Decent place for bachelor to dine in on everyday basis. Food is good. Can eat. Food is thali kinda thing and you can order parathas as well. It's pretty affordable.

A humble place near Konark Nagar. The road heading to this place gives you a clear idea of how "smart city" tag is helping Pune as this is the only road, which can help you in digesting your food.

As this is a budget outlet, so ambiance is nothing to talk about. Simple plastic table chairs and they do have a wash basin.

I had ordered aalu paratha and even though it took time to be served but once served, I understood that it was worth waiting for. The paratha was soft and had decent filling of aalu. The edges were also soft and because of the butter and curd, it tasted delicious. For Rs. 50, not a bad deal.

The owners are sweet to talk to.

Overall:
Food: 3.5/5
Ambiance: 3/5
Service: 3/5
Vue for Money: 3.5/5
Worse owner and pathatic service. She is being Soo arrogant that she is giving food for free. Total unhygienic place. After telling the old lady politely she arrogantly telling who told you u can go somewhere else
Abhishek Talokar
The place serves simple food which u can eat on daily basis very cheap and pocket friendly the taste is good . The auntie is really welcoming and loving.
Hardik Rajesh Vyas
Very affordable and good quality of food...love its Paratha Thali - 80/- RS (4paratha,2sabji,daal,sahi,rice)
Chapati Thali- 70/- RS
PAYTM available

if you want cheaper , plain , simple , then come here . It is nice to your tummy as well as your pocket. The owner is quite nicer as she keeps on asking if we need anything , love the homely feeling .

Okay.. let me first tell you it is not a fancy food place, so don't expect it to be like one. It won't match the ambulance standards and stuff.
But it does serve some really good food (specially parathas) in a budget.
Pratistha Pradhan
Budget friendly with a very prompt service. This is a provision for a homely meal away from home. The food is fresh and less oily. Major outlet for student n bachelor's. Tried their paratha thali, normal veg thali and aloo paratha.

To us this seemed to be one of the most reasonably priced restaurant in Viman Nagar area unless one wants flashy ambience & fine approach road which as of now is missing with it. But then if one wants to satiate hunger with simple food in less budget I think at times one should be ready to forego elite ambience. Less ambience does not mean they not taking care of cleanliness. It is there.

We happened a few weeks before here in the night. Just reached before it was to close. Ordered Butter Roti Thali & Paratha Thali. One can order rotis/pranthas' in lieu of additional rice too, so did they do on our request. There were three dishes - one sukhi & 2 other with gravy along with curd. Was sufficient enough for dinner hunger bytes.

Price wise as mentioned above amazingly as of now low in this area. Run by old couple. Nice but lady at monitoring side was seen as strict in tone but while leaving for the day, she ensured to say bye to all seated there which is seldom seen anywhere. Good thing 👏

Noticed prompt service. Even if it was going lax at times, lady at counter ensured its correction to become customer oriented. 😊

I think i may visit it again.

People are talking about ambiance.. Guys its dining place with a very healthy amount. If you are staying in PG or Hostel.. Its a best option for you to have a homely food. Delivery is bit slow.. But we can let it go after eating the quality food. Kudos

I don't agree with many of the review written here, this is an absolute best place to have lunch/dinner were you get an homely feeling. The thaali served here is very decent and also good quantity I would say to get your stomach full. The main USB of this place is Piping hot Chapatis/Parathas which I doubt you wont get anywere in Viman Nagar much better than the South Indian Mess, Agreed the owner lady at times get angry but she is very sweet and good nature.

I had been occasionally ordering food from this place considering the ingredients were fine to my taste.

The lady or owner is very polite when u visit the place however the case is not the same when u order online.

My roomate ordered breakfast early morning and when i did same for my lunch the lady over the phone gave me a rude reply that you should order one time only. We cannot deliver food at same place multiple time. What on this earth is wrong with this lady. Can't we order multiple times and that to i was ordering for my lunch.

Such restaurants shall be not allowed to operate on ground of behavior.

We used to eat here regularly. One day we found a dead cockroach in the food and since then none of us visit this place. Not healthy, nor hygienic.
Saurabh Gulekar
Average place .ambience is not up to the mark

Menu is limited
Had visited this place with a frnd as it was very late in the night
Food was okay and moderately priced

Unless you're on an extremely tight budget and your health standards bar is not set too high, this place is a compromise that is just not worth it.
I'm frankly shocked reading some of the reviews describing it as "ghar ka khana", "good, humble food" and "the home away from home". In my honest opinion, it would be insulting to define this as home-food. It's more like sasta-kaam-chalau-food and by opting for which, you would be compromising not just on the taste, but possibly on your health as well. Their subzis are loaded with an unhealthy amount of oil. I literally had to spend 15 minutes back at home scraping off all the excess oil floating on top.
The basic gravy also had a completely commercial taste (not the good kind). It had hints of tasting a lot like the ready-made packet masalas. Not something you want when you're looking for actual home-style food. Don't know about the thali but I'm guessing the base gravy would be the same disappointing one for most subzis. The thali is dirt-cheap no doubt, at 50/60 bucks a plate but would you really choose cheap over taste and health?

The seating too, is quite shabby. Being right next to the dug up road, there's dust bound to be blowing past, plus there's an abundance of flies and mosquitoes.

Also there need to be some corrections made to their zomato page:
1) They are NOT pure vegetarian(they serve dishes with eggs)
2) They are Not Air conditioned. Air conditioned? LOL. Far from it! Just some shabby looking chairs and tables right by the roadside.

Frankly, don't be fooled by the goody goody reviews of this place. Take it from someone who really values home-food, you're not gonna find it here. Not even close. You're better off trying Chaitanyas or something

#UntilNextTime.

This place is worst I have ever been in my life. Food is bad. The owner is rude and cheat. Do not go even you DO NOT have an option. Giving one rating as there is no zero.

This is the first place that comes to my mind when I have to have a healthy meal. The Thali here is the best thing that can happen to a student living on a budget. Good humble and simple food.

Rasoi at Vimannagar, Pune is one of the best place for home style Thali and yummy Paratha and more . I always visit this place if I am around at Vimannagar area and enjoy my food because I am away from my home , my Mum and Dad, I feel very happy once I meet another Mum and Dad at Rasoi who runs this place. Thank you Uncle, Mataji, Chef Vilkram and your team.

Value for money food
Paratha's good
Thali will give you a kick of home cook food.
Good for a daily basis.
Light on pocket and good in taste.
Chirag Barjatya
Good place to have lunch or dinner. Almost home cooked food. Try thali here or any paratha. They make veg biryani little differently, you should try.

Ambience 2/5 a little unhigienic but food worth the money u r putting in.50bucks for veg roti thali gives u ample amount of eating stuff.but service z pretty slow.good for hostel kids but for working professionals or couples not recommended at all.
Sohini Sadhukhan
Anytime I feel to have something homely and filling this is the place. The thalis are really good. Extremely pocket friendly. I would mostly go for kohlapori n tandoori roti. This place has never bought me down.
Arti Chetwani
This place is great, just love their thali's. Simple, home cooked food. Every time I visit Pune, I always dine here. My personal favorites are Butter paneer, the parata's & all chinese dishes (they are really delicious, must try!).

This place is known for good old home cooked food at a reasonable price in the expensive city of Pune.

As for the customer service, I know the "lady" for many years and she's never been rude, in fact she has quite an inspirational story and has always been very lovely to deal with - the Uncle is lovely as well!
Aditi Halder
It's a decent place to have healthy and homely food in an affordable price.
Rasoi, is an attraction for students in Viman Nagar, who visit the place for daily meals.
The Owner supervises the happenings in the kitchen, keeping the quality upto standards!
Hence, if one is looking for a light and affordable meal, this is the place to go to!
Ash
It's a small place in viman nagar with limited space. It is more of a stall then a restaurant. But what they lack in space they more than make up in food. Food is great. Tandoori roti here is better then some of the best places in pune. And it is very pocket friendly. Give u a nice homely feel, I am sure a lot of regulars will agree

Chidansh Choudhary
The foods okay, nothing special about it. The foods low priced, but all the sabzis are prepared in the same gravy and masalas.

In addition very disappointed with their owner, that lady is very rude and doesn't know how to treat their customers. She just wants to argue.

Very bad experience of this place, I really wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. If you're comfortable with taking shit then feel free to visit this place.
ABHISHEK KUMAR GUPTA
Good tasty food. Budget Restaurant.
Ambience lover, please avoid.
Nice service as well.
You can find good home made kind of food here. So in case you are in mood to try some homemade kind of stuffs then you can visit this place.
Pratibha Verma
Probably the cheapest food in viman nagar that is good in quality as well as taste. A lot of students and working professionals in area visit this place daily because it's affordable. The parathas are really good. The thali has enough quantity of food to fill your stomach just in 50 rs. But I didn't like the curry and dal they gave. So I would recommend only the parathas and breakfast.
Utsav Dutta
The food is relatively pocket-friendly but at the expense of taste.

All preparations of curries are almost same and include a lot of raw masalas in the process.

Wouldn't want to visit unless I am too concerned about my pocket.
Prashant
Plain and simple thats the way it is.
You will not find a place to sit between 8 till 930 as people from every age group comes here to dine in. Very good and fresh food it's almost nearest to the home cooked meal.
Siddharth Purandare
One of the best homely food available in viman Nagar.. The quantity nd the quality is also very good.. Even the services like home delivery is also in time but the only problem there is the owner very rough and careless in talking nd asking things.. They should learn how to talk to the customers as everyone needs respect before food.
Manish Kumar
Good place to have lunch and almost similar to home cooked food. Good food specially buttermilk its awesome.serving takes time but that's fine as food is hot and on demand cooked
Rahul Mohan
If you are fed up having all the expensive American food and want to have some affordable home cooked food , this is the place to visit.

Service takes a while but by the time it's served you are hungry enough to gobble up :P
A must try for all students
Manoj Kumar
It's a small place but food is good. Thalli is very good and allu paratha, methi partha is alsso very good. Egg masala is very good. Its very cheap rate.
Mahendra Chavan
Its a small place with a good food . if ur looking for a normal light lunch then go and have a thali . its really good . its always crowded in evening so u may have to wait till half and hour to get a place . nice place . it only lack in place .
Archit Chaubal
One of the only restaurants to have survived since its inception in viman nagar, Rasoi is a small restaurant that serves to 20ppl at a time.
Offering the cheapest thali, you don't really expect much out of it.
Vaibhav Sawant
One if the worst places ever. Food quality is average but the worst part is that the staff is really arrogant and They will lie to your face, and cancel your order without any notice. Ughhh worst experience.
Sukesh Jadhav
Food quality worth to his price , don't expect food ambiance. You will get home delivery your daily tiffin ☺️
Vaibhav Gade
