Review Kwality Restaurant - Pune

Sapna Katti
Any place that makes off the menu items on request goes into my favourites instantly. Kwality did that for us. That with good service, good ambience and great food is a fantastic combo. The soft wheat rotis were a great hit at our table. And it is right next to Kayani bakery in case you want to grab a packet of Shrewsbury biscuits on your way out :)

First of all, this restaurant has well known history that its India's first chain of restaurants opened in cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Surat, Pune and couple of other cities. You can find old pictures of famous personalities in 60's & 70's. The facade and interiors gave a nostalgic look, however I felt that it has past its prime. Staff here are very courteous and friendly. When I asked for their recommendations on my order, I got prompt response with good details which gave me confidence to try out Miloni Subzee and Lachcha Paratha. I found brown gravy well cooked and spice were perfectly blended with vegetables, nice aroma added to its taste. Paratha were soft and crispy. Although I was there for quick lunch and my purpose was well served, I am looking for my next visit for trying full course meal and desserts.

Although bit expensive. They serve good quality food and also very tasty one's. We had ordered some fish starters, mutton chop starters and also Chicken tandoori. All starters were very nice. Good ambience as well. They have a great history also. Overall Nice place to visit.

Went there late night to have a get together with friend. Ambience was amazing with a great background music being played continuously. Few photo frames are up there to show Pune has developed at a rapid pace and still growing. STAFF:- very co operative and well mannered. Attend to details is quite good. Overall a place to hangout again.

The restaurant very recently reopened after facing some issues earlier. They have come back strongly, with their meat preparations especially great. I would also recommend their unique Paan Ice-cream, for those who enjoy new experiences.

The ambiance is excellent, so are the folks serving you with their manner and their patience. The food is excellent - one of the few places where they really mean less hot when they ask if you want your food less hot. Great place in the middle of the town for a lovely evening.

Kwality is one of my all time favorite restaurant. I love visiting Kwality restaurant for sumptuous meal. My family and friends too like visiting Kwality restaurant. The ambience is good. The quality and quanity of the food is excellent. I like the interior work of the restaurant. Kwality is famous for their karari roti, butter chicken and kebabs. The dishes I have tried and liked are Karari roti, hummus and pita bread, paneer tikka, murgh malai tikka, seekh kebab, kwality special butter chicken, butter naan, kurkere bhindee, dal makhani, jeera rice and murgh chiliman biryani. Kwaility restaurant is must try restaurant!!!

Visited this restaurant after almost 22 year's with my better half. Requested the staff to serve us something light. Believe you me, the dal and panner vegetables with butter rotis was exceptionally well cooked. Thank you Kwality for maintaining the standards till date. Wishing you all success for the future.

Kwality restuarant losing it charm by self doing.because it has its own ego hasle like not giving salary on time.secondly the management doesnot bother on behaviour of staff. For example.i was working for this resturant. They not paid me for sept month.since i request the properiter to see in this but he has no time for this.i call to concern person mr xxx he says my salary on hold .what is your opinion on this people.pls think before u make your mind to venture in this restaurant ..i request management to pay my sept salary as soon as posible .
Chetan Pagnis
Kwality resturant has a name and its standards but now losing its charm because of it's doing not paying salary to staff on time . For real example my money I'd not paid. People think twice visiting kwality the service ultra slow and the behavior of people not good .it is real example. Sorry to hurt your feelings and your emotion.

I'm sorry to say that with lot of expectation I ordered Methi mutter malai & received a bowl of lot of of cream & some Green leaves sans any smell or taste of methi. Totally flavourless. I have my memories of childhood in 1960s when Quality was the Best restaurant in Pune. Please do not compromise. If you don't have methi in your stock you should have declined the order.

Please update if your bar is closed.. very misleading. The app shows full bar available. Atleast have a board outside. Otherwise the food is ok.

This place is supposedly open for the last 50 years but they have clearly not learned from their mistakes. We had an office team dinner for around 21 and nothing was up to the mark.<br/>1. Low staffing<br/>2. Bad quality food<br/>3. Extremely long wait time (our dinner took over an hour to be served and we were sitting idle till then).<br/>4. Drinking water not provided on a timely basis<br/>This is only to name a few.<br/>Worst experience ever!<br/>Visit this place at your own peril...

It’s sad that one of the most popular and loved places in Pune is going down to the drains like this.. Half of the items in the menu are not available.. the person who served us was least bothered. He was rude and arrogant. I wish the authorities do address the issues before it is too late..
007abhi1025
Kwality is good but the service is absolutely slow and give orders for main course while ordering starters as they take a looonnng time to cook. Valuable time does get wasted.

Unattended restaurant, no one to seat you, ordered for a fresh lime drink was been told the bartender is sick after seating ourselves in about 15 mins the restaurant manager comes with a menu, empty water goblets not been served water for 15 mins<br/>After all this being sarcastic with the waiter as aaj khana milega ya kal the waiter smirks and says aaj hi milega.<br/>The level of hospitality at a high risk guys.<br/>If u dont expect any hospitality kindly go to this restaurant<br/>We had 4 unattended tables walk out<br/>I and my husband being from the hospitality sector showed some empathy and kept seated laughing at the mad egoistic circus of established organisation <br/>Kwality since 1956 u better step up or u will end up being a dinosaur in today's competitive and challenging hospitality world

Though before you write a review, zomato tells you to be friendly and not rude. <br/><br/>However, dear Zomato colleagues , what do you do when you are made to wait for 20 minutes to get a menu. <br/><br/>Next - for mocktails we were flatly told , bartender is sick so we cannot make any mocktails. <br/><br/>Where are these old legacy restaurants heading to. <br/><br/>This is when the restaurant is empty.

This is the restaurant in camp with the best decor and interior inside. The place is also good for dinner with fam or dinner dates too.<br/>This place has a very very good ambience.

This restaurant is nice! You would never say this is if you’re outside. It looks like nothing from the outside. The decor inside is very welcoming. I love it.<br/><br/>The food is outstanding North Indian food! I was recommended this place by a close Punjabi friend of mine.<br/>They also have a very interesting paan ice cream which they call Paan Shotz. Must try if you’re ok with the taste of paan.<br/><br/>Service is really nice at this restaurant as well.<br/><br/>Overall I recommend this restaurant if you like North Indian food. This is one of the best!

#94 Kwality<br/><br/>Unfortunately Quality of Kwality has gone down. This is one of the oldest and best restaurant in Pune. Popular dish is butter chicken and garlic nan. I visited it couple of times.<br/><br/>Unfortunately this last month when I visited right from service till the taste of food was not at all satisfactory.<br/><br/>Tandoori Mushrooms: 🌟🌟🌟🌟<br/>This was really awesome and stuffing and marination was good. Taste was awesome. I would recommend this dish.<br/><br/>Butter Chicken: 🌟<br/>I had butter chicken from this place lot of times and all the times the taste was perfect, but not this time. The butter chicken was very spicy and it really spoiled the mood. Thumbs down for it.<br/><br/>Veg Biryani: 🌟<br/>It was more of ball of masala dumped in a rice and the taste was aweful. Thumbs down for it.<br/><br/>Service: 🌟<br/>Service was so slow when we arrived it took them 30 minutes to get the water and menu card. Some of the dishesh in chicken main course were not available.<br/><br/>Value for money: 🌟<br/>Generally it is really worth it to go, but this time it has raised lot of doubts whether to give it a shot or not.<br/><br/>Overall:<br/>Quantity: 🌟🌟🌟<br/>Quality: 🌟

Excellent taste... true North Indian taste, we had been today and ordered Haryali paneer tikka for starter... cooked in perfection , also had miloni subji.. it was awesome... value for money

Great place for mughlai and North Indian food. Courteous service and authentic cuisine. Mutton rara is one of their best offerings. Pricing is reasonable and the portions are good.

Found this place during our transit from Bund Garden to MG Road.  Since, we had some work at MG road, we thought of having lunch somewhere nearby and opted to have quick lunch here.<br/><br/>the restaurant has a standard clean ambiance with black and white photos hung across the wall giving a typical Parsi restaurant feeling. It seemed to be the hot spot for the elders who have been coming here with their friends group for a long time. After all, the place is here since 1956! It felt historic and I quite liked this vibe.<br/><br/>We ordered:<br/>Lasooni Dal Palak - Good Quantity, serves absolutely hot and very very tasty. the fries onions on the top gave little crispiness.<br/>Chur Chur Naan - I have been wanting to try this for quite some time and thought of ordering it. It is basically a mildly stuffed/flavoured naan broken into pieces accompanied with melted butter. It was soft, crispy and the mild flavours of fennel seeds and onion was going perfect with the dal.<br/>Roomali Roti<br/><br/>This quick stop left us by surprise with the lovely food and courteous staff making this place a must visit.<br/><br/>Follow me @bunsandbottles on Instagram for updates.

Not the Kwality i used to visit before.. Poor service and totally under staffed.. A frustrated captain and a appologetic director ( A sardar who was introduced as the director)

I wish there was a zero star , This is probably the worst restaurant in the entire pune...trust me everything here is bad , the chicken they served was dark brown in colour, why the he'll anyone would serve a chicken like that . Sorry kwality... u have the worst kwality of food
Srujan Topale
Ambience 3star, not much crowd so service was good, food : ordered fish finger was good, roganjosh bad not worth at all quality wise, quantity wise and pricewise. Rumali roti was not rumali at all. Not worth visiting and spending your precious time and money.

Well today finally I was able to visit Kwality @ East Street. I had longed to go the place, specially since so many of my friends had spoken so high about it. So after spending more than a decade in the city, I was finally able to match my time and hunger to go to this place. My 1st impression was, why so less crowd when the place is so good. Well, then I gave it a reason myself. Possibly, it's 1st of Jan, hence most patrons were still recovering from the night's blast. Same was the case with restaurant staff. Hardly any. Well, I reasoned it out and took our seat. Well, it seems same was the case in the kitchen and was run by support staff only. In the starters, Paneer was saur in the Chilly Paneer and in the main course, rice was only half cooked in the Mutton Biryani, or must I say, mutton pulao.<br/><br/>Well, I am not writing the place off yet. However, it seems the place was still serving the left overs of the previous party night. I will certainly give this place another try, though not sure how soon, before I cut this off from my list of place one must visit it he/she has a smacking tongue and appetite as I have. Hope the place also thinks of how they must keep up with the quality of food they have been always spoken about.

The place is good for family dinner or dinner with office colleagues. Food is also very good. Paneer Lavanglatta is their speciality and it’s too good. Staff is also very polite and assertive.
Thyme To Mango
Worst place to eat. Refrain from doing so. We ordered Cream of Tomato Soup, Dal makhani and Steam Rice. Dal makhani was extremely salty and garlicky. And the manager was least bothered about our concern. Disappointed.

We've been here for office party. Quite decent place, staffs are very courteous.<br/>Food quality is great, very fast service.<br/>I will definitely visit here again.<br/>Good place to be with friends and family.<br/>

I ordered 5 nos Mughlai chicken pocket parantha. It was full of 75% onions and rest small pieces of chicken from chicken Tikka. I have had this many times before. Did not expect it to be so bad. maybe the main chef had gone for Diwali holiday. If so they should not have accepted the order rather than service low standard food.
Deepak Kher
I had lunch today. A simple meal of Chatpata Chicken and garlic naan with fresh lime soda to begin with. The food was ok, although naans were a bit undercooked.<br/><br/>The restaurant has an old world feel with heavy chairs and tables obviously from decades if not more of yore. Comfortable, not crowded and quick service are the hallmarks. Enjoyable meal

Located in east street..right next to Kayani bakery. Very old restaurant apparently run now by the third generation. Started way back in 1960s. I liked their decor and it’s simplicity. <br/><br/>Service is ultra slow so they lost out on some points there . <br/>Food review : kwality butter chicken special <br/>Raan e Punjab Masala was good too but the pieces ought to have been more soft in texture. <br/>Malai kofta was very tasty too .

We visited this place on last Sunday at 3.28 pm. The staff was courteous enough to let us in (as the restaurant's lunch timing was over at 3.30 pm).<br/>I personally visited this place after almost 20 years, so was very excited about the visit.<br/>Order -<br/>Tomato Soup - This was a bit more tangy than expected, so we had to add a little bit of sugar which made it perfect. 3/5<br/>Chicken malai tikka - this was ordered based on the recommendation provided by the staff as we needed a bland starter for my kid. Tender chicken marinated in mild sauce perfectly char grilled. Good experience, but I felt the green chutney provided needed a little improvement. 4/5<br/>Chicken Tangdi Kabab - This came to us as a surprise as this was made in the same spices as the malai tikka. We were expecting it to be a little more spicy, but it was very bland. Chicken nevertheless was tender and juicy, and grilled to perfection. 4/5.<br/>Chicken Biryani - This was a big disappointment for us, as the Biryani never felt like a Biryani. It seemed more like Masala rice, added with some chicken. The Raita served made it edible. One more star (making the rating for this dish 3) because of the Raita. Special mention and thanks to the hospitality of the staff served us extra raita so that we could take a second serving, and finish the rest of Biryani. 3/5<br/><br/>Overall an average experience for this visit. Considering the fact that we visited at the end of the lunch session, I would like to visit again during the operating hours, and see if we have a better time.<br/><br/>Ambience - 3/5<br/>Food - 3/5<br/>Service /hospitality - 4/5<br/><br/>Overall - 3/5

Kwality is an old establishment! We would frequent this place back in the day. The food was ok and the staff too but we found the restaurant expensive. Haven't been there in a while and a visit is due.

Visited Kwality after long and while they have been making all efforts to service you well and provide comfort the food is way below average. Of all the dishes we ordered, Mutton Rogan Josh was the best of all, it’s worth ordering. The rest, Paneer and Chicken starters was really bad. Prawns cocktail comes actually in a cocktail glass and had cabbage, bland prawns and mayonnaise on the top - nothing great about it. The chicken main courses were also bad. In their quest to be different and good, they are deviating and their innovation is not at all good.
Life4Food
I have been a Kwality fan since very long, I recently visited the place on Saturday with bunch of my friends but this time this place let me down, food was not at all on expected line, a big table besides us was yelling like hulligans, it was complete chaos. I suggest the management of this legendary place to get back to its basic of serving a classy North Indian food, probably in doing so they should increase the price of the dishes, which I believe they deserve to do.
Atul Madhok
Restaurant did not confirm until you called them !
Poonam Bhatia
quality and taste is good but quantity is very less as per price
Faheem Mannat
Very bad<br/>Never gonna order from this piece of shitty kwality
Abhishek Dhoot
Worst customer service experienced today. I’ve been coming here since last 10 years but this was the worst service ever. Waited 45 mins for paneer shashlik and that wasn’t even warm.<br/>Later food order also wrongly served.<br/><br/>Pls ensure you are capable to service patrons before opening the restaurant. This spoils the age old hard earned name.
Maitreeyi
I loved the ambiance it’s morden with a touch of antique.<br/>The ‘kwality special butter chicken is a must have.<br/>Roti is a perfect mixture of crisp and soft.<br/>Definitely visiting again.

This place has recently opened up again after undergoing renovations. The interiors are almost like before and has a simple setting. It is completely air conditioned and has good amount of seating. I had visited this place on a sunday evening and the place was packed with people even waiting outside to be seated. I had reserved a table hence i was seated immediately. They have a number of waiters and the service was good. We ordered for Dal Tadka, Miloni Sabji, butter garlic naan, plain naan, khasta roti and masala papad. Everything tasted pretty good and the naan specially was really fluffy and soft. The papad was made of potato and i loved that a lot. They have improved from before but standard needs to be maintained.

Not very well service....too much time to deliver order..food quality was quite good and overall it's average...,..,,.............................

Visited this place after quite some time. <br/>Ordered karari roti and prawns cocktail which was quite yummy ! Especially prawns cocktail was something different!<br/>Ordered butter chicken and tawa sabji for main course. <br/>Butter chicken tasted a little sour. But still it was alright.<br/>And for dessert we ordered caramel custard which is a personal favourite!<br/>In the end they served us a complimentary paan shot. It had some paan icecream along with some paan leaves in it. It was really good to end a hearty meal!<br/>Service is like no other. Sweetest staff with a smile on their face every time they are communicating.<br/>Glad this place reopened ! Will always be one of my favourite :)
Samiksha
a nice family restaurant, simple decor and a very diverse menu, with my favorite dishes being their kadhai paneer, kurkure bhindi, chur-chur parantha  and kwality daal. One of the few restaurants where we either go in or order home, quite often.
Mudit Bhargava
Group Size - 6 people ( 4V + 2NV)<br/>Visit time- Saturday Lunch<br/>They re-opened recently after renovation work and currently done a soft-launch. So most of the items were not available which we asked for. <br/><br/>We had paneer shashlik which chef modified by presenting it with black olives as they didn’t have sun dried tomatoes. Nevertheless it tasted good but then quantity was very less just a bite each for 4 people. Again on the main course what we ordered was not available due to the ‘soft launch’ thus on server’s recommendation we had lavangwala paneer which was again great on taste with a hint of lavang(laung). We also ordered veg biryani but no accompaniments came with it like salan or mixed veg raita. We thus have to order raita additionally. But when we mentioned this to head server he said they serve it with raita. Nevertheless again the biryani tasted nice. <br/>The last hiccup they charged us for raita which we denied paying for and it was duly settled. <br/>Hope they have some improvements immediately. <br/>Will recommend as dishes were delicious. Other notables - Karari Roti and Pindi Chole.
Rishi Dawda
This is a great place to have kebabs ! Aromatic shorbas , delish Dal , crunchy rotis . Everything is made with fresh ingredients and so much love ! My personal favorite for having delicious Indian gourmet food !
The Food Hunter
Our friends invited us to eat here and it was amazing. Service is great and the food is even better. We had the butter chicken. I absolutely loved it. The quality is very fresh. Speaking of fresh the garlic Naan is just to die for. It comes out nice and hot ready to share. The chicken rara good as well. I can't wait to come back. Highly recommend.
Swati Varma
Been there with my family for a birthday dinner. We ordered a variety of stuff and most of them were nice. The mushrooms and chicken starter was good. However the soup was not that great and not hot enough. The one thing restaurant need to improvise upon is the service. The service was not upto the mark and the server was getting confused with order again and again.<br/>
Rhea Patranabis
I highly recommend the Malai murg lahori if you don't mind the sweet blend of Malai in your main course dish. I also ordered the sizzling brownie but it wasn't as impressive. All in all a good experience.
Siddheshwar Jadhav
I have visited this place but neva had a chance to review it. The place is an arena of historical arts and gives a pleasent feel from the moment you step in. Every wall has numourous historical pictorials displayed and the painting on the ceiling is the real eye candy. The service is above average, and the staff is suggestive and welcoming. The food is lip smacking and would completely satisfy your cravings for mughlai and north indian delicacies. The food though has its prices on the higher side so one should be ready to be paying a bit more then he/she expects plus the added taxes.Apart from that its definitely a place worth visiting. We ordered mirg mirchi kebab, and chicken lasooni kebab, for starters alond with murg nizami soup as starters and all were nice and yummy. The kebabs were nicely smoked with perfect flavour and adequately juicy. Then we ordered chicken hyderabadi, butter Kulcha , chicken chelman biryani and a compopolitian cocktail as main course. Everything was satisfying. Definitely try mutton rara, chicken hyderabadi, and chicken lasooni kebab. Would definitely visit the place many more times.
Santy Mathews
Had lunch at Kwality's after exactly 20 years. The interiors seem to have been redone a couple of years back and the ceiling painting is simply neat. <br/><br/>We ordered Mutton curry , Chicken curry and a basket of rotis. The food quality was good as it was last decade and the mutton curry yummy.<br/><br/>The pathetic fact was that we were asked to hurry up our lunch and we're literally packed off by 3:15 pm.( Ordered at 2:30pm , served by 3 pm)The waiters are used to siesta time...<br/><br/>Not a very customer friendly resturant that is for sure. No wonder there were only 3 tables occupied during lunch.

The overall ratings is based on the following Ambience 3/5<br/>Service 4.5/5<br/>Food 4/5<br/>Value 3/5<br/>Location 2.5/5<br/><br/>In total a place you must visit if given a choice wherein you are a foodie dying to experience and want change.

I visited this place for the first time yesterday (11th June 2017) as I had placed an order for takeaway. upon reaching the waiter handed me with hand written bill dated 10 June 2016. when I asked him to give me a printed bill with correct details, he changed the date to 11 June 2016. I asked him for printed bill correct bill, he was quite reluctant saying the computer is not working. Since i was firm that I wanted a proper printed bill, he took almost 15-20 minutes to get the same. By this time I was already disappointed but paid the bill and came back.<br/>Coming to the food I had ordered 'Papad Paneer ke sholey' which was just okay. the 'Paneer Makhani' was good, the gravy tasted somewhat like the 'Butter chicken' gravy. Chicken hyderabadi was way too oily. Overall below average food and pathethic service, all costed me approx 1100 rupees. Will I revisit this place after feeling cheated and for below avg food? A big 'NO'<br/> <br/>Kwality team, you need to seriously improve your QUALITY.
Amit Trivedi
The food is great and tasting very good well done.<br/>Service is great, friendly.<br/>we tried Chicken malai tikka, chicken rara and mutton korma and every item has amazing flavours and well cooked. <br/><br/>The Naan is well done warm and nice flavour.

Awesome fine dining place. Simply loved the place. Food was awesome - we ordered mushroom, dahi kabab, mirch ka salon, dal makhani and variety of breads. Apart from dahi kabab, I loved everything. 😊 Must visit place - go with your family/friends n njoy.<br/>P.S. Service is toooo slow but worth the wait 😎

Hotel which I like to go a peaceful environment, I think it is because of the priciy food is great and courteous staff a must place to visit on camp for moghlai cuisine.

This was the worst experience of our lives. There was no electricity and they claim they have a generator but they don't use it. Afterwards when they started the genset, they said that ac doesn't work on it. They were just trying to save money. All the lime slices had no juice in them. The waiters got whatever they wanted and not what we ordered. When questioned about anything they feign ignorance and play dumb. Alas the oldest heritage restaurant of pune has gone down the drain. The food also was so so not out of the world like before. I would not try this restaurant again till 2019. Thank you.
Ruturaj Chemburkar
Been to this place today afternoon.<br/>As it was recommended by my friend. As soon as we entered the restaurant it was warm coz the A/C was not working. There was a long table where all the ladies were seated may be for a group booking. We were made comfortable to a desired table. As it was lazy afternoon we went for main course directly. We ordered karari roomali roti which was good . For main course we had a paneer dish which the captain suggested and it was also good the roti was good but the naan was not up to the mark as it was burned from bottom. <br/>We were planning to go for rice or biryani but it was so hot inside where we were not comfortable and we asked the server that of possible you can turn the fan to our area but he was little scared of moving the fan as it was for the big table.<br/>So we just left the place <br/>A request to the owner of this property that in such situations please keep a guy at the entrance to inform about the air conditioner coz the person who wants to come to enjoy food should be aware

Pathetic experience. Had been regularly visiting this place, but on 30th April, 2017 the experience was totally unacceptable. The service was so bad, that every time we had to threaten to walk away to get the ordered food and drinks. And this was the case at every table around. And so was the quality of food. The chicken banjara kebab was un-cooked and the kurkuri bhindi can be best described as bhindi pakoda.<br/><br/>Have decided to black list this restaurant and have already striked it off my list was acceptable restaurants.
Nidhi
Hands down one of the best North Indian food in the city. You cannot beat both the quality and quantity of food you get here, or even compare it to other fine dining establishments.<br/>If you want to experience what real North Indian food is all about, this is it!
Deepkiran Cheema
The food is delicious. The seating is nice. Total value for money. The service is good. The managers and other staff are super friendly. Valet parking available. The area is clean. All the dishes are amazing. I'm a North Indian and very critical about rating, but I have been to this place like 20 times since the time i have shifted to Pune and not even once it has disappointed me.

Had always wanted to visit this place as it mentions 'since 1956' as its tag line. Was a little wary as it looks pretty secluded from outside. However I finally visited the place today with my wife and the ambience inside is amazing. Coming to the food, we ordered Karari roti, Coach, mix Veg Raita and chicken biryani. Food was good along with courteous service. The menu is a bit pricey though. But overall a good experience. <br/>Tip: Don't go by the looks from outside, this is not at all a shady place.

Perfect place at E street. Ambiance is pretty good.Nice welcome by Staffs.Service good too.Now coming to a main part.Thats food. <br/>We ordered Kalmi Kebab ,Chicken Satey ,Garlic Naan ,Mutton Biriyanu and Lassi. <br/>Kalmi Kebab was juicy, nicely cooked <br/>Staey was ok ok test .<br/>Garlic Nan was champion <br/>Mutton biriyani was good .I liked it <br/>Lassi was made customised. As we wanted they mad on that way.<br/>Special thanks to Captain Chetan and Tirupati to take care us.<br/>Ambiance 4/5<br/>Service 5/5<br/>Food 4.5/5<br/>Look forward to visit again for main course dishes. <br/>Thank you to entire team

This place is at a perfect place. The East Street. Ambience is pretty good enough. Service is good too. Coming to the most important point:The Taste. It's amazing. The food lives up to the restaurant's name-quality. The food takes some time to be served but it's worth the wait. We, as a family, were not quite in a mood for heavy lunch so just 1 murgh mirchi kebab, a paneer kadhai and 4 naans. Quantity was sufficient. Just my one complaint is that it is overpriced even without the tax. But the food makes you forget about the price leaving you with a memorable good food experience.
Sesa
Just loved the butter chicken. It was full of cream. Very royally prepared. Butter Roti was one of the best I ever had. The ambience is superbly rich. But the rates are on very higher side.
Tejas Mahajan
I had visited this restaurant with my family last week and many times in the past. In a nutshell it serves delicious authentic Punjabi Cuisine , I would recommend Karari Roti (Starter) , Chicken Banjara Kebab, Paneer Lavanglatta are a Must try!<br/>They need to improve on service as we found it extremely slow.

Finally visited the most heard about place in camp.<br/>Seating is a cozy one,a place to visit with family.<br/>Gaarlic Naan with Chicken Boti Curry was the best of the lot we tasted, also the pineapple raita was by far the best i had.<br/>Would suggest them to improve on their iced tea and kwality special daal.<br/>Overall a good experience as a whole.

Place is good ambience is good. We got a table in the centre which is not a good place. I went there with friends who were visiting from outside of pune. We couldn't talk much as the noise was echoing and had to change place and take corner table. <br/>Food is average but prices are high, you've other good options available just nearby.

Kwality has had its ups and downs in terms of consistency over the last years but their Butter Chicken and Dahi Palak Kebab is outstanding! Overall service and ambience is acceptable.<br/><br/>Edit: Went back a few weeks ago and tried the dishes mentioned above and was so disappointed.

One of the oldest restaurant in the city..good ambience and service as well.. though prices on the higher side ,food is good. We ordered Karari roti( must try, light as a khakra similar to masala papad, tastes quite nice ) , lasuni tikka was good too., And bati chicken( was average). Overall it was a great experience and a lovely evening.

We went to Kwality on New Years day. They had a abridged version of their menu for Christmas and New Year season. Not much of a choice to begin with we decided to stick to basic choices from the menu. We did not order appetisers and went straight for the mains.. While Mutton Roganjosh was the pick of the dishes the Hyderabadi chicken was extremely spicy and oily. The vegetarian maincourse of Paneer Mutter and Dal Makhni were very average. The restaurant can get quite noisy on a weekend when there is full occupancy. Overall a decent place only for its location. If you a discerning north Indian cuisine lover then Kwality doesn't make the cut.

Very sad to see one of my favourite restaurant in this shape, upholstery of the sofa is torn badly & they have covered the same with napkins. Cockroaches roaming around ! I can't even imagine this restaurant to be in this shape & I am feeling really sad ! Hospitality level has also gone down drastically !

Ordered masala papad and chicken biryani. Masala papad wasn't very good. The onion amd tomato masala on the top was too salty. The biryani was amazing. The chicken was so soft and tender, it was just melting in the mouth. Hope to try more variety sometime later.

So We were having a show at 4:00pm in victory theater and had decided to go on our lunch at bagban ,but as there was a lot of waiting time we decided to go to kwality (as we had our movie in next half hour),So we finally made to this place with no plans ,now starting off with the service ,we were waiting there for 5 minutes and i was keep on telling the waiters to send someone to serve but no one came until i got angry and spoke to the manager, so now the captain was there to take order and we just asked him for the best dish on menu which could be served up quick and he recommended chicken rara ,and was telling us to even try their pompret which he was like he will serve quick and was their speciality, on denying he was asking again so without checking the menu we thought of trying it ,food comes as promised in 10 minutes and the fish was really delicious but was a small one ,and the main course was also very delicious ,now comes the main point thats the bill ,which was a shocker to me as i hadnt ordered much so i expected it to be around 1000-1200 but it turned out to be 1900 out of which the fish only costly 900 (i mean i spent 900 bucks for 4 small pieces of fish) that is when i realised why the captain was forcing me as on their menu this would be the most expensive dish ,i could have had a mutton raan or a full platter at this amount . By and large this place was a nice place to visit if high on pocket and ready to spend some time without anyone attending as food was nice but as compared to the price we spent it was not.

Had gone to this place in Nov 2016 for a casual family dinner. Had chosen this place because I had heard a lot about it. But unfortunately the place did not live up to our expectations. Starting with the sitting area to the service, everything was below par. The only saving grace was the palatable food but even that was not that great. <br/><br/>The captain had no clue about the constituents of the dishes we asked. He was just interested in recommending the most expensive dishes on the menu irrespective of whether we wanted it or not. We practically had to tell him to stop giving us suggestions. Next came the service, it was below par at best. Even though the restaurant was almost half empty, they took a good 20-25 minutes to serve our starters. Even in the main course they made a lot of goof ups. I had ordered a Rumali roti which failed to arrive with the rest of the items and I had to wait another 10 minutes for the same. By the time it came the rest of the food had gone cold and killed the whole fun. I am not writing much about the food because there was nothing which you can't get elsewhere in any decent restaurant. Even the selection is not much to rave about, the dishes are far and few in between.<br/><br/>Zainab Madawala <br/><br/>If you must go to this place, stick to the tried and tested dishes and do not experiment much unless you are in a mood to be disappointed.<br/><br/>One last tip, do not sit in the inside part of the restaurant, stick to the main area. The inside part is smoke filled, under lit and the sofas are literally torn; just covered casually with napkins.

I was really excitedto go to thisplace but i think it was a bad day for me as the food i ordered was not that tasty as expected !!! Biryani was heavily spiced there were more spices than the actual flavour and kebabs wre dry !!!

I adore this place. Lovely ambience and probably the best fine dine for me in Pune. The paneer dishes are outstanding..My favorite being the Paneer Tikka. The prices are on the higher side but worth every penny.

Went with my family which includes a baby.. We were made to change 3 tables after settling down at each table bcuz they always had a bigger party who wanted to sit in our place.. Finally we settled down n wen we ate the crazy papadum which was good we that the night is gonna end well.. But then the food wasn't that great.. service was slow.. Ordered the pomphret curry which wasn't that great and we found a BEETLE in the curry.. We ended up paying 4k for bad food n bad ambience.. This place sucks.. The only high point being my family being with me :) PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE!!

I had come here with my best friends for dinner on a late Monday evening. The restaurant on the inside isn't too big but it looks elegant with the kind if decor and ambience they have. Their menu has a lot to choose from and the captain was a little too suggestive with the choice of dishes.<br/><br/>So, we finally ordered a serving of veg and chicken seekh kebabs for starters. The order came in time and was served nicely. The kebabs were nice and flavorful. Next, we had bati chicken with rotis, naans and chur chur parantha. The bati chicken was quite good and so were the breads. Although, the chur chur parantha did not appeal much to me after being recommended by the captain. But it tasted okay.<br/><br/>Now, the prices here are definitely on the higher side considering the quantity you get on your plate. But, the food, the service and the ambience really makes up for it which makes Kwality a quality restaurant to have a meal with your group.

Been here many moons ago and the place is the same. Food quality is also good. Worth going with family for lunches and dinners. They could do with more variety in their menu though and keep some specialties in main course and desserts.
Milind Bade
Extremely dissapointed with the food and the service. Had @ordered chicken adraki as a starter and had to return it as it was not cooked properly. And surprisingly it still was charged in the bill. I guess customer satisfaction is an unknown term for them. Highly avoidable

In the middle of the camp area, name Kwality... I think those are the two things that this place has. Have had quite a few great experiences here, but I guess things have changed. The waiters couldnt even get me a sweet lime soda in like 45 minutes. Most of them were wagging around a table of foreigners. Most pathetic service in camp area...
Avipsa
Well to begin with, a place so legendary as Kwality is expected to deliver a decent service. The food is good however, unnecessary delay in service is a big turn off. The taste of the food isn't that great to ignore the slow n callous service. They should seriously employ a couple of more waiters if they want to survive in the market.

Had food today, very bad quality of food, half cooked roomali roti, butter chicken under cooked, bati chicken very bad in taste. Starters quality also was bad.

This restaurant rises to your epxectations when you take your loved ones for a fine dinning experience. It is superb place complete with tasty food, lovely ambience, and welcoming staff. We were looked after so well! Karari roti is a must!

Been here. Quiet an expensive place. The environment in this place is good. I ordered some chicken curry which was nice. They gave complementary pan ice cream to us.

So another place which was on my bookmarks for a long time. Esablished in 1956 and still doing well in the business means definitely this restaurant has something unique to offer to its patrons. The ambience is great with egyptian sculptures all around on the wall and the unique dome. Food was good except for of the main course (Paneer Tikka Masala). The starters were really good. Worth another visit.

Had the worst restaurant experience in pune ever. Ordered a Mutton Shikandari Ran today.<br/>Was seven with a plate full of bones baked in a Tandoor !!<br/>The supervisor tried to argue that ran is made in a tandoor and is actually bones only!!<br/>Have been visiting Kwality since 16 years!<br/>My last visit ever today <br/>Will never ever visit this place again<br/>SAD !! a place which once served the best food in Camp has gone to dogs !!<br/>To top it all mice running behind wall panels !!!
Himani - The Food Amante
Kwality stands true to each seven letters of its name ! <br/><br/>I have been here twice and both the times I didn't find any chance to complain about either food or their service. It's a medium sized restaurant, with the iconic blue dazzling lights ! This place is mostly filled with family. <br/><br/>Coming to food -> They serve lip smacking starters, both veg and non-veg. Veg kebabs, appropriately spiced and served smokin hot! Chicken tandoori, makes you swipe the plate clean ! Main course, not bad too. Desserts are yumm !!! <br/><br/>Staff -> Decent. But you do have to try hard to get their attention sometimes, during rush hours. <br/>Price -> Me and my friends feel that it's a Pricey place, considering the food, ambiance and location. But I guess after all it's named 'Kwality' for some reason right ! ;) <br/><br/>Do visit and you won't be disappointed with food Kwality :)
Arjay Pramanik
Always good to be here. The food is lipsmacking, the decor is warm and the service is quick. They do know their food and almost anything you order is made to perfection. The mutton here especially is delectable. You can give the biryani a skip but everything else is simply delicious. The cost equates the quantity, though not for starters (but thats everywhere). All in all, a delightful place to eat.

I agree the food and service is great here but they have a problem of bed bugs which is just unacceptable!!! Almost a year back, a friend of ours had the same experience and brought it to the attention of the person in charge but sadly, just a few days back when we decided to go there for dinner, we noticed these pests again!! Bed bugs are a serious menace and being such an iconic restaurant in one if the busiest parts of town, I think the restaurant owners need to do something about this. I'm sure no one wants to accidentally carry one of these pests home and experience an infestation. I hope the restaurant guys read this and take this issue seriously.

I always associate Kwality with family Sunday lunches and amazing food. It is etched in my childhood memories , the maa ki daal and the raan.<br/>Last night ( Wednesday 20th July 2016) I went to Kwality for a quick dinner. I was super excited about the place as it brought back some amazing memories.<br/>Not feeling very hungry, we decided to order one starter , and a main course chicken dish with rotis.<br/>We ordered Hummus and Pita bread. The Quantity and taste of the Hummus was amazing, but we were quite surprised to see just 6 extremely thin and crispy pita bread strips ( it was more like papad ). We ignored this and decided to order the main course dish .<br/>We ordered the Hyderabadi gravy chicken and some butter naans.<br/>The chicken arrived, it looked amazing and the gravy colour was rich brown ( looked amazing and smelt great) Now comes the bad parts..... The chicken was super rubbery , felt like I was eating chewing gum in gravy. Called the waiter ( the staff is extremely warm and welcoming) who took the dish away to get a replacement. <br/>10 minutes in , we got the replacement Hyderabadi chicken. <br/>This dish is supposed to be for two people. You will assume that it will roughly have atleast 4-5 pieces of chicken as you are paying a good price for it. But the dish had 3 tiny pieces of chicken. We called the waiter again and asked him how many pieces the dish should have, and he said 4 pieces. On telling him that there are only three pieces which I showed him , he said he will "check it out and inform the staff" <br/>5 mins in, we had to call another waiter to ask the same question and he said that only 3 pieces are served. <br/>I would like to tell the management of the Restraunt that the Quality of food has fallen very low and the quantity is extremely bad.<br/>You cannot serve 3 tiny pieces of chicken in gravy and say it's a dish for 2 people .<br/>It's my humble request that you improve on your food as you are one of the finest know restaurants in the city.

Have been to this place a long time back.Visited first time after they changed their decor. The Indian tandoori fare was excellent as usual.Kabab platter was good and so was the kwality murg makhani , however the dal makhani was not up to the mark. They need tp work on this to cone up to the standard of their remaining fare. They had a problem with their net connection so card payment was not possible ,we were asked to pay in cash. This was a surprise, that in this day and age they do not have a back up.

Long time have been in Pune but have not tried the legendary places it offered on East Street...<br/><br/>My East Street Food journey started with kayani bakery.. and we went to kwality..<br/><br/>The most appreciable thing about this place is the service & hospitality which is outstanding for a restaurant. They greet you warmly the manager is polite and explains you all the items which you ask inquire. .<br/><br/>Ambiance is also nice ... Now on to the food.. we started with Karari Roti which was roasted rumali roti with hint of oil and chilli powder quite Brilliant :)<br/><br/>We also had Hara bhara kebab which was quite soft and filling.. tasted quite nice. .<br/><br/>We straight away jumped to Jeera rice & Daal Kwality which Daal Makhani ...<br/><br/>Both of which were outstanding specially daal was perfect. .. Nice thick loaded with goodness of butter.. too good..<br/><br/>We ended with peach ice tea.. which was nice. . The place offers more options for non veg but veg options are also there .. in good numbers ..<br/><br/>All in all.. a great place to dine!!!<br/><br/>Final Verdict :<br/><br/>Food : 5/5<br/>Service : 5/5<br/>Ambiance : 4/5<br/>VFM : 4.5 / 5<br/><br/>Cheers. ... !!!

As the restaurant bore the name of the famous Kwality restaurant in Delhi, we decided to give it a try. The only thing I liked in all the items were the spiced onions they gave with the starters. Starters were too expensive for the quantity served. Coming to the main course, we ordered Paneer Makhani and rotis. The Paneer was also not at all up to the mark. <br/><br/>Service of this restaurant is one thing to be talked about. For each dish we ordered, they made us wait for atleast half an hour. Had we known earlier, we would have ordered all the items at the beginning itself! And the worse part is the food not being up to the mark after all that wait. So people, go here only if you have a lot of patience and time to spend.
Raj
Pathetic service and food was average. It took more than 30-mins for them to serve one simple dish of paneer and 10-mins to give a finger bowl 😡
Shounak Ganguly
The ambience is decent. Kebabs are good, though the seekh kabab left much to be desired. The shorba was mediocre. The butter chicken, for some reason, was a tad bitter. Their breads are good; soft and palatable. The waiters though! Quite confused amidst the customers' hullabaloo 😝

It is one of the most renowned and a legendary restaurant in pune me and friend of mine had been to this place were we ordered for chicken hydrabadi and boy it was just too good. The goan prawns curry it wasn't bad i mean it was an average. But the disappointing part is the service it is slow bt the food makes up for it. <br/>Rating- 4/5

We had a lovely dinner yesterday & apart from the ambience, what we enjoyed most was the Chaap Kheema Masala. Mind blowing stuff. It's nothing but tandoor roasted Chaap , pan tossed with mutton Kheema. Surprisingly the masala was just right, not too spicy & large portions, good enough for 3 persons. Couldn't say the same about Daal Lehsooni which was quite bland. Overall we had a good time. 👍👍👍

Kwality's turns 60 at East Street, Pune!<br/>It has maintained it's high standards and quality thru the years serving authentic Mughlai cuisine to be relished by your taste buds.<br/>Try their Stuffed Jalapeno Cheese Chilli, Dahi Anjeer ke Kabab, Thai Chicken Spring Rolls, Shish Taouk, Murg Banjara Kebab, Raan e Punjab, Lehsooni Tandoori Jhinga, Mutton Rogan Josh, Rara Mutton with Rumali roti, Missi roti........oh! the list of favourites is endless!!!!!!<br/>Highly recommended for a special outing.

this restaurant is located on the east street in camp next to kayani bakery<br/>the ambience is nice <br/>its the same place that is located in caunaught place in delhi since the last 30-40yrs or something<br/>but the taste is not the same as to that restaurant<br/>service is good but this place is over hyped (as the other kwality is really awesome )<br/>had butter chicken - ok in taste ...a little sweeter than normal<br/>paneer kadhai - paneer was good but quantity was small<br/>dal makhani - it was quite good <br/>overall <br/>ambience - 4/5<br/>food -3.5/5<br/>service 3.5 /5<br/>quality of food 3.5/5<br/><br/>its just that there are many places with same cuisine and better food and are cheaper

I had passed this restaurant multiple times but never visited it. N after coming out I found myself fortunate to have not been here before. Though the ambience is OK, I found the food expensive with no taste. Add to that poor service and the end product meant I will never go here again.<br/>As a courtesy of failing to deliver on service, they offered pan shots to escape the misery

Bed bugs..yeah..you read that right<br/>Visited Kwality restaurant after a long time for a dinner with my family. Got a table in the end, the one with the couches. After sometime,my lower back had bite marks all over it. Wasn't expecting lack of basic hygiene from such place. Food was okish as well..nothing too great. Order a lassi which after waiting for 30 mins didn't arrived so asked the waiter to cancel it. To my surprise, he still brought it post dinner- even after bringing finger bowls..i said we already have cancelled it since it took too much time for you to bring it..his reply -"itna time lagega" and went back with a frown<br/><br/>Utterly disappointed. Avoid.
