Review Leeward - Pune

I have been to this restaurant twice for dinners and I feel it’s a great place to sit and have meals which is very tasty and feels home cooked. The interior is also very homely and spacious. Let’s discuss the best and worst parts of the restaurant. My experience 1. Food is very nice and yummy, just like it's cooked at home with less masala and wholesome taste. 2. They have a huge projector screen to play cricket matches, and the vibe created is unmatched. 3. Restaurant has small cubicles type of set up for more personal dinner experience. 4. They have good parking space. 5. The dishes are reasonably charged and seem affordable. And what i don't like.- 1. The staff doesn’t listen to you even if after calling them multiple times. 2. The washroom was very untidy . Yes, I would surely recommend this restaurant to all my friends.

Good place to have a group outing or party. Nearby Hinjawadi and Wakad area, so perfect for the nearby IT crowd! The rates are reasonable, food is good. The ambience is also good. Overall, a good place to hang out with family or friends.

Amazing place have a great long area with different sitting options and a wall of television display help you enjoy match days. Tried vegetarian and non vegetarian food here its a comple delightful experience had a meal to make my tummy smile and fill it with flavors. Must try the place may seem as small restaurant from outside but, " Dekhne pe maat jao anadar jaa ke khud check karke aao".

The hotel is quite good for eating food and having fun with family ,by the way the hotel is my fathers so that is why my sir name is same as the owner of the hotel.

Amazing place with nice sitting arrangements and fast service

Good place to hang out with friends or family or even your partner. Has a good ambience, very spacious seating along with compartmental seatings with sofa style on the sides. The staff is a bit lazy and non responsive, so there goes one star. The prices are alright and the food is really great. They don't have great music here, just a screen that plays some music channel so that's another downside if you are going to enjoy drinks with music. Not a party place, just a decent place to hang out. They could definitely improve their service staff. The speciality of this place is it's timing. It's open as late as morning 6 AM with food being served throughout. So give it a try next time you are partying around in this area.

Good ambience with a big screen for watching live matches. The restaurant allows customers to carry their own alcohol but with a coverage charge which ranges as per the price of bottle. For responsible drinkers this becomes a great option if you are around that side of town.

This resto is on highway...had projector there so you can enjoy food and drink by watching songs .

Decent place with mostly IT professionals visiting so u can expect good crowd. Has options for little privacy too for small group. Nice ambiance. Good food and service. Value for money. Recommended.

Ambience is decent. The food quality is excellent. Huge rush on weekends due to which service might be a problem. Alcohol served till very late (3 am).

Not much of a family place. But a sober place for friends to hang out with. Liquor is available here. Leeward is open in the night as well... Food is okay. Not great. Complimentary snacks are provided.

May it be a party or an after-party, Leeward is the place for me. I've been regularly going to Leeward since 2016 and they have never failed me. The staff is amazing, Ashok, Ravi, Appa, Kundan, very polite, humble and responsive. You order any food, you will love the taste, especially Murgh Musallam. Chakna is complimentary, overall, it's an amazing place and similar to a home for me. #leewardforlife

When it comes to night out enjoyment then me n our friends only think of leeward, the ambience is nice, staff is friendly, service is also fast. One can't be disappointed there, Open for late night on the pune highway. We visited here lot of times having a great experience............

This place was good but now the dont want people to be in huts. They say that there should be a group. But we were 4 people but they did not allow us to still in the hut.<br/><br/>finally we aat outside but there were lot of mosquitoes which is not good.

Open all night, this place is the choice if you want to have some drinks or some good food. The staff is prompt and helpful. This is one of the few places that offers liquor late at night. Not to forget, it's mouth watering food. The ambience is not much to be talked about.

Have been to leeward more than 20 times. Situated on the highway between wakad nd balewadi and easily approachable. This place is open till 4 am so night riders and late night junkies can hop to this place for booze nd good food. <br/>Food :- My personal fav is murg mussalam, leeward spl chicken and handi. Dal khichdi is also good if you want to eat light. 3.5/5<br/>Ambience:- They have around 10 huts and open sitting as well as inside sitting. 2.5/5<br/>Price:- Food and liquor Price is moderate. Place is located near highway towards mumbai and towards Satara Kolhapur and all so services was ok due to very less crowd as well the food was ok rates were high end of the day I was not satisfied

Don't go by looking bar menu as they already increased price and displaying old menu. Food ws average. Service was also not good. Needs to maintain.

It was the worst experience. Service was very bad. Didn't served hot food. Server as the name btold by him " chiran" behaved like he is providing free service. Not at all interested in serving or taking order. Very rude. If u are in serving industry u should know how to serve and how to greet customer. U should have negative rating its not even worth for 1 star.

Its just like its neighbour hotel. Good for late night outing. Taste sucks, service is slow but better than other. Its a newer but needs to be maintained.

One of the better places to have a late night dinner and at good rates. I have been here 3 times now to have dinner past 12:30 am and this place always stands up to expectation.<br/>The ambiance is average.There is a screen which has music playing all the time. As you enter the restaurant,there are about 15-18 tables on the left and 6-7 tables on the right for big groups. There is seating for families inside.<br/>Coming to the food, I have had murg mussallam all 3 times which is among one of the better ones I had tasted.<br/>Also had chicken tandoori and paneer afghani tikka both of them tasted great.<br/>The thing that needs to be improved is their service which is slow and they need to increase the no. of waiters.<br/>Average cost for 2 - INR 800 with alcohol.<br/>VFM-4/5<br/>Food-4/5<br/>Ambiance-2.5/5<br/>Service-2.5/5<br/>I would have rated this place 4 but their service lacks that efficiency.<br/>

I gave 2.5 for that only seating and like cavana and outdoor ,staff are helpful thats why that rating..Go about food was disgusting we order two dishes very common dish chicken lollipop and tandoori chicken .Abut tandoori chicken no juice no spice finally we cancelled that dish and lollipop like that pakoda ..We ordered couple of drinks,for that food we are not having main course.Go for rate in zomato they are showing one kinds rate and in resto menu too much different that's why we are totally disappointing..We never visit again..

Was a romantic place. Good ambiance. We ordered chiken platter which had a lot of quantity. But the chiken served was soft when it came but within half an hr the chiken was being hard.. And it was getting tasteless.the chiken served was not good

This is the worst restaurant in Pune..service is very poor. There is only 1 waiter available to serve 10-12 table. To serve simple veg biryani and paneer they took 1 n 1/2 hour. Guys dont go there

The chef here needs a real lesson in cooking. The staff needs to go back to the Hotel management institutes to learn on courtesy and mannerisms. They are not ready to accept that something is wrong with there food. I would recommend dying of hunger instead of eating at this pathetic place.

Great service and the food is surreal at taste. Try chicken platter if you're in love with chicken already. Music may seem a bit off but has decent seating arrangement made available for both smokers and non-smokers or family sections.

If you are looking to have a nice long nite conversations with group of your friends boozing all night long this is definitely the place, safe for females have been here a lot of times.little shady but is OK if you dnt find place to dine and drink at wee hours..

This was the first time I visited this place. <br/>Firstly we ordered few drinks with a starter <br/>Paneer chilly was pathetic we left it as it is after eating a piece of it. <br/>We ordered maincourse kaju masala daal tadka and roti and this time it was awesome.<br/>We ate a lot due to good taste of the food.<br/>Ambience was ok <br/>Service is fast <br/>So lastly I suggest them to enlarge their menu as it is very small and change the taste of paneer chilly. <br/>Rest all is good <br/>Must visit place<br/>

Ordered for home delivery a couple of vegetarian Indian dishes. The taste is average, nothing of a stand out. With other better options available in the area, it is very likely that this place will not be tried again. They need to do better to stand out in the crowd.

Good Butter Chicken not that really great but it's a good one, You're getting it at 4AM in the morning.<br/><br/>The Butter Naan is really crisp and doesn't get chewy till the end and the Paneer Chingara is tasty too, cooked in a delicious gravy with chunks of paneer, makes a good dish for you if you're a vegetarian.<br/><br/>Service is decent, ambience is good, they got good songs playing and open till 5AM in the morning. <br/><br/>Pocket friendly rates, keeping in mind at the odd timings you're getting delicious food.<br/><br/>

It's a great place to chill , have few drinks with your friends and relax your way through the night! The seating arrangement is really good for people who want their private space ,it's very cosy. The drinks are average rate and the food is fine. It's a typical late night kind of restaurant. If given a chance ,will definitely visit again. Recommended Time to visit - Post 12am!

The positioning of this hotel is amazing. Right on the artery of the Mumbai-Pune highway, a pebble's throw away from the Hinjawadi IT Park and bang on the service road that opens up to so many bars and restaurants, that one's spoilt for choices!<br/><br/>Suggested by a colleague of mine, we went inwards towards Leeward and were greeted by the family 'shaminyaana' and the 'singletons' sections. We placed ourselves at the 'singletons' side, just for kicks!<br/><br/>We let the Budweiser Lights flow through our food pipes, like the pristine rivers in Ancient Babylon. 😂<br/><br/>The starters we ordered for included:<br/><br/>Chicken Sholay Kebab: Medium-sized chicken pieces prepared on skewers and charcoal grilled to perfection. For presentability, the chicken pieces were wrapped in spongy egg white to accentuate the proteinous taste. Only caveat, the meat wasn't fresh!<br/><br/>Egg 65: The country 'cousin' of the Chicken 65 dish which reeks of high dosage of curry leaves, soy sauce, unruly cut onions and capsicum, all stir-fried to near brilliance proportions. Egg whites and the yolks were sauteed well too!<br/><br/>Mushroom Tikka: Button mushrooms wrapped in paste of turmeric, chilli powder, ginger garlic and kitchen masala, cooked in the 'tandoor'/Indian oven till the 'meaty' portion packs in an extra 'crunch.' Served with julienne cabbage, onions, capsicum and carrots.<br/><br/>Short eats like garlic sev and peanuts were constantly repeated to accompany the beers. As another friend joined in, we ordered a round of Budweiser Magnum, the strongest beer doing the circles of the city.<br/><br/>As we glugged down beers like wild men and discussed sleazy women-related topics, the crowd came teeming in and the ambience around, got higher on the decibel. Yet, it was definitely fun indulging in food, drinks and conversations at this restaurant.<br/><br/>This place is recommended for bikers, weekend bingers, family dine-ins and single stallions too! A few more bearers and swifter service could help spruce up the service here!<br/><br/>Neither inwards, nor outwards, just chillax at Leeward's!<br/>

Good place for beverages options with friends but not so recommended for family outing. Also available at late night along with beverages nd food.

I liked the place. Very simple, value for money and no frills place. The food was good too. We made an unplanned visit to the place and were surprisingly happy. The staff is quite friendly too. I would be happy to visit the place again if I need to go to some place on the highway.

The typical highway side booze and eat joint. Nothing differentiating the ambience. The place is not very well lit even during the normal business hours and then gets dark post the 12.00 midnight cutoff. The prices of the drinks are a tad cheaper than the ones in the neighbourhood. The culinary staff seems to be skilled since I really like the taste of the food eaten so far. I am giving an extra 0.5 for being a tad cheaper than the ones in the same lane.<br/><br/>Okay this is a correction and edit from the previous review. I somehow felt this place was cheaper and the food quality is excellent in comparison to the ones in the neighborhood and more specifically the one in the immediate vicinity. Went yesterday and ordered Chicken Do pyaza and guess what the chicken pieces was pathetic and totally elastic. Tasted totally uncooked. On enquiring with waiter he said its boneless haha. Then on little more debating he took it back to kitchen and came the dish after 8 minutes with the chicken exactly tasting the same. On enquiring what has changed he said he took inside and just tasted one piece and found out it is cooked properly. I was in no mood to eat that further or debate with those dumbs.Never visiting this place again.

The gr8 thing about this place is it remains open till 4am..Alcohol is avg priced..We ordered Chicken Rosali Kabab for starters..It was gud..Very lightly spiced n well cooked..For the main course we had Egg curry with roti nd Chicken Biryani..The curry was awesome and biryani can definitely be tried once..It was well cooked with nice flavours..A must visit for someone looking to sit late through the nite.Don't miss the paan at thr shop just outside the resto..

When you enter you see the smoking and the non smoking area all together in one array. There are some decorated seating on the extreme right when you enter but trust me most of the people avoid siting there as it seems to be almost cut out from the restaurant and make you feel you are cornered.<br/><br/>Prices are decent with the bar menu too much pocket friendly. Ambiance was not that up to the mark. Food was decent. You can always try chicken lollipop or gobi Manchurian they are server very tasty here.<br/>They have a very large screen with projecting IPL matches and a lot of other imp matches. So you can checkin here and cheer your team.<br/>The special thing is it is open till 4 AM. So if you need a place to hang out in the midnight you can always opt for this.

Place for Booze and Food for Late night. Nothing amazing about either Food or ambiance, usual stuff.Service is friendly and good.But yeah a better option than Sarovar which was earlier the only place to remain open later than midnight.They have some LCD and projector too, incase one wants to catch up  on matches.

We casually walked in Leeward Family Resto yesterday night with rather limited expectations. After a stressful week a mid-week diner was bound to happen and while passing from the highway we randomly chose this place. Considering highway has some shady place we sneaked in to check out the place first and it was deserted but looked welcoming. They were displaying TV on a large screen. Looked like a good place to check out a cricket match sometime. The ambience was nice and open. Nothing very trendy but good. <br/><br/>We got pick on the tables and ordered a couple of beers which were served nice and cold. We also had Rosali Kebab which was awesome. Chicken Biryani was spicy but lipsmacking nonetheless.<br/><br/>Service was excellent but a little too friendly. Food delivery time was way too long though, especially the kebabs. The rates were pretty normal. <br/><br/>All in all a nice place to have an occasional diner.

Very good restaurant, both ambience and food vise.. economical too. Best thing is open till 3 in the morning and serve all the items available in the menu till then.. I visited 2 times around 1:30 am. Staff is so helpful and that place cheers me up...
