Its one of the best restaurant chains of India and lives upto its reputation. The Soup, starters, main course and dessert were all good. The location wise right in the heart of the city opposite JW Marriot and taste wise excellent so its really a good place.

One of the best places to try indo-Chinese cuisine 😊. We tried dumplings, soup, Hakka noodles and rice with vegetable coins, and desserts..everything was fresh and delicious 😊. Full marks for the service and ambiance. This restaurant is spacious. Everyone on staff was polite and knowledgeable. The staff recommendations are awesome 👏. We were there for almost 3 hours.. even though the restaurant was full the service was impeccable.. it made the dine-in experience worth it 😊.

Loved my lunch at Mainland China where I availed the Ten Course Set Lunch Menu deal! The appetisers especially gave a perfect start to the meal! Chicken & Veg steamed dimsums were the favourite part of the meal while the mains satisfied my tastebuds! This offer is perfect to enjoy the variety Mainland China has to offer! ♥️

So I recently visited Mainland China for their newly launched 10 course lunch set menu. They have a variety of options to choose from and this is how my experience was. The starters were extremely delicious. The Chicken Basil Dumplings & The Diced Chicken with assorted pepper were lip smacking. The main course had multiple options to choose from however I felt the choices were still limited. Though the Tsing Hoi Chicken & Vegetable Hakka noodels were flavorsome, I still preferred to have more options. For dessert, there was Honey Noodles, Chocolate Rolls & Vanilla Ice-cream. I'm not really a honey noodles fan but after eating this, I cannot say that ever again. I was blown away with how heavenly they were and it was sooo soooo fresh and crispy. The combination of vanilla ice-cream absolutely balanced the taste and the chocolate rolls too were delish. The staff were extremely kind, friendly and very helpful. Their courteous behaviour is appreciated. A special mention to Dilrash (hope I'm getting the name right) who was very cordial and was available for us throughout when needed. Overall I had a great time and enjoyed my experience. Would surely recommend trying their set lunch menu. Thankyou so much Mainland China for a fun-filled and delightful afternoon.

It was a wonderful experience at Mainland China beside JW Marriott and pavilion mall. Nice ambience, they are maintaining good hygiene, social distancing. Washroom, sanitizer, Parking facility is there. You can get veg, Non-veg, jain dish, Mocktail, Hard drinks here. From Monday to Thursday, Ten course lunch is available @Rs.575/- plus taxes. You can book your table through online/telephone and can order for take out. Tried Eight treasure sweet corn soup, Thai style dumplings, Egg & Chicken fried rice and Chicken in roasted garlic sauce. Services, Food quality & quantity are really good. Online/Card payment is accepted here.

Mainland China is one of the new age concept Chinese Restaurant chains of the Country. To put more delicately; Mainland China is on their way to be the PF Changs of India- a little tweak on the quality and they'll be almost there. Was here treating a friend of mine who was also my employee for a long time.- ordered main course:- Pan Fried Noodles with Prawns tossed in Soya Garlic- could have been a tad more crispy but delectable for sure. King Prawns tossed in smoked chilli sauce- it is smoky, lightly sweet notes and juicy prawns- wish there was more gravy! Fukien Crabmeat Fried rice to go with the Prawns Ambience is dainty and interiors are artfully done- some statues of the Chinese Mongol era adorn the front entrance. Service is sluggish.

Me, my family & my cousin’s family ate here. We had a good time and the service was great! We suggest this place as a restaurant you should go to and at least try.

Chinese cuisine is one of the popular cuisines in India and it has to be right and Mainland China does better than anyone else. We recently visited this outlet at SB road to taste their newly launched menu, I bet they won't let your tastebuds down. They had an amazing menu which included seafood, non-veg as well as veg delicacies. Taking interest in veg food is not what you see in chinese cuisines. But they have done a good job with their Veg menu. The goodies that we tried: 1)Steamed vegetable dumping sichuan style: The dumping was filled with loads of stir fried veggies that were a bit raw. The sauce was very soothing as the flavor of sichuan pepper was perfectly balanced in that brown sauce. The dumplings were perfectly steamed. 2)Stir fried water chestnut Hunan style: They are a very few who are able hit it off with such mouth watering ingredients. Among all the dishes we tried I just loved the water chestnuts. It was sweet and crispy tossed with some bell pepper, onions and red chillies. Make sure you give this your first priority. 3)Pan fried barbecued fish: The chef loves to play around with the ingredients and the choice of covering the white salmon with crispy layer of goodness was outstanding that leaves your taste buds wanting for more. It was sweet and spicy at the same time. It was tossed with sweet sauce with some garlic, spring onions and green chillies. 4)Malaysian curried prawns: Another appetizer that will leave you in disguise. The prawns was very soft and was cooked as they have to be. Malaysian curry was infused in the prawns which made them tastes better and the prawns was very juicy. 5)Mango mousse: It is very hard to get the original flavor of mango off-season. But here the case is not the same. You will get the original mango flavor rather than the fake one's. The mango was perfectly balanced neither too sweet not too pale. It was garnished with a topping of mango pulp and a mint leaf. Overall it was a nice experience. The service was good rather the food was outstanding. The new menu that they introduced was up to the mark. Definitely give a vist to Mainland China and give a try to their new menu.

Must visit if you want to try some really authentic Chinese food. It goes a little towards the expensive side but totally worth it. They have a limited menu which makes their food items really tasty and unique Do try their delicious chicken starters as well as their noodles. (anything you want as everything tastes good) My personal favorite is favorite is there Jasmine flavored fried rice as it has a very subtle flavor, a perfect balance of all the vegetables and a pure aroma of rice.

The restaurant is big and spacious, even the table and chair arrangements are well spaced out, so you never feel like it's crowded. The food is good, I love the starters here. When ordering main course, just make sure that the serving sizes is perfect for you, at times the big size can seem like a small size. The service is good. And this is located next to Pavillion Mall, Pantaloon mall and JW Marriot, so a good place to chill and do shopping top. The facility has a basement parking for 2 and 4 wheelers. Its a payed parking. They serve Sweet Bengal store sweets here too, which is just next to the restaurant.

Mainland China , one the best place in the city to have authentic Chinese & Pan Asian cuisine . The place is really one of the good to spend your time with amazing food & good - classy ambience with the pan asian food with proper taste & flavours which i personally loved . With their seating arrangements in wooden chair , couch & table is comfortable with bright table spot lights . We were here to try their Chinese New Year Menu 😋 . So let's explore the menu now . A) Parking available at the venue . B) Good place with classy ambience & good seating arrangements . C) Good quality food served here . D) Staff is sweet and polite here with helping nature for your queries and friendly about the selection . E) The place is amazing by it's all means & serving hapiness & authentic Chinese & Asian food !! Coming to what we had 😋 - 1. Moctail Spicy Guava - The amazing Refreshing mocktail that i love always , with its thick guava flavour & spicy - salty edges of glass makes it all hot & salty in taste , like you can feel the salty punch first but the spice at last which is damn amazing . 2. Japanese Pan Fried Mushroom Dimsums - Good cooked dimsums madeup of Mushroom stuffing , this panfried Dimsums with truffel oil , served with Salad . 3. Stir Fried Water-chestnuts in Hunan Style - Fresh Water Chestnuts in Hunan style . The fresh juicy water chestnuts in hot & bit spicy flavours made in veggies . This was damn true good & diffrent for me as i have never liked water chestnuts much , but this time i really loved them 4. Matchstick Potato with Truffel Oil - Potatoes fine chopped & made in truffle oil , with bit crisp & salty flavour . They were into fine thin slices so were too good with bit crisp & sorted flavours . 5. Fortune Clay Pot Vegetables - Veggies like Beans , Mushrooms , Haricot beans , Broccoli , Water-chestnuts etc . Made in Fortune Sauce , with soupy texture & rich with veggies made in fortune sauce that is made in house itself . 6.Celery & Chinese Cabbage Fried Rice - Accompanied this with Fortune Clay Pot Vegetables , white rice made in veggies like celery , cabbage , beans etc . Which tasted very good & good combination with clay pot vegetable . 7. Singaporean Style Fried Noodles with Scallions - Good & proper style Fried Noodles in celery & scallions . The flavourful noodles were really good also they tasted too good with Schezwan Sweet Spicy Chilly Sauce Served . 8. Coconut Dumpling - The hot coconut dumpling i.e grated wet coconut made in with the sugar & stuffed into the dumpling & cooked well , they tasted truely amazing with the caramel sauce over it which gave it amazing touch !! & Satisfied Desserts make your table fullfield . 9. Hot Chocolate Roll - The roll stuffed with fresh baked chocolate flavoured brownie with the Caramel sauce over . 10. Mango Mousse - The mousse made with Mango flavour which was quite good , the good texture & balanced sweetness madeit all perfect ! The place is really amazing !! All the way serving you good Chinese cuisine in authentic style ! Which you would love definitely , specially i loved the vareity in veg here . #thakyou #happychaiperson

The best food quality and ambience. We loved for Chinese food of this hotel. Chicken sour soup was awesome. The best experience to had dinner at this place. But we have to Book table and reservation as crowd. The main issue is we have to pay for our car parking and it's compulsory, this sould not be charged.
Mahi
I ordered chicken and egg fried rice and chicken in roast garlic sauce (which is not marked as spicy). Also added instruction "less spicy please". Received rice which were good but the gravy was extremely spicy even after specific request. I couldn't even eat it. A 500-600/- dish gone wasted. Ended up eating only rice. This is not expected from a reputed restaurant like Mainland China.

Visited this place a couple of times and I must say they know what hospitality means. A fine dine restaurant on Senapati Bapat road right opposite to JW Marriot.

Food- I ordered Braised Chicken in smoked chilly sauce and Toban fried rice with edmame beans and chicken. That was some fancy and delicious food. Fancy price and fancy names suit premium restaurants, what I admire most is the quality and exotic ingredients. Ohh, and not to forget the free pickles you get on placing the first order.

Ambience- Themed decor with silent music, large dining place, I would call it a fine dine restaurant.

Service-Very humble, trained to service, good knowledge about menu, customisations possible on humble requests .

Overall a fine dining experience.

Mainland China

I've been to MLC countless times and honestly the Asian food is good not the best ones I had or definitely not a place where I'll go every month.

Every single thing what I just said changed after my recent visit to MLC ICC branch. They launched a new menu and it was bomb. The taste and flavors of each and every dish was different and unique.

So without wasting time let's get started ....

Lung Fung Soup - Seafood broth with medium thin consistency which was good on the flavors too. Exotic seafood meat to give a nice seafood taste.

Dumplings - We had two types of dumplings , steamed Vegetable Dumplings Sichuan Style and pan fried Japanese mushroom and chicken dumplings. I don't know but MLC's dumplings have distinctive unique taste which you don't get anywhere else. The coating of both dumplings were medium thick and the filling was super juicy. I loved the both dumpling.

Stir fried water chestnuts Hunan style - Perfectly stir fried water chestnut glazing with Hunan sauce is treat for your palate. The Hunan sauce was mild tangy at start and spicy at the end. The crispy chestnut coating enters in mouth and the juicy inside texture just bursts in. Loved it .

Pan fried bbq fish - Fresh Rawas fried till perfection to give it a nice crisp texture and then it's tossed in sweetish tangy BBQ sauce is something you must want after having lots of dumplings with mild sauce.

Pickled Coriander chicken - The chicken chunks we're super huge and the sauce was stronger because as soon as it's arrived on table we had a strong aroma of tangy flavor. The pickled flavor were amazing and I never thought to adding these to the chicken which makes a beautiful combo.

Malyasian Curried Prawns - Another great appetizer to have here. Juicy prawns tossed into malyasian curry sauce. The glaze was dominant here which you can see in picture. The prawns had nice spicy yet tangy flavor of curry which tasted great.

Overall verdict - We even had outstanding mains and desserts but can't explain everything. Loved the experience here and definitely going to share this with each and everyone .
Chinmayi Reviews
When it's Chinese then it has to be Mainland China. A very popular restaurant chain with very consistent food quality all around. Be assured that you will get authentic Chinese food a this place.

Recently I visited there for their Special New Menu food showcase which they have launched a week ago. Well the new menu looks pretty interesting with variety of seafood, poultry and veg options as well. Interestingly I found many veg dishes in the menu which isn't always the case when it comes to Chinese food.

Starting with some appetizers and dimsums -

Dimsums :
Steamed vegetable dumplings Sichuan Style - A very prominent flavor of shichuan pepper in the broth. This broth was very flavorful but one let down was the poached vegetable dimpling in it. It was carrying a bit of raw flavor.
Pan fried Japanese Mushrooms and Chicken Dumplings - Minced chicken and shitake and button mushroom filling along with truffle oil and oyster sauce. This dumpling was a win.

Appetizers :

Stir fried water chestnut Hunan style - You double make sure that you do order these whenever you visit them. They were ultra-amazing. Stir fried crunchy water chestnuts with chillies and soy tasted too good.
Stir fired vegetables with five spices- Very bold flavors from the five spices, out of which black pepper and cinnamon was pretty prominent in taste. Exotic vegetables were tossed in soy and five spices. I believe the flavors should get a little mellowed down.
Pan Fried barbecue fish - Indian salmon batter coated and an fried till it got crispier and tossed in garlic and barbecue sauce.
Pickled coriander Chicken - Really nice pickled flavored chicken thigh pieces tossed in lots of garlic and chillies.
Malaysian curried prawns - Crispy batter fried prawns which had nice juiciness inside were tossed in sauce and topped with lots of curry leaves dust, gave it nice and fresh flavors.

Mains :

By the time mains arrived I was pretty much full still I did try a spoonful of each dish from mains. Highlight from that would be Lotus leaf wrapped rice with corn and almonds. This was plain rice with almond slices and corns yet as it was steamed wrapped in lotus leaf it was mild leafy flavor and this one tasted really good with Cantonese soy steamed fish (which was bhetki fish fillet marinated steamed and topped with flavorful soya), and those stir fried haricot beans. Those beans were cooked perfectly had nice crunch to it.

Singapore style fried noodles with beansprouts too was flavorful and tasted good with double spicy chengdu chicken which was hot and spicy chicken with sichuan sauce.

Soup:

Chicken Lung Fung Soup - A ginger coriander flavored soup with egg white foam. This had small cubes of carrot and chicken in it and tasted quite good. Quantity was huge.

That is all about the new menu. Talking about desserts which I had there were from their regular menu only which many of you would be familiar with.

Chocolate Dome
Chocolate Rolls
Coconut Caramel Custard
Mango Pudding
Sizzling Brownie
Rambutan with ice cream

All the mentioned desserts were absolutely spot on. Chocolate dome and rambutan with ice cream had nice theatrical effect. Sizzling brownie had nice caramelized flavor to it at the bottom. Mango pudding was creamy and had subtle flavors.

Talking about service, the staff is well trained and courteous and they do add on to your overall good dining experience. Staff does have knowledge about the menu.

I do got to know that they do have Power Lunch offer where it is listed 499/- per head which sounded pretty interesting to me and I hope that soon I will visit them for this one :)

Cheers !..

Final Verdict -
Food - 4/5
Service - 4.5/5
VFM - 4/5
Ambience - 4/5

So the other day I had dropped by here, one of the best Authentic Chinese restaurants in Pune.

As you enter the place, you'll find Chinese vibes all around. The decor, the artifacts, every small details is taken care of whivh will make you feel like you are nowhere but in Chaina.

Likewise, their menu has all the Chinese delicacies which is rare to find under a single roof.

Starting with the food I had ordered :

❤Matchsticks potato with truffle oil

As the name it self suggest, this dish has matchsticks size chopped potatoes tossed in trufgle oil and topped with finely chopped onions and herbs.

❤Pan Fried Mushrooms
Filling of finely chopped mushrooms pan tossed with herbs. It had suttle flavours and could easily melt in the mouth.

❤Singapore styled Fried Noodles
I'm not a fan of noodle but these were something I can have more often. Noodles were perfectly cooked. Properly maintained spice level.

❤Mango Pudding:
Smooth silky mango pudding served in cute little spoons. This desert is a must have here.

❤Rambutan
Rambutan is something I had for the first time and I just loved it. I was more excited to see the presentation of it. ( Recommended ❤️ )
3) Fortune clay pot vegetables : vegetables were cooked properly also loved the flavours which were not too spicy .
4) Singapore style fried noodles : Noodles were perfectly cooked which was having a bit of spicy taste
( Recommended ❤️)
5) Mangoe Pudding : well this was heart winning as it was having proper flavour of mangoe with perfect balance of sugar. ( Recommended ❤️)
.
Overall loved the place . Do give a try 💯

Recently I have been to Mainland China & it served me a perfect opportunity to experience authentic Chinese cuisine, especially when Chinese New Year celebrations were up.

The ambience here is excellent. There are various seating arrangements available.

We (my friends & I) started off with some drinks (mocktails) & they were on point. In starters we had Mushroom Dumplings first. They were simply amazing. Next up we ordered Water Chestnuts. These were stir fried water Chestnuts prepared in Hunan style. This dish too was delightful. Though I believe it could have been a bit better, than it was. Five Spice Chicken was the next dish & it was good. We had Lemongrass fish as our last starter dish & it was great.

Moving on to the main course, we started off with Fortune Clay Pot vegetables & then Sichuan Steamed fish with fresh coriander. Both of them were fine.

In desserts we had something different than the usual. It's called Rambutan. It's is an edible fruit & was served with Nitrogen Ice cream. It was a different experience to have it. Coconut Dumplings were next up & they were a sheer delight. The desserts were really fine.

The service was top notch & there was no lapse in it. The staff were on their toes to serve the delicious, authentic Chinese food. I recommend this place. 👍🏼

Scores (out of 5):

Food - 4.5
Service - 5
Ambience - 4

One of the best places for authentic chinese food in Pune. I am totally in love with the variety of chinese food that they offer. I tried :

DIMSUMS :

Japanese Panfried Mushroom Dimsums :
Yummy panfried mushroom dumplings with truffle oil. The taste of the truffle oil enhanced the flavour of the dimsums. Highly recommended 😍

Japanese Panfried Chicken & Mushroom Dimsums :
These were also delicious like the veg ones but even better with the nicely minced chicken in them. 🥟

STARTERS :

Stir Fried Water Chestnut In Hunan Style :
Water chestnut stir fried in tasty hunan sauce which was also having a crispy layer so it was so damn good. 😋

Matchstick Potato With Truffle Oil :
Finely made small potato sticks with truffle oil which was very flavoursome. 🥔

Five Spice Chicken :
Sapid flavours of different and secret 5 spices with a hint of cinnamon. The chicken was also well cooked. 💯

Lemongrass Fish :
Well steamed fish with an impactful yet delightful taste of lemongrass. Simply loved this. 😻

Malaysian Curried Prawns :
Flat prawns with malaysian curry but dry so it was something different and yummy. Could be less salty. 🍤

MAINCOURSE :

Fortune Clay Pot Vegetables :
Fresh veggies with water chestnuts made in a fortune sauce which is made in house. It is so good that you need to eat with an accompaniment. 🥬🌰

Stir Fried Haricot Beans With Chillies & Sesame :
A simple yet saporous flavour of chillies and sesame seeds. 🌶

Chicken With Celery & Wine :
A white translucent wine sauce with celery that went well with it. The chicken was also made very nicely. ❤️

Sichuan Steamed Fish With Fresh Coriander :
A very appetizing gravy with the aromatic flavour of coriander. This was so delectable. 😋

Celery & Chinese Cabbage Fried Rice :
This rice was very savory and delicious. It went complimented well with all the main course dishes. 🍚

Singapore Style Fried Noodles With Scallions :
This was having a very different and good taste. It was a delectable treat to the tastebuds. 🍝

DESSERTS :

Mango Mousse :
This was served very cutely in small servings. The taste of the mango was very refreshing. 🥭

Chocolate Cigar Rolls :
Crispy cigar rolls filled generously with chocolate. Absolutely loved this. 🤤

Rambutan Icecream :
Juicy rambutan with lush vanilla icecream. A very nice end to the meal. 🍦

Coconut & Honey Dumplings :
Sweet coconut filled dumplings drizzled with honey. 🍯

Overall I loved the food very much. It is very tempting and delicious. I would recommend this place for chinese food with a very pleasant and themed atmosphere. The staff is also very courteous. Do give this place a visit 💯❤️

Known for serving authentic Chinese food, Mainland China is quite a well known place. We visited them during the Chinese New Year for which they had curated a special menu.We had:Appetisers-1. Dumplings: We had the dumplings in both veg and non veg, both tasted delicious.2. Stir fried water chestnut Hunan style: the chestnuts were quite fresh and crispy, tasted good.3. Matchstick Potatoes with truffle oil: These were basically thin French fries. Tasted quite yummy and the truffle oil added a nice flavour.4. Five spice chicken: The best appetiser of the day for sure. The chicken was well cooked and the sauce tasted delicious.5. Lemongrass Fish: The seasoning was good but the fish could have been more fresh.6. Malaysian Curry Prawns: These are stir fried prawns with flavour of curry. Tasted really nice.Main Course:1. Fortune Clay Pot Vegetables: A mixture of veggies slow braised in soya sauce. This dish was delicious and the highlight was the lotus stem. Highly recommend.2. Tasted mild and was quite good.Rice & Noodles 1. Celery and Chinese cabbage stir fried rice: Tasted delicious and went very well with the main course dishes.2. Mainland China has always been a childhood favourite! Their crab soup, crackling spinach, water chestnuts and crispy corn have been a staple order whenever I visited them.
I managed to try out the Chinese New Year menu this time around and loved it!
The menu features many delicacies from the Southeast Asian countries. Started my meal with some MUSHROOM DUMPLINGS which were nothing short of amazing!
Another dish that caught my eye was the MALAYSIAN CURRIED PRAWNS. The prawns were cooked perfectly and I loved the taste of curry in which the prawns were cooked.
I was delighted to see some stir-fried WATER CHESTNUTS in the menu. Cooked in the Hunan style, they tasted a little different but delicious.
Another appetizer in this menu is the FIVE SPICE CHICKEN which is delicious. It's difficult to guess the five spices used while cooking the dish, but it gives a nice taste overall.
Among the main course dishes, I tried the FORTUNE CLAYPOT vegetables. Although it's a dish in itself, I had it with the SINGAPORE STYLE FRIED NOODLES and the combination turned out to be brilliant.
Now for my favourite part of the menu - the desserts! Ordered the RAMBUTAN with a dollop of icecream. The Rambutan is a tropical fruit which closely resembles a litchi and is served with nitrogen icecream here.
COCONUT DUMPLINGS! What can I say about this dish? It reminded me of ukadiche modak and I relished this dessert. I was happy to see the similarities between the Indian and Chinese cuisines.
Among the various festivals that keep happening at Mainland China, I loved the Chinese New Year menu and the various dishes that were featured in it. I hope you get a chance to try it too. If not, then the regular menu is always available. And it shall remain as popular as it had been since my childhood.

Mainland China is one of the iconic places in Pune serving you truly authentic Chinese cuisine. It is located quite close by my house, and I like to frequent it often. Recently I was here for the Chinese New Year Celebration, celebrating Year of the Rat.

Dimsums

Pan Fried Japanese Mushrooms and Mushroom Chicken Dimsums : These were melt in the mouth dumplings where the truffle oil made the dish absolutely delicious. 5/5

Appetizers

Stir Fried Water Chestnut Hunan Style : These were my favourite. I loved the crunchy taste of the water chestnuts in sweetish Hunan Sauce. 5/5. Strongly Recommended.

Matchstick Potates with Truffle Oil : These were similar to thin french fries topped with chopped onion and truffle oil. A fun take on french fries for sure. 4/5

Five Spice Chicken : I was in love with this chicken. It was well cooked and the sauce was outstanding. 5/5. Strongly recommended.

Lemongrass Fish : I am not a big seafood fan so I found the fish a bit smelly. But the lemongrass flavour was spot on.

Malaysian Curried Prawns : These had a taste similar to thai yellow curry. Thai food lovers will like.

Main Course :

Fortune Clay Pot Vegetables : These were a variety of veggies like water chestnut, edamame , mushrooms in a soothing sauce. The highlight of the dish was huge lotus stems which they import specially from Vietnam. Loved it to the bits. 5/5 . Strongly recommended.

Stir Fried Harricot Beans with Chillis and Sesame : These were nice and provided a delicious crunch to the meal. 4/5

Chicken with Celery and Wine : This dish was not very great to look at, but had a subtle flavour similar to creamy chicken soup. 3.5/5

Rice and Noodles

Celery and chinese cabbage stir fried rice : This was similar to fried rice and complemented the gravies well. 5/5. Strongly recommended.

Singapore Style fried noodles with scallions :
These were great and had lot of sprouts in it. 4/5

Desserts

Mango Pudding : This was my favourite dessert in the list. The taste of mango was fresh and it felt like summer season in a cute cup. 5/5

Chocolate Rolls : These were similar to spring rolls stuffed with brownie. I am not a big fan of fried desserts.3.5/5

Coconuts Dumplings : In a gist, Ukdiche Modak . 3/5

Rambutan with Coconut Icecream : The dish showcases some modern creativity with dry ice and is really cool to look at. Rambutans are fruits similar to a litchi, commonly found in Asian countries. The dessert was good but the icecream lacked the flavour of coconut and the rambutans could have been fresher. 3/5

Mainland China is the perfect place to enjoy amazing asian food with your friends and family. They offer a variety of asian cuisines and provide excellent hospitality.

I visited this place during their Chinese New Year celebration. I enjoyed the food here and would definitely recommend you to visit during such events as they have a good menu and some special dishes. I started my meal with some delicious and flavourful dumplings. Both the mushroom and chicken dumplings were well cooked. In appetizers, I really liked their Five Spice Chicken (it's boneless pieces of chicken, cooked in a delicious mix of spices). The Malaysian Curried Prawns were a unique find at this meal. It felt like I was eating a flavour packed prawns curry, but as an appetizer! I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys South East Asian flavours and seafood. The matchstick Potatoes were also a great appetizer and go really well with most drinks too. The clay pot vegetables and stir fried beans with celery and cabbage fried rice were my favourite combination for main course. The Singapore fried noodles were also a good dish, and tasted well even without an accompanying curry. I felt the chicken with celery and wine was good in terms of flavour, but the salt was overpowering for me. I also had the traditional Rambutan with ice cream and this is a must have dessert here! It is made with special lychees and vanilla ice cream. The presentation of this dessert is spectacular and it has a refreshing taste too.

Mainland China

Now a days people are divided into two chinese styles i.e. Street style VS Authentic chinese style. Ofcourse there are many people who are still confused in between authentic and street style chinese. Authentic chinese is the one which is presented in original or genuine form of Chinese.
Talking about an authentic chinese style then I'll blindly suggest you the only restaurant i.e. MAINLAND CHINA. Let's go to China...!
They have buffet as well as Al a carte menu. They have their lunch buffet from Monday to Friday which consists almost 4-6 starters, 7-8 mains, 2 soups and 8-9 desserts that also in pocket friendly price. For Sat and Sunday they have more menu.
Talking about their menu then it have a large variety which is enough to make you confused while ordering the food. I'll specially like to mention about the manager "Ujwal sir" who guided me perfectly for choosing the best dish according to my taste. He amazingly explained the dishes and it helped me lot to choose the best dish for me.
In starters I ordered Chicken with assorted pepper, Pan fried Asian chilli fish and Prawns hargao(dumplings).
In chicken with assorted pepper the chicken was perfectly marinated with the pepper and other spices which was a blast of flavour in the mouth. Pan fried Asian chilli fish was delicious, fish was fresh. Talking about dumplings then yummm... The outer skin was translucent and perfectly steamed. The sides soy, vinegar and spices were glowing the taste of the prawn hargao. Prawns were fresh. The starters were pleasant and satisfying.
In the mains Ujwal sir suggested me Japanese noodles and Braised chicken in smoked chilli sauce. Talking about Japanese noodles then they were made of wheat which is a plus point for a great taste. Noodles were perfectly fried with veggies and ginger garlic piece which was enhancing the flavour of the noodles. As they are moist hence you can also have it without any extra gravy. Since I had Braised chicken in smoked chilli sauce as gravy, I mixed it with Japanese noodles. Mmmm... the combination was just deliciously amazing.
At last the most likely part came i.e. dessert. I ordered a well-known and very famous dessert of Mainland China i.e. Rambutan with Ice-cream. The Rambutan's botanical name is Nephelium Lappaceum. Rambutan is very similar to Lychee but rich in creaminess and taste. The presentation of this dessert were unique as it was presented in a beaker containing dry ice in it, hence results into a magical fumes around the dessert. The combination of vanilla ice cream with Rambutan pieces is heavenly delicious. Creaminess of Rambutan and vanilla ice cream Awesome blended together in mouth which gives you an exquisite taste.
Talking about their service and hospitality then it's awesome. Everyone knows everything about their menu hence no any complaints about it. Just a little bit issue i.e. the costing of menu items, it seems to be little bit overpriced that's it nothing else.
Hungry for more...

Recently visited SB Road outlet to experience their Chinese New Year Menu. And I simply loved it.
Mainland China is famous for their authentic taste and Chinese New Year menu is Cherry on the top.
Everything was delicious and special mention for Veg Dumplings, they stuffed minced mushrooms inside it. Tasted amazing.

I highly recommend Mainland China to you all if you are looking for authentic Chinese food.

Mainlands chaina loosing its brand value day by day, very sad ambiance, and for ordering food - tab devices also not working. Dishes are not as per expectations.

The food was horrible & the service was even worse. There was hair in my food & the manager Mr.Sanjay did not even feel sorry for that & to top it all they put a heavy service charge to my bill. I’m really very very upset with the whole experience. Nowhere close to Mainland China standards. The Asian kitchen is so much better.

But the things not to miss are the dumplings and chocolate bomb!

Recently we happened to visit Mainland China for their special lunch buffet. The buffet is priced for 499/- Right from appetizers to desserts everything is worth it. The ambience is pretty basic. Staff is courteous and service is prompt.
To start with the feast, the buffet menu first brings you soup which is made up of eight ingredients hence the name eight treasure soup. A healthy option to go with. Next comes the appetizers- CRISPY VEGETABLES which was a crunchy side to munch on, then the DRUMS OF HEAVEN which was way too delish. I loved it! Dumplings were another level soft and delectable. In mains, one has many options to have. In dessert we had coconut rolls with ice cream, this dessert was something different we had lately. The combination was just super amazing. Every dish had the authentic taste to it. One should definitely try out their buffet if one is searching for authentic Chinese food. I'm definitely visiting this place again.

I visited with friends for a relaxed evening.
The charges are inflated with no exceptional service.
The worst part is their service charges- 10 percent, and these are compulsory!!!
So I paid 1000 on a bill of 10K. I wouldn't normally tip anyone a 1000 rupees for below average service.

The dumplings are yummy. The seafood soup is worth trying. The chicken main course we ordered was something new on their menu but was nothing extraordinary. The black pepper vegetables in the main course was nice

I was quite lot disappointed by this branch of mainland China.. I personally like mainland China branches of Bangalore and have been there many times.. after shifting to Pune visited this place to sooth my palate for Chinese craving but it wasn't good.. edamame momos with truffle oil were really bad tat I cudn finish even a piece.. but crispy corn chilli and ginger capsicum rice were tasty.. ambience-8/10, service-9/10, food-6.5/10, value for money-6/10

When it comes to Chinese/ Oriental style cuisine, Mainland China continues to amaze everyone, let alone me. I have eaten at dozens of Oriental restaurants, including those outside India, which gives me ample of confidence to conclude that Mainland China is definitely one of the best you can visit anywhere.

The authenticity of its dishes, the balance of flavors and Chinese sauces, combined with their top notch service, makes it a must visit restaurant for anyone.

There specialty nowadays is one pot dishes served in clay-pots. A plate of rice and another dish is sufficient for two.

While they have dishes in veg and non veg including Sizzling eggplant pot and Sanpei Chicken, my favorite is the Malaysian Fish curry.

The Malay Fish Curry closely resembles to the Goan fish curry, very creamy, coco-nutty and just a great texture to go with plain rice. Loved it.

I also love their cocktails, which is pleasing considering it is mainly a restaurant, including their beautifully crafted LIIT. Enough alcohol for a decent kick.

I would like to conclude by saying, MLC is surely my top 5 places for Chinese food in the city. You MUST visit it at least once to understand the joy of great food.

Cheers!

'Mainland China' is the first name which usually strikes in our mind whenever we think about Asian food as it is one of the oldest Asian food chains and well known for their food. Another reason why this place is famous because of their various food festivals they keep organizing. And just like that, I got to relish their on-going food festival named ' Clay-Pot Festival' where they are making and serving Asian delicacies in clay pot, just like those good old times.

They have a set menu for this festival. Not a problem if you are a vegetarian or non-vegetarian. They have got everything for everyone. Their menu includes Sichuan Vegetables in a clay pot, Sapo Vegetables, Three Cup Assorted Vegetables in a clay pot, Buddha’s delight in a casserole and Sizzling Eggplant. For non-veg, they have Shredded Duck with Mango in a Clay Pot, Chicken with Assorted Mushroom in a clay pot, Sanpei Chicken, Malaysian Fish Curry in a clay pot, King Prawns and Glass Noodles in Tou Chew Sauce and Lion’s Head in a casserole. You can have these dishes with Asian Greens clay pot rice or Chicken clay pot rice or Ginger noodles in a casserole.

I have tried few of their dishes from ‘Clay-Pot fest’ menu. Starting with drinks, I have tried their Red wine sangria which was classic sangria with punch of red wine and fruits. Coming on to food; in veg I started with ‘Sichuan Vegetables in a clay pot’ So Sichuan is a place in China and quite famous for the Sichuan food. The vegetables they have used in this dish were basically from Sichuan region. So, these vegetables were cooked in Chinese spices and has a savory taste. It wasn’t too thick nor too liquified and had perfect consistency. I had it with steamed rice, and it turned out to be good. Another vegetarian dish was ‘Buddha’s delight in a casserole’ which basically was soupy vegetables cooked along with tofu and had a mild taste. Being not a tofu person, I still liked this gravy.

In non-veg, I have had their ‘Sanpei Chicken’ which was really good. Succulent chicken pieces which were cooked in Sanpei sauce. Sanpei sauce made from black bean, soy sauce, vinegar majorly. It was then cooked with Red chilies, onion and garlic. It had a liquified gravy of dark reddish-brown color and was more on savory side. ‘Malaysian Fish Curry’ was another dish which totally blew my mind off. It was my favorite from the entire menu. The fish was cooked in coconut base gravy which was thick in consistency an had a mild taste. It literally tantalized my taste buds. With steamed rice, it tasted perfect.

Also, the essence of clay as everything was served in clay pot, can be felt in every dish. The aroma and the taste made it good. My experience with this festival was great. I enjoyed every dish to the core.

Ratings-

FOOD: 4/5

AMBIANCE: 4/5

SERVICE: 5/5

A festival you shouldn’t miss out. Thank you ’Mainland China’ 😊

Recently I visited MLC for their Clay Pot festival and boy it was rad. The festival was quite interesting as all the dishes were served in a beautiful clay pot. The arrangements done near the reception counter was brilliant. Bottles of sauces, Bok Choy, clay pots.

We started off with the 3 pepper in a claypot - A dish with 3 peppers (red yellow and black pepper) cooked in a semi gravy pattern served with steamed rice. The taste was nice. Very different because of the black pepper addition.

Sizzling Eggplant - Another gravy dish with lots of veggies like broccoli, bok choy, bell peppers and eggplant. This orange gravy dish had the sichuan sauce added which enhanced the taste.

Sanpai Chicken - Chicken cooked in a brown sauce. The chicken pieces were tender and the sauce had a well balanced flavor.

Lion's head in a Casserole - This was the highlight dish. Glass noodles and minced meat balls added to a brown mild spicy sauce with veggies served in a clay pot. The taste was outstanding and the meat balls were small and tender which made it easier to break and chew.

Instead of the steam rice we went for a plain basic fried rice so the gravies can leave out their real taste,

We also called for the house Mojito and a bottle of wine to go with the food.

There you have it. Our friday evening clay pot festival dinner was done. Ended with a sizzling brownie on the house :)

I must say this branch in particular is located at an amazing prime location in the city. The staff is well trained, the ambiance is super comfortable. Without a doubt the restaurant prioritizes on hygiene followed by everything else. A big shout out to the manager Mr. Mithun Paymode for managing the place so well. Truly a humble and a polite person who knows how to treat the customers.

We were 3 friends who had an amazing time at MLC. It was raining heavily outside and the clay pot fest food just made our day. We'll be back for another fest soon :)

Food - 5/5
Service and Staff - 5/5
Hygiene - 5/5
VFM - 4/5

This is a nice place to eat chinese food. The service provided was not up to the mark. Delayed attending and ignorance to customer due to zomato gold account was visible from their service. Preety disappointed with service, otherwise food was tasty.

I have always loved Mainland China. Recently made my way there again to experience the Clay Pot Festival - rich and traditional Asian flavors hot off the clay pot.
We tried the following delicacies along with a portion of Dimsum and Sushi (of course) between two of us out of all the varieties they had going. If only we could eat it all!
•Sizzling Eggplant - a great item if you’re fond of tangy tomato gravy and creamy eggplants!
•Sanpei Chicken - a little spicy but really nice aromatic flavors
•Malaysian Fish Curry in a Clay Pot - this was the best of the lot and my favorite! Amazing flavors of the curry and soft soft fish clubbed with steamed rice. A tad bit low on salt.
•King Prawns and Glass Noodles in Tau Chew Sauce - Huge Prawns cooked in something like a bean sauce with noodles.
•Basil flavored Chicken Dumplings - fresh and soft!
•Prawn Tempura Sushi - Always good!

I don’t want to forget the super delicious Mango Pudding we ate for dessert. It was a Sunday evening dinner and we expected a crowd, so we had a reservation. As always the food and service were impeccable. But the noise was horrendous. We couldn’t have any conversation at all. We practically ate in silence. I would avoid this restaurant on weekends.

It's that part of the year where I specially crave for good authentic Chinese food and yes I choose my favourite Mainland China.
Recently they started with Clay Pot Festival where the authentic dishes were served in clay pot.
So for all the vegetarians out there you must visit the place for these dishes,
1. Sizzling Eggplant:- I must say it is highly recommend dish. Earlier before tasting it I was like no and doubting it but I must say the eggplant tasted amazing. The smoky flavour was mind blowing and as eggplant was coated so it reduced the taste of actual eggplant which is nice.
2. Sichuan Vegetable:- So as I mentioned that it was served in clay pot with gravy and lots of veggies. When served with rice the taste was great.
Now the recommended non vegetarian dishes are:-
1. Malaysian fish curry:- I crave for non veg all day and if you bring this I am the happiest. Fish was soft and fresh. The coconut taste with fish is always a yes. It taste amazing all together.
2. King Prawns in tau chew sauce:- the dish had amazing gravy with well cooked prawns
In desserts we tried rambutan with vanilla ice cream and chocolate dome and mango pudding, out of three most recommended is rambutan for the taste of fruit with ice cream.
I had also tried their sushi range and it was amazing. Specially loved their spider sushi
When you crave for authentic Chinese cuisine, there are very few restaurants that have the ability to cater to your need. Mainland China is a place that wouldn't disappoint you!
I was here to try their clay pot festival and it was so good, trust me you won't be disappointed.

1. Sanpei Chicken- Sanpei chicken is a chicken gravy with an excessively delicate bit of chicken blended with garlic, spices and greens. It was incredible to bite it with rice as the mix gives you an alluring vibe.

2. Malaysian fish curry- It had mild spice, coconutty and comforting Malaysian fish curry. The fish was tender and blended well with curry. As we were having the curry with steam rice it enhanced the flavors.

3. King prawns in tau chew sauce- The sauce was sweet and tangy and went well with prawns.

4. Sizzling Eggplant- The eggplant were grilled and had a smoky flavor, and then cooked in a rich savory garlic sauce. This dish was very satisfying, served over rice. (highly recommended)

5. Buddha's delight in a casserole - Buddha’s delight is a classic Asian dish full of mixed vegetables and tofu in a savory sauce.

I also tried their sushi and I loved their Philadelphia sushi which was made with smoked salmon, cream cheese, and cucumber.
We ended the meal with desserts like the chocolate dome and Rambutan and icecream.

As we all are aware that when it comes to some genuine chinese there is no place better than Mainland China.

Now you have got one more valid reason to rush to this place as there are having the Clay Pot Festival going on this month . Not kidding but each and every thing is worth relishing and unique.

Here is what I had

Malaysian Fish curry - A piscivore like me craves for one and this coconut based curry preparation served in a clay pot was amazing.

Sizzling Eggplant - This one was out of the world . Couldn't believe that they served the eggplant. It was so delicious in taste that i highly recommend you the same.

Sanpei Chicken - One of the best that came on the table and which I hogged like crazy. A must have for you all.

Sichuan Vegetables - This one is a great option for the veggies.

Chicken with assorted mushrooms - Another lovely dish, mild on taste yet scrumptious.

We also tried the Spider and Philadelphia Sushi which were absolutely midblowing.

We ended the dinner with the very famous Chocolate dome and Rambutan Icecream

Attended the Claypot festival st Mainland China’s sprawling SB road outlet on a busy busy Friday night.

I had 3 dishes from the vegetarian menu and all of them turned out to be excellent.

We picked the no-fuss Steam rice to let the curry flavours speak.

The sizzling Eggplant was a pleasant surprise in a Sichuan base married with a bit of ketchup for a Hunan-like flavour.
The eggplant cooked really well , almost melt in the mouth consistency.

The Sichuan vegetables had a substantial zing to it and was cooked with veggies again. Pretty much similar to our usual Chinese fare. Would recommend street style Hakka noodles to go with this.

The Buddha’s delight in a Caserole was a showstopper!
A unique blends of cooked veggies in a terrific Soya base and flavours of Bamboo-shoot and topped with fine rice noodles.

Not a sushi expert but the vegetarian Sushi at Mainland China is impressive.
Both the Cream Cheese rolls as well as the Asparagus Tempura rolls got me salivating - really good stuff.

Stuffed to gills, the manager pushed us to try out their unique Palm Jagger ice cream, and thank god we did.lovely ice cream topped with dates and toasted almonds - quite a symphony!

The service is impeccable through and through. Thank you for a flawless meal experience!

Mainland China has their ClayPotfestival going on and I recently visited them to try their Vegetarian options .
I absolutely loved their authentic taste and the lovely presentation. Every dish was a delight to have and taste delicious.
My personal recommendations would be Sichuan Vegetable and Sizzling eggplant . They were absolutely mind-blowing.
The preparation of each dish was unique and different. We had them with plain boiled to get the perfect flavor and loved the combination.
Apart from this we had their Asparagus Sushi which was has my heart . I am not a sushi person but I loved it .
In desserts we tried the chocolate dome and lychees with icecream. They both were the best end to out meal .
Do go and try their ClayPotfestival dishes . They are worth a shot .

We recently visited Mainland China for their Claypot festival which will be going on till the month end. Although we were invited to try the dishes majorly from their Claypot Festival menu, we were also recommended a few of their classic dishes.

From the Claypot Festival Menu-

Sichuan Vegetables in a Clay Pot-
Like the name suggests, this pot had a Sichuan base and so was spicy. The veggies balanced out the spice but nonetheless it was a little spicy for my palate.

Buddhas delight in a Casserole-
Buddhas delight is a nice option for the vegetarians out there. The dish was not over spicy, had a Soya base and a subtle bamboo shoot flavour. There were a lot of veggies in this stew. It was topped with noodles. Went very well with the steamed rice we were having.

Sizzling Eggplant-
Now this one was a surprise. The pungent spices and sichuan which were the base of this dish surely uplifted the flavors of the otherwise boring eggplant.

Chicken with assorted Mushroom in a Clay Pot-
As a huge mushroom lover, I had to try this one. The dish consisted of a delicious assortment of button and shitake mushrooms and a sesame base which gave the dish its amazing flavor.

Sanpei Chicken-
This one was inspired by thai ingredients, was very flavorful and had small bits of ginger which lifted the taste.

Malaysian Fish Curry in a Clay Pot-
The fish was very fresh, the flavors were mild, the base was of coconut milk. The curry had subtle hints of curry leaves and spices. It was literally comfort food in a pot. It tastes best paired with steamed rice.

To end the meal, we had the Palm Jaggery Ice cream. An absolutely flavorful ice cream topped with roasted almonds and dates.

Apart from the claypot menu, we had the chicken dimsums, cream cheese sushi with cucumber, avocado and teriyaki and California rolls which were super delicious.

The service was good and the staff knew all the dishes very well.

Mainland China, the flag bearer of Asian & Chinese cuisine known for it's consistency (across India) never fails to impress with their quality standards.

Came to know about the Claypot festival (ON till the end of this month) and I was totally satisfied (yet again). The recipes curated for this claypot festival has specific Chinese recipes as old as 3000 years where the ingredients are cooked in claypots that gives that rustic flavor to the ingredients. This method of cooking gives a different level of treatment to the spices and leaves an amazing aroma.

Uniqueness of menu: 5/5
Staff awareness on menu: 5/5
Taste: 4/5
Starters: 3.5/5
Claypot Meals: 4/5
Mocktails: 4/5
Desserts: 5/5

Read on for the details and recommendations

We tried a couple of sushi rolls both from veg and non-veg section. The prawns dumplings were amazing! And the Cream cheese rolls were totally on point. We paired these with some mocktails and my pick was the watermelon and cilantro crush. Totally refreshing 😋

Now was the time to get our claypot menu started. We ordered the Sichuan vegetables in a clay pot, Buddha's delight in a casserole & the sizzling eggplant.

It was my first encounter with Buddha's delight and turned out really well. The bean thread noodles cooked in vegetable broth had some amazing sauteed carrots, shitake mushrooms & bamboo shoots with some cabbage and bok choy. The ingredients made this very attractive and taste was of course on point (it is on MLC menu).

The sizzling eggplant was my second best experience from the vegetarian department that evening. Grilled baby eggplants were grilled untill smoky and then cooked in classic garlic sauce. This was very well paired with rice and is a perfect meal on a rainy evening. Too good!!

The Sichuan veggies in clay pot is a classic Chinese veg meal with sauteed zucchini, broccoli and mushrooms cooked in Sichuan sauce. The claypot flavours were very well attached to it.

With that, we moved on to some non-vegetarian options and ordered Sanpei chicken, chicken with assorted mushrooms in claypot & Malaysian fish curry in claypot.

The Sanpei chicken is a stew like dish, made by cooking chicken in soy sauce, dark sweet soy and rice wine. This was high on flavors of thai basil & ginger-garlic duo and cooked in sesame oil. A total taste changer. We felt this should have been the last order as it cleansed the palate.

Chicken with assorted mushrooms was just ok. Felt like a repetition on that given evening because we had already tasted mushrooms.

The fish curry was served with rice and was amazing. If you're a fish lover, you can't miss this one. This has rich flavors of curry leaves in coconut base and went very well with warm steamed rice. The fish was cooked well and was too soft.

I also tried the Pina Colada with the mains and it was a little too sweet for my liking, but others really like it.

To end this whole affair, we went with the Palm Jaggery Icecream and oh boy, I have had nothing of this sort in my entire life. A big scoop of creamy Jaggery Icecream topped with crispy dates. Something to complete the Mainland China experience.

The ambiance at this place is quite nice/pleasant. Although, I did not like the food much here. It is honestly a bit hyped up in my opinion.

If you’re running a restaurant in a place like India, with the kind of expense one pays to come to y’all, i would expect the Air conditioning to work. Please fix your shit as the food is great but there’s no point heating myself up and feeling uncomfortable enough to not come again. Disappointed.

This is an all time favourite Restaurent chain. Service, food, ambience is all good.
They lack a valet parking though.
The place was under renovation when I visited. I’m excited for the makeover.

I’d definitely recommend this if your looking for fine dine Chinese food.

Ordered dimsums today and the basil dip was stale... the Sui mai was great but you should provide soy sauce too! always love their food otherwise... favourite place for Chinese!

The food was pretty sub standard. I went for the power lunch offer and it just seemed like they wanted to get done with cooking as soon as possible.
Wasnt the worst but definitely wont recommend the power lunch

The best Chinese starters I ever had. The best among all the starters is the Teriyaki Chicken ( It's a must try for all the non-veg lovers). Also Crispy Chicken with smoked chillies is one of the best. Sushis cannot be appealing for people who are trying it for the first time. And Sizzling brownie with ice cream was also a good choice of dessert I had.
Overall enjoyed the food taste and also was pleased by the ambience.
