Review Le Bouche D'or - Pune

Mayur Shinde
Wanted to spend relaxing time with spouse for Brunch! Searched and found this gem on internet, and it was totally worth it to visit here! My long search of authentic Croissants is finished and enjoyed a very good meal on my Anniversary day! In Pictures are Cheese Croissant, Chocolate Croissant, Croque Monsieur Chicken + Side Salad along with Coffee. Service of the staff is also friendly and good.

Nice place for a cup of coffee and cinnamon bun. Enjoyed their brownie too

I have come to this french styled bakery for many years. I seriously love what they bake here. The almond croissant đŸ„ is usually what I pick. Macarons, quiches and baguettes everything is of high standard and delicious. In pictures (raspberry macaron with espresso, passionfruit macaron with americano)

Their baguette is the best you can get in Pune! The cafe sitting area is inside a mall and is not very cozy or nice. But as a bakery to pick up baked goods it's really really good

Best cakes and a very warm owner. Rupa is a pleasant soul to be around. My bestie surprised me with a cake from La BouchĂ©e d’or and everyone at home loved it. Best ingredients, balanced sweetness, made with love
everything was just perfect about this cake. Simply loved it!!! can’t wait to try more from the patisserie.

After searching for a lot of options, I ordered croissants from here. Both the butter and the pain au chocolate ones. Unfortunately when u received them they are normal temperature and not hot/warm anymore. Nevertheless they still smelled delicious and tasted amazing. I liked the butter one more, as the chocolate one was a bit on the dry side. That being said the croissants did remind me of my days at Europe 🌍

Food and service was great. The atmosphere was not great.
Irene Holt
Authentic French style breads and pastries. Good coffee and sandwiches too!
Vivek Pungle
This place is more expensive than your average (reasonably good) bakery. And it is pricey for a reason. The pastries and baked goods are excellent to say the least. Their croissant is as close to the original french pastry as you'll get in India without having to pay an arm and a leg. I hope you enjoyed the food from here as much as I did.

Always a good place to have breakfast 💜

The croissants at this place is beyond this universe, they are so good. The sandwich and salads were alright but croissants and coffee are reason you should be there. Secondly the sitting arrangement : it's in the ground floor of a commercial building with offices and is visible from every office corridor. This made me uncomfortable for a while but then somehow you forget about all that and you feel cozy and right at home. God know how they achieved it, kuddos to that.

Unbelievably great! I lived in Pune for three years and their breads and croissants were a Godsend. Better than anything I've had in the US or France. I'd go all the way back to Pune from Detroit just for their almond croissants. The earlier in the day, the better. You won't be disappointed.
Kunal Sawardekar
This is the place to go if you ever feel a craving for well-made French pastry or croissant. The food is expensive, but very well made. I recommend any of the croissants, anything from their selection of tarts, and (if they have it) the rhubarb crumble, which is the best thing I've had here.
GAURAV SHARMA
Amazing place for those who want authentic traditional french bakery and pastry. A bit expensive, all items are hand made. Egg less options available on limited items. Far away from city crowd and noise, home delivery options available. Bookings and reservations can be made over phone calls.

La Bouchee d'Or is a place I visit every time with a sense of fulfillment. Laid back atmosphere feels like part restaurant, part garden and gives me enough space to sit done and enjoy food. The quality and taste of food is Delicious and the macaroons here are not to be missed at all when in Pune. I visit from time to time with friends and spend a great time here.
Saquib Qureshi
Love this place for the amazing croissants they serve. Be it sweet or savory! Also the mocha served here is to dies for. A must have for sure.

One of the best outlets for niche bakery n confectionery products. Best Breads, Quiche n Macaroons are available here.

Small cozy cafe with some tables kept in the outside area for the guests. Very peaceful.

Kudos to u guys for serving par excellence stuff in Pune. Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality.
Lovina Bhagchandani
Absolutely love the macaroons and the passion fruit eclairs.
Their ham and cheese rolls make for a great lunch and not to forget their perfect baguettes!!

If you are looking for French desserts in Pune, trust me you cannot go wrong with this one. After tasting one-after-another heavy and dense ones, my search for a light, puffy, worth eating croissant in Pune ended here. So much so that we ordered a second round. Other than the croissants, we ordered an Alpes Quiche. Served with a side of fresh salad, it was equally delightful. Overall this is a must visit place, if you are craving French pasty.
The bakery-cafe is situated in a complex in the area and is a little bit difficult to find with just a small board to guide you. Visit on an early Sunday morning, and you just might have the whole seating area to yourselves.
Ruchi Manglunia
A quiet little peaceful place to visit with some really good food, great ambiance and friendly staff. The quality of the food is exceptional. There is a richness in the flavours and a sort of satisfaction which matches the looks, something really hard to find with food nowadays!
Rachita Sanjay Dhere
La Bouchee d'or serves the best Opera cake in town. The ambience is really pleasant and calm. They also serve freshly baked breads and croissants. The staff here is very polite and guide you in selecting their best dishes. Must try this place for their coffee and chocolate Macroons as well ❀
Dharminder Singh Kaleka
Wonderful place with an amazing staff. Good food and value for money. The salads are wonderful. Would be great to see a more proper seating area along with the bakery to give it a proper french cafe environment.
Sylvan DSouza
Fantastic treats for someone with a sweet tooth, the macrons are a must have, I personally love the peach tea and ham sandwiches. It is a little pricey, but I think overall its worth it.

A cute little PĂątisserie tucked away on Boat Club Road. The decor is lovely and the peaceful vibe you get here is amazing. A great place to relax and chat with your friends for those lazy afternoons.

I had the Spinach and Goat's Cheese Quiche and it blew me away. But sadly that is the only thing I could taste as everything else on their menu has eggs in it. The Mocha Milkshake was delicious. Would love it if they introduced eggless pastries and hot chocolate too.
Sam
The place looks and sounds great, but their croissants are terrible .. it was like eating rubber ! And I had a chocolate & plain croissant and both were equally bad in texture .. they either don't know how to bake croissants or they are selling stale croissants !
Dhruv Saxena
La bouche is home to some of the best bread in Pune. Love their baguettes. Always comes in handy for parties at home and whatever you use it for it's a hit.
Their baguette sandwiches are also amazing.
I think I'm just a sucker for baguettes.
Been visiting them for almost 3 years now I think, and never been disappointed. Kudos to the team at La Bouchee, you'll are becoming quite iconic in Pune.
Ayushi Khandelwal
I absolutely love their almond croissants . Never miss an opportunity to eat them when I'm visiting Pune or if someone is coming from Pune I make sure I get my croissant from them . I'm yet to find a place in Bangalore who makes croissants with this kind of perfection. Only sad part is I don't stay in Pune and wish La Boucher dor opens up in Bangalore soon .
Rudi
Incredible
Such a Quality of pastry and bakery you get nowhere else in Pune.
Yes: expensive but worth every single Rupee.
Recommendations are the Baguettes and Croissants.

Most wouldn't have noticed this quaint little place tucked inside Gera Plaza on Boat club road. But, it hits you with that smell of freshly baked bread the moment you get in through Gera Plaza , The dĂ©cor takes you straight to some aisle in France, just till you here someone shout from the neighbouring store 😂
Anyways coming to food ,I would caution you that they serve authentic French food so don't expect firecrackers of masala when you take a bite. They have great Baguette sandwiches and my regulars are Tomato and goat cheese or Ham, Tomato and Goat cheese , they are flavorful and balanced. Coming to a French patisserie you can't leave without a croissant so we ordered the classic Chocolate croissant and it was a treat for the tastebuds. I still had some chocolate craving but I was getting late so I picked up a Chocolate mousse cake to munch on the way and iam thankful I did cause it was just amazing, the mousse was of the right density and the chocolate in perfect proportion ,perfectly balanced .
They have a great menu, next time I plan to have their signature Crouque Monsieur will be exploring more soon
Priya
This is a lovely bakery situated in Bund Garden road. They have an open area outside and the moment you enter you are engulfed by the aura of the cafe. Being a French bakery, they have delicious croissants and breads. The chocolate mousse was outstanding with a thick slab of dark chocolate and moist cake. The macaroons were soft and delicious. They had a subtle flavour. I am going to visit this cafe again for sure.
Pulkit
Went there for the first time. Ordered Ice Coffee (Hazelnut & Caramel), and they were extremely costly sugar water. I don't know for what these people charge for. Bad Experience. My Advice : Avoid.

We were is love with the croissants we had during our visit to Prague. When I heard about La Bouchée d'Or serving delicious croissants, I just could not resist my temptation to visit the place.
We visited the Dhole Patil outlet at Gera plaza. We decided to eat on an almond croissant and chicken quiche. The European style sitting is in the center of the plaza with just a few tables.
The almond croissant comes a pretty good portion for a single person. The crispy flaky outer bites - before you reach the sweet buttery almond filled center, is an absolute treat. And once you reach the center, the rich almond , buttery sweet taste made my taste buds dance. The chicken quiche was taken just as a taste breaker but it too was at its best with a nice cheesy, eggy taste.
My daughter wanted an apple tart. Wow!! The glossy look and the perfect sweetness made us drool over it. Even after a full tummy we could not end it without plain mini butter croissants and a latte. This however were not a match to the ones we had in Prague, nor as good as the almond croissant here. But they were good compared to the other places here.
Other than these they also have different types of breads, cakes, quiches, tarts, sandwiches and salads.
Supriya
Located at Dp road near ruby hall, this place is quite difficult to spot as it is inside some commercial complex.
We ordered a chocolate tartlet which was not that good.. the ambience is nice. A bit over priced i thought
Sharmistha
It is our go to place for almost all our meetings or for a refreshment since it's right opposite our office!

One of the elite cafés of Pune with just the best of everything they offer :)

Must have: Green Apple Iced Mojito, Cafe Mocha (hot), macaroons, Chicken Quiche, Chocolate Almond Croissants
Kate Bharucha
I have been a loyal customer at La Bouchee d'Or for years now, and they have never ever let me down.
The ambiance is extremely pretty - a small, quiet, peaceful cafe with amazing interiors. The smell of freshly baked bread, brewed coffee and other goodies is heavenly.
The staff is ever so helpful and so so kind.
Now, over the years I have tried almost every product they have to offer, and most of them hit the spot.
But, I'm uploading pictures from my last visit there, which was two weeks ago.
I ordered -
1. Lorraine - A perfectly balanced quiche served with a yummy salad
2. Ham and cheese baguette sandwich - Honestly, this is my favourite. A huge portion, which can be a light snack for two.
3. Mint macaron and coffee macaron - Oh so beautiful! You've got to have them to believe them.
4. Mini Opera Cake - I got this complimentary, BUT, it was to die for.
5. Freshly baked breads - French Baguette, Whole wheat bread and multigrain bread are the ones I picked up. They're priced way higher than your ordinary bread, but they're worth every single penny.
All in all, I'm a happy customer and have always been.
From the ambiance to service to products, nothing has ever let me down.
Do give it a try, and you'll probably never have enough!!
Barefoot Living
Love their tiny lil Paris Brest!! It's the best thing I have had in Pune. Personally the croissant is a little too heavy for me but I understand that its all that expensive French butter they use. My choice for a quick authentic European food fix. Great place for a quiet coffee and dessert. Must visit.
ShraddhaB
Every time I am in pune, I make it a point to visit this place, it serves the best cakes I have ever tasted in my life. The cakes here are literally a piece of art.

A must must visit place ... I am so lucky to work in the same place as this must visit cafe.. The aroma of freshly baked breads and coffee early morning is such a welcoming feeling.. The staff is warm and always smiling.. The ambience of this place is cozy and the light music in the background is the perfect addition to your meal. Must try the almond croissants, Chocolate almond croissants and the almond buiscuits they have, also the open faced sandwhiches with salads are well made and extremely delicious. The grilled sandwhiches make a perfect meal with a lemon ice tea. The place is always brimming with people who enjoy a good coffee great food and warm smiles.

Look at the photo and tell me.. need I say more!!! Well I found out about this place when a colleague offered me an almond croissant.. And oh my god was it delicious. Finally I made it to this lovely bakery. Well for starters this little bakery is inside a commercial building.. which is a little quite and really nice seating area. The service was awesome and quick.. Sweet people behind the counter always smiling and ever ready to serve. For lunch I had order croquet monsieur which was just absolutely delicious. And again I say this.. Their croissants are absolutely mouth melting delicious. I totally loved it.

The staff is very nice and helping!! The place is easy to find! The sitting is outside in the lobby! Nicely decorated! The place is warm and welcoming!

Food : yes they have nice and tasty food! Everything that I had was fresh and tasty! Loved it!

Ambience 3/5
Service 4/5
Food 4/5

Awesome place. Must try - OPERA 5 layers of awesomeness simply melts in the mouth. Passion fruit and mint cupcake also amazing. Courteous and welcoming staff. Great service. Keep it up

Excellent boulangerie! Baguettes were fresh and inexpensive. Opera cake was delicious. Possibly one of the best bakeries in town. Must visit.
Priya
Quaint little place which serves delicious quiche (try the spinach & goats cheese), sandwiches, mini eclairs, macaroons, croissants and a variety of French pastries (try the Opera if you fancy coffee butter cream). A little on the pricey side but they use quality ingredients which is evident from the taste. An ideal place to sip on a coffee and reconnect with yourself.

One word for this place is excellent, nothing in Pune has been so good, everything I have eaten here have just melted off in my mouth.i love this place.

This was on my wish list since a long time!!
There was a 30 min. Waiting but I guess it was worth it !! Had their MACARONS, Chocolate MOKA & Iced Tea and loved it !
Their signature desert was also too good. The staff is really helpful & always welcoming!
It is amazing place to eat at!
Aseema Sulakhe
I ordered a cake(Raspberry Cheesecake) for my friend's bday and it was amazing! Freshly baked, appealing to the eyes, totally yum and the macaroon on top of it was exceptional!! Everybody Loved it!

La Bouchee d'Or ranks as one of my favourite places to grab something sweet...previously I've tasted their macarons and they're probably the best in the city albeit a tad pricier than it's competitors which, they claim, is a result of them importing high quality ingredients. This time i dropped by with some time on my hands so decided to eat-in a chocolate croissant..the croissant comes in a generous portion and even the first couple of bites that don't have any chocolate are an absolute pleasure because of the flaky buttery pastry. And when you finally get to the chocolate bit....BOOM!

I parceled a French Toast and a Mini Chocolate Almond Croissant, both of which were spot on. The French Toast had an earthy wholewheat base with almond paste and hints of citrus. The mini croissant is just perfect for one person because it's really decadent. In fact, the regular sized one is strictly for sharing else you'll be skipping the next meal.

Apart from these, they also have breads, tarts, cakes, a newly introduced lunch menu featuring a variety of sandwiches and a few salads that they'll be shortly adding on their menu.

This one's an absolute must, guys!

I'am a student coming from France and I 'am so happy to find a place like that in Pune that reminds me my beloved french breakfasts. Everything was really good and authentic it was just like if I eat a croissant or macarons in the bakery of my french city. Really enjoy it and the people who work there are also welcoming and professional. Had a good time here, thank you for providing me this food that I missed so much and trust me if you really want to taste french things come there.
Divyang
next place to my house and i loved it. Freshly baked breads are the Usp and the taste is very authentic french like. Baguette is the best in the town.
Croissants and all baked items are worth trying here.
Sneha Gokarn Maingi
Bad arrangement, bad coffee, bad croissant.
We went all the way from Hinjewadi to dp road just because we wanted to chill and eat at a nice patisserie, much to our disappointment, this place had indoor, outdoor like seating, stale tulees and hazelnut flavoured coffee which had a major content of water and sugar than coffee.
Don't be fooled by the ratings avoid this café
Suchita Agarwal
Absolutely in love with the bakery products ova here, Heaven. Right from tarts to croissants... The guy at the counter seems to be stubborn at times even being 10-15mins before the closing time to even give parcel.
5 for lovely food
-1 for service
Anish Samtani
Bottomline: Got lots of money to waste? Well, try this place then!
Ordered a Belgian Royale, chocolate croissant & a chocolate macaroon. While the chocolate macaroon was good, the croissant was tasteless. But the king of disappointment was the Belgian Royale. It was sickeningly sweet. That damn pastry bit â‚č 300 off my pocket. The bill amounted to like â‚č540. Being a sindhi, I almost got a heart attack. To make myself feel better, I went and ate my heart out at Kareems after that!
Akshay Jadhav
Best place to satisfy your french breakfast cravings! Never a disappointment. Best macaroons ever tasted in the city. Love their almond croissant. New outdoor seating makes it even better.
Rohan Sp
Perfect in every sense : best macaroons in the city , best croissants with new outdoor seating they have made it even better. Must try macaroons.
Akshay Bhave
Well, when you walk into this place the ambiance transports you to somewhere in the northern Europe, into a quaint surreal cafe.

Try their Pain au chocolat, Macroons; Iced coffee was average!
They also have an amazing collection of breads, tea-cakes, quiches, biscuits

A perfect place to satisfy your sweet cravings!
Bon Appétit
Padma Alankruta Mohanty
A, little taste of French food? Head here then! :) Service is top class! Food is good. My Saturday mornings are usually here! Calm place, just wish it was outdoors!
Swarup Kulkarni
This place is food lovers delight.. Tucked off Dhole patil road, this place offers some really good offerings when it comes to Bakery items.. We have tried, chocolate eclair, raisin roll & macrons. Their macrons are melt in the mouth & chocolate eclair is sinful. Raisin roll was also good but a bit chewy may be because they recommended to have it cold. They renovated the place with small sitting outside the shop.. Pricing is high considering with other peers. But if you are food lover, then this place is sure to give you gastronomical delight
Rohit Paniker
Very good service given every time I come here with friends...hence took my parents here but the experience this time was not as good as it was before ..hence will drop the rating a bit
Gaurav Bhagwat
Worlds best baked cheese cake !!but rarely available,it's a must must must try.
Kranti Vanjari
Yet another warm evening spent at this serene location. I have visited the boat club road branch many times and everytime i just could not stop recommending this place to friends and family. If you are a simple person with a rich taste for authenticity, experience and french food then this is the place to visit. Little expensive however, worthy enough to be secluded from chaotic streets, little European like escape ambiance and to taste the less known french delicacy.
Experential food lovers simply go for it!!!
Christopher Charles
This place has an amazing collection of Éclairs, Quiches, Viennoisieries, macaroni,
Breads, biscuits, tea cakes, tarts and sandwiches! If it is as simple as a Ham and Cheese Sandwich THIS IS THE BEST!
It's the only place in the metropolis where you'll get a Rhubarb Crumble! Try an Amandine for a change! If you must go for tarts, make it Peach or Lemon Meringue!
But if it's Cheese Cake this is your Cheese Cake!
Srishty Shaleen
THE WORST SANDWICH I EVER ATE. Ordered a cheese-tomato sandwich and the bread was harder than stone. By the time I was halfway done with the sandwich my jaw was aching. When I told the server this, she just smiled and collected her money.Oh help me, God! Never setting foot on this place again.
Seby Singh
A slice of Paris in Pune. The croissants are flaky. The almond croissants are bursting with flavour and can easily be shared. But would you? I dream about the dark chocolate mocha cake. Have the almond tuiles which are flavourful and crisp, the savoury quiches which can be taken home, popped into the oven and paired with a salad. The fruit tarts, particularly the peach should be snapped up. The macarons are sadly not authentic and lack in flavour as do some of the other patisseries. The coffees are good and the cafe is small but quiet for a relaxed time. An expansion is in the works to include soups and lunch. Lastly the two guys and girl who work there are charming and make one very welcome. Once you go, it will become a sweet habit like it has for me!
Allen Fernandes
Great quality chocolate in everything i tried. The macroons were heavenly.. and the quiche was as exquisite as the ones i tried in Paris.. lovely stuff! Must try on that road!
Sanchit S. Mittal
Hands down, The best Belgian Chocolate cake I've everrrr tasted, it's absolutely brilliant! The almond croissant is one of its kind and is yet again another delicacy of La Bouchée that one could drool over. I didn't like the coffee much, but all desserts are defiantly a treat to the eyes, as well as the mouth. Almost everything is a little pricey, the place actually looks a dessert place in Europe!
Bhagyesh Prabhu
A friend recommended this place and I was there today morning to try out their signature French Classic Ham and Cheese Baguette (Jambon Fromage).
It was so authentic that I was teleported to Paris for a moment where I tried it for the first time. The crisp freshly baked baguette, the superb quality ham and the perfect amount of cheese. Such a simple dish with just three ingredients, but no one can make it like the chef at this place. I also packed one for the lunch :)
Guys try this awesome place if you are a fan of french breads. Trust me on this.
I'm going back soon for their desserts :D
Araadhana Nivsarkar
I will ask you one question. And you must answer with all the honesty and sincerity in your heart. Have you been in love? Have. You. Been. In. Love? I have this very afternoon, and there's no looking back anymore.

A friend of mine took me here, saying they served the best croissants in town. I went along not knowing my life was going to be changed forever. We ordered the almond chocolate croissant. Fresh out of the oven, it was flaky, rich, buttery, chocolatey, tantalizing, magnificent, I could go on for eons. I ate one and I got so full, I thought I wouldn't ever eat again. I very rarely give a place a 5 point rating. This place surpasses that.

Would I recommend this place again to someone? Would I go again? Well I would be crazy not to visit again and you would be a crazy reader to not go after reading my review. It is slightly expensive, but it's worth it. It's worth every rupee. Please do give this a try. This place is fantastic.
Ketika Potey
A beautiful small French place that serves amazing macaroons!! We tried the chocolate and the coffee macaroons. The coffee macaroon was good but a tad bit too sweet for my taste. The chocolate macaroon was the best I've ever had! So do try it when you're here. And if you're craving a sinful chocolate dessert, the dense chocolate moka is what you're looking for! One bite and you're in chocolate heaven.. Plus they have a super friendly staff!
Saipriya Salla
Best patisserie in town. Loved the ambience. Loved the service.
We ordered the Lemon Tartlet, Chocolate Croissant and Pineapple Tart. We enjoyed all of them equally.
The Meringue on the Lemon Tartlet was incredible! And haven't had better Croissants even in Chennai.

Visit this place at the start of the month, as it is a little heavier on the pocket. But definitely visit it, though! Brilliant stuff!
Ankita Singh
Being a dessert addict, was looking for some high rated patisserie on zomato and stumbled on this. I found the ratings impressive and the name quite intriguing ,so visited the place a week back.
First things first, the place is really difficult to locate as it is in this almost deserted complex. Nevertheless , i did find it and wallah loved it. They have these cute italian style tables n chairs outside which really give a nice touch to the place. Inside there were wide variety of pastries, macaroons and breads. We chose the opera and chocolate macaroons. Both were super yum, the texture of the various layers of the opera was just perfect. The macaroons were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside.
All in all - a must go for every pastry addict!
Shruti
Ever craved for the perfect macaroon in Pune? Head to La Bouchee d'Or. This little bistro is run by a French chef and they serve the tastiest macaroons specially the mint one. Usually a mint macaroon would have mint essence. But at La Bouchee d'Or, the mint macaroons have a soft creamy centre that also has a few crushed mint leaves making it taste very rustic and natural. The other flavours are also delicious. Their pastries are extremely delicious. The service is friendly and they might even help solve your confusion after looking at the desert counter Although students might find it a little highly priced, treating yourself to a macaroon or pastry once a month is a good idea.
Their Macaroon is a must try!
Ashish Swarup
It's a boom time for bakeries in Pune and now we have at least one Parisian bakery in every corner of the city.
For me it's kind of macaroons war. Beautiful breads, quiches, pastries and what not. I have been to Paris and lived practically on these bakeries.
So to find something similar I ended up one morning at La Bouchee d'Or. The place was empty and I was the first customer I guess. I saw some familiar treats all over the counters. A mesmerising sight indeed.
Croissants have long been a staple of French bakeries and pĂątisseries. So I ordered one and it was nice. It had a flaky texture and little dry. I like it to be more moist though.
The quiche is considered a classic French dish, so I ordered a simple chicken one. The pastry crust was filled with tender chicken and some egg white. It was savoury and nice.
Beautiful macaroons are one of the current sweet crazes.I had a raspberry one. It was the combination of crisp, soft and chewy. Really nice but not the extraordinary.
All in all a not very breakfast. The food looks beautiful and tastes also nice but the downside is that you have to pay a lot of money. The question is that is it really with the money? I would say for one time experience yes but it's not like a regular cafe where you can go every day but for sure to celebrate some nice occasion.
P.S. Not too many tables though
Elakya
This 5 is only for their nachini bread!
A MUST TRY.. and their pastries are great! absolutely worth the price. croissants and other breakfast stuff can be better its an overload of butter
Fatema Abbas
I did not find anything in your store what is shown available in your menu. Croissants werent good.

Hey from EL The Cook!

The weekend draws near and this time we check out the boulangerie(a bakery that specializes in baking and selling bread) and patisserie (a pastry shop) , La Bouchee D'Or.

On a quiet, Boat Club road, sits one of Pune's hidden gems. La Bouchee D'Or, which means a " a mouthful of gold" literally takes you to heaven with their pastries and breads.

1) CROISSANT

The immaculate puff pastry glistens in the sunlight as picture perfect as can be. The flakiness of the pastry is delectable.

It is incredibly light and airy. The glaze over the top layer is almost perfect.

2) CHOCOLATE MACAROON

There are a few places that get these right. La Bouchee d'Or gets it perfectly!

The airy, soft almond biscuit gives way to an intense chocolate cream. The richness of the cream is beautifully balanced with the texture of the biscuit.

A delight to look at and a pleasure to eat from start to finish.

3) CARAMEL ÉCLAIR

The choux pastry is extremely well made. The airy delight is complimented well with the creamy filling inside. The caramel glaze is beautifully textured and not too sweet either.

A bite into one only makes them more irresistible!

4) LEMON MERINGUE TART

Artistry in food is evident in this dessert. The meringue is wonderfully complex, the creaminess hits after you have discovered it on your palette. The caramelization of the tops of the meringue add a slight bitter note and a lovely presentation.

The tangy lemon curd is beautifully complimented by a flaky tart, carefully hidden under the glistening peaks of meringue.

A truly divine dessert!

5) BACON AND CHEESE QUICHE

The richness of the cheese and smokiness of the bacon shine through this dish. The pastry is beautifully light and really compliments the heaviness of the tart well.

The size is just perfect for a quick, single serve snack.

La Bouchee d'Or, is a treasure in the pastry segment in Pune.

Serving up some of the prettiest pastries and warm breads in the city.

The quality of produce and the depth of the dishes served up is mind-boggling. It truly reflects the pastry-chef's skill and technique to produce works of art!

A must visit is La Bouchee d'Or!
Rishabh Khemuka
One of the best places to have deserts. I had chocolate macroons for the 1st time and loved them soft and filled with chocolate and also had a ham and cheese sandwich though the bread was a bit hard but the sandwich was good. A very sophisticated and neat place and also a quiet place to sit with friends and chill. Would recommend this place to all. Surely try. 😀😀 cheers. 😉

Had read about this patisserie long back in SRC's review and had bookmarked it then, but couldn't register it any time while passing through the area.

This week I was around for few errands and decided to locate and visit here. Unlike all other eating joints around it is not just by the way but located in the commercial gera towers, a place where I wasn't expecting. It's located such that if you are passing by you might not notice it until you are purposefully looking for it. I was little taken a back when standing at city point (mainland China building) google pointed it to be less 200 m away.

We entered the building and there it was looking like a fairytale book placed on a overboard shelf at an engineering college library. A very upmarket looking place done in shades of pink and grey with a huge glass display window - very French, surrounded by all kinds of offices that were closed for the day. They have limited seating option outside.

As we stepped in relatively smaller place, there were display counters having
limited options of quiches, 4 types of croissants, and macarons, pastries and few other dessert items.

They also had various types of bread loafs and baguettes, the unusual one that caught our attention was local hero - nachni loaf.

At first it appeared to have limited options, I was expecting more savoury options, but it was almost closing time (they shut shop at 7:30 pm). It also appeared to be expensive as a macaron was priced at 70 and pastries around 200-300. Most high end patisseries n are almost little less priced.

As I started clicking pics, was told it's not allowed and i might click one more max, so I got my order packed n planned to click and eat at home.

We got a passion fruit macaron, regular croissant, chocolate and pistachio croissant and chocolate cheese cake. We paid 500 odd for these 4.

The macaron had a very mildly tangy flavor, and had very nice texture of crumbly layers packing soft n smooth ganache filled middle layer, vanished in two very conservative bites. It actually didn't reach home n was consumed as car moved to 2nd gear wink emoticon

The croissants were really beautifully done, layers eager to have individual identity but still being together . We enjoyed the regular one with buhira fruit preserve and was perfect companion to Earl grey tea.

I personally liked the chocolate pistachio one to be best, it had a layer of nutella like sauce and another layer of a pistachio based creamy filling, and had pistachio bits that added crunch to the overall mellow croissant, I enjoyed it with my espresso making it a bitter and sweet blissful experience.

The cheese came was good but not exceptional like croissants . It was more towards milk chocolate intensity rather than being a medium range dark one, and was less cheesy in flavor (can't say if it's a good thing or not, I prefer the cheesy after taste in cheese cakes) . The base crust is what elevated the cake, it was thicker than usual had nut pieces in it to add crunch and was had right amount of goeyness. The dark chocolate chip is kinda dark I prefer, but that might be too dark for entire cake and won't go well with most cheese cake lovers.

It might not become my regular bakery or patisserie as its not exactly next door for me, but when in vicinity I would definitely go back for those croissants and macarons, n would try more pastries.

If they opened for few more hours it could have been a good option for post dinner desserts.

As a french, i take my weekend breakfast there and it's awesome. The croissants and pain au chocolat are better than some bakery in France. The tradition baguette is well done !

Driving in Pune is a task that would have turned even Gandhiji into a seething curmudgeon. With rearview mirrors, helmets and any sense of driving etiquette conspicuous on account of its absence, it would take someone with the patience of a monk to brave this sea of madness. And yet, I did just that on a barmy (and balmy) Thursday morning simply because I had to get myself a slice of Paris over in Pune. There are many that might choose to imitate it, but few I imagine that can truly equal it.

Arriving at our destination, it is fair to say that La Bouchee d’Or struck me as fairly underwhelming. Housed inside a commercial plaza that doesn’t exactly ooze charm and with its humble seating arrangements laid out outside the shop, La Bouchee d’Or can easily put off the more hedonistic amongst us.

However, I was certain that to strike gold at this hole in the wall boulangerie one would have to scratch the surface and dig deep in order to hit pay dirt. And so it was that we settled down for a quick bite with two baguettes to keep up company, one a Chicken Salami and Cheese and the other a Ham and Cheese. To round off proceedings, we ordered for some Macarons as well.

A small place, and not very easy to find the spot. But the breads are just perfect! The cakes were also pretty well made. Be it having it there or picking up a bread home...must surely give your taste buds a treat from this place.

Having lived on Baguettes & Croissants on a three week trip across France I was keen to try La Bouchee d'Or and while the wares were "good for Pune" they were certainly not a mouthful of gold! The croissants were appropriately crunchy on the outside but too dense on the inside - not light enough. The baguettes suffered from the same problem of being too "bready" on the inside and just not there. La Bouchee d' Or has a lot of potential to push things up a few notches and not to take the local population for granted.

Le Bouche d’Or literally means The Golden Mouth and it lives up to it perfectly. I was on the lookout to visit this place for quite some time now. It has two outlets: One in Aundh and one at the D.P. Road. The first time I came to the DP Road outlet was around 8:30pm and after spending about 40minutes looking for the place, I realized that the shop was closed already! ‘Who closes the shop during the peak hours on a weekend’ was my first response. But then a closer look helped me dawn upon the timings which clearly mentioned the closing time as 7:30pm. Sigh. Never mind. Another day another visit perhaps.

150th review and what better place could I have hoped to visit than La Bouchee d’Or. This was my first successful visit to this place after my previous two failed attempts to reach here before 7:30pm (for the uninitiated this is the time the shop downs its shutters). We reached this place this time at around 4:30pm in scorching heat and were delighted to find it stocked and loaded. The outlet is in the Gera Plaza which is undergoing some sort of construction so it was pretty loud with the sounds of drilling and what not.
The place has a cute collection of different desserts and a small nice seating space right outside amidst a canopy of plants.

I wanted to order a ton of desserts but looking at my huge one-pack ab, i decided to exercise some restrain. We ordered one Opera pastry and, the mango season it is, one Mango Tart along with one Cappuccino and one Latte. The attendant-cum-server was polite and really helpful in alleviating our dilemma for selecting the right pastries.

We occupied a table near a giant fan which thankfully was switched on soon enough. Our order arrived shortly and looked mouthwatering. The Mango tart was pretty delectable with the mango chunks sweeter than most desserts. It was done with in a jiffy. Next was Opera: This was absolutely fantastic both in taste and texture. It had multiple layers each more alluring than the other, each catering to a different palate, each more toothsome than the other. It had the softness of a pastry with a layer of crunchy hazelnut that reminded me of the goodness of Ferrero Rocher. Yum!

The coffees are decent and had the authentic French flavor. The only sore aspect of the entire visit was the outdoor seating which, given the searing temperatures, made us uncomfy.

Summary:
Food: 4.5/5
Ambiance: 3/5
Service: 3.5/5
Accessibility: 4/5
Overall experience: 4/5

Would I recommend: Oh yeah, most def’

To try: Try the Opera for sure
My $0.02 to the joint: Some more fans for the summer perhaps?

Our favourite croissant place! Gives us a little feel for Nantes, France every time we visit. Coffee is by far the best in the city! I wish they could start a version of the petit croissants too I am sure there will be a number of takers :)

Just been to this place for simple lunch. Had a salami and cheese sandwich and a diplomat pudding.
Had a perfect baguette in long long time, kudos to the boulanger. The diplomat pudding was great as well with lightly crunchy on outside and yummyli soft from inside.
I will be back soon.

I have resided in Pune for close to 5 years now and must credit my PR colleague for introducing me to such a wonderful Patisserie and Sweet Meat joint, inspired by the French Riviera.

Having been a part of Max Mueller Bhavan, during her German class stint, my PR colleague had some exciting times here and always reserves a special mention for the cold cuts, cookies and pastries she has come to love.

La Bouchee d'Or sits in a cozy part on Dhole Patil Road and you might even miss it, if you don't look too hard. Situated in a complex and having a lot of foreign customers who swear by the coffee and cold cuts available, I have now officially become a fan of the place.

The Black coffee I had with Demerara Sugar was right up there along with the Salami Sandwich (in a baguette) which was a recommendation by the owner and my colleague alike.

With a seating capacity of 15 members, you can always find a great spot and indulge in conversations which can carry on for hours.

I really enjoyed my time here with my PR colleague and had a kind word for the owner for keeping this place alive. Will return with my friend in tow for another helping of coffee and cold cuts and possibly some cookies/pastries too. :-)

Bon Appetit.

La Bouchee d'Or literally means 'a mouthful of gold' in French. And gold is what I most definitely struck when I stumbled upon this bite of Paris in Pune, two years ago. I have to admit, I've been holding on to this review for far too long now, probably in the hopes of keeping this boulangerie & patisserie a secret, ha! But in the last two years, it's great to see how far La Bouchee d'Or's come, with an increased patronage, wider menu and even another outlet. I will always pick this Parisian boulangerie & patisserie over any of the recently emerged Starbucks outlets, that has consistently produced quality breads, pastries and viennoiseries that are eye-catching, sumptuous, and often downright decadent.

While it may be located in a rather unfrequented plaza, La Bouchee d'Or is as welcoming as a French bistro can get. There is something irresistible about the little French details and baskets brimming with freshly baked bread. Even visitors who aren't terribly food-oriented cannot fail to be enthralled by a first encounter with their cute bistro tables, and a pastry case that reveals an eye-catching procession that passes taste tests with flying colours. As you walk in, be prepared to be consumed by the aroma of fresh bread, tarts and pastries. The staff is always attentive and helpful, and most importantly, know more than enough about the food.

Macarons are the crowning glory of French patisseries. If you've only ever seen these little round cookies with their ganache fillings and never tasted one, this might sound odd. But since they are rather humble looking, the explosive flavour packed within each little morsel comes completely unanticipated in the form of pure bliss!

While La Bouchee d'Or is perhaps best known for their macarons, which come in a rainbow of flavours, you would do well not to ignore their take on traditional confections, such as their tarts, and outstanding croissants and pain au chocolat.

When Julia Child brought French cooking to the world she famously said, “With enough butter, anything is good.” Well, I couldn't agree more, since it's the buttery pastry that makes La Bouchee d'Or's croissants melt in your mouth, and the lashings of fresh & creamy goodness that makes their baguettes come alive.

Their buttery pain au chocolat is stunning; golden and just the right amount of crisp on the outside, with melted chocolate swirled throughout the buttery pastry. The croissants are exactly how a traditional croissant should be, and I might I daresay, even better than the ones from Theobroma, Bombay; buttered and crunchy on the outside, and fluffy and flaky on the inside. I often try to make it to La Bouchee d'Or earlier in the mornings, and if I'm lucky, I get one right out of the oven, still steaming and giving off the most tantalising aroma.

It always surprises me to hear that the French are not actually big dessert eaters, since they offer an incredible repertoire of famous French desserts. However, you will almost always find that French desserts are elegant and require a fair amount of expertise to create. Each and every dessert in La Bouchee d'Or, created by Baker Brice himself, reflects attention to detail. Whether it's their tarts or pastries, La Bouchee d'Or's desserts boast subtle flavours and perfect execution.

When you’ve had your fill of delicious desserts, bring home some Lemon Tea Cake, or make a light weekend breakfast out of quiches and sandwiches. Even the little black and pink takeaway boxes are just j'adorable; half a point more for attention to detail!

When friends of mine from Paris visited La Bouchee d'Or, they were so very pleased, they said it reminded them exactly of home. I really don't think it gets any better than that! La Bouchee d'Or, in my opinion, is absolutely unparalleled by any other boulangerie in this city.

Drop in at the patisserie and savour the delights, and I promise you, you will find your way back again, and again.

I went there with my girlfriends and had a lovely evening where we almost felt like we were in france. I say almost because though the butter croissant was probably the best pune has to offer and coffee was delicious the indoor fake french cafe seating was so disappointing.
So 9/10 for the food
4/10 for ambiance. You simply cannot have an outdoor seeting indoors.

Wow. This place is also hidden one. i guess they also do business by word of mouth.

Each of their item is amazing and top notch. They are pricey too, but well worth the high price.

Their croissant and tart and coffee are all parfait. The nice little shop seems to be out of Paris. But the moment you come out of the small patisserie, and take the Parisian inspired chairs for sit down , you get a shock of your life by the contrasting immediate ugly atrium of Gera Plaza .

I guess it is best to pack the stuff and have them in your cozy home.

As a french citizen, i have to tell you guys : this bakery got better products than shops in Paris !!! The taste of my childhood obviously

The French bakery La Bouchee d'Or. Sounds really fabulous (saying that literally from the sound of it. I do not speak even an ounce of French). This place is really attractive. You enter this commercial complex on Boat Club Road and midst all these shops is this really interesting small setup of a café. It looked so pleasant and welcoming.

I study in MMB and had a long class today so decided to try out the Croissants at La Bouchee d’Or for breakfast. When I went there at 9am first, the gentleman behind the counter told me that the Croissants kept on display were from the previous day and fresh ones would be ready in 15 minutes time. Truly appreciate the honesty here. I would rather wait. I went back after an hour with few friends and decided to parcel the Chocolate, Chocolate Almond and the Pistachio Croissants. Oh and were they delicious or what! Massive croissants with sufficient fillings and plain fabulous. We thoroughly enjoyed them and the icing on the cake was the price. Very reasonable.

I am so glad I found this place. All future mid- and post-class breakfasts at La Bouchee d’Or henceforth.

Food – 4

Service – 4

Ambiance – 4

A seriously cute Parisian-ish boulangerie in the Gera Plaza/Boat Club Rd area. We walked in after a big (but unsatisfying) meal at Sigree and thought to only check it out.
All Mumbai and Pune joints considered (including fancy 5-star ones), this place makes some of the best macarons around by far!

By 2:15 pm they had empty show cases, which I think is testimony to what the locals think about their products. Hope it is re-stacked for the evening run. That said, they had run out of the French baguettes and would not have a fresh batch until the next am. Bummer. The macarons looked good so we got a bunch - chocolat, nescafe, passion fruit, and lemon. Pricey at 70 bucks a pop in Pune but they were bigger than the usual macaroons one sees in the few establishments that do it even slightly well.

The shell's not crunchy (which is how I do like it...a bit of crunch) but they do have a melt-in-the-mouth texture that suggests butter has jumped in A LOT!

Lemon had the biggest punch, chocolate was very good, while nescafe and passion fruit lagged just a bit.
I'll be back for more fo sho! Especially for the baguette.

Do visit this place!

Very nice atmosphere. Onion quiche was very nice with a flaky crust n creamy filling. Dessets looked great but were a bit pricy at 150 rs for a piece of cake.

Well, if you have a sweet tooth or you crave for french patisseries then this is one place in Pune that you have to try. It's NOT a place which has got just a fancy french name but also has some serious food which tastes equally well. To start with, it's a little on the expensive side and more of a 'begining of the month luxury' for some. But trust me if you crave for good desserts, the ones which are high on taste and not on quantity, then you won't be disappointed. Since I've never been to France I can't use words like authentic but as per my Indian palette the macrons, the cakes and the biscuits, all offer an explosion of taste in that first bite. The belgian chocolate pastry was rich with chocolate and the kinds that you would not find in other bakerys. The almond caramel biscuits which I tried are also something that I've not found anywhere else and rich in taste. They let you taste the biscuits so try them before buying. If you are too confusedwith the menu then order the croissant and the french toast which are euqally tasty and also a little easy on the pocket. The quiches are also nice with some good quality cheese that would certainly leave you asking for more.

The ambience of the place has also been done well and gives a nice european feel to it but gets hampered a little because its inside a commercial complex. I would have loved to sit long hours at this place had it been set up with some nice outdoor garden seating.

Overall, a place that is a must visit for all those who have a sweet tooth.

I made a very quick visit to La Bouchée so am not sure if it is worth a review. But am still writing because the place really charmed me. Housed inside an uninspiring commercial plaza, they've managed to still build a character for their shop. The little wood promenade outside with potted greens really makes for a perfect place to chat, read or relax over coffee and desserts.

The shop looks like a treat with its colourful fruit tarts, pastries, eclair sand multitude of bread. I just had a cappuccino and croissant. The coffee was regular but the croissant was quite something.
It was a pity that I was already loaded with a heavy lunch , but am definitely visiting again to sample the breads and tarts!

Lovely bakes and excellent coffee!! Special mention for the Pain au Chocolat and the Multi grain bread! Will definitely go back to try more of the desserts!

The best bread in Pune by a mile! Nothing comes close. Brice is a trained patissier and boulanger, having trained at one of the best culinary academies in France, and his attention to detail and quality is second-to-none. He even imports the finest ingredients from France, hence the cost of his breads and pastries are higher than average, but one has to pay for quality.

Since discovering Bouchée d'Or a year ago, I won't buy my bread anywhere else!

For anyone rating BdO less than 4.5, they simply don't know anything about good bread, obviously haven't been to France and experienced the bread culture there, and seemingly have no taste!

"You can't get a BMW for Tata Nano money." - Alejandro Sol

This is a interesting place to have some desserts and bakery products. The bravery of the outlet lies in the fact that despite knowing that all the products might not suit the taste buds of many, they still vouch for complete authenticity in their food products. So one might find pastries to not be sweet and can be even sour!!! But if one looks for some experimentation and is bored of the regular stuff at other outlets then this is the place. The food is not bad at all but desserts are amazing. You might hate it or like it and we liked it.

If you are looking for a really but i mean really good baked products, you shouldn't go further then to La Bouchee d'Or. We absolutely love this little french bakery. Their menu is full of choice and will make your mouth water. The bread selection is fantastic and the bread taste like heaven. Baguettes are lush and am not even mentioning all the different croissants that they have got to offer. They have got a lovely sitting area outside the bakery so you can enjoy cup of lovely coffee with a freshly baked croissant. yummy.
I love coming here and i am so glad there is such a place in Pune. The staff is very friendly and always welcome us with a smile and kind words.
I would highly recommend La Bouchee d'Or , once you have visited you will be going back all the time.

Well done La Bouchee d'Or and big thanks for your great products :-)

Here is my review on this French bakery - http://www.thetinytaster.com/2013/08/la-bouchee-dor-patisserie-frenching-up.html

La Bouchee D'or Patisserie - Frenching up BoatClub Road!
If you thought Pune is a little town studded with just kathi roll vendors and misal pao everywhere you are sadly mistaken. There is a LOT this city offers culinary wise but this little nook I recently discovered takes it to a whole new level.
Introducing La Bouchee D'or Patissierie, Pune first authentic French Bakery. Or so they tell me. I haven't been to France so I can't really judge. It's an adorable bakery set inside Gera Plaza and has a comfy outdoor seating arrangement (the bakery is too small inside) and beautifully displayed treats. They have two massive jars filled with mini meringues but for some reason they don't retail those which is really strange.
'the fine arts are five in number, namely - painting, sculpture, poetry, musicc and architecture, the principal branch of the latter being pastry.' - Antonin Careme (Marie Antoine Careme)
I can't agree more with this quote. Pastry making is an art and sadly every bakery in town doesn't make the cut. With so many friends raving about this relatively new bakery I'm curious to see what it has to offer.
They have a small menu which proudly displays tarts, tartlets, quiches, sandwiches, Ă©clairs and a whole load of pastries. This isn't the place to pop into if you're hungry and hankering for some savoury food because that is limited. It's also small very French sizes so if you're ravenous this will disappoint.
This wasn't meant to be a review when I walked into this place. It was just a quick pit stop with a friend during a very manic day of running around but I thought it would be nice to give you a sneak peak of the bakery and what I ate.
They had sold out quite a few items by the time I reached so the only savoury option other than croissants was their 'flammekueche' or what they call a bacon cream pie. It's a sort of flatbread topped with creamy cheese, generous bits of bacon and sweet onions. This reminds me of a pizza and feels more Italian than French but what do I know. It tends to get a little oily from the bacon oozing oil once it's heated but soft bread, cheese and bacon is not a combo that can go wrong and it's a filling open pie.
The Ă©clairs come in three flavours - chocolate coffee and vanilla so I opted for the latter. The flavouring really is only in a patch on top of the Ă©clair and the filling is actually light custard. I can't fault the pastry per say but let's just say I was expecting more vanilla flavouring and definitely less custard.
The pommier sounded like an interesting dessert. It was a pastry with apple tatin and crĂšme Brule. A very unusual mix and actually tasted wonderfully different but it's a heavy dessert. There was another layer between the apples and the Brule which I just couldn't place so next time I drop by I shall definitely ask them what it was.
The place prides its self on original authentic recipes and imports all its ingredients which would explain its slightly higher pricing than any other bakery in town but I suppose you pay for quality.
I'm not sure if I'm absolutely in love with the place because from all the three things I sampled I wasn't overtly wowed by anything but at the same time I quite enjoyed them.
Maybe next time I'm in Pune I'll stop by to sample more. Maybe even the famed 'framboisier' which is heir raspberry mousse cake that mon ami highly recommends!

Really impressed. Top quality croissants. Worth the price premium.

Their quiche lorraine is to die for! And for the gentleman above, who said his quiche was cold, they're happy to warm it up for you if you ask for it :) I also really love the bacon flambe and the almond croissants. Word of caution: Don't go there after a swim, because you'll end up eating everything, and have a tummy ache later! Yep - 2 quiche lorraines, 1 bacon flambe and half a goat cheese and spinach quiche later, I was hard put to drive myself home! The one thing I would love is if they could expand their sandwich and savoury food menu. I don't have much of a sweet tooth, so a large part of their menu is sadly wasted on me. My friends really dig their pastries and stuff though...

Loved the place. I was in search of good and fresh baguettes, multi-grain bread and rye bread. And I was not disappointed. I went a little crazy with the stuff I bought and got home. We ended up eating the baguette with just plain olive oil! It was superb. Also tried the pain au chocolat and loved it too.

I am definitely going back for the fruit tarts, donuts, eclairs and the quiches!

Highly recommended!

An authentic french-styled bakery. Thr ambience is also as well-crafted as it gets. Gives you the feeling that you are in france. The prices are high, but spending even your weekly savings out here is definitely worth a go. Puneites must go here at least once, especially if you have been to France and want to relive the experience.

This place is like a little slice of France right here in Pune. And the best part is I dont have to go all the way to Bund Garden Road anymore, because they have one right here in Aundh.

I walked into the new Aundh branch and instantly noticed all the little details about the decor like the pretty detailing on the doorknob or the huge french board put up, almost transporting you back to a little French cafe.

Don't let the prices shock you. A little over 100 seemed perfectly reasonable once my fiancee declared he couldn't finish their incredibly buttery and melt in the mouth chocolate and pistachio croissant. I, on the other hand, indulged in a sinful dessert called the Opera - which was the perfect name because the combination of flavours in it truly did sing to me. Complete with a hot cappuccino.

According to my partner in crime (for overeating), even places in France will find it hard to keep up with the quality of desserts here. And he's spent considerable time in France so he probably knows what he's talking about.
This place is a MUST VISIT, even if it means loosening your purse strings a little. The desserts are to die for!

A nice place, d quality of bakery products is excellent. It's a bit pricey though

I quite like this bakery/ patisserie .. it's very french and the display items are just mouth watering. I have however, just tried their croissant and quiche... croissant is crisp from outside and soft inside... it's yumm and not something that's available anywhere... the quiche was great too. the bakery items are priced a little high but their beverages are pretty economical. Would recommend the place to people!

Went once.Had the Quiche Lorraine and the Bresilienne. Loved it.
Went again. Called for the Tomato Emmenthal sandwich. The sandwich did not have any tomatoes in it. So I replaced it with chicken. However it was utterly devoid of taste. The only saving grace was the bread. It was a sad version of a sub. When I asked why I wasn't told about the tomatoes I received a rude reply - " We have been serving it this way since 2 months".He got a piece of my mind. Even if I had come there the day before, he should have told me when I placed the order.
They do have good desserts.
Verdict:Never going back.

I hv been here 4-5 times only but really loved that Royale Chocolate pastries..!!
Nice ambiance, Very calm place in the afternoon and you are eating chocolate, this so relaxing for me..!!
Really love this place.

I have been to many restaurants in Pune where the place is cute but the food is a let down. Here the location is ok, it's a bit dead actually. But the food and the overall feeling of the place makes up for it. I keep wanting to go back because unlike other places where the menu sounds fancy but the food that you get is totally not what you ordered, here you get really proper stuff. The staff also seem to know what they are doing. I had the spinach and goat cheese quiche and I could actually taste the goat cheese. Generally if you ask for imported cheese in a salad or pizza you have to ask for a magnifying glass to find it. For 80 rs, I found it pretty reasonable for the quality.
