Food here is amazing one of the best Chinese I had in Pune some of the dishes like Wontons are must try chrisp light cooked to perfection Although it's name is China Grill but Indian food is as amazing as Chinese especially thier briyani's till now I had chicken tikka and chicken dum briyani both are equally good. Price here are justified as per the quantity you get I really love the portion size here I am heavy eater nowadays most of restaurants have reduced their portion sizes but good to see they still maintaining good portions Overall ratings: Food : 5/5 Price : 5/5 Quality: 5/5 Quantity: 5/5 Hope they will continue to make these amazing dishes and portions.

Wonderful service, very good food We are light eaters. The serving for each item is quite large - so we had to carry a lot of leftovers back at home. Had wonderful time here. Food was tasty - especially the starters like spring rolls. The Lobster was cooked in Chinese way (Northern). Most foods were in Northern Chinese tradition - used a lot of red chilly. It was a little salty - the main course. Please apply a little less salt

Amazing place with a very cozy atmosphere, great to enjoy with a group of people, also good for a romantic date 😊 This is another branch of Chinese room from camp, the food tastes exactly the same, so if you stay in the vicinity, you don't need to go all the way to camp to enjoy amazing Chinese food. The host is gracious and welcoming, the staff(Jeet) is also very courteous and helpful with some good suggestions for every type of foodie.. I've been here a few times now, but I will still be looking forward to my next visit...

This dish goes through all basic cooking then refrigerating and then frying to get the exact texture without loosing the aroma and taste. It can be enjoyed with Schezwan sauce. Paneer Tikka: Big square pieces of tender soft Paneer marinated with tikka masala served with Mint chutney. This is one of the Indian Signature dish of the China grill. Main course: Vegetables in Hunan sauce: This was nice and served in a huge portion which goes well with Veg Fried Rice. Chunky pieces of vegetables tossed in Hunan Sauce with a perfect thickness of Gravy. In Roti I tried the Cheese Garlic Naan: Nicely presented and good in taste. Dessert: Sizzling Brownie with Vanilla Ice-Cream: The only different thing was instead of a scoop, a big slab of Vanilla Ice-cream was placed. Overall… It was an wonderful experience of having a quick lunch with great value for money. Been to this place more than a dozen times now and aside of a couple of things that did not work for me my overall experience has consistently been good. The service, the ambience, and the price point all pretty good. #FoodAndFoodiesShallPrevail

Real attention to detail. Each dish was carefully crafted and exhibited high quality of culinary skill. Good ambience and great service. The head manager also looks like an old wizard who would recommend you the right food. Quick execution time too!

Spacious banquet available to easily fit in 150+ guest. Food was awesome and served by well mannered and helpful staff. I do have to give special thanks to Amit and his team for maintaining such service. We all enjoyed our time out here. Decorator lucky bhai suggested by Amit was helpful and really planned things well. We just trust him with arrangements and he did excellent job. Road side parking is available along with valet. Thank you once again

After Wanowrie & Pimpri, they have finally opened a branch in Viman Nagar. I was told that this is their best branch so far & truly I was not disappointed. Service is pretty good. Awesome food, adequate quantity at a very affordable price & the best part is being a non vegetarian, I totally fell in love with their vegetarian food. Special mentions- 1. Corn curd Mongolian - A must must try! Basically baked cream corn that comes with a melt in mouth experience 💕. 2. Peri peri fish finger - fresh fish finger with a twist of peri peri pepper. 3. Murg dum kebab - kebab, dum cooked in a pot. 4. Chicken fortune pot rice - the best fortune pot rice in Pune at such a low price. 5. Caramel custard - another star of the show. 6. I've visited this place so many times and this is yet to disappoint. Everything I've tried here Indian food, Chinese food, desserts were excellent. Apple chicken is my favourite. In Indian food, chicken Kolhapuri, butter chicken is delicious. Quantity of everything they serve is quite good. Chocolate brownie is delicious. Ambience is very pleasant. Service and the staff is very helpful and polite. And it has Zomato gold. Must visit place for foodies!!

Have been trying new outlets near viman nagar and came across China Grill... Having tried China Grill wanowrie and Chinese Room of East street ... Got a certain urge to try this new outlet ... Ordered a crispy spinach chicken (yeah, am a popeye fan) ... The tanginess and tenderness of chicken made my afternoon, it was mildly spicy and the crispy spinach complimented the tenderness of the chicken .... It was time to delight myself with a dessert ... So opted for the Honey Noodles with Ice cream ... Ate it more like a starter dipping the fettuccine in the ice cream ... A must try dessert ... Altogether gave a new feel for the dessert... The owner of the place was very polite and kind to ask if everything was nice and sorted... A good meal plus the good service made it an awesome lunch ..... A must try place if you are near viman nagar

China grill is a great place to chill with your friends. The vibe this place has is great. The ambiance is cool too. We ordered roasted lamb once and then we were hooked on it. We visited this place 2 to 3 times just to have the tasty food.

This is one good place to enjoy Chinese & Mughlai meal. They have a huge restaurant which can very well serve for large gatherings and parties.<br/>Coming on to food on our visit we tried their <br/>1. Veg Manchow Soup pretty standard but I loved it<br/>2. Chef Special Veg Dragon rolls trust me they were pretty filling <br/>3. In main course we had burnt garlic rice with vegetables in hot & sour sauce.<br/>The portions are huge so be a little careful while placing your order.

Nice ambience and courteous staff. We had corn curd mongolian and fish mongolian which tasted superb. Though I wish quantity was little more then served then pricing is justified. Otherwise it's worth trying for Chinese cuisine.

Do not order from this shitty place. They give you soupy noodle in the name of chowmein (picture attached). I have eaten chowmein more than 1000 times in my life, never came across this soupy noodle in the name of chowmein. When I called them to complain, they said this is how they prepare chowmein. They put white sauce gravy over noodles. How can they twist the recipe according to them. Recipes are universal. I even googled images of chowmein thinking there might be some soupy version of Chowmein selling in some part of the world but all images on google show only fried noodles with veggies. I called them to reason with them, but they totally refused to accept their mistake and give me the right version of chowmein... Shitty people with shitty customer service!

I called restaurant, guy at the counter agreed to deliver prawns dish in 20mins, 5mins later Manager Nazir Called saying they haven't made any sesame Chicken dish since evening, with attitude saying I'm lying. I guess everyone understand the difference between Chicken and Prawns but i was shoked Mr Manager wasn't ready to agree and believe me. Afterall 5mins of Conversation he agreed to send Prawns Dish in 45mins saying they don't have delivery Ex.<br/><br/>Now as we wait for Sesame Prawns, Fortune Pot Rice, is sitting on Dining Table getting Cold.<br/><br/>This was an example of Very Poor costomer service by Manager Nazir.(At least the way he was speaking)

You tell them upfront that you would be using Zomato gold and they trick u to include dish which is not covered in Zomato gold. I ordered a noodle which had gravy on top and they call it a platter and don't include in Zomato gold. They mention it only after bill is generated. Cheaters.

To be honest, I have been here two times and on both occasion I had Indian food only, ranging from starters to chicken main course. Although the name is China grill, their indian cuisine is the one that I am fond of. Try out their indian cusine someday

Really Bad Management. If you have zomato gold then for normal dishes how can you write them as a platter and say that it is not included in zomato gold. According to them phad thai noodles also is a platter. Made me laugh a lot. If you cannot afford zomato gold just remove it. Dont try and fool cuatomers like this. This was really disappointing. We ordered chinese chopsuey and Singapore rice.<br/>1)Chinese chopsuey was very spicy though instructed to make them medium spicy. But it was tasty. It had taste of typical Chinese food.<br/>2)Singapore rice was average . Didn't like taste. It had no flavor of Chinese food. Tasted like normal pulav. So we were disappointed.<br/><br/>Service was good. But the waiter who was serving us food didn't take much effort to empty whole bowl and went with remaining food in bowl. That was shocking.<br/><br/>Ambience is good. Calm and typical family restaurant type.<br/><br/>As a food blogger I would like to go there again for tasting and hope they won't disappoint me that time.

Went to this place with office colleagues for team dinner. Eveything was just perfect about this place right from ambience, food, service, staff.<br/>As the name suggests Chinese food is their speciality, and it is heaven for chinese food lovers. Usually, one tends to find evidence of cultural appropriation in local restaurants where the core theme is based on other cultures. However, China Grill, Viman Nagar is a perfect example of a heterogeneous fusion of cultures.<br/><br/>I happened to visit with a couple of friends, I ordered a Thai Curry, whereas my other friends stuck to Indian cuisine and ordered a Dal Tadka, Chicken Sukka. The taste of every dish was impeccable. We also ordered a few vegetarian dishes which happened to be as good as the non-vegetarian options.<br/><br/>Apart from the ambience and the food, the staff were also extremely courteous and prompt with their service. The washrooms were also well maintained and equipped with hygiene products. <br/><br/>I would definitely recommend China Grill, Viman Nagar, to anyone around Pune who is up for a surreal experience. The rates are also extremely affordable, definitely, account for the value.

This was my second visit to this place with my family today. Amazing ambience. We absolutely loved their Dal Makhni and Butter naan!! Ordered american chopsuey which was ok. In past visits I have tried other items too which were amazing too but sadly i dont remeber their names😅. They were something related to corn, then a blue mocktail and Singapore noodles.. Amazing😁

Best place possibly to hog on Chinese Cuisine. Ambience is good, family friendly. Our service waa delayed by quite a time since we kept waiting for the order after repeated follow ups for it. Full points for food though.

We visited China grill for a team lunch. Their ambience is pretty good and the food as well. We ordered murg mussalam, Thai curry, dal tadka. All the items were to the mark. I loved their murg mussalam.

I rarely rate any place 5. This place is beyond 5 interms of food. I visited Pune for the first time and this place made my trip worth it with it's amazing food. We ordered Crab Crack and Chicken Sukka. The Crabs were fresh and the tastiest crab I've ever had in a restaurant. So was chicken sukka. I've visited so many places all over Bangalore but China Grill made me fall in love with Pune. The ambience and crowd was decent. They should work on their music playlist though. The staff was courteous.

Ambience is like a family restaurant....very calm and quiet. Serving is good. I mean the attendants are attentive and polite. But don't ever commit this blunder of odering north Indian food in a Chinese restaurant....like I did. Starters was juicy and spicy (some mushroom).<br/>Main course was not that delectable. Butter roti was like papad and the panner dish was also not that good. Specially asked for a spicy panner dish but was not at all spicy.<br/>I m giving such rating to this restaurant just because I made a mistake in placing the order.

Interior is good. Had ordered Surmai Fish Tikka and Nizami tikka. Both were good. Then I asked the steward about the Prawns fortune rice. He asked if we like muahroom and I said yes. When the PRAWNS fortune rice arrived. We have good loads of muahroom and 4-5 pieces of prawns that too tiny. And the rice had complete taste of cinnamon. Somehow disappointed.

This place has a very good authentic Chinese taste.. the chicken tripe rice had more veggies which is kind of odd but good food overall. If you want to eat real Chinese, this place should be on your list.

I've been to this place many a times...but writing reviews are something that I procrastinate...if you want good Chinese, go to this place... amazing food, quick and prompt services. Being from Calcutta, I've always been touchy-feely about Chinese. But this place, always blows my mind. Highly recommended.

We ordered Chinese food such as chilli garlic noodles, Shanghai chicken, spring rolls and some Asian prawns dish. Some of the items looked very spicy but were not. They are using food colours to make it look too spicy. We also found lot of corn flour being used in food while making gravy and frying items, and did not find the food items suitable to eat. We ordered few cocktails as well, which were made too sweet to even feel the taste of base alcohol. Overall I don't recommend this place. Apart from good seating ambience and fast food servicing, nothing was upto the mark.

This place quality has degraded. Ordered honey chilli potato which was just served as fried french fry. Rest of the food was also okayish. The staff was rude and didn't seem to care.

A nice place to go and have dinner but found it slightly over hyped as to the rating. Soup was good. Chicken crunchy was below expectations infact dont order it. Shanghai chicken was also very oily. Cold coffee with icecream was also average. Maybe i ordered the not so famous food items there. Better luck next time.

We faced a bit difficulty in locating this place.The food was good , there are very few places where you get nice chinese food and its definitely one of them but you got to be choosy about what you are eating we had four dishes and golden baby corn & american chopsy turned out to be bad . But yes the noodles and chilli paneer were good.

The food was pathetic. We ordered Shanghai Fish which tasted as if some chemicals were added to it. (Recommended by the captain) Chicken Tikka Masala the chicken was stale. Sweet lime soda - The lemon used was very old it was not fresh at all. Chicken Tandoori was jala hua. Only Butter Rotis were good .

Went to China grill today. I liked the ambience. Coming to the food we ordered Apple Chicken and Tariwala Murg. Apple chicken was really delicious and It increased our expectation about Tariwala murg. But it disappointed us with both Quantity and Quality. <br/>5/5 for Apple chicken(It has nothing to do with apples, they are similar to chicken lollipop)<br/>2/5 for tariwala murg<br/>4.5/5 for service and<br/>5/5 for ambience.

Very good service. Mouth watering Chinese food. Good part is they don't charge service charges after GST, unlike many other renowned places. Ambience is also nice and calm. Not very loud music.

If you are looking for some authentic Chinese, then this is the place to be. I tried Shanghai Chicken and Taipan Noodles which were both very good. They serve complimentary Salad, sweet and sour dips and Kimchi. Their Kimchi is the best I have tried. Very Friendly staff and really delicious Chinese food .from soups to starters to main course everything was on point . Specially the mushroom starter, lemon corriander soup and chilly chicken, they even made a prawn dish that was not there on menu on request.

ordered chicken supreme, prawn burnt garlic rice and peiking noodles from swiggy last night. the first 2 were ok but the peiking noodles had a big load of chilli powder it was totally inedible and had to throw the whole dish. Does the chef not taste the food that is being prepared. There is no way this restautant deserves a 4+ rating. I ordered from china grill because looking at the menu i thought it was a branch of chinese room(east street).Not sure if this is the case, but the food quality is not even 50% of chinese room.

Today I visited this restaurant again, but disappointed with service. Every time I have to remind them for serving water and food items. Service is pathetic. Even don’t try any fish item here it’s stinks / smelly what kind of fish they are using not sure.. I have asked for pomfret which was not available , many items mentioned in the menu are not available with them. Good knows why they mention in menu. Highly disappointed making a visit to this restaurant. Only best part was chimney soup , but after having fish starter then didn’t feel like having main course... so visit on for soup or some other food items.. China Grill is located on top of Shiv Sagar in Viman Nagar. A nice family kind of place with some really good Chinese and Indian food. Hi,<br/>Today had a worst experience at China Grill, Viman Nagar. There was a COCKROACH in the water jar. The waiter was serving it without even checking. He changed the jar and while serving a wing of some insect was been served in the glass. We already had ordered the food, however, we were unable to have it seeing the unhygienic service. Felt to puke, it was a disaster. We had complained about the same to the captain and owner. For which they just reacted with a sorry, as if they are used to such feedback. They were least interested to address our concern with a proper attention.<br/>I hope they understand the value of customers, their time that spoils with the frustration and service provided. Kindly maintain the hygiene for the cost we pay and ensure a proper acknowledgement for the trouble caused.

Honestly, it doesn't seem to be a Chinese restaurant. It's a restaurant serving Indian and few Chinese dishes. Food is good, service is very good, ambience is good.

I had a bad experience with this place. Ordered Singapore noodles and schezwan fried rice. In their Zomato menu it was mentioned that the noodles were spicy, but they actually were quite bland, however still eatable. The pain point was fried rice, it was completely stale. I've just ordered from this place once, so not sure if that's their usual standard of food quality or was it just a one bad day.

Placed an order for Hakka Noodles and Manchurian(Gravy) on a Thursday night and was disappointed with the Hakka Noodles as they were quite dry and the Manchurian delivered was dry. So, difficult to swallow, even the combo.

China Grill is located just outside our house but never got a chance to visit them. Had ordered food quite a few times and was happy with the packaging, quality and quantity. Last week got a chance to go there for dinner with my friends who had arrived from Australia, one of the reasons being it was getting late and we did not want to travel.<br/>We did not regret our decision since we loved each and every item we ordered from soup to starters to main course. We were getting late so did not get time to check out the desserts.
