The experience is always nice. It can be a bit tricky to find a parking spot but once done it is a smooth ride. It is a self service place with high stone-top tables where you can stand and eat.
Each table has a paper napkin dispenser and a green coriander chutney dispenser.
You can order at the counter and watch them prepare your roll. You can order drinks like Thumsup or minute maid etc.
The rolls taste yummy. The choice is largely between chicken, egg, paneer, and potato..
It is an open and uncovered area under a tree. Once you are in the eating area, it is fun to absorb the activity around.

Overhyped. Ordered a chicken kathi roll double filling. The quantity of chicken in the roll was good, but you expect that when you pay 150 bucks for a roll. No taste in the roll whatsoever. The base could have been a bit crunchy. The chicken was a bit undercooked and lacked spices. The lack of sauces added to the misery.

This is my favourite place near pune station for katthi kababs. It is a little bit pricey for my liking but the food is just amazing. I am never gonna get tired eating the katti kabab.<br/>They have egg, aalu, aalu & paneer, chicken single filling, chicken double filling, chiken tikka.<br/>One bite of the roll and a explosion of flavours takes place inside your mouth. Lots of Sauce, veggies and too spicy that is what came to our mind when we think of rolls but KATHI ROLLS are way unique in every way. The real taste of chicken and veggies are what we experienced in every single bite. Last place on earth to have kathi rolls. Ordered Chicken kathi roll, The chicken was not cleaned when we took out the chicken from the roll and placed it on the plate it was not cleaned, trust me it was the most disgusting thing to me that day, the chicken was not cooked. One side of the roll was some green marinated onions & other side uncooked chicken. When we told the person at the counter he was like, i dnt care take egg roll instead. All tables were dirty we had to request them to clean it. Asked them for sauce they said green chutney hai na 1 bottle only lying some were we had find it like the POKEMON game. <br/><br/>LAST AND FINAL VISIT...NEVER COMING AGAIN i am sure it dsnt matter to them but cannot dare to eat again there.

Id read about this place online and I had to visit it.<br/>I paid a visit on Saturday evening and there was a lot of rush. A open kitchen and counter,you can get a glimpse of how the rolls are made. The outside area is setup with 2-3 tall tables.<br/><br/>I tried the chicken kathi kebab roll(single filling)<br/>Slightly spicy,and high on flavour. The chicken was succulent and properly cooked.<br/>Really happy with the quantity served for 110 Rs.<br/><br/>Service took about 10 minutes.<br/>It's not easy to get a parking here.

This place serves fairly decent quality chicken kathi roll. This is more like a franky than a kathi roll. The roti is soaked in oil and has a layer of egg with it. It has no seating options and is more on the lines of a takeaway joint. Don't go there expecting your conventional kathi rolls.

There are not many places in Pune serves kathi kababs and from the very few, this is one of the best (for me its the on the same level as Karim's from camp, now renamed as Olympia kababs). This place is running since long time, easy to find, every single person will know the address, there is Kapila executive hotel, kapila sandwich and kapila ice cream on the same street, its like a kapila street now.<br/><br/>Ambiance: This is a normal shop where you will get the kathi kabab and you will have to stand and eat and go. There are no chairs, only high round tables to put your plates and there are tissues and mint chutney bottles on every table. Nothing much to speak about here.<br/><br/>Service: Very quick. The menu is short, everything is ready and they make it in bulk quantity so waiting time is really less. The only time it takes to coat the roti with egg and then fill it with the chicken. Good service I would say.<br/><br/>Food: Now, lets come to the actual interesting part. The menu is very short, 2 options for vegetarians, paneer roll and aloo roll. 2 options for non vegetarians, chicken kathi kabab and chicken tikka. They also serve egg roll for the egg lovers.<br/><br/>Best bet here is the chicken kathi kabab (single filling / double filling). If you are really hungry then only go for the double filling otherwise single filling would be more than enough to satisfy your urge of chicken :) The quantity is good for the price we pay, they serve a big roti, coated with egg, roasted on tawa, stuffed with traditional coriander and mint chutney and thinly sliced onions. OMG, the combination is so damn yum, roll is juicy, mildly spiced, chicken pieces are nicely sized, cooked to perfection, tender and soft, its just way too good to explain. One needs to try out in person.<br/><br/>Now coming back to Paneer roll, its not at all satisfactory. Paneer is cooked nicely but the flavor somehow doesn't match the exceptions which are already set by chicken kathi kabab. Improvements can be done on the taste part for the vegetarians but the place is known for kathi kabab and you should try it out once.

These kathi kebabs are a Pune institution. Here at Kapil's they are famous. Easy on the pocket and frequented by office workers who lke to sit and eat here. I had gone today to have a quick lunch but found that several sticky flies were also after my roll. I opted not to have the chutney and found the chicken filling chili hot but lacking that special quality that I prefer at Kareem's.

Good quality Kathi kebab with reasonable rates, in open ambiance but according my experience don't try it on Mondays if tried next day will be a bad day for you..otherwise excellent. .<br/><br/>

Kapila katti kebab, situated at dhole patil road, one of the most famous for its rolls. College students njoy the rolls over here, i had a gud time in rainy season. The best you can have is double chicken filling rolls u can eat just 1 at a time. They should work on their chicken fillings its bit dry but over good.Veg ppl can try panner and aloo rolls. A very pocket frndly resto, which will fill up your tummy.

Over the years, Quality decreased drastically and Price increased exponentially !! This place is small with no seating available so you have to stand and eat. Till now, I have tried all available options.<br/><br/>Their paratha for roll is still good, they spread egg over paratha and use a good amount of oil to bake it. The chicken stuffing was tasteless, no spices at all. Due to an onion, I was able to finish it. I don't understand why they use so much lemon in preparation, sometimes it overpowers complete experience. Green chutney was good.<br/><br/>So try this outlet if you are out of time and want a quick food!

Have been at this place a number of times. The experience has been good. Filling and delicious kathi rolls. Quite well-priced and definitely a good value for money. Though they have a very specific menu, all of it is made really well.

Have been going to this place since I was a kid! <br/><br/>And nothing much has changed since then, barring the prices and the shift in place. <br/><br/>The chicken kathi rolls are a must have. As for the the paneer and aloo roll, it's not as good as their chiken one. Easy on the pocket. Easily a quick bite. <br/>

This one is in the category of The Legends. All Legends are not tasty Legends I would say !! Ordered paneer kathi roll @ Rs100. Total VFM for sure. Full marks for VFM. Quantity and price does make sense frm a customer perspective. Again total VFM :) Paneer roll has paneer bhurji made in little tangy brown coloured preparations had garam masala after taste. Tasty. Also had raw slice onions , squized lemon juice and mint chutney. Paneer and Tangy mint chutney combo has to taste good. Classic combo. Now important and sad part abt the whole taste comes....First bite and u get very generously stuffed paneer and just little taste of chutney makes u feel wow and to spoil this u suddenly gets taste of chapati/roti made of maida ladden with 50ml of oil and u feel u drinking oil by the time u reach half portion of the roll. In this world of health cautious surroundings you will definitely not go back to eat this oily roll. Oil used in making this roll can spoil the delicious roll - I had never thought rather I thought oily will be tasty but big no no to amount of oil used. Rating reduced by 0.5 only bcoz of the amount of oil used.<br/>

A great and old places to have katti rolls. Its a no frills place, nothing fance but great food. They have a very limited menu but thats not a problem because they make great rolls.

Had heard lots about the place..a casual weekend dinner plan to have something light and pocket friendly...we ended up here..chicken Kathi rolls were super yummy with the light crunchy roti and the mint chutney adds a n awesome flavour..can't wait to cm next time and try the veg one too

Finally gotta chance to visit this place. Its famous for kathi kebab rolls. <br/>We ordered chicken kathi kebab roll. It was combination of a white flour and lots of chicken chunks. They cover inner side of roti or tortillas you can say with egg omelet and loads it with spicy chicken chunks. It also contains mint and onions which given crunchyness. Was really very good. <br/>Actually I was disappointed bcoz when it say kathi kebab ,I expected kathi kebab wrapped into tortillas but it was not like that. <br/>They have very limited menus. <br/>About ambience ,its a small outlet with tables outside ,no chairs or seating arrangements. <br/>Service was quick.<br/>Would like to visit it again to try another menu items.

For my every visit to Pune, I make sure to have Kathi rolls from here. Have tried rolls everywhere but never found one, like this.<br/>The preparation for kebab starts from afternoon, which is easily visible. The aroma of the spices, chicken spreads in the vicinity when they cook. 1 Kathi roll, with single filling can fill you up. Kebabs are nice, juicy soft served with chopped onion, lemon juice, green chutney.<br/>I can recommend this place to anyone... Seriouslly a must try.

Kapila! This place is just awesome! It all started from a small "Tapri" and now they have a good place and yes it is open from morning to night. They make some lovely, tasty, yummy & scrumptious Kathi kabab rolls. <br/>The chef is a good friend who prepares the chicken overnight, does the marination and then cooks it to perfection. If you are visiting for the first time, try single filling Kathi kabab roll, oh and do not forget to ask freshly sliced onion and their signature pudina chutney! I am sure you will order a second roll. Tastes great with a Coke, Fanta or a Pepsi.

I have been having these sumptuous wraps for decades and have never been disappointed with the quality, freshness, the taste.. chicken kathi roll single filling or double filling or order veg aalu/ aalu paneer roll the taste is worth every penny ...Very good on pocket, recently shifted to opposite of kapila business hotel with ample space for a roll joint ...Order any roll veg or nonveg but with omelette is highly recommended.
