Review Oriental Fusion - Pune

Saurabh Malve
I had the pleasure of dining at the restaurant of Oriental Fusion @ Ramee Grand Pune a short while ago, where I was treated to an exceptional buffet experience that left an indelible mark on my palate and memory. From the moment I stepped into the elegant dining space, I knew I was in for a treat. They usually serve the buffet at their rooftop restaurant of It’s Mirchi, however it is closed due to monsoon. Ambiance and Atmosphere – The ambiance of the restaurant was a harmonious blend of sophistication and comfort. Soft lighting, tasteful decor, and cozy seating arrangements set the stage for a relaxing and enjoyable meal. The restaurant's atmosphere struck a perfect balance between upscale dining and a welcoming, laid-back environment. Variety and Presentation – The buffet spread was an absolute feast for the senses. The sheer variety of dishes on offer was awe-inspiring, catering to a wide range of palates and dietary preferences. From starters with flavourful deliciousness to succulent main course cooked to perfection, every dish was a work of art. The presentation of each item was meticulous, showcasing the culinary expertise of the kitchen staff. Quality of Food – The quality of the food exceeded all expectations. Each dish was crafted with care and attention to detail, evident in the explosion of flavours with every bite. My friends enjoyed the seafood that was incredibly fresh, the chicken tender, and I had enjoyed the vegetarian options which were just as delightful. It was evident that the chefs take immense pride in their creations, as the flavours were bold, well-balanced, and left an unforgettable impression. Service – The service provided by the restaurant staff was impeccable. Attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, they went above and beyond to ensure that every diner's needs were met. Empty plates were promptly cleared, new food was served properly, and any inquiries about the dishes were met with enthusiasm. The seamless service added to the overall positive experience of the buffet. Value for Money – Considering the exceptional quality, variety, and service provided, the buffet at was undoubtedly a remarkable value for money. The experience felt like a culinary journey around the world, and the reasonable price for such a lavish spread was truly commendable. In conclusion, my visit to the restaurant at Ramee Grand for their buffet was an unforgettable gastronomic adventure. The combination of a welcoming ambiance, an array of delectable dishes, top-notch service, and excellent value for money made it a dining experience I won't soon forget. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to fellow food enthusiasts and anyone looking for a culinary escape that tantalizes the taste buds and warms the heart. I look forward to returning to for another delightful buffet in the near future. Kudos to the entire team for creating such an exceptional dining experience!

Probably the best buffet spread I've ever tasted! Oriental Fusion, located in Hotel Ramee Grand at Apte Road near Deccan, it a good place to have family lunch or dinner meetings or outings. The staff is too good & ambience is amazing. The food is also decorated as well as the view from their windows is mesmerizing. Furthermore, a huge variety of options to choose from include soups, self baked breads, starters, drinks, veg & non veg & lastly desserts. All of it comes just at Rs. 799/- and/or Rs. 899/- plus taxes. Do visit for a wholesome experience! <3 :)

#supriyachaubal11 reviews Don’t know where to spend the weekend? Well we found a classic place! Sunday Brunch @orientalfusion Ramee Grand Hotel & Spa, Apte Road Yes, right in the heart of aapla Pune The brunch was lavish. You will be spoiled with choices from Indian, Asian & Continental Cuisines. (Menu varies every Sunday) Duration 12:30 – 3:30pm We tried #Soup – Burnt Garlic Chicken Soup #Starters : 4 Veg 4 Non veg options I tried Paneer BalleTikka, Crispy fried Veggies, Chicken Lollipop & Murgh Nicobari Tikka. Loved both tikkas & crunchy crispy veggies. #Salads Variety of 4/5 Asian & Continental Style Salads . Live Counter for #Pasta and #Chaat. Pani puri was real good, flavourful & tangy. Main Course is extensive. I tried #Saoji Chicken, #Paneer kaleji Masala and Mutton Ghee Roast along with #Chicken_Biryani. Tried Bamboo Water chestnut Sambal with Singapore Noodles and Fried Rice from live counter. While the saoji was delicious, paneer kaleji was definitely a winner. Chicken biryani was very tasty. Dessert counter is loaded with pastries, Fruit cake, cupcakes, macrons while rasmalai, jalebi, ice creams and more to entice your cravings. Wooh! Am I stuffed. Need a coffee … A very enjoyable meal & my Sunday done right. Don’t forget to like my post And earmark OrientalFusion at Ramee Hotel & Spa - Make your weekend special… HAPPY BRUNCHING!!

A night to remember, had a lovely evening at the Oriental Fusion Restaurant! Experience luxury at it's best, fine dining, warm & generous hospitality & the best part is the chef's won't stop feeding you haha. Ramee Grand needs no introduction, Ramee Group Hotels is a Renowned chain of 4 star hotels serving for years! Service is quick, staff is attentive Coming to food Quality & Quantity wise I would rate it a 4/5 1) Tomato 🍅 Soup - In Pune winters it's a must, keeps u warm, creamy & smooth texture comforting for a cold night 2) Lotus stem with black bean sauce - Crispy fried kamal kakdis I tried this for the very first time & to my surprise it turned out to be so good Sweet & juicy vegetable with a lot of health benefits 3) Paneer Jaipuri - Vegetarians favourite paneer, well marinated, large chunks of paneer just melts in your mouth 4) In starters u can also try the tandoori grilled veg that includes veggies like baby corn, brocolli & lastly the beetroot cutlet with mayonaise dip Moving to Mains I tried Bhindi Do Pyaza with very Unique & Interesting Naans that you will rarely get anywhere. So ditch the usual butter naan, garlic naans & go for rosemary naan, chilli flakes naan & kalonji corriander naan Try their Speciality Dal-e-Ramee with the Jeera Rice goodness of beans, cream u can sense butter (ghee) in every bite Ended the day on a sweet note with their Dessert Platter! Boo hoo I ain't sharing my desserts haha

Looking for that perfect space for a Sunday brunch, Oriental Fusion at Ramee is the place to be. It is a perfect place whether you would like to bring your family along or get your business associates over. The options for the appetisers are wide and also includes a special section for kids food, where they can in donuts etc. The venue also includes a live chaat counter, where you can enjoy delicious pani puri , chaat etc. Separate buffet sections for vegetarian &non vegetarians. I would highly recommend the sayaji mutton/chicken or the Bengali style fish. In the vegetarian options, dal Makahani with rice is just too good. The ultimate comfort food. The team and the chef are absolutely wonderful. They make sure that the service is impeccable and are very very attentive towards their guests. A fantastic brunch overall, definitely visiting again.

Ramee Grand, one of the best go to place for Continental Cuisine Lunch. The ambience, hospitality and quality of food is just perfect with a hint of luxurious ambience. I had Chicken Kebab, Paneer Tikka, Cheese balls, Fried Fish in starters. Trust me everything tasted amazing. Chicken Kebab: I loved the softness of chicken kebab, it just melted inside mouth. The masala they used gives Authentic taste. Paneer Tikka: was garnished verywell. This was perfectly cooked. One the must order dish when going for veg starters. Fish tikka: The outer coating of fish tikka was given perfect crispy finish and soo softer from inside. The dip was also nice. Coming to the main course, I had, Chicken Gravy: Nicely chopped boneless chicken gravy has such a nice mouthwatering aroma, that anyone would just fall for it. Chicken curry: This isn't some regular curry that you would have. It has blend of cream with some amazing spices. Dal Makhni: I suppose that dals were cooked for enough time to give it the that original Punjabi North Indian taste. Ekdum Makkan mar ke! Biryani: The onions in the Biryani were fried exactly as it tastes. The masala was also great. Steamed rice: This was regular but really soft. I know this are regular dishes but Ramee Grand has their own touch in making. Desertssss: This is something which i would never miss. Ras Malai: The milk in Rasmalai and the khoa malai tasted soo yummy. Beetroot Halwa: was nicely given topping of cashews, raisins and Almonds. It was a new experience. If you are in or around Shivaji Nagar, Ramee Grand is must go to place for Lunch Buffet.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and that is why one should have a king size breakfast!! If you eat good breakfast trust me you will have a really good day and if your breakfast is not proper then god bless you. We all are habituated of eating breakfast at home but with this changing time, I have started exploring places for breakfast so that I can start my day on a good note. My only problem is I get very confused about what to eat when I go out for the breakie. Sometimes I want to eat south Indian, sometimes North Indian, sometimes Misal or Maharashtrian, and continental sometimes but most of the times I want to eat everything. I know you can totally relate to me. I love breakfasts at hotels, as they fulfill my need for something of everything but I really can not afford to eat at fancy places every weekend. Again I know you can relate to this problem as well!! What if I tell you there is a nice and fancy place serving really good breakfast (an array of good food) at a very reasonable price. Yes Oriental Fusion in Ramee Grand serves amazing breakfast at very affordable price. They have a breakfast buffet for 400++ price. The variety of food too much if compared to the price. They have Juices, Cereals, Bread Basket with different types of Bread, Assorted Rolls, Live Counter for Eggs and South Indian, Fresh Fruits, Health Station, Cheese Platter. Then they a huge buffet of all the breakfast item including Poha, Upma, Oats, Parathas, Idli, Puri-Bhaji, Grilled Vegetables, Non Veg Protein, Some regional dishes also. The food here is really amazing, I loved the eggs, the mushroom omelet was just amazing and sunny side up just brighten my day. I enjoyed the puri bhaji and dosas were just perfect. Croissant and Muffins were perfect with the tea and I enjoyed toats with my eggs. Fresh juices were really refreshing. That day I stuffed myself with so much breakfast that I almost skipped my lunch. The food here is excellent and service is one of the best. I really had no idea this place serves so much good food at so less price. My buffet breakfast place is sorted now.

If perfect hospitality is your first priority then there is no better place in town. The restaurant has a large variety in BUFFET menu, so large that nobody can taste each and every dish. Malai paneer and Stuffed Cannelloni with mushroom sauce were some of the finest dishes of buffet. However the quality of overall buffet could be better, Doughnuts weren't fluffy, panipuri/golgappa could have been better with either hot ragda or cold water. Mango icecream was having lot of essence in it and some other small things could be improved. But at the end, hospitality covered it up. Extremely polite staff and pleasant ambiance are the 'plus' points of this place.

I spent a very good moment. I was served by Sarishma. Food was very tasty and Sarishma brought me some other disher who were not supposed to be available. If I come back to Pune I will come back to this restaurant.

1. Let's start from 2 wheeler parking space. No parking space is available for 2 wheelers and if you ask security person he will advice you to make you stand your vehicle on road.
2. After that when you ask where is the damn buffet restaurant, the security people even doesn't know that!
3. As you arrive at restaurant, restaurant people will make you feel good by getting you table , water etc but as you move to food counter , you will be very disappointed to see the menu on buffet table!
4. Starters were served on table, for non veg there were only 3 options available. Quality and quantity was not up to the mark. We had tawa fish which was very oily and covering of it made with maida and besan which was not good at taste. Then they had typical chinese chicken items. Both were just ok.
5. Salad and Farsan: tasteless chicken salad wad kept in buffet along with other veg salads. For Farsan item, fry idli chaat was edible.
6. Fir main course veg: veg noodles , 2-3 veg curries along with steam rice were available. For all items taste was really lower grade.
7. Main course non veg: if your are looking non veg buffet, I must suggest this is not the place to visit. Only 1 chicken curry , 1 fish curry that too was with river fish basa... Hardly edible. Biryani was having too much garam masala in it ..poor quality.
7. Last but not the least dessert: after all this havoc , I was expecting at least good dessert counter. But that wish too was not fulfilled by oriental fusion. Pastries , custard and icecream was kept under glass display and an extremely slow lady was serving it. That too with her self assumption to serve one dessert at one time. Me and other customers were waiting for almost 15 min to get a single scoop of choclate ice cream !!!
And in between all this waiting time the restaurant people will come and ask your comfort for almost after every 2 mins .. generous way to ask you to leave the table at earliest...

So, after all this if I must suggest if anybody looking for a buffet dine out. please don't consider oriental fusion buffet restaurant.
I have been tried Sigree and Barbeque nation which has quite good menu and staff for buffet dine out.
I had used eatigo 50% off to visit this place so it total costs me 1250/-rs. For 2 people.
Cost wise I got the cheaper deal but truely I have had food there , which was not more than 400/- rs. For two...

Overall ratings:
Food 1/5
Ambience 2/5
Staff 1/5
Quality and Quantity food 0/5
Cost 3/5 (these 3 points for eatigo discount)

Overall

Some top notch flavourful Indian food! we tried the a-la-carte indian selection and were mighty impressed. low on spice but full on flavour and very nicely presented. love the food - paneer was super too - creamy and brittle!
service is great and so are portion sizes decent.
would like to go back for a buffet sometime!
Karen Joy
Wide spread buffet, great for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Ambience is great and the staff is pretty helpful as well. The food is good overall as expected in a buffet. Flavors can always be better but the variety and readily available help of the start covers up all of the cons. A good place indeed.
Aditya Palshikar
Good ambience, courteous staff, delicious food, especially main course and desserts. Need to improve on starter menu.
Great for kids as they have separate section for kids buffet along with drawing and painting activities.
Overall nice experience!
Will surely visit again!!

A restaurant with fancy name but the quality of biryani is too below standard rice is not biryani rice at all when brought to notice they said we will change the dish .compare to price not worth the taste portion size garnish presentation raita was watery I had to tell to make it thick but they got adding some more curd the chicken pieces were not marinated at all very dry not juicy at all .chef needs to eat biryani from other authentic biryani house to know what taste the guest is expecting thank you hope management takes review as positve feed back ...but the biryani was served again with great taste and great garnish and rice was awesome thank for the prompt action from chef Navin the restaurant manager wow that's call service thank a ton

Oriental Fusion, Ramee Grand, Apte Road

Lunch Buffet #foodtasting

Last month I had the pleasure of trying out the Lunch Buffet at Oriental Fusion, at Ramee Grand. Located right in the heart of the city, Oriental Fusion offers a lovely buffet lunch spread. They run it daily, making it an excellent option for folks looking for a decently priced yet luxurious lunch option with family, friends or business colleagues.

We went on a Sunday, when they were serving a "kids special" menu in addition to the regular buffet spread. This included a variety of desserts, pizzas, and other kid friendly items. A tattoo artist also was keeping the kids busy while parents could enjoy their meal in peace.

The food is quite good overall. With a good mix of chinese and indian options, the starters leave not much to be desired. Quick service for kababs and live counters for chaat gives you several options to keep your mouth busy. I particularly enjoyed the chicken clear soup and the chilly chicken. The corn chaat and the paneer tikka were favorites among the vegetarians.

From the mains, both the Butter Chicken as well as the Fish Goan Curry were superb. Hot butter naans at the table with the Butter Chicken = perfect bliss. The chicken biryani ran out of chicken pieces, leaving us waiting for a while while they refilled it.

Among the desserts were a variety of pastries and cakes. I hogged on the ice cream, making my very sundae, with 3 different flavors of ice cream with a variety of toppings.

Priced at 999/-++, it is decently priced, specially in this area, considering the wide spread they serve. Definitely one I wouldn't mind revisiting personally.
Rajesh Ravindran
Excellent service, specially by Rabiul. I came here in the afternoon and they were serving only buffet which I couldn't have, requested if a soup and omelette sandwich could be made without oil and it was served absolutely how I wanted. Thanks.

First of all, there is nothing ‘Oriental’ about this place and therefore the ‘Fusion’ does not exist either.

As for the food, the starters are just about okay, the main course is largely tasteless (except for the curd rice) & finally the desserts are a nightmare. The ice creams were so excited that they melted even before they landed on my plate.

As for service, it’s fantastic! Pretty much, all of this fine service is rendered useless without tasteful food. Thank god, I had 50% discount from a popular website... GOSH!!

Guys, get your act together or atleast stop calling that restaurant ‘Oriental Fusion’.
Sudershan Avinash Kshirsagar
Good service. Attentive service. Nicely arranged Buffett. Good food. Starters were delicious. Main course is also well prepared and apt. Thanks to Deepti. Kudos!

#IWasInvited #FoodTasting #FoodBlogger #SundayBrunch

Ramee Grand is a very veteran player in Pune’s food scene and their ‘Oriental Fusion’ restaurant know for serving far eastern cuisine is currently hosting up a ‘Kids special Sunday brunch’. Yupp you heard it right they came up with Kids special Sunday brunch wherein they want the entire family to dine together on some sumptuous brunch and yet not feel bothered by kids nagging around. The kids are kept happy and engaged by a special kids corner on top of all the yummy treats packed in for the lil’ ones such as croquets, potato smiley’s, cup-cakes, pastries, muffins, croissants etc. The corner has colour sheets and a tattoo artist as well for some eventful time. The huge screen showcases animate and kid’s special movies as well.

So with Kids being settled now let’s come to the main part – the food! Now, if you ask me a wholesome yummy spread of multiple cuisines and over 55+ dishes priced at 999++ is more than a steal deal. The counters are seen bustling for they cater to all sorts of palate tips and taste buds. So weather you are a health freak who loves to gorge on assorted salads or the chatora types seen at pani-puri and chat counters, someone who loves his pastas or girls who can’t resist yummy pastries and desserts; you are bound to please your taste buds. Now like any roller coaster ride, there are bound to be few highs and lows and since we ensured that an honest, constructive feedback was delivered to Chef on improvements required, I will mainly focus on things that went well. We are food lovers after all not critics!! ;)

We started off with some coolers (fresh lime soda and strawberry cooler) which were a decent start and helped prepare our tummies for the hog fest to begin. The drinks were balanced on sweetness and fizz and served with some dazzle. #KickStarters

Starters had around 3 dishes of each veg and non-veg category and were something that was bound to keep you asking for more. This was true especially with stuffed mushrooms, crispy corn and fish in black bean sauce. They were spot on. Stuffed mushrooms were more of achari mushrooms and lovely to gorge on. Fish was nicely done and crunchy onions brought in some extra bite. #MustHaves.

Achari paneer tikka made using in house fresh paneer was equally delectable as was Hari mirch ka Murg tikka. The Galouti kebab missed out on flavours and needed major improvement similar to crispy fried chicken. Hopefully they are perfected by now. #WorthTrying

The soups are just too good to miss especially the burnt garlic chicken soup. #Yumm

From the live counters while pani puri and chat hit some home runs, the white sauce pasta was more of a passing affair for me.

Coming to mains, the people who prefer non veg might have an upper hand here for the best dish across was undoubtedly the makhani chooza (a.k.a butter chicken), which was closely followed by Alleppey fish curry. The butter chicken was very well marinated and rich creamy in taste while the Alleppey fish curry had a mild rawness of mango and turmeric used in its flavourful curry. #MustHaves

Catching up the bandwagon were Hyderbadi mutton dum biryani, Lagaan ka paneer and dum ki daal.

I was spoilt for choices quite literally and as such had little room left to try everything on this epic menu however, I did try some deserts for finishers along with the customized ice cream from the live counter. The pastries were mix from in house and outsourced and were decent to end such a generous and hearty meal. The simple plain ice creams with assorted sprinklers to choose from were the most convincing option however in general.

The feast is very convincing to miss out and that too at a n amazing price point. They are open from 12.30 to 3 for these Kids special Sunday brunch for the next couple of Sundays. So go on grab those forks and get set to gorge on.

Visited this place for dinner buffet on a weekday. The place was full despite being a weekday. We were expecting good food. But this place highly disappointed us.
1. Served us cold starters.
2. Main course like noodles, curd rice tasted like it was not made on that day.
3. Value for money: 2/5 rating
It costed us 999 per person.

“Kya kare kya na kare yeh kaisi mushkil hai, Koi to bataa de iska haal o mere bhai.

Ke ek taraf to Continental se pyaar kare hum, Aur South Indian se ye kehne se dare hum.”

Breakfast. What does one like to have for a leisure breakfast? Toe the international trend and opt for Continental spread or be desi and choose the staple South Indian cuisine [Kyuki Dil Hai Hindustani]? Has anyone ever faced this conundrum?

Well, I have. Multiple times. And every time I have wondered if I can get the best of both worlds, choosing to pair an ‘egg’-cellent dish with the luscious Pongal or even a dosa. And it seems like my prayers have finally been answered.

I have been staying in this hotel for the past 5 weeks weeks and eating breakfast and evening meals most days.

The food is great but the service is fantastic. If I come back to Pune I will make it again. A special mention has to go to Shekhar who has personally attended to my every need whilst I have been here.

Thanks to everyone.

Danny

We didn't try the buffet instead we went for a la carte menu and absolutely loved everything. The ambience is really welcoming and no words for the service. The server was extremely polite, suggestive and attentive. Let's talk about food. We ordered:
Korean chicken in yellow bean sauce: 5/5
Crunchy fried chicken: 100/5
Kozi ghee roast chicken: 5/5. Chicken was melt-in-the-mouth😍
Roomali roti, onion stuffed kulcha, phulke and Missi roti: 5/5
Tiramisu: heavenly/5😋
Highly recommended.!!!

They have an amazing lunch buffet and it's really worth trying. The service was fast and the food was really amazing. The best of all was the banana leaf wrapped fish which was steam cooked it was really great. The staff is polite friendly and was quick in service. The food quality was great and options available we're also good to have. They can improve on their desserts section they don't have much variety in that.

Over all a great experience

Staff 5/5
Food 5/5
Ambiance 4/5
Service 4/5
Quality 4/5
