Review Piatto Dessert Studio - Pune

Jesal Sampat
Our go to place every Sunday evening for coffee and then we also sometimes end up having supper! By far the best coffee in Pune, and the most friendly Chef who will make you feel good with his food! Of course the place is well known for its Gelatos, sorbets and dessert variety, Chef Smarn also does customised cakes. What I usually order / my recommendations: - Picolatte / Cortado / Mocha - Korean Garlic Bread (love it) - Croissant / Doughnut - Potato Wedges - Cheese / Mushroom Panini Sandwich - Spaghetti Aglio Olio (my fav) - Roasted Pumpkin Risotto / Soup - Of course Black Forest Gelato Pro-Tip: Pre-order your Tiramisu tin, share with your loved ones, and thank me later!

Piatto Dessert Studio is an unique Cafe serving a variety of Italian delicacies, desserts, cakes, and pastries, hot and cold beverages. The interior is stylish & modern with a food display at the center. Cafe is run by an alumni of Le Cordon Bleu Australia, The owner is passionate about food. A desert studio where a lot of R & D is done and the Menu is changed regularly. Service is excellent. We asked the person at the cafe to select the menu for us and we were happy, we did that. Ordered Roasted veggies sandwich, pink sauce pasta, Korean garlic bread, Hazelnut Gelato, Biscoff Cheese & Lime berry cheese cake. Each item was unique and tasty. We had an unique and awesome food experience. Limited parking is available at the basement, not to get disappointed, we suggest using a taxi or delivery or take away during peak hours. Full marks for ambience, food and service. Average cost Rs 1200 per person.

Been here a few times. The ambience is average but the food and service is good. The staff are welcoming. The tase of most of the desserts are a 10/10. usually you'll find it not crowded. The prices are definitely on the higher size for the portion size.

Visited this place for lunch. Not disappointed even a bit. The sandwiches were fresh and sauces in it were just amazing. Had a coffee with it, amazing. Got a dessert for take away, it was a cherry on the cake. Ambiance: 10/10. Service 10/10. Taste 10/10

Exceptional Entremets!💫 Immensely impressed on my visit to PIATTO, serene ambiance and a courteous team with the finest service. A place best for a day out with friends or even when heading out alone for a good time. Undoubtedly the best place to find unparalleled desserts with a vast spread of options to choose from. Don't miss out on their classic yet unique *Macaroons *The comforting Aztec hot chocolate *The Mocha *The caramel popcorn cheesecake. Appreciate the ideas chef Smaran implies in curating these delicacies. 💯 All in all an amazing experience, looking forward to try out the savouries at this spot! OCT/2019.

One of its kind dessert studio. They have some really beautiful and unusual Macarons. The desserts are classy and delicious. One of the best seller is opera. I tried the grilled sandwich, Peach Tea and Opera. Everything was superb! Slightly on the steep pricing but food is qually worth. Must visit.

Restaurant Name : Piatto Dessert Studio Address : 5A, Hermes Waves, Kalyani Nagar, Pune, Maharashtra 411006 I have been to this place quiet a few times, but generally I would only go their for their Desserts. This time we went there for a late lunch. Food we ordered : 1. Ham and cheese Sandwich : Crispy buttered bread, melt in mouth Ham and cheese 2. Chicken schnitzel Sandwich : Crispy bread with a crispier chicken filling, tangy and tasy Cole slaw. 3. Cheesecake: My all time favorite from their Menu. 4. Dark Chocolate Delicacy: For all the Dark chocolate fans, this is a MUST ! 5. Paan Macaroon, Sea salt and Caramel Macaroon: I had the Sea salt caramel which is my usual choice in Macaroons. My wife had the Paan Macaroon, both were perfect ! 6. Hot Chocolate: They have a 55% Dark chocolate Hot chocolate. It was yumm! In addition to that we just tasted (not ordered) a few Sorbets and Gelatos I loved the Jamun and Peru Sorbet. And Hazelnut Gelato was my favorite ! All and all a good place , staff is enthusiastic to explain you the dishes and the dessert collection they have.

The name itself stands out and makes u even without visiting it feel itl be great... Its an italian word which means a dish or a delicacy... This place is super classy right from the interior to the tables ..to the chairs... Its designed very consciously with lots of attention and makes u feel youre at an amazing place.... The deserts are amazing definitely worth trying and i bet you wouldnt just try but revisit. I tasted the cheese cake and the raspberry pastry.... Its taste is as lavish and royal it can get....seldom would you feel any desert is royal... But this one stands exceptional and would make u feel royal while having it. Definitely should give it a try and cherish the taste.

One of the best local dessert places in Pune. Discovered this place recently whilst searching for patisseries in Pune. I bought a few different desserts to bring over to a friends lunch gathering. No doubt they looked gorgeous and exudes craftsmanship. However tasted OK, albeit I wonder if it would taste better if we had it at the cafe because the texture and flavour wasn’t outstanding compared to the look of it. It reminds me of Koi Dessert Bar in Australia (the founder and a former MasterChef - revered as dessert king). Piatto desserts are definitely more reasonably priced! I would love to dine in and try the food and all the desserts one day!

This place is a must visit for foodies with a sweet tooth! They have a lot of varieties. The staff is courteous and keen to help the customers make a proper choice. The taste pallet available here is unparalleled! I tried the Dark Chocolate, Mocha and Salted Virine. The taste lasts far longer than your stay here. They have a large variety of drinks available as well. The cappuccino is must try. The ambience is great. The lights and the decorations have been designed in a way to elevate the customers experience. The attention to minute details is delightful. The serving plates are refrigerated to keep them cool. This let's the desserts stay cooler for a far longer time. That's a charm. It's located just behind Aga Khan Palace. Do visit!

In the by-lanes of Kalyani Nagar – there is a Dessert Studio named Piatto, which is a hidden gem. Piatto in Italian means plates and plates is what makes up the interiors of this simple yet elegantly done place. Every table has its own space and privacy maintained. It is actually a studio, a visual delight both in terms of interiors and food. When you enter you are greeted with smile from Chef Smaran (the man behind this place is humble and knows the art of making amazing desserts) and colorfully glazed desserts and different variants of macroons. Desserts are their speciality but some savoury delights are available too and we started with Pickled Beetroot and cottage cheese salad. Fresh beetroot given a pickley taste using vinegar, lots of fresh cottage cheese, assorted greens, a bit of finely diced apples and roasted nuts in balsamic dressing. We loved it and wiped off the bowl in minutes. Cheesy Mushroom Sandwich was devoured next. Mushroom was of very good quality – rarely get this when we go out and loved the white sauce. I highly recommend this!! We also tried Vietnamese Cold Coffee and Salted Caramel Shake. Salted Caramel shake was a delight, subtle salty flavor in caramel was something different and did appeal to my tastebuds. Vietnamese coffee was also good, try it if you like strong coffee. Coming to desserts – they are a delight to your eyes. And when you start eating them – they revive all your senses!! Amazing taste. All their chocolate desserts are made with couverture chocolate. Coverture chocolate is a high-quality chocolate that contains a high percentage of cocoa butter (32-40%) than baking or compound chocolates. This additional cocoa butter gives the chocolate more sheen, firm snap when broken and a creamy flavor. Cocoa fats are good for health. It is this chocolate that doctors refer to when they say "chocolates are good for heart". Opera is a French cake which the chef had given his own touch and is their signature dish. In originality it is a 7 layered cake but this one has a twist. It is made up of chocolate almond sponge, coffee mousse and 70% crema at the centre. Smaran – The Chef and owner is very passionate about his desserts and is of the opinion that high quality ingredients are a must to come up with great desserts. He proudly boasts that every ingredients that goes in the making of desserts are of high quality and they never use a cheap substitute. Sorbets and Gelatos are a must must try. I loved Jamun and chocolate sorbet. There are other fresh fruit flavors too. Very colorful, without preservatives, no/low fats – amazing qualities for desserts -RELISH without any guilt! Gelatos are available in multiple flavors and they generously offer different flavors to taste and then choose from. After trying all amazing flavors I combined honey & almond gelato with chocolate sorbet and loved it. Macroons are eye-candies, I was quite full but still tried their Paan and Blueberry flavors and both were very good. They have a lot of options to choose from. Great place for people who have sweet tooth. The place uses high quality ingredients and thus the desserts are priced a bit high, but then, good things usually don't come cheap, right?

Excellent cafe. While their cakes are a run away hit, you should certainly come here for some amazing coffee and sandwiches and daily specials. Reminds me of amazing cafes in Melbourne. 🥪☕

Piatto Dessert Studio serves brilliant food. The paneer sandwich was to die for, the English breakfast was amazing, the coffee was strong and excellent, the macarons were rich and gooey from inside. A brilliant cafe holding its ground next to Starbucks and Pizza Hut and opposite German Bakery in Kalyani Nagar. Also used the ₹200 discount voucher received with the PEO card. 5/5 Stars.

One of the best desserts in town I have tasted. They serve fresh and wholesome desserts with new variety. Sandwiches and salads too good with the best bread I have ever had. Great portion size. Value for money. Warm and friendly staff. Beautiful ambience. Located in the heart of Kalyani Nagar this place is giving us new dessert goals. Must try: Macarons, all desserts, hot chocolate, ham and cheese Thank you and all the best guys!

Piatto serves the most amazing desserts i have had up until now. The variety is amazing and macaroons are a must have along with all the new desserts they put up everytime. Sandwich proportions are filling leaving just enough space for a dessert. Rather i would suggest you start off with a dessert and then maybe a sandwich and end with a milkshake or macaroon A reverse menu ordering of sorts! A must visit place!

My love for seeking out passion fruit desserts led to order the 'Tropical Verrine' at Piatto Dessert Studio, Kalyaninagar. The bottom layer of this beautiful dessert comprised of a 'passion fruit and mango curd'. It packed in a strong hit of tartness that had me smacking my lips. The middle layer was a smooth 'coconut caviar' that cut through the acidity of the bottom layer perfectly. My favourite though was the topmost layer of 'salted oats crumb' which complimented and completed the other two layers damn perfectly. On speaking to the chef, I got to know that this creation is inspired by Chef Darren Purches of Masterchef Australia fame. Total damages - ₹260 Satisfaction index - 100%

The best hot chocolate i have had so far! Will surely check in multiple times.

Yummy ya you hear me right . This dessert studio is quite expensive but worth it the taste of those macrons which I had was mind- boggling. Cookie and cream gelato was my main purpose to visit piatto dessert studio at the first place really appreciated the fast service Got served very well and dishes were awsm. Still can’t resist the taste of gelato thanks to pune foodie who suggested me to visit this place 🙏🏻

One of the best places in Pune for Paninis. Their vegetarian options and non veg option are excellent. The chef is a lovely person who interacts with all the customers.
My favorite is the mushroom and cheese Panini. The deserts and home made ice creams are mind-blowing.
It's a small,sweet elegant place.

I tried out the cottage cheese sandwich (can't recall the exact name) and it was delicious.

I then tried the nutty chocolate and the mango cheesecake. Both were heavenly.
The spoon just slides so smoothly through the mango cheesecake, was indeed a delight to have.

I'd recommend visiting during the first half of the day so that you don't miss out on the heavenly desserts as they get sold soon.

Service time is about 10 mins. The staff here are polite and courteous. Parking isn't much of an issue.
The Hungry Paowala
We tried their macaroons which were really good and also tried the chocolate nutty pastry ... Cute place and nice staff... Would have loved few more options but I guess we were late coz most of it was over

I would say 3.5 stars. I ordered 2 desserts via zomato. I sampled the highly rated intense dark chocolate and caramel cheesecake. The dark chocolate was better but not indulging. The caramel cheesecake was too sweet and just the flavors didn't come together as i had imagined it.

Definitely expensive ar 266 per dessert :(

A place where you can have the best of sandwiches and coffee. Staff is extremely courteous. A good place to spend your evening. Had the Cuban sandwich which really good.

Throwback to awesomely plated, mouthwatering and delicious Lunch that we had last Saturday at this cosy lil #DessertStudio that not only serves some delicious desserts but have a short but powerful #Savoury dishes.

While we tried 4-5 items, it did not put huge dent in our pocket considering the quality they maintain and serve.

What we tried :

1) Eggs Benedict (both Chicken and Pork options are good)

2) Roast Chicken Sandwich

3) Salted caramel milkshake

4) Mango sorbet

5) last but not the least some finest macaroons.

To sum up my review : Food, Ambience, Quality and Quantity was top notch.

Looking forward to coming back soon to try other options.
Devyani Mane
Loved the chocolate gelato. The almond gelato is also delicious. Rare to find such gelatos in Pune. Too bad didn’t get to try other delicacies but will definitely try soon.

It was a very good experience at piatto, we had four cheeso sandwich, creamy mushroom sandwich & both were too good in taste. It has one of the finest desserts to offer, we simply loved the macroons specially the Paan flavored which we hadn't had anywhere in Pune.
If you are looking for a dessert plave in Kalyani Nagar you can head to Piatto without thinking much.
Dhruv Sanghvi
By far one of the best places in Pune for your sweet tooth cravings .
Chef Smaran who is also the owner does right justice to Macroons ,artisanal pastries & Gelatos .
The Pan Macroon was something very exciting and I ended up wanting more and the signature Opera pastry is certainly Chef”s signature dessert .
During one of my visits I got a chance to eat freshly made French Vanilla Gelato & Almond Praline Gelato . I didn’t know that this is how a vanilla Ice Cream should taste like .
If you’re a foodie this place should be on your bucket list .
Make your day with mouth watering desserts at #PiattoDesertStudio in kalyani nagar. They also have wide range of gelatos which are healthy with zero preservatives and DELICIOUS.

Piatto is a place which serves wide variety of deserts right from macaroons to ice cream to cakes.
The macaroons were pretty decent . They have many flavours- passion fruit, paan, raspberry, sea salt, chocolate, banoffee.
We also had dark chocolate cake, vanilla caramel ice cream and jamun sorbet.
The dark chocolate cake was decadent and is crafted to perfection.

The desert café has a very nice ambience. As the name suggests (piatto is an Italian word for plates) is decorated with plates.

This place is over priced though. The portion they serve for the price they charge is too less.

This place is worth giving a try!

Piatto Dessert Studio - Kalyani Nagar.

So this place was on my mind for a lot of time. I
Visited it for breakfast.
Tried the Watermelon Mint Mojito and the Full English breakfast. The full English breakfast consists of 2 eggs (You can get them cooked in any style, as per your preferences), tomatoes, bacon, potatoes, beans in gravy.

It's a good place to spend some time.
The best part here is that the prices are inclusive of GST and they do not levy any service charges at all.
Aditi Sawant
Absolutely love this place for its food, ambience and desserts ofcourse ! And the owner is also a very knowledgeable and humble person. The Cuban is a must-have here. And all the desserts are to die for. Keep up the great work ! :)

Incredible array of desserts that are different from anywhere else in Pune. Great taste and texture to everything that we tried. Gelato made from scratch gets a special mention! Chef Smaran is a maestro at what he does. Highly recommended!

A full-5 for this amazing dessert parlour in Kalyani Nagar. Piatto, meaning a dish or a plate, serves mouth-watering pastries and macaroons in plates of different sizes, colours and patterns.
I had a Raspberry pastry which is a must try! The macaroons taste different than usual, but a good different.
A spacious and warm ambience definitely makes it worth visiting for any dessert lover.
Sheba Kurian
I got a chance to try the desserts from here.
I tried around 6 macroons and all of them tasted absolutely fantastic.
The dark chocolate cake is like a piece of heaven. It was a gastronomic bliss. One of the best desserts I have tasted so far in pune
I am definitely gonna try a lot more of their desserts from here.
Ashlesha Swaminathan
Gelatos are delicious! The deserts are unique although slightly on the expensive side. Good music, very clean and super courteous staff. Hope to visit again soon!

Piatto Dessert Studio cafe
This place is located in Kalyani nagar. Had gone with my family. We had raspberry chocolate, nutty chocolate, gelato. It was very tasty and fresh but the prices were little bit high. They had limited veg options and they should increase their variety. Would like to visit again.

#ForPeopleWhoHateLongPosts
#FewWordsWorthGold
#BonneBouché

Piatto Desserts & Studio - Remember the name & you shall, forever, till you push up the daisies.

* Desserts par excellence
* Savories sans pareil
* Experience unexperienced

Piatto is all 'Sweet Dreams' coming true. Go treat yourself today, waiting for Christmas is so passé !!!

P.S. : Scroll down to the pics and know why I am saying so. If you still have doubts, take the pain of reading through the critique.

#LongPostHatersMayStopReadingHere
________________________________________

#ExtremelyLongPostAlert
#BecauseSomeStoriesNeedToBeTold
#EveryDessertHereIsOeuvreDeArt

Piatto; A watershed phenomena in Pune's Dessert and Cafe Sphere. Why I am saying so, you would know as the post unfurls.

As the hashtag says 'Every Dessert here is a Work of Art'. Well, allow me to quote "Art is a 'Mental Fart' for those who do not understand it; Futile for most, Banal for some and Tortuous for others' !!!

The purpose of this long post is an incredible story waiting to be told; Art that needs a craft of words to reach out to masses. Just an elfin effort to smashbreak the perceptions built out of usual blinders that we have grown up with; Price, Quantity and What meets the eye !!!

*Who is Piatto ?*

Piatto = An Inevitable Dream × (Love for Food + Passion for Cooking)

Piatto is a dream child conceived and delivered by 'Chef Patron Smaran Shetty', an alumnus of prestigious 'Le Cordon Bleu, Sydney'. In the light of his cosmic love for food confluencing with his unearthly passion for cooking, the labour of it couldn't have been more exquisite than the place 'Piatto' is.

Smaran is not only a LCB Alumni but his canvas also has strokes of experience from the Patisserie Geniuses like Darren Purchese (Chief Curator, Burch & Purchese Sweet Studio/ Masterchef Australia Judge) & Donato Toce (Head Chef & Partner, Gelato Messina). Despite being in a happy space (Handsome Perks + Globetrotting at will + Sharing the Kitchen with his mentors), he never gave up on his dream to come back and start a place of his own which will have him as the Poster Boy; the Protagonist of his own Story.

*Why Piatto ?*

Its as easy as its complex. Confused ?

Let me enlighten you:

🔹 Everything that makes to the serving plate here is completely made inhouse; From breads to sauces to the preserves to the sorbets. NO PRE-MIXES !!!

🔹 No Artificial Taste Enhancers, No Preservatives; Only organic products procured directly from the source. For example, Raspberries from Denmark, Calebaut Chocolate from Belgium Coffee from the Estates of Coorg. The fruits and local produces that make it to Piatto Kitchen are completely organic too.

🔹 Desserts/ Breads are unhealthy; Its a myth busted at Piatto. The dessert bases are made of Ragi & Oats. Sugar levels are kept optimum not to make it cloyingly sweet. Breads; Ciabatta, Sourdough or the Baguette, everything is either multigrain or made of flaky wheat. It is Vegan Friendly too as no dairy products are used in making it. The normal flour wherever required is replaced by Almond Flour.

*What Does Piatto Offer ?*

Dessert Studio, a concept which is a rage all across Europe; A place that is completely dedicated to the Sweet Treats. That is how Piatto was conceived, however the realities of trade in India struck and the place had a 'Cafe' added to its name. A move that did not belittle the original concept of a 'Dessert Prime' place but only added to an wholesome experience that this place has on offer. All day breakfast, smoothies & shakes, savories and a host of tea/coffee options is what Piatto not only offers but excels at; Everything of it I say, and I have never been truer to my word than this before.

What I Tried:

🔸 Savories:

Roast Chicken Sandwich - Umami tsunami on palate with tremendous balance of distinct flavours from Caramelized Onion, Jalapeno and Curry Flavoured Yoghurt. Whole Wheat Ciabatta used in it is a treat itself on its own.

Cuban Sandwich - Whole wheat brown bread done up to an earth shattering crunch with Smoked Ham, Roasted Pork and Dill Pickle at its heart; A literal smack of piquancy on the tastebuds !!!

Creamy Mushroom Sandwich - If the meat savories were robustly flavourful on the tip, this one exploded aloud, all but deftly. WoW, I just can't get over this creamy, cheesy delight !!!

🔸 Beverages:

Hulk Smoothie - With Endgame creating waves, this has to be the Flavour of the season, without an iota of doubt. An appearance that could be putting off for the most of us who do not believe in going green when it comes to our food. Just a whiff of it and the fragrance of banana hits your nose right off the bat neutralizing any apprehensions that you may have about it being yuckily veggie. Strong flavours of rocket and spinach balanced by the creamy banana; this is one Hulk Smash I tell you !!!

Viatnamese Coffee - Known as Cà Phê đá globally, this one at Piatto is a fine balance of bitter Viatnamese Roast and the Creamy Condensed Milk. Delightful Brew !!!

Elderflower Mojito: This one at Piatto is a rare exception where the elderflower syrup is used to give the usual mojito a twist. Refreshes you to the soul on a hot sunny day, try it to believe it !!!

🔸 Desserts:

Opera - Piatto's Opera is not a Control C + Control V of the Classic Opera. While the name is indicative of the flavours, Chef Smaran has inverted the usual Bitter Coffee & Sweet Chocolate to Bitter Chocolate & Sweet Coffee. Bitterness from Calebaut is balanced by the fruity tones of Arabica. This is Chef's Signature Dessert, don't you dare miss it when you are at Piatto.

Tropical Verrine - This has unimaginable flavours; Sour Passionfruit, Sweet Creamy Coconut and Salted Oats all layered in a way to render their individual flavours and not overpower the other core components. This one straight from the house of Burch & Purchese Sweet Studio, Chef Darren Purchese's Signature Dessert.

Dark Chocolate - 70% Dark Calebaut; Need I say more. This one is a #MustHave at Piatto, my personal favorite.

Mango Cheesecake - Despite being a Cheesecake, this had a dominant Mango Taste, who is complaining, no one I am sure. One rare place which is not hell bent on using Alphonso to make their desserts and rightly so. While on its own Alphoso is the king of Mangoes but when processed into desserts it has a tendency to develop a sort of unpleasant bitterness, that is what is the depth of thought that has gone into making Desserts at Piatto.

Macaroons - One Word; EPIC. All the 7 flavours had distinct taste profiles and not the mere color difference as is the case usually. The crunch on crust with a mushy center, unbelievable but true. Paan Macaroon is simply phenomenal, my preferred choice amongst all the flavours.

Sorbets & Gelato - I am at loss of words expressing the goodness of the Sorbets here. Creamy and not slushy is how I would define the texture of Sorbets here, aptly sweet and drop dead gorgeous. The fruit flavours; Raspberry, Jamun, Mango and Chilli Peru all are made from the real fruit pulp, no pre-mixes, no essence. All are so good that none can be singled out as the favorite. Vanilla Caramel and Mocha are two Gelatos which shine through; While Vanilla Caramel has the real Vanilla Beans (A darn expensive ingredient) grinded and churned in the sorbet, the Mocha has strong Coffee presence over subtle Chocolate. Smaran's hands on experience with Gelato Messina comes handy here, he can ace these beauties even in his sleep. #OutstandingStuff

This is one place which uses uber modern glazing techniques, hand crafting methods and premium ingredients all at once, so you can be rest assured that you will never be served a sub-par product. As far as quantity of desserts is concerned, don't just go by the looks; the serving size is bound to leave you more than satiated, its a word !!!

Desserts at Pune would never be the same again, this is evolvement of gargantuan proportions; Piatto is indeed a game changer. Go now and be a witness to the Dessert Renaissance !!!

Cheers... Ciao !!!

The place uses high quality ingredients and thus the desserts are priced a bit high, but then, good things usually don't come cheap, right?
Parikshit Solunke
Tasted almost every dessert on the menu, the caramel and paan macarons are insanely good. The cheesecakes were incredible too. Bought the caramel jar which is made here and that is great too. The lighting is in on the brighter side but not too excessive ,sort of uplifting.

Ordered a Five Spice Chicken Sandwich at home.

It had a good amount of filling. Flavour and taste wise I found it okay, not great.

Didn't really get the taste of the ingredients that were described. No garlic aioli taste.

Quantity was good though. Taste wise not worth the money.

Won't be having again.

I rarely rate any place 5 but this place deserves just all of it. Such a lovely cafe situated in the midst of Kalyaninagar. If you haven't visited this place yet, make it your next.

Ambiance- Extremely classy and very different than the usual ambiance of cafes. Tastefully done up walls and ceiling. The very essence will remind you of some posh cafe in France or London. The AC was on full blast and contradicting the actual temperature of Pune at the moment, it was really cool inside. 4/5

Service- Quick and no qualms. 4/5

Food- This place has an array of sandwiches, coffee, pastries and smoothies. We tried the following-:

Salted Caramel Shake- OO La La! Loved this one. I am a fan of caramel and this is the perfect shake for a caramel lover. Poured into a typical milkshake glass; this one is a blast of flavors in the mouth. Do try it. Had an amazing toffee flavour. #MustTry. 5/5

Coffee- It was the usual coffee you get at any good cafe like Barista. Nothing different. 4/5

Will I come here again? Yes, for the smoothies, pastries and sandwiches which are next on my agenda when I come here.

The sandwiches are delicious and flavourful and the English breakfast is worth a try especially the bacon.the star of the menu was obviously the desserts.for someone with a sweet tooth this place offers great treats..the ambience is comfortable and the staff is polite.

I discovered this place about 4-5 months ago and I can’t stop going back for more. Very few places in Pune make the kind of food that’s made at Piatto. Their hazelnut pastry and lemon cheesecake gelato (which they’ve now discontinued) are two of my favourites. I’ve also had the Cuban sandwich which I would definitely recommend. Great coffee, good vibe, incredible desserts. Definitely in my top 5 food places in Pune.

The place which has taken the dessert game in the city to the next level. Beautiful and tastefully done ambience makes it one of the go to dessert studios in Pune. Their sorbets are to die for .....with every bite you realise that they have been made fresh with love. They also serve some world class coffees and sandwiches with ham and cheese being my personal favourite. Coming to the desserts. The moment you look at them you know they have been made by someone who has mastered his craft. Beautiful and appealing to look at and Delectable and mouthwatering to taste. A must must visit place in Pune. Kudos to the Chef....keep up the good work

The dessert weren't that nice. Interior is good though. Not very hard to find as well. Also, they keep cute stationary.
As far as desserts are concerned, there are better places.

Given the rating, I had been wanting to try this place.
One day my stomach was feeling a bit wierd, I ordered Coco Monkey smoothie, which as per their menu description is supposed to have yoghurt, banana and chocolate.
Yoghurt and banana are good for stomach and I obviously didn't want to compromise on quality. I found yoghurt based smoothie only in two restaurants. And I chose Piatto.

What I got was a chocolate banana milkshake.
Now I make choco-banana milkshakes pretty often at home, so 1 sip and I knew what it was.
I also asked my colleague to taste (who btw also happens to be a food blogger) and she also said there was no yoghurt.
I talked to Zomato support, who in turn talked to Piatto, and told me that it was indeed a yogurt based smoothie.

Well to be fair, I made the smoothie myself at home today with a cup of epigamia Greek yoghurt, banana, cocoa powder (added little water and ice cubes). It tasted distinctly different and was much thicker compared to what Piatto sent.

Disappointed and at least the smoothie is not recommended.

Over hyped !!

Headed to the place post dinner to quench my sweet cravings.

They hardly had anything nice. The only dessert that was appealing was a Rasberry Chocolate which was supposed to be a guey rasberry filling in chocolate mousse.

The dessert served had so many issues -
1) The glaze of too over done and was super sticky. It looks all over the place.
2) The mousse crubms were on the glaze. And the chef absolutely didn't have a problem with it. He was like it's edible 😂.
3) The so called Rasberry puree wasn't flowing It was just stuck.

The macaroons were just alright. I have had way better ones in Pune.

Please understand that your customers would have had similar or better desserts in their life. So please up your game.
The best place for macaroons. They r fresh and tastes amazing . The chef is polite and hardworking. It’s great to see quality desserts in India . This place never disappoints me . There’s constantly something new to try here . Keep up!

A Hidden Gem!!A pretty cozy place tucked away in the bylanes of Kalyani Nagar right behind the pizza hut on the main road.Although it's not very easily visible once u visit the place I can assure you will keep visiting this piece of art.Its been the go to place whenever we are this side of town. The desserts here are something out of the world .The opera, tropical verrine ,and cheesecake being some of our favourites. They also serve a variety of sandwiches and salads which shouldn't be given a miss.Their range of gelatos is impeccable and one of the best I've eaten in India .I would say a very underrated place that hasn't got it's due credit.Would also highly recommend their hot chocolate.Location-9/10,Food and Desserts -10/10 Service -9/10.(Would be soon visiting piatto to try their all day breakfast menu which has been trending ) Cheers to Piatto and the team.

Absolutely outstanding. This quaint place in the heart of Kalyani Nagar can easily be missed driving past but once you are in there it’s another thing. The simplistic interiors puts a lot of focus on real heroes of the place, the food. The Cuban sandwich, waffles & a wide range of exciting desserts is what I am geared up to go for the next time I am in town.

Probably I am the first one to give only one star to this place !!! After having read fab reviews esp for desserts , today while at work when I had some cravings for sweet & with this place in my mind for quite some time , I decided to order !
Opera ....!!!! Yeah the classic one , it is difficult to crack this one .... I read the lovely description and ordered via uber eats . Anticipating for the delicious treat for a working Saturday I cudnt concentrate until the dessert arrived. After opening the box at my desk , looking at the portion ( mini size ) my excitement level immediately crashed !!!!! Nevertheless I thought , probably the taste will be good , let’s not judge by the size . Taste wise also it was just okayish , lacked the flavour of coffee , even didn’t have the bitterness of 70% dark chocolate. I have had better opera cake in past at star hotels. Paying 300/- for this mini opera cake is an absolute NO NO for me . I do agree it’s a painstaking effort to create a unique handcrafted dessert , however the portion should atleast be little better to justify for the price . I’ve had much better opera cake at a star hotel in Pune where they serve a decent size ( atleast that of a pastry ) and the price is also justified .

We were looking for some new cafe in kalyani nagar and came across this cafe. Grilled cottage cheese sandwich was great. Although coffee was just fine. Overall, its a good place to hangout.

Fabulous place. Tasty menu. Though I tried just the strawberry sorbet I’m looking forward to trying their desserts and sandwiches as well. The ambience is super classy. Very hygienic. And the person at the counter is very friendly professional and well versed with everything. He made sure to inform me and my friend of the beautiful variety of desserts. Definitely going back there. Kudos !

Great coffee and fantastic Hot Chocolate. i loved the Orange Hot Chocolate. And I would highly recommend the Aztec Hot Chocolate for the winters. Ambience is cosy and quiet. An ideal place for casual meets and long chats. The team serving is also well informed and gives enough info about the food you like to order and helps with recommendations and suggestions as to what else you could try. Friendly staff. Make sure you visit atlest once for the Hot Chocolate.

Coffee and Chocolate macroons are damn tasty. Gelatos are very nice. If you like to try new things, you can try strawberry and chocolate gelato. I even tried fliter coffee and dark chocolate. Both were too good. Macroons disolves in mouth they are too soft.

This is my first visit to a dessert studio and I am impressed. The ambiance and the sight of the desserts as you enter increased my appetite immediately.
The sandwich had flavors in each bite whereas the chickpea dukkah salad was a bit dry.The roast chicken sandwich with the orange hot chocolate was a delicious combination. The orange hot chocolate was not too sweet and just the right consistency.
The Vietnamese coffee took me by surprise. It is a cold coffee but the coffee flavor was heaven. It was well made.
We also ordered the Raspberry heart shaped dessert. The flavour lingered and just melted away.
The staff too was very polite and their hospitality made our visit very comfortable.
Will definitely visit to try the other items they have to offer.

Pune is growing at a tremendous rate when it comes to deserts. Piatto is one of those great places which reflect the flourishing food scene in Pune. First came across this place at the Karen Anand Farmers market, where i went bonkers over the ice cream. Their ice cream flavours are just super yum and super innovative.

The filter coffee ice cream is silky smooth and has a strong coffee flavour. Heaven for coffee lovers! Solkadhi is such a refreshing drink, and one of my favorites as it has a fair bit of coconut. Never thought that solkadhi would make such a great I've cream flavor. My new favorite ice cream right there! Really strong flavor of coconut, and that perfect tangy flavor of solkadhi. Wow! The jambul sorbet was the perfect combo of sour and sweet, with a prominent flavour of jamun. Really good for jamun lovers!

The paan macaron was pretty good, and stronger in flavour as compared to the subtle one at Le Petit. It wasn't as crunchy as the one at Le Plaisir, but was still pretty good.

The coffee, i.e. the espresso was smooth and strong. The lemon tart was perfect, crunchy and sour.

Overall, a must try for desert lovers!
Luqman Shaikh
One of the best place for desserts, sandwiches and coffee!! Absolutely delicious food made with finest quality products. It's a must try cafe in town.

I read somewhere
“Food is an art “ , and if someone wants to experience this visit this place.
Very aptly named dessert studio , yes this has the finest sandwiches, coffee and desserts in and around pune
Today was my first visit where I had ordered cappuccino and sandwiches and finally calling it a day with excellent chocolate dessert
This place bakes it’s own bread and everything is made with natural ingredients, no added color or preservatives
Just wow
If you are in pune then your visit is incomplete without visiting the place
This place will be the clear winner in times to come
Excellent work , keep it up
Kudos to chef cum owner who has put in his heart , soul and years of hard work for this place
All the best , keep up the good work
Toodles

It is a must 'go to place' for dessert lovers I would say, as they have a special variety of mousses to offer you, which would perfectly melt in your mouth. Their Dark chocolate mousse and cheese cake mousse are heavenly.
Along with the desserts, they have a bunch of sandwiches and salads to offer, among which i loved the Roasted chicken sandwich. Grilled cottage cheese sandwich is also a good pick.
With the Nice ambience and very friendly service, here you can enjoy your desserts peacefully😇.

I’m a lover of french desserts and this place didn’t let me down. The gelatos are fresh and the flavours are incredible. I tried the Soul Kadhi flavour and absolutely loved it. Coming to the desserts, they are truly what a french dessert looks and tastes like but a little pricey for the quantity given but I’d definitely visit this place again.

Authentic Taste, quality ingredients, perfect portioning and attention to details all come together when a Chef who knows what he is doing and is also the best at it; the final results are the desserts, food items and beverages served at Piatto.

One of the best place in Pune to have desserts. They have very attractive and tasty pastries. Gelato Ice Creams - they have the authentic taste. Also club sandwiches coffees and alongs. Ambience is sober and calm.
The desserts & gelatos are to die for!!!! They have such unique gelato flavours and it becomes hard to choose just one. The sandwiches are yummy and quite filling as well.

This has some of the best macaroons I have had lately and their coffee could be the perfect start for your day. Had picked up some chocolate dessert from their display on a lazy Sunday morning and it was deliciously smooth.
Update- tried more of their stuff- don’t miss their gelato.

Visited randomly after a working saturday at office. Was just craving for a nice salad n some healthy shakes. We were not disappointed at all. The moment you enter, you are greeted with a beautiful glass display of yummy macaroons and other desserts. We ordered for some barley salad and a 5 spice chicken sandwich along with some shakes. Usually when you try healthy food options at a new place, you are apprehensive because most of the times they are not very appetizing. But the barley salad took me completely by surprise!! Love each n every ingredient... A bowl of barley with a yummy dressing, woody flavour of mushrooms and tang from pomegranate seeds breaking through and a mellow shaving of cheese on top. What's not to like! We decided to try some of the macaroons too.. they are 360 for a box of six and you can mix up flavours of your choice. The salted caramel macaroons were the best I've ever had!!!! It blew me away to say the least!!! Must must must visit!
Moid.tungekar
The most incredible desserts in Pune by far! So much sophistication in the preparation and the flavours can fully satisfy ANYBODY! This is one dessert studio that no one should miss!
Hidden Gem
This place is a sign that Pune's food culture is moving to the next level. A dessert studio and cafe which is absolutely taking the game to another level. Unfortunately we ended up going after dinner so could only try the desserts. The Belgian dark chocolate gelato sandwiched in two "brookies" is enough to satisfy the most ardent chocolate lovers. Also tried he salted caramel shake which was just perfect in every sense. The decor is tastefully done and service is top notch. Cant wait to go back and try their much talked about sandwiches. Kudos to the owner.

Guys its a must visit plase...the dessert is just too good to be true. Although the place is a little small but that doesnt really matter when u have their delicious dessert in front of u. Their dessert combinations r classic...will love to visit again.

Piatto is that place which reminded me to come back here and write a review after a very, very long time. This is definitely an addition to my favorite list of cafés. And the fact that you're being fed by someone who has a degree from Le Cordon Bleu is just overwhelming. So coming to what we ordered and how it tasted:

1. Cheese Sandwich - This sandwich was one of a kind. It had four different types of cheese in an Italian bread along with jalapeños, caramelized onions which adds a sour and sweet flavor to a cheesy sandwich. It had right amount of all the flavours I must say.

2. 55% Dark Hot Chocolate - One of the most simple yet difficult things to make. Not too thick or runny, the consistency was perfect with just enough sweetness to satisfy your craving. I don't know why it tasted a little salty but I'd definitely like to know HOW they did it...because I loved it. Probably they used sea salt in it. I've never had such a good hot chocolate before. A MUST try for all Hot Chocolate lovers out there.

3. Iced Americano - This coffee had some froth on top of the drink. Not too much icy to diltue it, not too much coffee to make it extra bitter, this espresso here will last till the end of your meal and taste just as enjoyable as it did during the first sip.

4. Tropical Verrine - This was a three layer dessert and the bottom layer consisted of passionfruit which was sour and sweet at the same time and so it tasted very much like a sorbet. Middle layer had coconut and sago... Quite weird combination but balancing the sourness of the bottom layer simultaneously. The topmost layer was oats rolled in almond flour giving it a crunchy texture. Also something which we've never tried before. I'd definitely recommend this one.

5. Belgium Dark Chocolate Gelato - Frankly speaking this was good but not the best. Or maybe we were gorged already... 😃

Overall a great place to visit in evenings for snacks and desserts!
With Hitesh Somani

This is a cosy place located in really amazing lane away from all the chaos/traffic!

Well, what can I say! I fell in love!
Everything that I ordered was way too good. Beyond my expectations!

The salad to start with was one of the best that I have had so far. The dark chocolate mousse was top notch!
The spiced hot chocolate was just about the right consistency and the perfect end to cut through the sweetness (not too sweet albeit) of the dark chocolate mousse.

All in all really rejuvenating experience. If you have a sweet tooth, do not give this place a miss!
Nitya Raj
Located next to pizza hut in Kalyaninagar, we tried lemon tart and dark chocolate pastry and they both were not upto the mark. The dark chocolate pastry had a mix of milk chocolate and dark chocolate which spoilt the taste for me. I would not recommend this place for dessert.

Happened to visit this place casually while having a stroll along the streets. And boy i must say, i was highly impressed . Also, a little upset for not having discovered this place a little earlier.

An upscale dessert place with state of art desserts and gelatos. They also happen to serve beverages and some quick bites.

I went there around 5 minutes before their closing time but i was welcomed with such warmth and affection. I was really impressed by the whole experience.

What I ordered:

** Chocolate Mousse : Such intricately made dessert with fine taste and a perfect balance of sweetness . This one is the king for all chocolate lovers

** Cheesecake with a caramel layer : I was so blown by the presentation and the cute looking dessert. The taste too, did not fail to make the mark. Highly highly impressed.

Damage : 500 for 2 desserts

Such a beautiful place. If you love dessert then it’s a perfect place to go. Just had macaroons ( the paan, raspberry, salt and caramel, banofee and chocolate flavoured) . I must tell you the paan and raspberry flavours were just awesome. A happy sweet dessert place to enjoy the sweet cravings.✨
Will definitely visit again to enjoy some more love for my sweet tooth. 💕

Piatto the first dessert studio in Pune area. We tried the pinelime and opera. Pinelime is made of fresh lime, and it's filled with spiced pineapple that is also made fresh, it's a almond dacquoise. Opera is of coffee n chocolate flavoured n it leaves you with very subtle coffee flavour. The cheese sandwich was one of the best I had so far, freshly made Ciabatta bread, soft with crunchy crust with classic version of one of the most wonderful combinations of bread and cheese (4 cheese) imaginable n caramelised Onion. All of these with freshly brewed coffee... perfect Saturday night.
A embellishing new cafe in our side of town.
Got to know about this place from a friend of mine and m glad she told me about this one ❤️
We happened to visit this place finally after a long wait.
The studio is pretty well maintained and has ample space to sit.
The decor is soothing to the eyes.
We were welcomed by a lady and were explained about all the desserts they make which helped us decide on what we would like to order.
This studio reminded me of the song kis kis ko pyar karu 🤣
We were just not able to decide what all to order, but we finally narrowed down on the following for this time
1)55% dark chocolate (hot chocolate)
It was like the perfect bitter and sweet combo and went very well in this cold weather
2) Creamy Mushroom sandwich
This one was the show stopper ❣️
It was the perfect crisp
Every bite of this Sandwich created a stronger appetite for it
Must say Chef Smaran just hit the bulls eye on this one
3)Intense Dark
Could not taste it as it had egg but if we trust what my brother had to say it just soothed his taste buds 😉
4) Cheese Cake
This one was with a hint of orange flavour infused in it
5) this one was the eggless alternative with peanuts infused
It was good and made to perfection

Summery
The place is a must visit for all sweet tooth’s in town.
A big thumbs up to Chef Smaran and team u’ll have nailed it 👍🏻

Can’t wait to visit this place again ❤️
Visited this beautiful dessert parlour in Kalyani Nagar for post-dinner desserts and it was amazing! Unfortunately we were late and most of the desserts were over. However, we tried the gelato ice creams and they were so yummy! We got the cheesecake, raspberry sorbet, filter coffee and milk chocolate flavours, and all of them were super delicious. Even the other flavours tasted really yummy. We would love to try the other desserts, macarons and sandwiches next time as they looked and sounded really good! Will be visiting again soon (:

Ever since I've heard about this place, I've loved it! Every visit to Pune leads me here for some dessert or the other! A lovely place to catch up with friends, Piatto not only serves the best macaroons I've had till date, but also has a fine collection of gelatos. The best part is that the owner is hands-on into the operations of the shop and take great interest in introducing new flavours of gelatos!

Also, their ham and cheese sandwich is one of the best I've had!!!

Must try- coffee, banoffee, dark chocolate and sea salt caramel macarons.

In the gelatos- raspberry sorbet is my personal favourite, followed by their amazing dark chocolate and then the hazlenut and the caramel ones! You have to try all of them though!

Piatto, you've made my dessert dreams come true!!

One small request- try and keep the shop open a little later so that people can actually come for dessert post a late dinner also. At least, they have that option.

If you love desserts ...this is one of the place to be. A lovely ambience and staff at your service. You enter the studio and the desserts make you smile. For people not so attracted to desserts ... There are some great sandwiches, mocktails and coffee to order. They are adding more flavors and sandwiches to there menu every now and then. So keep visiting and you will have a new thing to appreciate ... Cheers team Piatto :) :D

Located in one of my favourite lanes of kalyani nagar, this place is heaven for people with a sweet tooth! As you enter the place, a very subtle aroma of their expresso welcomes you... and an artistic and mouth watering display of desserts wants you to try them all... I was confused so As to what to eat and what not so I ended up eating a lot of things... the opera cake was soooo gooooddddd as I gently placed the spoon on the dessert, it sunk in effortlessly and ... the taste of coffee and chocolate blended so very well..left me wanting some more.... the next crunchy chocolate chunk was the bessstteesssttt , the chocolate was luscious and lavish... the chocolate melted in my mouth leaving the hazelnut to be munched on... and the sea salt caramel macaroon was brilliant... made to perfection and it ended with a tingling of salt on my tongue....
And the raspberry chocolate too was so so soooooooo gooodddddd....
I felt zabardasssttttt after visiting this place... #dilkhushhogaya #piyatoh

Quick review !

Mr. Samaran first off you have a great shop and all of us loved the Gelato indeed.

We tried filter coffee ( if you prefer bitter-y taste) and chocolate (the chunks of cake we discovered, heaven).

Excellent packaging. The quality used for container is very impressive. Also, I like the concept of in-house preparation of every item. Superb.

Looking forward to take good time and try sandwiches with a drink.

Thanks team ! ❤️

Wanted to try this dessert place for a long long time and today finally my wish was fulfilled 😇 This place serves desserts, ice creams, salads, sandwiches. Being confused on which dessert to try I was suggested to go for Opera. It was delectable and very smooth... Just melted as soon as I had it😋 I also ordered the Mint macaroon which had an exquisite taste of mint in the right proportion 😃 Very keen on visiting the place pretty soon to try other desserts too 😅😋
Caution- You might find the place a bit costly based on the sizes of their desserts but this place is a must to visit place 😎

I would have definitely missed this jewel had I not had my son's vaccine due at a clinic adjacent to the Piatto.
Tastefully done place, we were welcomed to a world of desserts, macarons, gelatos and sorbets.
Their macarons were lovely... Each tasted perfect... Flavors I found, dark chocolate, salted caramel, pan, etc.
I was famished and wanted a quick fix... I was treated to a healthy bowl of Barley salad... Fresh lettuce, ham, veggies and barley tossed in vinaigrette - I loved it... ❤️❤️❤️
Moving on their sorbets were wonderful.. Some of the flavors were extremely fresh - Mango was one we tried.
I personally loved their "not the regular" sol kadi... It's an absolute treat to a sol kadi fan like me.

Was just passing by this street since the Google maps took us through that route. That’s when I saw this beautiful dessert place that amused me at once. We were heading for dinner and I just knew I wanted to come here post dinner for desserts.
We walked into Piatto with the hope that they are open and the closing time is not near. We were very lucky on that end, the place was open!

Food:
The first thing that caught my eye was the beautiful looking desserts placed right in front of you as you enter. Unfortunately, there was only 1 option in eggless desserts. For folks who eat egg, their desserts are beautifully crafted. Their macaroons look so damn cute that I even asked them if they could custom make eggless macaroons for me but that’s not quite possible. I took my chances though in asking. :p
The menu is very well thought of and they have tried to make the desserts as guilt free as they can with using all natural ingredients.
We decided to have gelato ice creams then. They have some amazing flavours like Filter coffee, Mango Sorbet, Belgium Dark Chocolate, Cheesecake etc. Lucky for me, all ice creams are eggless! 😋
Being a chocolate lover I went for the Belgium Dark Chocolate. If you love Dark Chocolate, you will lovvvveeee this ice cream. Not very sweet and not too bitter as well, just about perfect!
They have some great salads and sandwiches as well. Also they have some amazing coffee which is a pure south India coffee. I saved that for my next visit.

Ambience:
I love their decor! Minimalism talking maximum. I love how their wall arts have symbols related to baking, like a whisker or a spatula, etc. Its a very nice, bright and happy place to sit and enjoy your meals or desserts.

Staff:
We had a chance to meet the host himself who helped us choose our dessert. He was so down to earth, loved his hospitality. The thing that we liked most about him was his passion to serve the best to his customers. Every food item was curated to perfection. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!

On a quiet tree-lined street in Kalyani Nagar is a modern stylish café with appetizing food and elegant desserts. Having heard about the Piatto Dessert Studio from Chef Taha of Le Flamington, naturally I sought it out.

In a fortnight, I have eaten here four times. On my first visit, I ate a roast chicken sandwich with caramelized onions, jalapenos and curry flecked yogurt. A side salad accompanied the sandwich. This was filling and tasty. I took half home. I drank an iced latté with it that was refreshing considering the scorching weather outside. Then I tried two desserts: the Opera and the Tropical Verrine with mango and passion fruit. The Opera was subtle and creamy inspired by the French original. The verrine had an after taste that was more milky. I would have preferred a more pronounced passion fruit flavour but the chef told me that most Indians were not familiar with this tart fruit so he had to tone it down.

Since that visit, I have had a delectable coffee frappé, a creamy thick strawberry milkshake loaded with berry notes and a Vietnamese cold coffee with condensed milk. All are highly recommended.

The rocket salad is a special favourite. Walnuts, pears and pomegranate seeds add texture and colour to these greens topped with a shower of Parmesan. A balsamic vinaigrette adds depth. On another occasion, I ate it with chicken. Delish! Then I tried the barley salad which is the chef's favourite. This was toothsome.

Save room for dessert!

The cheesecake is exquisite. A first bite and I tasted a rich crème brûlée scented with orange. I was enthralled as each bite was luscious and made my senses sing with pleasure. I told Chef Smaran that I planned to have one every week till the end of my summer vacation.

An array of gelatos and sorbets, some with seasonal flavours that Indians will particularly enjoy (think guava, solkadhi with coconut, kokum, chilli and jamun) will tempt. Colourful macarons are also available to enjoy there or taken home and make attractive gifts.

The space is large and airy with comfortable seating. Colourful pictures devoted to kitchen utensils are unusual and a welcome change from other restaurants. A discrete clean washroom is to the back.

I have fallen in love with Piatto Dessert Studio and am finding any excuse to go there. I tell myself that it's a short walk from the gym and after a strenuous workout a mouthwatering lunch awaits. Tea time treats? A lemon tart would be perfect. Afternoon pick-me-up? A chilled coffee frappé would be just the ticket. Above all, Chef Smaran and his team have beaming smiles and make one feel welcome.

Highly recommended!

The Sweet Spot of Kalyani Nagar.

Iftar time and we went to a mall and binged on sad kebabas and Subs. On the drive back, Insiya saw Piatto, a long time name on her 'pending list' and we stopped to check out the place. The owner cum chef cum server cum host for the evening stood behind his counter and greeted us with a warm smile.

Nestled in the quiet bylanes of Kalyani Nagar makes this place pop out even more. I would not have enjoyed such succulent desserts if this were in a crowded place with a lot of noise. This is like the meditation room for the sweet tooth.
Since it was our first time to this place, Smaran, was kind enough to tell us more about Piatto and help us in deciding what we should take. So, with 3 black coffees and 3 desserts, we made ourselves comfortable on a corner chair. The joint was completely empty (being a weekday and odd timing) and the only sound you could hear was the gentle soothing music playing in the background. Very niche.
The desserts were absolutely yum. We tried the Brownie and, for a lack of a better memory, the red thing and the one with the sugary modak laddus on top.
The Red one was the yummiest of the 3. It just blew my mind away. A MUST TRY. The other 2 desserts were awesome too. (Plaisir finally got some competition). As Smaran further explained the concept behind the sweets, it was surprising as how a lot of the sweets had no added sugar and the sweetness came from the fruits and ingredients itself.

They also serve, Sandwiches and stuff, however, the menu is quiet limited. I would call it a minor speed bump and the only reason why my favorite place (LP) takes 5 stars.

Smaran, you are doing FANTASTIC and you will be seeing me there again & again & again.

Venue - **** (Simple, upscale, very ambient)
Menu - **** (Desserts are fantastic)
Ambience - *** (Mellow music is not my type)
Service - ***** (Smaran was a fantastic host)
Price - ** (A lil expensive for me)
Value for money - **** (worth what we get for the price we pay)

Went to this place with lots of expectations.. After seeing so many posts about this on social media.. There was no one when we entered.. After some time the guy came.. And to our surprise they have kept only 3 desert in display from which we have to choose.. We took raspberry mousse which was overpriced for sure.. Also it was just looking good but the taste was okay.. Can't say delicious 😕 also size was too small.. Didn't feel like having anything else after we tasted this.

Officially the best place for gelato, dessert's and sandwiches in pune. If your looking for a change in the regular dessert's mostly found in pune no need to look further cause Piatto is truly the change and the new kid on the block. A different and unique decadence of hitting the sweet spot. A perfect way to spend a sunday evening with the right amount of calm and perfect balance of sugar and spice with their ambience, menu and dessert section. Thank you for opening up in Pune

Great desserts, great ambience! I especially love the chairs here. Tried Tiramisu, opera and caramel dessert. They are so intelligently made and taste yum. The chef is friendly and takes the time to explain how each dessert is made and what it contains.

Loved the Sorbets; we had the Peru and the peanut butter ones and both were awesome. I also sampled the ‘solkadhi’ flavoured sorbet which is quite a unique flavour that you’ll probably find onoy at this place; it tastes exactly like solkadhi so you’ll love it if you are a fan of this Maharashtrian beverage.
These sorbets were so light on stomach that we went on to try something from their dessert menu as well and chose the heart shaped rasberry chocolate; it’s core is filled with rasberry liquid and I must say we were impressed.
We had a nice chat with the owner as well, as he passionately talked about his creations and explained to us how he makes these healthy by using almond flour etc.
Overall a highly recommended place for desserts :)

Beautiful from the outside. Yummy inside.
Had been really waiting for a chance to be to this place and when I finally got there this place blew my mind. Slightly expensive but worth all the money you shell out. Their desserts are mind blowing.

Coming straight to the point, the desert was modern and it looked heavenly. However it dint taste as good as it looked. The cheese cake needed some originality of its own, the quantity was meagre. The prices are extravagant and the taste was not up to the mark.
The pros would be - the server was really polite and well behaved with a smile. The place was neat and clean and had an wonderful setup!
You all can try it and may be just may be i might be proven wrong!

Piatto is the new dessert place in Pune! I'd seen quite a lot of pictures on Instagram and I got a chance to visit this place last week.

So let's see what I ordered :

1. Seasalt Caramel Cheesecake - The cheesecake was okayish. I somehow didn't like the combination of caramel with a cheesecake. Plus, the cheesecake isn't value for money. I would prefer having my desserts at the other places in the vicinity. Inshort, it's overpriced!

2. Also I picked up a box of macarons for myself and those were pretty decent.

3. Tried their Blueberry Cheesecake Gelato too. The gelato is out of this world. Infact all the flavors are awesome and the guy behind the counter is super sweet and helps you out to choose what's best for you.

There's just one request that I'd like to make to these guys is, please update your menu on zomato. The menu looks incomplete without the pricing plus all the desserts are missing in the menu.

Overall, I found the place okayish.

So will I visit again? Maybe? Or maybe for their gelato(s) only.

#jerlynfoodfanatic
