i was fed up of eating in and around bavdhan and a few days ago i stepped in here to hv chicken biryani..d taste was so good n food so fresh dat i ordered a 599 non veg combo..n again in one word..d food was fresh..tasteful..sumptuous..it was so satisfying dat i called dem again just 2 thank dem..guys..dis place tops my recommendation list in bavdhan..keep up d good work!!
I have had the best chicken ever at an outlet. Though common chicken dishes but they taste special. Well cooked and soft delicious chicken makes this one of my favorites.
Do not go by the ambience as it is a tiny outlet but a must visit. Or you can order from here if you do not like the ambience.
This place has been the first choice in Bavdhan when I look up for shawarma . I have ordered for chicken shawarma plate and its served with mayo , beet root and shawarma pieces . And it has served my taste and appetite after a heavy gym work out. I liked the veg , chicken and mutton biryanis too and they were more than expectedly tasty.
The rating of 4is just for food (not for ambiance). Tandoori chicken is awesome and other kebabs are also delicious. Biryani is better than many other rated restaurants of Pune.
Yummy shwarma served with loads of meonise is the signature dish and completely makes you neglect the not so great ambiance...great place for quick bites..
Mughal Darbar Express has always been our takeaway joint. Always been a joint for to pick up Shawarmas.
Being a Friday we decided to go for Chicken Shawarmas and today added one more kabab to the order - Murg Banjara Kabab.
Kabab was soft well cooked and spicy as wanted. A must try I would say complete value for money.
Shawarmas are great here but today felt little down. But they are good with lot of meat, fries and the required sauces.
So a good place to pick up and value for money. However I have never has food eating at the joint.
I wont talk about ambience here, as its an outlet in bavdhan and its small outlet, not much seating capacity.. But if we talk about food, its good, nice food cooked and served nicely, staff is good and service is good.. Nice place overall
In a place like bavdhan when you look for good food at an affordable price i would suggest you this place. The owner/manger was friendly and coming to the food, the quality and quantity both were pretty good. They gave me parcel at 11.30 pm around so it was like a saviour. Go there enjoy the food you wont regret. Do visit cheers.

Stop the horses. Lay down your swords, you battle( read strenuous job) weary soul and come to the Mughal Darbar express... to have a the royal cuisine experience.
Ya you are at Mughal Darbar.. The ambience is more to the taste of an eatery for lower court officers. Cramped with no sense of style. The entrance itself tries best not be visible with a neighbouring eatery and shop utilising too much real estate.
But then you get down to eat, you see a menu which is quite "Mughal". Try the amazing Tandoori chicken. At that price its a gem of a preparation with super soft chicken cooked and seasoned to perfection. Be wary who prepares it though cause once I got mine a bit charred. The biryani is also quite good but a bit dry at times.
The Kebabs are also a delight with great range. But the portion size of Kebabs are quite small. I am not a shawarma fan so can't comment on that.
The staff is courteous but not very skilled. All else is just average. If you like your chicken then this is your place.
my husband loves biriyani and so far he has found biriyani from mughal darbar good in comparison to some fancy restaurants. He wants quality and quantity.
The shawarma is also pretty decent with the vinegar pickled veggies. the place is quite small and hence we usually do takeouts or home deliveries. we have also had butter chicken and plain naan from here. My experience with the butter chicken went from okay to good with every bite of the gravy dipped naan I had. The chicken pieces were very limited in comparison to the amount of gravy provided.
Good food. I had ordered chicken shorba. It had a generous quantity of chicken pieces. The amount of pepper in the Shorba was perfect. It was nice and piping hot when it was delivered.
On a lighter note it has helped me recover from my cough and cold!
very good food quality, Kebab, Kathi Rolls is amazing... very nice combo offers you must try.. and specially i love Mutton Rogan Ghos with rumali roti..
Great variety of kebabs. murg malai kebab is amazingly tender and just so perfect.... Spicy lovers must try chicken angara kebab. It's small place with not so good ambience but just a perfect place for foodies.
You must go and try some sizzling kebabs with a lovely green chutney served in very less time.... Till the order is served chat with a friendly manager...
A small place on the road but serves great nonveg food. We order tandoori chicken and shawarma rolls and they were good. Tandoori chicken was perfectly cooked, with the masala being accurate.. shawarma roll had too much chicken which will leave you mouthful.. A place to be tried..

I choose this outlet today to fuel myself at noon time today. Thought someone would have written review about this outlet but find none. Still took the risk & went ahead for my Lunch in this food outlet. Mitigated my risk by ordering their Combo of Rs 259 which included 2 Naan+ Kathi Tikka + Chicken Biryani + Salad +400 ML soft drink.
Some description about the ambiance. It is OK not great. Sitting space on ground floor is cramped and for a large person like me it was really tough to climb that stairs. I think sitting space on their upper floor should be better.
After waiting for some time My order arrived. Naan & Kathi arrived. I was startled to see that how 'I will complete two Naan with a very small amount of Kathi Tikka still managed to complete one & half Naan. Kathi Tikka was spicy for my taste bud but I handled it well. Overall Naan + Kathi Tikka went very well. ( They should not serve two NAAN in a go to a single customer because till the time customer will start second one It would become a chewy NAAN)
One part which I found appreciating was the presentation of food was good.
Then arrived Chicken Biryani and as expected the Handi in which Chicken Biryani arrived was really small. Biryani was good but I don't like to add any flavor like curd or some gravy in Biryani because it is an injustice to a brilliant dish like Biryani.
This Biryani was a real dry one still I enjoyed it. Over all In Rs 249 I have my Lunch. I think If they will remove the concept of Soft Drink from there Combo & will add little more amount of Kathi & Biryani it would have been a hell of a deal.
Service was good & Staff were polite.
