Review Midtown Bar & Lounge - Pune

Quite an amazing place if you are looking for ambience, good music, good food and drinks! Am glad I visited ..loved the  kebabs, the lovely, melt in mouth corn potato and triple  Shezwan ..and yes the cranberry and classic LIIT , sex on the beach drinks were just too good. Word of appreciation to the Staff! Overall a wonderful experience!!!

Give it a try and don't hold on high expectations. Your mileage may very. Ambience 4.5/ 5 Food 3/5 Service 3/5 VFM 4/5 This is a place just beside Retox. The really good ambience in a cozy space. Lots of plus points for their ambience and I was impressed with it. Great for couples as well as groups. They also have semi balcony seating, which is great for watching spots along the projector screen. Definitely suggested for football and cricket matches. No DJ and no loud music so don't go here for music and dance. Let's talk about food, food is ok, no issues from my side. Nothing that stands out and probably all the dishes are good. Working with High Expectations will result in pain 😛😄. And about drinks, most of the time they have Happy Hours on a variety of menu items. So it is pocket-friendly as well. The prices are on the moderate side. Again, no complaints here whatsoever. Cocktail are ok, all of them are good, not strong, not recommended for getting high, just for people who are in the supporting role during the party. 😜 As I said earlier, this definitely a must try the place and you can decide whether it suits you. I think it's definitely a place for people who want a no-nonsense party, like sitting with friends and enjoy drinks discussion or watching a match while sipping your poison. Do give it a try sometime.

Midtown is one of the live performed pub in pune. When i entered , i got very disappointed by seeing the space. They have 2 floor seating arrangement. It can accomodate more than 30 persons at a time. It is a very small pub but big dhamaka. The ambiance is really awesome. I liked it. We took a couple table. Which faced towards the bar counter, which is definitely a big advantage. You will get your drinks faster than light. We started our drinks with starters. We ordered black & white with BBQ hot chicken wings. The combination is really brilliant. The taste of chicken is not upto the mark , they need to cook the chicken for some more time. Jicama is a mexican deep fried potato with mixture of raw spices. The best thing of this place is live performance, which increses the enjoyment of the evenning. Those two guys are singing very well and they hold the whole floor crowd with thier magical voice. Then we ordered Egg Noodles, which is better than the starters.

This place is really cool. We went on Wednesday. there was live streaming of Ind vs shriLanka with some good music. this place is lacking with good services, for each item we have to wait for 20 minutes n after many reminders they've served food. We have ordered Pimento chicken - 4/5 but quantity was too less, sanghai chicken - 4/5, chicken sukka kolhapuri- 3/5. Overall food was good, place is small but we enjoyed a lot.

A lovely place to visit. They serve drinks, food and have live music. The ambience is quite great. Food is fine. Drinks also are quite good. There is diversity in the menu. It will be a great experience if the place is crowded. Overall a decent place to visit.

Good location, cozy ambinece and loud music. Tried the Alfredo Pasta, masala fries,chicken popcorn & chicken stroganoff, taste was good definitely worth trying. The only downside was that beer was not served in 3L tower, only pitcher and glass system was available.

A Midweek Experience at Midtown Midtown Bar and Lounge recently held a bloggers table so me and a handful other bloggers headed there one evening to check them out. Taking a minute to talk about the ambiance, the owners at Midtown wanted to recreate the style of a New York Bar/Lounge however it felt a little too dark and dingy for me. While I am all for dim lights to create a better ambiance, it should be bright enough to read the menu and at least see what you are eating. The music too felt too loud. So much so, that we had to literally shout to attempt conversing with friends sitting next to us. Cocktail There were a few cocktails doing the rounds of the table. Tried a few that my fellow bloggers had ordered but none of them came close to my order of the Achari Pyaalaa [Rs. 299] which had a lovely hit of the pickle in every sip. #YumYum However there was a lot of delay in getting the cocktails served, it was nearly end of the appetizers when I could finally get hold of my drink, after a few reminders. Salads The salads at Midtown were quite disappointing. The Watermelon Beetroot Feta Salad had minimal cheese and tasted sour while the taste of the Caesar Chicken Salad [Rs. 249] felt a little off. Appetizers The appetizers were an equal mix of vegetarian and chicken dishes. The Shanghai Veg. [Rs. 229] tasted good so did the Kothimbir Wadi [Rs. 229]. The Cheesy Corn Balls [Rs. 249] too were gooey and cheesy just as expected. However the Grilled Chicken was tasteless while the Chicken Sukka Kolhapuri [Rs. 299] was just about decent. Tequila Chicken Kebab [Rs. 379] was a revelation, quite delicious overall but some pieces at the ends were a tad under. Midtown really needs to improve their service. No, I'm not talking about paying more attention to us. But it would be helpful if the servers knew the names of the cocktails and dishes without having to go ask the chef every time. Mains By the time the mains rolled in, I was pretty disappointed with the entire experience so far. So only opted to try a couple of dishes. The Paneer 65 was dry [the paneer, not the 65] while the Grilled Prawns were undercooked and over salty. Thankfully the Veg. Stroganoff [Rs. 329] was a life saver. Absolute comfort food. #DeliciousDelicious Dessert The lone dessert served was an extremely dry and crumbly Chocolate Brownie. Every poke of the spoon resulted in more crumbs than bite and the sugar had crystallized which was very off-putting. Midtown has some good offers on their beers, IMFLs and cocktails; however in my opinion, they should take a long and hard look at their dishes where I feel there is a lot of room for improvement.

Fries were good ,pizza was okay . I did not enjoy this place that much. Very dark place at night didn't really like the vibe. Also the waiters are clueless and place wrong order some times. No fast service at all we were waiting for food for almost one hour .Later on when we were out of patience we canceled the order paid the bill and left the place

I have no idea why this restaurant has 3+ ratings. Its not even worth of one star. We thought of trying a non veg platter but the waiter told us that they have only 4 dishes in starter..seriously which restaurant would offer such service on saturday night..then we ordered chicken popcorn which was tasteless and cold..and the gap between getting all orders was of 20 min 😡😡..we were so disappointed that we moved to main course and ordered chicken biryani...oh boy it was like the shef has bought rice from his home and added 4 days old boiled chicken pieces into it...I don’t think that i am gonna eat chicken biryani in my life again..thanks midtown for spoiling my biryani test 👍🏻...staff was rude, unaware of the dishes, uneducated and what not..!! Would never recommend this restaurant to anyone...!!

We came here for a team party with 17 persons.The staff was so rude and slow. Thew even misbehaved with my team members.Most of the options in the menu card wasn't available for food options. The only genuine person was owner Prashant who was not available at the restaurant and was trying to coordinate from phone and make things better but it appeared his staff was not listening to him as well.The service was so bad that my team didnt have dinner.We only had starters and left the place.<br/>I will recommend never dare to come to this place for a party.

Complete cheaters and the biggest frauds who serve drinks!!!<br/>I'd been to Midtown once, 6 months back. They had a live singing gig and we loved the vibes, plus their special Nachos to be honest, hence I went back about 3 or 4 weeks back on a Saturday with a group of friends due to an offer on a restaurant reservation app. I had to pay the app like 50 bucks per person to get 50% discount the alcohol bill and we were 4 people going out for a celebration so I paid 200 accordingly so it could be discounted for the entire gang.<br/>We SPECIFICALLY confirmed BEFORE SITTING, showing them the reservation for which we had paid already, and the manager confirmed that we'll get 50% off on our total Liquor bill. We then ordered 2 plates of their special Nachos and drinks enough to last for 4 hours and danced like hell. By 1/2 an hour to the closing time when we ordered another round of drinks they said they were out of our order-specific liquor(s) so we asked for the bill and that was 100% of the menu amount for every damn thing!<br/>We talked to the manager about the reservation and his pre-confirmation and he simply denied and asked us to pay the entire bill. We mentioned about coming here before and their chance of losing a loyal customer losing because of such cheating via fraudulent, false promises, so he offered us a mug of beer complimentary saying that he cannot give us 50% off on the liquor bill since it was TOO MUCH TO ASK and can give us free beer worth 2 mugs! This pissed me real bad and I literally threw in extra cash apart from the total bill as a TIP for "being rude" with returning customers.<br/>The Management here needs to stop being GOLD DIGGERs else this place is gonna close soon!<br/>What a crappy weekend getaway it was! Trust me, I could have sued them for making such lame excuses after giving out an offer PUBLICLY and not being able to afford the same, but MIDTOWN? You are just not worth my frikkin' time, okay? Nor as a customer neither as a hater. It's not how much money I threw in but about how falsely they're running a FRAUD business that completely relies on staff behaviour and customer treatment+trust. This place has some crazy Bollywood music everyday with amazing 1+1 Happy hours, live acoustic shows on Saturdays, and oh do not miss amazing lunch buffets starting just at 299!! What more can u ask for? ;)

Pathetic experience, there was some private party going on when we visited there and those guys were out of control. Pieces of glasses and drinks were shattered all over and management were doing nothing. Drunk guys were misbehaving but management didn't bother at all. Plus the quality of food was below average. The worst part was the washrooms, it was so unhygienic. .. guys I would strongly suggest to avoid this place

They took 10% charge, didn't ask before billing. Only 3 types of beer were available. I saw one rat running from one of rope fitted to the roof. I had very bad experience.

A tell tale of midtown when she went their for tasting some good food and wine n dine with her friends SCOOBY DOO ,BUGS BUNNY &SNOOPY.<br/><br/>Moshezz recommends this place for a night out with your friends. The ambience and the foot tapping music will make you hapy for sure especially when your friendky neighbourhood spidey….oopsie daisy I mean your happy bartender Nitin creates some magic to pour in the glasses. Sip sip glug glug and the drinks will get to you nice and smooth.<br/><br/>Moshezz was happy with the cool mocktail..yah u read it right …she was offered. She had a Cranberry Cooler which was teamed up well with peach and cranberry with the zest of lemon. Nice one for a teetotaler. The next appestiser and the star of the day was the BUTTER GARLIC PRAWNS. This one was a chefy delight laid out at the table. The prawns were tossed well in the butter garlic and it did leave a smile on the faces of Scooby Snoopy &Bugs bunny. They loved it and were ready to excuse the slothful service fot this one. You are pardoneed if food if finger licking…it did route out its way to the heart of the three and it was a winsome threesome …ahem…afterall good food is foodgasmic. The groovy music got her more greedy and she wanted to eat some good food when the senses were slurrled not by the drinks but the butter garlic. In came the CHETTINAD FISH CURRY. If you go by the name and try to find anything close to the chettinad taste ..well wel well you will be disappointed but if yoy don’t understand chettinad and the aroma and the taste of good food is what matters to you..then you will suely be dlighted. This one was a well flavoured curry which would do good after adrink or tow with some steamed rice. A morsel of rice and this curry which was rich in flavours can fill your stomach with happygasm. So no chettinad for sure but defiitely a good fish curry. The basa was done justice too.<br/><br/>The KERALA STYLE PRAWN CURRY was again a good prawn curry but nothing from the coastal belt of Kerala. It was quiet close to a thai curry but far away from the malabar coast. The crispy flaky parathas were drfinitely awesome kerala parathas…too good to stop at one. It went well with the curry and Moshezz licked her paws still there was nothing left in them. She love the parathas and the curry dunked taste .<br/><br/>Moshezz had to rush out so she missed out on the gulab jamun and ice cream but was stomach full and the rains made her feel happy. She loved he monsoons. All she had to say was Midtown is a happy place and needs a little touch up here and there to becoms the wannabe babe in town. This place is dirty. The chairs have cusions seats which is filthy and sticky. The bar looks shady. Food is not fresh. The mexican beans on salsa was freezing cold and mushroom was smelling. After the food was served, we had to wait for the plates and spoons. Finally had to ask the staff which is again a different problem as there are hardly any people available. Beer is a scam there. The staff has their own party over the bar and was ignorant about the customers. The DJ had put some workout remix and the same music was being played throughout the time I was there. A big NO for this this place.

It has a good menu with a variety of finger food and alcohol. When we visited, they also had Hopper, the new belgian beer in town on their menu! But we felt the music to be too loud which made it very difficult to have a conversation. Also the dance floor was too crowded and people seemed to be a little bit too drunk, which did not give out a good aura.

Drinks were good. Food was just OK. Hospitality was just OK. Servings time for both food and drinks was too long. Staff was taking a lot of time to respond, seems they were confused. Ambience was amazing.

They have put up a good ambience and theme in the lounge.<br/><br/>Drinks are pretty expensive here and using Zomato Gold may make it more economic.<br/><br/>They have their own live performers who sings, plays guitar and plays drum. They only problem here is the choice of music they play.<br/>On a saturday night, live performer was singing Arijit Singh and other emotional songs. And he just wouldn't change the genre or play a happy song. They know how to spoil the saturday party mood you may have.

This place is very happening. You enjoy live band performances which are really marvellous. We had mocktails here. The pina colada was really nice and refreshing. Berry mojito was also good to have.<br/><br/>We had a good time there. They have live screening of matches and have an nice ambience.

I heard a lot of people saying good things about Midtown,Vimannagar But seriously it's not just to say it. Worst worst worst place ever.<br/>They don't acknowledge any dineout offers. 1+1 on drinks is only on cocktails . Are you kidding me ? 1+1 on food, you get 2 plates for any items you orde, not that you can order 2 different plates an day for the higher priced plate.<br/>We still went ahead and ordered. The beer was not chilled. The fries were soggy and soft, not crunchy at all.<br/>We just left after all of this nonsense and had dosa from a nearby food joint .<br/>

This place definitely deserves 5 stars on all frontiers be it taste of food, drinks, presentation of food, songs. On our day of visit there was live performance of Kishore kumar, Arijit Singh’s and 90s songs; it couldn’t get any better.<br/><br/>Food: we ordered 2 starters and 2 main course (all non veg). portion size was good, taste was decent. Food menu isn’t huge but satisfies the purpose. Presentation was good.<br/>Drink: we ordered 5 different cocktails and were served in the appropriate glasses/jars. Midtown matka, Banarasi pan, kala khatta martini, Peru pyala , imli Jharia, each one was good and was different from mainstream cocktails. Presentation was extraordinary. <br/>Ambience: good lively crowd. Live performance stole the show. Songs played were mere favourites. Thoroughly enjoyed every moment.<br/>Service: Service was good.<br/>Would definitely revisit and recommend to my friends!

Went to this place unplanned on a Sunday evening and surprisingly got to witness a nice live music.<br/>The singer was very enthusiastic to entertain the audience.<br/>Place is nice and serves good variety drinks.<br/><br/>Liked it. Looking forward to visit again to witness more such events.
