Always wanted to try this place, but the long queue got me looking for other options.
Today finally, I resolved queue or not am here, and I was not disappointed.
The staff is courtesy, that's rare in the city, lately.
They are well informed on the cusiene, even rarer.
The place itself is neat and clean with good music which is just right and thankfully you can have an conversation.
The food is delicious, the pasta with no cream, cooked in olive oil, with herb butter on the side was filling and arguably the best I have had in the recent past.
The grill chicken was sumptuous.
Finished the meal with the signature blue berry cake.
Am hooked to be a regular here.
P.S would help if you took reservations for large groups (8 or more)
This restaurant is the only one in Pune which gave me the taste of European dishes. I have been lucky to spend a good amount of time in various parts of Europe and some of the dishes just got replicated here. The restaurant manages queue quite efficiently (max 15-20 mins waiting when it is full & busy). The best part is their cheesecakes; again one of the best I have had. The staff is very friendly and they include all service tax/service charges into their dishes; this is something all restaurants should emulate. Wonderful experience!!!
I just miss those Monday lunches at one of Pune's most preferred destination for European cuisine, I am talking about none other than "Le Plaisir"
Be it there muffins or their to die for desserts, everything was cooked and presented perfectly...
I am a vegetarian while my husband is a hardcore non vegetarian which made tasting almost everything on their menu that much easier...
I would just like to list a few of our favourite dishes at this place
1. Sticky pork ribs
2. Harissa grilled chicken
3. Cuscus small plate
4. Espresso panna cotta ❤️
5. Three cheese pasta
6. Cinnamon cappuccino
7.choco-banana milkshake
One of the reasons why we love visiting Pune every few months. Hands down the best cafe in Pune, everything that we tried here was phenomenal. It is known for its espresso panna cotta which is a must try dessert along with the classic New York cheesecake and the Hazelnut cheesecake, we also tried the Sachertorte. In the mains we tried the Harissa Grilled Chicken with mashed potatoes & assorted veggies and the roast chicken with mashed potatoes & chicken jus which was great as well.
the panna cotta had a perfect texture. and the sugar tasted perfectly buttery. the ambiance is superb. highly recommended
I had three cheese pasta and blueberry cheesecake here. Both were super yummy and delicious. The ambience was also good and the lighting was perfect. Loved the place and food. Would rate 5/5.one of the best places to have Italian food.i recommend this place.
A great place around Deccan Gymkhaana area to enjoy the evening with friends.
We had two of my their most favorite dishes named:
1) Hazelnut Cheesecake
2) Espresso Pannacotta
The cheesecake was perfectly cheesy and just melted in the mouth .It was having a nice flavor of hazelnut and the best part was the crushed hazelnut topped over the. cheesecake.
And the panna cotta was Espresso flavored one,it was nicely smooth and silky. The coffee and panna cotta we’re properly blended together.
I had ordered herb crusted chicken supreme. It came in really nice packaging. The sour lemon dressing and peri peri mayo paired with herb crusted chicken on the bed of thin long slices of zucchini n carrot....it was too good to be true..sorry I could not add photos as I was hungry and devoured it all. I suggest you guys should add word "Keto-friendly" in the description of this particular dish. I started keto diet and was planning to order keto food on last day. Since there is lockdown in couple of days, I chose to order today itself. This dish had all one could eat on keto without any alterations. Thank you..
Presentation: It looked so delicious when it was served. And tasted the same.
Taste: It was super delicious. Enjoyed a lot. I had tasted macaroons for the first time and they were really unique.
Texture: The pasta just melted in my mouth. The bacon was slightly chewy but tasted amazing. The chicken sandwich was was too good.
Fantastic surprise! Complimentary macaroon with my order of equally delicious New York and blueberry cheesecakes!
As usual, Le Plaisir delivered the best food. The food was warm, fresh and so good!!! Loved the sandwiches, risotto, soup. Thanks for opening up for Delivery in the current situation.
I've visited this place several times and every time I leave with good memories. I love this place with my whole heart. I keep bringing my friends to this place and they love it too now.
The food is delicious, good quantity, great service and reasonable prices.
No matter what I get the dishes are always fire. I recently tried the lamb bolognese and potato wedges which are to die for. Also, the three cheese pasta is a must try.
It has a nice and calm vibe which makes you feel so comfortable and cozy.
A go to on Friday nights for early dinner before the place gets packed at around 8:00-ish.
Fabulous food options. Loved everything we have been ordering. Even planning to be back there this weekend. A lot of the veg options are amazing. The macaroons were quite disappointing as they missed the mark on the texture. I found it too hard.
Service is quick, and staff are very attentive and efficient.
Place is cozy but the acoustics are quite poor. It becomes really noisy with the echoes when the restaurant gets packed.
Very chill and fun vibe , the servers and service is on point . They food is amazing . Especially the French toast , pink sauce pasta , and frappe .
During rush hours you might have to wait a little but it’s worth it .
La plasir can definitely find a solution towards their parking issue , it’s not very easily available
This place is a must try Firstly because it does great justice to the quantity. The dishes are loaded size wise.
For the first time, I had a salad which dint add lettuce leaves for filling up the plate. It was delicious and if one person is eating, is good to go even with just the salad.
There is just nothing that I can criticize about this place.
The device was super fast.
On and all, I will give a generous 10/10 to this place and go back again!
Located in one of Pune's most historic and lush neighborhoods, this cafe offers pure delight. Its European-style bistro setting, adorned with enchanting decor, is complemented by delectable cuisine. We indulged in their savory crepes, pasta, and more, and it was unquestionably a worthwhile experience. A definite destination to explore!
Good mix of taste and ambience. Although the wait time was too much but the taste of these delicacies compensated it.
Must try Espresso Panna Cotta and Walnut Cheesecake and among the Big plates Pan Seared Fish.
This place has garnered legendary status. Having just moved back from London in 2016, I used to visit this place so often because it was the only cafe I knew which served flat whites and chill vibes. Recently I visited again and was treated to the most delicious menu. 100% must visit!
Superlative fine dining experience with perfect ambience, food and service. Couldn't have asked for more. Saw them serve a sick child who vomitted, with lot of love and concern, it made me feel happy to see. My sons also enjoyed the experience.
Le Plaisir Pune is a delightful escape into a world of European-inspired culinary finesse. From the moment you step in, the ambiance exudes a modern charm that effortlessly transports you to a bustling European café.
The culinary journey here is nothing short of extraordinary. The food is a symphony of flavors, meticulously prepared with an unwavering commitment to quality. Each dish is a masterpiece, and what's even more commendable is that you receive precisely what is promised on the menu. This level of consistency is a testament to the kitchen's dedication to excellence.
The service at Le Plaisir is a well-oiled machine. The staff is not only efficient but also radiates professionalism and warmth. They are knowledgeable about the menu and offer great recommendations, enhancing the overall dining experience.
Now, onto the downsides. The ambient noise level can be a tad high, which might not be everyone's cup of tea for an intimate conversation. Additionally, the absence of dedicated parking might require a bit of extra planning, but trust me, the culinary journey is well worth it.
In summary, Le Plaisir Pune is a gem in the heart of the city, where every bite is a celebration of taste and every moment is an experience to cherish. Despite minor inconveniences, the overall experience is nothing short of exceptional. If you're in search of a European-style modern café that doesn't compromise on quality, Le Plaisir is the place to be.
My all time favourite. Food is top notch considering the taste as well as quality of the ingredients. Service is pretty quick and staff is helpful. Cozy ambience. All time crowded and need to struggle to get parking as well as table.
Please try panna cotta and cheese cakes.
