Review French Creperie - Pune

Abhipsa Behera
Small place for the dessert lovers. Had apple pie. It was good, but cinnamon was not in the right amount which is the key ingredient for an apple pie.
Meenakshi Rohatgi
Variety for pancakes, waffles and omlettes are many,..small cosy seating in main area of kp..did not try crepes though.. Staff is v polite

Had a banana waffle the last time I went here and it was super yummy. Can't wait to visit again!

Awesome place in Lane 5 Koregaon Park for desserts and coffee. Typically serves French fare as evident from the name.

Good food, good service. Definitely worth second, third visits, especially in a place that's teeming with eateries.

Food is quite good, the crepes are heavy, sandwiches are light, overall delightful little place. The service is not the well oiled machine of large bustling restaurants, but there's a halting earnestness and sincerity that's endearing, especially in a quaint joint like this.
Worth second, third visits, which is great in a place that's teeming with eateries. Pay and park nearby.

OVERPRICED as hell ... sad food should be improved immediately pathetic ambience service without a smile and really terrible altogether is just a start... in my opinion they should shut down asap... really DISAPPOINTING ... 😕

Very Nice ambience and food tastes great. They also tend to experiment with new dishes, which I feel is awesome. Very friendly service makes you go back for more.

I cant rate food at this restaurant as order's take forever to come. We went in morning around 10 AM and after waiting for 30 minutes there was no sign of food. We cancelled our order and they were very keen to cancel it.
Simple advice is to hire more staff so that food can be delivered quickly.

Hopefully next time I get a chance to eat the food.
Rohan Bharaj (Mumbai - Navi Mumbai - Pune - Bangalore)
Nice cozy place.
Good simple food. Coffee, even though a cappuccino, was cold.
Prices a bit on higher side compared to quantity.
One cute thing is that they have a small place in the corner where people can draw, sketch and do some timepass till their order arrives. They've also stuck some good creations on the wall. 😃
Overall a nice & cool place!

Everything about this place is awesome. Relaxed ambience. You can spend hours there. Crepes are good and deserts are awesome. Cold Belgian chocolate is a must have.

I was in koregaon park today , me and my friends were literally starving so we went to a place called French Creperie located on the corner of lane 5, we ordered crepes and lemme tel you the crepes were ausumn, as soon as crepes arrived I couldn't stop myself it was really delicious and mouth watering and the guy I think he was the manager 'Vishal' he literally knows the nerve of a starving customer , really friendly and great by personality, worth eating and spending if that kind of ppl present to serve you a delicious food , best manager , best good . Real good 😊
Akshata Kothari
One must really have the patience to allow their staff to deliver the best crepe they can. I was startled to see when a guy started screaming about where is order was and said he wanted to cancel it. Guys, you need to understand one thing. Good food takes time. And if you don't have enough patience to wait for the best you better not go to such places. Cause the staff here put their heart and soul to the food they make just to make you feel happy with it! So what they take a little time doing that, next time if you wanna go for a quick bite with a Temper don't come here. Only with the mind of an cherisher you must come.

I had a mushroom, egg, onion savory crepe and it was served as good as a dosa thick edges which i left out, with uneven thickness with cheese pockets and mushroom half done along with lemon ice tea which when requested for to make taste more lemon was given back with a slice of lemon inside. Serious effort needed to make them better by and far. The manager was kind enough to ask for waiver of payment but that is not the solution to make feel better after all. I paid 440 in total wouldn't mind paying all for a good experience which reaches my heart. Unfortunately it didn't at all ! Live review experienced today 5 Apr 17 - 4:30 pm.

Small piece of France in koregaon, Good location and simple cuisine, if you want to try some quiches, salades or crêpes ( salty or sweet) that's the place,
Went there fiew times and food and service were always good
Recommend it!!

I made this account to review French Creperie. The name attracted me I went inside ambience was good ordered food but no one was interested to serve me my food early as all staff was playing and doing time pass my food came it wasn't good at all the worst part was the manager and the staff were drunk not going there ever.....

Visited this eatery on a Sunday Night with my friends to satisfy our sweet cravings. We ordered the Nutella Banana Crepe(Suggested by Zomato) and a plain Nutella crepe. Average crepes, both in the taste and the presentation and I surely have had better crepes in Pune. As the name reads Creperie, my expectations were a little on the high side.

The crepes were a little too thick and the Nutella spread inside was not sufficient.

Having said this I really liked the ambiance and the staff was courteous. We had a good time playing board games and decor perfectly complemented the vibe of the place.

Overall, a decent place to relax with family or friends but I would not suggest anyone the Crepes served here.

Food : 2.5/5

Value for Money : 2.5/5

Ambiance : 4/5

Service : 4/5

We were in KP for a seminar and were in a rush since we were a little famished. This place was the first option. Ambiance is sweet, not bad especially the jar lights. Did not try the crepes . Apart from that , the chicken sandwich was really sad. It was just a usual grilled bread which had cheese+lettuce and some chicken and some fries. Nah. The cappuccino was all right. nothing to complain about. Maybe they have something nice as these images show but i don't know. if it would be as delectable as it is shown. Service was messed up but its okay. They were really patient and apologetic. Wont go so hard on that because yes it was crowded indeed. You can drop here just once though.

I visited this place at night with my sister. It was wuiet a cosy place. We could sit and chat quiet well and we ordered our coffee too. The coffee was okay and the cafe owner is also very friendly but I was only disappointed because there was open kitchen and the egg omelette smell couldn't leave my nose. We had to leave immediately.
When you have the word French added to your name and offer an unpalatable version of French food....the result is French Creperie. Ordered a Mediterranean creperie .....only to find the Tuna had numerous bones. Caffe latte was a watery fluid with no taste. Their F.C special veg sandwich had tomato, cucumber and chinese cabbage...Sir...the Sandwich wala on the footpaths of Mumbai makes tastier Sandwiches that what you serve. F.C special non-veg sandwich again was no great. Overall, except a little enduring ambiance right in the heart of Koregaon, the food at this place is pathetic... A strict NO is this place for all foodies. There are better places than this.

Kindly rejig your menu and give it a flavor that can be savored.....

Its a great place with great ambiance. The staff is the most helpful and professional you would ever come around. The quality of food is unmatchable. With all the authentic dishes and great taste this place is one of the best in the lot.

The name sounded very attractive, so wanted to try this place. Went here for breakfast. It's a very tiny place which was deserted when I went there, so I preferred to sit outside as I was more attracted to the bar style balcony seating.
We ordered Nutella pancake, Nutella waffle with chocolate croissant and coffee.
I loved their waffle quality as it was perfectly cooked with a generous amount of Nutella spread over it.
Pancakes for that matter were very thin and tiny.
The chocolate croissant was a disaster as it was stale. I complained to the manager and he was very modest to tell me that all the other croissants are also stale, and that I shouldn't have them. I returned my croissant and wasn't charged for it.
The coffee is pretty good too.

The place needs an interior designer/maintenance. It's a very cute joint at a very strategic location. So my suggestion is to use it properly to their benefit.

The service is extremely slow. My Nutella waffle meal took an excruciatingly long time and it came fragmented. By the time my coffee came, my waffle was finished off!
Maybe because the manager wasn't present at first but after he entered, everything was taken care of.

Overall this place serves good waffles and coffee.

Service: 1
Food: 3
Ambience: 1.5

It was my second visit to this place today, which turned out to be disappointing. I ordered a banana nutella crepe which was okay and not that great. Then smoothies are very bad. My expectations were little high from this place but all in vain.

Had nuttela waffle with ice-cream.
The nuttela was pouring out of the waffle base
(they have a big heart i must say)

Yummy waffles and worth the penny.

Highly recommended

This is the place to be when your sweet tooth calls. A wide variety of lip smacking delicacies that will make you enjoy more with your friends.
Vikram Jayanand
Really disappointed with the way the quality has taken a total nosedive. I visited this place when it was run by the original owners and the food was fantastic, in comparison the crepes this time were simply awful. Won't be going back anytime.
Shayna
I cant believe that something this bad can actually exist. The ambience and all are okayish nothing to rave about. The food was dismal. My savory crepe had unmelted cheese, was cold and potatoes were uncooked. Coffee was good but that doesnt satisfy my tummy. I had such high hopes :(
Madhura Sukalikar
Very nice food and ambience. The English breakfast war brilliant and the very friendly staff let me customize it. The only problem was the cappucino. The cappucino machine was broken but the staff didn't inform us of it and served just normal hot coffee instead.
Sonal Joshi
Nice place with good interior. Menu had lots of variety. We ordered cafe latte, veg grilled sandwich, cold coffee & french fries. The sandwich was great but the coffee wasnt upto mark. Cafe latte was so yuck idk how i drank it. This place had so many good reviews on zomato so we decided to try but didnt expect such experience. Cafe latte tasted like normal coffee with water being more in proportion. French fries were too salty. Though I told the chef that it was little salty but i didnt eat more tham 2-3fries. Never expected this from such a good place in kp. Being a cafe the coffee should be good.
Service - 5/5
Ambience - 5/5
Food - 2/5
Ps - I dont have photo of fries.

Very good, healthy, hygienic, great cuisine, lots of variety, quality dishes, all time day/night. Music, free wifi, hangout, party, celebration

I visit French Creperie regularly because the food is great and different from most cafes. Suneel's service is exemplary. He makes sure all the guests are comfortable. Great place to grab a coffee and get work done !

Craved for crepes one day and going by the name of it, thought to try it out.
Ordered for the Nutella and almonds crepe. It took about 30 mins to arrive and felt that it wasn't the authentic type of crepe that I was looking for. The Nutella was considerably less and also found it a little overpriced as well.

This used to me my most favourite evening place to go to but my today's visit after coming back to pune after 2 months was the worst and probably the last visit. The coffee was awfully bad and made on stove and they call it cafe latte. There staff was laughing and creating nuisance behind the counter making it difficult to sit in peace.

I dont think they have proper chef and operational kitchen anymore.
Apeksha Adme (serious_suppers)
It is a dinky little cafe, classy yet so adorbs. The ambiance of this place is so serene and soothing. One of the cafe in KP where you can be deliciously in peace. Besides, they have some board games here to kill your time and boredom.
Do try their recommended dishes Nutella Banana Crepe and Maple Syrup Waffle. These two dishes are definitely dainty and will satisfy your soul. I also had a 'Greek Salad'- consisting of tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, lettuce, olives and greek feta cheese. A perfect blend of toothsome ingredients, just the way I like.
And interestingly this is a pocket friendly place. The prices here are so economical for the food they offer. I left this place with a big smile and a satisfied tummy. :)

This is an easy going place. The French interior is delightful especially the upper seating. You can sip on your cup of coffee and spend calm quality time here.
The service is a little slow.
Menu, a great deal of Crepes to choose from, is bit pricey but some items are worth the money, especially the Breakfast options and Combos.
I ordered the veg crepe, which is cheese blended with potatoes. It was a bit bland in taste.
Then came The Nutella & Banana waffle which was super filling, totally amazing.
Parking can be a problem on high times.
Mallika Badjate
It's a cute little cafe located on a corner in lane 5 of koregaon park. The nutella crepe was delish and well it can't be bad cos after all it's nutella! The potato wedges were like any other place and were good. A nice place to visit

Pretty ambiance, amazingly vast menu, a hell lotta options and French Creperie is my favourite waffle hub!
I've had the Iced Sugar, Maple Syrup and Nutella Waffle.
The waffle by itself is crisp and yum at times and slightly on the soggy side at times. I guess it all depends on how the batter is made that particular day.
The iced tea here is not your usual powdered nestea or lipton iced tea. It's homemade and has a very different and refreshing flavour.
I think the place is very fairly priced, considering the amount of toppings they apply. Trust me, they're slightly extra generous! :)
I do love this place and just wish the waffle stays crisp and yummy, constantly. Otherwise, I have no complaints.
And yes, I keep going back for more!!

Visited for the second time yesterday (20Dec2016).
I must say that I have a new favorite in the savoury crepes!
The Maison crepe is absolutely amazing. The stuffing includes thinly sliced potatoes, caramelized onions, cheese (i think it was feta. it definitely tasted like feta), and a yummy spicy paste (that tasted like/resembles Moroccan Harissa). This combination is just so beautiful and delicious. We would reccommend this crepe to everyone!
The strawberry cooler was as delicious as it was cute.
We also took the chocolate chip pancakes. My husband seemed to like those a lot.

Service was a lot faster this time. The ambience and decor is beautiful, as always. If I could rate them higher than 5, I definitely would.
We are eagerly waiting to come here again , and try something new next time.

~~~~~
This was our first visit (19Nov2016). The decor and ambience is top notch! I think I spent a good 15 minutes just admiring it. They have really cute little white globular seats upstairs, and a selection of books to choose from (which is a good thing , in my opinion, because it took them a bit to bring us our food).
That being said, their staff is friendly, and professional.
The food was delicious, and worth the wait and the money.
We took the complete savoury crepe, the lychee and rose cooler, and the banana nutella crepe.
Very scrumptious. Very yum.
We'd definitely visit again (to indulge in their waffles, other savoury crepes, coolers, & milkshakes) , and we suggest that you give The French Creperie a try too.
P.S. they have free wifi! It was very convenient for us to share snaps of our lunch and lovely location instantly with our friends.
I paid this place a visit with a friend last week.The Place has one main problem and that is parking.Parking is really hard to find here.
The ambiance of this place is good.
The service is a little slow.
Coming to the food.We ordered Maple Syrup Waffles with Whipped Cream,Banana Nutella Crepe and Cafe Mocha.
The food was really good in taste❤☺ and also value for money for sure😁😁!
Lovely little place in KP. We ordered 4 crepes for the 3 of us and we were bloated. Literally couldn't have had any more. The crepes were well made with lovely toppings.
We ordered for the Chicken complete, Non Veg Mediterranean and potato cheese veg something ( can't remember). All 3 were spot on. No complaints whatsoever. Beverage ordered was Blue fruitcake milkshake- that was great too!
Had heard about the place for a while and finally got to visit the place. The place is big but not so crowded even on a sunday. I went there for a dessert and i was not disappointed with the place. I tried the banana nutella crepe which was amazing. Would like to visit the place once more for their english breakfast.
I was craving for good waffle for a long time and this place turned out to be an absolute bliss. Loved the quietness, taste and quality.
The only issue was with parking :)
Lobster Pasta Lady
A thoroughly delightful and easy-going place. Their Crepes are delicious. A great deal of options to choose from. The Menu is pretty pricey but some items are worth the money. You can sip on your cup of coffee and spend calm-quality time all by yourself. The décor is pretty and very French! Also, there is free Wi-Fi for the social addicts🤐.
Other Noteworthy Items On The Menu -
1. The Chocolate Fondue - Gooey and Lip Smacking
2. The Nutella & Banana Waffle - super filling, although the base tends to get too soggy.
3. Breakfast Options and Combos are a delight, you know where to head for a scrumptious brekky if you are in KP.
Ambience - (4/5) ; Food - (3/5) ; Budget Friendly (3/5)
The French Creperie has an aura of its own. Sometimes you need to stay away from the crowd - no loud music, not a lot of jibber-jabber but of course you want Good Food! If this is what you seek, then French creperie should definitely be on your list.
Been here a couple of times now and I can safely say they have one of the best apple pies in town; and the waffles, crepes and coffees are delicious!
The name gave me a feeling of it being a cozy bistro on a corner in Lane 5; it gave me a feeling that it will have light French jazz music. But, i expected too much.
Ambience: It s a nice place, with a very accommodating and friendly staff. There are small book racks in the corners for a quick read, there is a seating area in the loft (for want of a better word). I felt the place was not finished very well and seems to be incomplete in some way. It is too bright and white, and that colour hurts the eye after a while. The tables sem randomly placed, and too much space is left unoccupied throughout the crêperie, which can be a good thing if handled properly, there is a creative corner for people (read, kids) to draw/paint, classy glass jars with cookies at the cash counter. There are the usual motifs that say ' France'; the bleu-blanc-rouge, the Eiffel, ra ra, but, umm...
Coming to the menu, they offer a good variety of breakfast platters to choose from, fondues, crêpes, varieties of eggs.
We went for the English and the American breakfast with fresh fruit juice. It was sumptuous and filling. The omelettes were delicious, the juice was refreshing, the sausages were mouth-watering, and the hash browns were crispy and tasty. Not so nice were the baked beans, they were not cooked well, were cold, and didn't taste that good. Also, I would like to point out that the plating can be better. For a place with a classy name, the plating was shabby.
Overall, the place is nice with a lot of potential as the view and the location is fab. It gave me a feeling like the owner/management does not devote much time to the place. If the ambience can be re-looked at, it will be a lovely experience for the customers.
(PS: the washroom was not clean!)
Kris R
Ordered the carrot ginger juice bruschetta and the newly introduced cheese tub just out of this world. Awesomeness and a must have for cheese lovers. Was informed that there was also a non veg variant of the same.
A cosy and a homely place to hang out at with exceptional food.
Shreya Talavlikar
This is a great place with great ambience. I ordered the Nutella Waffle, Peanut Butter Waffle and Nutella and Peanut Butter Waffle. The Peanut Butter starts to feel really salty after a point of time. Nutella gets too sweet but the Nutella and Peanut Butter Waffle seems is just right. The Ice Tea is good, too. Staff is extremely friendly.
Rhea Thomas
It's a small little place in kp has an upper seating which is comfortable. They have corner shelf's with books to read for people who want a little peace and quiet, not very crowded.
Ordered a Nutella crepe was decent and a frozen Belgium hot chocolate (280/-) was neither hot nor cold, they put in ice to make it cold ended up melting and being really watery totally not worth the price either!
Joby Chacko
Cheese Fondue, Complete Crepe, Raspberry Soda ordered and was served with hospitality. The French taste authentic and tasty. Loved the place small space perfect relax environment hangout, would love to visit again to try out different crepes and waffles.
Reetuparna Das
Lured into this warm little joint on a chill Sunday night, I found it a little lower than my expectations. Really loved the cozy ambience, the Moulin Rouge painting was really spectacular, the stacked up books were of good taste and staff is really hospitable. We ordered 3 desserts, Apple Pie, to my disappointment which was a tad bit watery, then the fried ice cream, I personally liked it, but my friends felt was less sweet than expected, and finally the Chef's special Fruit Custard, which barely had custard, and was filled with apples and kiwis that didn't compliment the custard's texture or flavour. I would like to visit again to try their crepes and waffles, but for now I can't say I am impressed. The quality felt short of the claim that the appeal made.
Bon appetit
Loved the crepe here.A must try.
The ambience is lovely.
Reminds you of all things French.The Eiffel tower,
Moulin Rogue,The French flag.
A nyc place to hve a cup of cappuccino n get hold of a Paulo coehlo or a Franz Kafka n leisurely njoy a lazy Sunday.
It's a beautiful little white place with comforting lights and wall art. The piano themed staircase leads you to a beautiful mezzanine hangout.
I ordered the complete crepe, which is cheese blended with chicken and mushrooms -8/10
The country crepe which is chicken , feta and veggies- 6/10
The Mediterranean crepe- it had tuna, mushrooms and delicious continental herbs. 8.5/10
Overall- delicious and healthy
Visited this place on Sunday evening it was worth traveling 8 10kms
Very good interior
Amazing service
Menu is also good
We order waffles trust me guys it was the best waffles in town its a must visit place
This is a great place for those who prefer English breakfast. I have been traveling a lot and hence I love exploring for good breakfast. I found this one and went there few times for pan cakes, waffles and omlette. Little expensive but everything about this place is cool especially taste of food
So my hubby and I were looking to have a light lunch and we just passed by this place. Honestly the simple interiors, free wi-fi and parking availability made it an inviting place.
Cafés which have books and magazines just give them an edge saying "we won't kick you out the minute your are done eating". There is a small worktable for kids too.
So I ordered a complete savoury crêpe with a cup of tusli honey chamomile tea and my husband ordered a country savoury crêpe with orange soda.
My crêpe was all gooey chessey mushrooms and chicken so a cup of tea was a perfect side for gushing down all the rich food. The complete crêpe on the other hand was a Mediterranean salad like crêpe with generous amounts of feta cheese. My husband is easily put off by a sunny side up egg but he actually enjoyed the undercooked yolk as a salad dressing with the crepe.
The service was quick and courteous. On first glance I thought the food items were a little overpriced but the generous quantities of the fillings made me change my mind.
I wish we had more time to spend, so will be definitely going back here to try out more items.
This is just an awesome place to be if you are looking to spend a peaceful time. The people running the place are so friendly and cute 😋. I have had waffle with maple syrup, cappuccino and chocolate mousse and everything was simply amazing and would love to try everything on their menu.
Crepes are something I've fallen in love with recently. So anywhere I plan to go I first search for a place that serves crepes. One evening while roaming through the lanes of KP, I saw this place and my first instinct was I want to go there right now. So I went there and ordered Nutella Crepe, the texture and everything was good but the only disappointment was that the filling was not proper. Rest I liked the ambience of the place. The staff and everything.
Karisa Correa
The place has been taken over by other chefs.
The food quality seems to have downgraded;however the service is delightful.
Sadly,the place has lost its French touch to it.
Bon appetite,anyway.
Loove this place!!!
Try their Fontana --awesome
Crepe --awesomer , cold coffee -super cool
Apple pie -- great ..the music is really awesome and the ambience is quite cosy n colorful..!!
Food: 4/5
Ambience: 4/5
Beverages: 2/5
Service: 2/5
Pretty little cafe located in the heart of Koregaon Park. I've been here for lunch a couple of times and always order their Savoury Gallettes - Maison and Complete. I love the food but not the service so much. The staff seems a little disinterested and the wait is too long (45 minutes minimum). I've tried their frozen coffee and hot chocolate both were below average. On the upside they have free wifi! Make a visit when you're not short on time!
Amodini Arora
A humble place situated in Koregaon Park! The ambience is chic and modern! However the offerings weren't as impressive as has been reviewed by many! The nutella waffles were almost burnt, still not crisp enough....we could literally taste the batter(hard to eat and chew). The nutella and banana crepe, had way too many bananas and just nanoscopic traces of nutella adorning it! Basically a bad experience!
Anyone who's got a craving for waffles or crepes MUST go to French Creperie.
I'm a huge Nutella lover and this place has the most amazing Nutella crepe and Nutella & Banana crepe.
Plus, anyone who wants a place to sit quietly in a corner and work(they've got wifi) along with a cup of coffee, this is the right place to be.
(They should add some more options to their menu though.)
Mohit Pathak
The Place has good ambiance ( with many miniatures Eiffel towers greeting you) , music and some amazing coffee/waffles to offer. Be it a casual hang-out with your significant other or if you are with your friends, the place will not disappoint you.
The staff there are wonderful hosts.
PS: Please try to add some more good books in your collection, if you happen to read this. Cheers! :)
Perfect place to visit when you're craving desserts. The Nutella waffles are to die for. Perfect place for a nice evening outing to chill with your buddies.
As the name suggests...it's a French restaurant...and it's fantastic! The chefs are so friendly!
Unfortunately no pictures of the stuff I ate! But everything was really good!
Just be careful while reading the menu...a lot of things have egg in it... In case you are a vegetarian...
Go for the iced tea here... It's really good!
Located in the heart of Koregaon Park, French Creperie is your perfect fix of a slow relaxed coffee and crepes.
The interiors are very nouveau with black wire structures and a mason jar chandelier hung from the ceiling. A mural painting with the scenes of Moulin Rouge and Eiffel Tower that leads to a mezzanine floor underlines the international feel of this cafe. Being French, they take their cafe culture slow and so, the also offer free WiFi to customers to let them take their time to finish their cuppa. I certainly wasn't in a hurry!
The menu is more suited to those with a sweet tooth, but do they have some salads and other savoury offering. The crepes and waffles can be found paired with maple syrup, peanut butter, Nutella and a lot more.
The waffles here are done just right - Balancing between the crispy outer layer and soft, spongy middle. I ordered the Nutella version, and was happy to find a lot more of it than I expected. The chocolate hazelnut goodness fills in each and every cavity of the waffle. At one point it will certainly feel wrong to be eating so much of it, but whilst in this French cafe you can't help but vivre la vie!
I didn't want to write a review after the first time we went, as we went on a particularly hot day and their AC had decided on that particular day to conk off. It was not a pleasant experience and I didn't want to be influenced by that in my review.
The first time we had between us a crepe with cheese and potatoes (maison) and a crepe called completè and a frozen hot chocolate (yes that's what it says on the menu!). The chocolate was phenomenal, absolutely loaded with real cinnamon. The crepe itself was nice, but stingy with the sauce. What I ate on a hot non-ac day was a dry crepe loaded with salty cheese and dry potatoes. It was a struggle finishing it off. The second time around I had a nutella and peanut butter crepe. Now I had high hopes for this. But again they had scrimped on the nutella. Looking at what we were being charged, there's absolutely no reason to scrimp! This time around the frozen hot chocolate had very little cinnamon. Where's the consistency guys? Twice disappointed now! One would think, a French-owned place wouldn't go wrong with crepes but here I am writing this review!
So........I visited the place with some friends and the first thing i liked about the place is the ambience, great music and good lighting. The staff was unique, very responsive and courteous. Coming to the food, the menu definitely needs to be updated and my only suggestion would be for the crepes ingredients to be changed maybe with the flour or the other unknown ingredients....I would visit every other day for the waffles and cappuccino
Went for a late night crepe craving. Had the nutella banana crepe. Was tasty and filling. Loved the ambience. Service was good. Will try the waffles in my next visit.
This creperie had an amazing rating on zomato and that's how I ended up going there. Ordered for a Nutella banana pan cake. The staff was all French and African. It looked pretty as well. So I thought I've come to a great place. To my horror, the crepe that came was made of maida! It was hard and I was unable to even break it...I've had so many crepes everywhere but not something like this at a place that boasts of serving French crepes and waffles! Although the staff was kind enough to not charge me for it but they need to know the right recipe so as to attract long term customers.
Located in lane five near nature's basket in koregaon park, this place lives up to its names crepes... Pune needed a place where authentic French breakfast was served and that's when French creperie jumped into the picture... the hosts are lovely n funny n probably French which I didn't get to ask as I was too busy with the food... the crepes are good and so are the deserts so it's a thumbs up from me...
So ive been wanting to visit this place for quite sometime now. Yesterday was finally the day! I'm a sucker for crepes. I absolutely love them. I tried the banana Nutella crepe there. And it was super delicious. It had a lot of Nutella and a lot of banana pieces. I was pretty full after the lunch id had so sadly couldn't try another crepe.
But going there super soon to try their other crepes.
Do visit this place is u like crepes.
It's a cute little place with nice staff and great waffles!
Ambiance is great and you have books to read. Although the staff seems disinterested and service is not upto the mark. It a bit expensive but you got to know what to and not to eat. Coffee was good. We tried out tuna salad which was ok. I wish we hadn't ordered Cheeze Fondo, it just has bread pieces to work around the cheeze which was not quality. Only thing we really liked were waffles, we had the Nutella one.
This place had been on my list since a long time!! So one fine day after so much of planning, finally landed up here to try some waffles. The moment you enter, the first thing you notice how pleasantly the place has been done and such sweet people to greet you! I'm in love with cozy cafes like this! We ordered a cappuccino and some to-die-for Nutella waffles! I'm not kidding, but these were probably one of the best Nutella waffles I've ever had! Nutella heaven it was! Definitely recommend them!
Been here only once. Tried their nutella and peanut butter crepe along with a café latte. The crepe was really good. Very light and fluffy . And the coffee was also nice with the right consistency of coffee and milk.
The peanut butter and Nutella waffle was yum ! Nothing can go wrong with such a classic combination. The prices could be a little lower but the waffle was good!
Went here on a Thursday evening wanting to drink something cold and it was worth it . The ambience is lovely and they kept playing my favourite tracks and there's this poster inside of the Eiffel tower which is a beauty to behold , they have a few books kept aside for reading as well and they have free Wi-Fi .
The staff is friendly and very courteous, lovely people . We ordered for a cold frappe with milk and a garys cold coffee which was listed under the specials . Both were brilliant . We also ordered for a banana and nutella crepe and it was absolutely lovely .
It's a nice place to head out to and just chill and do your work . Lovely place guys. Keep it up .
This place has a French connection, the interiors, the food obviously & also the head chef Mr. Tinard who is a wonderful host. Located on lane-5 in KP hosts wide range of authentic French cuisine. We tried the ABC juice which was really refreshing.. Along with that we had Greek salad & tuna salad in entrée. The main course crepes comprising of there dishes names Occitane & Complete. The The crepes were filling with loads of cheese. In the dessert we had was waffle with maple syrup n cinnamon & banana Nutella pancake. The food is good & pricing is decent. This place surely make you relax & bring good old French memories
This is a small and cozy place, and the ambience suits the food the serve. As the name suggests, most of the mains are crepe based.
In the Entrees, I opted for the tuna salad, and the tomato basil bruchetta. Bot were evenly balance but found it dry for my liking.
In the mains tasted the Complete Savory, and Cheese trio. The stuffing was again well balance but lacked flavour.
The pick of the day were the fresh soft drinks they serve, and the Belgium chocolate Waffle.
- - French Creperie - Koregoan Park
The name itself says it all, A small French restaurant that serves variety of crepes :)
Nice cozy place with some good fresh juices, Bruschetta, Salads and Waffles.
***Tomato Basil Bruschetta - Toasted bread topped with freshly chopped veggies and herbs was a definitely a winner for me and was left wanting for more.
***Tuna and Greek salad - chunks of veggies, cheese and and herbs. Tuna salad was a fav among all with ample of tuna to savour.
***Belgium Chocolate and Banana - I had a bite of it and totally loved it...definitely visit them over the weekend for this :) I have always had waffles with maple syrup but then after having this I guess m changing my preferences :p
They serve "Ardeshir's" soda (raspberries & icecream) - correct me if m wrong!!
USP of the place -
> Everything is freshly made and you see it getting prepared with the open kitchen they have.
> Service definitely needs an applaud..serving 30 hungry foodies and their demands was a challenge for them and they did pretty well :)
> A place you can consider for a date over some waffles and salad :p
> they serve #FreePani & has #FreeWifi (Airtel 4G) ;) some books to read and has a smoking zone outside :p
And apart from food u should not miss the unique dishware they have (Artistic), the painting along the staircase ;) :)
#French_Creperie #Koregoan_Park
Horrid - that's how my experience was. We ordered one cappuccino, one blackcurrant tea, cappuccino frappe and one peach iced tea. Starting with cappuccino it was fine but just warm. Secondly the quantity what you get for 100 bucks is pathetic. Coming to blackcurrant the taste was good but they don't mention it on the menu that it is a typhoo tea bag. So their effort is only adding boiled water. This broke my expectation of a house prepared tea of theirs. Peach iced tea had no tea - it was water with sugar and ice and some strange odor. Cappuccino frappe came without sugar and it was hot - supposed to be chilled. 3 waiters came to us none having any idea about the menu. Then two girls maybe the co-owners came up and again had a difficult time answering on menu questions. On complaining about the severely damaged quality of their products a guy came up and argued to make the drink better rather than canceling the order. We agreed and again the product that came back was nothing but even more pathetic. we left everything as a waste except cappuccino which was fine. Horrible service, horrible drinks. Extremely unpleasant with a 600 pinch to my wallet.
Would have given 4.5 stars... But im resisting myself to do so... Only reason being, it's quite overpriced... Though I accept it may b cz of cream location... Still its little overpriced...
However I've got a sweet tooth n their nuttella banana Crêpe really attracts me every tym I visit here...
Had just wandered in while taking an aimless stroll, and was greeted by friendly staff in a nice, cozy, homely cafe. Ordered a Cafe Latte to begin with. Soon after ordering, was served a hot simmering cup if coffee topped with foaming milk. It's served without the sugar being mixed in, so if you like your coffee without sugar, just have it with the contrast of the bitter coffee and the mild milk.
That was followed by the complete combo of crèpe - with mushrooms, poached egg and chicken ham. That was fantastic. Too bad just one serving filled me up else would have asked for one more serving.
Did not get a chance to sample their sweet crèpes this time around, that will be a tale for another time.
I have wandered by this place on a near daily basis since it opened and I had high hopes for a great place to eat. My wife and I finally stopped in yesterday. The restaurant is bright and cheery and the food was excellent (I had a waffle and my wife had a savory crepe).
Unfortunately, I had to cancel the eggs I had ordered to have with the meal when I finished the waffle. The beverages we ordered (juice, lime soda, cappuccino) didn't arrive until even later yet (45 minutes with no explination until the bill came). I'm sorry you were having equipment problems (what equipment impacts all three of those beverages is beyond me). We would have simply changed drink orders had we been offered the chance but here's a news flash: an apology after the fact is a poor substitute for good service. Still, maybe with more staff than customers at this time, the employees were just disorganized and all hope wouldn't be lost . . .
Alas, once I watched the cook taste something (that's a good thing) then put the spoon from her mouth back in what was being prepared for a customer (that's a bad thing) I knew The French Creperie isn't my kinda place. Too bad, especially given how good the food was
This place was on my bookmark list for a long time. I mean come on when the name of a place is after a dessert you got to visit it right ! :)
It is located in the restaurant/cafe capital of koregaon park and is like a stone throw distance from The French Window patisseerie(visit pending).
The place has two stories , ample seating space and very jolly owners cum chefs.
We visited on a sunday evening and the place was empty. I was rather surprised because the zomato rating is a lot and was expecting a lot of people.
Nonetheless, we got ourselves a place and dived into the sea of desserts, this place had to offer.
After a lot of soch-vichar (thought), we ordered the crepe with peanut butter and nutella, and waffles with honey and bananas.
First came the crepe - the place's namesake. For those of you who dont know, crepe is a very thin pancake made of wheat flour or buckwheat. It was humble looking from outside but had loads of nutella and peanut butter inside, the chef was very generous. The crepe was not sweet on its own but the Nutella and peanut butter made up for it. It was soft and yum.
Next came the waffles , all majestic and beautiful. A medium sized waffle with a generous amount of honey and loads of banana on top. It was crisp and drippy and tasty.
Apart from the food, the best part about the place are the owners/chefs , they are so friendly and sweet.
The ambience is that of a very relaxed cafe, so show - sha.
With regard to the staff, I saw just two chefs and one more guy, so I am not sure how the place copes up when the cafe is full.
Also, the place is not cheap so watch out for the prices.
Overall - Go for the waffles , sweet chefs and relaxed ambiance !
It's been a few years I've been searching for a perfect dessert place in Pune.. Always had to settle for ice creams instead... But finally found a match today... The desserts here are amazing! We ordered Chocolate Fondant.. It took a little time but they freshly baked it for us and served it hot!...
Pune didn't fail to surprise me with its amazing food joints. French creperie is a quaint, wonderful place with amazing crepes and delicious tea.
The peanut butter and nutella crepe is a must try.
I've had three things here so far: the Nutella crepe (multiple times), waffles with maple syrup, and the jasmine tea. Taste and quantity I'm very, very happy with. The Nutella crepe is by far one of the best crepes I've had so far. The ambience is great. The waffles were nothing different from what you get at other restaurants. The tea was good. Will definitely try something different the next time.
Fantastic food, even better service & excellent ambience. A high quality, yet no frills cafe that the city much needed.
Their dark chocolate mousse is the *the best mousse* in the city -- free of any sugar (not to be sugar free -- more to maintain the darkness of the chocolate), and with only cinnamon to cut the chocolate; this is creamy, rich & dark.
Ditto for the chocolate fondant (with finishing salt added on top), absolutely the best in the city. As the chef said it: "We didn't set out to be a dessert place, but we tasted all the other "lava cakes" in the city and none of them do it right. My wife decided to fix that". Heh! Love the friendly arrogance.
And the rotund chef, Jerome, is so much fun! He will sing & dance to the french songs playing while making his crepes, put on a show to demonstrate how the apples for the crepe should be caramelized, chat about his life history and scandalize the ladies at the table too :)
We're going to be back *a lot*.
A must visit for all those who love crepes, pies and chocolate fondants!
The best part about this place is its chef/ owner , who happens to b at the counter as well , and will serve you at your table with all smiles !
Well you see, he does not merely bake things .. He adds his very own magic !
Haha true ... He casts a spell on the food and on all those at his little cafe, making everything just so jovial and happy! The food itself becomes more delicious! Haha ... Don't believe me? Give it a try and you too will fall under his happy-go-lucky spell!
Love this place!
In addition to be good chefs, Jérôme and his wife are very funny and friendly. I would strongly recommend the French Creperie if you want to share a yummy crepe and end by an authentic black coffee.
Good ambience with nice authentic French cuisine. Crepes were really very good and so was the Fondue. Average coffee. Great hospitality as the owner is the master chef himself and gives personal touch to every preparation.
Nostalgic for crêpes? Then a visit to the French Crêperie is a must. Located on Lane 8 in Koregaon Park opposite Godrej Nature's Basket, this light-filled, airy restaurant is open daily and closed on Mondays. The service here is friendly and efficient.
Savoury and sweet crêpes are available with assorted fillings. I liked the cheese crêpe which had four different kinds of cheeses inside and the toothsome Nutella and bananas.
There are assorted drinks like freshly squeezed juices, milkshakes, teas and coffees. My favourite is the cappuccino frappé which surpasses all the other cold coffees in the city. The first sip is similar to the first slug of chilled beer on a hot summer's day. Nurse this mug of ambrosia slowly as you eat a crêpe or waffle and dream.
Often on weekends pound cakes, vanilla or chocolate, are made. Grab one as it is the best plain cake you will find sold in Pune. Redolent with real buttery flavour, nibble on it for a week, but it will finish much quicker.
Crêpe anyone?
I am a total foodie, French Cuisine has always fascinated me. A person like me who has some knowledge of French food and a fan of Crepes can definitely suggest this place to everyone... Totally worth if you want to taste French food. It was my first visit and with a single bite I knew they have done it right. I will keep visiting the place and I am sure my rating will even cross 5***
I study in an international school in Pune, and this is definitely a place I will recommend to my French friends. The owner was so warm and friendly, and the food was superb! The cafe mocha was one of the best coffees I have had in Pune... and I have had a lot! Had the bruschetta, cheese fondue and bonne maman crepe- all wonderful. Will definitely come again.
Just love the ambience. The place makes me never want to leave. Peaceful and happening at the same time yet distinct. I tried the tuna salad and banana crepes which were really tasty. The show stellar was the apple banana juice.
It's an amazing place to enjoy French Cuisine at an affordable price. From the Salads to the Desserts, everything on their menu is an absolute bliss to taste. And the cherry on the cake is the fact that they customise their dishes as per their customer's choice.
So where do I start?
The French Creperie operates in an environment like no other in the city...probably even the country. Being neighbour to some of the city greats it gives you food out of a small studio kitchen operated solely by two chefs who know their stuff like no other in pune.
Two of us went to eat and ordered the hummus plate and nutella almond crêpes and my my. The hummus could compare to none I've ever had in pune. And the crêpes were the just the right amount of crisp and mellow which complemented the nutella and almond like a good Naan with butter chicken.
They are also introducing a few new relishes and jams through a local producer and as much as it may not appeal to most by the sound of it, but the guava marmalade is off the hook.
I'll keep going to the place and tell everyone I know about it. Easily the most memorable cafe in Pune, Hands Down!!!
Ever since I have gone to France, I craved Nutella crepes since coming back. This place has given me that perfect Nutella crepe that I missed for the past half decade. Cant believe it took me this long to visit them, but I am sure that it wasn't my last visit there either. And the ambience too is just beautiful. Its a very nice small place and the crew is really friendly and homely, just how they are in France. Waiting to go back there :)
