Review Cafe Goa - Pune

Sagar Chamoli
One of the few places which I'll like to give 5 out of 5. - Food: I tried Surmai thali and could say it was one of the best sea food thali I had in recent times. They gave a total 3 surmai, one in gravy & two dry (one is rava fry & and another is masala fry) - Service: I was pleased to see the owner taking intrest in his customer & personally greeted me, helping me selecting the best food. The staff was very friendly as well & the food was prepared well in time. - Ambience: The ambience is very soothing with warm lights & comfortable seating arrangements. - Price: The pricing is definitely value for money. Overall, a perfect place where you can have a good food with great service and chilled ambience.

The fish and prawn thali was nice and fresh but the place is a little bit congested. Will definitely recommend for Goan food.

Visiting here from last 7-8 years. Taste never varies. Never disappoint ! Prawns butter garlic is just heaven!! Yummy !

The food is great. It is the closest to Goan seafood thali I have eaten outside of Goa. The thali options are listed on the menu, so there is no daily fresh variety like you would usually get. But that is fine. Definitely a great place to have a fish/prawn thali for lunch. The restaurant is in a small side lane and therefore not too busy. The interior is simple and it doesn't invite you to sit and dine for longer. A place to go, have your food and bounce. Really really great!

A small cafe. Very authentic Goan food. Being a goan myself, This is hands down the best place serving goan food in Pune. The prawns thali and squid rechado is a must try. Their goan sora curry is on point. Absolutely tasty. Highly recommend this place. Definitely going back again.

Amazing authentic goan place. It is small but worth a visit. Others complaining about quantity or lack of chapati (they have pao only) don't get it. We tried bangda, surmai, prawns, Thali and ros omelette. My fav was the omelette, surmai and prawns. Will definitely visit again. Pune has a dearth of good seafood restaurants as the regular ones like nisarg, gajalee, fish curry rice, mahesh are not good anymore. Prices are in line.

This is one of the best place in Pune for authentic Goan seafood dishes. Love their prawn curry, fried bangda, surmai. Service is excellent. Although the menu is limited and place is very small, the food makes up for it. Have been here umpteen times. Update : they have now shifted to a new place. But the quality of food is still the same.

It’s a small place. But great food. I enjoyed the Goan fish curry, it was the best.

- - Cafe Goa, Viman Nagar (Behind Nexa Showroom) Today, fish was on my mind and didn't wanted to travel any far and still have the best preparation. Only place that came to mind was Cafe Goa. It's just in the lane behind Nexa showroom in vimanagar and once u reach the place u can hardly here any Traffic. The only thing u can hear is goan music thats playing in the background and u can imagine being one a white sand beach in Goa :p njoying your seafood.. This is small, neat and tidy place. Though being a place that serves fish.. you won't get that "fishy" smell that repels you. 2 tables placed outside are the best for a winter dinner Let's come to the best part - #Food My order - surmai and squid fry (prepared in recheado masala), prawn rawa fry, prawn curry - boiled rice and 4 paav :) ***The surmai and squid fry. The preparation in recheado masala was amazing. Having hit of spice and at the same time not burning your taste buds but you will end wanting for more just like us :p we ordered 4 paav to wipe off the masala - it was just that "finger lickin' " good both the surmai and squid were fresh and just perfect made. ***Prawn rawa fry. Prawns are marinated with a spiced masala, coated with Rava and fired. The size of the prawns is decent enough and all worth it. ***Mains - Prawn curry and boiled rice. The curry "might" look colorless and less thick. But once you have it...You are just surprised with the subtle flavours and the hard-work to make it just perfect is visible. They serve a simple (tomato and onion) salad with every starter and thats good too Definitely worth visiting place and #VFM. A place that can get you high on food... Service is top notch and the staff is welcoming. Just like you Goa, Once you step into this place you will want to visit it next time soon :) I have also have their breakfast items before are they are amazing too. #Note - if you take someone along with you, they might end up praising you for introducing such a amazing place to them :) and they serve #FreePani Total bill - 1040RS . They accept cards.. #CafeGoa #VimanNagar #myfoodvoyage

Cozy little place tucked in a quiet corner of Viman Nagar. Not really an ambience place, but food and service makes up for it. The menu is limited to goan preparations. Almost everything is worth trying. Prices are reasonable. Have visited it multiple times and plan on doing so.
SiddhixSawant
Ambience- This place is pretty small with around 3-4 tables inside and 2 tables outside. The ambience is cozy with goan music blasting on the speakers but the problem starts when you sit outside and by outside we mean literally next to the road(as is seen in the pictures), the wind sweeps the dust into the food and also the food becomes cold really fast. This was a major turn off for us. For a place that serves good food they should cover the outside area to make the customers more comfortable.

Food-

Masala Pomfret Fry- This was different as compared to the traditional rava fry but nonetheless very tasty. The size of the fish is decent for the price.

Goan Prawns Curry- This curry is tasty with a very authentic goan taste to it with good quantity of prawns. It comes with some rice. This place does not serve any kind of bread except pav. So you’ll can opt for rice or pav with the curry.

Solkadhi- Solkadhi was refreshing and delicious.

Staff- The staff seemed a bit unattentive, maybe because of the rush on a Sunday but they we kind of had to wait for 10 mins everytime after calling them.

Pros- Pocket friendly and great food.
Cons- The seating is not very comfortable and staff can work on their attentiveness.

Food is delicious, cozy place tucked in a lane. Feels like a hidden gem of a place and staff is also really good......great place to hangout with friends and family

Surmai curry and rice, pomfret masala fry, both the dishes were delicious. The quantity might not be too much but given that it’s not that expensive, it’s totally worth!
Sea food lovers must definitely try :)

Ate here over the weekend. The most authentic goan food I’ve eaten outside of Goa. We had the limited thali. Mackerel curry and rice, rawa fried pomfret and rawa fried calamari, everything was very tasty. It was like eating at a restaurant in Goa. Staff was very attentive and courteous. Definitely going back there soon.

This little cafe is one of the best place for such yumm sea food. Not only is it pocket friendly but also super tasty food. The masala fry pomfret was so delicious that I couldn’t help ordering 2 more 🙈 the goan prawn curry is pure love...! Savay kheer was the best end for any meal. The staff is very helpful n welcome you with a smile and the food leaves a smile on your face too..😋

Cafe Goa. What a nice cozy place. I visited on Sunday night and it was pretty well occupied. They have seats inside as well as outside. I preferred inside as there were lots of stray dogs and cats lingering to grab a fish of our plates. Surmai, pomfret and bangra rawa fry are awesome. Surmai curry and rice was also quite authentic Goaneise. But I liked Solkadi the Most, had such good Solkadi after a long long time. Last but not least, it is quite pocket friendly. Must try if you are in this part of town, craving for sea food.

I cant believe such a sea food place in pune and serves such delicious sea food. I have already visited this place thrice and every time I like it more. Small place himely and staff is very kind and humble . Thanks to everyone who took the initiative in pune.
Snehal Mense
Perfectly cooked fish and prawns in thali...quality of food was great..only drawback is no chapati or roti in thali...addition to the thali can be one chapati or pav....quantity of curry served in thali is very less for the rice given...rest all is perfect.
Pushkar Gadre
Authentic Goan food, authentic Goan ambience, courteous staff! Never disappoints! Cheers!
Rituraj Chauhan
Small cozy cafe, serving absolutely delicious goan seafood specialities. Curries are smooth and well done, they come out with such vibrant colours, taste great with steamed rice. Hygenic place, good service. Personally enjoyed the prawns vindaloo.

Ros omlet was served with fish curry instead of chicken xacuti... And even after asking the waiter he denied

Goan thali pasand hai par goa jaane ka time nahi....ab aaya goa aapke pass...cafe goa me aao aur khao fish jhakkas.

I am giving 5-star because of only "Goan Fish Thali".
Cafe goa....a feel of goa brought in Pune...A nice cozy quaint restaurant with the sitting arrangement of around 15, good hygiene and cleanliness and a good vibrant ambiance is what one comes across. We had Goan fish thali which was quite authentic served with kokam kadi.
Price of Goan Fish Thali is 600/-...And caramel custard for dessert which was passable. Overall a good experience.Cheers

What a gem! Fantastic place and absolutely excellent food! Wish they would get a better washroom but the food, the prices, the hygiene was all excellent in the restaurant itself. Need to get on Zomato delivery!

Loved the food and the place both. Nicely placed in a snug corner, cafe Goa is a cool quiet place to enjoy a wonderful sea food on a weekend with your family.

This is one of my favorite places in pune to enjoy seafood at its best. I like the cozy vibe and live cooking at the cafe. The taste of food is amazing I always order Ras omelette , pomfret masala fry and prawn Curry and rice and experiment with other items but these 3 are my ultimate favorites. It is a budget friendly place. The vibe is amazing because if the songs which they play. Overall I like visiting this place because of the food and vibe and would recommend to every seafood lover.

We went there on an afternoon for a team lunch. I must say this is one of the places you simply cannot afford to ignore. Taste is simply awesome. We ordered the fish thali they have and it is sumptuous. They truly get you the Goan taste on your taste buds.

Very hospitable staff. They have a small joint with humble seating but that is fine. We also ordered Surmai Caffreal and Prawns Vindaloo. Awesome proportion and exact blend of species.

Very rare places where you would find fresh and tasty seafood in Pune. Guys please do not miss out on this one. Prawns curry in the thali was mouth watering. And yes, the caramel custard was a treat at the end :)

Beautiful Ambience and even better food. Amaaazing fish , tasty and fingerlicking

A small Goa in Pune. P.S. this place has a literal Goa Vibe

We tried the fish thaali which was awesome. It's a limited thaali which means no refills. It's sufficient for a nice lunch. The place is small with just a few tables so it might get crowded. However the service is quick so tables might get free sooner as well.

One of the most authentic goan food place in Pune. Nice cozy ambience with great food. A must visit for sea food lovers.
One fine night we were craving for sea-food and we decided to visit Cafe Goa. Its a small joint in Viman nagar. We asked to be seated outdoors. They've got a 2 page simple menu with a variety of sea food and eggs. To start with, we called for Prawns Rava, Prawns Stir Fry, Chicken Caffreal, Steamy Surmai, Sol Kadi. Prawns Rava was the best of all the starters. Perfectly crispy and delicious prawns served with mix salad. We also loved Prawns Stir fry. It was like a chinese semi gravy option and tasted good. Next, the steamy Surmai fish had 2 pieces of saucy and perfectly steamed fish. Chicken caffreal, a green semi gravy chicken dish served with an optional Pav was delicious. Probably the only chicken delicacy that shines amidst all sea food options. I for one didn't relish Sol Kadi. Some from my group liked it. For the main course, we called for Vindalho Prawns curry and Caldin Prawns curry. Caldin prawns was a better options though. For the ones who don't mind a lot of spice in their food, Vindalho Prawns Curry with rice is also a tangy and extemely spice option.

Food: 4/5
Ambiance: 3/5
Service: 4/5
Overall: 4/5. Loved it overall. Would recommend only to play some music next time. Maybe they didn't play it coz we were late but that's my only suggestion.
Chirayu Baheti
Visited twice and both times satisfied with my craving of prawns. They server best Goan food. Period. Just a small suggestion, if they can increase bit quantity of rice in meal and can increase some bucks as well if required. In that case I shall be eating more food always 😬. Must try place for Goan food.
Carol
When you are away from home and miss mummas food this is the place to be. It's a small but beautifully decorated restaurant. You can enjoy your meal with soft goan music playing. From ros omelette to xacutti and vindahlo..it's all just yumm and authentic. The service also is very good, very courteous servers.
Kumaresh Prusty
Best quality staters available here. Foodie who like seafoods a must visit restaurant. Moderate ambiance but good quality food. Price is little bit higher but it's ok.

Amazing ambience...great food..check out some authentic goan dishes here....definitely worth trying. Would recommend to anyone who appreciates good food.
Very close to the Goan taste I'd say and I'm saying that because I've lived there my whole life, service is a little slow they can definitely work on that, also they can include more Goan dishes which would and could add to their clientele!
Pratik Soni
Visited this place for lunch today based on zomato rating. Must say it's an over hyped place which does not even maintain the basic hygiene.
The floor was absolutely dirty and a thick layer of dust on the lamp shades. They have an open kitchen with ungroomed staff. The food was very average. To top it up you have staff who would pass special remarks if you ask for salt saying "rice k saath khaaenge to Kam hi lagega" and ddnt even think for once that they can forget to add salt.Extremeley poor experience

I love this place, its very quiet and pretty looking, even though its tiny, it has goa written all over it.
Its one of the best for goan sea food, i loved tye prawn curry and surmai fry, two of the must try dishes!!
I have been to this place quite few times. If you are seafood lover then this place is heaven for you.

I love Goan preparations of sea food and this place serves the purpose as name suggest.

You’ll get almost of the items in main course and starters in all reasonable prices.

Restaurant has basic setup and it’s not fancy. But it’s neat and clean and service is decent.

I tried pomfret rava/masala fry, prawns rava fry, curry and rice and few more items and all were tasty. Most importantly fish are fresh. Try solkadhi in drinks and also Caramel custard is must try in desert.

Cafe Goa, was on my list from long long time.
Finally visited for late lunch, was lucky as it was thier closing time.
Ambiance 2/5 : Was average, nothing great. Flies all over the place maybe due to the mansoon climate. BUT the food covers up for everything.
Service 4/5 : Quick Service and the food was served well on time.
Food 5/5 : Ordered Surmai Curry & Rice - Awesome, Delicious and perfect blend of spices used.
Rus Omellete : Omelette with Xacuti gravy and Soft Buns, Just loved it. Xacuti gravy was mind blowing.
Will be visiting soon to try other items on the menu.
GREAT FOOD TEAM CAFE GOA.. !
ALL THE BEST !

One of those hidden gems of Viman Nagar. I don't know why we didn't come often. We had come when they had just opened and had loved the food back then, it is amazing that the food has improved even further. The service is spot on and the quality of fish is impeccable. Will make sure this time around we keep on coming here. Had the surmai tawa fry and the veg Goan curry and rice. Both were beautifully prepared and made our day.

Cafe Goa
Viman Nagar, Pune

Goan Food.. One of my favorite cuisines which i love to cook and also relish. I have read a lot about this place on our group and just a couple of days ago Manjula wrote about her experience too.

She insisted me to come over to taste the food. I told her yaar coming all the way from Aundh Road to there and that too at 6:15-30 pm.. Full traffic scene... But she wouldn't budge... Achha chalo yeto i said... So we planned to have dinner yesterday evening.

Reached there @ 6:30 pm.. I guess we were too early. The guys were setting up the place.. I told them we will go for a chakkar and be back, but the very kind and jolly captain asked us wait for 5 mins. And yes he did set up a table for us and asked us what would we preder to order.

To start with we ordered.. Surmai Rava Fry and Prawns in Recheado Masala.
Surmai was super fresh.. No doubts about that.. Perfectly fried to taste.

About the Prawns Recheado Masala.. I maybe wrong.. But i have never come across sliced onion in that masala. One could pass this prep as Prawns Sukkha or similar.. Being that it still had that tangy punch which is needed in that masala. Cause whatever that was it was delicious.. As i wrote about the Surmai being fresh.. The prawns were similarly fresh.

Fish Curry Rice... Ohhh this one took me straight to Fishermen Cove, Candolim.. My most favourite place in Goa. आई शप्पथ लई भारी.. Is the compliment. Boss you guys just got this dish right.

Manjula had to take pack up some veg food for her place.. I said why Veg 🤷‍♂️ and that to Goan🤦‍♂️. So we came across a rice prep.. Veg Caffreal Biryani or Rice (Forgot the Bill at the place). I requested the server to get the dish at the table and then parcel that. I had a dig at the rice.. Simply awesome.. Never have had any Goan Veg till date 😜😜.

After relishing the delicious food we actually forgot to go to Apsara ice Cream which is mandatory on every Viman Nagar Trip 😥

Overall a very neat and clean place to enjoy fish and other Goan Delicacies.

Do visit the place Guys
Soham Dave
Lovely little place to take you back to the lazy shacks of goa. Authentic goan menu and the quality is superb. Mario Miranda on the walls and Ras omelette on your plate, the feeling is awesome. Even the music was soothing and the taste will make you forget that you are in Pune and if you can't forget that, you will surely make another goa plan while eating in Cafe Goa.
Mayur Jaisingh
Ordered squids masala fry and rawa surmai fry, prawn curry, sol kadi and rice. One place which comes the closest to goan style cooking in pune. Highlight was the rawa surmai fry. Konkani songs added to the whole experience. A very good place.
Sharmain.dlima
It's a cute little place with Goan touch. The music playing at the background is Goan too.. Its an authentic Goan joint . Their fish frys to their vindaloos moving further the Cafreal biryani and prawns biryani rocks. I have been here can't count how many times.. Every time they set up an expectation higher than the last one. Lovely food... Do try their Caramel Custard too good! Best place for Goan food in pune!!! *Happyme

I am a Goan and a foodie and a seafood fan. So when I review, do take it seriously.

This place is undoubtedly one of the best Goan food joints outside of Goa. The taste is just the way you will get in Goa. In my first visit, I only stuck to fish and did not try chicken or vegetarian items. May be I can review it again.

I tried the prawns and kingfish rawa fry as well as the bangda. Trust me, it was the best I have eaten in Pune. Fish was fresh, taste was delicious and ambience is just too good to be true.

I am visiting this place again. Soon !!

This place is situated In a quiet corner of viman nagar and is my go to place for good old prawn curry n rice Goan style. Simple neat and clean ambience. Nothing too flashy. Simple layout but good honest food. By honest I mean fresh food. No gimmicks.. Try out their pomfret masala fry and their rawa fried squids too. Bang on perfected. Fresh crispy well done with the right amount of masalas and will give ur spirits a lift for sure. I often go and try their rus omelette which reminds me of the Goan rus omelettes at Mapusa . Try out a simple Goan experience. Akash the owner is mostly around and will greet you with warm smiles. Enjoy Goan food at its best In Pune.

Visited this place after a lot of hype by my friends. The location is easy to find and in a quiet environment. Limited seating option with an open kitchen.

Quite honestly the hype and ratings on Zomato is not justified. It’s way over hyped and way over priced. A limited menu. Surmai and pomfret rawa fry were the same as you’d find in most places serving seafood. Prawns curry rice - decent taste unfortunately served with very less rice.

The pricing is Definitely not justified. A one time experience though. Above all, a Goan place that doesn’t serve one dish with pork!!! No Goan sausage or pulao or sorpatel!!! A major turn off.

P.s. to the management, wish you guys all the best. Also I think you’ll should look into cleaning the restaurant a bit. The beautiful brick walls have layers of dust sitting on them and so do the lamp shades above the pass in the kitchen. Could the dirt fly into the food, possible right? Plz maintain basic hygiene that’s visible to a customer.

This was surprise visit for me..
Homely comfort food..!!
Authentic goan prawns curry and surmai..!!
Small but cozy place for lunch/dinner..!!
#musttry

I want to give 4.5!
I think it's a new trend in the city, really small cozy joints serving authentic tasty cuisine at pretty reasonable rate. This is a small place with the sitting capacity of approx 20 people. Polite and helpful staff, Goan music in the background and great food.
Being a seafood lover we almost tried every dish they are offering, pomfret and surmai steam fish, surmai and bangda rava fry, bangda fish masala, chicken xacuti with fresh pav, squid rava fry and finally surmai vindaloo curry. I had a small concern, rava fry coating was bit thick and squids were not fresh, rava fry had extra turmeric which was overpowering the original fish taste. Nothing bad but over all rava fry could be improved. Xacuti could be made little more spicy (It might be biased opinion as I prefer spicy food)
Apart from this I enjoyed every single dish,Vindaloo was spicy and tangy as expected, pav were fresh and tasty. Bangda masala tastes great, typical Goan spices used to marinate the fish which actually improves unique taste of bangda. This place deserves a special mention for an amazing steam fish in butter garlic sauce. Pomfret totally melts into your mouth, feels more like having a Malai. Smooth, delicate texture of pomfret enhanced with right amount of butter and garlic.
Many more visits to come to enjoy this steam fish.

Located in Sakore Nagar, small place with limited sitting arrangement.

Ambience is good with Brick work on wall & simple Light work with Bamboo on roof was drawing attention.

Prawns Rawa Fry was served very well & was excellent in taste. Pomfret Rawa fry & Fish Curry alongwith Rice was great combination.

They don't serve Roti or Chapati, instead they have Pav plate serves 4 breads to eat alongwith curry & fish fry.

If you want to have authentic Goan food, then this is the place in Pune.

🍞🍚🍛🐬🐟🐠🦈🦀🦐

Ambience: 5/5
Food Taste: 5/5
Service: 4/5
Hygeine: 4.5/5
Value for Money: 4/5
Ordered chicken vindaloo. Recieved chilli paste with 2 pieces of chicken. Complete bad experience and waste of money and food.
My honest rating will be -5.

Went here yesterday to try out some Goan food. We started with Sol Kadi , Squid Masala Fry and Prawns Butter Garlic. Post this we had Chicken Vindaloo, Surmai Curry Rice and Prawn Curry Rice. Post this we had Portuguese Pudding and Caramel Custard for dessert. Some of us liked the dessert and some didn't. All in all a decent place to try for Goan food.
Cost for 2: ₹235. Ordered from Uber Eats
This is one of the best places to have the authentic Goan food
Located in the lane of Viman Nagar, this tiny little place offered Goan food. The ambience is very simple but lively - all Goan music and atmosphere It’s not recommended for vegetarians as the option is way too limited and not good in taste
For sea food - it’s lip smacking
Caramel Custard ordered in the restaurant is ₹50 while on Uber Eats surprisingly is for ₹80. First place serving Caramel at this cheap rate.. the food is worth every penny
Do try the Chicken Xacuti and prawns curry is a Must

One thing I must say the food is awwwwwesome. Heard about this place from office friends so visited this place. I must say this has been one of the best places I have visited as a foodie, the taste is the only thing to write this review. Ordered a surmai fry with prawns gravy and rice and my god all of them were yum with a pure Goan ethinic taste. Would surely recommend a foodie to visit this place will love the food. The one thing they need to work on is their place as it's too small.

I have ordered food delivery and also eaten-in countless number of times at this restaurant.
For two simple reasons - their delicious food and the cozy feel at the restaurant.

The food is authentic Goan, their fish curry rice is just too perfectly amazing. My usual order is prawns curry rice with a plate of pav (to dip in the curry an eat. Do try, its amazing). I also love butter garlic prawns and masala and rawa fried fish. Almost all dishes are tempting here, service is friendly and quick. Definitely a lovely place for a delicious dinner.

Cozy little place to try some really delicious sea food Goan style! We went all the way to try the food ad we had heard about the food so much.
Small place with limited tables.
Ordered for some prawns and pomfret. Really liked the taste and quantity. It’s a pocket friendly place!
Definitely be back to try some more.

Good restaurant for fish lovers. Size of restaurant is small in size but dont go on size as they serve one of tasty and good sea food in Viman Nagar. We ordered Surmai masala fry, boild Pomfret and must try Prawns curry rice its just awesome. Infact my wife dont like Prawns but this time she just loved it. They dont have too much options in their menu but whatever they have i think its tasty. So must try.. Restaurant...

Cafe Goa is a small joint in a lane behind Nexa Showroom in Viman Nagar and a delight for any seafood and Goan cuisine lover.

Went their for dinner late in the night, it was very quiet and food was simply amazing. This place has everything authentic, be it the cuisine it serves or music it plays and tranquility of sea side areas.

Cafe Goa has minimalistic arrangements in terms of seating and ambience but this doesn't puts off a person who wants to have something authentic.

Service is good. Food is super...super...super. Had rus omelette, surmai rava fry and pomfret curry with rice in coconut gravy. Loved it.

Must visit.

Cafe Goa
The place in Pune where you can get good Goan cuisine.
Place is a bit small but who cares if you r getting real Goan food in Pune.
Must a visit place to have Goan food.
Must try is their Rus omelette which comes with xacuti gravy n two pav. Ideal recipe to awake your taste buds n to get ready for the food journey.
Chicken Caldin is less spicy which also comes with two puffy pav.
Vindahlo prawns curry with rice is just out of this world. It’s bit spicy n bit tangy in taste.
Can’t miss a glass of sol kadhi.
Very much Pocket friendly outlet.
If anyone is looking to have a Goan cuisine then should try out this place.
Looking forward for many more visits.

If you love sea food you have to eat here. The fish was super fresh. You can get near authentic Goan food here. I was surprised to see Ros omelette in Pune. Before ordering fish, I had Ros omelette and it was as good as the one you get in Goa.

We ordered fish fry. Food was not good. Very less choices of items. Price and food quality doesn't go hand in hand. Fish fry masala taste was bad. Atleast rawa fry was edible. Small place and ok ok types interiors.
Small restaurant serves authentic Goan cuisine. For an hour we spent there I thought I was home. The chicken caffreal was perfect.😍 Tried Ross omelette, chicken caldin, surmai fry.

The xacuti gravy in Ross omelette was delicious. Felt Coconut flavour( milk) was bit more, but nevertheless tasty. The caffreal was the star of the night made the travel all the way from kothud worth.

Ambience was average. They have a fair collection of konkani songs 😀 while you enjoy your food.

The place was good. Ambience is also good even though they have less space. Music is very lively. And food was amazing. Rus omlette is the must try dish. Also tried prawns. It was amazing in taste but little costly.

Service-5/5
Food - 4/5
Ambience - 3.5/5

Best place for seafood in Pune. The fish starters are a little over priced. My favorite dish here is the fish fry and prawn Curry and rice. It is a must have at this place. Amazing food and good service. A five on five to this place.

Awesome place with traditional goa cuisine. Friendly and welcoming staff. The place is a bit small and can surely make more business if tables are increased.

Ras omlette, garlic prawns and pomfret curry are a must try here.

This is for Swiggy as Zomato doesn't prefer catering Home Deliveries here even when the restaurant prefers Zomato. The seafood here is worth dying for.

Looks can be deceiving! Literally a small open styled cafe, with fav reviews, and the first look of it can turn your hopes down. But if you are true foodie you will not worry about that. And the place doesn't disappoint either.

Certainly they need to work on their interiors if they plan on attracting more customers. Very plain and compact seating with an open kitchen. Maybe slight modification will just lift this place to some other level.

Coming to the main point that is the food we ordered Surmai Rawa Fry and Pomphret Masala Fry for starters and for mains we ordered Pomphret Vindaloo, Prawns Vindaloo and Prawns Caldin curries along with steamed rice. Well to start of, this whole seafood fare was very fresh and very well portioned. Rawa fry was crisp and masala fry was spicy, both equally good in their own respects. The Vindaloo curry was a tamarind based tangy and pretty spicy, while the Caldin curry was coconut based and had subtle flavours. Both were good, but my personal favourite was the Caldin.

All in all it is perfect seafood culinary on display here. Prices slightly high, but that is what fresh seafood deserves. The service is also very good, open for suggestions. Lovely experience!

This cafe is situated at Sakore Nagar (close to Nexa showroom). There are limited seating options but we were lucky to get a table just next to the cooking section. Yes, the kitchen is just next to you but it is so wonderful to see food getting cooked in a very calm and composed manner (even though the place to cook is also limited, kudos for that). Goan music in the background is very soothing.

Food:
1. Pomfret masala fry: It's spicy but the masala is too good, plus the fish was very soft and salad on the side complemented the entire dish. 😋
2. Bangada curry with rice: The gravy tasted better than the fish. The fish was also soft and tasty but everybody was just talking about the gravy.
3. Iced Tea: Nothing great, so if you don't order you won't miss anything.
4. Lime Soda: This one is a better option than iced tea.

Service:
Staff is very polite and serves with a smile. Thanks to Sanjay and Mahim for their quick service. Thanks to chef Brindaban for serving delicious food and for seeking feedback as well.

Suggestion:
Please check with the guests whether they want their starters and mains served together OR starters followed by mains. Since space is an issue, having everything together on the table tests your ability to "adjust". Life here is anyway full of adjustment, so please do help with this. :P

Thanks for serving amazing food and all the best to the entire team. Keep serving those delicious dishes. 👌

Overall:
Food: 4.5/5
Ambiance: 3/5
Service: 4.5/5
Value For Money: 4/5

Well, seafood in pune is not such a bad deal after all. My wife recently started liking seafood. That's the reason for scouting out as many new places as possible.
Cafe goa is located in sakorenagar (viman nagar). The ambience is nothing great to speak of. In my rating system however, taste carries disproportionate weightage!
We ordered the chicken caffreal, surmai and pomfret rava fry, surmai curry, solkadhi and caramel custard. While everything was delicious, the curry was perfection. I ended up eating a lot more than usual (and regretted later). It had the perfect tang that I look for in fish curries. The overall bill was reasonable vis-a-vis the number of dishes. The only feedback would be to make the fish fry a little less oily.
I was famished by the time we reached. Fortunately, the service was lightning fast. . Alsoe goan music in the background adds to the whole goan vibe. Highly recommended!

Cafe Goa was well a disappointment in some way.
For starters we order Squid Rawa Fry & Prawns Butter garlic. They were average in taste.
The Rus Omelette was down right bad.
The pomfret curry & rice was really good though. The fish was fresh and the curry was delicious as well.
Ambience was decent with some good local Goan music and the decently priced.

Authentic and the best Seafood I have ever tasted. This cafe is small place in Vimannagar, and a very happy cafe with soft Goan music playing you will fall in love with this place. We visit this cafe almost every Sunday and have tasted all the dishes here.
Prawn curry and rice is just out of the world, you have to try this and also try Prawn curry with pav (ask them to warm the pav with some butter). Surmai rava fry, Prawns Stir fry with pav, Squid rava fry, Solkadi, Chicken Xacuti, and Caramel Custard are my all time favourite.
A food coma after the meal is guaranteed!!
