In this Lockdown phase, the first order was placed with Thomson Restaurant. The tandoori chicken and lollipop was too good to revive your taste buds. Chicken was so tender and properly spiced, the pieces were better than expected. All over it was a very good experience.
They serve a very good food with nice quantity too.. just the thing is they lack in the ambience part otherwise everything is nice.
A good place to try for kerala cusines.
Food was well packed and the taste was even better.
Even the side dishes that were complimentary were also mouth watering..☺️

Recently ordered some of their chinese and Indian dishes which were good. The menu is little expensive..

Tried butter chicken and mutton Kolhapuri....both were nice in taste and quantity .. Kolhapuri should have been more spicy...can order again ......today tried mutton Biryani....it's was ok in taste not exactly like biryani ....
Great food but a little too oily . Have been ordering from them for a few times .you get a great taste of authentic south indian food with good touch from north as well.
Good taste coating on chilli chicken should be thin over all good food boneless chicken masala better than starter thanks to Zomato for excellent offer
It was my 4th visit. All 4 times I have ordered something different and every time the food was amazing, both Veg and Non Veg.
Tandoori starters are too good.
The "must try" list is too long for this place as everything is delicious.

It was a chilled Friday night and we were a group of some very hungry souls who not only needed perfection in their food but on time delivery as well!
Being one of the very few options in Pimple Gurav this is the second time we ordered from Thomson restaurant and it was worth it. We looked upto the menu from Zomato and directly placed an order with the restau to avoid any chances of late delivery.
The very crucial first challenge was completed when the order reached on time 😃
With maximum of hot food arrival we jumped and relished on the below items :
Paneer Chilli : A must try starter which easily passes for awesome party snacks as well as gives your tastebuds a ride of flavors! With little veggies tossed in along with completely marinated chuncks of paneer makes it totally finger licking.
Veg Crispy : I have had veg crispy from a variety of places and I do have my favourite in town, but Thomson's wasnt so bad either. Sure it was oily but the preparation is such that its bound to be oily. If you can pass for the oiliness its a damn good dish!
Chicken Banjara : Another one of Thomson's favorite. It was delicious but a little too burnt on one side.
Daal Tadka and Steamed Rice : The combination was amazing and yeah it's one of my favorite staple food. Daal tadka was something to be relished upon - the red chilli tadka with very subtle spices in daal was almost feeling like home cooked 👍 Something to try upon if you are looking for simple yet tasty and fulfilling meal.
All in all it was yet again a tasteful experience!
Thomson is situated in new sangvi...we ordered patiala chicken, full chicken tandoor, chicken olathiyathe.... patiyala chicken was lip smacking...full chicken tandoor was bit okay....and chicken olathiyathe was also ok....in breads butter naan and kerela paratha is what I would prefer....kulcha and garlic naan was not upto the mark...

Looks very simple and basic... But don't really judge the book by it's cover. The food they serve will leave you content.

Mutton Malwani with Appams : Appams are absolutely soft and taste like heaven (a bit on the sweeter side). The dry pieces of mutton are extremely well spices and masala coated. The gravy served with the dish is also really lip smacking. Yes, this one is for spice lovers. The mix of sweetish aapams with spicy mutton is 'out of the park' combination.
All at a very pocket friendly cost.

Located at sai Chowk, New Sangvi..Well known for south indian cuisine like fish. Balanced veg n non veg quality. Breakfast is also available but haven't tried yet! Ambience is normal, hygiene is maintained and courteous staff! Value for money if you just want to eat food!
Went here for Non-vegetarian food, service was good, though the place doesn't seem much spacious, Food was good too, the Kerala parathas were on point.!

This is a simple yet neatly maintained restaurant in new sangavi. The management is from Kerala and their menu card reflects some unique kerala cuisine. In my first visit i played safe by ordering patiala chicken as per captain's recommendation and kerala paratha. Well, the chicken was simply superb. It had sort of minced chicken in red gravy enveloped in a double egg omlette. The chicken was soft and well cooked. The surprise factor was kerala paratha which was hot n soft. I also tried schezwan chicken rice which was tasty but had a bit more food color added than necessary. Overall a very satisfying first visit.
I have been here few times.its in sanghvi area,next to sanghvi police station. I liked the food over here especially their starter chicken crispy. Good place. Friendly people.
Its one of the descent places in Sangvi to have dinner with friends and family (if you don't to go somewhere far or even to Aund for that matter). Been here a few times for dinner. And it has been a good experience. Chicken dishes are tasty. have tried Adraki and hand. Both were good. Tandoori for starter is also a good option.
And the cost for the taste offered is very reasonable.

Nearby to my place and it's really convenient for me to order from here. I have ordered from here several times. The food is good and the service is quick and prompt. Never had trouble with the quantity or quality of the food. Taste is superb, specially the appam and chicken curry is too good. Order for special occasions are in huge quantity are promptly and efficiently dealt with.

Per recommendations tried Thomson's Kerala breakfast. It was a lovely food trip to Kerala.
Location - When coming from Sangvi to pimple gurav, pass pwd ground and thomson is on ur left (Sai chowk).
Ambience - Nothing fancy. Clean and hygienic.
Service - Quick
Food - Excellent
I tried egg curry with palaappam. Its a medium spicy curry served with 2 spongy palaappams (quite similar to uttapa). Palaappams are sweet (owner informed that they put some sugar in it to give brownish color).

This place serves good authentic Kerala food... Good service n decent ambience... Appam n chicken curry/ stew is one of my favs .. Quality is well maintained..

Post Janmashtami fast, I woke up with breakfast craving stomach. South Indian breakkie came to my mind and remembered a friend's talks about a place serving kbreafast on sat-sun with kerala delicacies.Place is easily traceable as it on Sai Chowk,Sangvi.
We ordered Vellyappam Kadala Curry,Iddiappam with Coconut and Sugar and Idli
Vellyapapm Kadala Curry - Spicy Kadala curry and vellyappam was excellent in taste. Kadala curry had dry coconut pieces with fermented spongy Vellyappams.
Idiappams With Coconut and Sugar : Steamy Idiappam topped with coconut brought back some childhood memories of Gudpapdi. Granulated sugar tastes heavenly with Fresh coconut with Idiappam
Idli - Idli had good grainy texture, but sambhar and chutney were quite different then those served at south indian places. Sambhar was not watery and could taste "Drumstick" in it. Tadka with rai and onions complimented Sambhar. Coconut chutney was green ?! I think had curry leaves in it.
All of the food was served sizzling hot-Steamy. It gave homely cooked wala feeling.The place is high on cleanliness and hygine standards. Service at this place has set high standards,server was polite and attentive.We had a small chat with owner(He was there at 8!!!) for food at his place,kerala delicacies.
I would recomend this place for enjoying kerala delicacies on Weekends. I am definately going back to try Puttu,Paplam and Parottas.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Thomson Restaurant located in the New Sanghavi area of Pune. After ordering from them on Swiggy for the past two years, I decided to experience their food in person. I was not disappointed!
The restaurant boasts a spacious seating area that can comfortably accommodate around 60 people. The ambiance was inviting, and the attentive service from the waiters truly stood out. Our waiter went above and beyond, providing helpful recommendations and guiding us to try their mutton dishes.
Let me tell you, the mutton roast at Thomson Restaurant were absolutely outstanding. The flavors were mouth-watering, and the meat was cooked to perfection – tender, juicy, and incredibly satisfying. What impressed me the most was the generous portion size. It's rare to find restaurants that serve such ample quantities of meat dishes, making it an excellent value for money.
However, the crown jewel of Thomson Restaurant's menu, and a personal favourite, is undoubtedly the Kerala Oil Fried Chicken. This dish is an absolute delight for the taste buds. The chicken is fried to perfection, with a crispy exterior and succulent meat that simply melts in your mouth and is mixed with fried garlic and onion. In my opinion, it is the best rendition of this dish you can find in all of Pune.

One of the oldest Restaurant in Sangavi area and must say that they have maintained the taste of food . The rates are cheap plus the quantity of food served is more as compared to other restaurant ..Both Veg and Non-Veg food are delicious ..Good for dining out with family /friends 😁
