Review Chandralok Garden Restaurant - Pune

Food is ok, service is slow, even if you call the captain they do not listen in one voice. Most of the boys over there are standing but do not respond to your request.

It now "Plant Lounge & Cafe". The ambience is very good. Open garden with live music. Food quality is awesome. Sheesha is good. Mutli cuisine, IMFL, foriegn liquors variety with choice of ordering full bottle. Service is bit slow as this may be new staff. Over all great place to chill out with friends and family.

Chandralok Restaurant is quite good when it comes to food and drinks around that part of the city . With multiple sitting and area options as gazebo, AC dining , open dining and Garden with Bar . The food here is quite excellent and drinks are good too . Over all a good place for your friends and family gathering .

Honestly I was bit upset with ambience when I entered the place.. later to know that place is under renovation currently. But.. all that doesn't glitter can also be gold! Loved the food here.. taste is really on point. Staff is polite and food suggestions are good as well. Moderate cost. Try it once .. not for ambience but for food quality & taste

I'd booked a table here on my husband's birthday...l was planning to get a cake from outside but because of the traffic I couldn't. So last minute I asked the manager if they could arrange a cake and he promptly said yes . The ambience,the live music show and the food was amazing. To my surprise,the cake was very tasty and while we're cutting the cake, and struggling with selfies, their in house photographer arrived to our rescue. All in all, the birthday celebration and dinner was very good...I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

The Food is really good here, specially nonveg. Veg dishes seems and tastes bit common can be improved much. Nonveg food and mainly starters are delicious. The atmosphere is amazing. The service should be improved for family section, also more ventilation access to be improved. On weekend service can be improved along with staff.

Good Quality ingredients that were used for the Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka biryani that I had ordered. A very supportive staff and also a prompt resolution addressed by the Owner Amit himself. A must visit. Lovely and delicious food. Great ambience.

Have been to this place couple of times in the past however the visit this time was very disappointing. We ordered Chicken Chingari, the presentation was good however the actual food was very bad. The chicken was stale and half cooked. The naan was was also not good. Brought this to the notice of waiter, however no one acknowledged that. It seems they all were in rush to close the restaurant.<br/>Very disappointed, turned me off completely.

On earth, this moon-like world is indeed paradise to folks & frenzy. I went there to meet some of my besties to watch some cricket. I hate cricket but that I seemed to have like watching that game, probably I was watching it in Chandralok; rather on Chandralok (on the moon for beginners).<br/><br/>Here’s a special mention for the top management, I remember an instance we had ordered for beer & it came about 10-15 minutes. We instantly had them apologise to us for the same; that takes hospitality & seriousness to a new level. I am indeed impressed & will be a partronising Chandralok regularly...

Worst hookah ever. Anyone reading this shouldn't go if they love hookah. It'll just ruin your mood..food is also not good. and alcohol is costly. Places are tooooo comfy; that they make you feel sleepy. And if you choose tree side place to sit; mosquitoes will be pleased to serve you for the night 😁

Letargic service. Non cooperative and at times, a bit rude, the staff was unresponsive to the customer requests . Really a bad experience. Food was okay and ambience was a lil disappointing, a lil cozy though. Overall the experience was just pathetic. At times it felt like the waiters were deliberately ignoring the requests.

Good place for hangout with friends.. go there in happy hours.. you can watch sports and music is good... Price is reasonable.. Hukka lovers will like this place for sure. Food is good.. but I think you have more options outside.

We ordered 2 hookah (buy 1 get 1 offer)both hookah was bad from starting , when we told to call manager he said the manager is not here and finally they did not changed the flavour and were rude. And I suggest all not to visit this place. As they were arguing, And were laughing afterwards.

An average place , if you are planning for a round of sheesha.. the ambience is okay. Hooka rates are very reasonable as per the ambience and the location of this restaurant. Food quality is also on an average. Overall, a good place to hangout with.

The place is okayish and the ambience isn't very great. There are alot of mosquitoes in that area too.<br/>Their service is very slow, we had to wait for our order for around 20 mins that too in the heat, as it was an open ground.

This is the first place in karve nagar which I liked the most.<br/>Service is prompt. Staff is very polite n active.<br/>The best part was the open ambience in winters!!!<br/>Soothing, quiet and silence. No loud music.<br/>One month back they started with sheesha.<br/>Best sheesha. You basically don't have to wait for coal to get changed.<br/>Food was nice. Back with a fantastic review. Visited Chandralok restuarant today with family...the food was awesome...and definately a place to revisit. We tried Charkori chicken....chichen chilli....the kids enjoyed...We missed having sweet dish...Mr. Udit.co-owner met us and we had a good chat. Its always good to meet the business owners it adds a special value to the place.

Starting off with the negative points, bad service...you'd sit there for half an hour and no one would serve you even a glass of water, they bring your order late, and dont pick the dishes even after you're done...<br/>The food tastes good but comes in small portions <br/>Overall , go there only if you've got a group of people who've got godlike patience

One of my favourite restaurant guyz. Ambiance here is so good. I prefer nonveg food here. I just loved it mostly lal mans and bbq chiken fry are my personal favourite. Mostly on costlier side but every penny worth it😀

Disappointing experience. So main reason is ambiance. It was nothing like it's shown in the picture. No outdoor seating, no beautiful lighting. Felt like entering in some bar type restaurant. <br/>Service was slow. First of all there was nobody to receive the guest and guide to the table. <br/>Food is okay, not so tasty or delicious to visit one more time. <br/>

One of the few places in Karvenagar with such a great ambience. The place serves sheesha as well. The place isn't too great for meals, but the starters are good. Recommended for a quick bite. The gravy dishes are expensive with less quantity.

Very nice makeover of the restaurant. Ambiance is way too much better than the earlier version. Food quality, cutlery, service even rates are improved. Also they have this children's play area which keeps your kids busy and gives you quality time with your family or spouse. We are regular customers of this restaurant. Keep it up guys!

Again the magic of ambience overpowers the food and help them to increase their ratings.<br/>They have sections by the way.<br/>If you want to sit upstairs in the lounge then 'compulsory' you have to order "उंची चिजे", Like you are sitting upstairs you know, उंचे लोग उंची पसंद.<br/>Anyways,<br/>We ordered<br/><br/>Paneer Khurchan-<br/>The combination of cashew nuts and tomato gravy actually made it fab,the cottage cheese tomato, bell papers supported them very well.<br/>But paneer that dude was believed in negative marking. Good location, great service! Ample parking space too. The bright and colourful decorations will surely uplift your mood any day. One of my favourite places for coffee in town. A little noisy when there's a wedding/reception ceremony at the lawns next to it.<br/>Try their tripleX fries, chicken manchurian and cheese garlic naan. The masala garlic bread on their newly introduced menu is also delish with a lovely combination of toppings. If none of the above dishes appeal to you, you can still just visit for the coffee!

Visited restaurant after long time. Completely renovated and very nice ambience now. My kid loved it, as restaurant has huge open place. Staff is friendly and service is nice. Food is very good specially kebab.

This restaurant is becoming one of my favourite restaurant. We went there twice and had a best time with respect to ambience, food and yes service too. They had some nice food festivals too which are really awesome. I recommed this place for everyone families, friends and office parties.

Visited this place for lunch... we wer the only customer in the entire hotel.. this place is not much clean n well maintained.. it has indoor n garden seating.. we ordered chicken.. chicken Hundi was really sad.. it has no taste n it jus had 4-5 small peices... food was average service slow!

Visited this restaurant after almost 8 years. It's totally revamped and has much better ambience now. Being next to a river the place can be quite cold in season and even otherwise. Coming to the food, I've always liked their chicken tandoori and even after so many years its just the same, fantastic. The finger chips were non oily and crispy. We tried murgh chakori in main course which is their spicier version of butter chicken, had thick gravy with succulent pieces of chicken. Prices are on the higher side and quantity on the lower. However, food is nice.

Seems they had little dose from left over booze.<br/>Food ok. Ice cream was served in a bowl which was used for soup and had taste/particles of soup.<br/>Parking is ample (big plus for nowadays).<br/>Smell of nearby river/canal is prominent.

Food was gud but their super slow service will ruin all your satisfaction. Be prepared to wait for hell lot of time to be attended by the management especially weekends: a big turn off!!

Amazing place for dinner. Ambiance is very nice.<br/>Overall rating goes to Taste. Whatever we ordered, had great taste. <br/>Prices are bit high but you will find it worth due to taste.<br/><br/>Issues: less variety like big hotels. (Doesn't matter for first visit)<br/>This place is recently revamped, so they must be working on bringing on more food items.<br/><br/>Chandralok team, get some more food items, we will visit soon.

Worst experience. The only good thing about this restaurant is ambeince. Quantity served is not even close to price. Waiters here gives false promise about quantity before ordering. Not recommended at all for its false promises.

We ordered a Yakina shorba soup and Chicken makhrana kebab for starters. The kebabs were kind of stale. The soup wasn't good. In general, the lamb dishes here are not worth tasting! This I say from my past experience here. The main course included butter chicken and butter naan since usually butter chicken is a safe option ;-) and they messed that up too. The food is not at all good. <br/>The vegetarians ordered the veg platter and hara bhara soup. The veg soup was tasty. The platter was fine.<br/>The ambience was nice. Posted pictures for the same!

Very very... Very slow service. If you are ordering parcel, do it at least 90 min before and be prepared to eat food that has already gone cold. Ordered parcel a few times and was getting more and more disappointed every time with the overall service. Not going to order food from here again. There are a lot more places around the area that offer better food and service. I hope the management is taking notice.... <br/>Note for people ordering parcel: They also seem to have knack of messing up the orders. So be sure to check your order before accepting it.

Very slow service. I ordered parcel couple of times. They said 10min for the order to be ready and made me wait and wait and wait...<br/>Finally, after 40 min I got the order for Chinese fast food, irony... <br/>The worst thing was, when I got home, for one of the order's, I got a different order than what I had ordered. And Chicken triple rice comes with an omelette on top everywhere you go... but not at Chandralok. This happened to me twice and even after I had complained the first time. So, I am going to avoid this place here after... I hope the management takes notice..

They don't know ABC of sizzlers. Totally waste of money. Staff is polite. But food is absolutely rubbish. I would never recommend anyone to go at Chandralok. Ambience is good. But we dont always go for it

Went here for quick lunch with a friend because this is the closest one from our place. Had ordered murg tariwala and roti. The murg tariwala was average. Didn't feel like ordering anything else. People usually come here to have sheesha, least interested in that so no comments. The staff here was surprised coz we were not ordering a sheesha. The staff is friendly but they took alot of time to place the order and to get the food too. I found it a bit over rated.

Had a really amazing time, had been to this place with my friends. We went for the lounge upstairs. Staff were really good. We also got ourselves a hookah. And couple of starters.Really good place for hangouts and reunion. Unlike other places the staff didn't keep annoying us asking for order again and again instead experienced a good hospitality from them. The music was just at the right volume and they provide you just the space you need when enjoying a reunion . We finished our meal with a sizzler brownie, and it was just the thing we needed. This place has become one of the best places for hanging out for me and my friends ...

Been there yesterday staff is very friendly an kind... service is also nice... they have nice ambience and food quality was also great startes were tasty quantity wise starters were less execept for fries, corn cheese balls were very small like marbel shaped and they only served 8 they didnt had naan so we had to order roti which was not that great overall good experience and also its pocket friendly

Have tried it out on couple of occasions. Now dis place is revamped but haven't visited it after that.<br/>Food is a bit costly and by the time it reaches your table it turns cold. It's a huge place but d service is not upto mark.<br/>They gave a written separate bill for booze which means dey r not having licence to sell it. This used to be a booze joint earlier but now has transformed into a fine dine place. The food is good in taste but at times is slow in service. The pricing is decent and the food is value for money. They have 3 options for seating, 2 on the outside and the other inside. The outdoor options are chair seating and low seating. Good for groups to have decent booze and good food. They do have different themes running at times with food festivals where live counters cater variety of food.

Surprisingly good . didn't expect it to be but it really is that good . chicken starters and cheap alcohol ..well reasonably priced alcohol and only college crowd makes this place a great hangout for youngsters .

I visited chandralok on auspicious occasion of gatari😁😁<br/><br/>I live very near to this place and heard it has gone under renovation and heard good reviews so was eager to visit. <br/><br/>Its Located mahalaxmi lawns at the end of DP road and cummins college road.. <br/><br/>It has 3 type of seating.. Indoor for families, outside lawn and loung setting on first floor called Jumeirah. <br/>During my visit upper floor was shut down and open seating was covered. <br/><br/>Food menu consisted of mostly north Indian and chinese.bar menu limited no cocktails. We chose to seat outside garden. <br/><br/>For starters ordered chicken angara kebab and prawns koliwada (batter fried prawns). I wanted other butter garlic prawn but wasnt available. <br/><br/>For main course ordered chicken handi and naans.. <br/>Chicken handi was spicy yet tasty. The only gripe I had was food color was used in handi.. Left my fingers stained for next day. <br/><br/>Quantity was sufficient for 2 people. Service was decent though wasnt prompt despite low number of people. <br/><br/>Given lack of good dining options on the area chandralok provides quality food and good option nearby.

I came to know from Zomato and little app.. Restaurant is Having quite nice ambiance and Silent calm place, but unfortunately management is wasting it. Half of the dishes were not available, staff is not having proper idea abt dish, Policy abt little app is very depressing. I didn't tested Non Veg but Veg dishes were average. But ambiance is Pleasant it should accompany nice Music Gazzales will complete the Heven. Overall not so Great experience.

Located at the end of rajaram bridge , this restaurant has a perfectly good ambience to chill out at . Especially if it is raining the upper deck has the most amazing overall feel for the customer. The food served here is good though . I tried the usual drumsticks of heaven (chicken lollypop) and crispy fried chicken . The crispy chicken was tasty but was really disappointed with the drumsticks.

A hidden gem in Karve Nagar - so beautiful, so colorful! It has been renovated and now has a Shisha place (called Jumeirah) one level above! They even have a lawn they give out for parties.<br/><br/>The restaurant is beautifully laid with indoor and outdoor seating. For the outdoor seating, they have 'charpais' laid out in dhaba style ambience.<br/><br/>I would strongly recommend their paneer dishes - very succulent, juicy paneer! One dish which is a must try here is the Makai Malai Kebab - they melt in the mouth!<br/><br/>Their bar menu though is limited. They do not serve cocktails.<br/><br/>I like how their staff is always ready to help and well versed with the menu.<br/><br/>Overall, a nice place to hangout with friends to enjoy the cool Pune evenings!

As my weekend routine today I planned to visit this hidden place at karve nagar. And I must say a delightful ambience with some good crowd that too on Thursday, quite surprising. I loved the way they've used vibrant colors that equals to perfect hukka place. And coming straight to food the starters are amazing(nonveg). You may surely try kaali meeri kebabs. Main course was too satisfactory. You may ask for the speciality and get served with best. Service is quick and the staff is humble. A hidden jewel in Pune, sudden surprise in Karve Nagar. I would have never discovered this place on my own, it's only thanks to zomato that I was here. The place has a vibrant feel to it. Very colorful. I liked the ambience. Thankfully they took care of the mosquitoes by using mosquito repellents in appropriate places, and we were not troubled with them. There was a cat wandering about. That can be a put off for some or a playtime for others. Coming to the a starters, the Banjara murg kebab was succulent and absolutely perfectly cooked. I loved it. The drums of heaven, that is the normal chicken lollipops were nice n crunchy though nothing extra special than usual. The tariwala murg was lovely. Mildly spiced and kind of felt like a mix between Marathi style rassa and Punjabi style of gravies and has oil "telacha tavang" floating on top, if u know what I mean. Super tasty nonetheless with a couple of wheat rotis. Service is great, I am glad this part of Pune has started to get some good service as well, else not long ago, one would have to travel to kp, aundh, Kaylaninagar for it.<br/>Ambience : 4<br/>Food:4<br/>Service: 4<br/>Value for money :4

After having a very nice experience (service, taste) at the restaurant with my family, I took my friends to chandralok... Unfortunately it wasn't a good experience with the service that day...<br/>Lot of confusion from the newly appointed serving guys with veg- non veg food... And too much serving time...<br/>Yet very much happy with the management for being considerate and polite... Thanks to Mr. Aditya...<br/>Would surely like to visit the place again.. Hope not to see repeating mistakes...

Situated in a place covered by trees and an adjoining lake, Chandralok houses a very natural comfortable ambiance which is an ideal getaway resto for friends and family alike. The food quality is up there with the best you can have in Punjabi. The rates too are reasonable with a sumptuous 3 course meal costing Rs 800-1000 for 2 people. The fact that restaurant owners come and check with you regularly to know if you're enjoying definitely adds to the overall experience. The icing on the cake is a large screen where you can watch the latest sports matches making it my go-to adda in almost all cases! Definitely recommend!

I have been here last night with my friends for the dhaba festival... The ambience was good... But of course if ur hosting a dhaba festival include all the cuisines from different dhaba.... We ordered Angara kebab and tandoori chicken and mutton biryani... Food was very good... Chicken was properly cooked spices were perfect.... Biryani was also good... mutton was going proper with the rice... They provided a complimentary masala roti... It was good too... But the menu need to be improved a lot... Lovely restaurant with outdoor sitting area.. I went with my frnd last Saturday n they had a dhaba fest going on.. evrythng frm d menu to d ambience ws according to d theme which I loved d most.. v had veg food as I ws with my vegetarian frnd.. food ws really tasty n dt dhaba taste was there.. yumm yumm.. overall a great place to visit.. though it's quite away frm my place😯

Visited this place a few nights ago for dinner and I'm glad I did.<br/><br/>The restaurant was hosting a dhaba festival and I was hoping that I'd have a great review to write after the meal,and voila....indeed.<br/><br/>The food here is really gooood,yet there is certainly place for improvement.<br/>The use of the restaurant is the the north Indian food and is undoubtedly delicious.<br/><br/>The restaurant was decorated so beautifully and actually gave a feeling of being in a dhaba( a romantic one).<br/>Beautiful coloured lights,khatiyas and the whole set up done perfectly.<br/>If only they'd have had hookahs too it'd be just perfect.<br/>The restaurant seating is so comfortable and not at all cramped,which is such a relief.<br/>The locality has totally transformed by the addition of this restaurant and it's such a great hang for family aswell as a perfect place for date night for youngsters.<br/><br/>Being a North Indian' kukkad ' is a quint essential on the dinner table,hence our meal was all about chicken🍗🍢🍵<br/><br/>Chicken sweet corn soup:<br/>This was probably the only downer in our meal. A good restaurant with great ambiance.. Went there for the Punjabi food festival.. The names simple however the restaurant is as great as the other fancy restaurants in the city.. Would certainly recommend to the those looking for a peace full ambiance within the city itself!

Went here for lunch after watching their banner on sinhagad road about the "dhaba" festival... Must say was impressed with the ambience. Wonderful location and pleasant envoirment....!!! <br/>Food <br/>Tried malai kofta and roti... Was a hit.. I could just feel the malai in the kofta which was mesmerising...!!!! Though felt that the gravy could be more delicious... Rotis were tender ...!!!! Reallly had a wonderful experience.. <br/><br/>

It sounds good - 'Chaand pe jake aaya'! So does the feeling after experiencing Chandralok.. Doesn't have a fancy name as other similar restaurants but is equal in attire as those fancy ones, like the one where they say there're some 1000 oak trees..<br/>Anyways, have visited with friends for party, with family, for dhaba festivals, etc and with satisfaction. Has a big screen for sports event and very good food with lot of space. Not exceptional but very satisfactory food. Bar is Ok. <br/>Good to take kids along if mosquitoes are managed!

Non veg food was good. Veg needs improvement. Garden is great. Nice ambience. Service is decent. The DJ was really bad on the day I visited.

Superb place very peaceful .. Must say the food is lovely .. A must try is dal aachari ... Had a great experience ..I guess a must visit as they are starting the punjabi food festival from tomorrow ..
