Review Fat Cook - Pune

The menu over here consists of good no of options to choose from Asian Cuisine. The food was amazing and we loved it. The staff was good and had suggested us with few good dishes. Moving over to the ambience, it is quite simple and vibrant with good background music being played. The service overall was good enough and price is just average.

Five Fat Monks ------------------------- This place is located opposite to Balewadi High Street, Baner. A perfect destination for Pan Asian Food lovers. 👉 Ambience :- They have both outdoor and indoor seating. This is a small outlet though they have managed seating arrangement nicely. It has a decent ambience. I liked the Chinese lanterns. 👉 Staff :- Very Helpful and Cooperative. 👉 Service :- it was quick and food served to us was fresh and hot. 👉 Lets come to food :- 🔹King Khapra :- A perfect combination of minced chicken with brown rice topped with half fried egg. The taste was amazing. Highly Recommended. 🔹Slurpy Suey :- A delectable one pot meal perfectly cooked to strike every single of your taste buds with its vibrant flavour. It contains cottage cheese cubes in it. Curry was amazing. 🔹Dimsums :- I am a die hard lover of dimsum. I tried Veg, Chicken Sui Mai and Prawns Har Gow. No doubt filling was good but coating was not up-to the mark due to oversteamed. They were served with schezwan dip which was so good. It goes well with dimsums. 🍨 Desserts 🔹Chocolate and Coffee Bomb :- it was one of the best of all we had. A jar filled with brownie cubes, vanilla ice-cream, choco chips and topped with coffee and cream. The chocolate and coffee combination goes well and flavorful. I loved it. Highly Recommended. Known for its Pan Asian cuisine, the place has various outlets across Mumbai & Pune.I visited their Baner(Pune) outlet upon invitation along with other food bloggers. Located opposite to Balewadi High Street, the place has a cool & comfy ambience, with Chinese lanterns hung across the room. Coming to food, the menu is an exquisite combination of Veg & Non-Veg Chinese,Thai and other Asian dishes. Amongst the starters,Veg Spring Rolls and Veg Dimsums are good to begin with. SPRING ROLLS were crisp from outside & flavourful inside, ideal for Indian Palate.Outer layer of DIMSUMS was very thin which let inner filling standout and give a blast of flavours so definitely recommended 👍. Coming to Mains,we tried various options from Noodles to Baos.If you love spicy food then VEG BURNT GARLIC CHILLI NOODLES should be your pick.Noodles were non sticky & thin but tasted very much like street style Chinese food which everyone likes. Their KHAO SUEY had all the condiments mixed together unlike other places, loved its coconutty taste. Personally I found their version of Khao Suey better than the usual one. Then came PANEER BAO;personally I am a Bao lover but this one was not the one which I approve. It was chewy from outside but bland from inside mostly because of Paneer being the only stuffing. The place claims to serve the best WOKs in Pune and so we tried one.As per their 'Make it Your Way' style we had own Veg Wok with Brown Rice+ Tofu + Saiwoo Sauce+ Veggies+ other toppings. The portion size was great and loved the taste 👍.Can't say if this is best but I loved flavours. I was pleasantly surprised seeing the variety of desserts available in an Asian Restaurant. We had •Crunchy Choco Sticks •Coconut Pancakes •Chocolate Coffee Bomb •Mango Lemongrass jelly with White chocolate Out of all CRUNCHY CHOCO STICKS were my favourite.MANGO LEMONGRASS JELLY was predominantly dominated by Mango in taste. Everything we had was accompanied by Fruit Beer.

Five fat monks are located in the Balewadi high street and Seasons Mall, this place serves Chinese, Asian, Thai cuisine and In-house Wok the motive of this restaurant is to serve good quality food in a the quantity that will fill the stomach and take less time to arrive on your table. The place has a simple ambiance with sofa and chair seating which is really good for a big group, date, and family as well. This place serves good comfort food which will fill your stomach and will give you unique and good Chinese flavors which are really different and must try. Let's have a look at the food which I tried here: 1. Veg spring roll - It is amazing in taste, crispy outside and soft inside. 2. Kung Pao chicken - Chicken used in this dish was fresh that I loved the most. 3. Veg Dimsums - These were dim sum stuffed with veg. 4. Chicken Dimsums - These were dim sum stuffed with minced chicken, the dimsums had a thin coating and were served with schezwan chutney, the dimsums had a really good flavor and the schezwan chutney had a spicy flavor which really came good. 5. Zen hen goes Green - This was basically boneless chicken tossed ina thick and mild sauce and was served with fried rice, this was a superb dish which came really good on the palate. 6. King Khaprao rice - This served with Keema curry and fried rice. 7. Veg Burnt Chilli Noodles - This was good and gives a real taste of Chinese food. 8. Savoury Prawns - Need improvement in this I personly don't like this. 9. Veg Khow Shuey - This restaurant has a different way of serving khow Shuey in which all the condiments are served in a bowl with rich, creamy and thick curry which has a sweet and mild flavor of coconut milk and which tingles your tastebuds. 10. Bombay chicken Bao 11. Veg Wok saiwoo sauce with Tofu. *Drinks and Desserts* 1. Coolberg NA beer. 2. Lemon and peach ice tea. 3. Mango jelly with lemongrass. 4. Pancakes with cranberry and cream and coconut. 5. Chocolate noodle sticks. I love all the dessert served at this place. The ambiance is pretty good and can easily accommodate 30+.

Visited this place few days back to try out their 2nd Anniversary special menu. Five fat monk is a Pan Asian restaurant situated in the busy lanes of Balewadi Highstreet. They have indoor as well as outdoor seating options. Ambience is cool and cozy inside. Coming to the drinks we tried Spicy guava that is a delightful combination of spicy, tart and fruity taste. Then tried watermelon cooler and virgin mojito. Both tasted good. Coming to starters we tried: ✓ Crispy spiced potato: Crispy potatoes tossed with lots of masalas and chilli flakes. It was served in a martini glass. ✓Cocktail prawns: Served in a glass, prawns tossed in cocktail sauce that was made inhouse. It's sweet and spicy in taste. Highly recommend. ✓ Japanese fried chicken: Perfectly cooked chicken nuggets coated with a crispy layer outside. Goes really well with mayonise. From main course I tried: ✓ The zen hen chicken: Asian style chicken gravy served with fried rice. Gravy was delicious and the chicken pieces were tender. ✓ Wok your own: So the best part of this place is that we can choose our own wok and toppings in it from the various options. I've selected plain noodles base with Kung Pao sauce and chicken in it. The large size bowl is more than enough for a single person. From desserts I tried ✓ Chocolate coffee bomb: layered with coffee flavoured brownie base, icecream scoop and topped with chocolate sauce and chocolate chips. ✓Fried Choco pops: Icecream scoops with hot chocolate sauce and small fried chocolate balls. Had a great time. Gonna visit soon :)

Its a corner joint on balewadi High street which serves pan Asian food with a twist. On our table - Butter garlic prawns - The flavour of garlic was overwhelming the dish but personally i love Garlic in everything so thumbs up!! Chicken Baos - minced chicken stuffed in a fresh bao . It had a smell of freshness and i loved it . Chicken steamed momos - The thing about momos here is that is not of maida , which takes out the only non healthy part of this dish and makes it perfect! Prawns lamb trinity - these noodles were cooked in oyster sauce. According to owner they keep it mild to keep it neutral among people at table! Zenhen - Egg fried rice served with chicken . Now thats a whole meal . The quantity is amazing and perfectly cooked . Egg in the egg fried rice is usually overcooked but this was just perfect! Khow suey - okay , i know people in pune love this dish and i was in my critic mode when i took onto this one here and damn this is the best one i ever had . They have twisted it up a bit from traditional khow suey by serving the noodles with already mixed gravy . It had cashews and the thing about coconut, it didn't overpower the other flavours. Woks - so there is an option to make your own wok where you can chose from the number of ingredients, sauces, garnishing, protien and base! We had a fish and a chicken with burnt garlic sauce . It was scrumptious! They are recently including desserts into there menus and we were lucky enough to do their first tasting of them . They have called up a chef who has worked in US and made up some amazzzzzzing desserts which they haven't even coined the name yet! So there was a fried noodle coated with chocolate sauce and castor sugar . It was something new and totally master chef type. Then there were pancakes with blueberry syrup and whipped cream with shredded coconut. WOW! This was really really good . The flavour of syrup complemented with the coconut, cream.and everything! Now there was a bowl with a brownie and whipped cream and crunches and some chocolate chips which was again amazing. If you go there do ask for these desserts if its not on menu yet! Highly recommended this place and definitely the khow suey!

Delicacies from the orient have a special place in my heart. Club it with making your own wok and Indian twist to it, Voila, we have a winning combination. Five Fat Monks is one such place where an individual can enjoy the perks of putting together various ingredients with a variety of sauces, proteins and base. Food- We started our lunch visit with their new Mocktail options. We opted for Spicy Guava, Virgin Mojito and Water Melon Mocktail. The Spicy guava had an overpowering spice taste which was a let-off! The taste was good though. Spice lovers do try. Water Melon Mocktail comes with a fizz while the Virgin mojito can be a classic choice to help down Asian food. For Starters, we had a plethora of choices. To begin with, we ordered Crispy Spicy potato, exotic vegetable stir fry and cocktail prawns. Crispy Spicy potatoes are baby potato served with chilli flakes and other seasonings. The crunchiness can be enjoyed both in the potatoes and also in the seasoning. Stir-fries are the quickest and the best answer to hunger pangs. The exotic veggies were served and vanished instantly. Cocktail prawns were the real winner. Beautifully arranged prawns with a sweet and spicy honey chilli dip served in a Margherita glass. Wow! Must try. I’ll suggest hold on to that dip while you can enjoy other food options also. Wok of my own- A) Non- Veg, B) Size- Small, C) Base- Flat Noodles, D) Protein- Prawns, E) Shitake Mushrooms, F) Sauce- Hunan, G) Spring Onion. That was my wok. Yes, I made a safe and simple choice and it worked brilliantly. The portion size of the Wok is generous. Go ahead and make your own wok! Service and Ambience- The place is located at the happening junction of Balewadi High Street and has an upscale get up. Unfortunately, due to too many constructions going around the premise the outdoor seating is not recommended. The interiors are elegant and air-conditioned with sofa seating which is cosy and comfortable. The Service is superfast as every oriental place should be. And the waiters are alert and responsive. Overall- A cosy place amongst a crowd of lounges and bars where one can enjoy Asian food and leave with a content heart. We were lucky to visit the place during their anniversary celebration which will last throughout the month of December. One can try their Anniversary special menu as we did.

(Five Fat Monks) as the name suggests is one of its kind place that primarily serves you the authentic Asian Cuisine. Located at Balewadi high street, Baner which is considered as one of the prime locations in Pune. The overall ambiance (Interior as well as exteriors) of the restaurant has pretty good vibes. They have seating arrangements both indoor as well as outdoor with some cool music. You can come along and hang out with your family and friends anytime. [Starting with mocktails]: I ordered 2 mocktails which were, (Watermelon Mocktail) - a well-balanced drink that truly refreshes and has a tropically refreshing taste - its simply amazing. (Guava Hit) - It's totally unique, a one of its kind mocktail that tastes beyond description. MUST TRY. [Starters] (Shanghai Panner) - Paneer being my favorite, had excellent flavor of spices and consistency which leaves nothing to be desired. (Pepper Blast Chicken) - bound to please the most demanding of tastebuds. Perfectly Cooked Chicken which is crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. (Veg Manchurian sizzler) - a sensational dish that always pleases. The veggies, Manchurian, Potato fries, and Rice was Delicious. The presentation showed off the sizzler in a very bright way. (Wok - Bao with Corriender parsley sauce) - They have this amazing option where you can make your own wok choosing your favorite veggies, sauces and the choice of base. I had ordered the veg wok - Bao with Corriender parsley sauce. A taste you'll have to try to believe. you won't find any better Wok anywhere. MUST TRY. [ Desserts ] (Fried Choco Pops) - A dessert you'll never forget: vanilla ice cream served with the crispy balls made up of Marie biscuits, poured over with hot chocolate on the top. It's so good you'll want to skip dinner. Overall, the staff is co-operative and humble while the service is the fastest I've seen till date, You definitely should visit this place and try their unique and lip-smacking dishes.

Five fat monks, a place where you can expect some great Pan Asian delicacies. (as the name suggests). Situated in hyped Balewadi Street, it can be considered as a very good option for dinner or lunch. The ambience is really simple and cosy with properly arranged indoor and outdoor seating. The staff were very helpful and Cooperative. The service was quick and the food served to us was fresh and hot. Let's talk about food now. We started with some cocktails: Pina colada 2.0, Blue Ice and Guava Hit. Pina colada was light and refreshing. Blue ice was sweet and prepared with ice cream. Quite amazing. I liked the Guava Hit as its spicy and refreshing at the same time. Then the owner of the restaurant told us to try the veg Manchurian sizzlers which is yet to be added in the menu. The Sizzlers were delicious and yummy. Full Marks to the sizzlers. Then we tried their unlimited endless menu. One veg and one non-veg. I liked their concept of the "Unlimited endless menu". You can have one rice or noodle with a gravy/ starter and one soup. And after finishing it you can also change the dishes ordered before. like if you have ordered rice earlier and now you can order noodles also. The concept is really amazing and innovative. Also, the quantity served is pretty good in one go itself. Then we tried the "Make your own wok" just to satisfy our curious nature. Its basically a concept of making your own wok by selecting your own base, protein, veggie, sauce and garnishes. We ordered one veg wok consisting of Bao and veggies in sweet and sour sauce. And one non-veg wok with the base of rice with chicken cooked in oyster sauce. Both were delicious and worth trying. The desserts were the stars of the meal. We tried Honey Noodle with ice cream and Fried Choco Bombs. Both were amazing. Fried Choco bombs were quite different from the regular chocolate dessert. Must-try. Overall Rating : *Ambience : 4 /5 *Service : 4.5 /5 *Food : 4.5 /5 *VFM : 4/ 5

Whenever I crave for Chinese or similar foods. Five Fat Monks is the name that pops up in my mind. This elegant restaurant offers you some of the best and authentic pan Asian cuisine. Ambience The ambience is quite charming. Interiors done very nicely using wooden art. And the lightings compliment it completely. Also an outdoor seating for people who love to dine under the open sky. A bar section specially curated to serve cool and refreshing mocktails. Beverages Watermelon Island - A simple n sweet mocktail with classic watermelon flavour. Lemongrass - A fizzy lemongrass flavour infused drink. Quite refreshing. Guava hit - A guava based drink with a bit dense consistency, salt n chilli mixture on the rim to give a spicy kick while sipping on this mocktail. . Food Shanghai paneer - Pieces of paneer marinated in spice mixture and secret sauces. The paneer was bit dry and the sauces were not penetrated into the pieces. Lemon chilli rice - This was my favourite dish. Nicely prepared with balanced amount of spicy and tangy taste. Just one bite of this will make you experience a rainbow of flavours. Malaysian noodles - great taste, awesome flavours. That's all I would say. This doesn't need more appreciation Pepper blast chicken - The best chicken dish of the day. Hot peppers and shredded chicken combined to form a bomb. Phat nin noodles and Kung pao chicken were also good. Fried choco pops - This dessert was an example of awesome creativity. Marie biscuits crushed and formed into small balls which are then fried and served with vanilla ice cream garnished with chocolate chips along with a bowl of hot chocolate sauce to pour over the ice cream. I would definitely recommend to everyone reading this, try to visit here atleast once. I'm sure you will thank me later.

Five Fat Monks This place is located near the balewadi high street where there several places to visit. So me and my friends decided to visit here. Five fat monks is a very awesome place which serves delicious Asian cuisine food. The food taste will never disappoint you. This place has both indoor and outdoor sitting arrangement. The inside ambience is really cool and the interior design is mind blowing. The inner atmosphere is so silent and have positve vibes. Where as if you want good photos you can sit outside. The service is also fast and no other complaints about anything. So we started with the mocktails 1)Virjin Mojito : Good as usual . 2)Watermelon : This was the best, I just loved this drink. 3)Guava Hit: This had a perfect spicy taste. you can experience the taste the guava and then spicy taste. 4)Lemon grass and Ginger: Had this for the first time , this also had a good taste. Then we had the veg manchurian which was so delicious, the manchurian was cooked properly . It is available in both gravy and dry. We tried the gravy one. We ordered Spicy basil chicken which was soo good .The perfect taste of chicken with the spiciness properly controlled. Also we had Baw wow sz paneer which was good, the paneer was soft and sweet and perfectly fried with other vegetables. Zen hen goes green was delectable, It was a green gravy of chicken half of the plate and the other half contained the rice , it was the perfect combination. Loved this dish. Then we had burnt chilli chicken noodles which was little spicy but the taste was good and the chicken pieces in it were properly fried. Then last dish which we had was Divine soy this was the best dish here. Highly Recommended to have this. And atlast we had their two delicious and yummy desserts. Fried choco bombs: This dish contained small choco bombs with icecream, the choco bombs tasted same as mari gold biscuit . We poured the hot chocolate sauce which was a awesome combination and taste was wonderful. And the second dessert we had was honey noodles with ice cream which we had for the first time which was also delicious. Five fat monks is such a great place with delicious asian food located in one of the busiest streets in Pune i.e. Balewadi highstreet. The ambience here is decent, peaceful and very pleasant. The service is also good. Talking about the food, if you are craving for asian food this is surely a go to place. The mocktails we order 1. Pinnacolada 2.0 2. Blue ice Both the mocktails were refreshing and soothing. The flavour of pineapple and coconut in pinnacolada was perfect. The blue ice tasted best as they had icecream blended with the syrup. Manchurian sizzler(Launching soon) This sizzler had a perfect blend of the sauces to the manchurians. The manchurians were soft and top notch in its taste. Overall the sizzler tasted really good. Once they are on the menu, you must surely give it a try. Make it your own wok. They have this amazing option where you can make your own wok choosing your favourite veggies, sauces the your choice of base. We had ordered one veg wok and one non veg wok. Both of them had an ultimate taste. Veg& Non veg unlimited menu. Another amazing thing they serve you is unlimited veg and non veg menu which includes a soup, a starter/gravy and rice/noodles. The best thing about this is you can how much ever you want and you can order some different dish in your next course. The taste is also super delicious. Coming to the amazing desserts. 1. Honey noodles with icecream 2.Fried choco bombs If you are a dessert fan these two are a must try. Super tasty with perfect sweetness. Overall its surely a great place to chill out with your friends , spend time with family and yes also to have business meetings.

Visited this place a few days back. They have ample of seating arrangement. The hygiene they have maintained here is quite impressive. The interiors are simple yet elegant . Coming to the drinks, guava hit was my favorite. A bit spicy and citric in taste. In starters we tried Kung Pao Chicken, Shanghai paneer and Pepper blast chicken. All of them were finger licking good 😍. The sauces used in kung pao chicken were amazing and gave it a mild sweet and spicy flavor. It was topped with fried cashews. Shanghai paneer was mild spicy. The paneer cubes had a great texture on it. The paneer was soft and fresh. Pepper blast chicken was basically different types of boneless chicken pieces wok fried with sesame oil, red chillies and black pepper. It was simple yet so tasty. Veg Malaysian noodles sure were amazing 😍. Flat noodles tossed in sesame oil, chillis, black pepper and veggies. They were even better than the chicken ones we tried 😋! The dessert Choco pops is sure delicious! Overall, a good place to try various flavors of Chinese cuisine.

This is a place that serves amazing street style Pan Asian Food. A small place with a good ambiance, indoor and outdoor seating. The vibe of the place is very positive. When it comes to Oriental cuisine, the burst of flavors in the food is just mind blowing. So the food served here is typically like the proper street food. Drinks that I had here were, Watermelon drink, which was a refreshing drink, sweet and melony after which I had a drink named Guava Hit which actually will give you a hit after you drink. A drink which is the best for all the spicy drink lovers. There is a drink by the name Lemongrass and Ginger Lemonade which is extremely refreshing not too sweet but the flavors were outstanding. Coming to the Food these are the dishes that I had here, Veg Manchurian which was a really nice dish, flavorful and tasty. Spicy Basil Chicken was also served. This was an amazing dish having a really nice flavor of basil also was spicy, the chicken was tender and cooked well, crisp and juicy. The next dish was the Bao Wow Schezwan Paneer, a bao preparation which has schezwan paneer as the filling. Quite flavorful and crispy. Then we jumped to the main course in which we had Zen Hen Goes Green which had a rice preparation with a green chicken gravy, which was my favorite of all. Then we had the Devine Soy, which had a red gravy that was served over crispy noodles. All the flavors balanced and the taste was also very pleasing. I had always hear about burnt garlic noodles, but here I had the Burnt Chilly Garlic Chicken Noodles which was a kind of Indian street style Chinese, full of amazing flavors and spiciness. We then had the dessert course in which we had crispy noodles with ice cream and Fried Choco Bombs from which I liked the Fried Choco Bombs, served with ice cream and chocolate sauce. In a conclusion if you are looking for a place to have some Asian street food this is the place you can drop by.

Balewadi High Street has slowly emerged to be one of the best locations in Pune to enjoy exotic culinary delicacies coupled with a scintillating night life and great deal of variety of restaurants and cuisines to choose from. Another gem I recently discovered in this deluge of establishments is Five Fat Monks and it left me spellbound. 🚩AMBIENCE (3/5): The ambience is not so great, but believe me; you don't want to go here for the ambience, the feel, the decor. When I say that, I mean to say that the food here supasses all other parameters and you can just enjoy the pure bliss of a wonderfully cooked meal. Being a quick service restaurant, higher emphasis has been placed on shorter kitchen to table time. The restaurant features simple yet elegant interiors, there's ample room for small and large groups and the seating is comfortable. 🚩FOOD (5/5): Amazingly wonderful! 🔺VEG DIMSUMS: A good dimsum can easily be told by looking at the texture and the thickness or shall I say thinness of the skin, the taste and choice of filling and whether it has been optically cooked. This one checked all boxes. The skin was transparent thin and filled with the choicest of exotic fresh greens steamed perfectly. The accompanying fresh Szechuan sauce added even more flavors to it. 🔺SPRING ROLLS : Just perfect, neither too oily nor dry. These crispy rolls were stuffed with a generous amount of finely minced veggies and had a great crunch to them that made it all the more appetizing. Try dipping them in the in house sauces served on the side and you're good to go! 🔺VEG BURNT RICE WITH HOT GARLIC SAUCE: A viand, if you may say. The sauce was the soul of this combination. Laden with a burst of hot, spicy, fresh flavors and plethora of fresh veggies, it tasted excellent with the rice. 🔺VEG BURNT CHILLI NOODLES: By far, one of the best noodles I've ever had and when I say that I have Westin, Mainland China, Malaka Spice in my mind for the comparison. These noodles are right up there, even better than some and are a beautiful creation of skillful cooking. The noodles had a lot of zing and prominent flavor of chillies which was balanced by the milder veggies and condiments. I highly recommend people to try this here. 🔺BURMESE KHOW SUEY: From Burma, Khow suey is a one-dish soup meal made out of noodles with coconut milk, and served with a variety of contrasting condiments. A squeeze of lemon also adds tanginess to Khow Suey. Caramelized onions, garlic, chopped cilantro, roasted peanuts, crispy noodles, lemon and chilli served with the khow suey lets you play with your dish and gives it a myriad of different flavors by mixing and matching the different items. The accompanying condiments add a plethora of various subtle flavours to the Khow Suey and lend it a very rich taste. Khow Suey I had here is one of the best I've had. The broth is creamy, rich and excellent in taste, flavors come out very well and have got perfect balance of the spices. The chilli gives it a zing and peanuts, crispy noodles make it nutty and crunchy. An excellent dish to try for mains if you're here. 🔺MAKE YOUR OWN WOK: I opted for Brown rice in Saiwoo sauce with Tofu and exotic veggies. The sauce had a sweet, spicy, tangy taste and the rice was cooked to the optimum. The taste was more towards the spicier side,so if you're a fan of spicy food, this one's for you. 🔺DESSERTS: We had the mango lemongrass Jelly, chocolate noodle sticks and pancakes with whipped cream, .After the scrumptious mains, the desserts felt blissful and comforting. I was in awe of the noodle sticks, crispy and chocolatey, they made for a great sweet tooth snack. The pancakes could've been fluffier but were fresh and loaded with cream.I liked the unique mango jelly, which was light and jiggly and the perfect way to end the meal on a high note. 🚩SERVICE (5/5): Being a quick service restaurant, the service was excellent with no qualms whatsoever. Despite being a weekend, they managed the crowd seemingly well. 🚩VALUE FOR MONEY (5/5): Prepared with the freshest of ingredients and offering a

One of the best eating joints , in terms of food that I came across. My personal fav that I would recommend everyone to go n try atleast once , it would change the definition of "Pure Veg" for you. I have never seen such a filling menu of a vegetarian restaurant. Countless options to choose from. Oriental , Italian , Indian etc . Small cozy place to visit with your friends n family :) courteous staff and great service. 10 on 10 to the chef

The food was great even though they messed up the soup order the first time . But they changed it and it was great. The pizza was not very filling but the taste was great. The rissoto was absolutely tasty. The best part of the meal was the garlic bread . The overall dinner was great I just felt like I am eating food for diabetics as the chef's hand on salt is very light and had to add salt to most of the dishes. The staff needs to be trained for service as the service leaves something to be desired.

Fatcook ! Thank you ! It was almost 5 months since we ate anything from outside but thanks to your amazing food and timely delivery you continue to surprise us every single time ! The chinese is superb ! With great portions and absolute value for money, it's a treat as always. We ordered Paneer 65, American chop suey ( my favorite ) & Schezwan noodles. Every single dish was delicious. Keep up the good work !

The food is rele tasty . But the quantity is not satisfactory. Today i ordered Gobi manchurian from fatcook . The taste was good. But I felt that the quantity was very little. It looked like half the plate but the price is high so basically the quantity is not as per the price.
Sometimes it’s more about the experience and less about the food. Well, this visit to Fatcook started exactly on a similar note. We were greeted by the co-owner of the place on our evening visit here. I had heard about Fatcook to be a veggie-friendly place and to possess really interesting vegetarian dishes. Finally, the curiosity brought me here last week.
The name Fatcook comes from the head chef and co-owner of the restaurant. He is said to be a healthy individual with a love for cooking as well as eating food.
Being an avid non-vegetarian I was excited to try the new vegetarian dishes Fatcook had to serve.
Food- We started with two nice warm soups on a cool evening. Tom Kha Soup and Zuppa de Broccoli
Thick coco nutty Tom Kha was perfect for the mood and to get the engine running. With the bits and pieces of veggies in between, it tasted superb. The Zuppa de Broccoli was little watery hence tasted less creamy. Since it’s a creamy soup I would prefer it with fewer chunks of veggies and more consistent.
Moving on to the appetizers. Huh! Well, it was a day we missed those warm alcohol pegs. In came the Karari Bhendi and Baingan fry. The crispy bhindi tasted like namkeen and the baingan was delicious with the Rawa coating giving it the crunchiness. As I said, we missed a few drinks with those two. We also ordered Veg. Bullet. Appetizers prepared to look like a bullet lacked the sharp taste that was expected of it. The outer coating was too dry and the batter could have been moister inside.
It was time to go all Italian. On came the Risotto Al Classica and Penne Al Funghi Pasta. The Risotto at first looked overcooked but the first bite was all about perfection. The rice had been cooked to perfection. The chalky flavour was retained and the seasoning was delicious. Same story with the pasta. The creamy sauce tasted really good.
Our host/hotel owner suggested that Fatcook is popular for its Italian and Indian cuisine. Naturally, we had to try their Indian cuisines and we opted for the two recommended vegetables- Veg Patiala and Paneer do pyaaza. To accompany those we ordered Onion kulcha, crispy kulcha bread topped with sesame seeds and fried onions. Veg Patiala has a unique type of preparation method. The vegetable is wrapped up in papad dough and then fried. Later it’s cooked in a tomato puree gravy. A must-try for every veg foodie. Paneer do pyaaza was on a sweeter side but I genuinely loved the taste and simple minimalistic yet delicious execution. Two thumbs to the chef.
Last but not least desserts. I was full after a heavy and scrumptious meal but when asked for a dessert couldn’t say no. As we had numbers we decided to go for 2 desserts. Tiramisu Mousse and Choco lava bomb. The mousse was light and delicate and with the chocolate flavour combined tasted delicious. Must try. The Choco lava bomb was freshly baked and one can see and feel the freshness by breaking open the tender cake. The chocolate oozed out of the cake like lava. Perfect! Served with a vanilla ice cream this dessert completed our food adventure for the evening.
Ambience- The place is perfect for family lunch and dinner. Plus they have air-conditioned sitting inside where smaller groups or couples can be comfortably seated. They also have a terrace space available for small parties and functions of 40-50 people.

Overall- Visit for the new menu they are trying out, go there for their hospitality and definitely visit foe the tried and tested classic dishes. A complete veg restaurant.

Food: 5/5
Ambiance: 5/5
Staff: 5/5
Service: 5/5

Incredible food quality, great taste and some really good flavours in there. Had some variety of dishes to go with. The stand outs being Karari bhindi, Baingan, risotto and pasta. A wonderful outlet for veg food and definitely worth all the penny. Really fresh fragrant taste to the dishes here with some lip smacking soups too. Loved the Tom khuan soup.
Quick service and very courteous staff. Humble, well mannered and aware of the food ingredients. Infact the owner himself helped us with some crazy food suggestions and that was the best part.
Ambiance was next level. Soothing, peaceful and very good lighting. Great decor with decent seating space.
Overall, a very heart warming service which made a mark and thus a must place to visit again and again. Probably one of the finest veg outlets in pune. Thank you so much for your service

Being a pure vegetarian it’s is difficult to find a good pure veg restaurant which serves really delicious food. Recently I came across this restaurant and this place has taken veg food to another level.
This place serves some amazing dishes and has a lovely ambiance with indoor and outdoor seating arrangement. The place is mostly crowded on weekends as well on weekdays but still the staff and the service is quite impressive.
Talking about food,
We started with ULTIMATE FATCOOK NACHOS, MUSHROOM BRUSCHETTA, CRISPY BHINDI. All three were just amazing but, crispy bhindi was my favourite of all.
Then forward we even tried MEXICAN PIZZA, FATCOOK SPECIAL PASTA and CLASSIC RISSOTO. Pizza was real crisp and cheesy. Pasta and rissoto were like super creamy and tasty.
For desserts we ordered ORANGE PANNACOTA, TIRAMISU and CHOCO LAVA BOMB. TIRAMISU was a bit disappointing but choco lava cake just compensated everything. It was so amazing that we actually ordered another one after we tasted the first one.
Overall we had an amazing experience and I would definitely recommend to visit this place once and it won’t disappoint you at all.

FatCook
This lovely place is in Baner and they are serving customers past 12 years. It's a Veg multi-cuisine restaurant. The ambience is quite good and divides into three different sections:
1) Outdoor Sitting with table and chairs 2) Ground Floor sitting and 3) First Floor sitting with tables and couches.
Service is abrupt and the place is extensively crowded on weekends. Would suggest to get pre-bookings on weekends.
______________________________
**Food**
1) Ultimate Fatcook Nachos
These nachos are their speciality and most recommended. Please don't wait a longer period of time and try to eat it before it gets soggy.
.
2)Crispy Bhindi
It was just appetizing and cripsy.
.
3)Fatcook Special Pasta
.
4)Classic Risotto
Delectable and perfectly blended risotto made my evening.

Glad to see such a place exists in Baner where utmost care is taken to prepare every single dish they serve.
Each dish is freshly prepared and all the ingredients used are made inhouse.
The place might seem small but it's cozy and the ambience is just awesome. Fresh vibes with ample of seating arrangement.
Coming to the food,
Cheese fingers were amazing. The filling was made up of cheese and diced green bell peppers, coated with batter and fried. The coating was light and crispy.
Nachos were freshly prepared, served with cheese sauce and garnished using capsicum n cabbage.
Pizza was my favourite. The pizza base is light, fluffy and has that perfect chew to it. They use a pizza stone which helps the bottom of the pizza to cook evenly and makes it hard (in a good way). You get to see this kind of crust/bottom only in authentic woodfired oven pizzas.
Risotto classica was creamy and had that small hint of tanginess. The dish was cooked perfectly.
Coming the Desserts,
Chocolate bomb was my favourite! It is served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The hot liquid chocolate just ozzes out from the soft shell/cake.
The Trimasu is totally authentic and different from your regular sweet flavour.
The orange panna cotta was soft in texture. Liked it.

Overall, a good place to hangout with your family and friends. Total value for money place.

Amazing place! Everything was just perfect. From the ambience to food to courteous staff, I had a great time eating here. The owner Mr. Abhimanyu is a humble, sweet person. He suggested us the best things to try there.

We had Zuppa di Broccoli & Lemon Coriander soup. They both were delicious. In starters, Paneer Angara Kebab & Masala Garlic Bread (their speciality) were awesome. Especially masala garlic bread, its a must try for a foodie. Risotto al funghi was the tastiest risotto I've ever had in my life! We also ordered Pasta Del Barone which was also good.

We drove 20 kms to eat there and I must tell you, it was absolutely worth it!

In spite of vacant tables, we wished to sit on a corner table. The attendant asked us to sit on a smaller table for 2 near the kitchen entrance, I requested non verbally, he politely nodded no. And we left. Thank you.

We went really late at night around 11 o'clock. At first they denied us but later they let us in. Thank you so much for that.
We ordered paneer tikka masala and paneer butter masala. There were 6 of us. The quantity was 'just enough'. It's not very heavy on the pocket either!

We went for dinner to fat cool which used to be our favourite veg reastaurent .but unfortunately for my last two visits the food wasn't up to the mark.
I ordered a kaju. Curry n 2 tandoori rotis
The kaju curry was actually Mirchi curry! So much spicy ! It never used to be like this before.

Even the amount of kajus in curry was very less compared to all other times I visited.

Disappointed. I had to go for a dessert outside to get rid of the spicyness!

Worst service ever . We visited the restaurant on a Sunday night for a dinner. First disaster came in the form of soups (manchow soup) . Tasteless and full of water ( don't ever order soups here) . The serving time was like 1 dish per hour. The appetizers stimulated the appetite ( at least tried to ) and then the service time just killed it. The main course was also an abominable mess ( at least we thought we were ordering safe option paneer tikka masala but it was equally bad). I have visited the place in the past also and I had liked it before but the food was utter garbage this time . Giving 1 star for good masala papad, water and onions as it is very difficult to mess these things up . Not visiting again and won't recommend either.

It is a quite cozy and family friendly resturant. They serve pure veg . No non veg and alcohol is served here. It is a budget friendly restaurant. You need to reserve a table prior visiting the restaurant since it attracts good kinda crowd. The food service is amazingly fast. Quality and quantity of the food items are satisfactory. I cant pick one food item to review. One can order any of the items available in menu and will get suprised by their service in a good way. They accept zomato gold as well.

Craving for Vegetarian delicacies, but not necessarily Indian totally? Pasta, pizzas, and their desserts are a must-try at this all-vegetarian restaurant. So Fatcook located in Baner should be in the list of all the vegetarians. This place will offer you a variety of Dishes right from Indian, Italian and of-course lip smacking desserts. The ambience here is good enough with comfortable seating arrangements. They have both indoor and outdoor seating arrangements.

So we started off with Ultimate Fatcook Nachos and Mushroom Multani Kebab. I would recommend the Mushroom Multani Kebab. The amount of fillings along with the spice added tasted amazing. This was a spicy tandoori preparation of stuffed mushrooms. It was so damn delicious! The Nachos, what can I say?Honestly there was a proportionate mixture of veggies, mayo , cheese, sauce and spices. The nachos were very crispy and with each bite the taste was so delicious.

Talking about the food over here especially the main course, we tried Risotto Classica. This dish was bursting with flavors and so properly cooked.Basically it was brown rice which was so rich and creamy. It had the flavor of tomato sauce and cheese. From the Indian main course we went ahead with Veg Jalfrezi and Onion Garlic Naan. Veg Jalfrezi being a semi dry dish had a mild spicy tangy mix of veggies.Loved it !

The desserts over here will surprise you. They were heavenly and irresistible. Tried the Tiramisu and Orange Panacotta. Personally liked the Tiramisu alot. It was a delight to eat which actually sealed the entire food deal.

Needless to say, with an extremely hospitable and caring staff, simple decor this place justifies your experience and is a great junction to come along with you friends and family to gorge onto some good food.

Happy Eating!Follow @yummydelightsdiary on Instagram

A great place to go for the vegetarians and for the people who are hard core non veg you should give a try to the fusion they have tried their hands on the Veg items. So basically I hv tried their Italian Veg Cuisine and I found them all very fresh and full of rich flavours.
Briefly coming to food~
Bruschetta is a must go for.. loved the herbs and fresh cream.
Penne Al Funghi pasta was made up of mushrooms, bechamel sauce, parsley, chopped garlic, black olives which added a great taste
Even I tried their Napoli Pizza..it was quite basic you can opt if you want to..
So the thing that they are going to introduce in the menu is the Firangi kobi which is loaded with spices and was such a blast of flavours.
The dessert was very cool named as Chocolate Bomb.
The decor is simply beautiful for any pure veg restaurant. It adds to the ambience.
Overall a very good experience I can always go fo this if I choose my meal to be Veg for the day!

The name "Fatcook" sounds interesting. This is a pure veg restaurant. Had been to this place to try its veg delicacies. They have an amazing decor. They have kept many plants inside and outside which enhances its beauty. They have ample seating capacity including indoor, outdoor and in indoor, they have both ground floor and upstairs. They have live kitchen outside. The staff are really courteous. I liked their service.

Started with Tom Kha Soup.
◾Tom Kha: The best soup to start with. It was very refreshing. The flavor of coconut milk enhanced its taste.

Coming to food:
◾Masala Garlic Bread: I liked its toppings. The toppings comprised bell peppers, onion, garlic, chilli flakes . The coriander leaves were sprinkled over the top in order to make it attractive to watch. It was properly cooked and the taste was amazing.

◾FatCook Special Pasta: I liked the sauce very much. It had all the green veggies and tasted well. It can serve two people.

Main Course comprised onion kulcha and Paneer Gravy. The kulcha was topped with onions and it was very soft. Want to try some Italian,Continental or Indian Veg food at decent Price with a great ambience all around?? Then Fatcook is the option.

It is a nice calm place having both indoor and outdoor seating area. The inner one has further both upstairs and downstairs seating option. They have small plants decorated in their ambience which makes the aura even more beautiful and charming.

We tried both Indian and Italian cuisines from their menu . Now let's go in detail:

➡ Tom Kha Soup - It is a rich creamy Thai soup with coconut milk as its core ingredient . It had diced vegetables too in it. It was hot and refreshing. The overall taste was a little sweet and tasted really well.
#highlyrecommended

➡ Masala Garlic Bread : Garlic Bread Or Bruschetta but with a twist of masala in it. It had a layer of masala topped on a large garlic bread with toppings such as onion ,corn, capsicum, coriander and other spices. The texture was great and tasted quite well.

➡ Paneer Peshawari - It is their going to be launched Indian starter. It had small Paneer rolles stuffed with Paneer ,spices and coriander seeds inside and served with Capsicum and onions. It had a decent taste with a balanced flavour.

➡ FatCook Special Pasta - It is their signature Pasta with a lot of veggies in it. It was served with 2 garlic breads. Trust me this White Sauce Pasta was scrumptious and great in taste. The texture was thick as a Pasta should be and was perfect in flavour and taste.

➡ Paneer Lazeez and Onion Kulcha - This combination was nice and I loved the Paneer gravy. It was indeed good.

And yes how can I forget the dessert when you have Hot Brownie with Ice cream. The brownie is made in house and was damn soft. It was great in taste and the ice cream with it is always a to do combination. It is a must try dish if you are here❣

Fatcook is a must visit place for vegetarian friendly people . You can come here with family or friends and enjoy the food with a calm ambience and great service ❤

Fatcook, a really amazing place for Vegetarians, situated in Baner-Balewadi Road. A small, cool and cosy place perfect for any occasion whether family dinner, friends get together or date with a loved one. The one thing guaranteed is great food.

Decor was really nice and calm. The seating area divided into indoor and outdoor.

The menu was nicely curated, elaborated and divided into three sections: Italian, Indian and Continental. We tried Italian and Indian cuisines.

In starters we tried, Ultimate Fatcook nachos and Mushroom Multani Kebab. Both were really amazing and delicious. The nachos were really not overdone with mayo sauce or cheese or even salsa, which make nachos very moist. Perfectly done with lots of veggies also and also crunchiness were intact. Mushroom Multani Kebabs was really amazing. The marination and the filling used was really lip-smacking. Spicy but delicious.

Talking about the main course, we tried Risotto Classica. Nicely done risotto in the arrabbiata sauce. I really liked the flavours and everything of the risotto. In Indian, we ordered Veg Jalfrezi and Onion Garlic Naan. I loved the Veg Jalfrezi and it's highly recommended. Very innovative and finger-licking.

Lastly, the desserts which were heavenly. We tried the Tiramisu and Orange Panacotta. The tiramisu was really really amazing. I loved the flavour of coffee which was there in every bite. Also, Orange Panacotta was really yummy.

Overall my experience was really great for many reasons: Firstly, I tried two of my favourite cuisines: Italian and Indian and I am super happy. Secondly, Its only 20 minutes away from my home so I can drop by anytime. Thirdly, I was superbly happy with the desserts served. I can visit the place only have that Tiramisu.

Only thing I was a little concerned that there were limited options for drinks. They can introduce mocktails if possible. But the great food available will surely make you forget this.

Overall Rating :

*Ambience : 4/ 5
*Service :4.5/ 5
*Food : 5/ 5
*VFM : 4.5/5

very bad experience today. We ordered veg munchurian which was half cooked. Then we ordered some pizza suggested by waiter and it was horrible. Pizza base had fungus, it was stale and very old. I would not recommend this restaurant as they are serving old and stale food.

Very poor service. No ambience. I had a mediocre pizza and a bird size portion of their speciality pasta. Food was not good. Lassi serced was not cold. I asked for a cold one, which they couldn't facilitate. Overall bad experience. Not recommended.

Worst experience:

1. Menu condition is very pathetic, A4 size papers with ample of waste food stick to that
2. Service is very patheic, very slow and they do not serve the food
3. We ordered Mumbai Pizza, it was just tomsto sauce and single mustroomn cut in 10pcs
4. We ordered Lassi, which was very hot. It supoosed to be cold
5. Pasta portion is very less, fit only for half person appetite

Visited the place first time. Nice cozy place to hangout with friends. Had an amazing experience.
Personally tried the Lemon Coriander Soup for the first time and it was just Great!! Also as I don't like paneer that much but because of my friends I tried the Paneer Pasanda in main course and it was also very nice.
Overall food quality and quantity was good.
Will certainly be going back!!!

It's an okay-ish place. Nothing too fancy. We went on weekday. The place was almost empty. We ordered Paneer Tikka, Masala Papad, Veg Patiala, and butter roti. Veg Patiala was a bit different. But overall everything was edible. I can go there for quick bite or something like that. But definitely not on Date.

One more point to add: it seems their POS machine was not working. So it's best if you take cash with you for the payment. I had to search for nearest ATM to withdraw cash for the payment. They didn't had option of UPI payment.

Having foodie friends is just a bliss. I happened to visit this amazing restaurant with a vegetarian blogger friend. It's a small, cosy place with both indoor and outdoor seating arrangement. The indoor seating arrangement however comprises of a mezzanine floor which is not meant for the tall people though.
We first ordered Manchow soup and Zuppa Di Broccoli. The soups were perfect for winters and very yummy. However, I found the taste of soya sauce a little bit overpowering in the Manchow soup. The Zuppa Di Broccoli on the other hand was very creamy and a healthy option.
For starters we ordered quite a lot of dishes which have been mentioned below. First to be mentioned is the Peshawari Paneer Kebab which has a green leafy filling inside a thin paneer roll. It is served with a green chutney and a beetroot infused mayo. The beetroot mayo compliments the dish very well.
I am not a big nachos fan, but I quite liked the nachos with cheese sauce in here. The stuffed cheese fingers were very tasty and beautifully plated. Lastly, must to be mentioned is the Mushroom Multani Kebab which were a real treat to my taste buds. I am a big fan of stuffed mushrooms and this dish has indeed stood up to my expectations. We then ordered Pasta Funghi e Piselli which had a pink creamy sauce and beautifully plated again with bell peppers on the top. Moving on to main course we ordered Veg Jalfrezi with onion garlic naan. It was medium spicy and tasted really good.
At the end, for desserts we had tiramisu and orange pinacotta. The jiggly tiramisu instantly gave the perfect hit of coffee as soon as it got inside the mouth. The orange pinacotta however was the star of the day. I have tried pinacottas at many places but the one served here is just amazing.

This place surely impresses you with their amazing dishes as well as their presentations. A big thumbs up👍👍

Nice! The place is heaven for Pure Veg peoples. The ambiance is Very Good as compare to only Pure Veg restaurants. The service is also good. The price is not too high. It is a pocket-friendly restaurant. Now we talk about taste - the Taste was superb. Everyone should try once. It's worth to go there. For Vegetarian Peoples it's a treat.

Visited this cute little place at the corner of the road. What really got me curious about the place was the name of the place itself!
What I tried and my ratings-

1) Manchow Soup- I loved the taste of it. Was perfectly cooked with the right amount of spices in it. Would rate 5/5
2) Dal Makhanj-It was a good creamy blend, but could have been much better taste wise. Would rate -3/5
3) Pizza- Did not dissappoint. Fresh toppings and nicely baked with desirable amount of cheese. Would rate it 4/5

I loved the stafff there, they were very helpful and courteous.
Would love to visit again!

We had gone to celebrate my mother's birthday. I chose this restuarant and was not disappointed at all. The food here is very tasty. We had ordered Garlic bread for a starter and Paneer Butter Masala, Cheese Garlic Nan, Butter Nan for the main course. The staff os also very co-operative. Thumbs up to this place

This resturant has nice ambience, you can choose whether to sit in open or inside. We were really hungry by the time we reach fatcook so we directly ordered main course. We ordered dam Aloo kashmiri, the gravy was amazing and then Paneer do pyaza was very delicious. Over all North Indian food is nice. Breads here are very light. Then coming to desert, the ones who like the creamy part of cake must try Tiramisu and others can have chocolate lava bomb with vanilla ice cream.

Based on ratings and other ppl comments specific about pizza I tried to visit this place for pizza but experience was not good in terms of quality of pizza base and toppings.

I suggest to ppl, don't visit this place for PIZZA and I can't say about other food items.

Service is prompt and the staff is very polite. It's a nice small place. There are lots of options in the menu. We had ordered a pizza and honey glazed fries and both were good!!

Food was good... Ambience was also good. Since it is a pure veg restaurant, I was a little reluctant before going. But I came out fully satisfied. Very delicious and great stuff.
I had Hara Bhara Kebab, Paneer Lazeez, Butter Naan.
The only thing that was missing was the proper attention from the staff. They were in too much hurry to clean the plates. Other than that this place is good.

This place has good ambiance indoor as well as outdoor. About my experience this was 50-50 because someone of items are not good enough like pasta, pizza and some of items are excellent like paneer tikka masala, paneer Angara kabab. Some of items are overrated.

Good restaurant with polite customer support and nice decent crowd. Not very good with ambience as it's a small place and you will have to wait much longer in weekends. Food is nice and we had lot of fun with our friends and enjoyed our dinner very much.
Service is good.

Been to this place with my brother and sister-in-law and really liked their customer service. Their veg Manchurian, burnt garlic spinach rice and cheese garlic bread are must try dishes from the menu. Do not forget to end your meal with chocolate walnut brownie!

The food and ambience both are really good. The service is fast. I loved the cheese garlic bread. The paneer tikka pizza and the chocolate walnut brownie were also amazing.

Fatcook - best vegetarian restaurant in Baner.
Wide variety of dishes in Italian, Indian and Oriental. We tried few of them from all the cuisines. Must say loved all the dishes as they had different taste and presentation. The service was good and most important - value for money.

The dishes that we ordered - Tom Kha soup, Cheese corn balls, Paneer Lazeez - newly introduced dish and a must try, Italian Bruschetta, Fatcook special Pasta & Chocolate Brownie with Ice cream - a perfect end to an amazing dinner.

Will surely visit again to try their other new dishes.

very spicy food

The obvious - ambience was nice, peaceful, with a touch of light instrumental music. Sitting on the upper deck felt nice.

The food - spaghetti smelt of a cleaning cloth. Needless to say that it was undercooked as well. A couple sitting near my table actually made the waiter spray some air freshener around because it was stinking. Garlic bread was too crispy.

The service - was fast and professional. The waiters and staff were nice and friendly. Perhaps, the cook needs some more practice...
