Review The Northern Frontier - Pune

Pranu S
It's a heart warming place. The food here is real amazing. Non veg as well as veg both options are really good. The hospitality here is great. Ambience and the overall atmosphere is lovely. It would be a great place to dine with your family and friends.
Akash Bhattacharjee
This place has quite an ambiance, with a royal feeling. And the service is super fast, they will bring the next dish even before you can barely finish half of the earlier one. Murgh Shorba soup was good similar to chicken clear soup but was a bit on thicker side. Chakori Kabab was really good and well prepared and a must try here. Tabab Maaz was mutton ribs but was too bland and contains too much fat and mostly not worth it. Jhinga Mehrunisa was Prawn preparation which was also good. Murgh Biriyani was good but you can get better biriyani elsewhere. Murgh Dum-Wazwan Style was chicken gravy which was ok not that great but the chicken was well prepared and soft. The Naan were very soft and of very good quality. Gulab Jamon was also not that great. Overall a good place but on a big expensive side.

This is one of the oldest lesser known places serving Puneites. This restaurant is located on Nagar Road and is there for quite a long time. This place serves some amazing North Indian dishes and you can opt for your favourite alcoholic drink too. I visited this place with my friends recently and had a good time. The place is neat, clean and food is hygienic. I found the food to be quite delicious. We had ordered a good combination of vegeterian and non vegeterian dishes. The soup was also top notch. On a price scale, this place is moderately priced. I would definitely recommend you guys to visit this place for some amazing food and drinks.

Been to this place for team lunch. Even on weekday, we have to wait half an hour to get table. located on nagar road and near to two IT towers, mostly office crowd was there. Food : We ordered Hara bhara kabab, Makhmali paneer ghulgule, basket roti, jira rice and daal tadka. Food preparation and presentation is well. Taste could be better. Service : Average. Delay in order taking and serving on table. Missed some order. Ambience is simple yet comfy. #CanGoPlace #LetsGuide

Great place for non-vegeterians.. This place has very nice antique vibe..the service of the restaurant is very good.. people are very humble.. outdoor dining options are also available here.. we ordered Tujji Kokur in starters and Lahori Murg for main course.. both these dishes are highly recommended..!!

If you crave for north Indian fair this is a place which you can visit. Its an old joint with a rustic feel to it situated on the busy road towards Phoenix mall. Quality of the food being served is good and the staff is attentive and courteous. They do serve delicious food and if you want to spend a quite afternoon/evening with family please do pay a visit

Nice ambience. Food taste is amazing here. Anytime you go and any dish you order I bet you will always be happy. Slightly over priced but worth it provided quality food they are providing. Service is also very good

Nice restaurant, very tasty food and good service.
Sayantani Chatterjee
Really awesome Kashmiri food irrespective of appetisers, main course etc. Non veg gravy items, lotus stem veg gravy and mutton yakhni pulao a must try. Bit overpriced but justified considering the quality.

Ordered tandoori chicken was surprised at how horrible it was. Burnt and dry to the core. They Charge twice the amount at other restaurants but was okay to pay as expected high quality and taste!! Very disappointed

Before anyone Judge me on the ratings I provided, let me say I had been fan of “The Northen Frontier” since long back and used to visit them . Since 2 years , I could not, hence visited with my family this weekend and here is the review why my review( which was 5 star) changed to 1 star.

We ordered Paneer Chatpata in Starter along with Masala Pappad. In main course we ordered Paneer Lababdar and we were about to order Chicken Yakhni Pulao, however on Staff request we ordered some another variety if Ninya Pulao. Also we ordered “Dhabe wali Kali Dal”.

Paneer chatpata was completly a south Indian dish they made with kadi pati and green chilli and paneer pieces were like so small that I was getting vibes that I am in South Indian restaurant and not in Northen Frontier.

Followed by we got Paneer Lababdar, I can definitly without doubt say this is the worst Paneer dish I ever had anywhere. There was no taste, no authenticity.

Ninya Pulao were normal among all these dishes not that great that I would want to have it again. Quantity was its enough to serve 3 ppl.

And here comes the major disappointment, this dish which is named in their Menu as “Dhabe wali Kali Daal”. If there is any person who knows wat the food is all about and if I tell u that you are going to eat Dhabe wali Kali daal, in which bad dreams u will imagine that you will get Masoor dal which is not kali , which is not being served in Dhabas. I am not sure why you will name a dish which does not look or taste like that at all. This dal was so bad so bad that I was literally feeling guilty of having it.

All in all , I paid 1700 Rs for the food which was so bad look wise, Presentation wise, Taste wise. I am not sure if they have changed their chef or wat. However they have lost their taste for which they were known for.

Also bit wiered thing was, On asking staff what is your best dish which we should order, Answer was that too 3 4 times, Veg kolhapuri. Are you not tagging yourself as Northern Frontier , then why we would want to have kolhapuri food at your end, for that we will visit a Maharashtrian cusine restaurant.

Anyways, I dont think I will ever would like to visit them again kr will suggest anyone.

Verdict:
Food: 👎🏻
Service:👎🏻
Ambience: 👎🏻👎🏻
Price:👎🏻
Taste: 👎🏻

This is must try restaurant for authentic kashmiri cousin. I loved their mutton ribs preparation. Chicken shorba and how can i forget the mutton rogan josh with naan n steam rice....last but not the least hot gulab jamun to end my winter dinner
Sanjeet Krishna
A great place for dinner with family.
Loved a couple of dishes so much, that I had recommended it for a friend.
Recommendations are paneer birbali and ajwaini lachcha paratha
Jhalaveera
The food quality speaks for it . The taste is deliciously yummy and satisfies the north cravings .
Ashish Shinde
We asked them to get some spicy chicken main course.
They suggested chicken Lahori. But when we tasted it was tasteless plus not spicy. It had black chicken pieces into it.. which i never saw anywhere else.. totally disappointed with food.
Kunal Rajput
A small restaurant, but its quite costly. We were sitting on the window side and it had a nice view from there. We went for the lunch to try out this restaurant. Food was good but not worth the price of dishes. That's why I think it was not that crowded also.
Apoorva
Uncooked and probably stale chicken. Tasteless curries

The Northern Frontier, Yerwada.

#Strictlyaverage

The Northern Frontier in Yerwada has always been on one of my to go lists. Despite having been there a couple of times, I have not really been there in the recent years.

A slow Friday and nice rainy weather prompted us to book lunch at The Northern Frontier today.

Service: Great and attentive service. Good recommendations by staff!!

Ambiance: Very nicely done place, gives you the vibes of places like Rahul, or similar old timey restaurants.

Food:

Appetizers:

CHAKORI KEBAB: Nicely grilled chicken cubes in a kasuri methi marinade. Soft, succulent and well done!

BHOONA MURGH HARI MIRCH: Ok ok dish. Tasted like the chicken stuffing in most chicken rolls. Very average.😕😕

TABAAK MAAZ Deep fried Mutton Ribs. Overdone(slightly burnt tasting) and the mutton had a peculiar smell to it. Sent back and we were not charged for this. Please avoid. 😳😳

Mains:

MUTTON ROGAN JOSH: The mutton was very well done but the gravy left a lot to be desired. I've had better in many other places. 🤨🤨

LAHORI MURGH: This was probably the better dish of the lunch and that's a bit of a letdown in a place specializing in Kashmiri Cuisine. Creamy gravy and decent chicken.

All in all, The Northern Frontier fell well below expectations. I dont think I'll go back.

One of the best place in pune for dal makhani and for non veg lover laal mass
Must visit place

Catering to the moughlai palate since more than a decade now you can't go wrong if you looking for comforting butter chicken, biryani and some hearty sheekh kebab n tikka.
Ayush Mahajan
Went there on some recommendations. No one attended us properly. We were told to order in one go as the kitchen was closing soon (this was good on their part. 1 star for being transparent and polite here). No cutlery provided. No quarter plates provided. No one to take feedback. Taste was ok.

Went in for a team lunch ..I was a regular to this restaurant a while ago .. but visited this place almost after a year and nothing seem to have changed much ..
We ordered non veg platter and roti basket .. the non veg was tender and very well done and the roti basket was simply awesome .. next was rogan gosh and it was great too .. I would have liked gravy to be little thick though ..

Overall great food and good ambience..

Zomato gold did not work on the platter though

Well this is one of the good restaurant on this side of the town. The northern frontier food inspiration is very well done here.

Have visited here often and has never disappointed me ever.

What you should go here for- food food and food.

Never tried their biriyani but the curries and starters are just good. This is one of my frequent spots to visit.

You will never repent being here ever.

It's my first city hopping.....

And I came across this beautiful restaurant in the city......

Beautiful kashmiri themed specialty restaurant with excellent food and a very serene ambience....

In frame:

Jeera rice
Jhinga Nisha
Raan e murgh
Pint of beer with cheese poppers

We had been for a family dinner at this place on 11th May 2019. The place has indoor as well as outdoor seating but we preferred indoors in AC. The ambience of the restaurant is like the traditional family restaurants some decades back. The soup and starters were good in taste. The main course was also good, overall the food tasted good. I personally missed the wow feeling at the restaurant. Zomato Gold offer on the food came handy...!!!

Going thru the vast menu, we had already decided on what we wanted to order.. Unfortunately they did not have Galouti kebabs.. So we ordered Mutton Kabargah, twin rows of fried lamb chops. In one word amazing, but since they are small in size, leaves you craving for more😋😋😋perfectly marinated in traditional garam kashmiri masala and dipped in a batter of yogurt and Kashmiri mirchi before being fried in pure ghee.. The unmistakable flavour that hits the palate makes you reach out for the next one.😋😍👌

Next was an Achari chicken Tikka.. Nothing much to write about, suffice to say that it was marinated in Achari masala and was juicy and tender on the grill.

The main was the Rogan Josh chicken... Okay this definitely tastes best when you opt for the mutton, however we had someone who avoids mutton 🙄🤔so... In spite of it being cooked with chicken the unmistakable Rogan was full of josh!!! the Kashmiri chilli adding the distinct red color and flavor, without burning a hole in your tongue 😜went purrrrrfectly with the flaky and crispy Lachha parathas.. This was definitely the star of the meal. I shamelessly wiped the plate clean.

I'm going back for many more "mutton" dishes which I could not have 😏😋🤣

Good things first, Chicken Yakhni and assorted Roti basket was amazing, staff was courteous and friendly. Coming to things that were ok .. the butter chicken lacked basic flavour of it..
And some were way too disappointing, on a summer afternoon the AC was badly ineffective, we were profusely sweating, after requesting staff to make it colder it still was the same and the staff had ‘we don’t care’ look on the faces.
The management needs to look at it seriously, as charging high prices has to be justified by equally good overall dining experience. The interiors are little sad comparing with modern day fine dining expectations. Hope to come back again for yakhni after these have been rectified.

An extremely friendly and polite staff, mouth watering and exotic varieties of dishes, great ambience... The Northern Frontier is everything we look in restaurant for. A must visit place. 👍🏻👍🏻

Went here with office colleagues (7 people) for lunch. It's better to book a table if you are going with more than 6 people although prior booking is not necessary. The restaurant has its own valet parking which is great.

My Rating:-

Food - 4.5/5

Ambiance - 4/5

Staff - 4.5/5

Service - 5/5

Traditional place, good food, sometimes can be inconsistent taste... so if first time you’re impressed & not the second time, you can still give it a try the third time... it might still turn out to be a good experience.
Sachi Is Veggie
Visited Pune recently and happened to drop by at this place for lunch. It is on the main road and easy to locate. The restaurant has decent ambiance and the staff are friendly.
We ordered Makai Rikki, tandoori khubh for starters. The plating was neat and both the starters tasted amazing. For main course we had paneer lababdar, Dal makhani, kulchas, roti's and a fresh lime soda. The paneer was soft and the gravy was creamy and tangy. The Dal makhani was made to perfection.
Overall a good place to dine.

They are providing very bad service. Taste of food is also not good. Completely Disappointed from behaviour of staff. They must improve the quality.
Very bad service for dinning. Food taste was not at all good. Served food very late and waiters behavior was also not good. Saw good reviews on Zomato and went but Will never visit this place again.
Apeksha Bedse Girigosavi
Service is damn slow and seems they are least bothered about customers. They don't inform while ordering that the order will take time. Need improvement.
Ankur Gupta
A very average experience. Straight faced and not interested waiter. Food was great...drinks were a cheat ..seemed to be unethically diluted ....some starnge smell where we sat....
Overall a passable experience

The Northern Frontier is a nice fine dine restaurant which is situated in the opposite of Aga Khan palace. The ambiance of the restaurant is really nice. They have both indoor and outdoor sitting. The food is nice. They see to it that the food is not too oily and is served nicely. It is a little expensive but worth it.We ordered Hara Bhara Kabab, Kurkuri Bhindi, jeera rice, Daal fry and Wheat roti.Kurkuri bhindi is just wow and we also get a complimentary plate of cheeslings as well...!The staff and the service is really great. They are very polite, friendly and quick.

Overall a nice experience.

Nothing too great about this place. We ordered malai kofta and dal tarka and it was very average. Moreover the service was too slow. Definitely not a place to visit again.
Pankaj Pawar
This is a decent family dine-in experience for north Indian cuisine

We tried Dum Afgan Murgh Tikka in the starter which was prepared using dum biryani technique and had little gravy with it. It was so well cooked and well marinated and juicy.
Had Murgh Mirch Masala in the main course. Curry was great. Not too oily, not too spicy just perfect for our taste.

You also get a complimentary plate of cheeslings on your table as soon as you place an order.
Overall good experience.

Ambience: 3/5
Food Taste: 4/5
Service: 3.5/5

Most of the times we order food from this restaurant as this is near to my office. Very Authentic taste and with amazing food quality. Must try Malai Kofta, Kashmiri Dum aaloo and Paneer labandaar. They serve the best Malai Kofta so I strongly recommend this. I have had dining experiences as well and the ambience and set up is very nice. The first time I had visited this restaurant was in 2009 and since then the quality and taste is maintained. Keep it up!
Rohit
I have been to this restaurant twice, with my family, and the food was excellent on both the visits.
I personally like their non-vegetarian menu options, which taste great.
The portion sizes justify the price for the menu.
The service is a bit slow, owing to the fact that the place is always full with crowd, since the food is so good.
Sandeep Raut
I went there for casual dining with wife. Because of Navratri I had to eat veg ☹️. We ordered Paneer lasooni tikka and sweet corn tikki. Paneer was good, but some thing was wrong with sweet corn tikki and it was tasting sour. I asked, captain and he immediately agreed to change it, after a while he offered hara bhara kabab instead, from my earlier experience I agreed. But that was also not tasting right. So we left it there and ordered the safest option i.e. dal khichadi. And it was a saviour and filled our appetite. Mocktails were good.
Raman Bohra
It’s my one of the favourite place to dine. Old, earthy and tasty. Now it’s on Zomato gold so is big plus. You can try anything there but don’t miss biryani.
Vyvek Motwani
It has an great Ambience which is misjudged often by the exterior look. Would recommend to fo enter to feel the difference and check out the food, service and ambience.

Angar kebabs: 9/10.
Murgh patiyala: 9/10.
Kuntal Ganguly
The restaurant is upscale and the price of the items are on the higher side. The ambiance isn't very attractive yet fairly comfortable with light music playing in the background.

I visited the place for an early dinner but was unable to devour more than a soup, couple of starters and a dessert. While the soup did not excite much, the starters were delicious although the chicken starter could have tasted better with a bit of seasoning. The dessert, Phirni, was a soothing way to wrap up. Not to forget, they presume every visitor to be ordering drinks and thus lay out a generous helping of cheese bites and onion salad.

The place might not be suitable for many for regular visits but a one-time visit is fine. I would like to try some of the main course next time.
Aishwarya
Saw this elegant and embellished restaurant from across the road and it drew us towards it. Being a North Indian food lover, I was quite happy with the diversity of the menu.
We ordered Dahi ke Kebab for appetizers, Dum Aloo as the main course and butter roti and garlic naan.
The starters were quite delicious, however, I believe it could have been crispier and more flavourful. Dum Aloo was served in a really good quantiy and tasted fine. Nothing exceptional about it. The breads tasted good and they served cheeselings before the food was served.
The service was fine, quantity of food was great but the taste of food could be improved.
Otherwise, the ambience is nice consisting of both indoor and outdoor seating.
Aditi Mendiratta
We recently ordered Mutton Rista , Chicken Yakhni, Tandoori Roti and Garlic Naan. Yakhni was nice and tangy , Rista was good too however found it a little overpriced as per the quantity that was served to us.
Malik Vastani
We ordered for non spicy food , afghani murglahoori which was way too spicy and hot despite of particularly stating about the requirements.

Quality of the food had worsened over period if time
Mani
I have been to this restaurant before but things have apparently changed over the years. Today after a couple of years I revisited the place and I am appalled by the service. The pass forgot to send our orders out to the table. Repeated reminders fell on deaf years and a mumbling steward made matters bad. The two Star are for the food. They still have the same flavors that I have memories of. But the service has gone down.

An aside : folks in our group who were ordering meat dishes saw better service.
Rutvee Shah
The Northern Frontier is a decent family dine in experience . Though the staff is a little under trained , but they were accommodating enough to customize the food a bit as per our preference.
Coming to the taste, the curry was great. Not too oily, not too spicy just perfect for our taste. The man was soft and didn't get chewy till we completed the meal. Kudos for that.
The best part was the cheeselings given at the start. :)
Atreya Tambe
A very nice place for north Indian cuisine .It is located near Aga khan place as is therefore easy to locate.Worth a try .It is famous for its Indian curries.I ordered for a chicken starter, prawn starter, chicken lavabdar gravy chicken murgh masala and Kesari mutton biryani. These all food dishes were mouth watering and delicious.Be it one of the finest restaurant for North Indian food.Always worth a try.
Rating
1)Food-4/5
2)Staff-3/5
3)Ambiance-3/5
Overall this restaurant is is worth a visit.
Nikhil Talwar
Nice place to visit for Indian cuisine. Place is easy to locate as it is opposite the famous Aga Khan palace. Spacious resteraunt. Food was good but portions were a bit small. Can be increased.

I visited the place to enjoy Kashmiri cuisine. Pretty decent taste. Had a portion of kabargah (mutton ribs) and followed it with Gushtaba and steamed rice. Both the dishes were cooked with mild spices and just the right amount of masalas.

Staff was helpful to decide the right choice and courteous.

Do visit while in Pune.
Kajol Gupta
They have quick and excellent service. Pleasant ambience with dim lit warm atmosphere. The murg Dum-wazwan Style and mutton rogan josh was delicious .
Sujata Naik
One more nice place for family dinners. We had a family get together and spent the memorable time here.

We ordered Tangadi Kabab and Tandoori Murgh in the starters and it was really amazing I must say. They served us good food in the main course too followed by the ice creams in desserts.

Service was clean and nice. I would recommend this place for non-vegetarians.

Overall Rating: 3

Ambience: 3.5
Food: 3.5
Service: 4

Cheers.!
Madhura
This is one of the places that serves a variety of amazing non-vegetarian food in the area. The laal maas is one of the best - cooked to perfection with the right mix of spices. What my family also likes is the kaale masale ka murgh and rogan josh here. The perfectly prepared Kaale masale ka murgh tastes just the right with both roti as well as rice.

The fish tikka is another favourite. I haven't tried many vegetarian dishes here - just a couple of starters - so won't comment a lot. But, I would come back to try the vegetarian fare someday. Being a non-vegetarian and given the amazing non-vegetarians options here, it seems just difficult to visit this restaurant for vegetarian food.
Chaitanya Tallam
Ambience is ok not that great. Good and fast service as it was a Friday afternoon. And coming to food now.
Starters: We took Assorted Chicken Platter as non veg starter and Hari mirch ka paneer tikka and all were good except for tandoori chicken which could have been more moist and buttery. Strawberry delight and desert storm in beverages were also good.
Main course:
Non veg: Mutton Roganjosh and Murg Lahori was very good. Nice taste of the gravy and nicely cooked chicken and mutton. Assorted Roti basket and jeera rice was also very good.
Veg: Paneer Lababdar and dal tadka was also good. However non veg is better option at this place than vegetarian.
Dessert: Gajar halwa was average.
Overall good experience and recommended for Non vegetarian food. :)
Priti Parwal
I don't have anything specifically good to write about this place.
The vegetarian fare is really really average..they do not do justice to the rates.
We had the following:
Cream of tomato soup
Karari roti
Paneer amritsari - this was one of the most horrible starters i have ever had. Just paneer coated in some flour and fried.. even the coating was not done properly, it had come off from most of the pieces.
Vegetable jaipuri
Paneer lababdar
Tandoori rotis
Steam rice: served cold. When i complained, the waiter just said ok and went off asking someone else whether rice was cold.. that was it.
Gajar ka halwa.

Everything mentioned above tasted okayish, other than the starter which was the worst. Service was bad. There is nothing to say about the ambience. I dont know about everyone else, but the chair i sat on hardly had any cushioning.
Never going back! 😊
Utkarsh
Being a kashmiri, wanted to try this out and the food was ok to my expectations. Knowing the authentic taste, i think my standards are high but my friends emjoyed the food here.
We ordered Tabakmazz (which was delightful) and rista (which was also good) but being emotional with food, i expected more..
All in all its a good place for meat lovers a bit pricey but if it satisfies ur taste buds, its worth it.and moreover u will have a taste of kashmiri cuisine..
When you don't have to experiment and need good food to cheerup mood, Northern Frontier is best place to visit. Non veg is best! Tried various soups and they were awesome. Food rate is high. But if food is yummy don't mind spending money
Ektaa Jindal
It's a pretty descent place with nice food. Though they have long queues on Sunday so despite of booking the table, still had to wait for 15-20mins and then food also took lot of time as they were quite occupied.

Good restaurant for dining. Went for dinner here. Tried Tomato soup, chicken starter & main course. Taste was good, Nothing exceptional. Good staff service.
Parking is on the road side itself, no separate parking. Have indoor & outdoor seating options.

It is the best restaurant in this area. Food quality is too good rather fresh. Non veg food amazing and one thing I would like to share you can tell them the spiciness you want, mostly if kids with you. Always, I prefer this restaurant for non veg and veg too. Try once, it's best.

I went to this place yesterday. To start of with the ambience. It was quite basic. Getting to the food, it was amazing. One of best food experience I have had in a while. I had Tujji Kokur as a starter and for main course Murg Kasuri. Both the dishes were equally good. Also galic naan tasted really fresh and soft. Staff was very courteous. Would definitely recommend it to my friends.

Great food! It's a really good option for Indian food. They serve amazing kebabs , you especially the murgh chakori kebab. Also the veg seekh kebab is very good. Their methi mutter malai is nice. And almost all their non veg main course is yum! They serve Kashmiri delicacies like lotus stems, Rogan Josh etc too. Do try it out if your are in the mood for good food but don't care much about the ambiance! :)

Had been here last week and the experience was really bad the person who took out order wasnt able to suggest anything good, we had non veg jhinga mehrunisa and barbeque whole fish the taste was ok however the presentation was pathetic we had to ask for side salads.. even a normal restaurant serves better than what you served... we ordered for biryani again the way it was served we are speechless not expected from northern Frontier, it was really good in all aspects few years back its disappointing that the service is deteriorating now. In the end when asked for dessert they had just indian sweets and nothing else, i mean the kid was disappointed too... Overall Rating
Ambience 2*
Service 2*
Presentation 0
Staff 2*
Food 3*
Please focus on presentation and friendly environment with regards to service, focus on service part and introduce some dessert options like brownie icecream atleast, looking forward to visit with some good positive changes like the one it was previously.

We felt like eating Kashmiri food the other night so we went to this place. We started off with lassi and fresh lime water along with Tujji Kokur which is a chicken starter and Seekh E Tujj which is a mutton starter that comes with naan. Post this we ordered Ninya Pulao which is a mutton Pulao. All these kashmiri dishes were well made and had their own unique flavor. Post this we had Malai kulfu for dessert. Have eaten here before also. They have maintained their taste and quality.

I ordered food via Swiggy. A combo of Naan+Paneer lababdar and Naan+Paneer tikka masala was ordered. They messed up with the order and sent both sabji of tikka masala. To add to my agony, the sabji was so spicy that we couldn’t eat it at all. I feel that the restaurants are taking home delivery orders lightly as the customer cannot reach out to them directly.

Pros:
1. Ambience is OK

Cons:
1. Over rated restaurant.
2. Ordered Tangdi Kabab as starter:-
a) Quantity served was 3 pieces which was less for the amount paid.
b) The Kabab was tasteless and additionally burnt. We couldn't even feel salt in it.
We left the restaurant after the awful experience and tried another restaurant

Suggestion:
In case you serve less quantity, make sure that the food MUST taste good.
So that the customer should atleast feel that its a value for money deal.

Paya soup was not up to the mark. Nadur chips were slightly burnt. I'll call them nadur sticks not chips. karari roti was not worth 175. Murgh dum wazwan was nice n tasty. Ajwaini lacha was good but not the right combo for this chicken dish. Phirni was the winner. Very very yummy. It's a must . Staff is superb. Over all it's very costly place.

Normally the food is good and I am a repeat customer of this place. But, I have my doubts now that I got a cockroach in Dal tadka. I am not sure of the cleanliness in the kitchen.

Ambience and service both are great. Though food quality can get better.
We had ordered Lahori Murgh, in which number of chicken pieces were less. Also paneer lababdar was average.

We go back for kurkuri bhindi and starters.
Wish they had more options on wines. Paneer starters are specially delectable. Make sure you taste their naan-Sabzi combos. They have a good range of veggie dishes too.

the place is fantastic for north Indian and kashmiri food
Loved the food
Though veg food was not impressive but nonveg was quite good
Totally worth it
place where you would want to visit again definetly for nonveg
The place stood up to the name it has.

This place serves great butter chicken and tandoori chicken! Team it up with garlic naan and you are sorted. The starters are good too.

Try their kashmiri delicacies like lotus stem sabzi.
Ambience, service is good.
Cost wise it is decent too. Perfect for a family dinner or team luncheon. Situated on main nagar road high way, this place is also easy to locate.

If you want to eat close to authentic Kashmiri non veg and vegetarian food in pune then this is the only place you can and should visit. East some nadru churma and you would know how lotus stem taste like, its a seasonal item and is deep fried like patato fries. Rajma is also good along with Paneer makhni. Lovely food is word you should utter if you are a foodie after eating there.

Waste of money and time in this restuarant, nothing is good in this ,neither food nor staff.i visited in one weekend,we waited for 40 min to get our seat and after long wait ordered food with proper starter, main course and biryani.nothing we liked at that place,i visited there after reading reviews but i faced a bad experienced about food.crowd was good but we cannot end our hungry with good crowd when food is pathetic.staffs over there didnt have any courtsey or sequence of how to handle customer who are long wait, they dont even bother.customers do need to do follow up.will not recommend at all by my personal experience

I went this placed with my family and ordered cream of tomato soup and paneer achari in starter . Soup taste is ok but paneer achari is cold and tasteless. So my experience is very bad and left the place without having main course.

Been there earlier as well and we had loved it then. So we went for another visit, but disappointment is the word. Ordered soup and got it wid many floating insects. Drinking water has fungas kind of something floating. Food was just OK. Not happy!

Do not try the home delivery, the packaging is pathetic all the curry was spilt.
Details:
We had made bulk order on 4th July for lunch. This was their 2nd order of the lunch hour as identified by the bill number. We had ordered 17 items and bill was INR 3000+. What amazes me, they packed veg and non veg together and only a single delicate cloth bag was provided for the whole order. The starter container was flattened because of the weight of other items, the gravy packet got opened and was all spilled. None of the food items remained in serving condition let alone being presentable. Simple arrangement in 2 bags would have taken care of things, no value for customer’s money and casual management attitude will not help you in the long run.
