Restaurant staff faced a test of hospitality catering to 16 friends aged 50+ with different medical limitations & widely different taste preferences. All 16 left smiling, after consuming quite a sizeable breakfast.

Good food but service is bit slow

Food was good. We had vegetarian dishes and taste was nice. Chocolate mousse was awesome. Though they still include service charge on bills.

It does have a royal ambiance. Not a crowded place at all. So one of the places to spend quiet time. Service is good and offers a luxury experience. Food is also decent; both in terms of quality and quantity. Always tried north Indian here. A good place for lunch/dinner in the building after a movie. Naveen Sidhardha

#DinnerTime visited #IndianTies In #Shivajinagar (Hotel E-square ). :) ;). Ambience wise this place was good. When we entered the resto it was empty and was surprised but after some time we could see some public ;) :).Masala Peanuts was nice.We started with Gosht pudina shorba which was very well made with a good taste. In starters we ordered Murg Chingari- Loved the taste, chicken was soft and marinated in beetroot juice with some spicy flavour. For main course we had ordered Deggi Gosht- which had well cooked pieces of mutton with the deggi mirch gravy. This was a bit spicy .+ Tandoor Rotis. Then we ordered the jeera rice and dal makhani .đź‘Ťđź‘Ś.We ended with ordering the desserts - Gooey Brownies & Malai Kulfi which was đź‘Ťđź‘Ś.Quality & Quantity of food was đź‘Ť.Service was OK. :) . .. :)

Great ambience and very good quality of food. I enjoyed the taste of all dishes I ordered. Initially I thought it would be only vegetarian but even non veg delicacies are quite relishing. Staff is nice

A great choice to treat your taste buds while enjoying the serene ambience and subtle music :) prompt and friendly service adds to the list as well.

Awesome place with great ambience. A must visit destination for authentic Indian food that includes south and north Indian cusines. Loved the place.

While staying at the End square hotel, I woke up for my breakfast and walked into Indian Ties. The ambience is inviting and the staff accommodating. The fresh streaks of light invite you to stay. The akuri tasted brilliant, it was spicy with a hint of greens but the texture was clamped and that was a downer. The cheese and ham omlette was perfect. Moist on the inside with ample cheese and ham made it a champion choice. The muffins were soft and tasty. The coffee was rich and aromatic. The desi fare was worth a visit.

One of the best ambience and half point for that..located in the E square building , it has unique dishes on its menu.. I opted for makai shorba abs chicken shorba with mutton platter. The platter comes with. Variety of kebabs and dal makhni with pair of bread.. we followed it with a biriyani and khichdi.. both were tasty and noticeable . Good service and overall surely a very happy meal I had . Prices are on higher side however , if u wish to make some body feel special, take her or him to this place for their ambience

Love the food, love the ambience.
I have been here twice and both the times almost at their closing time. They still welcome you warmly and provide very good service.
The food is authentic indian food. You actually enjoy flavour in every bite.
I strongly recommend dal makhani , and tandoori kumbh (stuffed mushroom).

Watching a movie in the same theater gives you 20% off :D
Enjoy.

My first visit to this place with my friends and had a very bad experiences. The service is very very slow. It took 2 hrs to complete our lunch. Each time they took around 20mins to serve. It was a reunion of friends so time did not matters but seriously they have to improve their service. Food was good.
Aakash Kumar
Food was just amazing though the waiter were bit slow & it took them 45 mins to serve but still the wait was worth for such delicious ~ delectable food.

Best in class non veg dishes with great indian spicy test, the service is very nice as it is expected the location is absolutely fantastic..

I've lived in Pune for a couple of years in the past and had a chance to visit it again few days back. I was staying at the E-Square Hotel and I decided to visit this place for my dinner. I tried their North Indian food and considering my past experiences with Pune restaurants serving North Indian food, I have to say it did taste as a North Indian dish should. No excess of spices and local taste fusion. The place had a nice ambience with water sprinkling on the glass roof and staff was polite as well. Can be visited if you're in this part of the town and wish to dine somewhere elegant.

I'm giving 1/5 just so that there's no 0 or any decimals !. Thought the place was fab ! However the ambience is ok ok ...and the staff is just plain ignorant and arrogant. And the service - sloppy !!!!!!!
Sankalp Nayak
The restaurant is good... they have good north indian and better than most restaurants... i had the galauti kebab... which were absolutely delicious... soft piece of meat... good blend of spices... then we had the chettinadu chicken with butter nan... even that was quite good... it is supposed to be spicy... but it wasnt as spicy... but overall a good restaurant... service and seatings is good... little pricy... but good enough

This place is really good had a very good time the food here is very nice n service is also good 5 out of 5 stars worth it best part is that you get a complimentary dessert so good

I had come here with my colleagues for dinner. Well we were the first to reach at a little before the restaurant opens. However the staff did not ask us to wait and courteously let us in.
We had a chicken starter and a corn patty starter. For the main course we had the birbali kofta. The food was excellent and the quantity was also sizeable for a fine dining restaurant.
I would recommend to try the dishes with the chef's hat beside it in the menu. Basically that the chef's recommendation. I am sure you won't be disappointed.
What I found very strange was the place was empty! I agree it was week night but there was literally no one except us!
Nevertheless, I recommend this place for family dinners, corporate dinners, dates and other occasions on which conversation is more important. The ambience is lovely with an Indian rustic feel. The restaurant has very soft music making it possible to have discussions.

Had an amazing dining experience. Ordered Chicken Tikka Salad & Tikhee Tangdi as starters. Both exquisite. Had garlic naan too. Standard. Quantity of each was decent.
Had choco truffle cake & Tom Tim grob for dessert. The Tom Tim Grob was a disappointment. The truffle, out of the world. Just perfect.
The overall ambience was really impressive. Really worth a visit. & a lot many more after. Great orders Tosha! .
Anup Shokhwal
Very good interiors with very good service and ambiance..
Food was great , try Mushroom Starters and Veg Dish Mirch Makai better then the paneer ones.
NOn veg was also good ,not so satisfactory as described in Menu Card.
Service was good and very sweet ,lovely people.
You get discount on ur vallet parking and movie ticket.
Try Once .
Sanjukta Sengupta
The food is extra ordinarily delicious here. The interiors are so well done with kadhais hanging in one corner of the restaurant, to paintaings that define rural India.
An ideal place for fine dining in the weekends or even mid week!
Ayushi Agarwal
I rate this place a 2.0 only because the food was decent at the best. But the service was so disappointing. I visited Indian Ties recently and I spent at least 50 mins waiting for my starters. What makes it worse, the staff was all in one corner and would not even respond to customers. I don't know how many times I had to go to them personally to make them aware of my requests. I personally wouldn't recommend this place.
Doc Kumawat
Worst service I ever experienced. .. Bad experience with service. Food was ok but due to late service can't enjoy the food... I personally will not come here again
Pranav Mundi
Horrible service .. Place wasn't even full yet waiters choose to stand with their backs to the patrons. Best avoided especially if going with expectation of a nice evening

Had gals party at Indian ties...Nice ambience, good food..Tried both veg and nonveg chef special dishes..it was really good...The dessert was really cool...ordered malai kulfi & it was really awesome...

A great family restaurant! Compact place but is used to its fullest... The food is really incredible! I had tandoori chicken, karwari aloo for starters and they both were delicious! Best tandoori chicken I ve eaten till now! The main course too was really wonderful! Will surely visit again... #yummyinmytummy

Three requirements for a good restaurant : 1. Ambience, 2. Food Quality, 3. Staff. Indian Ties scores very well on this 3 points. Perfect for a family dinner after movie, they have put a perfect family time under one roof.
Sham Waghmare
amazing food, great hospitality and friendly staff. The highlight of the place is the quite ambience in the middle of very noisy place. A great place to go on date for sure.

A delightful and tasteful evening spent with family having Chettinad and Malabar Chicken dishes with rotis and starters veggie and non veggie - plus off course drinks ......,all in all good space to spent with family .
Ayush Mehra
Mutton Biryaani was really amazing. Well cooked. Surely a must try. And also was Chicken kabab. Soup was ok, 1 by 2 was actually had less qty. Rates are high but got cost of 1 movie ticket discounted in the final bill.

I visited this place randomly over the weekend, surprised to see not much of crowd around. The ambience is beautiful giving it a royal yet simple feel. It would take a while to look around and admire as you wait for the food. The service was good, with amazingly satisfying food. Do go with your family and friends for a great and peaceful dinner experience. :)

The ambience is pretty amazing. If looking for a nice quiet place for a family meal, this would be very apt. The taste is rich and ethnic, and the service is up to the mark. Won't see much of crowd here, so the meal can be enjoyed peacefully.
Kapil Shendge
Visited this place yesterday around 8:15, it was shocking that no one was there, only one servant n that's it but one thing for sure they have very unique ambience it's kinda combination of Royal and classy... That Wasn't sure whether it will b good or no.
But I must say service is above average, servants are very sweet n attentive.
Now most important Food, I tried Makkai soup, that was pretty good and unique. Then we tried biryani, must say the Biryani was perfect.....
Snehasish #foodeveloper
The place which is detoriating day by day.visited quite a lot over here and as days are passing by i could see the quality is detoriating easily. Service is slow and not a happy place anymore to have the food
Anbak
I visited this place on a weekday so luckily it wasn't crowded. The ambience is really good. You can sit peacefully and enjoy your meal.
The best part though was the food. All the non vegetarian dishes were yummy. I am not really a big fan of lamb, but even that extremely well cooked and perfectly spiced at Indian ties. They have a good collection of soups and shorbas, most of which are off bit and are good to try.
The keralian chicken which we ordered for main course was hands down the best dish served. The rotis were really good, soft n succulent..
One tip: They have some dishes marked as chef's speciality and I would recommend you to try those.
Sneha Barve Sahasrabudhe
A very nice & cozy place to have dinner.. Food was tasty.. Averagely priced and a great place with quiet ambience with light music.. We had ordered for Sunehri Prawns and Chicken Biryani which was amazing along with Souvenir blanch wine was of perfect temperature ... Service was excellent. I am not writing this review because they give you complimentary dessert if you post a review but because I really njoyed coming to this place with my husband.. Do give a try!

I highly recommend this place. Food is yummy and awesome. Ambience is really good. Good place for the family. Serving is fast. Staff is polite. Must give a try.

We went there just for a family lunch based on zomato reviews. I just wanted to give it a go. Booked through an online service (similar to hungry table) where by we got a 30% off deal on food! (You get the same deal is your gave a movie ticket from e square. They also cover for valet parking charges.) The food was excellent. We started off with Murg tikka platter, Murg kandahari kebab and a subz tandoori platter, lime sodas and soups to accompany these. All of it was fabulously done. Very well cooked chicken, wasn't over cooked at all, succulent and flavourful at the same time. I do not mean to say it was strong on masalas, it was flavoured just right. The veg starter was fantastic too(they had tandoori pineapples on the platter, taste very good!). For the mains we ordered chicken kadhai, malabar chicken curry, veg kadhai, dal tadka, steamed rice, jeera rice and naan bread. First off, excellent butter naans here. Very unique, maybe we are eating naans all wrong, because these were life changing naans. Both the chicken dishes were very well cooked. You must try the malabar chicken curry, Indian authenticity at its best. The rice and dal were simple and well executed, a pleasure to the taste buds. They do serve a few freshly fried crisps (before the mains) and a tiny piece of naan and something similar to a dal makhani with the kebab platters ( I have no clue as to why, and how 8 people should share 1 tiny piece of naan). Food quality is excellent. If you are one of the people (like me) who judge the place by the quality of paneer they serve, you'll be more than happy to go here. The only problem i faced is the long wait between my courses, even when there was hardly anyone there, they took ages to bring out the food!! Maybe aiming for accuracy but speed matters too you know. Other problem being the serving bowls must get bigger, which was pretty evident in one of the other reviews I read.

Ambience is very good, especially during afternoons. Might get a little too bright if it is very sunny outside. The water flowing on the pyramidal glass roof looks beautiful. The place is small though, cozy restaurant I would say. Also, there was hardly anyone there on a Saturday all through lunch time. So it is quite calm as well. Excellent place for family get togethers and even a dinner/lunch party for colleagues. I do not know how a date here would work out though !!

Been there on My wedding Anniversary. However it was one of the pathetic experience we had. Food was Tasteless, Including there speciality starter (some Corn).
I wont suggest anyone to visit this place.

Full marks for ambience. I was here for a quick drink before a movie. I spent a good five minutes looking around. The cocktails were well made and the only starter we ordered murg lasooni tikka was yumm. Any Indian place that gets their kebabs right is a good place. And for me the kebab to be right it needs to be soft with no uncooked extra spices covering it. This was all that and just rightly burnt. You may give it a try.

We went here on Sunday evening sans a movie booking (seems odd doesn’t it) just to try this place out. When we entered the place, surprise surprise, there was virtually no one there, save a table! We were apprehensive! What’s going on? Why is this place vacant on a weekend?

Any how we grabbed a table and noticed the place. It is a nice restaurant with a beautiful décor. There are copper and brass pots hanging with a thread in one corner and paintings where real cloves and cardamom have substituted drawings. It is a facsimile, in terms of space, of the next door Oriental Connexions, so if you’ve been to one you pretty much know the layout of the other. The service was prompt (had to be since we were the only ones ordering) and the attendants responsive. After the initial brouhaha over the vacant tables and our inside jokes we placed the order.

We ordered Hare Moong ke Kebab, Karwari aloo, lasuni murg tikka and a kesari thandai and Fresh Lime soda for the starters. The dishes were served in no time and surprisingly they all exceeded expectations! Moong k kebabs were pretty nice, karwari aloo with their (poppy seed or rava) sprinkle were pretty delicious but the nest was the murg tikka: so tender and juicy that it was totally yum! It must also be said that the various accoutrements with the starters (viz. green chutney, onion, sweet mango chutney [yummmm]) gave a complementary effect to all the starters.

For main course we ordered Dal Tadka, Malabar Chicken Curry and Paneer Khurchan with butter naans, plain naans and roomali rotis.Everything was superb except dal tadka which should have been toor dal but was actually moong with turmeric. Nope not done. Paneer khurchan was yummy but the best dish has to be Malabar Chicken Curry. Now we specifically ordered this since it was a chef specialty and it lived to its name! It was yummy and tasted awesome. I literally have no words to describe it. A slight improvement would have been ordering rice since the gravy is pretty runny, consistent and delicious, but watery. For us, this was the dish of the day. Surprisingly though the place didn’t have proper bows for the dish. So we had two choices: Either to pour the dish directly in our plate and let it be an aggrandized version of the movie 2012 or use the small mini bowls, reminding me of Life of Pi and life in a small boat. We finally had 2 different bowls: a mini bowl and a soufflé bowl in which we eventually had the dish.

Overall:
Food: 4/5
Accessibility: 3.5/5
Service: 4/5
Ambiance: 4/5
Overall Experience: 4/5
Delicacy to try: Oh, Malabar Chicken Curry by an long shot
My $0.02 to the restaurant: Perhaps slightly appropriate sized bowls for curry based dishes?
Sujay
It was a quick takeaway post the movie Friday evening. To be fair and start with a positive the Malabar chicken curry was nicely done with nice soft pieces but the tandoori chicken I ordered was stale & horrible. While taking the order I was told the tandoori will take time, I was quite impressed when the order was ready within 10-15 minutes. When I opened the parcel the tandoori chicken was cold, rock solid hard pieces. I live quite far from the restaurant so there was no way I could have returned the parcel but what were you thinking while giving away something which was probably cooked a day before? I don't understand why restaurants like yours do such cheap tactics expecting that customer will not understand and ruin the reputation . In any case a fine dine restaurant like yours claiming to be specializing in Indian cuisine should know how to make Tandoori chicken which has to be soft and juicy. Kindly ensure quality, freshness of food & hygiene before anything else.

Had gone for dinner yesterday with family, what a great place ordered chinese and continental food. Food was awesome... hope to visit it soon

Been there after a hectic day.their service is quite exceptional.the servers are always looking after you.
I ordered methi chiken makhni and dal and both of them were awesome.
It's at E-square and you'll find it only if you were looking for it. The thing that got my attention here was the lovely ambience and charm of this place. It's was not crowded, even on a weekend. And that makes it a perfect place to take that special someone out for dinner. It's calm, beautiful and the food is good.

The service was prompt and friendly. Had a good time!
Swapnil Rewatkar
These people are cheats. They swiped Rs 250 extra from my card. When I realized it later, manager tells me without any remorse, if you want your money, pl come and collect it.
Food is average for the cost, service also slow and unresponsive.
Do check the amount swiped by these people against your bill if you happen to visit.
Ashwin
The staff can't handle the shear rush. Manager is not polite so don't expect the staff to be. Food is ok but not great. You have opened such a ostentatious restaurant so get more staff to handle the rush. Very disappointed to have come to have dinner. Would never come here. Get your acts together cause you're in a services industry where politeness is of utmost importance.
Sauptak
Good food and good ambience. Visited them twice already. The restaurant stays true to its nature and gives you the most popular and delecious Indian Cuisines.... especially North Indian. Gave it a 4! Point of improvement, the service is slow and takes a while before your order is plated out to you.
Sohan Bandewar
Good ambience,Good Food and quick service. What else do u want??
Its a thumbs up for me!!!
Its Interior is Too good & and plus it has a most accessible location in the city!!

I love the ambience, really peaceful.tomato cream soup was delicious.for food ,I give four ratings .try olive nan.good service .it's good for couples as well as families to spend quality time.
Niwrati Patil
I would overall rate 3.5 for this restaurant. Food was good but not great. Ambience is peaceful and good for couples to spend quality time together. Service is good due to low count.
Jayesh Katkar
Sad how people are been treated here. A glass of water is given after 10 min. When asked for roasted starters, they said tandoor was turned off. Mock-tails here are JOKE made from tinned juice packets.
:-( :-(
Prerana Thorat
I love the ambience. It is too peaceful. I cannot rate food 5 on 5. But its good. Garlic nan is really tasty. Vegetarian biryani is also a good option to try.
Devanshi Suchak
Good food !!!!!!! Nice ambiance. ..perfect place to dine with peace
Paneer is super awsome
Hospitality is too good
Kulfi was another good thing :)
Vishwesh Jirgale
Surprisingly nice food. We did not had any issues with the service. They also give 30% off if you are watching movie in ESquare which is a relief as its a costly menu.
Vikas Watane
Not so good. Very costly. Odererd Spicy tikhi tangadi but it was not even normal tikha :(. Margerita was bakwas, it seems they did not add alcohol in it.
Kunal Kaithwas
Galauti Kebabs were awesome. They were succulent and very soft. The mutton kebabs would just melt once u place it in your mouth. I would recommend a must visit to this place for der mutton galauti kebabs !!!
AbhiTooFoodie
The best thing about this restro is that you can watch a movie at E-Square and take ur tickets to this restro to get a 30% discount..It is surely gonna bring a lot of smiles to the family/friends..

Dishes are purely Indian and you will get to know the delicacies around the country...we ordered a Kovalam Chicken roast and the quantity sufficed for two of us. Was made in a curry leaf base so it was purely Kovalam in that sense...

The best part is the ambience of the restaurant..There are wonderful drawings of Indian village and they have placed artificial cooking utensils around...One should not miss out the huge room lamp..Serene it is....
Ashutosh Hegde
Excellent ambience, great romantic atmosphere and excellent food. Great place for those who love a quiet outing with their loved ones
Kedar Kane
I would say one word.. bad.. Never expected such experience from a restaurant in more popular area like e square. Ambience okay .. Avoid this place even if you getting disc by showingyour movie tickets 1 pt for ambience
Manali Mankad Vora
ESquare has always been my favourite joint. Not only because its near my house but also because apart from offering a full entertainment point including movies, I too love their food. Weather it may be Italian or Chinese or typical punjabi food. It always have been my favourite point in pune. I always used to wonder where is the hotel in level 5 but I was surprised. It looks like a mystery to me. :-) I had good hopes for indian ties restaurant as well. And it mostly satisfied with my hopes. We ordered tandoori paneer salad. It was yummiest thing I tried in panner. And nothing more but a tandoori roti, which was soft and a general vegetable to go with it. Nothing to hype about it. Ambience and service was good.
Bobby Jain
Now, as the name suggests, this place has Indian cuisines. Also on the menu you can read how they bring dishes from across the nation to your palate! Sadly, it isn't true. For vegetarians and paneer lovers, the place provides with very few options to select from.
The order is taken by a lad wearing a badge of a trainee, he's the same person waiting for you and few more guests.
The food comes a good half-hour- forty minutes later. While I was waiting, my friend, who ordered a beer and a chicken starter was served his short meal.
The quality of food isn't half the worth of what it was charged. It wasn't warm, wasn't tasting a bit like it should (in a place like this) and the amount of oil, you can only find more in a dish made at a highway dhaba.
Neither was the service of the lad who captained, waited and also cleared the plates.
The ambience of the place was good, however the cutlery didn't match the ambience.
In short. Highly over-priced, poor Food & Service.
Abhijeet Kotwal
My experience is way far from what everybody has said here about this restaurant.. It was my first anniversary, so took my family here on last Saturday. The ambiance is good, nice seating, lights etc.. But it less than 40% filled on a Saturday night!
Now the most important part...
We ordered some non-veg starters, the quantity was like "demo" starters or like tasters given before placing the orders. On request, they served chutney after we finished the starters. NO salads given along with the food, you have to request for onions and lemon. They also have free welcome drink on Sizzling starters, which I had to request them and they served after we checked out.
We asked for Biryani, the manager said, 2-3 people can easily eat 1 biryani, when the actual biryani came, quantity was like 1 person can eat 1.5 biryanis easily!! The road-side mutton pulao will taste better than this, no dum, no salan, tasted some spices thats all and again had to request for raita which was served after we finished biryani :O

My ratings:
Food: 0
Service: 0
Ambiance: 3
Sitting: 3

The worst ever restaurant in Pune, I would not recommend to anyone. *I had never given any ratings on Zomato but the experience was so bad that I couldn't resists myself!

Hope the TOP management is listening to this feedback and would act accordingly.
Ravi Kishore
Indian flavour comes from the food as the name says. Lamb preparation is very good. Though people who prefer spicy will be dissapointed. Ambience is good and the crowd is also good. The prices are slightly on higher end but with a 50% discount with movie tickets makes it a affordable affair. Over all a go place to chill..
Ashutosh Shiwankar
Been to this place for about 4-5 times now,& during both, day & night time. The ambience is great, especially when the sun is up as it gives a very nice& bluish tinge to the sitting area. But the lackadaisical-cum-arrogant attitude and the frustratingly slow service of waiters is likely to hurt you;once,in an almost empty restaurant I was denied a seat for two just because it could seat 4;talk about bad service (and I was with someone special,so it a good let down by the resto). Also, when once I asked for mouth freshener after my meal,I was told that they don't have any,by the waiter, but the concierge guy made a call and got me some. On the food front, the menu has some good stuff with good taste but overall variety is not much. In short, visit the place only if you have a discount coupon or an esquare movie ticket of same day, as it may disappoint you by the time you finish.

It was the witty and colorful logo of Indian Ties, that pulled us in,
Indian Ties was as colorful, ambient and grand from within..

The roof, walls, corners, décor - everything was detailed and beautiful,
Although the air conditioners were ineffective in making the space cool..

No one took our order for 15 minutes, which added to our disdain,
Weird policy - Order could be taken by only one of their 2 captains..

Anyway, we started with the lavish and sumptuous Platter Subz Tandoor,
& I must confess, if you love barbecued stuff, “Ye wala try karna zaroor”..

While marinated & spiced Paneer, babycorn, mushrooms were delectable,
We went completely gaga over the hot, bubbly, Barbecued pineapples..

With some Naans, we ordered Paneer Lababdar & Veg Jalfrezi,
While Jalfrezi was average, it was Paneer Lababdar drove us crazy..

Veg Jalfrezi did not have enough veggies, and was dry,
Each single paneer cube was indeed lababdaar, rich, yummy, and is a must try..

Speaking of drinks, well, we tried three,
Blue Lagoon , Mucho Mango, and Cranberry..

Mucho Mango and Blue Lagoon were quite ordinary,
Needless to say, the best of the lot was indeed, Cranberry..

We were worried about missing our movie, with the clock’s every single tick,
With 45 minutes from seat to bill, the speed of their service was astonishingly quick,

Courtesy the awesome discount on food, we paid 1500 for 5,
Good Service + decent food + amazing discounts, is why I rate them 3.5 ..

While 50 % discount on producing E-square movie tickets was a pleasant surprise,
Quite coincidentally, we watched “2 states” after dinner at “Indian Ties”..

My parents have warned me that I should get married only to an Indian girl, they want me to be TIED tight to the INDIAN culture given the love for fusionised food that I have,Hey we are talking about food and not marriage right.

Indian ties, how do I define you, I tried doing that in my previous sentences, but I think I have failed miserably, Damn; I always lost marks on definitions.
To begin with, how you would feel when you have a restaurant on top of your head for two long years, I seriously mean TWO LONG YEARS, and all you do is just pass through it and admire. They say you should always try to catch things above your head; well today I just did that!!!

So here I was at Indian ties with one of my clients to discuss about a deal that we were figuring out for a long time, but the ones and zeroes were not just coming to terms with each other. We reached at around 2 PM and considering the amazing hot weather that we have outside, I was just praying that things would work out well. So the moment we stepped inside, my client now friend looked above and said “WOW”,I looked up at the heavens and remembered B.J Thomas’s song, Raindrops keep falling on my head" from the 1969 film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. It had won an Academy Award for the Song. Indian ties had just won an award for the best original ambiance with a twist. the ambiance of the place is fresh and original, a perfect place for folks to enjoy their meal. The paintings on the wall and the water sprinkling on the glass ceilings do help to make the place livelier. Good job interior designer!!

We were hungry and since I was a vegetarian again, considering the great lent that is going on, we ordered for a hara bhara kebab along with lemonades. The hara bhara kebab were really hara bhara, blended to perfection with right amount of Spinach, Green peas, Potatoes, Green chilies, Ginger, Fresh coriander leaves, Chaat masala, Cornflour and no traces of oil, now that’s a good job done by the chef, Oh I forgot cashew nuts too. In no time we had gulped 8 pieces of the hara bhara kabab.Delicious 8 pieces.

Now came the time for the main course, I was confused (I can be at times),and needed the help of the captain to help me out, he was more than willing to help, he suggested that I go for a dish called birbali Kofta, for a moment I thought, does this preparation contain the wisdom of birbal and the beauty of Akbars court. I asked the captain this, he smiled and said yes, so I said yes too, in no time we were presented with two nicely done rotis and the birbali kofta.Well Akbar and Birbal would have enjoyed this piece of work by Sendthivel chef and his kitchen court. It actually contained huge chunks of cottage cheese stuffed with mushrooms, spinach and corn, just outstanding, it was truly a masterpiece, I was being blessed again with good food.

After the meal I was really not worried about the dent it would cause in my wallet, it actually didn’t. It was actually value for money deal, but I seriously didn’t think that experiencing something from the castle of Akbar would come so cheap.

My deal was done and my friend thanked me innumerable times for such a lovely meal, for me I had just cracked the deal, and yes I realized that I should marry a girl who has INDIAN TIES in her blood.

Had been to this place after seeing the 50% off at E-square.
Pleasant place, not too big , Open Sky indoors ( I loved their glass ceiling with the water flowing).
Staff were lovely and the atmosphere was relaxed. Jagjit Singh's Songs were on. The food was simple & good .
we tried the Chicken Dry Fry & Karbari Aloo from their special menu. It was quite reasonable .
Overall, I enjoyed it and definitely would go back.

Visited this place 2 weeks ago. The ambience is beautiful and cosy for a family outing. Chicken starters were good, but I especially loved the murg-begum-baag curry. The garlic naan was also perfect. And the kheer at the end - unforgettable! The staff was helpful but I wish there was no tv screem, it distracts and takes away from the moment.

Had been to this Hotel for dinner after falling prey to 50% discount....I would never visit this Hotel even if it offers 100% discount (i.e Free Or complimentary dinner)..Starters were not at all tasty...Main course veg and non-veg were also not good
....Rice served was comparativey better than main course
...Seeing the quality we did not dare to order desserts....Coming to service it was worst experience till date, waiters in Dhaba serve well. We had to call waiter many times. I had asked water 5 - 6 times and got it after a long struggle.AC was not working, staff did not start AC even after asking to start it.
Final Verdict: Visit this Hotel if you want to waste your money
. Else Please avoid it.

Had been to this restaurant on Womans day 8th March, 2014.
The place is quite descent and well arranged.
We had ordered non-veg starters and a sizzler starter and main course which were delicious
the roti is good and soft :)
We also had ordered for a daal tadkaa and it was really very tasty.Just loved the food a lot :)
I had availed an offer from timesdeal and would like to thank 'Timesdeal' for this awesome offer.
I would recommend people to surely visit this place :)

Glass roof ambience with soft music and comfortable dining experience. Couple that with soft spoken staff and you can ignore the not extraordinary food!!!

Nice ambience. Glass roof makes this place more beautiful. Went there after a movie :P
If you love spicy food, you must try Chicken biryani.
Avoid this place if there is no offer running.
Food: 3.5/5
Ambience: 4/5
Service: 3.5/5
value for money: 3/5

food is below average...in some items salt was less in some it was more. I seriously doubt about the quality of ingredients especially the chicken and fish they use...not to be tried again. Ambience though was very comfortable.

Its been quite some time wanted to visit INDIAN TIES, finally got a chance along with a friend of mine visited on 07-Feb-2014 .(yes carrying a deal coupon).
The ambience,seating,service all good .

Coming to food, had TAWA and TANDOORI sholay - very good and well cooked in starter .
Then jumped straight to main course : ordered Olive naan,Paratha kulcha, and Kofta - all three items very good .
Finally, desserts, ordered Rabdi Malpua ( being a bengali couldn't resist eating a sweet dish) - lipsmacking .( suggestion : malpua could have been little crispy .)

To sum up, it was a satiating and satisfying experience , however would like to suggest that the quantity should be increased .

The location of this restaurant is ideal since after a movie one needs to dine at a fine place. I loved the ambiance - the decor, the furniture, the cutlery, the soft lighting etc. The staff was well mannered, alert, and courteous. The service was prompt. The food, I particularly mention, was lovable. Good value for money.
When I visit the E Square Multiplex the next time, I would not think twice to visit this restaurant!
- Shripad Dharmadhikari

Visited this place yesterday night dated 31/01/2014.

Had got an awesome offer from hugrytable.in where you get 50%off on food etc for more such deals in pune you can visit their website :) .

Ambiance = We reached in time at the hotel and well our table was already reserved for 15 ppl :P . The place is quite small with few tables. Kept very neat and tidy.

So we ordered Veg Platter, Non-Veg Platter for starters . Main course Paneer Lababdaar, Veg Jalfrezi, Murg Tikka masala, Murg Begum Bahar,Dal makhani

Both the platters were good though I found their quantity small.

Paneer Lababdaar = Very well cooked paneer . For a change I liked the vegetarian dish :P

Veg Jalfrezi = Was normal nothing great about it.

Murgh tikka masala = Was a bit spicy as mentioned was good to taste.

Murg Begum Bahar = They had listed this as their special dishes found it to be normal nothing great about it.

Dal Makhani = This was horribly wrong . Had a very little amount of salt in it and didn't have the texture nor the taste of a dal makhani .

Service was dead slow request you to please speed up the process. Mainly due to this reason we refrained ourselves to have any dessert at your place . Was in all a very average experience

The ambience was good. But the taste was not at all upto the mark. Only the kababs were good in starters. First of all there was not a single person or manager to suggest speciality from the menu card. In main course chicken makhni was not at all good.

As name goes, Indian Ties, serves Indian and Muglai food.It is located on the
last floor of E square, Shivajinagar,Pune.
I have been there thrice and the different cuisine that I have tried are mouthwatering .The food served here, has different taste than the Indian food served in many other restaurants. The starter Achari Chicken served here has boneless chicken pieces having sour, sweet achari taste.
Then there are various items for main course.I had Chicken Chettinad with rumali roti which was good.
The restaurant located on the top floor has transparent glass ceiling along with paintings creating good ambience. But the service whenever we visited seemed slow. And during the long time they took to serve food we spend time observing various paintings in the restaurant.
The tasty food and the vast menu, makes it a place to be visited again and again.

One of the first problems come to mind with the place is the parking issue on a Sunday evening (though they can't do anything about it and neither the traffic police is doing something about the growing issue in the city). Anyways we enter this lovely looking place with hopes about having various moments tied with the place long after we leave and strong enough to bring us back under their roof one more time.

The first striking thing about the place is the minimal decor which works wonders for the place. The four corners have different utensils hanging and looks pretty. But two opposite corners have the same utensils hanging which is odd as we as Indians have variety of cooking utensils to show off. The wall paintings about 6 of them (though we don't have the exact count) are fine but what enhances them is the use of real grains and pulses at various places (actually the places where it suites). The cooling of the place is well done. The most disappointing thing in the decor section is the water cascade on the roof which is nicely visible during lunch time is hardly visible during dinner. You need to keep your face focused on the roof and you might spot it (great if you do and sad if you feel the pain in the neck after this exercise as we had!!! Ooch!!).

In soups, 'Adraki Makai Shorba' was excellent but 'Tomato n Pepper Rasam' was quite spicy (even though we had mentioned to make it less spicy) and not that tasty. The 'Bhutte Matar Ki Shammi' (appetizer) was fine but nothing special. But the finest thing came with main course with 'Birbali Kofta' which was soothing to the taste buds and one of the best Indian main course we had in recent times. The 'Dal Makhani' was competent but could have done better with little more spices added to it. And finally the desserts, 'Malpua with Rabdi' (superb though malpua was better than the rabdi) and 'Gulab Jamun with Vanilla Ice-cream' (nice but sadly the ice-cream was way better than the gulab jamun), were a nice way to end the outing.

The service was not up to the mark as they seemed to be busy in their own work rather than attending to the costumers. Also courtesy was sourly missing in the service. The prices are high here and the costly ties are few in number to remember. But on the other hand, the few ties are not easily forgotten. So, go and forge your own ties with the place, you might just want to remember them...

Good starters... Main course Ok... Ambience Excellent.. Service excellent.

The food quality was good.
The service was pathetic...It was like 2-3 waiters serving 30-35 people.
It took around 3 hours to complete the Dinner.
Not recommended for team treats.

Located at a very nice place, on 5th floor e square university road.
Ambience-very charming and pleasing. Good lighting.
Food- very costly. Dont go if you dont have some times deal or snap deal. Sorry i dont remember the food items. Its been a long time since i went there. But food was also tasty.
Service- very attentive and courteous staffs. They kept a constant check on our table and gave their best.
Overall a nice and comfy place to try.

The ambience of the place is amazing. I ordered veg food and it was very tasty. The service is fast, its a bit costly but recommended for a change.
