Review Charcoal Eats - Pune

Food Ninja Master
Ambience:- Nothing to get wowed about this place. It's more like a decent take out shop. If you are going to dine in, please go in a group or at least with another person cause there is no music or such thing to entertain a person so you might get bored! The chair and table setup was quite ok which saved the ambience otherwise I would've left. Service:- A single person on the counter (takeouttype) who wasn't able to speak on a clear note. I hardly understood half of the things he said, like he was afraid of me or something!😅 It wasn't just with me but I saw he was behaving the same with the other customers too(1-2 person were there except me). At least they serve you to your table. So service was bit good. Food:- The most important thing i was there for, I had ordered tandoori fries, Bombay masala pizza square, chicken galouti kebab pav, classic chicken biryani and for the dessert strawberry souffle. So in all of this , only the chicken galouti kebab pav was what I appreciated and even the pizza square were quite nice. Biryani I didn't liked and souffle was somewhat ok. It was a moderate dine in experience! Good for quick bites!

Visited this place for a lunch. The meal included Chicken Galouti Kabab, Afghani Chicken Biryani, Chicken Peri Peri Square Pizza and chocolate caramel mousse. The starter Chicken Calouti Kabab was very nice. It was not that dry. So, taste of chicken was felt in every bite of it. The Afghani Chicken Biryani was well cooked. Chicken was in good quantity. IT was not that spicy. You can try out different options if you want spicy biryani. The Peri Peri Square Pizza was best among all the dishes. The base of unique and crispy. It was very light and tasty. The chocolate caramel mousse was delicious. Overall, nice place for a lunch and dinner.

Charcoal eats in one of the famous chain outlets now opened in Pune. I visited the Kalyani Nagar outlet which is in the Mariplex mall. Small pretty decked up cafe with food pictures on the wall. It has good seating with Brighten and lightens up the ambiance. This place has opened almost 10 outlets in Pune. They also do delivery you can order food through their site Coming to the food. The menu is sorted and simple you can have quick bites, starters, rolls, pizza, fries, biryani, and desserts. Paneer Pizza- They have a different concept of pizza not a crust pizza or base pizza but a soft puff pizza with toppings which is square in shape. So yeah, my love for pizza now is not just round but it's in every corner. Barbeque fries- I totally loved the fries here. It was crispy fresh topped with mayonnaise and barbeque sauce. Biryani - This place is famous for its charcoal biryani and yes it was totally worth it. I had veg Afghani one of their signature biryani it was delicious with all spices and essential ingredients. Served hot and fresh. Well, people would prefer a nonveg biryani first. Salted caramel mousse - I want to taste their chocolate mousse which wasn't availed but salted caramel mousse was drool-worthy. The sweetness and salty taste were perfectly balanced. They have few dessert options but they are definitely some best options to satisfy your sweet tooth cravings. The service was good. The only thing that can be improved is stock up the items and increase the number of staff to pay attention to their customers.

Location: This outlet of Charcoal Eats is situated inside the mall called Meriplex in Kalyani Nagar. A very prime location as it on the road where it connects to Koregaon Park. Correctly placed on Google Maps and you will notice when you enter the mall. Ambience: the Ambience is pretty minimalistic as there are two types of seatings. Normal table and high chair tables. I love the lighting it was perfectly lit and perfectly dim. The walls where wallpapered like old walls and some artwork were there also. Food: We first ordered a starter and Tandoori french fries. It took a little bit longer than expected but the only problem was, the starter was cold but we were very impressed with the fries they served. I think they waited for both of dishes to serve at a time and they should not. Then we order the speciality of Charcoal Eats. Biryani again with Tandoori fries both were amazing. We also ordered ice tea peach one. It was okayish I am not sure what it is it was, it was very dull and watery. The overall experience was good but I expect the start they need to work on starters.

Wowww what an delite to be here. I have been to Carnival Cinemas many times but how could i miss to visit Charcoal Eats. The ambience is super classic and feels like you're in different place altogether the arrangement is like super cool. They have comment section where you can actually write what you feel about there food which is great. Coming to the food section they have a variety of menu to taste from starting from classic Veg to Crispy Chicken. We ordered Signature chicken seekh and seriously it is amazing in taste just ask for Mustard sauce with that it is heaven,Peri peri chicken pizza this is topped with Chicken and some of there special ingredients good to have, next is Afgani Chicken Biryani yes it is good but don't expect it to be Spicy as from Name it will have little Masala but it taste awesome again the Chicken was nicely cooked last in the dessert we had Strawberry Souffle makes the cherry on the top it has that sweet taste of Strawberry and gives you a real treat. Spoons will be given in Leaflet they are truely preserving the Nature. So if your passing by or Watching Movie in Carnival Cinemas KalyaniNagar then Charcoal Eats is must. Keep Eating Stay Fit.

Do you wonder where you could statisfy your cravings for Biryanis and Pizzas in Pune? Charcoal Eats is the Right Answer. Serving the right purpose of a delivery kitchen they also offer Dine-in facility with a nice ambiance at various parts of the city. Recently the Bulldogs were called for a tasting table at the Kalyani Nagar outlet. The place maybe small but the ambiance adds up-to the everything you could possibly ask for. The restaurant has a wide range of options like Biryanis, Pizzas, Rolls, Starters, Desserts, etc. The restaurant has Self- Service for the dine-in option. Here's a little sneakpeek to the the food items we were served:- STARTERS:- Paneer Tikka (229 INR):- Although the tikkas were hard and dry, They really tasted good with the perfect mix of spices. Chicken Seekh Kebab (189 INR):- Chicken was perfectly soft and spicy. Chicken Malai Tikka (229 INR):- The Smokey Juicy flavor the the tikkas were so fresh and yumm. BIRYANIS:- Chicken Tikka Biryani (179/299 INR):- Biryanis are not much of my thing but the biryanis at Charcoal Eats are on a much milder side and the perfect blend of spices in the Chicken Tikka Biryani totally worked out for me. Dilliwala Butter Chicken Biryani (199/319 INR):- This is the best from the lot we are talking about. I mean just imagine a bed of Long Grain White Rice over nice mild butter chicken pieces beneath. Damn, after you're done Imagining; Please go and eat this one. :P PIZZAS:- Pizzas are game. The base of these Puff Pizzas are puffy almost as Khaari Busicuits, I don't like Khaaris again, But It worked out for the fellow blogger friends of mine. The three different crusts of various chicken flavors namely Chicken Tikka Pizza (169 INR), Bombay Masala Pizza (169 INR), and Chicken Peri Peri Pizza (169 INR) totally made a deal with the pizzas. And, I must mention that this was the first time i had Chicken Peri Peri Topping on a Pizza that coincidentally went well the Khaari wala PUFF PIZZA. DESSERTS:- Strawberry Souffle (129 INR):- Once in his life, Every man is entitled to fall in love with a gorgeous Read-Head. And This was a Souffle, I don't think i need to say anything else now. :P Note:- If i had to give only one reason to be in love with the place it will be about the price value that i really, really, really, really and really liked. Almost all the items on their menu are priced in a way so that you can enjoy your meals without a big hole in your pocket. At Last, A Big Thank You to Team Charcoal Eats for hosting us over.

Been to the outlet today. First of all I'd mention this in capitals - CHARCOAL EATS OFFERS THE BEST CHHOLE KULCHA EVER!!! Everything right from the taste to the texture, the gooeyness..everything was just the best I've ever had. The Kulcha was nicely layered, smooth and soft and absolutely made out of perfectly knit flour. One point less for the quantity. I think one person should be served two kulchas of the size I had today. And especially when they're of the taste you offer..it kind of leaves the stomach longing for more. The place was nice and calm..dim yellow lights aptly enhancing the ambience. The staff was super attentive. Absolutely appreciable. Charcoal Eats is a super recommendation!!

Good to see Charcoal is back after break, i missed it a lot and used to travel upto Pimple Saudagar over weekend. I liked my first order and surely they will keep their standard for future as well
Loel Sequeira
Good biryani but certainly not enough quantity for what they call the "heavy eater".
Ayan Islam
It has the best Afghani biriyani taste. If you like less spicy but more tasty food like me than this is the place to go. Staff are awesome and very friendly. It's clean and ambience is peaceful

Charcoal eats is an awesome place where you can eat biryani and pizza. They having 10 outlets in Pune area so no need to worry about the quality of food. They serve a variety of loaded fries and biryani which are delicious and quality is really good. They have meals, biryani, and pizza for the combo. The signature biryani recipe white spices, curd, ginger and much more. The base of the pizza is really crunchy. The food we have tried here is: Food- 4/5 * Starters- 1)Paneer Tikka- It is made from chunks of paneer marinated in spices and grilled in a tandoor. Also, it has a flavor of charcoal. The panner was soft and fresh. you must try this. 2)Achari Aloo- The dish was made up of baby potatoes marinated in the house with a blend of pickled spices and was cooked in tandoor. *Loaded Fries- 1)Barbeque- It is an attractive dish and the fries are topped with the special barbeque sauce and garlic mayo. 2)Tandoori- The fries were really tasty. The mixture topping of tandoori spice, spicy sauce, and garlic mayo was so tempting. Even the quality of the fries are good and they are crunchy. The quantity is enough for two people. *Biryanis- Afghani- We were confused to choose biryani. Then the staff recommended us the Afghani Biryani. This biryani is signature of charcoal eats and that really come true. The biryani was flavorsome and sapid. All spices are properly amalgamated in it. You must try this. *Pizza Squares- Exotica veg Pizza- The pizza with crunchy puff and had toppings of corn, mushroom, bell papers. The form pizza was really astonishing. The test of a pizza is good. * Desserts- 1) Chocolate mousse- This is their in-house made mousse. The mousse was so soft, fluffy and creamy. It contains dark chocolate and it is eggless. It is really lovable. 2)Salted Caramel Mousse- The end of the dinner was with the salted caramel mousse. It was richer mouthfeel. It has a denser texture. It was Sweetened mousse and I liked it as a dessert. It was very tempting. Ambiance- 4/5 The ambiance is nice and the decoration of the hotel is quite good. The area is roomy and it feels fresh. The cleanliness is proper. Service- 4/5 Service is fast and the staff is polite and cooperative. They have served a hot and fresh food. Special Thanks to Akshay for taking me Charcoal Eats. Overall, a good place to have eaten when you want special biryani and mixture of loaded fries. you can absolutely try out this place.

An interesting find! Good food - from biryani and pizza squares, to kebabs and chicken kheema stuffed parathas. Also very very nice ice teas (do try the honey mint ice tea), and a superb strawberry souffle. Service is good, but I found that it is more geared towards delivery so there weren't any plates, only containers. Hence the 4 not 5 stars.

We had ordered tandoori loaded fries, aloo Tikka pav wow and paneer Makhani biryanis. The good was good.
Prathamesh Pingle
Delivery was made on time. Aloo tikki rolls was good it was made in malabari paratha, it was quite filling.

I have tried from the charcoal eats outlets in mumbai also. It is a good brand with so many outlets everywhere. Had afghani chicken tikka biryani good flavour overall but a little dry for my understanding of a biryani.
Krishna Kumar
Ordered a chicken Hyderabadi biriyani and an Awadh mutton biryani and both were extremely unedible. Burnt and taste completely unacceptable. Never ordering from here again.
Sugandha Singh
Though the price at this place might seem affordable when compared to other food chain outlets in the mall but the food was simply not worth the amount paid. The quantity offered was also not enough and the bill the two of us paid was ₹600. Should increase the quantity or the make the taste better. And yes service was slow, they made us wait 15-20 minutes when the place wasn't crowded at all.
Vinayak Seth
Yesterday I ordered 3 veg awadhi biryani, we were 5 people who was supposed to consume it, it's was very spicy at the end we have to cook steam rice and mix it with the biryani to make it eatable. And the taste of the awadhi biryani was not even near to awadhi biryani, so guys think before you sell food to anyone and at least make things which can be consumed by any or everyone, just by making things spicy doesn't make dish tasty it spoils the taste and the occasion as well. Can't give zero star worst ever biryani I had in my life.
ANKIT
The best place in the town for chilling with your squad. Their food is something me and my squad craves for. It's our every alternate evening spot after our classes. Their pavs and fries are our forever favourite.❤

Went to this place because my friend asked me to. I personally loved this place. The beverages were extremely mouthwatering. Even the pavwow i had here was very delicious and healthy. You all may definitely visit this place with your friends and family. Amazing place.

I've heard a lot about this place. I visited this pretty comfy place yesterday over my official trip. I tried their rice bowl. It was hot and yummy. It was perfect for my lunch. I must say that I had a scrumptious lunch. You guys should also try their yummy rice bowls and also the roll and mousse.

Charcoal eats already my favorite. Everytime when they come up with something new I always visit this place as soon as possible. So this time I tried their Ramzaan Thaal. It contains:
Mughlai Paratha- It is a super delicious bread.
Chicken biryani- Their biryani are love. The biryani in the thaal makes it more amazing.
Chicken salad- The salad is super yummy and healthy.
Malabari Paratha- Another scrumptious bread in the Thaal.
Dessert- A sweet dish to make your day more marvelous.

Been to this place during my visit to amanora. Food ordered aloo tikki. Tikki was not crisp and taste was like you are eating boiled potato with salt.

Food Highlights : Hara Bhara kabab roll, classic Chicken tikka rolls

Ambience Type : Food court

Service : Good

Price : Bit High

FoodieChef Recommends : Thumbs Up

Both the rolls were wrapped in malabari parantha (i don't prefer much because of thick maida) , otherwise were very delicious and properly stuffed.
Hara bhara kabab was too good and so was the chicken tikka . The other fillings in the roll were very amazing and one roll serves enough diet for one person.
Thumps Up :)
Diana
I ordered Awadhi chicken biryani from here.
The biryani is delicious and definitely a must try. The only problem is whenever I have ordered, I’ve got barely 1-2 very small pieces of chicken. So if you’re looking to save money, I suggest you buy a veg one. Cause it is highly disappointing to just have 1-2 very tiny chicken pieces in the food. Not worth spending.
Deepti Pahwa
They provide a good combination of flavors. I ordered roll and fries combo and the fries were really good. They had a good spice and crunch factor. Good food.
Swapnil Phatak
Taste was good, spices was used in correct quantity and proportion, food was fresh. Quantity of food was not matching with money. Very low quantity.

Charcoal Eats - First learn to cook a Biryani. Then try to understand what a Dum Biryani is and then start selling it. Adding chicken curry to rice does not make a Biryani. Wonder how did u reach 4* rating.
Karan0098
Ordered half butter chicken biryani. Taste was not that great. Good for people for dont like spicy food.. And only two tiny pieces of chicken received which makes value for money zero.
Shubhi Gangele
My first ever order from charcoal eats, and I must say it was a great experience. I tried lemon ice tea, fries, aloo tikki pav. Good packing, good taste, hygienic. I would really like to explore more from their menu.
Sonal Pande
Worst experience..
The man at the counter was very rude.. We booked table from dineout app and they refused payment through it and said you can write whatever you want in review..
There was no crowd still there half of menu was out of stock..

Well, to start with yes, have ordered a few times from here, and the experiences were good each and every time.. Be it with biryanis and pizzas, this place has never failed to amaze me.

One of the safest option to relay on when you are suffer hungry and looking for pocket friendly places.
They are really growing in terms of their branches and with the great response in home deliveries.

I tried,
Signature Chicken seekh starter which was filled with Indian flavours and was slightly spicy.
One of the major attraction of this place is their square pizza. Chicken Tikka square pizza had an extremely thin and crunchy crust. It did lack a lot of toppings and flavours.

Chicken Tikka biryani was a delight. Not very spicy. Was topped with deep fried onions. Had great amount of chicken chunks for one serve and it came with dahi. It is enough for 2 hungry souls.

Chocolate mousse that they serve is one of the best that I had in a long time. It is worth a try and trust me you will order it again and again.

Staff was really quick and adjusting. Overall experience was really good and you will surely visit this place for chocolate mousse.
Little Jar Of Happiness
On my recent visit to Charcoal Eats, I had these following items
• Paneer Makhani Biryani
Mildly spiced, this one tasted really good. Rice was cooked to perfection and there was a good amount of paneer in it. This was served with a cup of thanda dahi!
Loved it! ❤️
• Exotica Pizza Square
This was one unique dish. The base was made of puff and if you close your eyes and have a bite of this, you wouldn't know it's not puff 😅
• Veg Galouti Kebab
I just loved this one! The crispiness was on point and the seasoning on top was just delectable. Highly recommended.
• Signature Chocolate Mousse
This was way too frozen for a mousse. The top layer was just like an ice cream. You get to have the mousse when you reach the bottom. Only if the texture was maintained, this one would have been a good dessert.

Looks can be deceptive and a Hole in Wall place can actually rake up good quality dishes can only be believed only when experienced.

Had the opportunity to visit one such place called Charcoal Eats. The place is literally a hole-in-wall outlet, being located in Amanora Mall Food Court.

One thing that stands out at this place is their earnest focus on serving tasty dishes, with highest quality standards.

My order was a mix of one dish each from their menu spread.

1. Aloo Tikki Roll: the main ingredient of the roll, Aloo Tikki, was really good in terms of taste. Served, rolled up, in a tawa paratha, the combination shouldn’t go wrong. Only drawbacks I felt were the overpowering sauces and huge chunks of onions, which hid the taste of the main ingredient, aloo tikki.

2. Afghani Veg Biryani: one of the best tasting biryani I would have possibly had till date. Fresh, aromatic, spice-infused long grain biryani rice, served hot over a bed of tastiest afghani gravy, and raita, the biryani was to die for.

3. Peri Peri Veg Pizza Square: this one took me by surprise. Pizza toppings over a flake puff pastry base, didn’t really expect it that way. The overall taste was good. It only lacked in terms of taste of the pizza sauce. Sauce was little bit more on the sour side, possibly because of a tad bit excessive use of tomatoes in it.

4. Strawberry Souffle: On taste aspect, it was perfect. Nothing off the mark there. My only issue with it was the souffle cup being overtly frozen. Gave me a feeling of being having a hardened (over frozen) strawberry ice cream

The best part of my meal was the biryani and the accompanying raita. The dry raita mix powder, when mixed in the curd, elevates the taste to another level altogether. Surely recommended to try their biryani's, rolls and starters.

Charcoal eats
Amanora mall, hadpsar

As this one comes under mall food court, less crowded on weekdays. And on weekends its quiet hard to get tables.

*meal for one
_Afghani biryani
_bombay masala pizza
_chicken seekh kebab
_chocolate mousse

1. Afghani biryani
There signature biryani
Ingredients : white spices, curd, ginger, scented cardamom, cream.

Yes it has afghan flavour. Smooth and little sweet. Homogeneous blending.

2. Bombay masala pizza

Square pizza with 4 slices.
Chicken mince, onions, green chilli Chipotle

Unique puff crust.

They do provide chilli flakes and oregano. And gray packet of chatpata masala.

Average taste though.

3. Signature Chicken seekh kebab

There signature recipe of succulent chicken mince, flavoured with mint and ginger, skewered. & Cooked in tandoor.

Nice taste if you finished them when served hot.

4. Chocolate mousse : a small coffe cup filled with lots of chocolate. If u like to eat lots of chocolate then must try.

Overall rating : 4/5

Nicely presented. Extra brownie points for well packed toothpick, wooden small fork and tissues.

They do serve chopped onions and lemon slice. You can ask them for yoghurt with your platter.

Charcoal eats is one of my favourite places whenever I want a quick snack or have a lip smacking biryani.
What all I ate?- Hara bhara Kebab, veg classic hyderabadi biryani, veg exotica pizza square and chocolate mousse.
1) Hara Bhara Kebab- 6 kebabs served with onion and lemon. Its so crispy and delicious. Loved it.
2) Veg Classic Hyderabadi Biryani- It had 2 layers. The below layer was filled with taste filled curry and upper layer with white rice. Tasted perfect on mixing.
3) Veg Exotica Pizza- Crispy pizza with nice toppings served in unique square shape.
4) Chocolate mousse- Chocolaty creamy blast on tongue.

I had ordered chicken mughlai paratha, I was going to eat it after almost 6-7 years. I use to have it during my college days. But very disappointed with the quantity i got here. Not worth at all for Rs. 149 either you can increase the portion or lower ur price. Also the stuffing should be proper and not just in the center portion.

Charcoal Eats has been my favorite place to grab food after the tiresome shopping at Amanora Mall. Charcoal Eats is among one of the places included in the food court and famous for their pizza squares !

Food :
Chicken Till Pizza :
The pizza has a puff base which assures your bread calories are reduced and the toppings with this crisp crust taste even more better ! The Peri Peri Chicken Pizza had spicy chicken chunks over it and I loved how everything tasted so good ! 😍
#HighlyRecommended

Chicken Tikka Biryani :
Loaded with chicken pieces which had the perfect balance of sour and spicy as the marination was on point ! AMAZING in quantity and totally loved the dahi and raita mix.

Chicken Seekh Kebab :
They were so juicy and they had a authentic hint of pudina which just made my day !

BBQ Fries :
These fries were totally on point ! The BBQ sauce and mayo were generously drizzled on the fries and that just made them finger licking good 😍

Chocolate Mousse :
I love the mousse here as it has a perfect balance of richness of milk and the chocolate. It is not too sweet and thus a perfect light dessert at the end of the meal.

Although I love biryanis, this was a clear disappointment. So I had much expectations from this going by the review but I was really disappointed.
I ordered awadhi chicken Biryani and chicken tikka roll, the Biryani was toooo spicy and the roll was too oily..a really bad experience

I was there with a friend of mine. We started with my favorite signature chicken seekh kebabs which we're juicy and perfectly made. Pizza and biryani tasted really good they also provided us with yoghurt along with the biryani. And we ended this wonderful lunch with a chocolate mousse.
With Harshal Suryawanshi

It's a small outlet in Amanora Park Town with common air conditioned seating arrangement of the food court.

We ordered several dishes and found packaging of the food neat and presentable.

Below is the detailed review of the dishes ordered.

Starters
1) Veg Galauti Kebab
Very soft and you could actually make out which vegetable you're eating. Though on a bit oily side, they melted in mouth with amazing taste.
2) Cheesy fries with barbecue sauce
Crispy fries which remained crispy for long in spite of being loaded with cheese and barbecue sauce, one of the best in town

Main Course
1) Amritsari Chhole with Malabari Paratha
The perfect combo of North meets South! I had never thought that chhole can taste so well with the Malabari style paratha
2) Hyderabadi Biryani
The biryani loaded with veggies and paneer tasted so good with Amul dahi+raita masala

Drinks
Peach Iced Tea-It was heavenly!

Desserts
Salted Caramel Mousse and Chocolate Mousse-
Both were delicious and a must try

I was here yesterday for dinner. I had tried this chain long back and didn't expect it to be this good.

I loved the food, its packing and presentation. The menu and prices are pretty competitive compared to the likes of Faasos and Box8. Has an advantage of nice air conditioned seating arrangement courtesy Amanora Mall.

For starters, I tried -

Cheesy Fries with Barbecue sauce
Galauti Kebabs

They both were absolutely brilliant. Kebabs were a bit too soft and oily, but they tasted really nice.

In Main Course, I tried -

Amritsari Chhole and Malabari paratha- The chhole were impeccable. They were absolutely succulent to taste.

Hyderabadi Veg Biryani- Biryani was a surprise again. Delectable all it could have been. It was served with Packed Amul Dahi, which could have been given a miss for a proper raita.

Desserts-

Chocolate Mousse
Salted Caramel Mousse

Both the preparations were too good. Had the salted caramel for the first time and it definitely is worth a try. Chocolate one is good as well.

Definitely worth a try!
Most of the restaurant, including this one cheat people in the name of Biriyani. Joke or what?

Even fried rice would be better, with much lesser cost.

Pathetic taste, no ingredients and not at all a Biriyani, which I ordered.

Moreovee, Portion was less, taste was pathetic. Only good thing was packaging.

Actual rating is 0 star.
Sahir Siddique
Small outlet at the food court but their food is same like other outlets in Pune and Mumbai. We tried the Bombay Masala Puff Pizza Square and Barbeque loaded fries. The combos they sell at a very good price. They are also serving Biryanis @ 99. Everyday different biryanis are available. Good deal for sure.
Calorie Calling

The worst eatery i have ever eaten around the country, i ordered a chicken mughlai paratha for Rs140/- , they served me 4 extremely small triangles of mughlai paratha, also the parathas served were soggy and tasteless, because of eateries like this government should monitor restaurants and set their price-quantity-quality factor....pathetic experience

Not a great place for vegetaranians. May be great for meat lovers.
Had some weird experience not sure if this is the regular treatment for all customers.
After I placed the order and making the payment I did not receive the bill as there printer was not working, upon which staff said I would receive an SMS in which link for Bill would be there. However even after finishing the food there was no SMS received. On complaining each one of the staff members started sending sms to open link of their joint on my phone but actually were clueless why bill was not generated. One of the staff even said that there would be network issue in my mobile, they didn't face any issue while making paytm payment though.
After half hour I was fed up and called their helpline, after which I received the bill link in sms in just few mins.
Strange thing was that the bill got generated only when I called the helpline, evident from the time gap between bill generation and bill payment. May be the joint is claiming gst charges from customers but not paying to the government.
Please be careful with such situation.

Quality of rice was good but the thing is for this price quantity was not that much its like a tasty food but you need to order something along with it to fill up your stomach🤘🏻

Good place to have quick bites. Had a pizza and a dessert which was chocolate mousse. Loved the pizza and even the dessert. Though it is a delivery restaurant only.

Edit:
So I got a call from their supervisor regarding the problem I had faced, and also gave me assurance that such an event was just a one off, and also gave me their number to call in, in case of any issues while placing the order. That was a nice gesture and obviously, restored my faith in one of the best biryani joints. I'm particularly a fan of their kalyaninagar outlet and have ordered from there seamlessly. I'm a big fan of their paneer makhni biryani, and if you're in the mood for something mild, velvety and soothing, you can definitely give it a shot. Happy eating :)

I placed an order through uber eats for paneer makhni biryani (half). Now after about half an hour, I get a call from a lady from the restaurant, saying that they've mistakenly displayed the amount for the biryani on the app, and that I should settle for some other food item that's lower in price. Not to mention she was very rude with the tone. She told me that I'll have to settle with something else. As I had no other option since I was running late, had to obilige with what she said. I mean seriously, who does that? Finally they sent a veg biryani, I had paid for dahi separately, which they also forgot to include. All in all, please refrain from ordering from this outlet, if you don't want to be scrambled around.

Was in pune last month. Visited amanora mall for shopping. Saw charcoal eats there. Had Chicken Mughlai Paratha, Peri Peri Chicken Puff Pizza Square and Salted Caramel Mousse. Chicken Mughlai Paratha was was very nice and mine favourite from charcoal eats. Peri Peri Puff Pizza Square was too good it was a puff base pizza this was something light to eat. Salted Caramel Mousse i have no words it's a must try here.

We tried some super yummy loaded fries at this Charcoal Eats Express counter at Amanora Mall food court. They have Bbq loaded fries which was delicious with crispy french fries. The Peri peri pizza square is made of puff crust which was crunchy and sumptuous.

One of the best Restaurant in amanora mall,
I have eaten a lot of time, it is very tasty,
And very Tasty is there Chicken Baida Roti afghani chicken biriyani , I order 4/5 time per week.

I ordered the Paneer Tikka roll.. The roll could have been very good only if they had used fresh paneer. The gravy was nice..the chappatti for the roll was nice. Just the paneer felt chewy..
Shashikant Bagadia
I had ordered Veg Awadhi Biryani. The packaging was good, food quality standards was pretty ok. But the manner in which the biryani was described and the taste, was nowhere near to expectations. After paying a bit premium the overall experience was similar to just another standard biryani. It was not bad but neither there was charcoal flavour, presecence of panner was similar to salt and the gravey was not at all silky.
Archana Panda
Worst biriyani I have ever tried..quantily was less small peace of chicken and biriyani had no salt.regreting to order.waste of money.i won't recommend this restaurant for online order.

This rating is not about the food quality as we have ordered earlier and was very much happy with the taste, packing etc.. But this time the problem was about the item been prepared and sent wrongly and not willing to accept the error in the system..
We have ordered for plain french fries and got it with full of spice and sauces which at the end is not a edible one for us as we cant eat that sort of spice. On checking up with the restaurant, they replied that its Zomato's system issue and they cannot be responsible.. I believe, firstly the restaurant must check the options available in the menu and see if it works right...
Even Zomato has not addressed this issue promptly and at last its a loss of money and disappointment

Charcoal Eats Express is in the food court of Amanora building. The lady on the counter is friendly and helpful. The tandoori loaded fries is just too good. Crispy french fries served with sauces. The paneer tikka roll was delicious too.

Small place in the food court of Amanora mall..polite staff..served in time..
Quantity- 3/5- enough for one for what I had ordered..
Prices- 2/5- a little high..

Quality- ordered some combo with briyani n some malai tikka..pardon me as I can't recollect the exact name now..

Briyani- 3/5- must say decent enough..with good number of chicken pieces..
Chicken tikka- 1/5- not at all marinated properly..I felt it was under cooked as the paste it would have been marinated - it dint get absorbed..was not spicy thankfully.. but this needs high improvement..

Staff- 4/5- these people really took the time out to actually call me back and ask for feedback..I hope it is incorporated..

Had the Afghani Chicken biryani here. It was amazing. Very different from the regular biryanis. It wasn't too spicy. At the same time wasn't bland. Just the right amount of flavour. The masala was very creamy and rich rather than spicy. Chicken was boneless and still retained it's juciness and was very tender, cooked to perfection. Only problem is that the quantity was a little less.

Finally found a good biryani place near home.

I have been a regular here, especially ordering online since these guys opened in Amanora. Till date I have not been disappointed with the service and/or food. However, I’m compelled to rate them down this time and also write this review to highlight a disappointing experience.

Chocolate Mousse has been a favorite at this outlet and they have until now been very consistent in the quality served. This did not hold true this time.

I have a soft copy of the bill. Order id: 300683 where i had walked in to grab a mousse.

As soon as we took the first bite we could sense something wrong as the regular chocolate after taste was replaced by something very different and tasted like bubblegum or something of that sort.

I immediately walked up to the lady at the counter to give feedback and they weren’t ready to accept that something has changed. They said you must have probably had caramel in the past and hence you aren’t able to make the difference. This was a rude experience as I being a regular customer knew very well what I always order and didn’t need to hear that I could be wrong. There was also this guy at the counter who checked the expiry date and said that the product’s date is updated and hence cannot be stale.

While the date was a latest one there was definitely something wrong with the taste and felt stale. I was hoping for a replacement/ refund or to talk to a Manager but none of this happened as the 2 people at the counter were clueless.

I eventually left without eating what I had paid for and decided to write this review. The Mgmt team reading this needs to consider that for a mere Rs.135/- I wouldnt obviously make up a review and have taken the efforts to write this as I felt genuinely cheated.

Hope to hear back from you guys to see what you can do to change this for me and if not I will never visit again nor recommend to someone else.

Visited this small outlet recently in the afternoon to eat some snacks, but got frustrating experience. I ordered Paneer Tikka and Peri Peri Veg Pizza. Paneer quantity was very less (hardly 5 or 6 small pieces) as compared to its price Rs.229. Quantity of pizza was more than that even though price was less (Rs.169). But the taste of both pizza and Paneer was not so great. Other than filling stomach it didn't serve any purpose. So don't waste your time and money if you are looking for good taste.

1) Value for money - 8/10 (The prices are quiet reasonable for a outlet in the food court of Amanora Town Center)

2) Food & Drinks - 8.5/10 (We had the following food items:
1. The chilli garlic fries - These were pretty good which were loaded with a lots of spices and garlic mayo sauce.2. Amritsari Chole meal - The chole is served with a parantha. The chole tasted very different than your regular bowl of chole. They have a different flavor to it which you might want to try.
3. Exotica Pizza - This is also not your regular pizza. Although the toppings are very similar to a normal pizza, the base is quite unique. It has a similar taste of that of a parantha. Quite good!
4. Paneer Tikka - The paneer tikka did not live up to my expectations. Although it had quite a good tasting masala, the paneer was not very great.5. Veg Afghani Biryani - The biryani rice was of very good quality and the full biryani is served with curd/raita mix. It did have the layered rice structure that a biryani should have but was low on spice for me.6. You can add a peach ice tea to you meal which was pretty good.7. Salted caramel mousse - The salted caramel mousse was the best part of the meal. It had a good flavour to it and was rich in taste and texture. (Must try!)
8. Strawberry souffle - The souffle was really tasteful and was gem to the entire meal. A must have!)

3) Atmosphere - 8/10 (The place is in the food court of amanora mall and there's plenty of shared space to have your meal.)

4) Service - 8.5/10 (The service was quick and our order didn't take much time to be prepared.)

Overall rating - 8.25/10

Charcoal Eats, a small outlet at the food court amanora mall serving fries, rolls pizza and a variety of veg and non veg Biryani! Read a lot of good reviews and got a chance to visit this place and taste the food they offer! Here are the things we tried and how we liked them:

Peach/Lemon Ice Tea: These came in packed bottles and had a couple of more flavours but we ordered the basic ones. The ice tea was watery and wasn’t up to the mark.

Chicken Tikka Fries: These were hands down, one of the best fries I’ve had! They were super crispy, loaded with flavourful chicken, garlic mayo and were not at all soggy (even after such long photoshoots) 😉 A must try!

Piri Piri Fries: They make amazing fries, that is for sure. Because these again were super crispy and the Piri Piri Masala, the mayo and everything was just perfect.

Chilli Garlic Fries: These were again crispy and delicious. The garlic flavour and the mayo tased amazing. Fries are a must try here.

Chicken Pizza: They have a very different pizza, the crust was more like a puff pastry instead of the regular thin crust. It was weird that I actually liked it because I knew it wasn’t right but somehow it tasted good. One can try and decide for self. 🙈

Chicken Malai Tikka: This was one of the things that I loved here. The chicken was flavourful and tasted amazing. Just that it went a bit hard after a 10-15 minutes. It was well seasoned and tasted good.

Paneer Tikka: It was below average, the paneer was hard and did not taste good.

Achari Aloo: This was literally like sukhi aloo ki sabzi, and all we missed were some hot puris 😁 This was something I disliked the most among all!

Delhi Butter Chicken Biryani: Their Biryani was quite nice. Though I did not loveeee the taste of it but it was pretty decent and the quality was good too. A good dish in short.

Chocolate Mousse: It tasted okay but the texture of the mousse turned me off! It was frozen and we literally had to wait for it to melt down. That’s now how a mousse is supposed to be!

Chilli Garlic Fries: These were again crispy and delicious. The garlic flavour and the mayo tased amazing. Fries are a must try here.

All in all, a decent and not to pricy place for people in and around amanora mall for a quick bite. Staff is decent and service is okay too.
*Highly recommend the Chicken Tikka Fries! Craving again while writing and thinking about it!

🍕pizza 🍕 being thin crust is trending but Have you heard of Puff crust Pizza(also thin crust)??
Charcoal Eats is the place where you can get this amazing square shaped puff crust Pizza.
I have got to admitted that this was one of the best pizzas that I have had so far in Pune and it's a must try.
We had Exotica pizza combo with Chilli garlic loaded fries and I don't think I need to say anything about the taste because picture says it all 😜👌👌

Their best seller veg biryani is Awadi Biryani and to my taste buds it was good. Just that it could have been bit spicy and could be more flavored.

Then in starters we had Panner Tikka but it was ok ok.. Quality of Panner can be questioned...

But the dessert just got us all smiled up because it was just too good😋 . We had Salted Caramel Mousse and I would definitely suggest everyone to try it.😀

In drinks, we tried Classic Peach Ice Tea. Perfect ice tea to go with your food👌.

Overall
Food : 4/5
Quality : 4.5/5
Taste : 4/5
Quantity : 4/5
Service : 5/5
Worthiness: 4/5

🚩CHARCOAL EATS🚩
CHARCOAL EATS is one of the big foodchains it has many outlets in pune, from. Which i visited the ammanora branch... let me share a quick experience i had here.. Lets begin with Food
💢FOOD💢
1⃣CHILLY CHEESE GARLIC 🍟 and SCHEZWAN CHEESE FRIES🍟 They were one of the best fries i ever had, perfect blend of masala and spices..
2⃣PANEER TIKKA - this was little okayish for me found paneer little hard, and taste was blund.
3⃣VEG BIRYANI-the biryani tastes well, with paneer ,dryfruits , veggies..Wished it to be a little spicy as per my taste buds...
4⃣desserts-there were 3 options of soufle, mousse.. Salted Caramel, strawberry, and standard chocolate.. Well i am a chocolate lover but i thought to try salted caramel, and guess wat it got my heart, it becomes my top favourite from all three, the balance sweetness and saltyness gave it 5/5from otbers.. P. S ITS preferred to keep in room temperature for atleast 45mins before so one can eat it as mousse, otherwise it definitely freezes and then one can enjoy it as icecream...
💢AMBIENCE💢
Since its food court, ambience is not a much to be discussed, yet it has normal standard seating of chairs and table, with vibrant cours and bright lights..
💢SERVICE💢
Service is quick, fast, gentle, polite, clean and on point... Order collect is self service ...
✳️OVERALL VERDICT FOR THIS PLACE IS 4⃣*⃣✳️

Recently visited the Charcoal Eats, which is famous for their biryanis. They have open their new outlet in the food court of Amanora Mall.

Start:

➡️Garlic Chilli Fries

Trust me, these were the bestest fries I have had till date .The fries were crisp and loaded with Chilli Garlic spice and Garlic Mayo, tasted simply superb.
#highlyrecommended

➡️Peri Peri Fries

These were again great fries, with peri peri spice and topped with Mayo and tangy sauce.
#recommended

➡️Paneer tikka

This one was totally disappointing, the Paneer was so hard, also didn’t had any taste to it. :(

➡️Achari Aloo

This one again tasted like Aloo ki Sabji, even worse than the Paneer Tikka.

➡️Exotica Square Pizza

This was the totally new concept; this pizza was having a base like puff.
It was very small square size pizza, with all the veggies on top, but that Puff was Soggy and didn’t get the feeling of eating pizza. I personally didn’t like it.

MAINS

➡️Classic Veg Biryani

I just loved this biryani. It was spicy the way we Indians like it.It was a traditional style dum biryani, garnished with fried onions and served with Curd.
It tasted just awesome.

#highlyrecommneded

➡️Paneer Makhani Biryani

This one was not that spicy as compared to the Classic one.

It was made with the classic Makhani gravy with tomatoes and cashews so it was more of tangy in taste.

DESSERT

They have 3 items on the dessert menu. Chocolate mousse, Salted Caramel mouse and strawberry Soufflé.
Chocolate mousse was ok ok in taste, Strawberry one was so hard n felt too much watery in taste.

But the Salted Caramel, it was totally amazing, I just loved it so much, that on the very next day I went there again just to have the Salted Caramel mousse #highlyrecomnded

Overall the place is must visit for Loaded Fries , Biryani and Salted Caramel mousse , that’s the only reason I am giving this place 4 stars :) :)

A quirky place that serves some great fries and biryani. Their chicken tikka loaded fries were really great and loaded with chicken🤤. Their dilliwala butter chicken biryani was absolutely mesmerizing.
However, their starters were a little bland and mediocre. Nothing great about them.
Their square pizzas were something different and I personally liked them quite a lot💯
And last but not the least, their caramel mousse is to die for. It's outstanding.

INTRODUCTION
Charcoal eats is a chain from Mumbai. This has expanded its wings to Pune and spreading all over the Pune now. They have open their new branch in the food court of Amanora Mall. Charcoal eats is mostly famous for its Biryani. They have wide range of biryani to tantalize your taste buds.

APPETIZERS

➡️Garlic Chilli Fries

First thing to be served and this surprised me. One of the best fries I had after very long time. Fries were nice and crisp. Nothing to fancy for the fries but still one of the best. They had sprinkled a fairly good amount of Garlic and Peri Peri powder. And this was topped with some mayo. The flavours of the Garlic powder was pretty dominate. And every after long time they were not soggy at all.

➡️Peri Peri Fries

Some crisp fries nicely sprinkled with peri peri spice and topped with Mayo and some tangy sauce. This was having some spice to it. And the spice was not hurting though but it was enjoyable

➡️Paneer tikka

As I poked the fork inside the paneer I got to know it was hard. The marination was not infused in the paneer till depth. I could only taste the hard paneer.

➡️Exotica Square Pizza

First thing not so Exotic pizza. Very less topping on the pizza. The second part is the base, The base of the pizza was not a thin crust but a pastry kind of base which I personally didn’t like much. This pizza was very dry too.

MAINS

➡️Classic Veg Biryani

They have mentioned that the classic one was high on spice. My preference for a great biryani is that it should have the spice and heat from the garam masala. This biryani was great and stood upto my expectations. This was having that spice and garam masala flavour to it. It was not at all dry. It had a gradually increasing spice level so I loved it a lot. The only con of this was the less veggies.

➡️Paneer Makhani Biryani

Makhani is mainly tomato based gravy masala. Makhani has more subtle flavour to it. It was bit mild as it must be having that buttery flavour to it. Surprisingly the paneer in this was soft than the Paneer tikka. People loving mild spice will love this biryani.

DESSERT

➡️Souffle

So they had 3 flavours of frozen souffles. The chocolate one was okish if more chocolate taste would be there could enjoy it much. The strawberry one was hard as stone so dint enjoy it that much. The salted caramel one was the best. It had that perfect caramel taste and then a subtle caramel after taste to it.

VERDICT

This place is a food chain so I feel they should only concentrate on the biryani which they are good at. I loved the portion size of the biryani. The biryani was well made too. If you thinking to visit this place go only for the biryani.

A great place to eat in the food court at Amanora! The number of options are a little less for vegetarians, but the food is tasty. We tried the chilli Garlic Fries which were crisp and tasty. We tried the Chole served with a Malabar Paratha. They chole masala was definitely different than usual and had a good flavour to it! The Exotica Pizza was also good, the base of the pizza seemed to be like a crisp paratha and gave it a unique touch. The chicken Baida Roti was a great non veg appetizer. The minced chicken and masala was very delicious! I would recommend going for their more spicy dishes (they are not extremely spicy, but add to the flavour which is absent in the non-spicy dishes). The best way to end the meal is with their salted caramel mousse or strawberry souffle. The mousse was rich and the souffle was creamy! The desserts had the right amount of sweetness and not over powering. The prices were reasonable.

Charcoal Eats is a perfect place for quick bites. Also known for their lip-smacking biryanis and apart from that they have amazing combo offers and meals as well.

Paneer Tikka (Appetizer)- It had very satisfying aroma. But unfortunately the paneer used wasn't fresh enough hence it lacked the softeness. It could have been better. (2.5/5)

Peri Peri Veg Pizza- Their pizza is really something different than the pizza we have on our ordinary days. It's made up of puff crust also know as khari. It was topped with suffucient amount of veggies and cheese . Overall it was decent in taste. (4.5/5)
#highlyrecommended

Awadhi Veg Biryani- Biryani had a very rich aroma, which made it tempting. Not only rich aroma but it had rich flavour. Had perfect balance of spices. Rice and veggies added were perfectly cooked. Masala added was sufficient enough. But it was too oily. (4/5)
#recommended

Chilli Garlic Loaded fries- Fries were crispy. The blend of chilly garlic spice and garlic mayo made it the best one. Chilly flakes sprinkled on it enhanced the taste. (5/5)
#highlyrecommended

Chicken Mughlai Paratha- The minced chicken was properly cooked ,but was mild in taste because of insufficient amount of spice added. It was wrapped in a crispy egg roti. This could have been better. (3/5)

Classic Peach Ice Tea- I was disappointed with peach ice tea. It had very light taste of peach. It somewhat seemed like we are having sweet water. (2/5)

Strawberry Souffle- This was a perfect end to our lunch. It had the perfect balance of sweetness with finely crushed strawberries. (4/5)
#recommended
The chicken peri peri pizza was tasteless. No peri peri flavor at all. Actually no other flavor was there also. And chicken Tikka biryani was enough for a child and had no Tikka in it. Just chicken with tomatoes and rice. Never ordering again.

Saw this outlet in the east block food court in Amanora Mall. The outlet has a clean look and makes it stand out. What I liked about this place most is, they had kept some taster also, to make people try across the counter. Tried their loaded fries and it quiet yum and filling

Charcoal Biriyani... Changed the definition of biriyani by serving it in a QSR outlet. This outlet is the latest addition in the Amanora food court.

I was invited for the tasting of the newly added items in their menu.

I tried their signature Chicken Biryani and the biryani is on point, no non-sense. Perfect balance of well cooked boneless chicken pieces and the spicy curry to balance the long grain aromatic rice. I liked the golden fried onions the most

I also tried the barbecue fries and the fries were perfect. The barbecue sauce topped on the fries is bomb!! Goes perfectly well with the cheese sauce.

Next up was the Classic Chicken Tikka. This is no regular chicken tikka...but 8 good juicy and big pieces of chicken grilled. The marination can be better. But overall this is good.

I also wanted to try the chicken keema and oh boy. It was a surprise. The perfect blend of spices and the properly minced chicken. This keema is served with malabar paratha (Kerala parotha). The paratha can be a bit more cooked/ roasted, but I understand the limitations of serving this in a QSR outlet.

To end this gastronomic affair...there is nothing better than their Salted Caramel Mousse. I devoured it in 45 seconds. I am not going to describe about it because I want you to try this after having a hearty meal here.

They also have pizzas on their menu now, which I will try soon enough. Happy eating!!

Venue: Charcoal Eats
Date: 17-8-18
Time: 3PM

Charcoal eats is a tiny place situated in the food court on first floor of Amanora mall. The outlet is small but servers some amazing lip smacking food.
This is perfect example of Chota Packet Bada Dhamaka!!!

I tried few things there and I loved them all just one modification I would suggest.
I tried,
Tandoori Fries
Fries coated with tandoori spice mix and topped with two mayonnaise. One was tandoori flavoured and other one was normal one. I liked the tandoori twist as it was spicy tangy and so tasty at the same time.

Baida Roti
Baida roti is kind of Egg Paratha. The roti was stuffed with boiled eggs bhurji and was made crispy. Egg stuffing was nicely seasoned. A perfect dish for egg lovers.

Classic Chicken Biryani
This was their spiciest Biryani so I decided to try that. It had good amount of masala and even chicken was out generously but the spiciness over powered the taste. I would suggest that try to balance the taste and spiciness. If they manage to balance both the elements then it is gonna be a big hit. They serve curd with the biryani but I don't want to kill the taste with putting extra curd. So this was the only suggestion I want to share.

I ended my meal with Salted Caramel Mousse.
Wow what a brilliant creation!! Loved it so much, beautiful taste balanced sweetness and amazing texture with slight hint of salt. Loved it so much and it made me forget spiciness of Biryani. This is a must try and that too multiple times.

I had great experience here. I would like to thank team charcoal eats for hosting me and feeding me with love.

I received a food tasting invite from Yashashri for Charcoal eats and went here on Independence Day. It was located in the Food Court of Amanora Mall. Following is my experience-:

Ambiance- The entire ambiance is of the food court itself which is fine. There are more people and less seating. Anyway, this cannot be attributed to the restaurant. 3.5/5

Service- The lady at the counter is warm and everything is self service type of mode. She got us all the order in a span of 10 minutes. 4/5

Food- This is the clear winner here. Slightly on the expensive side for the quantity. We tried the following-:

Achari Aloo- This one was an average dish compared to what I expected. This one can be skipped. Served with onions and lemon. 3/5

Loaded fries with mayonnaise and barbecue sauce- Yummy! Imagine golden fries topped with yummy barbecue sauce and ample mayonnaise. I loved this one. Perfect start to the meal and a great accompaniment to your drink. 4.5/5

Vegetable Masala Biryani- Quite good. I actually liked it more than many of the places in Hyderabad which claim to serve the best biryani. The filling was so aromatic. Ample vegetables and paneer won my heart. Slightly spicy. Topped with coriander and caramelized onions. 4.5/5

Margherita pizza squares- You may have tried a pizza everywhere but this one is so different. The base is not the usual one but made of khari. It is topped with hard cheese rather than soft one. It was a good change to the usual pizzas you get everywhere. Try it as it's different. Top it with oregano and relish it. 4/5

Salted caramel Mousse- No words! Don't leave this place without trying this. Rather I'd tell you, if you In Amanora, go here specially for the mousse and you will bless me. I couldn't get enough of it. I can go here multiple times for this. Highly recommended. 6/5

Will I come here again? I loved the food but I found it slightly more expensive than the quantity offered. I will become a very regular customer if they drop the prices slightly. The mousse is a must try.
