The best tandoori chicken I have ever had anywhere in world!! Period. And I have had tandoori chicken at a lot of places. It used to be a permanent restaurant which is now reduced to a temporary shelter. It’s still in the same place and the food tastes the same after all these years. I go here every time I am in Pune (usually once a year). I have only ever tried their tandoori chicken and chicken soup. Both of these dishes are amazing. I have come to relate Pune visits with this place and I hope they continue making this delicious chicken and never have to close this place down.

The best Tandoori Chicken in town! Don't go here if you are looking for ambience.
Brilliant Chicken Tandoori, Tikka and Tangdi Kebabs. Mutton Cutlets are also very good. A must visit for meat lovers. Highly recommended!

Been visiting here since childhood. The best tandoori chicken I have ever had anywhere and maintained since decades.
Jitendra kadam
It's a heaven for chicken eaters, it's in main square, Deccan Gymkhana, easily traceable from road, ambience is very very normal, but if want food quality in budget price thumbs up for this place.i had langdi kabab, it was awesome and chicken Biryani. For veg people they serve paneer
Hrishikesh Abhyankar
Good quality chicken cuisine and very affordable
Prathamesh Deshmukh
Must try Butter Chicken over here, it's one of the best I've had in Pune.

Nice and neat place. Good food to order home delivery or take away.

Tastes good.. Famous for biryani and tandoori.. Im just giving 4 stars cause its an open restaurant.. Only self service is there .. Low maintenance.. It can't be visited during rains. Or sudden rain can disturb your meal.. They should upgrade the services I think .
Tango B
The food was awesome and very tasty.. the safety measures are taken care of...the new place near crocs showroom is very clean and much better than earlier... Chicken Tikka was juicy and the biryani was also very tasty... but felt little change of taste in mayonnaise of chicken roll still i would rate 4 out of 5.

You ain't never had Chicken Tandoori like this before!

Everything Except the Food was not satisfactory: the area is not hygienic, the staff members are rude also the have doubled the prices , Plates weren’t clean last time i visited. Always prefer parcel and eat at home 🏠. All the 4 stars are for the food !

After, listening a lot about the hotel, went there with family. Ordered Tandoori Chicken and Chicken Dum Biryani. Specifically Tandoori Chicken was absolutely disappointing. Biryani was also not upto the mark. And very important Tandoori Chicken is extremely expensive. I will not recommend the hotel. Ambience is like roadside chinese thela.

Food is good not great and the in charge person is very rude, does not even know to give respect and speak properly. If you have query he will rudely answer you.

This restuarant is located at a prime location. Parking facilities are available all around this location, the ambience & infrastructure of this restaurant needs to be improved on priority basis. However, taking a view on the menu card gives you a glance of all traditional and popular chicken dishes which you've already tried atleast once in a lifetime. The taste is really very good and the hygiene is maintained. They have their traditional chicken soup, which is highly recommended to kick start your meal, it is nutritious and has a subtle taste (you may add salt or black pepper as per your requirement). The vegetarian food is slightly less expensive than the non vegetarian food. On an average, to have a decent meal here, it would cost you anything between 900 to 1100 for two people.

Have been visiting this place since I was a kid and am a huge fan of the butter chicken and tandoori chicken. The chicken roll taste has not changed over the years and is a huge hit with the kids and for those who do not eat spicy food. Always a amazing experience...

This has been a very popular place for a long time. However the quality is getting bad now. The chicken biryani that we ordered was extremely dry. Just very dry rice n two pieces of chicken in it. The tandoori was also not much to talk about. They need to introduce new flavours too. Upgrade their existing products.

One of the most popular places in Pune for tandoori chicken. It’s located on JM road near KFC.<br/><br/>We had-<br/><br/>Tandoori Chicken:<br/>The chicken was well marinated and tasted very good. <br/><br/>Chicken Dum Biryani:<br/>The Biryani had great aroma and was quite tasty but they served nothing with it (No raita or curd)
KUSHAL BHATTAD
Didnt liked the food much, neither the service and the staff..<br/>We ordered tandoor chicken and chicken soup but soup was not at all hot, tanddor was totally dry.<br/>There was only one single waiter serving around 12tables approx 40..50 pepl.<br/>The head cashier was very sarcastic person, did not felt welcomed at all. Wont recommend this place neither will visit again.
Vinod Redekar
good food thank you

Nice location, right at start of JM Road easily catches one's attention. Doesn't Impress much at the first sight, plastic chair table, open air cooking (some shades are there), looks more like a make shift arrangement. Ordered the most popular item: chicken tikka along with butter nan. Taste wise it was good but the amount of oil was kind of on the higher side. Nevertheless, it was cooked nicely but lacked the smoky flavor which is quintessential for tikka items. Was served with spiced onion and green chutney which were okay-ish. Price was reasonable (270 for 6 medium sized pieces). All in all, can be tried at times.

I'm highly disappointed because I read somewhere that this place servers delicious tandoori Chicken so I had high expectations but what I got was so bad that we could not finish it.<br/><br/>The place: it's a small place, they did not even work on the ambiance of the restaurant.<br/><br/>The Food: we ordered tandoori Chicken and chicken dum biryani there, tandoori chicken was very dry and hard and it also had a foul smell so we couldn't finish it. Chicken dum biryani was actually pulao with chicken pieces, the taste was poor. Even the salad and chutney was not good.<br/><br/>The service: you have to take the coupon first (may be because you would not want to pay after you eat there) then the food is ordered. The staff was not friendly.<br/><br/>PS: compared to the rate card the food is pathetic. I found this place waste of money.
Atharva Mate
This place is one of the best in the city when it comes to delicious chicken on the plate. But other than tasty food, it doesn't really have any selling points. The service is quite poor as the place is inadequately staffed. Ambience is not really good. But one should really check out the place when in town, if you crave for nicely cooked tender kebabs, delicious gravy with butter naan, and biryani. One must try Tangdi kebab, and Shahi tikka here.
Shruti Kumthekar
Whenever I think of eating authentic north Indian the name that strikes in my mind is none other than " ku-kooch-ku" .The speciality of Ku- kooch - ku is that there are serving Punekars authentic non vegetarian dishes from last many years but even today no one will find any compromise which leads to repetitive customers . Ku-kooch-ku is my favourite joint that's what I can say.
Deepali Prajapati
Best part I liked is they donot add unnecessary food colour. Had chicken tikka kebab, chicken tabdoori and shahi chicken kebab (green masala) .<br/>Taste is really good, cost is lil on higher side but quantity and taste is worth it.
Swapnil Gaikwad
ALERT - STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Had a horrible experience here.<br/><br/>1. First of all, they have coupon system. For each extra thing you need, you have to go, buy a coupon first and then they serve you. Even for 1 extra roti you must buy coupon which is absolutely inconvenient.<br/>2. Charges are exorbitant for the tasteless food they serve. First sip/bite of food here is enough to spoil your mood.<br/>3. Staff is extremely rude and ignorant. All they care about is your money.<br/>4. Ambience - What is that??? It's open air seating. You feel like you are sitting in the backyard of a kidnaper's house.<br/><br/>I wish I could rate this in negative stars. Nevertheless, I hope this review has helped you.

Located at deccan gymkhana, just opposite the bus depot, this is a very old restaurant, better known by the name of borawale's. The chicken tikka and tandoori chicken are really very well cooked. But the food is super spicy. The butter chicken was below average and the chicken biryani was ok. Even the paneer tikka was very spicy. The sliced onion they serve is also spicy. The menu is limited. The chicken tikka is a must try.

Ku kooch ku is a very simple yet old restaurant on JM road. When you enter ku kooch ku you will find a couple of plastic chairs and tables, open tandoor and lots and lots of chicken dishes. <br/>We ordered chicken tikka, the quality of chicken was good and perfectly good and juicy meat.Although i found it a bit spicy but tasted good. <br/>Shahi kabab came in a green marination but i didn’t like the taste. <br/>Butter chicken and naan was the best dish, flavourful gravy And perfectly cooked chicken. <br/>

I am visiting here for the past 35 years ... They serve the best chicken tikka and tandoori chicken.... They best of the best... Also known as Borawke chicken.

Best Chicken Tandoori I had in a very long time. Chicken was well cooked, tender and juicy with the right amount of spice! Tastes much better than the other much hyped costlier options around Deccan.

My love affair with Butter Chicken just went a step ahead when I visited Ku - Kooch - Ku recently, not only was it a nostalgic affair but they surely are one of the best when it comes to their specials! <br/> <br/>• The Butter Chicken is authentic as it comprises of Chicken cooked in a tandoor and then added to a slightly mild spiced gravy and with a dollop of butter. <br/>•The Chicken Biryani on the other hand is more towards the spicier side yet tasty and cooked on dum. <br/><br/>Where? JM Road opposite the Deccan Gymkhana, PMPML bus stop <br/>.<br/>.<br/>.<br/>.<br/>.<br/>.<br/>

Taste is okayish..... Biryani was extremely spicy which I didn't like.....<br/>Ambience is worst... Boravake’s chicken corner, also going by the funky name of “Ku-kooch-koo”, at Deccan Gymkhana has been serving one of the best tandoori chickens in the country since over 35 years. I know this sounds like a ridiculous claim, but I have only my extensive years of eating tandoori chickens across India - including Delhi, Ludhiana, Amritsar, etc. to back it. The place is terrible in term of seating. It’s open air, in the middle of a chowk, next to construction site. But the tandoori chicken makes up for it all. Don’t try anything else here. Just go in, order that one thing, eat, and savor it.

If you're a 'fine diner', maybe this place is not for you, not because of the food, but the ambience. If you're out to have fun with your friends, there will be good food accompanying good times. The prices are slightly north of other places like Hyderabad house and I don't think they're justified; maybe it's because of the JM road location. I lost my tandoori chicken virginity here, and you can never forget your first XD it was goood :P
Atharva Garud
One of the best as well as the oldest places in Pune opp the deccan bus stop, serving delicious food for more than 30 years. The Pioneers of Tandoori chicken in town serve the best kebab items. The mutton pattice and the Mayo chicken roll is great. Biryani and the gravy dishes too are delicious.
Rohan Bhagwat
One of the oldest & probably 1st tandoori chicken joint in Pune, located in Prime area of Deccan it is a treat to go here & have the delicious Tandoori Chicken specially in rainy & winter season, even when you pass by the joint the Aroma of tandoori chicken tantalizes your taste buds, pretty awesome, can't wait to go here again .

Very unhygienic place! Avoid eating here.<br/>Once upon a time it was a famous place but now there is no service, no hygiene, no management. They don’t care about the customers anymore.

I always pick up their Tandoori items perfectly marinated with chicken very juicy far better than Cafe Good luck the only negative party is the ambiance

Clean and spacious. Ordered Tandoori Chicken and it was excellent! It tasted like Tandoori Chicken should taste like if you know what I mean. The biryani was decent as well.Much better than the other North Indian places in the area.
Mangofoodie
This place is awsome for tandoori and biryani ( typical masala type) although the just suggestions would be to put something to cover the outside road. Tandoori lovers must visit this.....:)
Sameehan Dharmadhikari
This place was one of the best places for a tandoori chicken. What I felt is they should cover up the road side fence with something. Will reduce some noise and give a more secluded feel rather than being open on the road. <br/>We had a full tandoori children. It costs 450.. Which is the price for 2 as suggested on the zomato page. It wasn't very spicy, which I liked. It was sufficient for 3.<br/>Then we had Mutton cutlet. It was nice brown in colour but was cold on the inside. So we couldn't enjoy the full taste. I'm sure it would have tasted better if it were hot on the inside as well. <br/>Lastly we had butter chicken. It was sweet... It's not supposed to be as sweet as it was.. Which disappointed me a little.<br/>You can go there once in a while. And it definitely costs more than 450 for two.

Food is Okay. But, ambience is not good. Kind of creepy staff. Coupons system is okay. But, for anything additional, u will need to leave your table.

Visited this place only once. The place is small. We ordered Chicken Tandoori full , Chicken Mayo roll. <br/>Tandoori was too good and delicious. Chicken Mayo roll was okay. Tandoori lovers must visit this place.

Tucked in a corner of a traffic intersection near R-Deccan Mall, this place needed a double take from me to locate. Moving on, we ordered chicken soup, chicken tikka in appetizers. For the Mains, we had butter chicken and butter naan.<br/><br/>Although the chicken soup wasn't upto the mark (the chicken pieces reeked a bit), the successsive dishes were absolutely lip-smacking. Succulent chicken tikkas, divine butter chicken and crisp butter rotis. Pure bliss!! It's also famous for its biryani but that'll be for next time.<br/><br/>All in all, a no-frills, value for money and hard-core tandoori foodies's delight!
Swapnil Shinde
You expect something good when you hear that the place is 35 year old , same happened with me .I visited this place with high expectations but again disappointment .First of all I don't like the coupon system which they must change because it totally wrong .You don't know how much you're going to eat .<br/>Ambience word doesn't even qualify over here but reading lots of reviews ambience isn't a thing here its only about food .Things I've ordered ..<br/>Chicken soup - worst of all never even go for it .its just chicken water with a little bit salt and small chicken pieces with not at all taste .Totally pathetic and they had this is their special menu .please do try this on your own risk . -1 /5<br/><br/>Half chicken tandoori - well this was a better dish .They're famous for their tandoor preparations and yes it was good .I won't say its best because I've ate lots of good tandoor preparation than this but after taking that soup it was really good .3/5<br/><br/>Butter chicken - so we took another risk and ordered this with 3 rotis .Well this is not even near to butter chicken we get outside .When I took first bite all I did taste was garam masala ,I think they did put lots of garam masala in it that I couldn't even finish one roti with it .Flavour's didn't even mix properly totally out of mark gravy dish and I was highly disappointed. This cost me in stomach pain and I had to spend half of my next day in wash room because of this .I don't know how did they make such a horrible gravy .1/5<br/><br/>I know it's a long serving restaurant but some things must change .They should stop serving such soups and mainly please do not add excessive garam masala to the gravies which causing customers health issues .Won't visit again for sure <br/><br/>This review is solely based on my experience I don't want to offend anyone but whatever happened with me I did express and it was not good .

I went there with my friends few days back. Location constraint forced me choose this restaurant.<br/>This place is of very low quality. It's like sitting by road side.<br/><br/>Management<br/>Management is quite rude. They have coupons system. You have to pay n get the coupons first, otherwise they won't let u sit on the table. You have to go to counter in the middle I u forgot to order anything.<br/><br/>Food<br/>Except overpriced Tandoori chicken which is Ok-Ok type everything else is disgusting. One of my vegetarian friend ordered Paneer Butter Masala. Paneer was smelling and tasting so bad that he hardly ate 1 roti.<br/><br/>Service<br/>Simply " They don't Care "<br/><br/>PS<br/>Zomato should checkout the place ones before suggesting it to anyone.
Manish Sane
This joint is in operation for last 35 years or so.<br/>Used to go regularly then as it was one of the few offering tandoori.<br/>Still their tandoori preparations taste the same.<br/>Seating is like small road side (no fancy) and non-tandoori items are strictly no go.<br/>And the thing which catches your eye is they have huge inventory of coupons (you need to buy to place order) are the one which were printed in millions way back in 1980s.<br/>Enjoy.

The review is very simple.. go, eat their signature dish chicken tandoori and come back.. don't have anything else.. we ordered chicken soup and it tasted horrible.. just plain salted water with crushed chicken pieces.. expensive place compared to the ambience..
Khadija Poonawala
Best tandoori chicken in pune. It just melts in your mouth.Pls Dont go on ambience but one thing can be guaranteed is awesome food. Try any of their chicken dishes and you will not be disappointed.
Abhay Gupta
Had my first official Chicken over here with my friends. It scores in terms of ambiance, but don't judge it by the way it looks. Food is way too awesome and pocket-friendly.
Ila Ragade
We ordered a tandoori chicken and a panneer butter masala (i didn't eat the panneer). The tandoori chicken was really really good. It was worth the money. The panneer didn't receive any appreciation from the veggie gang(do not eat veg here). This place is more famous for non veg anyway. Do try the tandoori chicken. There is no ambience really 😌 but that doesn't matter much if u want to eat good food. (Non veg food) the place is pocket friendly.
Prashant Ghoman
Recently had been to this place. Quality of theBiryani, Tandoori was thik thak... Just @ par.. But chicken lollipops were horrible & pathetic
Deepti Ingle
One of the best place for tandoori. It is just awesome. The ambiance is not so good. But your senses are lost in good food to notice the same. I have been to this place since my childhood. It is a true delight to visit this place.
Raagya Zadu
Very disappointing. The food for which this place was sought after, turned out to be a very sorry affair. The mutton pattice was a disaster and the Tandoori chicken was dry and tasted chalky. Their "Special" biryani was oily and absolutely hopeless.
Eric Foreman
Good food. Tandoori chicken was beautifully tender and Butter Chicken was near perfect.<br/><br/>But waiting for your table while dealing with their not so competent staff is a turn off even before your meal arrives.<br/><br/>Ambience couldn’t have been much worse though and the the ordering system, archaic. <br/><br/>To top it all off its not even cheap. Paying 440 for a full tandoori chicken at such a joint, not worth it.
Aniket Kulkarni
Excellent food but bad service. That's wat this place is all about. But this is the place in pune where I go the most to have butter chicken and chicken tandoori. The confused and the bad service doesn't keep me away from this place.<br/>The reason I call their service bad is because of their coupon system. We usually decide how many rotis we ll have when we are about to finish eating the first one. The person at the counter expects us to order all the rotis at the same time. If not we have to get up in the middle of the meal to order our rotis at the counter again. That is a bit irritating.<br/>The food they serve will make up for their service provided. Butter chicken here is a must try along with chicken tandoori and chicken tikka. Chicken seekh kebab and chicken biriyani are also pretty good.<br/>In-house seating comprises around 10 tables.<br/>Expect a lot of rush during the weekends. Visit this place for one of the best butter chickens in the city.
Dhaval Paranjpye
The food was excellent. The service is so - so. Had to go to the counter to collect coupons in the middle of the meal to get rotis. Yet, the food was just too good. This is not a place to take your date coz you might have to share your food with them. This is a place where you take yourself on a date. The tandoori smell is extremely appetizing. Keep it up!!
Aditi Patil
My dad had always told me about the chicken Tandoori here, and mind you it's definitely their USP. Very succulent, juicy, soft and without any artificial colours used, it was a true delight. The chicken soup was okay to good. The chicken rolls masala was terrible, the flavors weren't balanced at all, it was too sweet and too spicy at the same time. The service was pretty slow and the waiters were inattentive, the coupon system here is a bit weird. The ambience is very dull, with poor lighting, but you must try them for their tandoori!
Subathra Manoharan
If your someone who minds the place being unclean please take a u-turn and leave. The place I have to admit is not clean, but the kebabs here!! HEAVEN but try only their kebabs I wouldn't recommend their rice and soup. They have only one waiter so the service is very slow! This rating is only for their kebabs and nothing else.
Swarup Kulkarni
A place just opposite to deccan bus station, which you can miss easily.. But this place offer some really good chicken dishes.. The chicken tandoori here is simple fabulous.. The ambience is not too much to cheer about. Service is good & pricing is also decent.. If you want to enjoy some tandoori nights, this place is worth visiting..
Pranav
A roadside place with average service and a very inconvenient COUPON SYSTEM. You CANNOT just place an order! Every time you want something, you have to stand in the queue and get a coupon by paying immediately. Taste is satisfactory. Rates are less; so is the quantity. Ambience: 2.0, Food: 3.0, service: 2.5
Amit Kumbhar
Coupon system to order your meal is very inconvenient. And in middle of the meal if you need to order something extra then again you have to go to get coupons. It is not a restaurant but felt like a college mess. Management is rude. Menu card is not allowed on table (why?). It feels like they are doing a favour by giving you food.<br/><br/>They really need to change if they need to grow. They might be thinking that their food taste is keeping their customers with them in spite of the old fashioned coupon system. But customers like me also need a good service as I am paying. <br/><br/>Talking about food, it was less than average.
Mrunal P
Have been going here for the last nearly 30 year and their USP has been their Tandoori Chicken. The place has changed. Previously it was a garden restaurant seat out. Now it feels cramped and crowded particularly on weekend evenings. Its precooked chicken that is put into Tandoor to speed up the cooking. Week days when there isn't too much of a crowd the quality is much better.
Harshal
Recently got a chance to visit this place with a friend. This is a mess style eatery specializing in chicken dishes. We had a tandoori chicken and a Chicken soup. The tandoori chicken was how I would like it, however, the soup was somewhat mediocre.<br/><br/>There is no ambiance to speak of. Considering the location, I guess they can do a lot of the opportunity. As per my friend, they continue to be exactly like they were years ago. While it is good to say this about the taste, it is not necessarily true in other aspects.<br/><br/>Considering the price segment, the eatery can be called as value for money. Definitely worth a visit for a good tandoori chicken.
Ameya Kekare
The place serves really good chicken starters. Must try the chicken tikka. In fact all starters are worth the pay. The chicken is fresh, tender and juicy. The flavours to are good. Foodies with spicy taste buds would not be fully satisfied. Should try the dum biryani.
Mayur Sant
Still an awesome place for a tandoori chicken ..this place famous for the same for years now..recently visited after a long time and enjoyed every bit of it..p s don't take parcel as eating there is different experience .
Mihir Tulpule
As the name suggests, it is a place for chicken lovers. The Tandoori chicken (full) has 4 pieces which were big and the taste too was good. The quantity of Other items such as butter chicken, etc is extremely less. With the coupon system you will have to get up n order 10 times while having your meal. With an arrogant owner and slow service, I'll suggest you to avoid this place.
Amruta Karkhanis
It was a Sunday night, so the rush was too much. However, we were able to catch a table soon enough. The coupon system is not something which would appeal to me especially when all of us were having hunger pangs. <br/>Coming to the food, we ordered Tandoori Chicken which was average with less masala and was pretty bland. The Butter chicken was too sweet and the gravy used was same as Paneer Butter Masala. <br/>We had high expectations from this place which were clearly not fulfilled.
Rohan Tikoo
Okay food. <br/>The tandoori and the biryani is not that great and on top of that the service is bad with a very bad manager.<br/>All in all,an average experience.
Satish Pankhewale
Motion pattice was hopeless bad experience token manager talks very rudely with customers as if he is doing favour giving us service dirty place to eat
Pratik Hublikar
Sitting on the table and watching the traffic flow on deccan.Imagine fresh chicken with an excellent blend of spices marinated over it.This is just the place for you then. The smell that comes from that tandoor.Aaah!<br/>That juicy, moist, spicy and flavourful tangadi kebab can never be forgotten.Generally the dishes here are spicy compared to other restaurants. So what I suggest is go for tandoor chicken or tangadi kebab.Have roti and bhaji of your choice. I prefer to have chicken tikka masala. So now you are more than half full.If you are more than two people then order their chicken biryani otherwise it will be a overload of spices and you don't want to go home and have problems. A nice place with hustle and bustle around.<br/>The only thing which I don't like is their coupon system.First pay for your food and then enjoy.<br/>Must visit for tandoori lovers.
Omkar Desai
Tandoor Lovers... this is the place for you.!!!!Forget KFC which is in the vicinity and step in here without any second thought.<br/><br/>Hit the counter as its a token based system, get coupons for your order and hand over it to a guy standing next to tandoor bhatti. Its a pretty old fashioned resturant with no attractive ambience. Four plastic chairs and a table resembling of a roadside chinese tapri with a full view of kitchen with the tandoors hanging.<br/>Chicken tandoori is their delicacy . Must try!!! You will visit frequently.Butter Chicken:- Not worth to eat. Too much sweetness with weird gravy.Jeera Rice and Dal fry:- Average quality with hardly any Jeera present in rice.<br/><br/>Very few options for vegetarian:- Only three dishes available on the day of vist. We had paneer butter masala and green peas masala. Plz avoid!!! This resturant is only for Non-vegetarian.<br/><br/>So I am rating with respect to Chicken dishes. Tip:- Take away is a good option that too only chicken tandoori.

Delicious chicken biryani, tandoori chicken and chicken soup are the biggest usp of this place. Chicken soup is fresh and healthy!!! Tandoori is finger licking good and biryani has the best combination of flavours. One of the most preferred hotels by me to enjoy yummy chicken!!!!

Nestled between the over-powering monstrosity of R Deccan (home to KFC) and the bustling fork at Prayag Hospital is this modest yet unforgettable Ku-Kooch-Ku. Owing to its location, size, lack of branding and its lack of frills - it's definitely not a joint that would catch ones eye. However, on much nudging from a friend, I visited Ku-Kooch-Kuch last night. Unfortunately, this visit was post a harsh legs session at the gym and hence our fare was limited to copious quantities of chicken aka protein, and no carb at all. <br/>We started with a modest chicken soup. With immensely soft yet large shreds of chicken soaked in chicken broth, no vegetables and no oil - this was delectable and not to mention, filling. In quick succession was one half portion of tandoori chicken (which happens to be their speciality). The chicken inherently is of superior quality. Extremely juicy and succulent, from the house of Borawke's, the chicken was cooked to perfection. The masala was light, generous and wasn't your usual ass burner. We were smitten. Just FYI, one half tandoori chicken consists on 2 pieces - one leg and one breast. <br/>We tried the chicken lollipops as well. I wasn't too happy though and thought the meat lacked flavour. The outside coating was the usual, besan and chilli powder with seasoning. They were also considerably fried and hence would've had my gym trainer twitching with an oil overdose, I'm sure. <br/>From what I'm told, Ku-Kooch-Ku has been functional for eons now and has a large base of loyalty. Their star produce being their chicken soup, red masala tandoors, green masala tandoors and their biryani. <br/>I definitely recommend a visit to Ku-Koock-Ku over KFC to savour some Indian fast food chicken !

The chicken tandoori is a must to try.. Sumtuous.. With a very well marinated chicken.. 😋😋😋 Full plate has big gour pieces that are enough for 3 person! Worth the money!

Its a small joint right beside the R-Deccan mall and it is easy to miss unless you are specifically looking for it. Sitting is open and the cooking aroma fills the place. <br/>First & foremost, this is a Chicken Lover's paradise! Hands down the best Tandoori chicken I have had in the city. Chicken was cooked perfectly and marinated even better. Tried a couple of main course chicken dishes and the quality of cooking shows. Chicken was succulent, soft and ripped of the bone with ease. Naan was ok too.<br/>Must visit place for non-veg lovers.

I have been a fan of this place since childhood. Today I wanted to eat Tandoori Chicken and so I travelled from Baner to this place for it.<br/><br/>This place never disappoints. The quality of their Tandoori Chicken is the same top notch since many years. My tongue did not want to stop tasting it today. I alone ate half Tandoori Chicken. I know its not a lot, but my companion just had Chicken Soup and only one bite from my dish which made me feel as if I was eating a lot. 😁<br/><br/>I tasted the Chicken Soup. Here in it they serve pure Chicken Stock as it is. They don't put anything else in it. I like pure Chicken Stock and so I did happen to like the soup very much. <br/><br/>Happy eating! 😊<br/>

People know this place by Borwake's. <br/>It is the best tandoori chicken place in town and holds that position for more than a decade now. The chicken poultry they use is really exclusive. Very few places in town have meat of that taste. <br/>If you are a person who like great service and lavish ambience then this is not a place for you.<br/>But if you are die hard fan of tandoori chicken then this is THE place to go.<br/><br/>The restaurant is kind of funny ordering system. You can call it semi self-service pre-paid fast food outlet ;)<br/>You need to decide what you want to eat and how much.. Surprisingly they haven't changed this system since years now.<br/>I prefer take away which also at times takes frustrating long, but I guess its worth it.<br/><br/>The best seller is Chicken tandoori which is absolutely succulent. They don't over powder it with chat masala like at other places. Squeeze of lemon makes it a perfect bite. <br/><br/>Second recommendation is chicken handi masala. The gravy has a very peculiar taste. I guess its the secret garam masala does all the magic.<br/>Full marks for the food only... I would not like to under rate it because of ordering system & seating arrangement.<br/><br/>Ambience: 2/5<br/><br/>Food: 5/5<br/><br/>Service: 2/5<br/><br/>Value for money: 4/5<br/><br/>Overall rating: 4.5/5

This is a place which you won't spot easily.<br/><br/>But, this is one of, if not the, best place in Pune to have some Tandoori Chicken.<br/><br/>Slightly on the higher side, but the taste compensates for all of it.<br/><br/>The Tandoori Chicken is exquisite and you can feel the masala marination working it's magic. <br/>The whole masala goes right till the very end and you don't feel like eating boiled chicken.<br/>They prepare it fresh in front of you and not re-tandoor it like everywhere else.<br/><br/>The rest of the kababs have distinct tastes and are worth every buck.<br/><br/>Biryani is good, not very spicy (the way I prefer it).<br/><br/>The only thing they need to work at is the Service. It's borderline bad. You can almost see the waiters struggle to complete each order.<br/><br/>Nonetheless, Go there for the Tandoori Chicken. You won't regret it.

This place serves very tasty and succulent chicken tikka and tandoor, but the gravy has been disappointing every single time! Butter Chicken here is popular, I found it too sweet. Of my regular Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Tikka is very good, but gravy is weird. I feel it sufficiently hot and spicy in the beginning but I use to have burning sensation in mouth by hotness as I am about finish. All my friends have vouched to this transition of taste, the reason I have recently decided to stop visiting this place'[

How many places have you visited to taste best Chicken Tandoori in Town? If you are looking for an authentic treat with lip smacking soups, kebabs and biryani. <br/><br/>The place is located at wonderful location of Deccan. Parking is always trouble but you will manage to get somehow. <br/><br/>Ambiance is ok ok, but serves the purpose of food consumption. Good old coupon system is followed till date. Prices are little high but worth the quality. <br/><br/>My star Menu: Chicken Soup, it's chicken stock with little bit of spices. <br/><br/>Spicey Tandoori Chicken: Get a regular if you can't digest spicy food. There is no food color or additives but the chicken is grilled at perfection. <br/><br/>Chicken Tikka Masala and Roti. And the last course Chicken Biryani, it's less spicey but damn tasty. The chicken pieces are so soft it feels like heaven for your stomach. <br/><br/>Will be a regular visitor till I am here. <br/><br/>

Being to this place many a time, but it never changes it taste. That's the speciality of this place!!<br/><br/>Simple ambience, great food, modest on pocket, what else one needs?<br/><br/>Veg or non-veg all tastes good...

Excellent Tandoor Chicken, no buts about it. <br/><br/>Review needs 140 words, hence added this line and remaining words <br/>What can I say. <br/><br/>I never had such Tandoor before

One of the places where heavily cliched statement "old is gold" sounds befitting. The tandoori chicken is tender and very well spiced.<br/><br/>The butter chicken is delicious and the biryani is simply superb. Its just one of those places where you have to go if you are a foodie. <br/><br/>Couldn't give 5 stars because of the ambiance but the food here will never disappoint.

No Veggies Please!!!<br/>This Place is only-and-only for Non-Vegetarians. Ambiance is not too good but that doesn't matter when you are have yummy and tempting chicken on table. They serve only chicken so avoid if you want to have red meat. Rating goes as below:<br/>Quality: 5/5;<br/>Quantity: 3.5/5;<br/>Service: 3.5/5;<br/>Ambiance: 2.5/5;<br/>Taste: 5/5<br/>Few dishes are sweet in taste so ask before you order and enjoy.

Legendary!<br/><br/>One of the best places in and around Deccan Gymkhana to savour the Tandoor Chicken. It is tender, and the masala is generous. Butter Chicken is yet another brilliant dish available here. Very much value for money!<br/><br/>It is located bang opposite the Deccan Gymkhana bus stop and is hard to miss.<br/><br/>Food: 5/5<br/>Service: 4/5<br/>Presentation: 4/5<br/>Pricing: 5/5

I had been hearing a lot about Borawakes since ages and had never been able to make it there until last night.<br/>A couple of my friends swear by the tandoori chicken served here and hence that had been my first order with chicken biryani.<br/>To tell you guys the fact; the tandoori chicken was one of the best I've ever had. Well marinated, awesome flavour and perfectly cooked.<br/>The biryani was also terrific. Beats the now lacklustre biryani of Blue Nile hands down. Fluffy rice with juicy chicken pieces in there.<br/>Closely resembles a good Hyderabadi biryani.<br/>Portions are very generous.<br/><br/>Food wise this place scores and ace. Ambience is dull with conventional highway restaurant type seating.<br/>Service is semi self where you pay first, get a coupon give the coupon at a counter and then get served. It was ok.<br/><br/>They only open after 6pm.<br/><br/>Taste: 5/5<br/>Presentation: 3/5<br/>Ambience: 3/5<br/>Service: 3/5<br/>Pricing: Very economic <br/>Overall: 4/5<br/><br/>Will surely go back and also recommend.

Chicken lovers go here. <br/>Same taste since 20 years. <br/>Love the system- pay first. <br/>The Chicken Biryani is unique. Home like taste. <br/>Restaurent ambience awaits a upgrade with the building next door. <br/>Well done to the Borawke's. <br/>Keep it up. <br/>Cheers<br/>

This place is such a whole-in-the-wall legend, and despite the cheesy name, a truly spectacular chicken experience. I'm not usually very fond of tandoori chicken, but the tender and juicy chicken grill that they served up here made straight to my 'must-have-for-daily-survival' list. The other items on the menu are rather decent too, although the ambience is kinda disappointing. So if you can afford to, give the dine-in experience a miss and bring back home the best tandoori chicken you can hope to find in Pune!

From my personal experience over the years, this is the place to have the best tandoori chicken in Pune. Soft, fresh and so tasty that you will chew the bones and eat em too!<br/>Priced at 190 Rs for a half and 380 for a full, makes the tandoori chicken somewhat pricey but it's quality is definitely worth the price.<br/>If you are a biryani lover, which I haven't tried yet, this place also perhaps serves good mutton/chicken biryani.<br/><br/>FYI<br/>1. You have to place the order by buying a coupon for the tandoori chicken . Almost like desi McD or KFC :)<br/>2. Sit back while the limited no of waiters serve your meal.<br/>3. The place is kinda a small open area with plastic chairs n all. If you are expecting a swanky restaurant with absolute prompt service, skip this place. Just go for the tandoori chicken in your mind.<br/><br/>My recommendation: Have a tandoori chicken and a bottle of your fav soft drink to enjoy it!<br/><br/>P.S I gave it a 4 rating just for the tandoori chicken. :)

Even thought have an excellent butter chicken.. They do not do home day delivery. I was told to call dial a meal services which charged me a bomb for home delivery..very sad.the rating is only bcoz of this. The food I would rate 9.

A small place which can be easily missed on the busy JM road. Had heard about it but could never try it as it is almost impossible to stop and get a car parking place on JM road for a short time in the evenings. A few days back was without my car and passing by JM road, hence decided to stop for a takeaway.. <br/>The Tandoori Chicken was brilliant.. probably the best I have had in many years in terms of flavour of the marination. The chicken itself was tender and juicy and masalas used in the marination are definitely different from the regular and usual taste one gets at almost all restaurants. Am sure that the taste would be more amazing if it is had fresh out of the tandoor... It has a seating section not recommended for families but would be great to have the amazing tandoori chicken with a group of friends there.

Good place for chicken lovers! Must try the chicken tandoori and the chicken biryani! Butter chicken is good as well. Chicken soup is mostly stock but healthy. Some ppl will like it, some wont. The service is ok with only 2 waiters running round the small place. But its a city classic being there for almost 2 decades. Must visit if u love chicken!
