by our server of the evening Ankita. <br/><br/>She was looking after our table with amazing service. The food and beverage service was beyond expectations. Even the staff was so polite and humble. I'm so thankful to chingari team to provide amazing dining experience to us. I would like to visit again and readers must visit this place and wow to your special ones, friends, family or your corporate guests
Niraj Desai
Visited this place for celebrating a special day. It didn't feel like a fine dine experience. <br/>Ambience and sitting was just about okay, the positive is its a rooftop sitting by the pool.<br/>Food was not upto mark, on my previous visits to any fine dine I have seen the server suggesting dishes after asking our preference but that was not the case here.<br/><br/>So overall an okay experience.<br/><br/>Bottom line : Would not visit again if given a chance
Romina.nahata
Superb staff, service and very good food! The palak raita was fantastic and so was the baingan bharta.they were cooperative enough to get us ahwaini roti on request even though it wasn’t a part of the menu! Highly recommended
NT (not Ramarao)
Very good ambience, set on the terrace sitting next to the pool enjoyed a good serving of Burra Kabab and chicken tikka (staple) with garlic naan. Excellent service from Pratum, very prompt and well spoken.
Harsh Poddar
The service is amazing. The girl named Ankita knows what she doing and takes great care. It wasn't the best food I've had but definitely the best in pune.
Sagar Palkar
Celebrated 1st Marriage Anniversary here.<br/>Whole experience was Great. Every thing was perfect. Hospitality is very good. A Poolside table which was perfect for anniversary celebration. I requested for Prawns Biryani which was out of Menu and Chef was ready to serve us. Prawns Biryani was Great on Taste.
Ankur
Poolside, looks great at night...Food is not great as the ambience. Go for the ambience, service...don't expect much from food...thanks.....

Chingari offers authentic mughlai nawabi cuisine.<br/>A beautiful ambience and warm staff greeted us. Soft music played made the atmosphere serene on the rooftop. Beautiful classy artifacts. <br/><br/>Food:<br/>Barrah Kabab is to die for! Galouti Kabab is very well prepared by the chef. Has the right consistency and melts in the mouth.<br/><br/>Breads - Naans and parathas, so soft, buttery and delicious. I was eating them plain.<br/><br/>Main course and gravies - I must add here, veg and non veg were equally delectable. Not very spicy or oily.<br/>The Biryani is to another level!  The rice smells so tempting, however it could be improvised a little more to reach the hyderabadi biryani level of tastiness.<br/><br/>SUPERB DINNING EXPERIENCE! Special thanks to the servers and the chef!

Rooftop, cool breeze, rain played the spoilsport but the food was awesome. We had some visitors from the UK and US and they wanted to come here again in their next visit. Good staff and tgey value the guests. Food: top notch.
Aniket Madkaikar
We are been here with friends. The staff especially Jitendra having so much of attitude. Spending so much of money it was not at all worth. Hope being a number one brand in hospitality Marriott and Starwood will take a necessary action against Jitendra

Had dinner at Chingari yesterday. Ambience is good; quiet and romantic by the poolside. Food quality is good however a few recipes like biryani are not as one might expect. Tandoori broccoli was very good. Service is polite and attentive.
Dr. Roshnii
I have visited this beautiful poolside rooftop restaurant quite a few times. The food has always been great along with ambience. Even better on special occassions like valentine's day.<br/>Special mention : Galouti kebab and fish amritsari are the best i have had in pune till date.<br/>Their hospitality is also amazing since i have stayed with them previously.
Dr.Gaurav Batra
One of the best rooftop places in pune, it is ideal for a perfect dinner with your loved one. Their superb hospitality, cordial staff, prompt service and delicious food sums it all up😊
Reeti Srivastava
We liked the food served there, not overtly spicy just the right kind of spices, fresh and hot.<br/>Although I must mention that the Manchow soup could have been better.<br/>Overall spent a lovely evening and had a good experience.<br/>The staff courteous and polite.

Highly overrated place in pune. Food is aweful. Except cocktails there is nothing much to say. Cocktails are really good and food is equally worst. Not going back again. May for breakfast in lobby resturant nd screams fr disc. Chingari a big NO. We tried five six things but really there was not even one dish which i cud suggest.. we ordered starter<br/>s were way below expectation and when we ordered maincourse night just went worst from bad. We did not finish the dinner nd left the place with not comming backJyoti Mahapatra

Located on the rooftop of grand sheraton, this place offers a very pleasant experience amidst the fountain and light breeze. Food is on the expensive side, as expected, with portion sizes strictly for 2 people. Staff is courteous.
Rugved
Limited menu items. We asked for soup but apparently they don't serve any. For mains they just served mix vegetables with tomato puree which was as tasteless as their paneer tikka masala. Hardly any customers (no surprise there). The only good thing was their starters and ambience.

Rooftop....Cool Breeze....View of the City... Table beside the pool... Heavy Rain... Tandoori Chulhassss... What more u need to have a perfect dinner..<br/><br/>Chingari belongs to great Sheraton Hotels and Resorts.. Gives a awesome welcome and superb hospitality.<br/><br/>I had booked my seat earlier as it was a Weekend and I thought might be much crowd. I reached the place by 7:30, had an nice welcome and was given the table just near to the pool as per my booking.. With the sudden awakened climate, we were forced to go inside the huts shaped areas by the heavy rainfall.. I along my friends enjoyed a lot as it was must to beat the heat of the City... <br/><br/>Many people left the place, but we continued with our dinner as the appetite was loud and killing :P<br/><br/>Chingari as the name tells us -- Burning Particle.. place is famous for Kababs and Mughlais.. So obviously we went for the Kababs - Chicken and Lamb.. Then as the rain slowed down , we started with the main course.. Chicken Awadhi Biryani , Butter Chicken and Butter Naan... <br/><br/>Food was yuuummmyyyyy and awwwwwesssoommmee .. Loved it :)<br/><br/>Service and Ambiance is superb.. Chingari as the name suggests sparks awesomeness on visit. We went there to celebrate a special occasion and it turned out to be really fantastic. The ambience is absolutely amazing with poolsode view, candle light and flowers on table and a team of not less than 4 staff attending us ( we were 4 adult and 1 child). The staff were very cordial and service was prompt. Coming to food, we had noormalai tikka, kastoori and peshwari kebab. Very tender meat, right flavors and good portion size. For main course we ordered awadhi biryani, daal chingari, murg khaas haandi and tandoori roti. Daal was awesome! Chicken dish was good too. Overall a great experience to be remembered! Yes its a premium amd expensive place, but special occasions would truly tirn put special!

SURAJ J R
Nice Ambiance but bland food. We tried Pudina paneer, moong dal tikki and tava jki sabzi. Moong dal tikki was good but other 2 were horrible. Not worth the price, specially if you are vegetarian. The bill for 2 people (+1 four year old kid)was around 4k. If you are looking for good tasty food skip this.
Rahul Fernandes
Pretty ironic that the worst part of a restaurant named Chingari is that it allows people to smoke. That too in a five-star property like Sheraton, which seems to favour foreign-looking guests.
TANMAY KOCHE
The view and the ambience is very good but the food taste is just above average .... I tried their murg biryani ... it was nothing good... i dont know about other dishes but dont try biryani<br/>
Purna Sarmah
Great experience for us. Staff are very helpful, food and service was really memorable. Best ambiance with pool side dinner.Moongdal tikki very tasty. we will back at Chingari with my other friends.
Rakesh Kotnala
There was live counter for kebab and we placed the order for tandoori kukkad, moong dal ki tikki and it was too good. After kebab we had dal chingari and Broomall roti that was also nice. Service and ambience is excellent.
Anish Kochitty
Amazing mix and match of flavours in the menu. The ambience is superb and relaxing. Also the service provided was also up to the mark. Had a great experience at Chingari.
Nikhil Musale
First I would like to introduced about ambience of the restaurant _ located at rooftop near by the poolside and there are natural plant around the restaurant, colorfully lights make very special of this place.<br/>Food_ whatever we had that was very nice.<br/>Service _ there is no word, we can say great.<br/>Overall very nice experience.

There are few things at this pace make different from any others restaurant like food is totally authentic and well cooked, service is best and ambiance is so romantic in evening.
Nikhil Wadavrao
Kebab and well tender and Main course was delicious . Once we entered at Loby and we asked where is Chingari with one of the lady, she scoted to rooftop at restaurant and restaurant staff are so passionate about his perfection.<br/>Ambience is so nice.
Hency Croney
We had very delicious food and that credit goes to the staff because we can't have spicy food and we were thinking what we will have so staff recognised food for us and that was really good.
Sathyan Mani
Its really beautiful atmosphere created by this management. Food quality is awesome and services are best. We would strongly recognized this restaurant for special occasion.
Pema Yangchen
We went to this place for dinner and there waiting going for poolside table and we did wait for few minutes and we goted the table. We enjoyed with food and services.
Karan Dudhane
Nothing is good about this place.. The rotis were very thick and half cooked.. I asked them to change still the quality was degraded.. Ambience could be better. the pool can look better with some light effects or something.. The waiter gave us very wrong information on the food and its quantity.. I am personally a fan of Sheraton Grand and if they have to maintain their standard, this restaurant should be closed and changed or should be renovated completely.. I would prefer Pasha over this anytime.. Sorry for negative comments but i was expecting more from sheraton!!
Ajay Pratap Singh
Oh Boy.. This Place was Mind Blowing .A Near Perfect Place to Enjoy with your Friends and Families. I have this fondness for Rooftop places and this is an Awesome Open Dine Place. Be it the Ambience , Service or food .Nothing to complain for. Both our Veggie Lovers and Non Veggies were satisfied with the taste and the Quality of Food. Sagar Laddha
Good food and great service. Ambience is very good. The place is generally quiet. There is cool breeze blowing around that adds to experience. The service deserves a special mention. We had ordered some paneer starter which was a little bland. When the waiter came to check if we were enjoying the taste, we casually told him that the starter is bit bland. He asked us if he should get us something else in paneer. Even after saying no, he actually got something spicier made for us and brought it. We were impressed with this. Thanks for the gesture.
SAHIL KHAN
One of old favourite rooftop restaurant of mine....now meridian converted in shareton grand hotel.<br/>But staff and Management are the same. Same good food quality, tradition cloths of servers feels amazing. <br/>Best service again. Thanks. We enjoyed alot....

Try for a romantic evening.<br/>Food- 4/5<br/>Ambience- 4/5<br/>Not at all Pocket Friendly :(<br/>Service is really good
Vikramaditya
The ambience is excellent and staff attentive even if they don't smile.  We had appetizers which were very nice. But the dessert (kulfi) was simply terrible. Also, the restaurant is way over priced.  With just two starters (one veg, non nonveg, and three beers we broke INR 5000).
Paregh
Had been there for office event ..This was my First visit since it is changed to Sherston ..The food was really superb specially Chicken Shawarma & Tiramisu!!The ambience was very Good

The ambience of this restaurant is really nice and cosy! The poolside just adds to the decor. The food is par excellence! The dal makhni here is one of the best I've tried in pune, the paneer tikka is soft and well spiced, the tandoori kukkad is amazing too. The phirni is a must try and the huge chunks of kulfi are packed with the traditional flavour that makes it an absolute winner.

Beautiful cityscape overlooking the roof top restaurant, pool side seating area with soothing music and candle light. It is the perfect combination to be explored by couples on a date. Chingari is Le Meridian's Indian specifically restaurant and lives up to its name. Food is good especially their biryanis. Almost every food on the menu is lip smacking. Service is a bit slow and this is the only downer here. Though quite expensive can be worth a visit for that special date.
Anmol Bengle
We went to chingari restaurant and it was raining by the poolside but there was one area it was covered so we got the table in side of this area. We had kebab, biriyani and phirni that all meal was delicious and service was excellent. We enjoyed every prospect of this restaurant.

We were thinking where will go for friends party and finally we went to Chingari Le Meredien Pune.<br/>Restaurant is located at rooftop by poolside and there was natural garden that i have not seen anywhere at rooftop so we can say this is most natural beautiful restaurant in the city.<br/>The associate are very welcoming and they suggest you through by the menu very thoroughly and politly.<br/>We placed the order of kebab and Biryani and it was like one of the best food forever then finally we had kulfi that was amazing. It was wonderful experience altogether.

We would not talk the quality and test of food itself every dish was we'll prepared, well marinated, well done and delicious. We will talk about their ingredients, the additional add on the flavour which is presented on the table in right temperature with international collections of famous wine selection are awesome. Most attention on the table by all the members of this restaurant.
Dany Symond

We have been in this place with our family. We had kebab and biryani that so too good even service was excellent.<br/>Location of this restaurant at rooftop as decor like romantic place. It was our best time with Chingari
Akshay Thakar
I've visited the hotel in last week. Hotel service has a great quality, both because of its comfortable and appropriate facilities. Food is very delicious. Must visited restaurant in pune. :)
Joy Chatterjee
Ambience is the only point where Chingari scores with distinction.<br/>All other aspects disappoint.<br/>Where is the value for money? An over hyped place with taste, authenticity, service  less than expectations.<br/>They have to do a re think about this sooner or later. And the sooner the better.<br/>Else, as we see it, not many would return for a second visit to this cosy eating place.
Anupam
Beautiful roof top restaurant with nice poolside tables with gentle breeze and trains getting 'horny' (yeah, train station is just opposite of this hotel and the train whistles more often making it difficult for the waiters here to hear what you just said!<br/><br/>Was expecting a top quality food here, but was little disappointed with the chicken starters they served. Chicken looked stale although the preparation was good. The mushroom dish which the captain suggested was nice. The quantity was good enough for 2-3 people.<br/><br/>Seeing the quality of chicken in starters, we decided to order veg in main course. Veg food was good, but no-so-great as you would expect from a 5-star hotel like this!<br/><br/>Service was very much above expectation. Captain made sure our order came on time and was hot enough to be served. Was very polite also.<br/><br/>Ambiance - 4.5/5<br/>Service - 4.5/5<br/>Food - 3/5

Vert Nice place to enjoy a good North indian food. I'll comeback with clients. Service was very good too and roof top restaurant are always enjoyable if this season.

Please visit Le Meridian for their Tiramisu - you have to try it!! - and what an ambience :) :) . I usually visit this place with my husband and we always have a wonderful time. This is simply because the place is so calm and quiet, the view is nice from the rooftop and the food is amazing!
Ashwani Malik
This is one of the best tantalising indian restaurant at Pune city. We had dinner in this restaurant and we asked for the kebab with one of the staff, he suggest me nawabi kebab n moong dal tikki that was realy delicious and we had gosht dum biryani also that was too good. <br/>All staff were very attentive and helpful and excellent service was given by them. <br/>Restaurant is located at rooftop infront of swimming pool with natural ambience that makes great experience. <br/>Definitely we would love to come again@.

Totally Mesmerized with the beauty of this place. Couldn't stop the urge to write a review. The first King style feeling is when u enter the great Golden Door. The moment u step in, I bet u won't be able to stop ur eyes stealing glances at every corner of the Room. I didn't like the taste of food. But if u wanna go for a romantic date, you surely must visit this place. Rooftop and Pool side, gives u a calm feeling of which u can make the best use.

USP: lamb preparations are lip smacking. Frankly, chingaari is amongst the very few places where I have really fell in love with lamb preparations, keeping aside home cooked dry minced lamb. The meat very tender (well marinated); it melts in your tongue. Add to it, the Nawabi spices and flavours, will make you crave for more. I would strongly recommend this place for the kebabs, non veg platter and the biryani. Superb!!<br/>Ambience: very romantic, pool side, classical music in the background and perfectly lit for a nice couple dinner. The one thing that probably can be improved is to do away with the tacky "Diwali" style lighting on the pot plants.<br/>Service: very prompt and staff is very courteous.<br/>
Kiran Puranik
Food is average. Quantity is very less compared to cost. Ambiance is good .People seems to be so formal keep on disturbing while eating....
Pradnya Gosavi-Raste
Romantic place for couples. On the top floor of hotel and with good food indeed. Being in 5 star hotel, costly... However worth if u are on date or planning for a good time with your beloved
Asad Abbasi
Have been here couple of times..... however what attracts me here is the ambience..... rooftop, peaceful, serene, open air.....<br/>You can have a nice peaceful dinner here<br/>The staff definitely is well trained  and definitely groomed and professional.....<br/>Food - not sure i guess its just me the taste at most of the 5 star hotels does not impress me a lot specially when you order Indian food..... however my clients and my parents both enjoy visiting this place........Starters- moong dal tikki... chicken tikka ..... murg gilafi...... Mains- murg masala and dal chingari, desserts- Phirni (options very limited) ...... just listing the best ones in the menu.....
Pratik Hande
Perhaps the most mediocre restaurant across all the Lé Meridiens that I have been to!!<br/><br/>One can never go wrong with food at the Lé Meridien but Chingari doesn't live up to lé standards at all. Decent food taste but didn't match my expectations of a five star restaurant.
Pinaki Ghosh
Great roof top atmosphere. Food at par with other 5 star hotels. Does not stand out. Good service. Overall recommended for a nice moonlit evening.
Anuj Bhatnagar
Our family went here on a recommendation. Honestly, I came back with mixed feelings. While I simply loved the rooftop ambience, nice n quiet, the pleasant weather made it a good evening to sit in the open. The service we got from the staff was good.<br/><br/>Coming to the food .... This is where the mixed feelings come in. We went purely by the restaurant manager's recommendations. The Moong Dal pattice (vegetarian) was very good and this is coming from a pure non-vegetarian 😉<br/><br/>In the non-vegetarian starters, we had a chicken kebab which was good (ideal for kids n people who don't relish spice). The mutton giloti kebab, which I called with huge hopes, wasn't even near to what I had imagined. I would've expected a place as this to get it spot-on.<br/><br/>In the mains, we had just the mutton dish which was good. The meat very tender, which is always a delight.<br/><br/>For dessert, we loved the Tiramisu and I will surely go back here, for the tiramisu if nothing else.<br/><br/>Overall, the prices here across the menu aren't exorbitant, which is a pleasant surprise. The alcohol too is very well priced, including the cocktails.<br/><br/>I am tempted to give this restaurant another shot, which'll decide whether I keep visiting or stop 😃
Adoni Gururaja Rao
I had been to this place few times long back while I was working in Pune mostly for corporate dinners.<br/><br/>Mostly it used to be in open and the ambience is good since it is difficult to find an open air restaurant.<br/><br/>As this is five star I cannot expect the taste to match my taste buds. The taste is more continental and the food is good to eat with some change to your taste buds to feel.
Aaves Shaikh
I celebrated my wife's 1st birthday at this restaurant and let me tell you it was AMAZING.......We ordered some nice Mughlai Dishes like Choosa Makhni and Murg Tandoor. It was a fantastic evening with the staff being very decent and supportive. The view is like a cherry on the cake which would surely light up romantic dinners with your loved ones. Try it surely

I really don't know why most of the 5 star properties fail to impress me with their food. Like everything else gets a full mark, but the main thing, that is the food, just did average here as well. Went there definitely quite excited, but returned with mixed feelings. To begin with, some of the things that were a total miss - the Virgin Mojito (was just water and mint thrown into a glass with some lemon slices, the sugar crystals were visible at the bottom and overall the drink was not at all worth!). Then the mocktail named Passion Pact with passion fruit juice and triple sec, tasted bitter as hell! Amongst the things that were a hit - the non-veg kababs minus the lamb one which was almost raw. And the Aloo Tikki, which was actully the high-point in the entire meal. It was really unique and yum! Other things, liked the Lachcha Paratha and Dal Chingari. Had high hopes from the Nalli Gosht, but in vain! Rest, just about very ordinary. *might just give it a miss the next time*

Le Meridien has been a personal favorite since the last 15 plus years for me. I have always enjoyed the ambience and the rich feel of the hotel with the tastefully done up restaurants and bars. I have been to Chingari a few times and have always walked away feeling more than satisfied with the food that they serve. The kababs, biryani, dal makhni (I can't remember what they call it), desserts are all worth a mention. The ambience is simple yet gives a classy and exotic feel. No doubt that is an expensive restaurant but I am not sure if cost really becomes a factor when you walk in to a restaurant at a five star hotel. Even though there are so many new restaurants and hotels in Pune, I will be more than happy to visit the Chingari yet another time.
Kalpana Gupta
Been there on my birthday. Its a rooftop restaurant. Beautiful ambience with poolside sitting. But I didn't like the food here. Being a top class restaurant we had a huge expectation with the food menu and taste. Very less no. of food options and also taste was not so great in comparison of the price.
Priyanka Foodie (Madpunefoodie)
Always wanted to visit this place and went there for a conference party last weekend. As it was a conference party they had arranged Buffet for us.Must say they had arranged it very well.Lets start with the starters.. We had Fish fingers, Chicken tikka, paneer chilly, hara bhara kebab.. They very yummy and were served hot every time. Drinks were also served with all the variety. Mocktails, cocktails, soft drinks and beer. For the main course they had live counters of pasta and was prepared well with white sauce and red sauce with lots of herbs.Soups were good and the chana chat was also yummy. What I loved was Goan Fish curry where fish was very fresh and rest of the veg main course were also good. For deserts they had limited things like jalebi, rabdi, tiramisu and vanilla ince cream with chocolate sauce and red berry sauce.Over all a good experience.
Vijayendra
A popular song from a Rajesh Khanna film goes, "Chingari koi bhadke". My version would say "Chingari koi band kar de!". It's super bad...if that's an understatement. <br/>Ambience: Surely Zomato can do the honors by kicking Chingari out from the Romantic Places category. Restore some faith of all those people who have categorically given 1 star (for the lack of no stars or negative rating). Oh please, there is not an iota of romanticism in this godforsaken rooftop place with the Pune Station trains hooting every now and then. That should NOT be anybody's idea of a romantic dinner. Chingari is nothing but a glorified bar with shades of a dhaba or tabbela for that matter that is full of lazy firangis, and their Indian chamchas, who do not who want to venture out of the hotel. <br/>Food: Sharavn is a depressing month. No seriously. And the veg food at Chingari even more so. We ordered Paneer Tikka and Seekh Kebab of Palak. In the mains, we ordered butter rotis, Paneer and some Mushroom. Except the Paneer Tikka, which was not all that great, all items were so very below the mark of what you come to expect from a brand like Le Meridian that I couldn't believe it. Everything tasted like it was some roadside dhaba. Even they can surprise you with a few items but not this worthless place. The rotis were so small that they could safely be called phulkis (not phulkas). Any more smaller, and I'd had had to use a microscope. The butter was almost non-existent whereas the last few rotis had none at all. But they promptly billed all rotis as butter rotis! <br/>Service: Straight out of college, greenhorns were running helter skelter and looking super busy. The service is slow that you can ask them to wake you up after a long nap when the food arrives. Lastly, they told me the card swiping machine wasn't working and you have go down to swipe it. Wow. Terrific service. <br/>Overall: What overall? There's nothing to summarize this maha ordinary place. Shut it down for good or rent it out for kite flying when the festival comes. DO NOT VISIT IT EVEN IF FREE FOOD IS OFFERED.
Sagar
This was one place on our go to list and finally v made it on Friday dinner and v enjoyed the place thoroughly the classy ambience v had a table right next to the pool . Polite staff prompt service and so is the food ! The only thing which slightly disappointed us was their Awadhi much biryani !
Ameet D
Hyped up. They have to extend their menu. Not worth the money you spent, especially when you compare other fine dine restaurants in its category.
Arindam Roy
Lovely food with amazing and mouthwatering Kebabs. Ambient is very Indian and very relaxed. I love the services they provide. Must visit with your family.

Seated on top of one of the most beautiful hotels in town, Chingari doesnt fail to impress.<br/><br/>I had been there with my family for dinner. The place is pretty safe from rains unless probably you get a really wild storm, but even then, they have covered the pathways. The restaurant has an antique or a coastal feel with ropes tied to the drapes, sloping roof, wooden tables and chairs, brass glasses and bowls. <br/>The ambience is dim reddish with each table having a candle/lamp. <br/><br/>The staff is prompt and courteous. I could not find the logic behind the staff dressed in kurtas but the head-servers in formals. There was traditional music playing in the background.<br/><br/> We were seated immediately. It didnt take long to finalize what we were going to eat. We ordered for adraki chicken kebab and mutton tandoori kebab. We were served with rolls of papad and onion before that. What was impressive though was the taste of green chutney they had served. We were munching on the papad when the kebabs were ready; hot and piping, served with onions. The chicken kebab had a flavour of spices mixed with ghee, excellent taste but could have done with more of seasoning. The mutton kebab was flawless except for 1 piece and a few onions which were unevely cooked and had a slightly burnt flavour. The proportions were generous with 8-9 decently sized chunks of meat on each plate. I would definitely recommend mutton tandoori kebab.<br/><br/>We decided to go for biryani then. We ordered a full portion of Chef's special gosht biryani and half portion of veg tarkari biryani. And pleasantly surprisingly, again, the portions were not small. The mutton biryani was served in a pot. When the server opened the cover, the flavour of the biryani made me salivate so bad I felt like just grabbing the biryani from his hands. The pieces were tender and well done. It was easy to remove the meat from the bones. Biryani also had a few whole chillies which gave it a nice spicy flavour.<br/><br/>The plates were cleared immediately. The check was handed over and cleared in time. And ofcourse, we were told to visit again.<br/><br/>An excellent place to enjoy. You can visit with family, friends or maybe even think of a romantic candle light dinner. The rates ofcourse are not pocket friendly. But the ambience, service, quality and quantity of food and the staff totally make it worth every penny you have spent.<br/><br/>Cheers.
Akash
This is a good restaurant which serves North Indian cuisine. Food is good, ambience also good. Will try again. went with family for dinner.
Ashutosh1011
Couldn't have asked for anything better than this restaurant for our anniversary. The staff is so polite and humble. We were attended by Mr. Avijeet who guided us perfectly for ordering the food and drinks. Ambience is just mesmerizing since it's a terrace and poolside restaurant. Food is much more than awesome and yet very affordable compared to other hyped restaurants. The best part was the chocolate cake they offered us as compliments for our anniversary. Thank you Chingari for making our anniversary memorable.
Prasad Manohar
I visited this place in April/2015 with my wife. I had a great experience. I really liked their service, esp the kind of attention we received. It takes some time to get the food but we were not bored. I loved the ambience and the overall set up. The food was good.
Nupur Sharma
Classy !! It offers pool side + rooftop sitting , good option for dinner when you want elite crowd around you . Food quality and hospitality matching to 5 star standard .
Komal Dwivedi
Really romantic ambiance...you can enjoy the eve with your sweetheart with some really good delicacies. Worth spending some of both money as well as time.
Gaurav Shukla
The experience was average. The food tasted bland. From reading previous reviews ordered Daal Chingari, but it was normal black daal which u can get at any restaurant for the same taste.Apart from it mutton tikka and Paneer tikka were too bland in taste. So overall experience was Average.
Pranav Dangat
A 2 pointer just for the hospitality that was shown by the hosts. The food quality and the taste was pathetic. The Captain suggested to try the Biryani but it nowhere tasted like Biryani. Main Course dishes were based only out of Tomato Puree. A total disappointment for a family dinner.
@globalfooddiaries
The place is just too good for a perfect romantic outing. The place is located on the rooftop with tables laid near the poolside and hence making it a perfect date. The food and the hospitality clubbed with the ambience make it impeccable. Loved the place... Must try their dal makhani (a specialty dish on their menu called something else but similar to the mentioned)... All in all it was a great experience.
Nidhish Raj
Great ambience. Friendly and prompt service. Starters are delicious. The daal definitely makes an impression. Worth a special mention. Lamb is just yummm.
Ann James
Am awesome place if your looking for a quiet dinner. It's peaceful and cool even in the summer. The tables are placed along side the small pool. Food options are limited although. The portions of the starters are a lot and main course is small. Taste wise the food was good. The service is good and prompt. I will go back just for the ambience.

It was sunday... I took my fiancee for a date and what better place could it be than a rooftop poolside restraunt...!!!<br/>We entered chingari with some happy faces...<br/>The ambience out there made the smile bigger...<br/>We ordered a starter ( Paneer Pudina Tikka) and were happily waitng for it to be served....<br/>And then it finally came... and there I took the first bite and trust me it was PATHETIC....<br/>No salt, No spice jus chunks of cottage cheese dipped in mint sauce....!!!<br/>I looked at my fiancee and she had the same feeling... pathetic...<br/>The words which we said were "a dhaba wud have been a better choice"<br/>We paid 750 (620 +130 taxes) for one tasteless starter and came back... we couldnt even dare to order anything else...<br/>I left the restraunt cursing myself on my decison to go there...<br/>In short, it was waste of money, waste of time...<br/>Please improve your food quality... people just dont come there to enjoy the ambience...<br/>They mainly come there to eat...if someone is ready to pay 750 for a starter try and make the dish worth it...<br/>Highly disappoint customer...!!! :(

Is there any provision to give -5 starts on zomato? It's the worst place that I have ever been to. So called 'executives' were continuously asking to take 'SET menu package' which was was of 1800 INR. And we didn't get proper service as we refused their proposal. Every item was delayed at least by 20 -25 mins. So the visit turned out in' last visit ' to the this place.

Its almost like home coming having been there so many times , this time went after a long gap may be a couple of years ..the place has a great ambiance. Perfect for a dinner with family friends or colleagues... for me as I have been there so many times , food is always done to taste and is good...

After being disappointed from Taj, while we decided to headover to J.W. we saw Le Meridien on our way.. though we wanted to try some place other than J.W so we landed in this hotel.. i never liked its location.. u c jus opposite to a railway tracks. But then we were looking for pool side dinner. So we entered this chingari resturant on le meridien terrace. Well ambience was nice.. cute swimming pool with rustic wooden furniture n sum antique n traditional lampshades.. nice n clean place jus like any other Starwood property. Staff was welcoming.. menu choice was very limited.. in liquor many of common cocktails were missing.. then after selecting one that was also not available bt i appreciate they offered me to make me a dribk which was nt even in their menu. <br/>Aatish e murgh tats tandoori chicken was nice.. well cooked. Biryani was nice with saffron aroma though it lacked some basic seasoning.. yogurt was tangy.. nt expected in such hotels.. :( <br/>Paranthas were very nice.. soft frm inside n crisp frm outside.. though butter chicken was ok.. nt tat gr8.. portion size was definitely nt matching with prices. <br/>But aftr alot of troubled evening we enjoyed our meal there.. n yea their mouth freshener options were very delicious.
Nupura
Pathetic and slow service, unattentive staff, inadequate staff, rubbish and possbly stale food(my house maid cooks better!).the tandoori paneer started was so spicy and that i could barely taste anything apart from the chilly.the marinade was surplus and falling off the paneer.it wasnt even properly done.coming to the main course,my mom was served stale and smelly fish priced at a Rs550 .subz dum handi was nothing but a sweet , red watery paste with with few pieces of vegetables here and there.totally lacking in flavor and salt .the vegetables were raw.the lacha paratha was a joke.it was i thought no one could go wrong with gulab jamun. But that was until i visited this restaurant.the gulab jamun was so overly sweet that i think the chef had probably used a kilo of sugar to make it.summing it up, this place has a bloody overpriced menu and substandard food. Clearly the food quality does not live up to the exorbitant prices that they charge.Overall , a total waste of money and time.would have rather preferred to stay at home. bullshit place.

Le Meridian-Chingari…was a wow experience.I wanted to plan an anniversary surprise and so I picked Le Meridian.I called there and asked what they can do to make it perfect, they said it’ll be a surprise for me as well.We went there and my Hubby was all smiles…the place is a beauty…rooftop…poolside…perfect ambience for a candlelight romantic dinner. The food was fab…though as with every place these days…less veg options….never mind. Then arrived our anniversary surprise…yummy chocolate cake. These are the things which make a place great…how special they make you feel…we are definitely coming there again.Loved the experience…THANKS guys!!!

Valentine's day in chingari made a very big hole in the pocket. Only Buffet was available which I think should have been informed before reservation was made as the buffet for one person was 2000 + taxes which I think was too much for what was available for the menu in buffet. <br/>The menu consisted for nv staters only 1 type of chicken prawns n lamb . main course had one type of gravy chicken fish n lamb and the only one type of roti . Only variety found was in their dessert menus. But I guess people want options in food not desserts when they pay 2k bucks for a buffet . <br/>Chingari may not be good for buffets but I guess itl b nice for a la carte as at least v wud have the option to choose what we eat. <br/>The ambience was good and so was the service. ( no mosquitoes as read in other reviews fortunately ) .

I had the done the booking for 14/02 almost 5 days before. We got the place however when we sat down waiter came and said that they are only serving buffet!!!! A very big shock. Which was quit expensive. This should have been informed me when I had the booking. Not expected this.

This is royal beauty! It appeals to all family and loved ones specially if you plan a proper dinner. Nice food layout and great service. A small place in the large property yet a smart one. Food quantity can be a thoroughly affected by luxury hotel tag but good taste for sure. Lacks in dessert variety though.

Chingari is at the terrace of Le Meridien hotel. They have got a little pool near by. Outsiders on short business trips prefer to live in this hotel and enjoy the delicious food of Chingari. The view of Pune City from the top adds to the ambience.

I went to this place last week to celebrate my birthday with my family based on some of the positive reviews that I read on Zomato.I have come back overall very dissappointed. To start with the service was very slow. It was only after waiting for about 15 mins tha we were able to get the waiter's attention. He took the order and dissappeared to completely concentrate on a large corporate group of about 15 people. Most of the team indulged in only serving that 1 table.  I could see around me a few other irritated customers as well.. After 3 reminder and 45 minutes later the starters arrived. Qty and price were a complete mismatch. The main order took another 30 mins. Whe the orders cam te most surprising thing was the size of rotis and nans...they were just about the size of a pancake( about the half the standard size that u'd get in any other restaurant in a 5star hotel)...we spent around close to 3 hrs for the dinner (spending most of the time mostly waiting for food to arrive) and left dissappointed.  The taste of food was good but the quantity and size of the servings needs some serious rethinking!!   Service needs a complete overhaul!!

This is my fifth visit to Chingari. This is one of my favourite place in Pune. Excellent food. The choice of wines is fantastic and I always gets my choice.<br/>Since this is a luxury dine I would expect certain standard of the staff which I found missing. My server seemed inexperienced in terms of knowledge of food and wine served there. I did not find that he had decent etiquette of serving food to us too.I had to request their senior staff to help us with somebody else as I was feeling embarrassed in front of one of the foreign guest I was dining with.

A perfect place to celebrate an important occasion with your special someone. The roof-top set up, softly lit area, swimming pool and good food makes you and your partner feel just at the right place.<br/>The dal makhani is to die for and must have. All the other dishes are also alright. Go there for a beautiful evening and yummy dal makhani.

Celebrated the old mans birthday here. After a lot of planning, we homed on to this place, purely because of the outdoor seating beside the pool. <br/><br/>We booked ourselves before-hand since the place tends to be packed during weekends. <br/><br/>The feel of the place is fantastic. Located at the terrace of Le Meridien, the restaurant overlooks the city. The staff is polite and very courteous. The menu is extensive with quite a lot of variety. Here's what should be ordered:<br/><br/>Murgh Achari Tikka: 4/5<br/>Amritsari bhatti da murg: 3.5/5<br/>Fried Surmai: 4.5/5<br/>Tandoori makhmali aloo: 5/5<br/>Kesari malai paneer: 4/5<br/>Dal Chingari (FANTASTIC): 5/5<br/>Tawa ki Subzi: 4/5<br/>Gosht Dum Biryani: 4/4<br/><br/>This place is the perfect setting for a romantic dinner and good enough for a family outing as well. Great ambience, great service. Definitely worth a try.

Food: This used to be one of the most crowded restaurant in the City especially on weekends. Not anymore. The charisma this place had is all lost. May be because there are better restaurants opened in the city in last 4-5 years. Food is good. But not up to the Le Meridien expectations. For last 4 times we been here, found all the dishes served here just average to what perceptions we had about this place. For couple of main course dishes chicken was overcooked. Not expected. Makai aloo ki tikki, Galauti Kebab and Dal chingari are few notable dishes. Portion size is just enough for 2 people. <br/><br/>Service: Slow. I am not sure what takes them 20-25 minutes to serve us the starters on non-busy evening. Main course came 15 minutes after we finished starters. Check took another 10. Manager or captain comes to have a friendly chat with you. But they are not very good entertainers. <br/><br/>Ambience: Rooftop sitting. Poolside tables are available. Surrounding is perfect for a romantic evening or even to hang out with friends provided mosquitoes letting you do so. Staff tries to put some repellent coil near your table which hardly helps and moreover annoys few people like me who does not like that smell. <br/><br/>Value for money: No. Overpriced. I would not recommend this place for the price we are paying there.

Chingari - is situated at the top floor of Le Meridien, literally eavesdropping on the rest of the city. The restaurant is arranged around a central pool, with ethnic decor and interesting mix and match of furniture. <br/>We had gone there to celebrate the birthday of a friend. The reservation being done prior to the visit, we faced no delay in getting a table. The place was averagely crowded.<br/><br/>The menu consisted of North Indian cuisines and we set out to choose the best for our platter. Following ensued - <br/><br/>Starters<br/>Vegetarian Kebab Platter - the platter was nice, paneer and mushrooms kebabs served on a bed of lettuce, cabbage and onions. There also was a semolina crusted potato cutlet with delicious filling. <br/><br/>Tandoori paneer - average dish. Nothing extraordinary.<br/><br/>Chicken kesari reshmi kebabs - juicy tender pieces with ample flavor of saffron, served on a bed of sauteed onions. Bangs of flavor present. Delicious.<br/><br/>Main Course<br/>Chicken khada masala- the gravy was thick and filled with the delicious tanginess of the spices. The pieces were soft and juicy.<br/><br/>A traditional variant of mix veg - a very average dish.<br/><br/>Kofta with white gravy - no salt. The combination of the two things did not work. Should have used the normal cashew nut gravy.<br/><br/>Naan - the naans were good but we ended up having plain naan even after ordering butter garlic naan.<br/><br/>Service<br/>Very slow. A friend was being pestered by mosquitoes and the coil was brought (after several reminders) 30 minutes late. We waited around 10 minutes for the bill itself. The food too was brought after many reminders. This really brought down the mood of the whole group.<br/><br/>A large hole in the pocket and not entirely satisfied.

a beautiful place with scenic view of the city. good staff and service. but was disappointed with the main course. kebab was awesome. but the kofta W's too bland with no salt.<br/>desert was average too.<br/>but r thr ambience, I would give it a second chance for sure. awesome place for a nice, quiet c dinner with your loved one.

We went to Chingari for a celebratory dinner. One of our compadres had just landed a top-dollar job abroad and we wanted to celebrate the occasion. <br/><br/>First-up, the ambience is excellent. Really relaxing and seems to take any stress away. We went in early March so the weather was still pleasant. The view (of the railway station) is not great.<br/><br/>The paneer and mushroom starters were very good. We all opted for mocktails and these were decent though nothing extraordinary. For the main course we ordered 2 curries and one daal makhni (how couldn't we when I was around?). The daal was very good and I instantly liked it. The paneer curry was also very good.<br/><br/>Overall, the quality of the food is good but not so good that this would be a destination restaurant. Expect to pay about 2,500 for a meal for 2 without drinks.

Very poorly managed 5* rated hotel.. Food is awful , very highly priced for poor quality / taste of food... Terrace dining with continuous trains sound as station is just across the road... Overall not worth spending time , energy and money..

Chingari, is the perfect destination for those who want to get away from the city chaos without really going out of the city! With a gorgeous view from the 9th floor of the Le Meridien hotel, it has a pleasant windy appeal to it.The day I visited it was so windy that my serviette literally flew off the table. The food is authentic north Indian. The "tawa sabji" unlike most restaurants has eggplant and bitter gourd in it too which is cooked to perfection! The place offers an array of kebabs which are absolutely delectable. Contrary to this the paneer tikka according to me wasn't upto the mark. The paneer was not very soft. I'd say stick to kebabs for starters since they are impeccable here! The signature chingari dal and missi roti are a must have! Another thing that definitely deserves a mention is that the finger-bowl is not just another warm-water-lemon combo, it is infused with tea and leaves a beautiful lingering smell on your fingers! (Little things matter after-all!)

Chingari the roof top open air restaurant at Le Meridien adjacent to the outdoor swimming pool is situated on the 9th floor and offers a breathtaking view of the city. The seating area is covered by a high wooden roof and separated from the pool by beautiful open latticework screens. The ambient lighting and wooden decor make for a rustic yet romantic setting. The North Indian food here is excellent and Galoti kebabs and Ran-e-Chingari are exceptional! The open air kitchen is a great feature that allows the diners a view of the Chef at the grill as he dishes out mouth watering delicacies. The service is great and the staff is well versed with the menu and very polite.

Costly restaurant when compare food quality and ambiance offered, compared to a similar restaurant. Good for those staying in Le Meridian Hotel
