Review Shizusan - Phoenix Market City, Pune - Pune

Avinash Kumar
Visited this place with my family having in mind to taste sushi for the first time. And it was delicious. The waiter also helped us to understand the dish and guided us how to approach to eat sushi. We didn’t know what to order so asked waiter to bring the best selling sushi dish over there. Apart from Sushi we also ordered Ramen and some Hakka noodles. They were delicious too. They provided a high chair for my little daughter so kind of kid friendly place.

Just delicious 😋 Shizusan serves best South-East Asian cuisine in very stylist way. We loved Chicken porch dumpling which comes with sauce. Veg delight ramen and chicken ramen are our usual order as just to take break from convention food. Will try some different options next time.

Ambience and service here is very good along with some delicious dishes. Veg sushies are must try. Phad thai noodles is really tasty. Ramen was meh!

We tried several dishes at this Asian restaurant. The Dynamite Shrimp Sushi was my favorite among all we sampled; it was simply delicious. On the other hand, the Rainbow Sushi didn't quite meet our expectations. We also ordered the Pulled Chicken Bao, which was quite good. It had a tangy and sweet sauce that added a delightful flavor to it. As for the Phad Thai noodles, they were enjoyable, but I wouldn't describe them as extraordinary. I must mention that the prices are on the higher side compared to other places

Really loved the dynamite sushi, poached chicken dimsums and tofu ramen. The dessert was okay decent. The service was good, staff were very polite and smart. Used swiggy one discounts too!

The staff at the restaurant were incredibly helpful in assisting me with my order selection. Every dish we ordered, including Salmon Sashimi, Rainbow Maki Sushi, Dynamite Shrimp Sushi, Prawn and Chive Dumpling, Hamachi Aburi Roll Sushi, Lamb Sui Mai Dumpling, Saffron Dimsum, and Coconut and Palm Jaggery Pudding, was exceptionally delicious. I've been avoiding sugar and desserts for the past 9 months, but I made an exception today for the Coconut and Palm Jaggery Pudding, and it was absolutely worth it. I'm willing to put in extra hours at the gym to savor that dessert again. If you visit Shizusan, I highly recommend trying anything on the menu, but don't miss out on the Coconut and Palm Jaggery Pudding for dessert. Eating it slowly with your eyes closed is an otherworldly experience, trust me. A big thank you to the Shizusan team! You've gained a devoted fan. ❤️

The atmosphere and food is really decent. And staff also very polite and prompt. We tried veg and non veg dumplings, prowns and fish sushi too. One mocktel and absolute vodka was giving the boost to the taste. Overall nice place for multiple Asian cuisines. Must try!

My recent dining experience at Shizusan in Phoenix Marketcity Pune was an absolute delight. From start to finish, every aspect of the meal was exceptional. I started with the spicy avocado tempura sushi, which was a unique and delightful fusion of flavors. The creamy avocado paired with the crispy tempura coating and a hint of spice made for a mouthwatering combination. For the main course, I tried the sticky rice with green beans and mushrooms, and it was a true umami explosion. The sticky rice was perfectly cooked and complemented by the earthy flavors of the mushrooms and the freshness of the green beans. It was a harmonious and comforting dish. However, the highlight of the evening was the coconut and palm jaggery pudding for dessert. This sweet treat was a heavenly indulgence. The creamy coconut flavor combined with the rich sweetness of palm jaggery was a match made in dessert heaven. The ambience at Shizusan was equally impressive. It was both aesthetic and cozy, creating a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. The decor and lighting added to the overall charm of the restaurant, making it an ideal place for a special dining experience. The attentive service provided by the staff added to the overall positive experience. They were knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations. In summary, Shizusan in Phoenix Marketcity Pune offers a culinary journey that is nothing short of spectacular. With its inventive dishes, delectable desserts, and inviting ambience, it's a must-visit for food enthusiasts looking to savor a memorable dining experience. I'll certainly be returning to explore more of their delightful offerings.

A Pan-Asian Paradise at Shizusan Shizusan, nestled within the lively ambiance of Phoenix Mall, Viman Nagar, Pune, unveils a breathtaking Pan-Asian culinary odyssey that swept me off my feet. From the moment I stepped inside, the restaurant's captivating aura transported me across the diverse landscape of Asia. The carefully curated decor and subtle Asian accents adorned the space, creating an immersive experience that set the stage for an unforgettable meal. The hospitality at Shizusan was unparalleled, with the attentive and knowledgeable staff embodying the spirit of Asian hospitality. They expertly guided us through the vast and intriguing menu, enhancing our Pan-Asian dining adventure. To commence this extraordinary gastronomic journey, I indulged in the Lemon Coriander Soup with Burnt Garlic, a delicately balanced broth that tantalized my taste buds with its zesty flavors. The Veg Dimsum, a medley of Edamame and petit pois infused with truffle oil, showcased the chef's mastery in creating intricate flavors that represented the essence of Asia. Each dim sum was an artwork on its own, reflecting the region's diverse culinary heritage. Quenching my thirst, the Thai Thai Orange Mocktail whisked me away to the tropics with its invigorating blend, while the Strawberry Basil Lemonade was a delightful fusion of sweet and tangy notes. For those seeking a classic taste, the Hoegarden beer added a touch of familiarity that effortlessly complemented the exotic dishes. As the centerpiece of the meal, the Veg Siracha Blush Sushi mesmerized with its harmonious blend of flavors and textures, a testament to Shizusan's innovative approach to Pan-Asian cuisine. The Veggie Delight Ramen, a comforting bowl of goodness, combined a rich broth with a variety of fresh vegetables, creating a symphony of flavors that captured the essence of Asian comfort food. In conclusion, Shizusan masterfully curates a Pan-Asian paradise that takes diners on an enchanting culinary sojourn through the rich tapestry of Asian flavors. While the ambiance sets the stage for an immersive experience, it's the impeccable service and captivating dishes that truly elevate this dining destination to new heights. I wholeheartedly recommend embarking on this Pan-Asian feast, savoring their creative sushi and refreshing mocktails for a remarkable and unforgettable dining experience. Shizusan, located in Phoenix MarketCity mall, offers an amazing dining experience 🍽️. You'll appreciate its convenient location 📍, and the comfortable seating options enhanced by premium silverware. We started with Edamame 🌱, followed by Vegetarian Ramen that was OUT OF THE WORLD 🌏! It might just be the best Ramen in the city 🍜. Along with a couple of delightful mocktails 🍹, the overall experience is something I highly recommend 😊.

I recently tried the Jajangmyeon noodles at Shizusan, and I must say, it was an okay experience. The dish had a different taste compared to what I'm used to, but it was still enjoyable. The quantity of noodles served was quite generous, so you definitely won't leave hungry. Now, onto the price. I have to admit, it was on the higher side. I felt like I could have gotten a similar dish elsewhere for a bit less. However, the ambience of the restaurant was really good. It had a pleasant atmosphere with cozy seating arrangements and lovely decor. It's a great place to hang out with friends or have a nice dinner date. The service at Shizusan was impressive. The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. They were knowledgeable about the menu and provided helpful recommendations. All in all, while the Jajangmyeon noodles were just okay and the prices were a bit high, the ambience and service at Shizusan made up for it. I would recommend giving it a try if you're looking for a trendy spot with good service.

Always a fail-safe dining experience when I'm craving something Asian. I wish they had a more expansive menu, but I wouldn't trade quality for quantity. Everything I've tried here is always done right

Nice place if you love Pan Asian food. Food quality was good but there is room for improvement. The ambience is nice too. This particular branch is very convenient because it is inside the Phoenix Market City Pune. So, you can shop and dine in at the same time.

Shizusan is a popular Asian restaurant located at Phoenix Market City in Pune. The restaurant offers a wide range of dishes from different Asian cuisines, including Chinese, Thai, and Japanese. The decor is modern and chic, with a warm ambiance that creates a cozy dining experience. The menu features a range of dishes, including sushi, dim sum, noodles, and stir-fry, and the portions are generous. The prices are a bit on the higher side, but the quality of food and presentation make it worth it. Service is fast and efficient, and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Overall, Shizusan is a great option for anyone looking for authentic Asian cuisine in Pune.
ABHISHEK RAVINDRAN
Awesome taste and the overall experience for your palate is amazing... This was the first place where i had tried Japanese and now after trying other options understood that shizusan is the best
Abhishek Bhargava
Arguably the only affordable Japanese cuisine place in the city. Value for money is rapidly coming down and sizes of Sushi servings is shrinking. Likely the impact of input costs but also at the cost of quality. Both food and/or pricing can surely undergo a rethink to better reflect patron expectations. Service is attentive and reasonably prompt. Tables get filled fast and on high Mall footfall days, there might be a significant wait time. They do take reservations but may not hold a table longer than 10 minutes of you're running late.

Ordered my favorite Asparagus Tempura and received it with a strand of hair not only in the sushi but also stuck to the cello tape of the soy box. This is not done and not expected from you guys! I’ve been a loyal customer for years but never again.

Please do better moving ahead.
Thank you.

I was a fan of the food from shizushan n was looking forward to the weekend to order from them like always. But the food was sooo bad in taste. I had ordered for two different types of noodles. Both tasted similar n really bad. The worst noodles i hv ever tasted. Didn't expect that from a restaurant like shizushan. Never ordering from them ever again
This is an online order review. I particularly liked the prawns thai green curry combined with oink oink rice. However I didn’t quite like the Chinese version of chicken pepper. The nasi Goreng was average.

However I have decided to go and try it in the restaurant itself for Japanese dishes.

Had a great experience here. Staff is courteous and warm. Food is good. In case you're new to Japanese food and are confused the staff can always help you. I went there on my wife's birthday and at my request they arranged for a pastry and candles. Would love to go again. Enjoyed my visit.

I went to Shizusan (beautiful place) last Friday.. this is the first time i tried Sushi. For the first time if we try something good at a perfect place lasts an impact for that place. This place has my heart💞
I tried veg and non veg sushi.
Asparagus tempura is a veg sushi (rarely found) and it was yummy 😍 for the first time experience of sushi i just love that at the first bite. Dynamite shrimp is a non veg sushi has shrimps in it as I'm not fond of shrimps but i had one bite and it was wow😍 and spicy.
Then i tried the bao. One vegetable Kung pao Bao and it was soft and spicy. Pulled chicken bao where bao was filled with the chicken chunks and it was tasty.
In Starters I had poached chicken and Gung pao potatoes and those potatoes is very scrumptious 💞
I tried the veg and non veg dimsum. I love the non veg dimsum alot. I won't recommend veg dimsums here.
In main course i had chilli chicken garlic noodles and it was yummy of all😍 as I'm the noodles lover😁
Finally we had some desserts in which i had Lychee and date wonton with vanilla ice cream that was really savage to the mouth. It was so crispy where you can feel crisp at each bite😍 at last I had blueberry and mango cheesecake where blueberry has my heart 💞
The place is really beautiful and amazing. For the amazing sushi and noodles you can go there whenever you're around phoenix ❣️😍

I paid 344 for prawn Vietnamese soup. See the soup quantity I’m speechless! How can a reputated restaurant make such mistake? There is literally no soup.
I’m a regular customer and I’m extremely disappointed.

Visited this place one fine Friday evening. Shizusan Offers Tasteful Balance of authentic Asian delicacies which includes Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai, Chinese and more. The menu is so interesting and extensive.Absolutely loved the seating arrangements and ambience which is quite pleasant with a Japanese vibe to it. Here is a glimpse of what I had tried:

▶Thai Thai and Strawberry Basil drinks. Thai Thai is the classic thai spiced lemonade. Both these refreshing drinks were good enough.

From the starters, we tried the Gung Bao Potatoes-This is basically a Indo-Chinese dish and a stir fry crispy combination of potatoes in sauces.

▶ Hot Garlic Pepper Chicken-This was delicious, aromatic and mild spicy.

Moving over, Asparagus Tempura Sushi and Dynamite Shrimp Sushi were a delight to the palate. It was fresh and savory, personally liked the dynamite shrimp sushi alot!.

From the dumplings had tried Poached Chicken and Water Chestnut & Scallion. Overall both the dumplings were unique & delicious filled with the best kind of ingredients. The Pulled Chicken Bao & Vegetable Kung Pao were mouth-watering treats.

From the main course , we choose to try Hot Stone Veg Rice and Chilli Garlic Chicken Noodles which we had along with Cashew Nut Chicken Gravy and Stir-fired Veggies in Butter Chilli Sauce. It was scrumptious and enjoyed every bite of it!

And finally the desserts! Both Lychee & Date Wonton and Cheesecake made a great impression. These desserts would surely tackle your sweet cravings.

Right from drinks to starters, to the mains and desserts what I had tasted, it was good enough. The price is a bit on the higher side but the food taste and the service provided is good. Had an amazing experience altogether. This is one of the must visit place when in Phoenix mall and would definitely recommend!

Happy Eating!Follow @yummydelightsdiary on Instagram

This place has always been my top listed restaurant. Be it any occasion or just in mood to eat some sushi i blindly walkin here. However unfortunately the new management is not keeping upto the mark. Such a beautiful place going down is really sad for me. Guys please pull it up again. I don't want to keep 2 star here for long time.

This place has amazing sushi! Their rainbow sushi is a must try for every sushi lover. It’s great place to have some authentic asian food. Kudos to the chef!
I would highly recommend this place for asian food. Their mocktail is great. I had some orange moctail ( i forgot the name) but it was really good and complimented our food well.

Amazing food with good quantity. The service is very nice and the staff recommendations helped us in choosing our order. They serve authentic food so one doesn't have to worry about the taste and flavour. Ambience is pleasant and food variety on the menu is great.

A nice place for people who are really into Asian cuisine.. The sushi rolls are a delight, especially because I didn't expect such a variety for vegetarians! It's delicious to the core! Also, the dimsums are yummy! Would definitely recommend !

I used to love this place and would probably rate them a 5, used to be the best place in Pune for Sushi. Last evening though was a totally different experience. The sushi’s ordered had very poor presentation, the rice was literally falling out, the taste was very very average ... asked for the Pork belly was. It available , asked for the babY robs, was again not available . However the biggest disappointment was the sushi and also the wasabi, didn’t pack a punch at all. Not sure whether this is due to a new chef, general complacency , or what however I do hope that they are able to bring back the earlier quality of food ...
We are regulars at Shizusan but were shocked with the behaviour of manager Deepak Mahajan. He was extremely rude and asked us to clean the table ourselves since we were requesting one soon. He of course made sure to get his point across by angrily asking "don't you understand" you have to wait for a table. Shocking that shizusan can hire such rude and unprofessional staff!

One of the best Asian cuisine place I have visited.Place is small but cozy.Had been there for lunch.
What we ordered:
Mocktails:
Lijito: This was a lemon based drink.was a bit spicy
Thai Thai: very nice drink.Orange juice and kafir lime leaves went really well hand in hand here
Food:
Waterchestnut and scullion dimsum: This was recommended by the staff and these were awesome.Beautiful presentation and awsome taste.
Chilli garlic noodles: very well prepared.Less oily with garlic and chilli flavours not overpowering.
Thai green curry with chicken: Authentic preparation.Well balanced flavours
Sticky rice: This was plain Jasmine rice.
Portions were big and it was too much food for two people.
Staff is courteous and make you comfortable. They helped us select dishes depending upon our taste. Will definitely visit again
The Hungry Chashmish
It would be an understatement to say that Shizusan is hands down one of our favourites for some Asian indulgence in Pune.

Visited on a quiet Sunday afternoon and decided to devour their impeccably delicious Edamame Dumpling which is definitely one of the best we’ve ever had. It’s moist, fresh and so mouth-watering that’ll it’ll be tough for you to contain yourself from ordering for another one.

We also tried their Veggie California Roll which again was a complete delight but we will not lie when we say that we have tasted/eaten better Sushi Rolls. However, we suggest you try their Mushroom Sushi - it’ll surely not disappoint you.

Though coz of my little appetite I couldn't try much of cuisine.
But i did went for Baos suggested by the staff with a glass of wine.
The staff here was really polite and helpful.
And the baos was delicious as well.
They were soft and fluffy with the stuffing on point, i added additional Soy sauce for more of tanginess.

Worth a visit.
Excellent service and delicious food. Yuzu chicken was perfectly cooked with the right balance of flavours. The laksa curry with sticky rice is a delight for taste buds. Must try.

Great food with excellent service. Their maki rolls are yum, the pho exquisite and we ordered the hainanese rice which was light, lovely and delicious. Eating here was a wonderful culinary experience, with the food being light and easy on the palette. The servers and staff are attentive and make good suggestions. I would definitely recommend giving this place a visit.

Good authentic Asian food. Service and ambience is also awesome. Couldn't think of any further improvement. Though lil heavy on pocket, Looking forward to visit again

Overpriced for the quality that it serves. Especially soup and sui Mai. Pork bao is way below average. The restaurant needs to step up it's dishes if it wants to command the prices that it charges

Food is good and authentic. The dimsums are awesome. The sushis are alright. I've always seem the place full so expect some waiting tone especially on weekends and holidays
Sherwin Gardner
The sushi and the dimsums were really amazing, the best sushi one can have in Pune 😍 and Shizusan is an amazing place with great service. Should have been a little more generous with the ‘ice cream’ in the honey noodles with ice cream. I totally recommend this place.
Wheresthyfood
Shizusan does mean hospitality in Japanese and the place justifies it's name. Staff is very welcoming, well trained and polite. Absolutely loved the outside seating arrangements although it was under maintenance and so we had dinner inside. inside, the ambience is neat and beautiful and of course has Japanese vibes.
We ordered two mocktails, loved them both. The food was delicious but you definitely need to have a pallet for Japanese. Overall enjoyed my visit.
Gooday2000
Ordered salmon sashimi, delivered non fresh ones. Really disappointed, they might not eat their products.
ShreeMohan Taparia
Very rarely I have given full stars for an Asian restaurant unless it has the right flavours in the food that they serve. The menu to start with is complete, right from Watermelon Salad, Raw papaya salad to Vegetarian Susie. Their main course food is good and filling as well. We tried a lot of food and didn't feel the bloating that you can normally get from eating food from Asian Restaurants.

The menu is a little pricey, but the quality that they are serving is worth the price. The only let down was the deserts menu. I think they should definitely work on that. Rest its a great place to go and make sure that you make your reservations on the weekend, or else you may have to wait due to the rush.

Want to try some authentic Asian food? Well then Shizusan is the place.

The moment you enter there, you are warmly welcomed. The ambience is designed perfectly to suit the Asian taste. The art pieces placed there also gives a great feel. Overall the ambience is so good that you stand anywhere, you will get good and happy vibes.

A very authentic Oriental Restaurant in Phoenix market city. It is one of the top places in pune serving some really tasty and authentic sushi in veg and non veg too. I just love the prawns served here..the food here is mouth watering delicious and also the mocktails are excellent in terms of quality and quantity. I also really loved the dimsums , huge fan of it. A must visit place if you are a japanese cuisine fan.

Tampur - Tempura is a Japanese dish usually consisting of seafood or vegetables that have been battered and deep fried. It was delicately crispy and also really tender from the inside.

Chicken Kaprow Satay - Spicy, with a mouthwatering balance of savory and sweet, Thai Chicken Kaprow is a quick stir-fry that will fill your taste buds with the hunger-inducing aromas caramelized garlic and holy basil. Piled high on a plate of jasmine rice with a fried egg on top, and you have yourself a plate of perfection.

Sweet And Spicy thai Crispy Lotus Stem - lotus root it is a root vegetable from India and China, used widely in Indian, Chinese and Japanese food. It was Lip-smacking delicious with athai styled sweet and spicy Honey Chilli Lotus Stem, perfect as a starter or appetizer, it gets done quickly too. You can count on it while waiting for your main course.

Poached Chicken Dumplings - Chicken dumplings is a dish that consists of a chicken cooked in water, with the resulting chicken broth being used to cook the dumplings by boiling. A dumpling—in this context—is a biscuit dough, which is a mixture of flour, shortening, and liquid (water, milk, buttermilk, or chicken stock). To be honest, I tried this for the first time in my life and boy it was amazing! Would definitely be going again soon for this thing.

Nasi goreng - literally means "fried rice". It is a rice dish with pieces of meat and vegetables added, typically spiced with kecap manis (sweet soy sauce), shallot, garlic, ground shrimp paste, tamarind and chilli. I loved every bite of this dish. Highly recommended from my side.

Cashewnut Chicken - This has to be one of my favourite wok dishes. A perfect mix of vegetables served freshly is whats important and most of the restaurants dont get it. But this place has got this just perfectly sorted. Kudos to them!

Mango cheese pastry - The fresh mango in this cheesecake makes it taste absolutely sensational. Also it melts the moment you place it in your moth. Just pure love.

Shizusan will always be special for me since this was the place where I learnt to love Sushi. They do brilliant versions with a huge variety for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. While they use imported and high end ingredients, they've also used a lot of mayo/cream cheese/tempura etc to ensure that the Indian palate relishes the sushi. If you're apprehensive to try sushi or have had unpleasant experiences with the same, I'd urge to try Shizusan. I've tried almost every vegetarian sushi here and each one is brilliant.
Shizusan also does a plethora of dimsums - the Edamame being my absolute favourite.
The 'Thai spiced lotus stem, basil & lemongrass' is a beautiful explosion of flavours and textures. We thoroughly enjoyed munching on this one.
The Gung boa potatoes are your potato wedges with a gorgeous charred crispness.
Both of these entrees are perfect accompaniments to your drinks. For mocktail lovers, I'd highly recommend the Thai Thai while cocktail lovers can opt for the Shanghai Lotus.
We ended the meal with the Mango cheese pastry which was quite nice, without being overly sweet or heavy. Peanut butter lovers should opt for their Peanut butter pie which is an old favourite of mine.
To sum up, if Pan-Asian cuisine is on your mind, definitely put Shizusan on the top of your list.
Awesome ambience with good food - basil and chilli shrimp is a show stealer
Liked the food very much went with friends. Good place to hangout with friends and family too.

Headed for a dinner date to Shizusan, Viman Nagar

Chicken Bao - Great to taste, perfectly steamed buns with delish chicken

Peach Ice Tea - Cool, sweet and refreshing

Tempura Platter - Good assortment of veggies but a tad bit oily for me

Steamed Fish - Perfectly steamed fish in a light soy-based broth. The flavour of lemon grass and galangal might be too strong for some palettes

Chicken Hot Stone Fried Rice - Simple, humble chicken fried rice. The hot stone doesn't really do much apart from being an eye pleaser

Herbed Chicken Wings - Strong taste of basil and dry chicken wings

Chicken Soup Dumpling - Soup in the dumpling was almost non-existant. The dumplings had been oversteamed and were stuck to the spoon. Broke as soon as touched but sad no soup was to be found

Wings and dumplings were a bummer, may be because we were one of the last customers to be served, but the rest was great!!

A very nice place to sushiiing around😄 They have amazing sushi menu. They have a Vietnamese dish called ‘Pho’ which we expected to be very delicious but it was averagely tasting. They can still authenticate it and improve the taste. The ambience was amazing. Over all good experience.

We’ve been actively looking for good sushi places in pune for the past few months now. Recently a friend suggested us to visit Shizusan in Viman Nagar. And oh mahn, we weren't disappointed at all.

We started off with a cocktail named Tamarind Sour which was a beautiful mixture of Whiskey and Tamarind juice. The flavour still lingers on our taste buds.

We moved on to the starters and tried some Sushi. We had the Asparagus Tampura and Rainbow Maki and both of them were delicious!! After the sushi came the Dim-Sums both veg and non-veg. The poached chicken dimsum was just perfect. It came with a gravy and a beautifully carved carrot Rose. We adore the fact that the chef had put extra efforts and energy to carve out such beautiful vegetables and the attention given to the details were simply commendable!

We later had the Thai lotus steam and Chicken Kaprow satay as appetisers. Both of them were lip smacking!

For mains we had the Nasi goreng which literally meaning "fried rice" with cashew nut chicken. Honestly we were pretty full by the starters and appetisers but we still had this because it was soo good!

Ended our lunch with a beautiful mango cheese pastry!

The service this place provides is impeccable! The attention to the details given while serving the dish was perfect . It’s a must visit place!

We recommend you try all the items we have mentioned in the review here.

- Team The Food Punch

Really like the spinach and prawn rolls and ebi sushi.
Also loved the hot and sour soup. Personally would have preferred is the salmon in Philadelphia roll was smoked instead of raw. Polite staff

Chicken soup dumplings and chicken pad Thai noodles at shizusan were amazing. Loved both the dishes. Dumplings were very soft and the outer covering was thin filled with delicious filling. #hangry_feaster

I had been to this place a month back and had the vietnamese pho. It was amazing. Quantity was great ... polite staff and nice ambiance. However today when I visited for the second time there has been a drastic change in the menu. The quantity has been reduced to half while still pretty expensive! The service felt slower. I simply wasn't all that satisfied this time.

Expensive and not worth...many items not available from the menu...should try other options like crazy noodles or even Chinese counter in food court

Had the gyoza, soup dumplings, chill garlic noodles and cashew chicken gravy. All of the dishes were yummy. However the soup dumplings by the time we ate had lost all the liquid so that was a little dissapointing. Had an orange juice mock tail that was interesting too. The ambience is decent, nothing great. But the food wins major points.

When I visited this place for the first time 2 years back. I was blown away and then I visited a month back. Must say that the food and service quality has significantly gone down. The restaurant wasn’t packed but there were guests coming in. We ordered soup, starters and main course. Other than the soups and dim sums. Rest was pretty average for the price. I hope they pull up.

From the photos and reviews it felt like this restaurant is all about its sushis. But I didn’t order any, and everything that I ordered was yummm. Noodles were well cooked and had the right flavour. The potatoes I ordered seemed a little burnt that might bother some, but I didn’t mind the burnt taste. Overall, good food and ambience. Also, a really cute menu card with a story-line.

I ordered for Thai Red Curry and Rice and I must say, it was amazing. I loved the taste, the environment inside the restaurant also the staff. Service was great, kudos to the presentation of food.
Must visit this place 👍

The go-to place for Japanese food in Pune. Has a great selection of Sushi to choose from. Impeccable hygiene, service and ambience. Will recommend to friends and family for sure.

Amazing Sushi served at this place. It is full of flavors, and the ginger pickle was really special served along side. The dumplings are good as well. The only problem was with the drinks. Only beer was being served at the time we went there. The ambience is good too and with a polite staff. In total, it was a good experience!!!

As someone who’s a big fan of typical Asian cuisine, Shizusan tops the list of one of my favourite places in Pune. My personal favourite is the California Salmon sushi roll. It’s made to real perfection. The wasabi had this tingling spicy flavour that floats through your mouth. I also love the beer battered calamari. The squid is cooked to the most apt degree of perfection. The baby back ribs are cooked so well, it’s all just perfect. Their chilli garlic noodles are a must try!
Shizusan has done a really wonderful job bringing authentic Japanese cuisine, next door!
I honestly have to go there if I’m in Phoenix! So if definitely recommend it to everyone!

Amazing carb sushi and chicken broth dumplings. Must visit and try these. The ambiance is amazing. It would be preferable to book a table in advance to avoid long waits on weekends

This Restaurant had been on my must visit list for quite long. It completely lives up to the hype. If you Like authentic Asian cuisine this is the right places to go to. We ordered the Philadelphia roll, Chicken soup dumplings and Pad Thai noodles. All the items we ordered tasted great. The soup dumplings didnt not have enough amount of soup. They were dry but the taste made up for the lack of soup.
The staff are very friendly and polite.
Definitely deserves multiple visits.

I was very keen to visit this place whenever I drop by Phoenix mall. One day we happen to decide to visit this place and was slightly disappointed that we had to wait for half an hour, but the best part was waiting for us when we went inside and intially we were offered some strawberry soda which was quite good. We ordered some fried lamb chops and dimsums. Honestly I loved their food and taste was very good. Then we went ahead by ordering some prawn noodles and Thai curry which was suggested by the waiter and lo i relished every bit of food I tasted. Easily the best place to try some Chinese and Thai food at one go. Ambience was great and so was the food. I wish there was alcohol since we wanted to try sake but unfortunately they had some issues on licensing the alcohol. But I'm fine, the next time you visit the mall. Just close you eyes and go ahead and I'm sure you can practise your chopstick skills as well :P

Nobody does Poached Chicken Dumplings like Shizusan! Love the Maki Rolls and Dumplings. My top pics - Poached Chicken Dumplings, Spinach Rolls, Gong Bao Potatos, Thai Spiced Lotus Stem, Dynamite Shrimp (😍). Mains and dessert are highly disappointing. Can be skipped.

This place is purely authentic Asian cusine. ..I would suggest this place to those who are fond of authentic chinese food not the indo chinese one becoz you won't get the spicieness as we have in our mind. Even the taste is also good. Nice place good and comfortable seating but little heavy on pockets ...I would have rated 5 but there is slow service or the service staff does not look after you . Should look after service.

A good place is always because of the good food ! Tried Prawn coriander Dimsums ! Tom Yum Soup , crispy squid ...✌🏻😍 It taste’s heaven ! Literally !!!!!! Must try this place !! I would’ve given 5 stars ,but the quantity over price upset’s a bit !

Brilliant food, awesome plating and well appointed interiors. Shishu San is the kind of place you would like to take your out of town guests to because it is undoubtedly the best Chinese restaurant in Pune. Everything we ordered was brilliant and mind blowing. Checks all the right boxes for me, definitely give it a shot

The Malaysian Laksa was superb–creamy and a great balance of flavours. The only disappointment was the wasabi that came with our sushi. It was a much milder, saucy version of the original.

It is one of the best places for sushi in Pune. The ambience is great and the service as well. Not very expensive but The chicken hot plate was the only disappointment. Rest everything was great.
