Olive Wheat Grape is one of those really awesome places which serves excellent food, with equally amazing service and a great classy / family vibe and ambiance. Best part is they are on Prabhat road (5 minutes from my home) and have dedicated parking in front of the restaurant with valet, which solves the biggest issue there.

I definitely think they do the one of the best hummus, and middle eastern cuisine this side of town, hands down. They have slowly added a few more cuisines and those too continue the same trend.

DRINKS - We ordered a bunch of mocktails and beverages and they were really good. The Vanilla Black Current, Fruit Punch and Cherry Coke Tail were amazing and refreshing. The Kokum Fizz, especially, was excellent with a hit of green chilli and bit of salt. The Cold Coffee is one of the best I've had in a restaurant, strong and creamy with the Ginger Tea perfect for this cold-ish weather!

STARTERS

Pickled Veggies - Typical Middle Eastern styled pickled vegetables, beets, capsicum, carrots, cauliflower etc. A perfect accompaniment to the dishes as well as a healthy snack! The whole green chilli, though, had almost no pickling, so it tasted raw and spicy. It needs to be cut into pieces or needs gashes / holes in it so that the pickle juice can enter inside and do it's magic.

Potato Broccoli Tots - Deep fried, crispy, starchy little balls of heaven. Just incredible!

Harrisa Prawns Salad - Even if you hate salads, you're gonna love this. Absolutely beautifully cooked, soft, smokey spiced prawns in a salad of charred vegetables, croutons topped with the most delicious creamy mustard sauce. It's presented beautifully as well.

PIZZA - The veg, Pizza de Fantasia was just so good. Fresh vegetables with loads of cheese and tangy, flavourful tomato sauce on a crispy smokey base. It has pineapple (I can already feel a fight brewing) and it definitely suits the flavour combo. If you don't like pineapple on pizza (which many, including me, don't like) you gotta try this one. It really works.

The non-veg one, Hawaiian, was another good pizza with loads of bacon and pineapple. This one, though, didn't taste as amazing as the other. More of the smokey, meaty bacon and another flavour element, like caramelised onions or balsamic sauce would definitely add another dimension and make it better.

SIZZLERS - Now I'm not the biggest fan of sizzlers anymore (my younger and gluttonier self used to love them, though) but these were pretty good ones. Especially as most ingredients retained their freshness and weren't just a burnt mess.

The Arabic Mutton Sizzler blew me away! Succulent, juicy mutton pieces with an excellent sauce aromatic with bold spices! The crisp wedges and rice just a perfect combo. I could have this anyday, it was my favourite of the bunch.

The Crispy Chicken Breast Sizzler too was nice with a flavourful brown sauce. The Veg Mediterranean Sizzler was decent, with falafel, fries and a really nice tangy tomato based rice. The Cajun Cottage Cheese Sizzler, wasn't that great, it just lacked flavour, it was too bland.

DESSERT - The Blueberry Cheesecake was excellent! The sweet, cheesy tangy flavours were just great and a great combination. Middle Eastern dessert Omali was amazing too. Creamy and a nice rose syrup flavour.

VERDICT - Overall the quality and taste is just great and most of the new dishes work really well! A couple of dishes need improvement, but nothing major. Definitely loved the food and would love to go back for more!

My sister and I went for dinner at Olive Wheat Grape on a Thursday. The restaurant is one of the most happily situated ones in the city, and has a good and happy vibe. The place was fairly occupied and the staff welcomed us warmly. The manager is friendly and polite, and he made sure that he understood our preferences before recommending any food or beverage.
We started with the potato and leaf soup which in one word was delicious! They serve it with a couple of slices of garlic bread. The potato and brocolli tots were a good change from our regular vegetarian starters, and the dip that goes with it is tasty. We then moved on to Paneer Pide, a pizza like dish with an amazing creamy sauce on the base. This turned out to be an excellent choice and got my taste buds dancing! Finally, to wrap up the evening, I went for a strong hot cup of coffee :)
To sum up, if you want to enjoy some good food and a friendly environment, Olive Wheat Grape is a must-go restaurant in the city!

Olive Wheat Grape, is currently hosting a #Seafood Festival starting from today till 20th October.

Location : 96/B/97, Suvarnrekha Boulevard, Prabhat Road, Erandwane, Pune

This has a neat and clean open kitchen. With the guts to have so, this shows how transparent they are towards their customers and are confident about themselves #appreciated

A quiet and cozy environment , having a view of prabhat road, we started with a soup named

#Italian seafood stew, a soup made by cooking crabs, prawns & clams together. It had little flavour of fresh basil, chunky tomatoes, cubed carrots and was mildly spicy. The herbs quantity can be increased a bit to take it near to authentic. Can be a good start to the rainy evenings too.

Crab Potatoes & Corn #Croquettes, these fried fingers were made with fresh crab meat and boiled american corns with boiled potato mash to bind and was served with melted cheddar cheese dip. The covering was rightly crunchy, the filling inside had good seasoning to go with crab & corn. It wasn't very oily. Don’t they look delish too?
#dotry

Seafood #Platter - it included
Smoked #Salmon Crostini - thin smoked salmon slice over baguette. It had good feta cheese dip spread between the the salmon & bread, which gave crostini a good taste. The smoked salmon was done well, nice smoky flavour was evident.

Grilled #prawns, were served in two types of marination viz., cafreal & tomato. I liked the tomato based ones. They were grilled so need to be eaten hot, else they can be a bit dry later. Both the marination were full of flavours and unique for me.

It also had deep fried anchovies, deep fried squids, boiled eggs, some dips on plating and salad. Altogether it was a okay combo.

#Grilled lobster with corn cob, this was the show stealer for the evening. They had brushed the lobster with butter garlic and with minimal herbs used they got the best possible taste out of the grilled lobster. The dominant taste of lobster flesh was evident. It was served with a super yummy corn cob and herbs tossed rice. #musttry

I even liked the homemade tagliatelle with clams, calamari & prawns, this in house string aglio e olio pasta had got flavours.

Do visit this place to try out their hatke seafood dishes!

#ankzfoodreviews

Olive Wheat Grape, a place located in heart of the city (if I may call it so) #PrabhatRoad. This casual dining place will give you a fine dining experience with it's pleasant and comfortable indoor seating arrangement. This place has already built a goodwill amongst the masses with their mediterranean and continental food. And, to touch the hearts further or If I may say to treat your taste buds in right way, have recently launched their #IndianMenu.

We started the evening with 2 mocktails viz., #Poinsettia which was orange based and a mocktail with spike of spicy #KokumMargarita. Kokum based mocktail was too good to resist after the 1st sip.

**They are offering a variety of gravies, rice preps and breads in Indian Menu, we had 1st hand experience or must say that we were the chosen ones to taste the below dishes before everyone else.

#Butter_Chicken, a dish which occupies a special place in most of the people's heart. Yes, I'm very particular and choosy about this dish. And, what they are serving here won me over. The orange_ish creamy gravy wasn't much sweet (you can ask for a less sweeter version or more as per your palate), had good amount of grilled and well marinated boneless chicken pieces and to complete it's royalty it was topped with cream and melted butter. #MustTry

#Mutton_Roganh_Josh, a popular kashmiri dish was prepared using goat meat and not lamb/sheep meat. Not a big fan of mutton but the meat was fresh and juicy, had taken good flavor of gravy spices too. The gravy looked heavenly on arrival. Red acceptably spicy gravy with burst of flavours from whole spices wasn't much thick but was toothsome.

#Chicken_Biryani, a non DUM version of the chicken biryani, which didn't make me miss the dum part of itπŸ˜… This luxurious delight will awestruck you with all right flavors. The combination of long grained rice and some tender chicken infused with some great flavours infused is a match made in heaven which ultimately gets together in a good Biryani like this. #Recommended

We were also lucky enough to taste the #Raisins & #Balsamic Vinegar Ice-cream for desserts, some unique twist and to normal ice-cream.
To the tongue: At the start one could savour on small pieces of fresh black grapes , some seeds here and there with a smooth & creamy texture of rightly sweet ice-cream with a touch of balsamic vinegar. This balsamic vinegar got right sourness to the ice-cream which was the best twist and finest part of the whole dish. It elevates the taste of this dish. #MustMustHave

Overall, going back for the butter chicken and to try out some other dishes from the new menu. Amazing work done by Kapil and whole OwG team on their new Indian Menu.

And, a Happy One to OwG ❀

Visited for the 1st time and loved the place. Amazing ambience and courteous staff. U dnt have to wait for ages for the order as u get it within 15 mins. Most of the menu was unknown for me hence the staff explained in detailed about the ingredients. Tried veg only hence not sure how the menu in nveg goes. Might share that when I visit next time. The quantity may look less but dnt fall for that as it gets very very heavy after 1 Dish. Loved Omali and 7 layer chocolate coffee mousse. Must try. Overall lovely place to visit with ur family or with somebody special.

It is a very nice place, subtle interiors and tasty food.!! The idea of open kitchen(although open, not stuffy) is very appealing..!!
One of the dishes orderedΒ  were - 'Salads in A Jar - Fruit & Yoghurt'.Β  It was served through a clear glass which is extremely tempting. Also, 'Fried Ravioli of Spinach & Ricotta' is very delicious.

A special thanks for the courteous staff.. :) . One my friends felt dizzy, so we ordered a lemon sherbet for her. The service was extremely quick. Moreover, they did not include this in our bill. I feel, this is an extremely kind gesture and I really appreciate it!! :)

A place worth visiting!!..

Famous for it's 4 hrs preparation based Polenta tables, they know how to make pizzas. So do try them.

Tajine is something that requires an acquired taste and you will probably not like it the first time.

I went in early on Sunday for a brunch and waited for my friends to come. The place was practically empty and I could choose the table of my choice, so I settled in a sofa and ordered a salad. I liked their concept of β€œSalads in a Jar” and I chose Chicken Broccoli. The staff was really warm and welcoming and made me feel very comfortable.

In the meantime people started coming in and the place was getting full. A family with a baby entered and the attendants asked me if I could move in to one of the centre tables with chairs, and I didn’t really mind. But the attendants were so apologetic and penitent that I questioned myself if it was wrong of me to not feel bad at all!

The salad looked appealing in a nice-looking glass jar, and when the lid was opened, it was steaming. To add to the effect, it was drizzling outside. A chipotle-like dressing was served on the side. The sizable quantity was more than enough for two people and it was the perfect comfort food for that kind of weather. I ordered β€œAlfredo” pizza (with mixed green leaves) and β€œRavioli of Spinach and Ricotta” (served with creamy arrabiatta). My friends joined in and the food was served. The pizza however had no green leaves, so I sent it back :D They came back with it after sprinkling it with some lettuce leaves(!) but it tasted good anyway. The ravioli was good, the tangy arrabiatta balanced the creaminess of the pockets. Later we ordered minced chicken lasagna which looked like a grilled sandwich cut in two triangles, but it was really good. The only disappoint-er was β€œCottage Cheese Kebab” - it just didn’t stand out. We were looking for a vegetarian appetizer, and the attendant recommended this to us, so we went along with it. We also found the dessert menu is quiet plain and limited.

One of the things that I liked about this place is that it offers free parking – which is difficult to find especially if you want to go out somewhere in this area. Overall, a good place to have a relaxed Mediterranean meal.

I have visited this place yesterday only I have tried their special signature dish that is polenta.
Would like to talk about the place first
The ambience is amazing, this restaurant is huge, its spacious they have open kitchen. Where in everything is visible the hygiene level is at the top most would give 10 on 10 for that.
The staff is very cooperative.

Polenta :- Basically polenta is a corn meal, where are they have also added garlic. They spread Polenta on a wooden plank. and then they garnish it with different types of veggies, leafy vegetables, chicken, Pineapple, herbs and the rest
but not to forget the two different types of sauces one is Marina sauce and the second one is pesto sauce.
This goes very very well with the polenta and makes it more special. Last but the least another coating of Parmesan cheese and cheddar cheese.
This dish is just mouth watering.
A note to remember :- if you are planning to try this dish would request you all to inform the restaurant people a day prior as this dash takes maximum 5 hours for preparation.
Also this dash serves 5 to 6 people.

Usually recommend this place and do try there signature dish that is polenta.

Olive Wheat Grape, is a restaurant at Prabhat road, Pune, specializing in Mediterranean cuisine. After hearing so much about this restaurant, I was very eager to visit this place. We specially travelled all the way from Mumbai to Pune to try our hands on the much talked about Polenta. The moment you enter the restaurant, you are greeted by huge large windows, spilling ample daylight inside. In case this fails to impress you, their courteous staff will surely do so.

The restaurant is well laid out with a decent dΓ©cor & fresh interiors. One unique thing here is their Open Kitchen, where in you can actually see the chefs working upon your meal. The Polenta comes in 3 variants, Vegetable, Chicken & Mutton. We had ordered the Chicken polenta. Finally the chef, Kapil arrived with a can with piping hot polenta. This polenta is spread onto a thick wooden plank upon which the toppings will be added. The flavours emanating out from the polenta was making me more restless to try my hands onto the polenta. The polenta is mainly prepared by corn meal cooked with generous amount of garlic. The polenta was then crowned by toppings which included chicken wings, chicken seek kabab, Mushroom, Pineapple & other exotic vegetables & herbs. Finally the polenta was garnished by Marinara sauce, Pesto sauce & loads of parmesan & cheddar cheese. Believe me, this dish in not for the faint hearted. It takes 4-5 people to eat up the entire dish.

The polenta was nicely cooked having the right consistency & one could easily feel the garlic that went into the cooking. The chicken wings were soft, tender & so were the chicken seek kabab. The pineapple was just amazing to taste & felt like having it on & on. It really gave a very satisfying feel having the polenta with the toppings along with.

Thanks to Olive wheat Grape for dishing out such a mouthwatering delicacy. Surely not to be missed.

Have recently visited this place with my family, Specially trying polenta for the very first time in my entire life it was a complete new experience for me.
OLIVE WHEAT GRAPE or OWG have had a lot about this place and specially the signature dish that is Polenta. This place serves Mediterranean and Continental cuisine.
Olive wheat grape is spacious and very well kept. The ambience is also good to go with, very simple and decent but eye catching. Also the staff is very helpful and cooperative and specially the chef they are well aware about the dish.

So I have tried the famous signature there which is Poland.
This Dish serve vegetarian and non vegetarian toppings both at the same time .
Polenta which is basically a cornmeal which was full of garlic as well it is amazing to taste. They have different types of polenta .
We have tried the chicken one where in there was hot polenta whuch thet have spread it on a wooden plank... And was garnished with different toppings like vegetables, chicken ,seek kabab were there herbs, fruits for also there and not to forget the two types of sauces pesto sauce and marinara sauce which turned out very well with this polenta.

Would highly recommend this dish as it is healthy for the diet conscious people you are good to go with this one.

Very important:- This dish is sufficient for 5 to 6 people. And you may find different varieties of polenta. Also not to forget if you are planning to you go with this dish please inform the restaurant people well in advance as this dish takes 5 hours for preparation.

Overall would recommend this place and the special signature does that is polenta.

Olive Wheat Grave or OWG as popularly known is restaurant specializing in Mediterranean and continental cuisine. At present they are hosting a selective veg menu in the spirit of on-going Shravan Mas. We were invited for a special tasting to suggest how to create and satisfy cravings for the veggie lovers in town. A quick insight into our experience from the tasting:

We tried a few mock tales like spicy kokum fizz and orange crush. I will admit that mock tales were a lot better than typically available. The kokum fizz had burst of multiple flavours from tangy to sweet syrup to spicy chilli imparting some heat to the drink. I will say I really enjoyed the spicy quotient to my drink.

In soups there were two options to savour from: Roasted garlic cauliflower & cheese soup and creamy green pea’s soup. While pea’s soup was tempting and a close relative of broccoli soup, the cauliflower soup was simply ecstatic and raised the expectations bar couple of notches higher. The thick, cheesy soup had a perfect consistency; adequate salinity and a mild burnt buttery feel to it which simply stirred the soul. Unfortunately the garlic bread served along was unimpressive and should be looked into. Once perfected, I can visit the place just to have this combo over and over. #MustHave

Arancini balls: They were a great start to the meal ahead and I appreciated that they were not at all oily since they have a tendency to become oily at times. The balls made from arborio rice were golden brown, adequate crispy and paired really well with the accompanying Pesto Calabrese sauce. I would appreciate a slightly generous use of mozzarella or parmesan within balls however this could be slightly personal and I will give the recipe a nod. #GoodStart

Ratatouille pizza: the name itself had me intrigued. Ratatouille originally an Italian peasant’s dish is getting popular in the town and in a fusion avatar least to say. I had eaten Ratatouille earlier many times but a R-Pizza was a welcoming change. Apart from the bell peppers, sun dried tomatoes et all it has garlic, zucchini and aubergines for toppings. The cheese used will be less as veggies need to stand out essentially. Mix variants of cheese can make the dish more tempting but full marks for the dish so far. #ShouldTry

Spaghetti in carrot sauce:, A spaghetti in a carrot sauce is certainly something rare to find on the menu and we wanted to make the most of this opportunity. Carrot sauce was very well made and blended in perfectly with the spaghetti. The sauce can turn cold and sticky quickly; so be sure to savour it asap. #KnomKnom

Harissa Hummus: This was more of a desi hummus side dish served with pita bread. While the hummus was perfected and has adequate spicy quotient and olive oil drizzled over it; the in house pita bread needed some correction. A little more porous and less flour would have been nice. The dish in itself can be a good side dish and may be a bit of a palate cleanser too. #LovedIt

Spinach and Mushroom: A dish that uses mushrooms in a mash potato base with cheese sauce. While the dish concept was brilliant we suggested few ways of the changes that can make the dish outstanding. I would personally prefer it a lot more cheesy (fluid cheesy sauce) and a lot less of mashed potato for the mashed potato took away all the subtle flavours the dish had to offer. #ConvincingDish

Jibna Paneer Kebab: These were green chilli and mint marinade kebabs which made a sorry figure for the other delicacies on the table. It was not upto the mark at all and I would give it a pass. #Pass

Om Ali: Please make way for the sweet tooth’s in the house for here comes - Om Ali/ Umm Ali. This national dish of Egypt is made from fresh puff pastry and condensed milk. A scoop of vanilla or a fresh cream dollop is the most suitable topping for this dish. Simply loved the dish. It had diluted condensed milk with just enough sweetness for everyone’s liking. It had almonds and pistachios flakes drizzled all over.

7 layered coffee and chocolate mousse: This was another sad affair after paneer. The name was misleading for starters. It is a 7 layered mousse but it does not have 7 layers of either coffee or chocolate flavours as we envisioned. It has about 3 distinct flavours packed in repetitive 7 layers. The portion size by serving it in a shot glass was also not convincing. We discussed lot of ideas on how to overhaul the dish completely; for the dish in its present avatar, was just blah! #Skip

In a nutshell, with its central location and a wide selection of Mediterranean dishes, Olive Wheat Grape is simply OMG and sure to satisfy your taste buds.

A beautiful and comfortable restaurant situated on Prabhat road serving authentic Mediterranean food.
The vibrant walls and interior decoration are just so freshening.
Well starting with
☘️- MOCKTAILS
1- spicy kokum mocktail
2- orange fruity mocktail
Both of them were fantastic especially the spicy kokum. It was unlike other normal mocktails and the spicy flavour refreshes your taste buds.
☘️- SOUPS
1- Cream of green peas
2-Roasted cauliflower and cheese soup
Both the soups were outstanding.
☘️- STARTERS
1- Arancini balls
2- Jibna paneer
3- Harisa hummus
I loved the hummus because it was spiced up and went perfectly with pita bread.
Jibna paneer was marinated with coriander sauce which I didnot like much.
Arancini balls were perfectly fried and it wasn’t much oily.
☘️-MAINCOURSE
1- spinach and Mushroom
It was accompanied by mashed patatoes and cheese sauce.
☘️- DESSERT
1- Umali
Normal khari socked in milk maid and sweetners.
2- 7 layered coffee and chocolate mousse
I was a bit disappointed with this one as the size was way too small and it was very bitter and strong.

-Hummus and pita bread with extra pita, Penne with tomato basil cream sauce, fudgy brownie
-β‚Ή450 for one
-It's a Mediterranean cuisine restaurant. Olive symbolises olive oil, wheat is for bread and grape refers to wine- all three being core components of the Mediterranean cuisine.
-This place has a decent ambience and very friendly staff.
-Coming to the food, everything was delicious!! I would totally go there again and try the other dishes!

It's a nice cozy small restaurant on Prabhat Road. As name suggests it serves Italian. We tried fried ravioli with Spinach with mustard cheese sauce. The mustard cheese sauce was absolute delight and the highlight of the dish. Then we tried Red Lentil soup. Soup was divine and on a rainy afternoon, I could have had many. Then we went for Penne in tomato basil sauce, it was fabulous as well, u can't go wrong with this dish. To end the meal we ordered fudgy brownie which was nice as well, was not too sweet just right, not sizzling but came with vanilla icecream on top. Nice ambience, a service could have been faster.. Will visit again to try meat section soon.......

Fairly looking neat and clean new restaurant opened up on streets on Prabhat road. Look wise quite mediocre but they have an open kitchen for everything. So all’s visible to everyone.
In picture is a Pesto Pasta with chicken, had an amusing aroma and spectacular fresh taste of basil.

Olive Wheat Grape is fine dining, Mediterranean Cuisine restaurant located centrally on Prabhat Road. While it is already making waves due to its unique offering, they recently launched the Istanbul Food Festival on 15th July.

The interiors of Olive Wheat Grape restaurant are open and spacious. It’s an open concept with live kitchen.

I went there to sample their food festival menu.

Soup
The Chicken, Chickpea and White Beans Soup was a lovely flavorsome broth with generous chunks of chicken, chickpeas and white beans. Definitely a good way to start your meal.

Appetizers
Kumpir, a baked potato with various fillings, is a popular fast food in Turkey. A typical street food sold mainly in Ortakoy, Istanbul, Kumpir is loaded with an array of toppings. Olive Wheat Grape's take on the Kumpir had red, green and yellow bell peppers, sweet corn, black olives, and drizzled with mayo, cheese and pesto sauces. Such simple flavors but blew my mind. #HighlyRecommended

The Doner Kebab is usually made of meat cooked on a vertical rotisserie, which was invented in the 19th-century Ottoman Empire (now Turkey). While the Doner Kebab Chicken at Olive Wheat Grape was served in a shawarma style wrap, the flavors were nonetheless delicious. #YumYum

Mains
Bulgur is a cereal food made from the cracked parboiled groats of several different wheat species, most often from durum wheat. It originates in Middle Eastern cuisine. The Bulgur Pilaf with Veggies here had broccoli and bell peppers mixed in the pilaf and wrapped in thin slices of zucchini. Lovely presentation and taste.

The Roast Chicken with Tzatziki Sauce and Pita was a generous portion of mains with moist and juicy chicken thighs with a lovely char of the roast. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the slight char gave a subtle hint of crunch in the bite. The tzatziki sauce was a perfect accompaniment. #YumYum

Desserts
The Apricots and Almonds in Rose Sherbet felt like their take on the ubiquitous falooda with a blend of fruits and dry fruits in a sherbet base. It was a unique combination of flavors of apricot with rose sherbet that go surprisingly good together.

However the showstopper of the meal and undoubtedly the star of the festival would have to be their Semoline Cake with Orange Cream.

A wonderfully moist semolina (rawa) cake made by mixing hot milk in the batter itself, it was decorated with dollops of orange flavored whipped cream. Insanely delicious combination, this cake can easily be reason enough to visit the place. #DeliciousDelicious#HighlyRecommended

The Istanbul Food Festival here at Olive Wheat Grape is on till the 28th July (extended by a week due to public demand) and you cannot afford to miss it if you enjoy or wish to explore Mediterranean cuisine.

#ankzfoodreviews Olive Wheat Grape, is currently hosting a #Seafood Festival starting from today till 20th October. Location : 96/B/97, Suvarnrekha Boulevard, Prabhat Road, Erandwane, Pune This has a neat and clean open kitchen. With the guts to have so, this shows how transparent they are towards their customers and are confident about themselves #appreciated A quiet and cozy environment , having a view of prabhat road, we started with a soup named #Italian seafood stew, a soup made by cooking crabs, prawns & clams together. #dotry Seafood #Platter - it included Smoked #Salmon Crostini - thin smoked salmon slice over baguette. #musttry I even liked the homemade tagliatelle with clams, calamari & prawns, this in house string aglio e olio pasta had got flavours. Do visit this place to try out their hatke seafood dishes! #ankzfoodreviews Olive Wheat Grape, a place located in heart of the city (if I may call it so) #PrabhatRoad. #MustTry #Mutton_Roganh_Josh, a popular kashmiri dish was prepared using goat meat and not lamb/sheep meat. Not a big fan of mutton but the meat was fresh and juicy, had taken good flavor of gravy spices too. The gravy looked heavenly on arrival. Red acceptably spicy gravy with burst of flavours from whole spices wasn't much thick but was toothsome. #Chicken_Biryani, a non DUM version of the chicken biryani, which didn't make me miss the dum part of itπŸ˜… This luxurious delight will awestruck you with all ri

Olive Wheat Grape is the newest and finest all day casual dining restaurant. We being an ardent lover of restaurants and cafes which offer comfortable as well as soothing environment where one can relish delicious delicacies and we have now found this gem of a place which now only impresses you by the unique and classy ambience but also please your taste buds by scrumptious food. The harmonious music at the background act as a mood refresher. They serve Mediterranean and Continental cuisine. They have open kitchen area where one can literally take pleasure in seeing your food being cooked in front of you. In addition to this the cooking area is utterly hygienic and well maintained. Staff & Service- Staff is courteous and diligent towards their work. What we gorge on- Mocktails- Although they don't serve alcohol here but you get a feel, like as if you're sipping cocktail. We tried Strawberry Banana Margarita and Cuddles on the Beach. The look itself is appealing. Fusion of different juice and hint of specific fizz makes it a bang on. #highlyrecommended Appetizers- 1. Garlic Prawns- Juicy prawns tossed in olive oil, veggies and distinctive spices. Were falvourful and had peculiar taste. #highlyrecommended 2. Chicken Shish Taouk- Boneless succulent chicken well marinated and tossed in delectable spices with base of lemon and garlic. This one indeed fills your heart with joy. Chicken was of supreme quality. #highlyrecommended Main course- 1. Chicken Pepperoni- Pizza crust was thin, airy and crispy topped with veggies, layer of mozzarella cheese and fresh pepperoni. 2. Pesto Pasta with Grilled Chicken- Penne pasta tossed in pesto sauce, ample of fresh and healthy veggies. The grilled chicken along with pasta went very well. The best part is they don't add cream to it so it gives a very natural taste. Served with a side of garlic bread. Dessert- 1. Omali- This was something new for us so we thought of trying it out. Omali is made up of crispy, flaky and fluffy puff biscuits or what we call it as 'khari'. Puff biscuit placed on the dish, and condensed milk added on it along with sweet aromatic syrup and chopped nuts. Rightly balanced sweetness makes it rich and indulgent dessert. One of the best dessert i had tried lately. #highlyrecommended Can't wait to visit OWG again and try their other

STARTERS Pickled Veggies - Typical Middle Eastern styled pickled vegetables, beets, capsicum, carrots, cauliflower etc.

In soups we tried two options: Roasted garlic cauliflower & cheese soup and creamy green pea’s soup. #MustHave Arancini balls: They were a great start to the meal ahead and I appreciated that they were not at all oily since they have a tendency to become oily at times. The balls made from arborio rice were golden brown, adequate crispy and paired really well with the accompanying Pesto Calabrese sauce. I would appreciate a slightly generous use of mozzarella or parmesan within balls however this could be slightly personal and I will give the recipe a nod. #GoodStart Ratatouille pizza: the name itself had me intrigued. #ShouldTry Spaghetti in carrot sauce:, A spaghetti in a carrot sauce is certainly something rare to find on the menu and we wanted to make the most of this opportunity. Carrot sauce was very well made and blended in perfectly with the spaghetti. The sauce can turn cold and sticky quickly; so be sure to savour it asap. #KnomKnom Harissa Hummus: This was more of a desi hummus side dish served with pita bread. While the hummus was perfected and has adequate spicy quotient and olive oil drizzled over it; the in house pita bread needed some correction. A little more porous and less flour would have been nice. The dish in itself can be a good side dish and may be a bit of a palate cleanser too. #LovedIt Spinach and Mushroom: A dish that uses mushrooms in a mash potato base with cheese sauce. While the dish concept was brilliant we suggested few ways of the changes that can make the dish outstanding. I would personally prefer it a lot more cheesy (fluid cheesy sauce) and a lot less of mashed potato for the mashed potato took away all the subtle flavours the dish had to offer. #ConvincingDish Om Ali: Please make way for the sweet tooth’s in the house for here comes - Om Ali/ Umm Ali. In a nutshell, with its central location and a wide selection of Mediterranean dishes, Olive Wheat Grape is simply OMG and sure to satisfy your taste buds.

#IwasInvited #IstanbulFoodFestival OWG has become one of the most talked about restaurant in Deccan/Prabhat Road area. No matter its a weekend or a weekday it's almost full house. This is all due to the quality of food they serve, all the credit goes to the Executive Chef Kapil Moghe & the team OWG. It's ongoing Istanbul Food Festival (15th-28st July) is one of its kind in Pune, which should not be missed. The OWG team has curated separate Festival menu along with the regular Γ  la carte menu. Being a vegetarian I was bit sceptical about the Veg delicacies availability for the festival. But to my surprise they almost had equal number of veg options to Non-Veg. Please refer to the festival menu attached to this post. Here is the glimpse of the food I tried at OWG.

We reserved a place on Saturday for dinner. Though I feel the decor is a bit confused / doesn't seem to come together, the pita, hummus and our soup made up for it amply. I ordered a lemon chicken for mains.. the chicken served with couscous was very well cooked but I had expected a stronger hint of lemon or a tanginess that didn't come through.. The 'Cherry Coke Tail' mocktail is recommended. As a whole the menu is eclectic.. but didn't give a clear sense of what the focus or underlying theme was.. Certainly worth a visit... The food might just get you to come back...

OLIVE WHEAT GRAPE or OWG is a popular restaurant which is exclusively specialised in Mediterranean and continental cuisine .... Have heard a lot about this dish so thought of trying it out ... Also we people have specially travelled from mumbai to pune just to try this dish .... Would like to tell you as the moment we reached there the very first thing came to my mind was that this place is huge. This ambiance is also great, not to hoity toity not to low it was just perfect. The staff was very cooperative and the chef described everything in detail the specialty about this particular dish and was also mentioning every single thing step by step So i have tried there famous signature dish Note :- This particular dish needs to ordered well in advance as it takes 5 hours approx for preparation . And the quantity of this dish is sufficient for 5 to 6 people, also they have different varieties in it. POLENTA :- Polenta is a dish of boiled cornmeal that was historically made from other grains. It may be served as a hot porridge, and there were lots of garlic in it which made it more tastier. Basically this is a huge dish which was served on a huge wooden plank. Where in they have spread this polenta. There was a mixture of vegetarian and non Vegetarian toppings which included Broccoli , potatoe wedges, zuicini, different types of bell pepper, beans, seek kabab, chicken wings , pineapple, cherry tomatoes, two types of olive, Two types of leafy vegetables, spicy marinara sauce, pesto sauce and then in the end Parmesan cheese and cheddar cheese. This polenta was very well made Especially with the sauces it was even more tastier. This dish was just yummmmm and highly recommend ... Do give a ahot if you visit pune or if you are a puneri ... Cool place to hang out. Bar still to open but soon I think. The lemon iced tea was superb - strong and minty, stayed till the ice melted. Didn't try too much to eat though just chicken wings but I'll be back! Ambiance is a little confusing as they have tried to include the multiple Mediterranean visuals but it looks more like a clubhouse. Not dimly lit though so no complaints really. A small hole in the pocket for this interesting eat.
