Review Hakuna Matata - Pune

Great place with a calm and cozy ambience and good food. They have good liquor offers and if you have a dine out subscription like we do then you’ll get 25% off on the total bill. We ordered chicken pops which is the chefs special,cheese fondue and tandoori mushroom. Chicken pops were tasty and proved to be a good side dish. Cheese fondue was delicious and well presented and the quantity was also really good! Tandoori mushroom were a bit under but they compensated for that with the delicious marination that they were cooked in. I will definitely recommend everybody to go for their cheese fondue,just remind them to light the stove below the fondue pot as due to the winter it tends to get cold fast! The service is excellent,the waiters are eager to serve and have an extremely polite and cordial attitude! The bartender is also helpful and he requested us to try the barman’s special cocktail,we did and it was nothing short of fabulous. Do give it a try. The place is pet friendly hence has beautiful cats roaming around that tend to jump on your table when it remains unattended, we love cats so had no issues about it. But if you don’t like them make it a point to inform the waiters to keep them away from your table! This place is perfect for good and relaxed weekend night with friends or your partner!

The ambience of the place is party like. The food served was fresh and taste was tantalizing. I had ordered jalapeño and cheese poppers and its taste is still lingering on my tongue. The paneer chilli was also delicious. Chicken nuggets were appetizing. The sauce used in star shaped pizza was piquant.

Good place to casually dine in! Had a smooth and relaxing service. The place also has some good Happy Hour Offers. Food quality is also great for some particular dishes of them. Hummus was something which was a bit unsatisfactory as compared to the other dishes we had. Biryani is also quite good and delicious.

Good place to hangout with friends & colleagues. Ideal for small celebration, catch ups and get together. Lovely staff and so their service. Offers are attractive and so the crowd..!! ;o) You won't be disappointed at this place... !! I am delighted and Hakuna - Matata being here... !! Cheers...!!

Pretty crowded place especially if you are 8n need of the smokimg section. But we'll made and the food is just excellent. The Pita Bread and Hummus are made really with an Indian taste bud in mind and was way different than I tasted anywhere. Actually we didn't go wrong with any of the food that we ordered. So I believe you can't too. Just be bold enough to experiment and don't feel to ask the steward for his recommendation. He will surprise you with something very different and you will end up thanking him. We did !

I visited in the afternoon for lunch. The ambience is really good. Staff was good and kind. The prices are not so high. There is a soft music playing in the background which makes the place more comfortable and relaxing. Recommendations- do visit In the evening or night.

Best thing about Hakuna Matata is that it is Pet friendly!! Had a delightful evening here with family and our crazy huskies Atlas and Alaska who were thrilled to be away from home for a change. Food is delectable and dainty- We tried a host of starters to include BBQ wings, Hakuna Matata fried chicken, crispy chilli chicken, honey chilli chicken and Kung pao chicken. Main course was Sizzlers mostly- oriental chicken sizzler and Pepper chicken sizzler- both were yummy especially the pepper chicken sizzler. Also ordered chicken stroganoff and their version has the white sauce and rice separately and it was just delicious. Drinks are mixed by Mr Shukla the Bartender- must try include Mai Tai cocktail, Virgin Pina Colada and watermelon Mojito. Service is really fast and affable- special thanks to Rajdhan Shukla the bartender and Asif the Capt, these were cheerful guys!

I have been here twice and everytime i loved the food here....the ambience and music is all good..but the foood its great..Do visit ..located on the prime location on JM road.

I love this place, good food, friendly staff, cool music and a lot of energy. Its a small comfy establishment. They were one of the rare places offering big beer bottles but now they have stopped, I always wonder why...

This is absolutely beautiful place to visit as ambience was so good and gives good vibes. Food & service was also great! We can get great offers on zomato, dineout etc.

Great place, amazing food. The ambience is pretty amazing. It offers a lot of drinks to choose from. If you're a non drinker you get to chose from only 3 mocktails, of which Sexy Eyes and The Matata Of Hakuna are good. Both vegetarian and non vegetarian food is offered. If you're a non vegetation, Chicken Cafreal is worth trying from the Indian starters. Desi Nachos With Cheese are also great. The pizzas and the pasta are also good. Pasta Alfredo in white sauce is pretty good but it is a little sweet. Overall the place is pretty good.

Nice place on JM road to hang out with your friends and also among the very few pubs in this area. The ambience is based on jungle theme (check my photos) but is covered with roof. The food taste was very good, even though there was rush the service was good. They have an open bar and in-house beers. Good for family, friends or couple.

Fantastic place, lovely ambience and cooperative staff !! Stumbled upon this place after leaving another place out of disappointment. And what a gem. We ordered the mushroom bunny chow,cheese chilli toast,spaghetti alio olio,paneer Makhani bunny chow,lemon iced tea.Everything was super awesome Relaxing vibe and peaceful ambience !! I would definitely say "there are no troubles" when it comes to food and you are in the vicinity of JM road. This place called Hakuna Matata is a really good addition to the long list of places to eat around JM road. Though it won't be an exaggeration to say that it is the only best pub-like trendy place on JM road where you'll have good food and drinks. The food quality is really good and offers a wide range of food. Loved the African food festival, they had great options. The dessert is to die for!! The food is authentic and super tasty, foodies out there you are Missing the point of not going here! So just go and have a great time!! The concept of customizing your own pasta was really interesting and we tried our luck and failed miserably, I would recommend you if you are not a master chef then please go with the set pasta. The set pasta menu is really tasty. The pizza crust is really crunchy and nice. The cheese was really good quality and the hint of flavors were hitting my taste-buds thus making this pizza one of the best I had. The ambiance is contemporary and surely will enlighten the mood for friends and family. The service was really good. Been there on launch day, the crowd kept coming till 10.30-11. The staff was very kind and made quick arrangements and also provided quick service..! A must go for casual diners.!! The best thing,”They had good offers on Wine too�“.

White sauce pasta ..has green and red bell pepper to spoil the taste. And cream of mushroom soup has finely chopped onions ....no knowledge of the recipe clearly

I had ordered chicken lasagna.It was the worst thing I ever tasted. The pasta sheet and cheese tasted like vomit.It was so bad that even tasting one bite made me nauseous. Worst experience ever.

Great place to hangout with your friends. The place is quite happening and lively. The food served here is awesome and the staff is courteous. Service is prompt and generally crowded on weekends. Ambiance is good and one should visit this place along with their friends. Overall great experience here and thumbs up to Hakuna Matata Team.

Great place to hangout with friends. However the place was empty when we visited somewhat in the afternoon. Service was fast as there were no people around , specially ashir served served us well and the food was also good. Ordered fries and nachos mostly finger food which was okayish. <br/>Also they have a pocket friendly bar. We were also been offered complimentary cranberry vodka shots and they turned out to be amazing. <br/>Watching sports and chilling out is great option on sport days as they have big live screenings available.

Indian food is good but the pizza is below average . All pizza had less salt inspite of having good toping.please improve with pizza flavours.

This is a decent place, with lots of good food and drinks options. I personally didn't like white pasta much and the cocktail too wasn't that amazing. It was way too diluted. The interior of this place is quite applaudable.
