Review Oblique Kitchen - Pune

A good restaurant in the Kothrud area. The ambience and the vibe is great over here. The restaurant serves alcohol too. The food is great but the quantity is way too small. Avoid the Honey Chilli Baby Corn and opt for Nachos if you are going veg. For non veg, the Chicken Malayali Kebab was great but again, the portion size was too small. Mind you, the veg options are highly limited here. However, the one dish I liked the most was their pizza. It was extremely delicious and at par with some famous pizza restaurants like Le Plaisir and Joey's in Mumbai. We customized our pizza to have chicken and bacon on it and the pizza was mind-blowing. 10/10 for the pizza! Their rices like Dal Khichadi and Singapore Rice were also great. Overall, a great restaurant but mainly for pizza. For all the other items, rival restaurants in the area have a much bigger selection and slightly better taste too. But the pizza here was the big kahuna! They give the bill with some nostalgic Parle Kismi toffees which was a nice touch!

Oblique Kitchen is located near City Pride, kothurd. a perfect place for leisurely dinner with few drinks. The ambience nice and welcoming. Service was great. Outdoor seating also available. We ordered (veg.) Loaded nachos- recommended bakarwadi chat- you can taste everything except bakarwadi. Cottage Cheese & Spinach Medley- highly recommended. Yavasura Bombay Boheme IPA beer- recommended I don't know why but I used to it's a costly place. But I was wrong. It's an affordable place. Nice place to spend quality time with family as well. Limited 4 wheeler parking available.

Great place. Quite , good ambience and perfect taste. Real fine dining experience Not surprised that they completed 7 years It has become a regular place now. Today had a chance to have breakfast. Masala Omlette was good. Aloo Paratha needs some enhancements, due to fine dining place expectations are high.

Perfect place for lunch This place is located near City Pride Kothrud . The ambience of this place is nice , clean and big. I prefer sitting at the second floor . There is also music at this place which feels pleasent while eating. Food The quality of the food is unbelievably delicious . The quantity is more than enough for a person . The mocktails are standard . The food is a bit expensive but its worth it. For the main course you should taste the butter chicken . The food tastes amazing. A variety of options in the veg and non veg menu are available. The menu is unique and attractive. Kids menu is available. Alcohol is served. Service is quick. The staff is polite. The owner himself takes care of the quality of service. Very popular among the customers. Advance booking is advised. Parking is not sufficient.

Oblique Kitchen is a perfect place for leisurely lunch. The ambience nice and welcoming. Service was great. We primarily ordered starters Honey Chilli baby corn, Paneer and crispy Rumali roti. All starters were really good. Khau Soi was our main dish but unfortunately it didn't match our taste that day. Still I would definitely like to visit the place again sometime

Ended up visiting this place as the place we intended to visit had a long waiting queue. We ordered a gin and tonic,beer,cheese jalapeno croquettes,tandoori broccoli and veg stroganoff. Pros: 1) Great ambience with loads of privacy. 2) Good place for a romantic dinner. 3) Cordial and welcoming staff 4) Good food with great starters 5) Wide menu 6) Great Dessert display. 7)Good cocktails. Cons 1) Located inside a tiny lane and no valet so avoid taking suvs here 2) Inside seating is not as good as the exterior. 3) Had ordered veg stroganoff and honestly it was a disaster. They had put veggies in Alfredo sauce and served it with rice. 4) Closes early as compared to similar restaurants. 5) Service is slow and food takes a bit longer to be prepared. Will defined visit again whenever wish to have a relaxed,romantic and quiet dinner date.

Lovely setting!! The ambience sets you up for a great mood to have fun with your family or friends. The food quality is really good with the service being equally nice. Would surely recommend for people to try out.

Great Ambience, food and service. Some unique offerings on the menu! Loved the 'Drums of Guntur' Chicken starter! Didn't particularly enjoy the Cottage cheese starter. Lemon coriander soup was nicely done and so was the Kheema-Pav. Very courteous staff. A bit pricey for the portions offered. A must visit place nonetheless! Decent parking space around. Recommended!

This place is awesome with superb ambience. The service staff is very supportive, polite and cheerful. Wide variety of food options and taste is really delicious. Even kids enjoyed it to the fullest. This is highly costly place but everything (ambience, service and food) justify it.

I saw this place had an amazing menu and decided to get food delivered from here. I ordered the following two dishes: Sticky pork ribs Chicken Basil lettuce cups I would like to start with the chicken basil lettuce cups; this was basically ground chicken, sautéed veggies and rice that is to be assembled in a lettuce. Now coming on to the actual taste and cooking. The chicken was cooked and seasoned very well and the flavour was on point. The whole combo tasted really good. I would definitely recommend this dish. Now coming to last but definitely not the least, The sticky pork ribs; This dish is a must try for everyone that loves pork. Cooked so beautifully that it was falling off the bone. It was packed with flavour and just sticky and delicious. One of the best pork ribs I have ever had. I would definitely recommend this dish. They have really cool dishes in their menu. Will definitely order from here again.

Awesome place and a I surely recommend this for your friends, family and you. Really nice ambience. The resataurant serves both continental and Indian dishes. There are many tables available. Restaurant consists of an another floor which mainly serves beverages and drinks. The tables are set very neatly. Taste is really very good and quantity is more than expected. I went here during the 'breakfast hours'(7.30 to 11 Am) and ordered a Japanese Egg Benedict. The egg was well cooked and the chicken was flawless. The restaurant is in the heart of kothrud but is away from traffic. Around 7 cars can be parked in their reserved parking space. Valet parking is available for more cars. We were 15 people and it cost us just 7000Rs. Staff is polite and act fast. Service is good. The staff is always happy to help.

Very good family restaurant to visit. Nice quite place with enough parking for 2 & 4 wheelers. Even you can park on road as its very calm & quite road though it's very near to famous and crowdy spot. Variety of food with tasty and well decorated dishes. Staff is well equipped and polite. Hotel maintains hygiene and follow all covid prorocols. Costing wise it's ok but portions seemed little less in comparison with other hotels. Overall nice place to visit with family over weekend.

Loved the place, had an amazing time here. Service - fabulous, very polite and prompt servers made sure we had everything we needed. Food quality - amazing. It's hard to find such good food with this level of variety. It's very refreshing to find such a good variety of cuisines infused with the local taste yet keeping the original flavour in. Price - I'd say the price was last on my concern but even so I was not worried at the end of the night. Alcohol - you have quite a good range of alcoholic drinks available here. Parking - there's ample parking down the lane and they have their own space as well.

Place is perfect for fine dine experience with family and friends. Ambience is simple and elegant. they have wide spred of menu, from indian, asian Japanese and continental dishes. have lots of options for kids. menu is 33 pages long 😉. Sushi is nice to try. food was delicious. they have limited parking space, but can find space in nearby.

Though I was a frequent customer to this place in the pre lockdown time, the home delivery order I recieved yesterday was a total mess.. I placed online order for Veg Arabiata Pasta (mentioned spaghetti as my choice of pasta) and still I recieved 'Penne'. There was no call for confirmation about this change from the restaurant..Taste was also amiss. Since it was a home delivery I was helpless but to eat it. Extremely disappointed😖😒

Butter Chicken was pathetic. It was more than 450 rs but no where near to whats called a butter chicken.

The best red wine jus I’ve had. Chicken was tender. Sauce was rich and succulent. Mashed potatoes were cooked to perfection. The only problem i had was the baked veggies were a little bland for my taste. Over all 5/5 dish. Definitely worth a try.

Its a beautiful place located right in midst of a residential area beside Karishma society. They have one of the most wonderful ambiences in Kothrud if you happen to visit this place on an evening.It provides you with a very calm and a relaxed vibe....the food is great especially the appetisers! The staff and the owner are equally polite and friendly but found the staff a bit under experienced when it comes to their information on the cuisine. I was a bit unsatisfied with the burnt garlic friend rice that we ordered as it was way too under seasoned and tasted bland. All in all a great place with the only drawback being that they do not serve alcohol. I would definitely visit this place again!

It was long due visit to this awesome place , which turned out a to be a hit 💃🏻 <br/><br/>Tried their new entry in craft beer - Maccha - Coriander & Lemon / Banana flavour , the former one is mild , suited me, but the best part is they have BOGO on free, so you get to have both.<br/>If u r going with a bunch of friends , you can enjoy 2000 ml at the cost of 1000ml 😎🍻<br/><br/>Chicken Ghost Pepper Kebab - Tandoori spicy chicken kebabs served with salad , pita bread & dip. Visited this place with friends recently. The ambience is pretty cool. Also they have a good range of cocktails - our choice was Golden shadow - a wonderful drink. The food was good - we had ordered cajun mac n cheese sticks, cottage cheese black pepper, mushroom spagetti and farmhouse pizza. We didnt like the pizza much however rest all was very good.

Amazing place in Kothrud. Ample space and great food. The ambience is good and service as well. I visited Oblique kitchen with my family yesterday and the experience was quite mediocre. The ambience was nice, good staff and valet. The food was overpriced and the quantity was too less. We ordered Nachos and got fried chicken cutlets! Hilarious! And the staff did not find it unusual. Rest of the starters were quite nice. Coming to the main course, we ate quite a lot of starters and ordered just one burnt garlic rice, now comes the funny part, we were served a small bowl of rice (soup bowl size) and it costed 155+taxes! Hilarious again. At least serve decent quantity to the customer when you are charging a lot. Quite disappointed we asked for the bill and left. I would think twice before visiting again as there are other better restaurants in the same area serving better or similar food with good quantity and smiling faces!

A group of 10 adults, we ordered the Beetroot Carpaccio and Thai ribbon salad among other things. Full marks to the freshness and taste, albeit the bonsai portions served. The beetroot salad literally comprised 4 beet flakes, 5 rockets and 2 cubes of feta; an absolute shocker!!!<br/>Will highly recommend the French press coffee ice cream...exquisite.

Good place with quick service! Melon berry lemonade and Blue berry ciders are good mocktails. For starters Nachos Jalapeno Sticks, Buffalo Chicken Popper and Mushroom Yakitori are a must try. Spaghetti and Bacon in cheese sauce and Black pepper veggies in main course is good and filling.

Coconut and Beetroot soup- Simple, light and decent. New to try.<br/>Cottage cheese black pepper- Hot, spicy (not acidic spicy) and yummy<br/>Thai Paneer Uramaki Sushi- New for me...it was kind of okay<br/>Amritsar Chole with Kerala paratha- chole were decent good and Kerala paratha were crispy and buttery.<br/>Smoky Paneer Makhani- So so good and buttery. <br/>A few days back I visited Oblique with a few friends for lunch. As usual the food was delicious. I want to mention a few things that made Oblique stand out from other places. My friends had ordered a beverage but it was not available at that time. 10 minutes later the server came back to say that they had arranged for the beverage. This is fantastic service. Also, I ordered a pasta for my small kid, not spicy but not bland either. The pasta was prepared to perfection, not spicy nor bland but full of flavor. I usually have a hard time finding a good pasta dish for my kid. They either make it too spicy or too cheesy and creamy. The chef at Oblique had managed just the right balance. The filter coffee was superb, one of the best in town!<br/>Bottled water is served at no extra cost.<br/>Different seating options to suit the time of day and mood, contemporary ambience, good hygiene and finding parking easily add to the comfortable experience. Definitely looking forward to visiting again.

We had been here a few times earlier but the dinner planned yesterday for the birthday of my daughter in law was a disaster. Very poor service, staff unable to follow the requests, deliveries taking long time, sequence gone for a toss.<br/><br/>Waiting for 15 min for Roti was frustrating. We had to abort the dinner and ask for the bill which too took 20min that too over changed. Not much changed when we highlighted the situation to the manager. Similar situation on a few more tables.<br/><br/>I was surprised by the steep decline of service level at this restaurant.<br/><br/>

This place has huge potential, best location, ample space, good menu and nice ambiance. They just need to work on the service speed. Also why serve bottled water, why not give option of filtered tap water.

The place is really nice and looks bit fancy.<br/>I like the booths they made which has kinda decent diner vibe!<br/>Food menu is fab but I loved their desert menu! Not many places has coffee flavored ice cream which has actual coffee grounds in it!<br/>Loved their bailey creme brulee which has a caramelized thin crust which is fun to break and eat with the beulee.<br/>Let's I like their filter coffee not a lot places where I can say that!<br/>Upstairs there will be fun for matches and stuff cuz they got huge flat screen! This place is located in the heart of Kothrud. Valet Parking is available. Booking on phone was easy. Staff is courteous and efficient. Ambience is nice inline with current industrial theme. They have sports screenings. About the food - it was delicious. A mix of different cuisines and ingredients. We ordered following -<br/><br/>1. Thai Paneer Uramaki - An indianised version of Sushi with Paneer n Garlic Rice. Paneer was crispy and the combination tasted wonderful.<br/><br/>2. Nachos Jalapeño Sticks - Jalapeño Cheese Balls coated with Nachos were served with Mustard Mayo. It was good too.<br/><br/>3. Exotic Penne Barbaresco - Penne pasta in pink sauce i.e. mix of tomato n cheese. Pasta was well cooked, the sauce was delicious and creamy. We really liked it.<br/><br/>4. Amritsari Chole - One of the best Chole I have tasted till now. Very well cooked, correctly spiced and creamy gravy. We had it with Kerala Malabar Paratha as suggested in one of the reviews. Visited this place located in a narrow lane in Kothrud next to Joshi railway museum.<br/><br/>I ordered non veg appterizers Buffalo Chicken Popper which was crispy and decent..not that great.. and Chicken Ghost Pepper Kebab which was soft and fantastic! I read it on Zomato that it is a must try dish and I would second that! The Choco mint was very refreshing and worth it's name and price!<br/>It was followed by a side dish Soy and Pepper chicken noodles.. which was simply amazing!<br/><br/>This is a good place to visit with family or friends..not too loud.. there's soft music and TV screen as well..<br/>They have space for 4 wheeler parking if you reach early..avoiding the rush hour..The staff was friendly.<br/><br/>One recommendation would be to provide serving forks or spoons with the dishes.<br/><br/>• Ambience: 4/5<br/>• Food: 4/5<br/>• Service: 4/5<br/>• Cost: 4/5

Oblique kitchen is a restaurant located in a small lane opposite Siddharth towers in Kothrud.<br/>After many days I got an opportunity to go out for dinner at a nice restaurant. The restaurant has been styled in the currently trending industrial design. The ambience is good. Music is just present in the background without being too loud.<br/>We started off with #frenchonionsoup which was good and railway #tomatosoup which was tangy and spicy. Next we had nachos jalapeno sticks which were very cheesy but missing in both Nacho and jalapeno taste. We also had buffalo chicken popper which were really good.<br/>For main course we had:<br/>Naga chicken curry with rice - it was delicious. Very spicy with a tomato based curry, it went very well with rice.<br/>Grilled chicken with red wine jus - this chicken was grilled very well and the sauce was mouthwatering. The mashed potatoes were soft and herby.<br/>We also had murg yakhni which was too creamy and tasted only of pepper and which I didn't like at all.<br/>There were also couple of vegetarian dishes but I didn't try those as I was too busy focussing on the chicken!!!<br/>Overall it was a very good experience and good food.

I had been here recently.<br/>1.Good Ambience use of the industrial shade type exterior is creative.<br/>2.i had ordered a cicken gosht pepper kebab-It was spicy and mouth watering when I saw the dish but as I dug into it I saw it was undercooked so that was disappointing.<br/>3.Main course was -chicken caprese steak-taste was mild and the chicken wasn't juicy as it should be.<br/>3.1 I tried a pizza too it was not even near to any average pizza taste so was really very Dissappointed.<br/>4.sweet lime soda- Was good<br/>5.Caprioska-i haven't tasted it but was good to see the presentation of it I hope my partner has liked it.<br/>6.would not visit the place again soon as there are many more new places to tryout better than this one.<br/>7.Rating 2-10 (solely for the Ambience)

Had been here on a weekday afternoon for a lunch with a friend. The place was really quiet then. Nice and easy ambience. The food was fresh and they didn’t skimp on the ingredients. We had the basic noodles but it was full of fresh veggies and we loved it so much that we had another. The sangrias were nice and potent 😉

Very nicely designed restaurant in Kothrud, Great menu. But very very slow service, no one understand the order given ,our order serve after 45-50 min after many request. Very very bad experience.

I visited this place in last week and it was my second visit. When I ordered testers for beer they refused without any reason, they provided the testers during my first visit. Please don't visit this place for a beer during afternoon because they are not interested to serve you. The food is good but I felt that they should keep the consistent policy.

Oblique is a place to try some of the most unique food that u will find in the Kothrud part of town. There was a need for Fine Dining restaurants in this area and Oblique fits into the domain perfectly!<br/>We had some amazing cocktails like Planters Punch and Mojito which were rum cocktails with a nice balance between alcohol content and cocktail ingredients. The Thai paneerr skewers was a unique dish that was extremely tasty along with the Pepporoni Filo for the non veg lovers out there!<br/>The Black pepper veggies and Chilli Basil noodles were beautifully prepared and the Bacon lovers pizza was perfect for a single dish meal and extremely well balanced in terms of taste and seasoning.<br/>The Cookie Dough ice cream was really a different type that u don't get to taste at many places and the Decadent Choclate Mousse was decadent indeed! All in all, a perfect Saturday night dinner.<br/>P. S. The portions are great for a single person so u can a great variety of dishes if u go in a group of 4-6<br/>

The Cajun spiced Mac and cheese was a great dish, rather date like ambience with and comfortable seating. For dessert the chai creme brulé was a delightful and happy ending for all.

After hearing alot of good reviews of this place, I had high expectations. I visited the place on a Sunday night and the staff was quite friendly and courteous.<br/><br/>The food was disappointing. The only thing I really liked was the Lemon Coriander Soup. For starters, we ordered Chicken Alfam Kebab, Crackling Ebi Roll Sushi and Chicken Ghost Pepper Kebab (recommended by them).<br/><br/>Chicken Alfam Kebab was decent. The sushi was terrible. It wasn't well prepared at all. The Chicken Ghost Pepper Kebab was undercooked and too spicy making it inedible.<br/><br/>After that, we only had the Classic Caesar Salad since we'd placed that order along with the starters. The salad was decent, but the quantity could've been better.<br/><br/>We decided to not order more and leave the place as we were really unhappy with the food. They took a long time to get the bill too.

Oblique Kitchen, wanted to visit this place for a long time. From the outside it looks chic and sober, indeed it is. No overvhelming decor, all seems nice and subtle. We had a veg dinner and I don't think I can complain. Everything was at right temperature and flavour. Just wish the bell pepper rice accompanying paneer and mashroom in oyster sauce was seasoned well and had a bit of moisture.<br/><br/>Cheesecake at the end was good...<br/><br/>All in all a nice experience...👍

We booked table for 15+ for the first time. I heard about this restaurant from friend. The experience was pretty good. This is spacious. Great rustic interior. The service was quick. The menu is not typical. It surprises with different food items. It is mostly continental. The single dish menu which you cannot share. Pizza is only option to share. This concept is growing in Pune. Those been to US or European countries will love this. Great variety of alcohol and mocktails. In all great venue to visit again.<br/><br/>Cheers

Very good preparation. One of the best fusion dishes I have ever tasted. The prawns in particular were really fresh and tasty. The service and ambience is also great. This is a must visit restaurant if you are a foody and food lover.

Pleased than punched to find a modern joint in such a small bylane near Karishma society Kothrud (Pune). Nowadays Kothrud is becoming hub for high end pubs & restaurants- good for Western residents who otherwise had to run to other parts of city.<br/>Nice decor, not too loud music, staff was courteous and menu options are quite innovative.<br/>We ordered-<br/>1) drinks- craft beers (weren't chilled),<br/>2)food- butter-garlic Mushroom, gosht pepper chicken kebab and chicken caprese steak. All were wonderful.<br/>Overall great experience. A bit on costly side.<br/>Enjoy

Oblique, a beautifully done place. There are 3 sections to the restaurant. Inside, outside covered and the one i love the most is outside open to sky space with a lot of trees in between. The staff is very polite and suggesting. I ordered for buffalo chicken, sushi and smoked bacon spaghetti. All of them were just too good. Exceptional! I really enjoyed spending quality time at oblique! Cheers guys keep it up!

Ambient place for people looking to enjoy a fine dine experience in Kothrud area. Would recommend the Japanese eggs Benedict and chicken ham & cheese omelette for breakfast; Chicken XO and prawns khadkadla for lunch and dinner.

Horrible horrible service. I had visited Oblique once before for dinner and had found the place decent. Today’s breakfast was a disaster. Firstly there were hardly any people, just 2 tables. Secondly, we placed the order and got one dish at a time. We had ordered 4 dishes and all came at a separate time.<br/>Dish 1: Masala Omelette with an extra side of sautéed Mushrooms - Don’t bother ordering it. Nothing out of the ordinary. You could make a better one at home. Mushrooms which were expected to come along with the dish came right at the end.<br/>Dish 2: Pulled cheesy chicken omelette (2 plates) - not at all cheesy. No pulled chicken. Omelette was stuffed with a layer of cut chicken sautéed in loads of pepper. One dish came early, one came after 10 mins. Since we had ordered everything together, all was expected to come at the same time. Tasteless dish.<br/>Dish 3: Scrambled Egg - Taste ok. Order came last after everyone finished their food. On asking the waiter about the plate, he asked me straight up if I had specified that I wanted everything together. This was really shocking since anyone would expect an order placed together for 4 people will come at the same time.<br/>We ordered coffees and tea. This too came 20 mins late. Taste was ok. Also ordered watermelon juice. Nothing special about it. <br/>When I asked the waiter to call the manager or the owner, both were not available. So basically there is no way for the restaurant to understand what wis going wrong with it. <br/>I am for sure not going to visit Oblique Kitchen again and would warn anyone else from doing so either. <br/><br/>Overall: 1/5<br/><br/>Taste - 1/5<br/>Ambience - 3/5<br/>Service - (-5/5)<br/>Value for money - 1/5<br/><br/>There are many more better options for food in this area. That one lane in Kothrud which now consists of only food joints here and there now has a ideal eating destination.Energizing feel and music will grab your eye without a doubt.<br/><br/>For dining they have indoor as well as outdoor options. I visited on Saturday evening when all the tables were occupied and people were still waiting outside. When u think of the word oblique, it always reminds u of something to do with health and fitness. I cant agree more. The food was healthy and hearty. A very clean and jovial place with a cool ambiance. The best part was the complimentary chaas that is provided the moment u step in and have a seat after coming in from the heat outside. Visited this place on a Friday night. Ambiance was pretty nice however it lacked the vibe. There’s a bar upstairs which was pretty small and boring. We ordered drunken kung pao chicken & Citrus Beer Prawn (don’t remember the name) and it was a mistake. The prawns were bland and the after taste was bad. The drunken chicken was served with flat noodles which were so bad that we couldn’t finish it. Next we ordered a virgin mojito & passion fruit iced tea and the 3 stars are just for these drinks.

I had a table reservation on zomato and arrived on time. Was intimidated by 2 or 3 people , one asking me to go upstairs, one insisting I have to sit downstairs.
