Good food. Service is always perfect, food is always on point, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Always looking forward to this place with my friends, dosa is exceptionally good! Food 4/5 Service 4/5 Atmosphere 4/5 Waiting period 20 to 30 min

This was my second time in hotel Vaishali with 20 mins wait time for a Sunday afternoon lunch. For starters, we ordered veg cutlet which is served with green coconut chutney and chopped onions, it was refreshing and fulfilling. We had mysore masala dosa, which is a must try if you come here for the first time since it's their speciality, it is made in pure ghee and tastes absolutely delicious. The Dosa is not crunchy, it is soft.. Only thing is it has too much ghee and it gets heavy for 1 person. We also ordered masala dosa, it was classic masala with crunchy dosa, perfect size and perfect for 1 person. Overall experience : Food 9/10 Service 9/10 Ambience 8/10 since it's too crowded

it is a very good place for food service is also great. Rates are also the reasonable only thing is. It is always rushed and very crowded. You will have to wait each and every time you visit the place.
Ashok Khot
It is on of the city's top most, reputed dine in destination. In peak hours rush is observed, so is waiting period. They use quality raw materials. Taste is mesmarizing. Rates are on higher side and is natural.

Vaishali in Pune is a culinary gem, offering an authentic South Indian dining experience that transcends expectations. From the moment you step in, the vibrant ambiance sets the stage for a delightful journey into South Indian flavors. The menu is a masterpiece, boasting a diverse array of dosas, idlis, and uttapams that are nothing short of perfection. Each dish is a symphony of spices, skillfully crafted to tantalize the taste buds. The attentive staff and prompt service enhance the overall dining experience. Vaishali is not just a restaurant; it's a celebration of South Indian cuisine that leaves an indelible mark on your palate. It is a landmark of Pune.

This is our old favourite when were in Pune. This time we travelled all the way from Bengaluru for work so thot to try this after decades also the taste and consistency is same in dosa .They dosa are so large and value for money. Service as usual fantastic

The food here is very tasty. There is also a good variety of South Indian dishes. The restaurant is clean and the atmosphere is lively. But, it takes some time to get a table. Parking can also be a bit of an issue, especially if you have a four-wheeler. The service is quick but quite rude. The waiters have a bad attitude and are constantly trying to rush you. The food is a bit pricey, but the location and quality compensate for that. Overall it is a good restaurant to go to with family or friends.
Dipti Kullkarni
According to a local Punekar, "Vaishali is not just a location, it's an emotion." I had heard a lot about this place but never had the chance to grab a table due to the crowds. Whenever I passed by, I always saw a group of people waiting for a table. Fortunately, I managed to secure a place this time around. While the prices were on the higher side, I must say that the quality of the food and service was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and will definitely visit again in the future.

What can I say about this iconic south indian eatery which the city of Pune is known for! Mysore dosa is a must-try served with their fingerlicking sambhar and chutney! The batata wada is a family favourite. Their Sabudana wada is the epitome of deliciousness.. Crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Don't miss it. Pair all this up with a filter coffee or cold coffee or their fantastic chai if you're a tea lover. Overall, order anything blindly and you won't be disappointed.

This place serves delicious South Indian food but is usually very crowded.... However... Wait is worth the money
Akshay Moralwar
One of the iconic eatery place to visit in Pune. The name is legendary so is the taste. All the staff is working from past 30+ years, they are friendly and service is also top notch. The only drawback is that the waiting time too much. But no one can beat them in the taste.
SOURABH CHANDPURI
The food was very good and the price is also very reasonable. Must try this place if you are in Pune. We tried Mysore Dosa and cold coffee. Dosa was nice but the cold coffee was just ok.
riya gote
The only best place for south indian food in Pune. We had cheese onion uttapa, mysore masala dosa, masala dosa, cheese chilli toast, and coffee. The coffee is amazing something to die for.
Rucha S
One of the iconic places in Pune, where people have been going since ages to have all types of South Indian food and other dishes too. It has the best Mysore Masala (cheese) dosa, Onion Butter Uttappa, idli, batata wada, medu wada, veg cutlet, dahi wada, sabudana wada and SPDP (only after 5 p.m) and many more tasty dishes. Also try thier delicious filter coffee and mosambi juice. If you ever visit Pune this is one place you must visit. Ask any Punekar and they will tell you how great it is due to their sentimental value attached to this place. You might find it mediocre but it's the vibe, so do try once. Overall, Affordable prices. Good and fast service. Polite staff. Delicious food. Clean and hygienic. Parking not available. (Especially for cars)

While the restaurant is seriously overhyped, it serves simple and fresh food at all times. The crowd and the waiting times don’t seem real for the fare but then that’s how the place is! Their menu is a huge spread with the most sought after being fast food. Variety of sandwiches, South Indian dishes, Pav bhaji and cutlets are a thing here. The quality is decent and prices are affordable. The service is fast and good. The waiters are polite. Located right on the busy Fergusson college road, it continues to gather crowds - and hold its place!

Heard a lot about vaishali when i was travelling to pune , many people recommended it for south indian food . I tried the dosa , filter coffe and cutlet . Taste was not that great . And also it was over crowded, we had to wait a long time to get our table . Would have been worth the wait if the taste would have been good .

Vaishali is like a religion of Pune. It has an legacy and loyalty of customers . We have been missing the food in lockdown but getting started again is a warm welcome.
It’s Onion Tomato Uttappa , Cutlet , Mysore masala dosa is a must must try.
Don’t forget to end it without it’s special coffee... 😍

Please improve your sambar packaging. Sambar comes in a paper container and the sambar makes it soggy.

Parth Aolaskar
One of the best South Indian snacks restaurant in Pune. People are always standing in queue for their turn to get a table and satisfy their palate. Located on FC road you surely gonna visit here if you are around.

Food- My favourite from here is Mysore cheese masala dosa, Sabudana Wada, Batata Wada, Wada(Udid) Sambhar, Idli chutney and Sabudana khichadi as well. Make sure you gulp that fast as other people are waiting for a table. Do not expect fine dine experience of chilling in a restaurant for an hour or two as it is a fast moving restaurant, unless the place is less crowded.

Ambience- Set in a restaurant style and garden style compartments, decent interior not too dark and suitable for a restaurant like this.

Service- Extremely quick most of the time unless it’s overcrowded. Quickly place order when waiter is near your table, he won’t stand by you too long considering the rush hour.

Overall a good experience.

Ghee dosa is amazon and the fried idli is my favourite

Have been here a lot and can literally see the restaurant downgrade their taste day by day 😩. But Some of the dishes still are way better than anywhere else . Thank you Shettys for this restaurant

All have to wait for their turn, when you're about to finish your repast, the next guy is hovering over your shoulder , waiting to take your table . Nevertheless one of the Modest places offering the best of best dosas , brilliant chutney and amazing coffee, definitely a must visit...Try and avoid weekends.

If you are punekar you don't need any introduction to this restaurant. It's one of the oldest and famous restaurant in pune. specialty of this restaurant is south Indian dishes.vaishali is situated in fc road opposite of FC college. I visited this place many times when I have craving for South Indian food. seating is divided into three sections, outdoor ,indoor and garden seating . ambiance is good but people come for taste. You will find very decent crowd .what I don't like about this restaurant is long waiting . anytime u go u have to wait but this is obvious beacuse restaurant is that famous. So if u want to eat South Indian dishes it's perfect place for u.

A quiet place amidst the bustling city that serves amazing South Indian food.
• The sabudana vadas, paired with a bowl of thick, creamy, and sweet yoghurt dip were crispy and crunchy.
• The onion uthappam was absolutely delicious and both the sambar and chutney are to die for.
• The dahi vadas, dunked in yoghurt were light, airy, and had a melt-in-your-mouth texture.
This place is a crowd puller and it's almost impossible to get a table during the weekends but the food makes up for it all.
Vaishali will always be close to my heart since it holds a lot of happy childhood memories.

The famous gem of Pune located on FC road. Vaishali is a hotel that every punekar has visited at least once and would proudly boast about it. To have our share of experience and be a part of this heritage we visited here one fine afternoon for lunch. Typically famous for South Indian delicacies, we also went with the flow. Ordered Mysore masala dosa and onion Uthappa. The taste and the freshness was too good to be true. Also ordered a veg thali which was also very tasty comprising of a full meal. I felt Some of the items are overpriced. But everything else was awesome here. And to top it off we had a filter coffee, it had a taste I remember till today

the best restaurant in Deccan area for a good South Indian snack or meal. Their dosas and uttapas are yumm, udid wadas are to die for their ratios for the batter are spot on, fried idli fried to perfection inside stays soft even after frying. Non-South Indian snacks are also good, like their Sec Batata Dahi Pur (SPDP) must try, their pizzas are good too, they're like homemade ones, sabudana wadas

One of best veg places in Pune. I have been visiting this place from 2010 - when I first came to this city. Though we have shifted to PCMC, whenever we are near FC, we make it a point to go to Vaishali 😃. Bustling with people of all age groups, the staff manages the crowd well, and is courteous . Food Quality has been maintained, and the preparation is flavoursome.

Heard a lot about this place. But I must tell you, this place is overated and overpriced, crowded like anything. Even after having a reservation I had to wait for about 20 minutes.

Now lets get to the food. I ordered a dosa and veg cutlet and both of them were equally bad. Specially the veg cutlet.

I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

I will not recommend this place for 2 people. As they have very less occupancy for 2. If u will go in a group priority will be given.

Starting with ambience, this place has good interiors and even the outdoor setting in the backside of restaurant is good. This place is crowded almost all days (it's bombing crowd during weekends), so better to go little early and avoid annoying waiting period. Being a South Indian, I personally wasn't awed with the taste of any South Indian dish from the menu, probably because I had high expectations as I had heard about this place from a lot of sources. But one dish which I fell in love with and almost went five times to this restaurant to eat only that particular dish is- "Sabudana Vada". After coming to pune, I had had sabudana vada every other day, but this place serves you the best compared to any other place. Cons- I hated chat items, a big no for life. Servers are good, patient, but they tend to get annoyed sometimes probably due to heavy crowd, it's not their fault as they are also human. On a total I give it an average rating of 3 out 5, as food were mediocre to taste, not too bad except chat items, nor too good.

They serve authentic South Indian dishes. When i ordered masala dosa, it was not cooked properly, so i was seeking for manager for the complaint, so that time Mr Ganesh Pujari attended me and understood my complaint, and immediately took action and personally went to kitchen and get it cooked properly as per my requirement and he only served me, which is highly appreciated to this person. He was very humble and respectful person. This restaurant is lucky to have this kind of staff working. The way he good cooked i was over satisfied with the dosa. Superb. All the best Mr Ganesh Pujari for your future ❤️😊😊

This place is a gem in this city and never in 10 yrs has this place disappointed me...I don’t even look at the menu since I know I will order their Mysore masala dosa and idli plate...I wish this place opens up more branches across India...everyone visiting Pune mist give this place a try!!!

My all time favourite South Indian restaurant 🤩
Madhurima Nandamuri
We visited vaishali in the evening and it was so very crowded, we had to wait around 20 mins to get a table. Though the staff was very cooperative. Ambience was pleasant and lively. Coming to the food, we had cheese masala dosa, dahi wada, sandwich and mango milkshake. Dosa was super crisp, light, cheesy and very very filling. Dahi wada was very refreshing full of rich dahi and chutneys. Mango milkshake in a non mango season was amazing but mind it, it's very heavy. My favourite was definitely the dahi wada. It's a place with good ambience located on fc road and offers great value for the money. The food here will make your soul happy

As a delhiite visiting pune, I loved the open seating of the place.
Due to the polluted Delhi Air, we don't have that in Delhi.
Basic no frills food at a clean place, not priced very high, this place has all the chill you would need with a glass of nimbu pani.

This is place is for Punekar's south indian cravings. It is located on F.C. College Road, Pune.

Its hard to find parking first and then hard to find seat inside :D. If you are lucky you will go inside without waiting but certainly you won't be lucky.

it is clean and hygienic.

I visit here only for : 1) Veg Cutlet : It tastes just delicious.
2) SPDP : it tastes good.
3) Mysore Masala Dosa : This is yummy.
4) They serve very tasty Upma for breakfast.
5) You cannot keep aside Cheese Onion Uttapam.. Its awesome and yummy to the core.

Cons :
This is over crowded place.

Very unexpected from Vaishali. Disappointing cutlet delivered.

The taste of dosa was amazing. I got a parcel mysore masala dosa and they packed the chutney in a fresh leaf. Mind you the taste of leaf seeped into the chutney and it tasted even better. What I appreciate the most is that the food packaging was 100 percent eco friendly. No need to mention separately that the staff was courteous, that's Vaishali

Vaishali, first time I visited this place in 2009, from that time I am lover of vaishali food. Enjoying within family and friends this place gives you refreshment, will prefer maysoor masala chizz dhosa
