Review Karlo Art Kitchen & Cafe - Pune

Really loved the place. Nice and cozy restaurant (if you are a fan of cozy places). The restaurant itself is established at a local residential area. The menu offers food from continental , Italian through Indian and variety of desserts and drinks of all type. Though the quantity offered for the given price may be a little illsuited. The American service is quick and the staff is well trained and professional as well. Every dish on the menu has it's authentic taste and reflects the culture of it's origin. A must try restaurant for a small family get-togethers , couples , and friends.

A great place with simply awesome ambience! They have converted an old bungalow into a restaurant and it is damn good. We ordered soups which were good in taste. In starters we ordered Bhakarwadi chaat and Garlic bread, both were great in taste. In main course we ordered white sauce pasta which was fabulous and the other one was south Indian mix spices pasta ( I don't remember the exact name) but it was good. Egg extra and rice is also a good thing to try there. Staff is very polite and prompt. Service and food quality is good. It is not a very expensive place.

A bungalow turned into cafe..this place is real good for all Instagram lovers! Ambience:5/5 Food:4/5 The food here is a bit of experimental. You need to go in with a blank slate to enjoy the taste of the ‘art’ they add to the food. Perfect place for a chill evening with friends.

Ambiance:Ever wished to visit Goa or Pondicherry? There's this place which strikes your eyes when you pass by Deccan Gymkhana. This place is a bungalow Awestruckingly transformed into a restaurant. The colors of this restaurant will give you feeling like you are at a very happening place. You can enjoy the food inside the bungalow or on the tables arranged in the surroundings. Food:Mocktails: Coastal Reverie: An invigorating beverage, Mellow cashew apple nectar highlighted with fennel. This mocktail was somewhat mellow contrasted with others. Pom Pom: It is a Pomegranate based beverage with brilliant red shading. A reviving beverage since it is a mint beverage and pomegranate pearls coasting in pink-shaded jumbled pomegranate. Smoothies:Wake up: It comprises of Nutella, oats, and espresso. A flawless beverage you have to overcome the day. It truly liquefies in your mouth making you need more. Another solid and delectable smoothie. Green Goddess: If you want a scrumptious and reviving then this smoothie is for you! It comprises of spinach, basil, pineapple, lemon, and mint. Salads: Game Changer: The flavors were superbly adjusted. One of my most loved plate of mixed greens which is a mix of jowar grains and carrots. Panzanella: It incorporates the best of Veggies, for example, Tomatoes, Cucumber, Red pepper, Onions and Crotons. A decent alternative to going with your Meal. Ma-Me-Mo: Melon and watermelon marinated with crisp mozzarella and mark mint dressing served artistically in a glass. Eggplant rolls: A totally one of a kind dish which liquefies in your mouth making you dribble over it. Eggplant fragments, loaded down with walnut studded rich minty leaves. Batata Wada: These are little wadas set in a bun presented with mayo. Evey Punekars most eaten snack is well served by the chef. Bakarwadi Millet Chat: A one of a kind dish for you! A chaat taste dish which incorporates tasty Bakarwadi. Starters: Hassle Back excess: Another special yet delicious dish. Heated potatoes, velvety spinach, and cheddar make a flawless mix! Meaty Mushroom Burger: this one is a Mushroom filled burger which is totally delighted. Mains: Tandoor platter: A tremendous Platter that incorporates Panner, Mushrooms and Cutlet Marinated with the Best of Indian Spices, served with green spicy chutney. Desserts: Motichoor Cheesecake: A cheesecake with pulverized motichoor boondi and pistachio and handful dry fruits. In affection with this pastry. Anarkali: Cardamom cake, pistachio mousse, and rose jam are one of the best combinations. The pastries soften in your mouth making you need more. We truly needed to eat more of the sweet dish since it was that astounding.

⏺Karlo Art Kitchen & Cafe - When food & art combines expect a masterpiece. That's how I can describe this place in a single line.👅 Recently launched cafe has all set up in Pune with their stunning food dishes. It serves almost all veg dishes though they are very confident when it comes to their tagline 'You Simply Won't Miss The Meat'!😎 ⏺What I had there - ⏺Mocktails - ▶Dr. Apple - If you're looking for something warm, which will smooth your palate then this drink is for you. Apple juice twisted with warm spices to create a robust mocktail. It was sweet & flavourful not so concentrated & the spices like cinnamon & nutmeg really created a blast of flavor. Recommended!❤ ▶Pom Pom - Pomegranate mocktail made of juicy pomegranate seeds is a treat to soul & eyes. Pomegranate pearls floating in muddled pomegranate & mint drink. Fresh & pure mocktail was tart yet tasty. ⏺Appetizers - ▶Bakarwadi Millet Chaat - Have you ever thought about combo of Chaat with Bakarwadi ? But look no further Karlo has got it. And it is specially for Punekars! Delectable chaat loaded with crunchy & spicy Bakarwadi's & then topped with tangy tamarind sauce. Simply awesome yet heavenly delicious. Highly Recommended!❤ ▶Sev Tamatar Pintxos - Roasted cherry tomato piled onto green chutney smeared toast & then topped with sev. It was impressive at first sight but the quantity of tomato I found a bit more which made it more tangy & sour. ▶Crispy Cauliflower Skewers - I used to hate cauliflower until I visited Karlo! Cauliflower's coated in Egyptian Dukkah. i.e. Herbs, nuts,@ spices & served with snappy spiced sauce. Crispy cauliflower went well with delicious creamy sauce. I Loved the twist on this vegetable. Recommended!❤ ▶ Eggplant Roll Ups - Hats off to this creation! Eggplant silvers stuffed with walnut - studded creamy as well as minty. More add to the thrills they were loaded & topped with pomegranate grains. Very creamy with refreshing mint flavor & pomegranate grains added nice sweet hint to the flavor. Highly Recommended!❤ ⏺Main Course - ▶ Sunshine Noodles - I can eat Thai food 24/7 & so this noodles. Noodles packed full of spicy - tangy flavors were impressive. Stir fried noodles with rainbow vegetables in an open egg- envelope (omelet). The spaghetti was al dente the way it is supposed to be & pour in the sauce. A plate full of happiness. I guarantee you'll love it if you're a fan of Thai food. ⏺Desserts - ▶Anarkali - Memorable dessert that's how I'll describe it! Impressive at looks & indeed a feast for eyes! Cake made with combinations of cardamon along with pistachio mousse. Cake was nicely flavored with cardamon giving it a sweet & exotic flavor as well as aroma. Then this simple cake was gleefully devoured with a touch of rose jelly. So smooth & aromatic. A complete win for me! Highly Recommended!❤ ▶Motichoor Cheesecake - A fancy twist on classic cheesecake. It has three layers. The main layer was thick & it had mixture of soft & fresh cream cheese, eggs & sugar. The base was made of crushed cookies & then topped with crumbly Motichoor. Cake was full of sweet & tart flavor. ⏺In a nutshell, What I loved about the place is the way it is turned into an amazing cafe more than that the way 'Karlo team' has played with vegetables to make them outstanding from other veg restaurants. Staff needs to be train more because I got water at my table almost after 40-45 min but I know they will improve this for sure. Guys, no matter if you're vegetarian or non- vegetarian, visiting Karlo should be the next thing on your Agenda. So what are you waiting for? Roll up your sleeves & get ready to have a mesmerizing meal. Thank you!❤

This place deserves a special mention. 'Karlo art kitchen and cafe'. Just opened last week in a lane 8, between Prabhat road and Karve road. Being a foodie, I love to try new dishes. And the food here is mind blowing, delectable. It was difficult to remember the place where I had such delicious food last time. Probably, after 3-4 years. Very zealous and enthusiastic team. We just had 4 dishes on the menu. Many more to taste in coming days. Must visit. Food 5/5. Ambiance 5/5. Service 5/5. Hygiene 5/5.

••Art in cooking is something unique•• A 60yr old bungalow (located in lane no.8,Prabhat road)converted into a beautiful restaurant and cafe with Pondicherry feels ambience. The colour of the bungalow attracts more and the rooms were not meant to break to give the feel. They do have valet parking. Chef partner,Keertida phadke, has made the dishes inspired from travel stories and Pastry Chef,Radhika has the magical hands on desserts. They have tried to focus more on local superfoods to make them tastier. All the ingredients are natural and hno preservatives which is good for the health. Soups: Roasted Garlic Soup -This is the one soup I’d like to recommend. The warm, rich taste was mindblowing.#Recommended Warming Carrot Soup-The wholesome and nutritious version of carrot right in to the bowl. Chewy Corn Broth-The thin clear hot soup with corns and veggies added to the broth had a excellent and tasteful. The consistency could have been more thicker. Stewed Tomato Soup -The steamy and rich tomato soup with croutons.Must try here. Salads: Ma-me-mo-Scooped both the melons with mozarella giving a minty fresh flavour to the salad. The presentation of the salad was on point.#Recommended Game changer-This salad was really a game changer. It had plum jowars added to it with lots of green veggies and lettuce. The crunch of the shredded cabbages with carrot gave a zesty flavour to the salad.#Recommended Mocktails: Splash -This drink was large refreshing and nice cold as it had watermelon juice.Good for watermelon person.#Recommended Pom Pom -Sweet and flavourful of mint and pomegranate, palatable with pomegranate pearls.A very relaxing mocktail one should definitely try here.#Recommended Dr. Apple -I was really surprised to have a warm spiced mocktail.Sweet, spiced and aromatic cause of spices which makes you warm on a cold night really acting like Doctor apple😉.Really enjoyed having this mocktail. #highlyRecommended Coastal Reverie-A signature drink having mellow cashew-apple nectar juice with a healthy hint of fennel. #highlyRecommended Starters: Butte ka kees panki -Spicy corn and gujrati panki together.A snack made together with corn and topped with onions. The mixture topped with chopped onion and served with tamarind dip.Something unique to try! Meaty mushroom burger- Wait what?Meatless burger?Yes you heard it right.A meaty flavourful patty with crunchy lettuce is what makes a meaty mushroom burger. You need to try this burger here. Its amazing. #highlyRecommended Desi Detox kebabs-The kebabs were succulent and appetizing. It literally melted in my mouth serving with the yoghurt dip.And guess what it had- rajgira, jowar and lauki.😍 #highlyRecommended Tapas: Eggplant rollups-I didn’t literally feel like I had eggplant.Iam not a eggplant person though but after having this dish I’d really love to have it over again. The thin slices of eggplant stuffed with yoghurt, walnut -studded creamy minty labneh. The inner stuffings were totally creamy and minty. #Recommended Bakarwadi millet chaat -A delicious healthy chaat with every Punekar’s favourite bakarwadi. The chaat was completely tasteful, spicy, tangy yet crunchy. #Recommended Tandoor: Platter with all 7 items - It had all-mushrooms,paneer,broccoli,kissa tikki ka,aloo, lazeez! All the items were nicely marinated with the spices and tasted fantasticly flavourful. The tikkis were succulent with each bite and paneer was really fresh and soft. The platter was complete heaven for me. #musttry Mains: Sunshine noodles -Rice noodles which were spicy and tangy stir fried with rainbow vegetables sided with chilliflakes, sprouts, peanuts.A beautiful combination.#Recommended with open egg envelope. Koomu curry with appam -The mushroom curry was super thick and flavourful because of freshly grated coconut.Served with appam. Masala Mac n cheese gratin-Mac in a bubbly cheese with spicy masala hint topped with thick crispy golden cheese and parmesan. #highlyRecommended

Superb place for hangout. It's basically a Prabhat Road bungalow turned into a cafe with bright funky exteriors and spacious seating arrangements. Ambiance is very cheerful and fresh. The menu is kinda fusion : mixing Western and desi cuisines. We tried Pesto, Bakarwadi chaat and chettinad pintxos with some coolers. Pesto ia great . Bakarwadi chaat is a novel concept and definitely worth a try. Food and ambiance are up to the mark The only area that needs some improvement is service. It's kinda on the slower side. Prices are reasonable given the location and ambiance. Overall it's a pretty good place.

If you want to chill with friends without any disturbance of music crowd in mid city, it is best for them, restaurant is known for fancy delicious food. Alcohol is served at regular price. Music is soft. Staff is friendly. Underrated place in Deccan area.

Location and Ambience : 4/5 Located in Deccan Gymkhana on Prabhat Road. Karlo is a bunglow transformed in a Cafe. I totally loved the colour scheme. Yellow walls with blue windows giving a very positive and lively vibe. It has a really cute and pretty Ambience with both Indoor and Outdoor seating options. Food & Beverages : 4/5 Karlo has mainly vegetarian and vegan friendly options. Each and every dish is well curated with a Special touch. Starting off with some healthy yet delicious Smoothies - Do Good : A blend of bananas, dates , cacao and sea salt. - Green Goodness : Not all greens are good. But this one was an amazing blend of spinach , mint, pineapple and apple. Everything had a perfect balance and was complimenting each other. - Wake Up : How about a liquid breakfast with coffee, oats and Nutella. - Blush : Strawberries are yummy in Smoothies and this one with strawberries , vanilla icecream and milk chocolate was really tasty. - Oreo Shake : Our all time Favourite doesn't really need a description. Coming to some delicious breakfast and snacks -Ragi rawa Dosa : Dosa has to be everyone's go to breakfast food. But this super crispy Dosa served with some delicious Chutneys is all you need to kickstart your day. -Pesarattu Crepes : This is something different from the traditional maida crepes. These are made of green moong Dal batter and have a filling of Paneer and caramelized onions. - Thalipeeth Waffles : Being in Maharashtra Thalipeeth has to be your go to thing. But this new avatar of Thalipeeth in form of Waffles is something really different and innovative. - Socca : Who doesn't want to eat pancakes for breakfast? And imagine pancake not being made from maida. Oh Yes! Karlo has got your back. These italian pancakes made with chickpea flour was super soft and fluffy served with sauteed mushrooms, corns and some green Veggies. - Power Adai : Another healthy version of Pancake which is spicy and is made with lentils and brown rice batter. - Bhakarwadi Millet Chaat : Everything a chaat should have. Spicy, Tangy and Crunchy. Completely loved it. - Masala Mac & Cheese : The very cheesy cooked macaroni pasta with the perfect spices. - Filter Coffee : Filter Coffee is a Coffee drink made by mixing frothed and boiled milk with the decoction obtained by brewing finely ground coffee powder in a traditional Indian filter. But the filter coffee served here was not upto the mark. It wasn't frothy at all and didn't taste like Filter Coffee. - Bailey's and ChocoChip Icecream : The best thing I had here. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. The Icecream had that creamy texture and tasted amazing with the combination. Staff and Service : Staff is Friendly and the service is prompt Value for Money! 5/5 Will I visit again? Can't wait to 😍

The finest dine in place in Pune I have ever visited. They have a fabulous European Menu, that caters to your taste buds in the most awesome way. The Bar caters the best combinations of drinks. Ambience is great. The staff is amazing. Best place for a formal or a casual meet. I am in love with this place. What more can I say for it? Keep the good work going.

We heard about this place through a friend. Then on my husband's birthday we visited this place and it was worth the occasion. We were so happy to see the ambaince, it felt like collage days and like we are on a date. When looked at the menu card, saw limited options listed and started worrrying about if we will get the good food here. We ordered garlic soup, that was a complete trial for us. But soup created a very nice taste and it was a addon to the environment. Then a starter..then hot coffee and hot choclate. Everything was so good in taste and presentation. Not a single thing to complain about. Such a good option for pure veg foodies.

Liked the place and menu very much. Ambience 4, Seating 4 esp the long wooden bench, I am loving it :), taste 4.5, menu decide 4.5, service 5 We ordered So baked (tangi), kissa Tikki ka (avg), Rome-ance (perfectly baked), mocktails pom-pom and Costal Reverie were too good and ended with अफलातून coffee ice cream

Great restaurant. The food was amazing. We took a variety of dishes and all were equally good. Pastas and Anarkali (dessert) were really great.

Oh my god. This restaurant offered tastiest food we have had in years. Everything was perfect. We found closed area sitting on first floor more comfortable than open area on ground floor. Food is crafted with art, and taste is super delicious. I will be visiting again. This is a veg restaurant with egg in a few dishes. Must visit.

**New Vegetarian Place in Deccan** Comfortable wooden chairs and tables, handmade prints of tree branches on yellow walls with blue windows and multicolored lanterns acting as the primary light source come together to create a relaxing mood at this colonial-styled bungalow-turned-restaurant in Deccan. The multistoried restaurant’s kitchen is run by Keertida (Chef Partner) along with Radhika (Pastry Chef) who together use their culinary experiences and skills to bring fresh, healthy and delicious dishes on the table. The idea is to serve healthy, vegetarian delicacies in a way that even a non-vegetarian will not miss the meat options on the menu. Chef Keertida says, “Karlo is about serving global cuisines with local ingredients”, and rightly so, this 200 seater establishment has come up with a unique menu consisting of tapas and fusion food which is a bit rare to find in this locality. What’s on the menu? Kick off your meal with the heartwarming bowl of Karffir-lime scented comforting #Carrot soup or opt for a bowl of #ChewyCorn if you prefer a broth. Classics include a #StewedTomato soup served with herbed croutons. #Garlic soup is recommended by doctors to cure illnesses, but we can assure you that Karlo’s version tastes every bit as good as it sounds. The rich, silky-smooth soup is packed with flavors, nutrients and would be a great choice for any season. Hey, we won’t judge you for dipping the toasted croutons in your soup. Promise. Eating salad in a white plate is too boring, try #Ma-me-mo, a signature mint dressed salad of marinated muskmelons and watermelons with feta cheese served in a martini glass. Wanna remain low key yet be a #GameChanger? Then try their zesty vinaigrette based plump jowar salad. It is good and healthy. We’ll make this an easy decision: Do you like Eggplant? If yes, order the #EggplantRoll-ups. Never tried them? These are a great way to start. The labneh in this is creamy, minty and studded with walnuts and is best enjoyed with the refreshing in-house mocktail. If you’re in a group and in the mood to share, the #TandoorPlatter served with all the tandoor items on their menu will be plentiful. Right from succulent pieces of Paneer Tikka to a veggie take on the classic Seekh, you have got everything in one single platter. The #MeatyMushroom burger is served with fries and mayonnaise. It doesn’t have meat, and you won’t need it. Of the mains, the #SunshineNoodles are staggeringly good only if you have it with the egg wraps. The #KoomuCurry here is another decent bet. The recipe is inspired from Coorg and has mushrooms, grated coconut, and caramelized onions. The curry is low on carbs and high on vitamins, fiber and pairs well with laced appams. The star performer award must go to #MasalaMac & #CheeseGratin. A desi take on all American Mac & Cheese where Macaroni could be seen swimming in spicy parmesan cheese tucked under a crispy golden crust. Don’t rush, one of the bloggers burned her tongue as this dish is served flaming hot but is worth the wait. Do save space for the sinful Motichoor Cheesecake or deconstructed dessert – Good Ol’ American – where each element endows separate flavors to the over experience. Concerns/Improvements Everyone has got a different palate and you might find some of the dishes to be dry or bland. If you are a hardcore non-vegetarian then you need to pick your dish carefully. The second floor has got many small rooms which are good for privacy but might prove challenging when searching for the staff. The service is observed to be sloppy at times. VERDICT This is one of those restaurants that make a beautiful dish out of local favorite - Bakarwadi. From its vibrant environs to the simple decor, and from its rooftop seating to the delicious Tandoor selection, dining at Karlo is a complete wowzer. __ Landmark: Behind Reshma Pav Bhurji Center (famous for Egg Mughlai) on Karve Road.

Simply amazing pocket friendly and good place for couples 🥰to have a evening cup of coffee together while painting futures dream with each other . Food quality is also quite different and mouthwatering..🤤. Ambiance is too good.
Amogh Kulkarni
The place is amazing. You can hang with your friends for hours. Very peaceful environment. The food though is quite average. We had ordered Bella Pasta. And it was so damn oily. TBH it didn't taste like pasta. It tasted like some Chinese noodles. I would suggest order something else abd just enjoy the ambience.

Love this place! The ambience, food, service, everything is so prompt.
The bright yellow interiors and the seating just give a cozy and amazing vibe.
The bhakarwadi chat is so unique and delicious. It is a powerhouse of crunch and is quite filling.

The magic mushrooms are truly magical. Oozing cheese with that lovely hint of mustard.

The Lazeez paneer is so well-spiced and sumptuous, its a must try!

Overall, the food is pretty good and complements the vibrant interiors well.

Its just next to my house. I have mixed reviews of this place. As i have been here couple of times i had very different experiences.
Some were good some were average. The food is good. Service was bit slow. The menu is bit limited.
Hopefully now they must have changed as its been a long now i have visited the place.
As im a vegetarian i tried most of the things.. they all were good.

Location: karlo cafe , prabhat road
Price: a bit expensive but never mind cause of the ambience ---------------------------------------------------------------------
We had Ma-me-mo salad, Pom-pom juice and Dr.Apple mocktail which were great. It's very hygienic place and service is good. Though it's pure veg cafe , they have a fusion infused menu variety so I'm sure you'll take longer than usual while deciding the menu. We enjoyed our visit. As it was originally a bungalow, tables are small as they are placed in rooms. Unique decor, nice colors, small hanging lights. Overall a cosy and beautiful place for peaceful talks.

This is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever visited in pune. Pretty amazing ambience and people who work here are polite, will guide you though the menu.
About the good, well the names are pretty difficult to understand what you’ll get on table. Still it will taste good.
Minal Shingade
Nice place to have italian food.. Loved the bhakarwadi chat.. Apart from food i did not like the staff who were constantly checking when their customers leave the place.. Though the cafe was empty still they did not allow you to seat for extra time after paying the bill.

I absolutely loved this place. Starting from the decor, they have converted a small apartment into a cute cafe with lovely ambience.
We ordered Bakarwadi Millet Chaat. As the name suggests, it was everything a chaat must be- spicy, tangy, crunchy, and healthy.
The next order was Bianca, a creamy, rich and decadent cheesy pasta served with brocolli, corn and mushrooms. It was scrumptious.
Our last order included a dessert. It was something really unique. We ordered Motichoor Cheesecake. If cheesecake could get any better, then this is it. A classic sweet-tart cheesecake, loaded with crumbly motichoor boondi and a dusting of slivered pistachio. I just loved the it.
The staffs were very courteous. I loved the visit.
Bhoopali Nanadikar
One of my favourite places in the city.
This was the third time I was visiting this place and indeed food served was absolutely delicious all the three times . They have variety in their menu and also their menu is quite HATKE from other cafes.
First we ordered Noor-E-Tandoor flat bread . It was very delicious and extra butter based bread made it even tastier.
Then we ordered pesto pasta. It was just perfect mixture of pesto and cream and everything about it was just spot on.
We also ordered lemon ice tea and cheesy garlic bread. Garlic bread was very much tasty as it was covered with lots of cheese and ice tea was good.

We chose this place for a lunch once and were happy to see how cute the restaurant looks from outside. Yellow and blue/green complimenting each other and trees surrounding the bungalow. So, clearly it's a bungalow turned into a restaurant and that is the reason the tables are set into small small sections which could have been rooms in the bungalow. The soft lighting adds up to the romantic ambiance.

This is a pure vegetarian restaurant but like other veg restaurants, not all dishes have only paneer. There is tofu, mushrooms, veggies, etc to choose from.
1. Lazeez: So the first dish we ordered was paneer lazeez, which was a soft Tikka with yoghurt marination. This had a brilliant taste, very soft, perfectly cooked and marinated.

2. Sunshine noodles: for the mains, my friend ordered sunshine noodles. These were rice noodles with tofu and mushroom spiced with garlic. Although my friend liked the dish, I found it a bit bland.

3. Surprise: I ordered surprise which was a curry leaves flavored paneer curry served with a kulcha types paratha. I found the curry leaves flavor too overpowering which stopped one from enjoying the taste of the curry.

The service is a tiny bit slow, or maybe we came at a wrong time.

Great place.. Good ambience specially colour combination. Had visited for breakfast. Service was pretty good.
Just regret ordering water melon juice.
We visited this place at 6pm and it was a delight. Unique decor, bright colors , nice hanging lights , cute walkway. When we entered we were interested in sitting downstairs but they said it wasn't open, so we sat up.
We ordered an omlette with bread. It could have been better , but it filled us up. Service was good and it was fun.
Food is great.
Pasta is really tasty.
Everyone should must try desserts .
Their serving skills are really impressive.
You can even opt for visiting this place alone .
Great restaurant. The property in which the restaurant is located is huge and well maintained. The ambience is welcoming and so is the staff. Their spaghettis are delicious and worth trying if you love Italian food. The staff is friendly as well as quick. Do visit this once.

If you are a fan of Continental & Italian food, this might be a good place for you. I found the staff to be quite polite and quite prompt to accommodate your requests. Had La Roja, Masala Mac & Cheese Gratin, Bianca & Tandoor Platter. If you've a palette that appreciates Tandoori food, you're going to like this platter. And I enjoyed it quite much. I like La Roja & Bianca. What I found a little off was Sunshine Noodles. And yes, Mighty Ramen Bowl was just okay. I was happy with the Platter which included Paneer Tikka, Lazeez, Kissa Tikki ka, Latpate Aloo. Also had Ice Tea & Blush, as we all know it's getting hotter day by day. And while my friends ordered coffee, I settled on these refreshing drinks. I would totally recommend it.

Paneer lazeez and motichoor cheesecake are the two reasons i will visit this place again...chakhana chaat was slightly disappointing... Courteous and well trained staff...

The food was amazing! We ordered house fries which were very crispy and tasty. Fresh juices of watermellon was 100% fresh after added sugar 😀. Orange juice was major let down as it was too sour even after adding tons of sugar. They should have told us before hand that orange juice is too sour.
After the side dishes we ordered the cocktail which was really amazing but too less in quantity of compared with price. It will as just 100 ML juice plus vodka for 400 rs not worth at all. Please DO not order cocktails here go for beers on offer instead.
In main course we ordered Kukum curry which was supposed to be Coorg speciality and we liked it a lot. It had distinct flavour of turmeric and was made in creamy paste of onion. Over all I will rate it 4 on 5 star scale. The last was cheese garlic bread nothing special but may be since we were full already we did not like it much. Over all considering the service, they forgot our order twice we liked the food quality but not the quantity. May be Koregaon park can justify it but not Karve Road !
Renuka Sathaye
Okay food, not that great...good ambiance
Perfect place if drinks are on the mind and you do not mind not having spicy chakna options along

We started with So Baked salad, it was good, but if the chana would have been made spicy or tangy it would have tasted better. The black peppered cauliflower and broccolli were good.
Then we tried Co(R)n Artist, too creamy, the baby corn was well cooked but all i could taste from the dish was cream
The white sauce paste was well cooked but lacked taste
Last the paneer tikka was soft, well cooked, but an addon spice would have been good the dish

The portions are okay, though I found them small as per the pricing.

I have been wanting to visit this place since long as it falls on my route to office and everytime I pass, it entices me merely because of its vibrantly painted walls. So, this place is a bungalow converted into a cafe. The seating arrangement is divided into two parts and we opted for outer seating. Me and my partner were here for breakfast and ordered for a coffee, egg kejriwal and akuri (both being egg dishes). Coffee was good and so was egg kejriwal, it had a nice cheezy, bit spicy taste and we both loved it. Akuri tasted no different than scrambled eggs but the multi grain bread that came with it was so good, I was binging on it more than the egg :D
That's all we had but wish too visit again for lunch or dinner next time, so that we can try more items, of which I have heard great reviews.

We went there at 11:20am and were told that 'no food is available' because "breakfast ends at 11am and lunch starts at 12". When I asked about "all day dining menu", i was (politely) informed that "all day dining starts at 3pm". This happened on a Sunday of all days! Their menu looked great - on paper. Water was cold. Staff was polite in informing about non availability of food. Overall, great place when you dont want any food.

The food here is good. Little overpriced. They take a lot of time to serve you with the order when at the restaurant. Sad thing is they always open to order. But whenever you place an order they always decline. It has happened for the 5th time now. And they always decline after 20 mins or so when the delivery person reaches the restaurant which is really frustrating.

So finally we got a chance to visit this cute cafe located on the busy streets of FC road.
The whole vibe of the cafe was summer like. The yellow walls, green coloured doors and windows looked pretty. The greenery around the cafe creates a positive atmosphere to hangout and chill with your buddies.

Coming to the food, we ordered :
1. House Fries - It was well fried and oil-free with salt sprinkled on it served with a peach coloured buttery sauce. The combination was good.

2. Bakarwadi Millet Chaat : Now this was something different. It tasted like any other chaat but the crunch of bakarwadi and tangyness of tomatoes made it stand out. Must try if you're a chaat lover.

3. Motichoor cheesecake : The Showstopper without any doubt. It was beautiful inside out ❤
The crunchy base and thick crust topped with motichoor boondi was a perfect combination.
It was not too sweet and just melts in your mouth.
Must must try if you're here.

The presentation of every dish was on point.
I have been wanting to try this place since a while! Finally I was able to pay a visit this cozy cafe today. The thing that struck me most is the fusion infused menu variety. You take longer than usual to read it before deciding what to order! My order was not much: A tandoor flatbread and an aglio olio with unique south indian spices both fusion preparations were made to perfection! The drink was great too!

PS: Visited again and has an awesome time!

I loved the ambience of the hotel very much. Some of the food options were different and worth trying. However i did not like the flat breads. There is a scope to improve the service as well. Staff was not able to explain the dishes.
I visited this place last week. The food quality and preparations are excellent. So based upon earlier experience i visited this place today. The food quality is really good and different than most of the restaurants around. It's a really good combinations and must visit place for all foodies.

I was recommended by a friend to dine at this place rather draged, and I was amazed to see the live music playing and such lovely place to go in the city certre. Good is good too, the taste is authantic, vegetarians get wide options and a perft place to be if u want to enjoy some nice evening with great food and alcohol.

I only have one feedback to share the service is so bad that I wanted to get up and leave at one point, while paying the bill when I asked for a manger I was told he hardly comes to this place. I want to ask owners do I believe this that your restaurant manager is not at restaurant? I will be more than happy to share genuine feedback if you guys are willing to call and check.

The atmosphere of the place is very nice, done with a lot of taste. Unfortunately, the food we tried was below average. We ordered eggplant roll ups tapa and pop goes my heart. Eggplant was extremely spicy and we returned it back and ravioli was just deep fried with besan and had no good taste to it. For mains we ordered Rom-ance, the base of it was too crunchy and sweet. Last was Bella pasta which was decent but too oily, whereas we were told it will be dry. Apart from food the service is also okay, they did goofups in the bill, got someone else's pasta to our table.
We loved the ambience and the place but if we go next time maybe we will try Indian food.
Swapna Jog
Ambience is amazing I must say. They have pretty different combination of Indian and western cuisine. We ordered mocktails they were amazing. Splash was watermelon based and Pom Pom was amazing too. Also ordered chettinad mushroom pintxos which was good too and different. Also ordered mighty ramen bowl which was healthy and great .
Manasi
It is located in center of the city. Very spacious cafe. Nice ambience. No laud music. Food is good but quite expensive and quantity is also not too large. Cheese garlic bread was really tasty. I would give following ratings Food 3/5, Service 2/5, ambience 3/5

Karlo Art kitchen & Cafe is an house/bungalow converted aesthetically in a restaurant situated on prabhat road. Nice Ambience. The yellow color is vibrant and the restaurant looks fresh. It has 2 seating areas - outside and inside.
We chose to sit outside as we had gone in the evening, the weather was nice. Food is fusion food and tasted nice.

We had ordered the following things -
1) Noor e tandoor flatbread - Nice bread, good amount of toppings. Loved it.

2) Bakarwadi Millet Chaat- Chaat with a twist. It was liked by the people on the table. Crunchy tangy flavourful.

3) Pesto Penne Pasta - Perfect Pesto flavour with correctly cooked pasta.

4) Cho-Ro-Sa- It was like a Chocolate mousse with a bit of rosemary flavour. It was my Favourite from the meal. Beautiful presentation and sinful taste.

5) Hot chocolate and Filter coffee - Good taste as expected.

You want a sophisticated and elegant experience of a breakfast? Karlo Art Kitchen is the place to be! The decor is simple yet exquisite. Loved how they've converted the house into something so beautiful. The ambience is lovely and the setting is admirable. The food is a little pricey, but it is justified for the kind of place it aspires to be.

We started with filter coffees and hot chocolate. The coffee was refreshing. The chocolate could've been better, but never mind.

We then ordered La roja which was red pasta with great Indian style gravy. Loved the twist to it. Followed by it, we had there bhakarwadi chaat which was tangy and spicy.

We finished it off with home made Bailey's chocolate chip ice cream, which again was smooth and yummy. Couldn't take photos of food because we completely forgot in our conversations. But this place is not just for its food, it's more about it's ambience.

All in all, a great place to visit for a Sunday brunch!

As a quaint neighborhood from the 80s, Prabhat road has changed a lot as of today. It is indeed nice to experience not just good food but a preserved old bungalow. Everything about the ambiance is colorful yet pleasing.
Came here for breakfast so this time it will be only akuri and toast. Great food.
Polite staff and a genuine effort towards hospitality. They walked me through the back alleys of the structure and the kitchen too!
Brilliant stuff. I shall visit again soon!

The place is situated in prabhat road and is quite nice. Ambiance was good, mocktails and starters were very good but was little disappointed with the main course. It is pocket friendly. Overall experience was good.

Aesthetic and pretty is the word that comes to your mind when you visit this cafe situated in Prabhat Road. Karlo Cafe has a nice and warm ambience and makes you feel good about spending time either sitting inside lovely sittings or under the moonlight with outdoor sitting as well.

Coming to the food, the place is quite economical and comes with different fusions of vegetarian and egg dishes, along with a wide variety of desserts 😄

We ordered the noor-e-tandoor flatbread and shaitani ande for dinner. The flat bread was perfectly made with toppings of panner, capsicum, onions and olives on a naan whereas the eggs in shaitani ande came stuffed with marinated mushroom and onions and topped with dried egg yellows to give it the wow factor.

We went for the all famous motichoor cheesecake which was worth the hype as its layer of motichoor blended really well with the below cheescake and it was a delightful sweet experience to have❤️

Place: 4/5
Food: 4/5
Price:4/5

Enjoy and follow @thecravingpandaa on instagram for more! 🐼
Such a cute ambience for all kinds of company. Plus the food menu is so diverse and specially the Cho-Ro-Sa had me craving for more even though my stomach gave up after such amazing food! Must recommended for people who don't want to travel far for an ambience and unique food plus pocket friendly too!

Review No : 196

Visited this place for Sunday evening. Got place easily as we usually take dinner early. The place
Had valet parking as it is impossible to park in the Kohinoor hall. (+1). We took the upper floor AC seating but honestly these are bungalow rooms converted to seating which for us it was kind of contained with average ambience.
Ordered starters with soup. Wedges, soup, paneer tikka, shaitsni ande, melting mushroom.
Being only veg (rather eggitarian) place options are still good. Tastewise it was decent overall.

Service & hygiene :3.5/5
Ambience :3/5
Taste : 3.5/5
VFM : 3.5/5

Overall :3.5/5

Karlo is located in a lane on Prabhat Road,a quaint bungalow turned into a restaurant. It offers multiple types of seating, open airy with lots of trees to inside seating with AC. It is a fusion food vegetarian restaurant, with a lot of hype. But I personally did not find the food worth it. We had,

1)Bakarwadi Millet Chaat : This concept was nice. The bakarwadi gave a very nice puneri twist to the classic chaat. I found it a bit dry and sour for my liking. 4/5

2) Melting Mushrooms : These were mushrooms stuffed with lot of mustard and topped with mozzarela. Liked it. 4/5

3)M&M Flatbread: This was similar to the melting mushrooms just on flatbread.Found the bread very hard. 3/5

4)Masala Mac and Cheese : This one was pretty disappointing. Found it very bland although it is supposed to be masaledar. 2/5

5) Motichoor Cheesecake. The cheesecake part is amazing. But i did not personally like the barfi sort of base. Even the motichoor topping was too sweet in comparison with the cheesecake and it tasted strongly of elaichi which i found too contrasting for my taste. 3/5

All in all, karlo is a good place for ambience to visit. Hopefully next time the other food will be better.
The place is nice

Pocket friendly

The starters were very good

In the main course we ordered red sauce pasta. It was awful, they need work on it

As the service, the taste, ambience was very good

Surely would like to visit the place to try new things .

Good variety of food and great taste!!! Loved the ambience as well! The service is good but can be better! We tried Tandoor platter and everything tasted awesome! Had Romance flatbread and Pasta! Everything was cooked to perfection and great presentation as well!

1) Value for money - 9/10 (I had visited Karlo's Art and Kitchen during their breakfast hours (8 am to 12 pm) on a Sunday morning! I had an amazing time with some of the best breakfast food with coffee. The place is really pretty and gives you a homely feeling.)

2) Food & Drinks - 9.5/10 (I had the following beverages and food:
1. Toast Mushroom Egg: Flat bread baked with cheese and sunny side up eggs on the top with mushrooms. This dish was very delicious and was cooked perfectly! A must try if you love mushrooms and sunny side up eggs.
2. Eggs in Purgatory: An Italian dish with poached eggs and spicy tomato sauce/purée served with nicely butter toasted flat breads. The tomato gives a tangy flavour to the dish and the eggs were cooked nicely.
3. Ragi Rawa Dosa: Rawa dosa which is made from ragi flour and is served with three kind (coconut, tomato & green) of chutneys. It is really soft and crispy and enough for one person.
4. Set Dosa: The regular set dosa which consists of three pieces and is again served with the three chutneys
5. Egg Kejriwal: A Bombay take on a cheese toast with sunny side up eggs which is topped with some amazing caramelized onions and green mint chutney.

6. Filter Coffee: A must have with a nice Sunday breakfast which was very good.

3) Atmosphere - 9.5/10 (The place has a very cozy and homely vibe with vibrant colours and some really cool wall art! They have both indoor seating area on the first floor and outdoor seating area.)

4) Service - 9/10 (The service is really good pretty fast. You can order the eggs in any other way you want specially if you don't prefer half fried eggs.)

5) Hygiene - 9/10

Overall rating - 9.2/10

I visited Karlo in the morning and tried several dishes from their new breakfast menu. The best part about all the dishes was that the freshness of the ingredients was very evident in the taste itself. All their breads are made in house! The menu has healthy but delicious dishes (both Indian and non-Indian). There are some great egg based dishes and you can specify how you like your eggs cooked. I tried the toast mushroom egg (super fresh mushrooms), eggs in purgatory (Italian dish, eggs in a spicy tomato sauce, my favourite egg dish here), eggs Kejriwal (an egg based dish that has street food like flavours with their chatpata green chutney, but presented in a sophisticated way). In the Indian dishes (non-egg) I had the set Dosa (super fluffy) and ragi Rawa Dosa (was the perfect amount of crunchy), both served with 3 types of chutney. I ended the meal with the perfect cup of filter coffee! The place is really calm and soothing in the morning and they have a spacious place. It's the perfect place to spend a lazy morning with some delicious breakfast!

After lot of back and forth of my thoughts, I decided to rate this place three stars.
This is and old house restored to a cafe. Visually everything is so beautiful that you would get excited to taste the food here.
The owner tried best to give it fresh makeover where it scores well. The place is really spacious making you feel comfortable. Unlike famous Vaishali, tables are not placed just to accommodate as manycustomers as possible which impressed me. But is that all we want? Every corner every lane has 3-4 cafes. So where does karlo stands out? Except ambience and service, actually nowhere.

Let's talk about food. The management has really tried hard to offer something different rather unique on their menu. It looks nice on menu card but not on your platter. For example they have tried to give twist to famous delicacy of Indore, Makke/butte ka kees. Here they served nothing but boiled corn paste with topping of raw onion. Huge disappointment. Another interesting thing on chart was bakarwadi millet chat(attached photo)! All I could say was, "why"? It's a nice try I must say but I don't think Punekars would appreciate anything done to chitale's bakarwadi. Non Punekars may like it. A simple white sauce pasta was also not to the mark. Paneer tikka was just like you will get in your office canteen.
But there are some scoring items too like shaitani ande, sunshine noodles (little less sugar next time please). Mocktails rather beverages are really good and better than most of the places I have been so far to. Desserts... try anarkali.
Best thing about karlo is high quality material (I felt so) used for cooking.

So my final verdict is it is an average place just like most other cafes but with better ambience, and funky menu (to read). It is not a must try but chosen wisely, it won't disappoint you either.

A bungalow converted into a simple, elegant restaurant setting.
The Menu, cowboy bar style doors, wooden and steel seating, gives a fresh feel to the place.
The food tasted good.
Service was good too.
The one thing I observed, was that the Menu card mentions that an additional 5% of Service 'Tax' will be levied, when in reality, it is a Service 'Charge'. Service tax is now replaced by GST.
Overall, a place for both family and friends.

The first thing you notice here is the ambience. It's soothing and relaxing.
Reservation is recommended on weekends as it might get busy.

We ordered:

1) Garlic Bread: Nice. The flavour was there and nothing overpowering.
2) Magic Mushrooms: The mushrooms are good but the mustard sauce is too strong. Would've loved a bit of subtlety there.
3) Masala Mac and Cheese Gratin: Amazing dish! Just perfect Mac and cheese. The best one we had.
4) Bianca in Penne: A decent white sauce pasta but nothing great about it.
5) Cho-Ro-Sa: The mousse is extremely smooth and flavourful. The texture of the dish is amazing.
6) Anarkali: Had heard quite a lot about this dessert. The aesthetic appeal is there for sure but felt the flavour of cardamom a bit too strong that it suppressed the other flavours in the dish. The pistachio mousse is great though.

Overall: A decent place to fine dine for a quiet weekend lunch or dinner.

Food: 4/5
Service: 3.5/5
Ambience: 5/5
Overall: 4/5

If you want to chill with friends without any disturbance of music and crowd in mid city, it is best for them, restaurant is known for fancy delicious food. Alcohol is served at regular price. Music is soft. Staff is friendly. Underrated place in Deccan area.

A beautiful place to have your morning breakfast or lunch in deccan, a wada turned into a piece of art which serves world cuisine with an indian twist. Tried the thalipeeth waffle which was amazing and the adai pancakes which are superpacked with nutrients and the chutney's they serve with it are yum as well. They also bake their own breads which they use for all the dishes. The eggs kejriwal is a must try here. Overall a very good place to visit with your family or friends.

Went for lunch after playing holi colours, It was very less crowded that day and hence service was quiet good and quick.

We were 8 and everyone ordered different dish, I must say all were very well made.

In Soups we had Chewy corn and Creamy Pumpkin, Chewy corn was like normal corn soup, Pumpkin was really well prepared.

In Tapas category we had Shaitani Ande which was bit sweet and Melting mushroom which came with mustard dip.

In Tandoor we had Lazeez which is somewhat like Paneer tikka but with a different taste.

In Flat bread we had Ro-mance, which is thin crust pizza but taste was unique.

Pesto pasta was only the one which was not up to the mark.

Other items like heart throb burger and Sunshine noodles which is mix of noodles, omelette, Paneer and sprouts were also unique in taste.

For main course we had "Surprise" with laccha paratha option, I won't recommend it because when you have chance to try different varieties why go for something which is kind of avaible everywhere.

To sum up, We really enjoyed the food and the ambience.

I would always recommend for those who want to try something different instead of regular Roti-Sabji, Dal- chawal.

What we had:

Egg Kejriwal: It was well made with perfect amount of green chutney and crispy onions. Bread was also nice and crisp.

Akuri: Scrambled Eggs with onions and tomatoes tasted very well with some tomato ketchup and multigrain bread toasted with butter.

Heart-Throb: It was a decent sandwich with nice patty, green chutney and greens.

Food Rating: 3.5/5

Service:

Service was nice and staff were very decent. Parking space is available in the lane of the restaurant which is an added advantage. Average serving time is around 20-25 mins which is a bit more.

Service Rating: 3/5

Ambience:

Nice and decent ambience with indoor as well as outdoor seating. Ambience is nice with walls nicely decorated. Perfect transformation from a bungalow to all day dine restaurant.

Ambience Rating: 4/5

Value for Money: 3/5

Really nice ambience but in eve in summer it's really unbearable to sit outside without fan. Food wise new items like Bakarwadi millet chat, Ambe-Daal Falafel were tasty. Yellow Submarine (egg omlet sub) was good. Palak Paneer with roti was named as Lush and was okish.
The most disappointing were the cocktail/ mocktails. In Honey I drank bruschetta basil flavour was overpowering all other contents. Other mocktail (don't remember the exact name something called revival) was also not that great
Overall OK experience.

Very nice and cool place to hang out ... Quite unique menu and food quality is good !!! Service can be improved as it took lot of time to serve our order, esp when we were there for bfast and it was not crowded at all ... Apart from this, overall experience was good and it is definitely a place to spend time with friends / family ... And such a place in the heart of Prabhat road is quite a welcome change !!!
Last week #IWasInvited to Karlo Art Kitchen& Cafe on Prabhat road (next to kohinoor mangal karyalay) for a tasting of their breakfast menu.

SHORT VERSION:

Go for the peaceful ambience, the yummy smoothies and a healthy post workout breakfast.
If you're health conscious try the Thalipeeth Waffles or Power Adai - protein-packed spicy pancakes.
And if you like eggs you should go for Eggs in purgatory which was my favourite and finish off with a smoothie. Try the Green Goddess smoothie - spinach, mint, apple and pineapple. Sounded gross to me but tasted brilliant.

LONG VERSION:
Karlo Art Kitchen is a beautiful bungalow modified into a café. You wouldn't know it at first but it can seat upto over a 100 people if you count the upstairs sections.

The ambience is quaint and very pleasant and when it came to the breakfast spread we got to know that many of the indian items had a european twist of sorts.

Power Adai was basically spicy pancakes prepared with four lentils - an amazing protein-packed choice for vegetarians.

Socca- Italy inspired chickpea pancakes with sauteed mushrooms, corn and spinach and peas.

Thalipeeth waffles - they look like waffles but the batter used was definitely thalipeeth batter. And it WILL remind you of mom-made breakfast.

One of the egg dishes to go for is the Eggs Kejriwal which was first introduced by a guy called Kejriwal in Mumbai - imagine toast, grated cheese, green chillies and fried egg topped with some mint chutney!

But my favourite were the Eggs in Purgatory - this is a European dish wherein purgatory probably refers to the bubbling red tomato sauce in which eggs are poached. It was super yummy. And seemed to miraculously cure a hangover for someone at our table.

The herby cream cheese scrambled eggs were also amazing - the chef there told us the trick to making scrambled eggs stay moist is to just take it off the griddle a while before you feel its fully cooked.

I also tried the Pesarattu crepes (An andhra-european fusion dish) which you can have either with eggs, sunny side up or a mildly spiced paneer filling. And the ragi rawa dosa which was served with a trio of chutneys.

And don't forget to try their smoothies especially the Green Goddess.
They serve lunch, dinner and drinks too but this place is a must try for the breakfast spread.
I'd rate it a solid 4.5/5

All the smoothies we tried were nice and tasty.

Wake up smoothie - Coffee + oats + Nutella = liquid breakfast!

Green goddess - spinach + mint + pineapple + apple = super healthy and a good energizer

Oreo milkshake and Blush are their regular milkshakes but we loved the two smoothies mentioned above the most!

Breakfast - (They bake their own bread)

Herby cream cheese scrambled eggs -
The best amongst all. I'm a scrambled egg lover and this dish comes with creamy rich flavours so it was a win win!

T.M.E. (Toast Mushroom Egg) - my second favourite, mushrooms on a toast topped with egg, sunny side up! Yummy goodness!

Eggs in purgatory - An Italian dish, eggs poached in tangy sweet n spicy tomato sauce sprinkled with parsley! A must have for sure if you're looking for a tangy treat!

Eggs Kejriwal - Toast topped with melting cheese, spicy green chillies and fried egg! With a unique name, this dish is surely worth a try! You can ask the chef for the name origin backstory!

Socca - Italian pancakes with chickpea flour served with sauteed mushrooms, corns and greens! The dip which comes with this dish is simply amazing!

Thalipeeth waffles - The old and gold recipe of every Marathi household! Here it has taken a new avatar, comes in a form of waffles! Took me straight to my Ajji and her secret recipe for an amazing Thalipeeth! Go for this!

Power adai - made with four lentils, these spicy pancakes are good for your health and your morning hungers!

Pesarattu crepes - Andhra style breakfast, green moong dal crepes with caramelized onions! A power packed healthy intake!

They've really done a great job on the side chutneys and dips! Totally tasty!
Karlo has a very spacious and homely ambience. They've converted an old bungalow into a restaurant and they've utilised the space so well! They have outdoor seating and indoor seating which is upstairs. This can be considered as a good and quiet working space as well! Located in a quiet lane off Karve road, Karlo is the best place to relax and hog onto healthy food!

Karlo was in my wish list since a longtime finally managed to visit the place. Somehow managed 2 park n get get in on a hot afternoon. After heading upstairs trying 2 find a table in AC section the waiter denied saying this section is closed then v had 2 head down, after sitting the waiter said if there are 2 people u need 2 sit upstairs as downstairs is for more than 2 which we replied v r not moving from this place if u want 2 serve, serve or v leave.
For starters So Seekh- okish not bad not great
Penne Barboreska - bad, nobody could dare 2 finish even after being hungry
Egg Xtra- generic
Show me the curry- nothing 2 comment
Both the mains had 1roti wid each
After that v ordered 3 rotis which later on other waiter came n said it won't b available as they have put coal in the bhatti. Bill comes n v r charged for things v din't get v cdnt even fill our stomach as there were some kitchen issues. V ask him 2 call the guy who took the order 2 which he says he has left, then v ask 4 manager 2 which he replies he's not 2 b seen, finally v ask 4 the owner 2 which he says he's new joineee so he doesn't know.
I mean WTF...
Seriously I avoid giving negative reviewed but this is 2 much 2 take & on to of that service charge...

All time favorite ambience. I chose sitting upstairs. Very impressed by the use of space done. Staff is well knowledged. Mr.Gauranga was aware of all the dishes and explained and encouraged us to try best dishes for the evening. He recommends for the new dishes. Great going! Thanks that was a great evening with my friend @sophia

In my 5 years in Pune, my experience at Karlo has been the worst that I have had at any cafe in Pune.
The cafe has such an extremely unprofessional modus operandi.
We we're two people and we just ordered two breakfast items and a smoothie and yet there was no food served to us for 45 minutes. Even a smoothie took 40 minutes.
The restaurant staff had the super lame reason for the delay that they were hosting a blogger's meet. So all the food was given to them on priority.
Secondly, a big group of other guests were given their food on priority just because they were friends of the owners.
I seriously condemn such unethical, unprofessional behavior by this cafe. If you cannot Respect someone's invaluable time then kindly don't run a cafe.
It is in extreme bad taste how the cafe would prioritize their friends and PR bloggers and completely ignore normal people like us who have come there to eat food. Never ever going to this place again. Extremely disappointed.

Good place. Love the food. Will surely recommend to Veg lovers. They have an awesome ambience! The service is also pretty fast. Desi Detox kebabs were my favourite!

We wanted to have girls night out and chose this place. Sadly we didn't realize that this place does NOT serve non vegetarian food, except eggs because it's not mentioned in their zomato profile. This is kind of silly, but since we were already there, didn't want to waste more time and so decided to stay for dinner.

Red wine sangria: too sweet, too sugary. Fruits are not properly muddled and there is too much sugar. Skip it.

Melting mushrooms: although the mushrooms were cooked beautifully, the sauce was a bit too salty for us. Still it was edible.

Rome-ance: it's a naanza. It was decent. Nothing exceptional.

SOME PAKORAS: don't ask me the name, but we had two kinds of pakoras and they were dry. Roadside pakoras are much better.

Cho-ro-sa: this is supposed to be dark chocolate but it was so sugary that if you are a dark chocolate fanatic, you would probably never touch it. It's nothing like the description, and it's just another sweet chocolate dessert. I would skip it.

You know what? I would skip this place entirely because even though the ambience was not bad, the food doesn't do justice to the ratings they have on zomato which I am sure must be paid for. Not going back.

The ambiance is beautiful but food was not as per my expectations. We ordered

Creamy Pumpkin:- Soup was tasteless.

Melting mashrooms:- Did not like the flavour combination

Shaitani Aande:- This dish was horrible. Flavour of egg filling was not at all tasty.

Lazeez Paneer:- Loaded with cheese. Taste was better than other dishes but not as per expectation.

Lemon iced tea:- Too much sour.

Anda Kari:- Curry flavour was not at all good. Laccha Paratha was too oily.

Bianca:- White pasta dish was loaded with garlic..

Need a lot of improvements in food quality..

Amazing ambience. Comfortable seats. Service is good. I had to have a quick breakfast so went here. I was not disappointed with the simple treat. I ordered socca and it was deliciously soothing. Beer is necessary for wetting our throat. The food is good. All in all a very happy experience.

Happened to visit this place last week. The first glance , ambience itself assures you its different ...The variety of dishes on menu card(except eggs, no non veg served here)wth catchy names makes choice difficult ..But the polite, helpful staff explain us the dish to make our choice easy.
Bar menu is also appealing..a very few restaurants in city are veg restaurants with a bar..i rate Karlos as one of the best.
The presentation of dishes v attractive, taste equaly good & quantitatively sufficient ..
I wd def recommend Karlos who want a quiet venue away from shor sharaba & mouthwatering dishes ...

Karlo Art Kitchen has always been one of the places I've always wanted to visit since it opened. It runs on the concept of locally sourced ingredients that are healthy and fresh ; and combining simple ingredients with great preparation to make amazing dishes.

We were called in to taste the breakfast menu at Karlo , and let's just start with their bread. Thick pieces of fresh buttered bread made in house which had that crunch when you bite in , that you know what good quality bread that is. And that's something which already sets the bar high for the place.

We started with the Eggs In Purgatory, perfectly poached eggs in a pulpy tomato sauce. The flavors were perfectly balanced and was not over tomatoey or tangy, with an hint of oregano and gave you that perfect Italian breakfast feeling.

The next thing I tried was the Toast Mushroom Egg(TME), cheese crusted toast with fried eggs on top on a bed of sauteed mushrooms, nothing fancy and exactly as it sounds, yet tasted so good just cause the freshness of the entire meal.

After that was the Eggs Kejriwal , has nothing to do with the politician , but was invented by a guy named Kejriwal from Bombay. This cheesy toast with a fried egg on top has distinct Bombay flavours , with it's hint of mint chutney and tangy caramalized onions.

We tried the Ragi Rava Dosa , which tasted like thaalipeeth and The Sponge Dosa, made to perfection and served with a trio of chutneys.

Last dish was the Pesarattu Crepe, this was a moong dal crepe filled with caramalized onions and egg. This is an Andhra staple. This was a healthy dish that tasted really good !!

Infact everything over here was healthy, fresh , tasted really good and value for money too, and is definitely a place where I'd be coming in for breakfast again.

Ambience wise this place is a cute bungalow , with the rooms converted into localized sitting places that gives it a really cozy feel. Karlo also has a sit out area to hang out and chill .

The ambiance was pretty good, it’s a beautiful setting with marvellous lighting perfect for a date or small gathering but the waiters were really clueless and the food was average, it’s a perfect evening hangout place.

Couldn't find any option for giving it a 1.5*.... Ambience is lovely but very much disappointed with the food especially with the quantity... This place needs a lot of improvement.. Service is very slow as well #TheFoodieTraveler

Let me start by saying the food was so good that I forgot to take pictures! We ordered the Magic Mushrooms (which was some serious melt-in-your-mouth goodness, and I use this phrase extremely sparingly, so take my word for it), the Rome-ance flatbread (delish!) and the Coastal Reverie mocktail (I was driving, but the cocktails looked wonderful, too). I love how innovative the menu is, and that it has so many vegan options. I personally am a meat-eater, but I didn't miss it during this meal.

The ambience was lovely, too -- it's tucked away in this quiet lane, with lots of shade from trees in the daytime, I assume. We were there at night, and it had soft, golden (read: Instagram-friendly) lighting, and valet parking, which is always a bonus in my books. The service was great, and overall I had a perfect evening.

I'll definitely be going back :D

Absolutely loved their ambience. The yellow coloured walls looked so appealing.
We tried sev tamatar bruschetta which was okayish (wish it was better).
La Roja spaghetti pasta and Rome-ance flatbread were amazing. Fresh lime soda was a perfect combination with food for lunch!
And the service was really fast. This place is a must visit when around Deccan.

I quite liked the food and ambience though it didn't live up to the expectations which you get from reading menus and cool outlet. I liked concept of cafe in an Heritage House. Quantity is quite less too.

One of the most innovative vegetarian dishes i have ever tried! Amazing food! Loved the bella pasta! Loved the mac n cheese with a twist! The subtle Indianness in every recipe is unique! 😍
Fabulous menu spread. Excellent taste. Nice ambience. Good service. The starters are something different than those regular ones at other restaurants. The ambience is nicely made from an old bunglow....but sometimes the traffic noise disturbs.

A nice colorful place with cozy set up. Not a big fan of veg food but liked the food here. Eggplant rolls were amazing. Love the ambiance. A good place to sit and chat. Service is good and very helpful staff. In the balcony area, leaves of trees were falling in the food so they should do something about that rest all experience was enjoyable
Melting mushroom tapas was amazing
Magic mushrooms were also good

I have loved this place. As a Mumbaikar I've seen very few places in Pune that have stumped me. Karlo is one of the best places I've visited with family. Amazing range of Veg food. The ambience in the evening is to die for. I will 1000% recommend this place for every foodie.

It was a Dinnerdate. I was uncertain about the place until I saw it. Brilliant ambience , excellent food , good service and budget friendly. What else does one need ? I'd suggest the Spaghetti Pesto Pasta and Peach Ice Tea. Even the Flatbread Noor-e-tandoor was good. All in all a place worth trying !

Ambience - Very pretty and colourful. Relaxed and natural atmosphere.

Food - Alfredo pasta : Great quantity and taste. The sauce was made perfect. Only thing if you want to add veggies, you pay extra. It's a veg restaurant so it should be inclusive in the dish.
Mushroom burger : A great choice for vegetarians. You'll love it. Served with fries and mayo. It's yummy.

Value for money - I don't think vegetarian dishes should be priced at non-veg prices.
Burger - 250 (non-veg burger price)
Pasta without veggies - 300+ (non-veg with veggies price)
