Typical old world 'bakery' with a range of 'local' Pune delicacies. Visited with our grandparents who used to visit when they were posted in the area many years ago. MG Road/Main street was super busy on Sunday with hardly any space on the sidewalks. We were lucky to find parking nearby. Stocked up with biscuits and other savories for our evening party.The staff were very old school with (good) attitude and helpful.

Loved the chicken pattice and the Macroon biscuits. Decent pricing and Decent service too. Will definitely visit again. Parking can be an issue so best visited on foot or via public transport.

Pune’s most famous ice cream center. The quality of ice cream from this place is unmatched. The softies are also very tasty and creamy. However, one cannot taste all the ice cream’s before selecting. One has to make an order for ice cream first and can taste any two only. Nevertheless, the ice cream from here is worth it.

One of the old bakeries thats been around for a long time. We used to come here with my dad 50 years ago and the place has not changed at all. They have added a few items like falooda and cold coffee and some cream cakes but eveything is very tradional. My favourite item here are the almond maroons. Really tasty , chewy and delicious. They got this recipe spot on and if you come around 10 am when they are just baked you cannot leave without getting a doz at least. Prices are up, since April 1st . Their patties and cheese papdi are also good. Best part is there is rarely a line here like kayani!!

Absolutely fabulous!! A true hidden gem for chaat and chaat baskets ! Their thick shakes are a must try !! Please make sure you have enough appetite to enjoy both the chaat basket and thick shakes at the same time !! They also do this classic thing called chocolate coat on your ice cream 🍦- it’s cone dipped in chocolate sauce pls try it !! Is self service old school Pune style eat on the street or in your car. Love it now loved it 30 years ago !! 🎊

Visited this lovely little place on MG road. Such lovely ice creams are available along with an amazing softie ice cream which comes with mango, chocolate, vanilla & strawberry. The ice cream was extremely flavourful and there are a variety other items both sweet and Savory to choose from.

Cheesecake was amazing. They have their basic cheesecake and you can get whatever topping you need, like I had blueberry cheesecake.

Indeed Pasteur Bakery have one of the best variety of Icecream...But Their 2 in 1 choco vanilla softey is love ....Must try Softey really everyone loves it ......They have seasonal creams like straberry cream , mango cream and sitafal thickshake with ice creams....not so much costly

Their icecream display is amazing!...The spectrum of the colorful flavours always catches eyes!... The apricot icecream is highly recommended. The chat is also savory and nice! The corn cheese sandwich was bland.

Highly recommend the basket chat and soft serve ice cream at Pasteur. Basket chat is like a mountain of goodness! IMO, the aloo tikki and the chutneys are what make it so tasty. The soft serve ice creams are the creamiest in town. There's no place to sit. Finding a place to stand and eat will be challenge too, especially over the weekend. Be prepared to stand outside the shop and eat but the taste is worth all this trouble. They have a whole range of other dishes too - pav bhaji, sandwiches, etc.. Highly recommended for chat.

Visited this place many times but never got a chance to add review. I prefer desserts at this place which are really good. Tried Faluda, Choco chip waffle with softy, Twisted peri peri chips which were amazing and yummy. They serve thick shakes and chat was well which looks damn delicious. Overall this is a must try place.

The ultimate chaat and juice corner. Tastes amazing and brings you to the small food centre over n over again. Visit them for the yummiest basket cist you will ever get. More than enough in the quantity for two. The taste has changed over 6-7 years now but still remain the tastiest. If you are reading it Pasteur bakery, then please, do not use dahi bhalla in the chaat but use the regulae alu pattice.

Hands down one of the best icecreams I have tried. Their 2 in 1 Softie Icecream is a must try, it costs only 50rs.

I am visiting this place since I was child. They serve the best Choco Deep softy in town. Ambiance is also like those old cafe. Love this place.

Tried their famous basket chaat and panipuri.<br/><br/>Loved basket chaat/katori chaat.. it is basically a basket overloaded with a whole bunch of ingredients: Aloo tikki, dahi bhalle, papdi on the sides, chole, sev, boiled potatoes with combination of chutneys and masalas. It was mouth watering and so filling!<br/><br/>Coming back to try more of their street food options.

Be how good the food is but if u dnt know how to serve your customers or talk to them, it’s just not worth it. Highly disappointed with the place which is not just a brand but a legacy. Never expected this kind of an attitude from a place like Pasteur’s.

Pasteur bakery situated at the heart of the city Camp on mg.road and is known for there snack like cookies,biscuits,sandwiches,puffs,juices rolls,burger,macaroons,cakes,chaats,Softy,icecreams etc.Its a small place always crowded on weekends,family place,pocket friendly.On Sunday I had there Triple sundae which is basically consist of three different ice creams you can make your own icecream sundae here so I had red velvet ice cream and buterschoch icecream with vanilla softy drizzled with chocolate and red n green maple syrup.Each and every icecream had it's own perfect flavour and taste and yes it was yum ..Enjoying icecream like this in winter is so cool isn't it? So would recommend all to head over with your family friends to enjoy there tasty delight.

went for some chaat with my sister. took SPDP (sev puri and dahi puri ) and aloo tikki. In pune allo tikki gets copious amount of dahi on it and if you want the chole on top you need to ask for delhi tikki .. this i learnt only later .. price is a tad on the upper edge but its okay for MG road i suppose.

It is one of the famous bakery and ice cream parlour on MG Road.<br/>I've tried paneer pizza, Twisted chips with chipotle sauce and choco brownie ice cream.<br/>They were all so delicious, especially the twisted chips .<br/>Must try♥️

This place is good. You get good and tasty food here. The basket chaat is just awesome. It is my all time favorite dish. The ice creams are also nice, especially the choco vanilla dip.

This place has some yummy yummy food. Everything from Chats to Ice-creams is just delicious. My personal favourites are Pani Puri and Choco-dip ice cream. If you are on MG Road then this place is a must try.

We were passing through this and saw the place is fully crowded , so went in to try out something.<br/>I tried to talk with owner but he was fully occupied with customers and told clearly his inability to give time, which was fair enough.<br/>I tried brownie ice cream and softy and both were delicious. Didn't tried any snacks or chat so can't comment on that . Will definitely try to go there again and try it out

Pasteur, this is legendary place. My review might not justify the legendary status of this place. It's been running for more than 80 years now and still favorite when it comes to having a classic softy ice cream.<br/><br/>Many childhood memories to go along with it. Just go there and have a chocolate choco dip, it's heaven. Simply perfect !! They also have biscuits, cookies, cakes and ice creams, it's a sweet heaven. Softy ice cream is a must have. It's the first place in Pune where I ate my first softy ice cream and I am still in love with it. One of my go to place on MG road to grab a quick bite or an ice-cream. Pasteur has an extensive menu for a small place. They serve everything from pani poori, various types of chaats, chana bhature, sandwiches, to ice-creams and shakes. We made a quick pit stop there during one of our shopping trips to MG Road and tried their pani poori, which was good. The pooris were light and the paani was tangy and not very spicy. Grilled chilli sandwich was a huge sandwich, with a filling of veggies and chilli sauce. Too hot for me to handle. Chillies actually overpowdered the flavour of veggies. I personally thought it would have been actualy better off with less chillies.<br/><br/>Brownie chocolate icecream was excellent as usual. Big scoops with chunks of brownie. Highly recommended.<br/><br/>It is a small place and you will most likely have to stand and eat your food. Pocket friendly and good value for money.

It would be unfair if I don't review this Bakery. This is one of the legends in Pune, along with many others in MG Road/Camp. I generally go 3/4 times a year in MG road for some shopping & never forget to visit this place. It's a heaven for baked items. Pune is known for its bakeries and this one definitely comes in my lists of a must visit. The fresh baked smells and the wide variety to choose from,makes my mouth water even when I just pass by. The plum cake is a favorite along with many other biscuits and cakes. The sponge cakes are so soft and melt in the mouth and so are the mawa cakes. A must visit when you visit Pune.

I grew up eating chat here. They have the best tasting chat. Basket chat and Pani Puri are made really well. They have also have a wide range of ice creams and softies. There is very little seating arrangement. Best time to eat would be during the day on weekdays because it gets really crowded during weekends unless you don't mind the crowd :)

In august company of a few handful places that has been serving Punekars for decades.  Such places carry a small part of the city history with themselves.<br/><br/>What did we have?<br/><br/>a. Chocolate Eclair: A smaller variant but did not let us down on the taste aspect.<br/><br/>b. Chocolate Tart: The tart itself was not very firm...prepared well. Chocolate filling was good as well. I mostly visit this place for their chat and icecream. They have a HUGE menu.<br/>Below is a picture of Basket Chat. One of the most famous and oldest restaurant in the city. Famous for its chaat and softy. If you want to enjoy some delicious chaat, this is the place for you. Located at the very famous MG Road, it is the perfect place to enjoy some snacks while shopping. The cleanliness of the place is also good.<br/>Overall, it is a great place to please your taste buds.

Being a nearby location as a new resident of the area i went there...as per their advertisement displayed we ordered Tornado Potato Chips and softies..the first item was kinda Okay...they gave 3 options for the topping which included Cheesy Jalapeño, creamy periperi and spicy chipotle sauce...all of them were nice...the only thing of concern was the amount of oil after deepfrying was heavy which kinda degrades the overall taste...vanilla and chocolate softies were nice...good place for pending parties...☺☺..

The presentation of basket chat was good but the taste was not as per looks. Too spicy for my liking. The tikki chat was average. Since it is in an area full of competition you may try elsewhere.

This bakery is famous enough. Hygiene is well maintained. They offer Lip smacking ice cream flavours along with various chaats, parathas, burgers and pizzas with shakes and juices. It is a one stop snack destination. My favourite dish is the aloo cheese paratha. It feels like you just tasted the heaven❤️ I also had Papdi chaat with corn pattis which also worth a try.

This used to be my one time favourite. However the last time I visited, ordered my usual macaroons but was disappointed to find that having ordered a dozen and a half , paid for that amount and the bag had 2 less cookies in it. Totally put me off goin there to buy more again before we left pune.

love chaat items over here.....in parathas, cheese onion garlic is my favourite..thier pav bhaji is good as well..had all these items few years back...recently visited the outlet in mid november, I went there around 4 pm, and the person on counter said chaat parathas will be available by 5 pm..only pav bhaji was available..I had mango icecream which was yummy...I did some shopping and again went there at 5pm, the person said, it will take one more hour..so i left...was disappointed to see this...

If you want to make most of 50rs in your pocket go to this place and have their chocolate softy it's hugeee and plus it's right next to Marzorin so after snacking their you can take a huge softy and walk around MG road😊

Pasteur bakery is one of the oldest bakery in Pune. They have classic collection of cakes and pastries. Although they have limited flavours, their taste is simply aunthentic and unique. Pineapple cherry cake is my personal favourite. <br/>They also have eggless cakes available. A must go place.

Best almond cookies in the world! I have given bulk orders and also always pick up a dozen or so every now and then. Other good items are chicken puff pattice, coconut macrooms. Must try for everyone. One of the few authentic bakeries of pune which have well mannered staff and the offerings are not over hyped like others in the vicinity!

I tried the chocolate mousse and it was super light, moist and tasty. Will surely try other things as its very close to where I stay. One of the authentic bakeries and not very fancy but the mousse spoke for itself.

Pasteur Bakery is another iconic gem in the history of Pune bakeries. Located in the heart of Pune on the buzzing MG Road, it's simple only in looks but very high on taste and quality. Pasture bakery cannot be missed if one passes MG road. I have been visiting this bakery ever since I remember.<br/><br/>Nothing much has changed with the place really. Simple old style decor. <br/><br/>The cakes n biscuits is what I have been eating here. Its always fresh. <br/><br/>Choco walnut, plum cake and fruit cake are my favourites. I Have visited this place many times wid my friends..i have tried many items over here..<br/>Bt not even a single item was good...i found it very stale and tasteless...bad experience about food all the time...But yes one can sure like the slushes n ice creams n drinks compared to other snacks...

Most horrible bakery. They gave me a strawberry 1 pound cake for 300 which was smelling foul. There was a foul taste to it as well but he didn't agree and refused to take it back. <br/>Apart from the smell the cake itself was horrible. <br/>Don't go!!

Serves good veg food... And provides quick service...
