Vaishali hotel is the best place to have southindian food. there are many different kind of dosa and many other dishes and the staff is so nice to speak and all and when we enter in that hotel is like your home only because the environment in that hotel is so good. and when ever any person who visit pune must go to these hotel to have dosa. and it is opposite fc college.
This place is one of the must to go places pune ....its usually crowdy here ..just imagine..that ppl actually wait here for hours in line to get table ...the food here is this good ...my college is near fc road ..so it's me and my frnds once a week compulsory place to go to ...we love the food here ..spclly the mysoore dosa ...the staff here are sooo soo polite...I actually missed this place the most during this whole lockdown ...we have tried almost every dish on the menu here and I guarantee...every single person will fall in love with this place and food here ...
Good place for Dosa
But best place for Cheese Masala Dosa so far
Also utthapam with loaded butter...
You don't need to order anything else..
But while you wait for your order, you can always have sip of cold coffee
Vaishali is like a religion of Pune. It has an legacy and loyalty of customers . We have been missing the food in lockdown but getting started again is a warm welcome.
It’s Onion Tomato Uttappa , Cutlet , Mysore masala dosa is a must must try.
Don’t forget to end it without it’s special coffee... 😍
Please improve your sambar packaging. Sambar comes in a paper container and the sambar makes it soggy.
I tried their mysore dosa, uttapam and filter coffee it was so tasty. If you ever been to pune do come here for authentic south indian taste 👍🏻👍🏻This place is a must visit for that.
Totally recommended.
Happy fooding :)
Before lockdown, I was there in pune nd trying to have something in a good ambiance outlet...Mysore masala dosa was good and filtered coffee was good flavored...
One of the best South Indian snacks restaurant in Pune. People are always standing in queue for their turn to get a table and satisfy their palate. Located on FC road you surely gonna visit here if you are around.
Food- My favourite from here is Mysore cheese masala dosa, Sabudana Wada, Batata Wada, Wada(Udid) Sambhar, Idli chutney and Sabudana khichadi as well. Make sure you gulp that fast as other people are waiting for a table. Do not expect fine dine experience of chilling in a restaurant for an hour or two as it is a fast moving restaurant, unless the place is less crowded.
Ambience- Set in a restaurant style and garden style compartments, decent interior not too dark and suitable for a restaurant like this.
Service- Extremely quick most of the time unless it’s overcrowded. Quickly place order when waiter is near your table, he won’t stand by you too long considering the rush hour.
Overall a good experience.
Ghee dosa is amazon and the fried idli is my favourite
Have been here a lot and can literally see the restaurant downgrade their taste day by day 😩. But Some of the dishes still are way better than anywhere else . Thank you Shettys for this restaurant
Best ever for south indian dishes. Authentic South India food only. Awesome taste. Visiting the place from 35 years.
Good food. Service is always perfect, food is always on point, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Always looking forward to this place with my friends, dosa is exceptionally good!
Food 4/5
Service 4/5
Atmosphere 4/5
Waiting period 20 to 30 min
This was my second time in hotel Vaishali with 20 mins wait time for a Sunday afternoon lunch.
For starters, we ordered veg cutlet which is served with green coconut chutney and chopped onions, it was refreshing and fulfilling.
We had mysore masala dosa, which is a must try if you come here for the first time since it's their speciality, it is made in pure ghee and tastes absolutely delicious. The Dosa is not crunchy, it is soft.. Only thing is it has too much ghee and it gets heavy for 1 person.
We also ordered masala dosa, it was classic masala with crunchy dosa, perfect size and perfect for 1 person.
Overall experience :
Food 9/10
Service 9/10
Ambience 8/10 since it's too crowded
it is a very good place for food service is also great. Rates are also the reasonable only thing is. It is always rushed and very crowded. You will have to wait each and every time you visit the place.
It is on of the city's top most, reputed dine in destination. In peak hours rush is observed, so is waiting period.
They use quality raw materials. Taste is mesmarizing. Rates are on higher side and is natural.
Vaishali in Pune is a culinary gem, offering an authentic South Indian dining experience that transcends expectations. From the moment you step in, the vibrant ambiance sets the stage for a delightful journey into South Indian flavors. The menu is a masterpiece, boasting a diverse array of dosas, idlis, and uttapams that are nothing short of perfection. Each dish is a symphony of spices, skillfully crafted to tantalize the taste buds. The attentive staff and prompt service enhance the overall dining experience. Vaishali is not just a restaurant; it's a celebration of South Indian cuisine that leaves an indelible mark on your palate. It is a landmark of Pune.
This is our old favourite when were in Pune. This time we travelled all the way from Bengaluru for work so thot to try this after decades also the taste and consistency is same in dosa .They dosa are so large and value for money. Service as usual fantastic
The food here is very tasty. There is also a good variety of South Indian dishes.
The restaurant is clean and the atmosphere is lively. But, it takes some time to get a table. Parking can also be a bit of an issue, especially if you have a four-wheeler.
The service is quick but quite rude. The waiters have a bad attitude and are constantly trying to rush you.
The food is a bit pricey, but the location and quality compensate for that. Overall it is a good restaurant to go to with family or friends.
According to a local Punekar, "Vaishali is not just a location, it's an emotion." I had heard a lot about this place but never had the chance to grab a table due to the crowds. Whenever I passed by, I always saw a group of people waiting for a table. Fortunately, I managed to secure a place this time around.
While the prices were on the higher side, I must say that the quality of the food and service was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and will definitely visit again in the future.
What can I say about this iconic south indian eatery which the city of Pune is known for!
Mysore dosa is a must-try served with their fingerlicking sambhar and chutney! The batata wada is a family favourite. Their Sabudana wada is the epitome of deliciousness.. Crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Don't miss it.
Pair all this up with a filter coffee or cold coffee or their fantastic chai if you're a tea lover.
Overall, order anything blindly and you won't be disappointed.
