Review Pagdandi Books Chai Cafe - Pune

Quaint Bookcafe Retreat in Baner! I discovered this charming bookcafe in Baner last month, and it's a delightful spot on the ground floor offering both a cozy cafe and a dedicated bookstore. Perfect for reading, working, or catching up with friends, the venue includes an outdoor seating area, although the WiFi is charged separately. Airtel and Jio users will appreciate the good mobile range. Efficiently managed with friendly service, I tried the tea and bun maska combo, which, with two bun servings, proved a bit much for a solo visit. The provision of extension cords for laptops and mobiles is thoughtful, attracting regulars who often work from this peaceful and quiet place. However, the chairs might not be ideal for extended periods of work. The common Buidling washroom, though kept locked, is decently maintained. For avid readers, the frequent opening and closing of doors, along with the doorbell, might slightly disrupt concentration. Despite this, the overall ambiance and offerings make it a cute and cozy retreat for book lovers in the Baner area.

A cute little book Cafe where you can work from as it has a tranquil atmosfeer with multiple charging points; Limited seating options though; The food is good with the Veg Cheese Sandwich and Cold coffee being the best of the lot.

This was a really cute and cozy little place that had a really superb collection of books, good ambience with soulful and calm music. Food was also superb, I had a Vietnamese Cold coffee which was delicious and a veggie sandwich which was really good. Overall, a perfect place to read, eat and chillout!!!! They also have their own bookstore besides the cafe which also had amazing collection, even better than crossword !!

I have frequently visited this cafe since 2015. There is something special about the vibe of this place. It instantly uplifts your spirit. The food, hospitality, sitting arrangement and the music, everything is top notch. You can come here to socialize or just enjoy a cup of masala tea while reading a book or sometimes only to find inspiration and get things done. A highly recommended place.

Its such a soulful cozy place to be. Especially because its set in a very peaceful area and provides just the tight amount of silence and talks to do the reading or have silent conversations about it along with providing some really good food and drinks on the side. 👏

A cozy place that serves amazing coffee! This place has a lot of books to choose from. You can buy books or even choose to read one over there too. The place has a small limited menu but everything that's served is superb. You can go and have a good 'me time'. The only issue here is the very limited seating. Other than that a perfect place for coffee, good books and great time.

A truly great coffee place has to feel special. A place to recharge with a good book and a steaming drink or to chat up a friend over that perfect pastry you’re definitely going to stop eating after one more bite. The best spots have a bit of magic to them. Choosing your perfect spot takes time and patience, but once you’ve found it, you’re set for life. Pagdandi is one of my beloved coffee haunts where you can grab a cup of coffee or a foamy masterpiece of latte art and unwind.

A yellow shutter on the slopes of rolling hills of Baner belongs to a 'cupboard under the stairs' bookstore cafe – Pagdandi! What strikes you first as soon as you enter is the very welcoming sunshine yellow door with a signboard that is made of recycled plywood! Not to forget, the eclectic lights made at the doorway that screams cool in an underlying manner. The lazy Indian sit-outs, the bamboo ceiling and bookshelves, cane chairs, guitar, quirky accessories, and the wide array of the re-circulated old books that smell close to heaven for any bookish geek!

Serving up the classic Americano, Espresso, Latte, Cappuccino, Irish Coffee to the signature Cold Coffee Frappe, Pagdandi has a lot of coffee options for coffee lovers to choose from. Not just that, for vegans, the option of soy milk is also available.

Pagdandi is one of the best book cafes in Pune city. It is a must visit place for any who love book, like to attend reading and book launches and for authors to write and promote their books. The best part about Pagdandi is their team and their dedication to promote the reading culture. There is also a cafe which serve light snacks and hot and cold beverages to keep up your reading and shopping. Do visit. Highly highly recommended.

Wonderful experience at Pagdandi Bookstore Cafe located in Regent Plaza , Baner, Pune. If you are fascinated by quaint, quiet and cosy- this certainly fits the bill. For a book lover, some 'me-time' with an interesting book and a lovely beverage is just the perfect way to connect to oneself and I really enjoyed my short stint in paradise over here, this afternoon. I stumbled into Pagdandi Bookstore Cafe whilst looking for some tea, to kill an hour between mommy errands. And I was completely fascinated by the beautiful ambience created by the owners of this eight year old Cafe. The Cafe has a brightly lit inside section which hosts the coffee counter, a small selection of muffins, cookies and biscotti, an art display, tall bookshelves laden with diverse categories of books for sale. It has such an impressive array of popular books to suit eclectic readers- children, young adults and more discerning readers as well. One can also order books from their website which are home delivered. The outside section has limited seating and a bunch of bookshelves with books available for reading at the Cafe. Pretty little succulents, add to the allure of each table. All COVID protocols are maintained with hand sanitisers placed at the entrance and at tables for guests. I enjoyed an Adrak Chai made by the very affable Aalam who manages this place with enormous expertise and ease. Full marks to his attentiveness and courtesy. I was so taken over by this charming little Cafe that offers two of my greatest wishes - books and chai , on a pleasing platter with such excellent service. Since there are Hot chocolate and cookies too , I will be soon bringing my kiddos, to enjoy their share of children's books with their favourite beverage. I gathered from Aalam that Pagdandi frequently hosts book readings, book launches and several events which feature on their Instagram and Facebook pages. So do visit positive Pagdandi for books, beverages, coffee dates with friends and family or just to catch some me-time.

Located on Baner Pashan Link Road in Regent Plaza. As the parking is on Road, for four wheelers it can be a challenge on weekends. The ambiance is like a typical desi cafe with lots of reading option. Contrary, we found most of the crowd was stuck with their laptops. The crowd here is mostly college or freshers. The seating arrangement is compact and option to sit indoor & outdoor as well. We had opted for outdoor seating. We had ordered the famous Ginger Tea here along with Ginger Lemon Tea. Ginger Tea was very good. The perfect amount of ginger in it.  We also had Desi Grill Burgwich. Which was a grilled sandwich and perfect to have with tea. Although it arrived after we finished our tea. Service is good and payment needs to be made while giving order. Overall one of the best options to have tea here while you are around Baner.
Sayee Girdhari
The cafe is heaven for book lovers. The store has books at 15% off sale. There are trays of children's books too. A bookshelf outside has books that one can take, read while sipping on coffee, tea or kambucha (and a few more items) and read happily. They also serve quick bites like tart, cinnamon roll (this is pretty nice), etc. The place is a must-visit in Pune.

This has got to be my most favourite place in Pune. From the kind of atmosphere present there to the collection of books and the friendliness of all the staff, everything's on point for someone who wants some peace, good food, music, and comfort. 10/10 everyone must visit at least once.

Miss this place terribly!! A place which glues you every time you think about an escape from the hustle life... go with your friends or go alone ... you will always feel home here.. Books and tea to your tastes with a amazing background of melody and positive aura... Great place and people!!!

Yesterday on my way back to mumbai, I had to visit you guys as it had been long pending since u guys started Pagdandi. This place is special to me cause it's a dream of my dear friends Vishal Pipraiya and Neha Vishal Pipraiya . As I saw the cafe from outside, it had this homely feel to it, a place u can just relax leaving behind ur stress. And the ambience inside is just like what I had imagined Vishal and Neha would come up with - an extension of their warm and easy going personality, which is beautiful. And in terms of offerings, I had this flavoured yogurt and pan soda which was just the thing I needed after a day in d sun.. Truly unique & refreshing. I must also mention this cozy nook with a comfortable bed which I personally think is the best place to lazy around with a book or ideate with a few doodles n scribbles. Guess this place is for explorers, freethinkers, dreamers or for people who wants to just detox themselves from their crazy routine! Strongly recommend it to everyone.

The best place to be for books, coffee, workshops, hangout, friends and I always keep waiting for the Acoustic Jams! A must visit...

A nice place to grab a cup of coffee or tea with some sides while skimming through novel(s) of your choice. You will always find a bunch of avid readers hanging out here. Quite pleased with the hospitality of the staff.
Arti Deshpande
I loved the relaxed and chilled out atmosphere of the cafe. The Mango Iced Tea was the best I have ever tasted and the collection of books is awesome. I love the concept of Charity Chai. The only improvement I'd want in this perfect place - I just wish they had more seating space inside.
Krit Lal
This place is much of an addiction, a small place but yet you'd get all the peace and serenity amidst all the books around, while you enjoy a cup of Adrak Chai.

I like reading books... Bt the place seemed quite conjusted... So.... It needs a bigger place to promote this kind of a concept

A place needs soul to allow soulfulness to be nurtured. Pagdandi has that soul as a blessing. Every person coming here nurtures that soul. We need more of this...much much more of this!

Pangdandi Is One Of My Favourite Cafes In Pune ❤️ One Can Easily Find a cosy place , sip a cup of hot chocolate and read a book.<br/>The list doesn't ends here.<br/>It has amazing workshops and board games which one could sit around with their friends and play.<br/>The menu is homely and economical.<br/>Places like This should be more.<br/>This place would never fail to make you smile.
Chirag Rupani
There needs to be more places like Pagdandi, in Pune and all over the country. This concept is real and needs to be recognised and frequented and promoted. A small shop with a book library, comfort seating arrangement with tables and chairs and also floor seating. <br/>The small menu makes it easier to choose and the food is also comfort food. Chai, coffee, sandwiches, maggi (if my memory serves me right) and the works. <br/>Read a book, finish your novel, finish writing your novel, chit chat and catch up with an old friend. This place has everything for every need. And what makes it possible is the cosyness, comfort and the vibe of this place.<br/><br/>A must visit for everyone who is in Pune.
Gaurav Sharma
The place is good to go just to read , have some tea and relax... they got a huge collection of books to choose from  but if you are interested in materials in hindi or marathi you can be disappointed as they have few books for them.<br/>The ginger tea is too good along with the snacks. Must visit place if you are a reader

If you're looking for a calm, peaceful and cozy place, this is the one for you. Being a tea lover I have been exploring places and to be honest I'd love to visit this place again Probably one of the few places I really liked when it comes to tea. Staff, ambience, the light music, everything is so good about this place. You'll get a number of books to read from. You'll get good service from the staff too.
Shivam Tiwari
It's a small cozy place with books that'll make you nostalgic. I stayed for a while, enough to finish an edition of Hardy Boys while having a sandwich and coffee. Food is okayish but the feel makes up for it.
Brinda Radia
Pathetic! Worst bun maska and sandwiches. Tea was also average. There are better places out there. Also no service. They take so long for serving a normal tea. Don't visit and waste your bucks.
Rini D
It is a cozy place. Best for a coffee and book lover. You can sip the amazing coffee and read a book here. The sandwiches are also good. The espresso they serve is also great.
Nandan Malhotra
Cozy, sophisticated ambience and a place where you can get lost in all on your own with a good selection of reads and an amazing menu.<br/><br/>Loved how rich and aromatic the hot chocolate was. It was dark and my favourite beverage.<br/>The brownie was nice too, served with ice cream.<br/>Loved how refreshing the adrak chai was. Perfect for a rainy evening.<br/><br/>Book lovers, chai lovers or people who want a nice, calm, laid back experience, should try this out.
Rohini Shinge
Cozy interior 💕<br/><br/>Nice place to spend quality time.<br/><br/>You can read books, work on a laptop.<br/><br/>Also, you can simply chat with friends.<br/><br/>They have nice food!❤️<br/><br/>A cafe needs expansion.
Yogita Sharma
Snacks and beverages are nice and reasonably priced.<br/>But it's a cramped up place. The place has good vibes but it gets really hard to work and concentrate .

Few of the book cafe's in the city to have great collection of books and the one that serves a great adrak chai too. Ambience ,cozy atmosphere and books- perfect idea of destressing oneself.<br/>Ambience - 3/5<br/>Food - 3/5<br/>Service - 3.5/5

This is the only book cafe I found near PCMC area. It has a homely atmosphere and the staff is really polite.<br/>I tried a few coolers they serve- kairi Panha and khus. They have it in soda as well. They are going sustainable by using steel straws for the drinks they serve.<br/>The sitting arrangement has variation- bharatiya baithak and the regular table chair arrangement. Also there is a small outdoor sitting provided.<br/>There are events happening all the time which makes you want to keep coming again for more.
Chaitali Wayakule
Been here multiple times for Chai with my bestie. It's our go to place in Baner. Their Masala chai is amazing. They serve chai in red mud kullhad & with parle G. Just takes me to the memory lane when I was a kid.<br/>They have really good collection of books. This place is usually jam packed. Need to wait to get tables in evening.<br/>It has tables outside & indoor sitting is Indian. Carpets on floor. People are always there working on laptops or studying in indoor area.<br/>Small and cozy place with good book collection & Eco friendly stationary for sale.<br/>It's not a fancy cafe. It's a small little place for book lovers & conversations.<br/><br/>Taste 4/5<br/>Ambiance 3/5<br/>Service 3.5/5

The food is good. But most importantly how the cafe has been set up and how the environment here is a point to note. It's so good!<br/>You can come any afternoon, order a chai and do your work for some time.

One of the best book cafe in town..quaint,small and friendly staff defines it all!<br/>Along with a great collection of books. Indoor and outdoor seating arrangements are available.<br/>Do try thier adrak chai n hot chocolate..good company along with your books to spend a quality time!

We went to gas agency opposite to the cafe. We had few minutes to get Gas Agency open and we were waiting. So we decided to eat something. We have ordered veg cheese grill sandwiche, late coffee and a cold coffee. Late coffee and Cold coffee were testing like water. Veg sandwiche were so thin and was not worth of money what we have paid for it.<br/><br/>If you are going with expectations to eat something good then I think this place will not meets your expectations.

One of a kind experience. This is a place where you can get cozy with your fav books and enjoy some great tea alongside. This is a hidden gem in mid of Baner Pashan Link Road.<br/>There is a big book collection to read from, also there are books on sale as well. Great experience overall

Its a really bad experience. The club veg sandwich was really bad and the adrak tea was responsible for my fever. Wouldn't recommend the store or the food.

OVERALL - 5/5<br/>FOOD- 4/5<br/>AMBIENCE - 4.5/5<br/>SERVICE 4.5/5<br/>VFM - 5/5<br/><br/>*THE MERRY FACTOR* - The books, the warmth of the place and the sweet staff.<br/><br/>A perfect example of how a cafe should be run while supporting and building a loyal community. Pagdandi is a heaven for those seeking an absolutely affordable place to work in peace and interact with like minded folks. The owners run the place with passion and you can see it in every nuance of the cafe. A book cafe that serves good food with ever smiling staff. It's always a delight to visit Pagdandi. Beware ! You tend to lose track of time in the world of books and warmth !!<br/><br/>

This café is like heaven on earth. Amazing books, cozy seating, great employees and comfort food.<br/>The place even has a lot of games, you can also plug in your laptop and work there in peace!<br/>The Maggie Bhel is to die for.

Absolutely loved the place. One can sit there all day reading books and sipping coffee. Music they play is just right(according to me ofc) as it doesn't distract you from your reading but surely sets the mood. Had ordered adrak chai, cappuccino, mashed potatoes with garlic toast, and wai wai. All the dishes we had were on point. I'd surely visit often.

What can I say about this place. It's a perfect combination of great food and even greater collection of books. It's kind of a rejuvenating place for me whenever I get free time or gets irritated of life, I head to this place without a second thought, this place makes you forget all the bad things of life. A major contributor is the man who handles the shop with a beautiful smile all over. Each n every dish is heavenly, specially the Ginger tea. A must visit place for each and every one. The must have is their Mashed patoto with garlic butter toast.....A treat to have.....
Deepthi Sathia Raj
Pagdandi is a beautiful place! I have visited here for multiple story telling events. They have a very cosy ambiance. It's full with books which you can just pick and read. They serve tea, coffee and snacks. More on their menu soon!<br/><br/>It's 'the place' to go if you want some me time or some quiet time..:-)

Oh I #Love this place. First visit today and I am a fan.<br/>Great food. Wonderful chai. Good books. A tempting membership. Oh and a lovable ambience.<br/><br/>What I would do to be able to visit daily but not possible. But surely a place I can spend a whole day at.<br/><br/>P.S. Their garlic toast and mashed potatoes are too good.
Ankita Chawda
I visited this place with my friends with lot of expectations, but they disappointed me. We had ordered veg maggi, but it was uncooked. Then we ordered aloo onion chatpata sandwich, which was again tasteless. Then we asked for fresh fruit juice, despite of being it in menu, they said they don't have it. For me it was a disappointing experience.
Kaustubh Deshmukh
After a lot of buzz about this cafe I visited on a great evening. Ordered tea and bun maska and to my surprise, instead of bun maska they gave me a plain paav and that too was hard to chew. I was shocked, a cafe having 4.5 rating with close to 800 reviews failed to deliver a simple dish. They don't know difference between a plain paav and bun maska. Giving 2 stars because of tea, at least they gave me tea for a tea.
Neha Singh
Lovely place to hangout with your buddies or solo. The cafe has a variety of books available for the customers. It also houses stationery and books for sale. 🤩adrak wali chai is heavenly 😍<br/>Must visit place

Terrible coffee!!! Do not waste money on coffee. It was way too white and bland. Extra coffee shot costs INR 60!!! hahaha.... so an OKAY coffee will cost you about INR 140..<br/>There are 3-4 better options right across the street.<br/>Ginger tea was good. Brownie was good.<br/>

Tasteless food.. will not go again and will not suggest anyone.. Try any other place but don't waste your money and time over this place.. very disappointed

It's the perfect place to hide away from the ruckus at home or otherwise and read your favourite book. The hot drinks here reach your very soul and the ambience is one of the most soothing things ever. 12/10 would love to keep going here again and again.
Kavita More
Loved this place, for the love of books (When I read them!) No BS. Awesome tea, served with biscuits and had a cheesy mashed potato with garlic butter toast. It was simply delicious. (Husband's recommendation, both; venue and the menu - Just giving due credit :D ). Oh, but just FYI they charge you for using their WiFi.
Karandeep
This is a place you go if you just want to sit and read or do your office work.<br/><br/>The prices are pocket friendly and the taste does not disappoint.<br/>It is basically a place that offers refreshments while you work.<br/>That chai to keep you fresh or that cold coffee if you are not a chai person.<br/><br/>I really wouldn't want to write a review on how the food tastes for the place is not just about that.
Sneha Shinde
Its a very nice place for people who read and enjoy books . The food is really good and the crowd is pretty cool and nice . Place is very calm and peaceful too.

Best place if you want to spend your time peacefully with some books around and of course food alongside. It's a cozy place with enough hosting capacity (20-25 people). The staff is very friendly and polite to interact with, and won't disturb you even if you don't order anything for a long time.
Niharika Priyadarshini
One of the iconic places in Baner, this is a pretty and quaint little corner which can be your escape to a different world, with the vast collection of books available for a read, with topics ranging from international fiction to competitive exams.<br/>The music is always soothing and something new each time. And the collection of food is quite healthy and tasty!<br/>Chai lovers, do try the adrak chai over here with a Parle G biscuit- you'll fall in love with it!<br/>My favorite drink is macchiato with an extra oreo dropped in ;) The range of sandwiches is good and quite delicious! It's a veg only cafe, so do keep that in mind!
Chandrakant Redican
Pagdandi is the best cafe in Pune.<br/>It is a place for artists to collaborate <br/>A place for startup founders and freelancers to meet<br/>It is a place to make friends<br/>Nothing else like pagdandi

Have heard lot about this place for years despite living nearby never got much time to spend here.<br/>Last month Saturday afternoon one special friend of mine was with me so decided to have some quality time here, cozy nice little different welcoming environment make you forget everything here.<br/>Finding place is quite a struggle here, because people don't leave for hours not to question though that's what this place for anyway.<br/>We got an outside table, whenever someone open the door there is one bell that rings and reminds us time is passing enjoy these beautiful small moments.<br/>Food we ordered burger sandwich cold coffee, average as this place is not for only food, enjoy the vibes here.<br/>Special mention to staff so helpful and nice always.

Pagdandi feels like home, there is truckloads of comfort that one finds here :)<br/>but grabbing your spot can pose to be a challenge! Do try their spinach corn sandwhich which comes complementary with wafer chips and suffices for a morning breakfast.
Dhaval Dange
Books, snacks and some adrak chaai is all you need to have a quality time in the fast paced city life. A cosy ambience, limited but nice collection of books and some snacks to accompany the same. Must visit for book lovers. They also arrange certain workshops and events occasionally that are mostly free to attend.
Aishwarya Sheral
The best place for bibliophiles. If you are searching for your 'Me time', Pagdandi is the answer. No one is exception to fall in love with this place. A big tibetan flag hanging to the ceiling will grab your attention. There is a small bell on the door which makes sweet sound everytime you open or close the door. There are two huge shelves upto ceiling height which are full of books only. They even sell some books at discount. You can munch on food while reading them.<br/>Desi grill burgerwhich was ok albeit and not worth the price of Rs. 150. Chocolate shake too was average for Rs. 90.<br/>There is a table in the middle where you can work on your laptops. You can even sit on the floor. I specially loved that cozy mattress in the corner. One wall is full of pictures from different places of the world. Decor is just mesmerizing<br/>They even sell some goodies including fridge magnets, handmade soaps, bags, keychains etc.<br/>Just one negative point: They should work on their food quality.<br/>Everyone must visit this place atleast once and i am sure, you will keep coming. This place has some charm that you immediately gets connected.
Mehak Adlakha
one of the best places in Pune if you want to have a quiet evening, have some Maggi, read some books and relax.<br/><br/>it's a small area in Baner pashan link road but totally worth it. you might not find a place to sit but if you do, count yourself lucky.
Tushar Raka | @did_sum1_say_food
If you are a book person, then this is the place you might love to visit..<br/>They have mostly snacks items in their menu and that is it..<br/><br/>You can sit on the stools, chairs, bed or even outside..<br/>The seating is a bit congested, so you will literally always have someone by your side.. :D<br/><br/>I had ordered Chocolate Cheese Banana Sandwich, which didn't turn out to be that well..<br/>Instead you might want to order a normal one, is what to everyone I tell..<br/><br/>Towards the end I had Brownie Magic, which was very very Yummy..<br/>And dis is how at this cute little place, I satisfied my Tummy..<br/><br/>Ambience: 4/5<br/>Food: 3.5/5<br/>Value For Money: 4/5

Quaint cafe where you can surround yourself with books.<br/><br/>A very cool decor with a great collection of books brings out the bibliophile in you. The cafe isn't bad either ..Serves great chai and Maggie. It has a couple of tables to sit but I preferred sitting on the mat on the ground. <br/><br/>They have some great merch for sale too..Go there to spend a quiet evening with yourself..Oh yes and a book.

This is my favourite place in Pune by a distance!<br/><br/>It is a cozy little place, where you can read a book or just do your work, with some wonderful music for company. They have a huge collection on books here, which are also available on a library basis. This, in itself, is enough for me to love a place. I have spent my entire Sundays just lazying around here.<br/><br/>Their chocolate Milkshake is absolutely delicious. The rest of the food can be improved, but I couldn't care less.<br/><br/>Also, the open mic sessions on Friday evenings are absolutely wonderful.

Best place if you are a book lover and want to spend as much as time reading and having sips of tea or coffee.<br/><br/>Nothing fancy about the cafe but still there is so much to read here which will keep you engrossed for long.<br/><br/>And of course food and tea is nice.

My mom was very excited about the place after reading the reviews on Zomato, but when we went to the place at around 8ish, we realised that it was a very small room type of cafe, and the 'home chefs' dishes were unavailable.<br/><br/>We ordered one desi grill burgwich.. and as there were only two/three staffers, the order was delayed. The food was good, but due to the place being crammed up, we couldn't enjoy the food much. <br/><br/>It's not worth the travel we made (a one hour drive).. and it fell short of our expectations. It's a good place for people with a passion for reading while eating.. or rather an affordable dining place for a teenager with the only requirements of wifi and a place where you can stay put for hours together, either reading or just hanging about..but not for a family to enjoy the Sunday dinners.<br/><br/><br/>Overall:<br/>Food - 4/5<br/>Ambience - 2.5/5<br/>Staff - 3.5/5

I don't think I need to write more about this place. This is the great example of reaching the top and sustaining! This place never disappoints you. Be it an event, a cozy rainy afternoon, some alone time, quality group talks or just simply a book date with the soul revitalizing tea. <br/><br/>The concept, the Ambiance, the positive Vibes, this place nails it all! <br/>Vishal and Neha (the owners with a fascinating story. Read it on their Facebook page) have done a marvellous job giving nomads like us the precious Pagdandi.<br/><br/>Strongly recommend.

Pagdandi had the promise of a very good café until I visited only to see a promising interior but full of crowd. They've crammed up every space with whatever they could. It's a café, a shop, a library and everything is incomplete. I hear the poetry sessions that they take are brilliant, but when I visited it was just a lot of chaos. The white sauce pasta and coffee took ages to arrive and there's nothing great about the taste for them to charge so much! <br/>Hence an average experience.

A very cozy little cafe that's bursting with young energy. Has a very vibrant vibe to it. A book lover's/ writer's paradise who will very often also be surprised by live music. Serves sandwiches, coffee and a variety of tea. The food is simple but yum and it is reasonably priced for the quantity that's served.<br/>The staff is courteous and ever smiling. <br/>When in Pune, must catch the vibe of this place.

A lovely place to hang out and chill<br/>There is no hurry to order nor to empty the seats/tables, you can sit here for as long as you want. <br/>Plus the chai served here is pretty good amongst other things. They even have games like Jenga, cards, ludo etc which you can play with your friends

Do you feel like getting away from home reading your favourite book and sipping a cup of Adrak chai or coffee? This warm homely Book Chai Cafe is meant for you!<br/>While you get comfortable on their cosy furniture and read for hours, your tummy is taken care of. They have a small menu but their tasty Sandwiches and Burgers especially the Desi Grilled Burgerwich will keep you contented for hours. Pagdandi is that corner of your house where you go for some silence with a cup of tea and favourite author. It’s a concept restaurant, as the name suggests it means ‘Road less Traveled’. <br/>The place is so inviting with sweet aroma of tea and informal interiors catering bookworm- foodies. The atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant tune in the background enhances the experience. The Bun Maska Chai is the most popular in the menu. The place also has a variety of homemade food such as Maggi, Hot Chocolate with Marshmallow etc. <br/>Pagdandi also has a huge collection of books available to read, and with an affordable membership fee one can borrow the book so that it is never left unread. The books are donated by friends and generous customers. The books contain the donor’s name and are labelled and categorized. The store also promotes budding authors and has a sale section. The place also hosts my events like book release, karaoke.<br/>If one does not want to read, they can play board games or surf the free Wifi of the place to go with the yum dishes served. Although the place is too congested, it is too adorable. You just leave you wanting for more. Pagdandi is not a place it’s an experience you must have to understand. <br/>

Calm and small place. If you just wanna have your own time then this is the place for you. I had Ca phe sua nong - Vietnamese style filter coffee , which was really nice. The hot chocolate with marshmallows was just ok.

Keep going there on a regular basis. Best place to spend some lone time or be it an assignment completion with friends. It's a quiet cute place with a good collection of magazines, books and games.<br/>Love their sandwiches, burgers, wai- Wai and beverages - just the right company for a novel you want to read.<br/>

Pagdandi cafe is a lovely, feel good, cozy little place in baner. The hot chocolate with marshmallows and brownie magic are a must try. Apart from the food, the one thing that I absolutely loved about the place is books! They have got a variety of good books..<br/>I really enjoyed my time here.
Akshaysd
Not your typical cafe. Small, cozy, but very plain seating. Go with the right expectation and you’ll like it. Great chai, and a few other organic products.

In a quasi distopian place like Baner, in midst of glass facades and high rise residential complexes, there lived happy, bamboo clad, chai brewing place called Pagdandi. Copious amounts of books, brews and nom-noms aside, this place has served well in nourishing my rather lack-luster time in baner. I shall revisit again to say hi :)

Really nice and cozy place for book lovers who want to spend time with the books without being disturbed by the hustle and bustle of the fast city life. They serve delicious wai wai noodles with awesome coffee and not to forget the saunf coollers.<br/>

Great atmosphere. They have used the little space they had so well.<br/>Simplicity is the best thing you can give to someone and they served so well. <br/>Great.... 👌👌

Poor management..Not given a place even after waiting for 15 minutes...customers who came next to us were given a table immediately due to lack of coordination between the management themselves...

This cute place is pretty, peaceful, cozy and a very chill vibe kind at the same time. With a variety of books available, the food here is also too good. <br/>This time when I visited, we just had Adrak Chai. I've had food many times earlier but don't have a picture. (Sorry)<br/>Adrak chai was too good for the soul I must say. Served with Parle -G biscuits, adrak chai will make you 100% happy if you are a chai lover or not! <br/>I recommend people to visit here if they want to spend some time alone or meet and interact with new people. Everything is good about this place! :) <br/> <br/><br/>#HappyFooding :)

If you are a person for whom a good book and some food makes your day then probably this is the place you should visit. They have a very nice ambience where you can sit for long and read and enjoy being yourself. Apart from this they also serve very delicious food. They have limited menu but yes they are almost perfect at cooking what is written in the menu.<br/>Only on Sundays this place is a bit crowded so go early book your seat first and enjoy your day.

A very homely place to just sit and get lost in the works of books. If you go during weekends the place will be packed.. I went on a Sunday evening and found myself a cosy little spot on a gaddi on the floor.. Was amazed to see so many books to choose from.. Didn't even realize how 2 hrs went by reading. The peace and calm in this place is amazing.come here to read, work or just enjoy your own company. Dont even remember what I ordered to eat but everything was good. Service is a bit slow but who cares when you have so many good books for company. Must visit!
Kaushal Vyas
A modest place with a modest ambience. The ambience would really not matter if you love reading books as there are quite a lot of them out here. The adrak chai was quite good and the maggi looked quite delightful although I did not taste it. The service needs to be looked after as sometimes you actually need to go and summon someone from inside for a glass of water or whatever you need to order.

Fascinating place for reading books and enjoying coffee and desserts. The place is very cozy and addictive. After few minutes inside this cafe, I didn't feel like leaving it.<br/>Very interesting concept, I must say. However, I really wish they didn't charge for the wi-fi. It seems little greedy and that's something the management can do something about. If you choose to let this one slide, you can definitely enjoy the food very much.

Specially for book lovers, you're missing out on something if you haven't visited this place being a Punekar!<br/><br/>Such a lovely ambience that makes you feel at home.<br/>The collection of books & novels need special mention.<br/>Coming to the food, the menu is a crisp & short one.<br/>However, the taste is really high on quality.<br/>Try their Bun Maska, Sandwiches & Kashmiri Kaahwa.<br/><br/>Ratings:<br/>Taste: 5<br/>Ambience: 5<br/>Service: 4.5<br/>Value for Money: 4.5

| You don't find places like this everyday, you may go inside negative or depressed about life but when you will come back, I can guarantee you will have a smile. It's not just a cafe, it's more than that |<br/><br/>The Place: -<br/><br/>Pagdandi, The way I feel for this Book Cafe, I have not felt for any other. I have been to book cafes in Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi but this is one place which has a unique and totally different vibe. If you love books and want to enjoy in peace this is just the place.<br/><br/>The basic idea behind Pagdandi was to give people a place where they can come and talk and read and meet like minded people with no rules just by being yourself and they have implemented the idea well.<br/><br/>The Food: -<br/><br/>I have tried everything on Pagdandi's menu and believe everything is worth it. Although here is a list of things which you must try: -<br/><br/>1. Chai Bun Maska Combo: - Pagdandi is famous for its Chai and the flavour they serve and with that Bun Maska it is an amazing combination for such a nominal price<br/><br/>2. Energy Booster: - It actually gives you energy, filled with milk and lots of dry fruits from cashew, peanuts to lots of fruits like banana and it taste so good. Price is just Rs. 120<br/><br/>3. Brownie: - I cannot control myself from not trying the brownie. It's very tempting.<br/><br/>4. White Sauce Passta: - It'a good and the best part is quantity is enough for 2 people if you are not to hungry.<br/><br/>The Staff: - This is what makes Pagdandi unique. Every single employee at Pagdandi is so genuine towards you and they are such good people that you will love there behaviour and they way they treat customers. <br/><br/>Kudos to Vishal and Neha for this.<br/><br/><br/>Conclusion:- 'If you want to enjoy a book in the most comfortable state i.e while sleeping and with a chai in your hands and listening to rain outside, just be here. There is no better place in Pune'<br/><br/>
