Review Kasturi Mastani House - Pune

This place is working since more than 25 years. Everyone is familiar with this place. There Saturday and Sunday unlimited breakfast is my favorite till 11 am they provide. ( Sambhar taste 😋 👌) If you are there pls try there mastani it's delicious. You will find everyone enjoying this place . Thank you for the service.

Had Masala Dosa here. Dosa was pretty crispy , chutney tasted fine sambhar was sweet. But overall fine experience. You can choose to sit in the open dine area or inside the restaurant which gives it two different types of vibes in one go.

All things were good I had tired Sunday Unlimited breakfast buffet Taste was good For the price 149/- Poha, upma idli Wada and misal tea and coffe In sweet -sheera Menu was good for the price and taste was also good Must try This offer is valid On Saturday and Sunday breakfast And worth the price

This is perfect place to eat pure vegetarian food. They offer Dinner as well as fast food, snacks, and desert.(you will get Mastani, Ice cream). There is rush time in evening so you have to wait for a while but not more than ½ an hours. Taste of the food is very nice. There is outside sitting arrangements. Rates are little bit higher, but I recommend this place. You can visit here with friends and family. I have tried Pav Bhaji, Mango Kesar Mastani and Masala Pav. It was Nice. Great place. Kasturi special pulav is my favourite with lots of dry fruits in it. Staff is good and they have just renovated the store. Pav bhaji is also tasty. Atmosphere is really good.

I am not a big fan of Mastani but you must try Kasturi Mastani special over here, I like it and it's a pocket friendly place It's a good place where you can come with friends and family as well.

People looking for tastiest Mastani should come here. The location is superb, ample space for parking around. The seating area is quite airy. I had gone to have unlimited buffet extended on weekends. It was really tasty I thought considering that one can have unlimited breakfast followed by delicious Mastani and ice creams. We had Kesar Pista Mastani, Peru ice cream after having idli, medu wada, poha, sheera. We thoroughly enjoyed it ! Kudos to the owner. The ice creams and mastanis here are rich with milk and cream, softer and melts faster without the icy texture which is generally found in most of the other Mastanis in Pune.

Very good place just at the right location to hangout with friends. Pocket friendly options available. Not only Mastani but even a whole lunch or dinner plans can be done. Not much crowded, and you can easily get place, the service and staff is friendly.

Ambience is little bit good ! Best thing to have in this summer. ‘Strawberry milk Shake’ is my favourite thing to have in the summer. It’s like summer is incomplete without it .Finally I tried my first strawberry milk shake of the season ! This shake was delish and too good as per its price.Try this place for some delicious shakes. Recommendation: 4/5

It's always a sweet experience visiting here once or twice in a month since 6 years now, and now our lil one enjoys his ice-cream here. Good place for having one dish meal like thalipith, bhakri, pavbhaji, pizza, etc and cold desserts. Recently tbey have renovated it nicely. Overall its always a nice experience.

Ordered Gulkand Mastani, but felt portion size compared to other mastani house is small and the mastani tasted more of ice and less milky. Overall not impeesses by the mastani.

Not a big fan of Mastani, but I like to try it as a dessert few times.<br/>We took Kasturi Special Mastani.<br/>It was good, full of dry fruits and a very good option for dry fruits lovers.<br/>Service was also quite good. <br/>Those who like to try different different Mastani, do try it and let me know how it was as compared to other places you’ve tried! The various types of Mastani and other food items sold in this outlet are good. But the most irritating this about this outlet is that the waiting staff is least bothered about customers. I visited this place today and the way out order was addressed says much about this place. Menu is not handed over in time. We had to wait for 10 minutes before someone gave us the menu. And further 10 minutes to get 2 glasses of water between 4 people. Since all tables were occupied; I couldn’t go and take it from any table. We placed food order and waiting staff kept on pushing us from pillar to post. Finally we could place the order after wee bit of hesitation from the staff. Food and Mastani were good; no complaints about that. <br/><br/>If you are prepared to wait for 20 minutes for someone to attend to you and if you are ready for insulting behaviour; then visit this place. Else there are many outlets serving Mastani along with good behaviour. <br/>I would suggest don’t visit this place.

This is a cafe with outside seating. At first it looks good but if you go inside you will notice the seating area is not clean enough. Number of flies will also join you to consume your food. We ordered mastani (mango & strawberry) but very much disappointed with the quality. First the liquid in mastani was having very thin texture, clearly understands that water is being added to it. And also the ice cream they used was not fresh, you can actually taste the ice flecks in it. Not recommend for at least mastani

Mastani was the only good part. I had ordered a mango mastani, Masala dosa and a pav bhaji. Food was okayish. Service was extremely poor. Waiters aren't very pleasant. Pav bhaji took about 40 minutes. I'll maybe not visit this place again.

When I entered the outlet for a quick bite at 9:15 pm, I entered with the agenda of getting some average, quick food on the table and heading out.<br/>What I eventually got on the table was a plateful of disappointed drizzled with a generous amount of bad service.<br/><br/>A glass of water and a copy of the menu took 20 minutes to arrive. Being a Sunday and a moderately crowded place, this was quite forgivable. I knew I wasn't looking at a fine dining experience, and my hunger had overpower my ability to judge anyway.<br/><br/>Once the menu was scanned, which would take anyone with moderate reading skills no more than 8 odd minutes, finding a server to place the order is your next task. They have a handful of arrogant and clueless people that seem to run, chat and pretend to be working, that qualify as servers. They have the rate ability to ignore raised hands, people calling out to them or to any signs that show you are referring to them. Upon observation, I realised that I would need to get up, walk to that person and place the order in his ear to even be heard.<br/>Who I am to judge His Majesty's rules? I obliged.<br/>He took the order.<br/>A pav bhaji and a plate of dal rice. Simple. Easy. Quick. <br/>With nothing else to do, I indulged myself in some mobile games. After 8 FIFA matches and 58 minutes, my phone battery ran low with my patience in pursuit.<br/>My order was still not there.<br/>I had to go to the counter, where the last there was already dealing with a set of frustrated customers. I could see that I wasn't the only one and the lady had a hard time getting the servers to do their job.<br/>She saw me and realised what I was about to say. After all, I was barely a few feet away from the counter for almost an hour.<br/>It turns out, the waiter had forgotten the order.<br/><br/>With a little patience available and a quickly evaporating appetite, I had to walk out just as hungry as I had walked in.<br/>I wasted a good hour and a half of my Sunday, hoping that I could get a decent meal.<br/>What Kasturi Mastani house served, was a mix of pathetic service, blatant ignorance and a miserable experience.<br/>If you need a place to benchmark for how low can an outlet be on the experience scale, nothing beats this.<br/>As for the food, let me know how it was if it ever clears its way through incompetent servers and reaches your table.

Visiting this place since last 15 years. Love the mango mastani the most. Other mastani are also worth giving a try. They also have good food options like pizza dosa masala pav n pav bhaji.

A place that is a mastani house but has a wide menu of food too. Pav bhaji is nice. Try masala pav . Definitely something different. Ordered special Falooda. It was a yummy. The authentic yet hygienic. Good for a evening snack.

Go for the Pav Bhaji!<br/><br/>I know, the place calls itself a Mastani House, and the last time I had mastani there, it was quite good. But that was way back (this place is old and I used to be a regular until 2-3 years ago) and I recently went there to have something else - pav bhaji.<br/><br/>The place has no ambience to speak of, but it is located in a very convenient area of Kothrud which makes it a good place to grab a bite if you are out running errands. Service is a bit slow, but good. I had some cheese pav bhaji and was quite satisfied. The quantity of cheese was generous, and the bhaji was very, very tasty. It was the right balance of spice and oil. Instead of a small sliver of butter in the bhaji which you usually get at other places, they gave a nice Amul 10g Blister (the one you get on flights) which made the bhaji very buttery and delicious. The pav was also very fresh. <br/><br/>The only hitch, especially in these days post the demonetisation, was that they didn't accept card payments! I mean, seriously, if this is not the time to start accept cards, I don't know which is. Thankfully, we had cash, so we could pay. <br/><br/>Overall, definitely go for the pav bhaji, and make sure you have cash!

Went there since we went to doctor near this hotel. Worst food, Worst Service and they have charges 30 Rs for Chutney and Sambhar which is not charged even in Taj blue diamond. All Waiters are not even interested in taking the orders and giving the food with a face like they are giving it for free. Never ever suggest this to anyone. 1 is the lowest rating otherwise i would have given them 0 rating.

That day the sujata mastani was closed so we decided to go here. We all took mango mastani and i was drinking mastani for the first time . I was too disappointed by the mastani. Though the rates are not so high but it wasnt upto the mark. Wont suggest this place for mastani. I dont aboyt the food as we didnt eat anything.

Went there just because my favourite place in a nearby area was closed. It is a average food joint with less than average food. I ordered kasturi special mastani. I m still confused what was so special in the mastani except for the name. Still it was not bad. Service and ambiance was just up to the mark.

Had their special Kasturi Mastani and sweet Lassi and it was awesome. Is open till 11 in the evening. Would definitely like to go again and try what is remaining on the menu!

Loved the mastani here, not too sweet and loaded with just chunks of ice cream. Perfect creamy blend and nice variety of flavours. Definitely worth a try and they have small portions for people with a small appetite like me :)

Have been going here for years for the Mastanis... No doubt they are amazing one of the best in Pune... The bun vada is a must try too! They have started with Food in the recent times... Pav Bhaji was good before but today it was just ok ok.. Have to yet try the parathas and other stuff they have introduced.. But if you do love Mastanis this is the place you should go! <br/><br/>P.S I've sat with my pet many times here... If the place isn't crowded you could drop in with your furry baby too!

This place is located opposite the Louis Philippe showroom in kothrud. Ambience is poor and the chairs are very uncomfortable. Food taste is average. I dont like the pizza here, the base was burnt when we'd ordered one. Staff is not good at all. Overall bad experience. Had left the place without much and had my snacks somewhere else. The place is conveniently located opposite Kothrud bus depot and not difficult to find. We ordered two Mastani's and the wait wasn't long. Quality of the milkshake was very good and was value for money.

One step destination for a complete filling. The masala pav and cheese pav bhaji are one to swear by. You can surely not miss their Dryfruit Mastani. When some friends of mine and I went to this place, we were hungry and since most of the menu had fast food in it, we expected to grab a quick bite. However, this place was really disappointing. They take ages to get the order, ages to prepare it and finally what we get is not even worth the wait. <br/>The chaat there is not worth even a try and the club sandwich was salty. The people there seem to be less interested in the restaurant and more interested in their own stories. Don't think would visit again.

I'm going to be writing a review about the Mastani. This place serves snacks and other things as well. I have yet to try the snacks. Anyways, I tried the chocolate Mastani. I got my order fast, quick service. 👍🏻 The temperature of the Mastani was perfect, the taste was very malai-like. Mastani is heavy, so the malai should be a positive thing but I don't like malai. However the malai pieces come only in the end, the taste remains throughout. Yummy^^ !!

Don't ever visit, I am writing this immediately after I ate, I was damn hungry so came here and returning disappointed. Don't eat anything at all, you can try beverages though.

I had tried Pithala-Bhakari which was pretty decent. After that I had ordered Butterscotch Mastani, considering the name of restaurant, it was pure disappointment. Mastani had shredded ice in it. Please don't waste your money on Mastani here.

Deserves a less than 1 rating. Really! Been here the second time out of some unavoidable circumstances. <br/>1. The S.P.D.P that was served had no potato filling(as has been described on the Menu)<br/>2. The guy who was serving the food didn't even wash hands after dumping garbage.<br/>3. The taste sucked. The whole place is unclean.<br/>4. This place needs to be DELISTED from Zomato.

The place is great to go for fast food. The paav bhaji and masala paav is famous. Whenever you go don't miss dry fruit mastani. Cup of coffee is refreshing. Nice place for chit chats.

Food is kind of good... But service is not great... Prices are reasonably all right.. Can be eaten at place but definitely not a preferred one...
