Review The Tipsy Duckling Bar And Eatery - Pune

Trupti Rawade
Savory delight! The butter chicken dish at this restaurant is an absolute masterpiece. The rich blend of spices and creamy texture made every bite a culinary pleasure. The portion size was generous, satisfying both the appetite and the taste buds. The service was not only delicious but also pet-friendly! The staff welcomed my furry companion warmly, offering water and a comfortable spot. A rare find for pet owners looking to enjoy a flavorful meal without compromising on hospitality. Highly recommended for both food enthusiasts and those with four-legged friends!

Suitable for quick dinner-drinks. Once famous for its craft beers, the place now serves the usual bottled brands. Drinks are complimented with fried fritters and salted peanuts. Other sides, such as masala corn can be ordered from the menu (do try this one out!) Service and food quality is great. Staff is helpful and cordial.

Visited this place few days ago for the brunch with my friends. As we are a gang , We tried their various food dishes such as Prawn koliwada, Tandoori pomfret, Veg platter, Ghee roast with laccha paratha, Butter paneer loader ( pizza), Thai curry chicken with rice, Roasted chicken with spicy bbq sauce, Mississippi mud cake. Believe me all the dishes were super delicious and beautiful in looking. My favourite thing was thai curry and roaster chicken. The staff and owner were very kind and supporting. I highly recommend you to please visit this place once.

We ordered crispy corn, chicken crispy, hot basil chicken with burnt garlic noodles and virgin mojito. Loved it.. Good Chinese food.

It's one of the best restaurants in the area. It has innovative dishes and ample choices for both veg and nonveg lovers. All the dishes we tried were yummy. Presentation is nice and so is the ambience. Only problem I felt was that it doesn't have large seating area, so if you are seating outside, you will have to suffer passive smoking.

Decent place. They uesd to serve craft beers but no more on menu card now. Otherwise a decent place to chill with friends in evening. I asked for a craft beer and they said they had hefeweizen (served with frayums and boiled peanuts).. which was good. Tried a Chinese fried rice which was again decent.

A really great place for amazing food! They have amazing dishes especially appetizers. Loved the Peri peri chicken Quesadillas and Roast chicken with mushroom sauce. Drinks collection is quite good. Berry blast is a must try!! Smoking area is mostly for outdoor seating A bit expensive as compared to the food portions but really amazing!

Overall a good place to catch up with friends for a drink. This place is situated on Karve Road and is easily visible. There's generally space by the roadside to park & it was not crowded when i visited on a weekday evening. I tried a couple of starters ,among those, the buffalo wings, were pretty good as well as the Chana jor. The Raddler under beer cocktails was good as well. However there were just 2 draught beers available when i visited. The apple cider was not great & the liquor varieties mentioned on the Menu card at least looks quite limited. The seating & lighting are good & spacious, the service was good as well. Recommended for a casual Drink with friends!

Tipsy Duckling Tipsy Duckling is a venture from same management that used to run Ugly Duckling on Baner pashan link road, TD is located on Karve road and serves continental cuisines with most of the dishes which are done with some twist or fusion along with an extensive bar menu. The restaurant has a seating capacity of around 120 pax and the ambience of this place is pleasant. TD serves some amazing beer on tap from Kimaya and Yavasura Breweries from Pune and Ninkasi Brewworks from Mumbai. As update by the management team this place has a one of a kind beer tap which is suspended one unlike most of the places which is on countertop or mounted on the wall. I was really impressed with the dedicated menu card for the beer on taps which has all possible details like Name f the brewing co, info about the beer flavors, Hop Level, Alcohol Strength, Color, Taste(Less Bitter, Bitter, Sweet, etc), and food paring option along with it as well. Mocktails Kiwi Frost, Mandrin Blast, Fugutive, Blueberry Ice Cream Soda. Mandrin Blast was my best pick out of it, it had a orange flavor crush along with mild hint of vanilla. Starters Chicken Ghee Roast Nachos [Rs 285]: Nachos topped with beans and chicken ghee roast was good in taste, the chicken was well cooked and it was medium spicy, I was expecting it to be a bit spicy. #Recommended. Chicken Kheema Paani Poori [Rs 218]: Pani Poori served along with chicken kheema, boiled potatoes, green peas and Kolhapuri Pandhara rassa was extremely disappointing dish that I had in recent times. The Pandhara rassa had a strong punch of cinnamon only and was salty, the chicken kheema was also not finely minced and the combination didn’t work out for me. Chicken Thecha Kebab [Rs 311]: Boneless chicken pieces done with green chilly based marianation was good in taste, I was expecting it to have a spicy punch as thecha is supposed to be a bit spicy; however it was good in taste with tender and perfectly cooked chicken pieces. #Recommended Tandoori Aloo [Rs 245]: Mini Aloo pieces done in a tandoori masala was excellent in taste, it was served with mint chutney and pickled onion which was also superbly done. Indeed a #Musthave for non veg lovers as well. Pesto Arancini [Rs 248]: Rice balls stuffed with cheese and pesto filling was crispy on outside and was soft inside, it was topped with a medium spicy tomato based sauce which was flavorful and it was good in taste. #Recommended Chicken Chettinad Sliders [Rs 223]: The mini buns were stuffed with lettuce and chicken chettinad pieces in it, the buns were soft and fresh however the chicken chettinad masala was very mild on flavors, the chicken was soft and juicy but the overall it didn’t impress me. Mains Butter Chicken [Rs 361]: Char grilled tandoori chicken pieces in a thick and rich gravy was superb in taste, it was creamy and buttery. It went well with Butter Naan. #Highlyrecommended. Khowsuey [Rs 315]: Assorted veggies in aromatic and delicious coconut based gravy was superb in taste. The noodles and condiments were topped on the gravy base and it was served in a kind of pre mixed and ready to eat form. #Musthave Ghee Roast Chicken with Laccha Paratha [Rs 300]: The Chicken pieces were well cooked but the gravy was thin in consistency and it was mild on flavors. Didn’t impress me. Desserts Passion Fruit [Rs 200] & Blueberry Cheesecake [Rs 205]: The Cheesecakes were soft, lite and creamy and the bottom layer had a thin crispy crust. Both were superb in taste. #Highlyrecommended. Frozen Hot Chocolate [Rs 208]: Frankly I am not a hot chocolate lover, this one was good in taste, other people on the table enjoyed it a lot. The presentation part of this dessert was inviting. Overall: Service was slightly slow, restaurant was hygienic, tipsy duckling has many options in beer on tap and paired up with some amazing food and reasonable rates it seems a good option to me. Thanks a lot Team Tipsy Duckling for hosting us. Location: Shop 2-3, Shubhankaroti Apartment, Suvarnabaug Colony, Opposite Business Hub, Karve Road, Kothrud, Pune

The best part here was food and cocktail. We had pizza and sliders. Both were yummy. The pizza was best. We ordered Sicilian olives and sun dried tomatoes pizza with tomato basil & mozzarella slider. At last we ordered daal tadka and jeera rice. It was yummy. Less oily. Must visit place for food. But the ambience is dull.

One of the better hangout spots in Kothrud. Decent selection of craft beer and decent food. The food is something that needs to match the overall ambiance, setting and the prices. They have indoor as well as outdoor seating and despite being located on the main road, its quite well-shaded, quiet, and isolated. A good spot to visit with friends or even family and catch up over a beer. Just wish their food was more value for money.

Its a beer and kitchen hotel. You will get variety of beer from famous bruvaries like green apple flavoured beer, coffee flavoured beer, alphanso flavoured beer etc. Food quality is awesome. Quantity is less and rates are high. Ambience is nice. Music is loudy always. Service needs to be improved. Small parking space available. Must try "kheema pani puri".

It is an amazing place. Our waiter was very courteous. For starters we had two veg and one nonveg. For veg starter we had panner achari kebab and nachos. For non veg starter we had the Tipsy Duckling Chicken Satay. All the three dishes were fantastic. We weren't hungry after the appetizers. So we ordered the Dal Tadka and Jeera rice. They were very nice. For dessert we had the blueberry cheesecake. It was fabulous. But there should be more dessert options and what we wanted to try wasn't available. Also there should be more dessert options. Other than that lovely restaurant

Overall great experience. About half the craft beers on the menu were not available. Those available were really amazing. Food was above average. They should add more seafood options though.

Tipsy duckling is newer place opened near mirch masala on karve road. Its main USP is craft beers from ninkasi kimya and yavasura breworks. As far as i know its the only one serving craft beer in kothrud area. The location is on main road and easily spotted with its duck mascot and black interior. There are 2 sitting areas. Smaller inside one and larger outside open area with tables and high chairs. They have good offers in happy hours on craft beer and other drinks. The availability of craft beers changes so be sure to ask in advance whether it is available or not. The review is consolidation of ny 3 visits here. Craft Beers: standard craft beers such as hefewizen (german wheat beer), belgian wit bier, saison(4 grain malt). Other niche beers such as vanilla porter, cream stout, badil peppercorn witbier, kolsch coffee mead and apple cider. I tried beer taster to get a feel what i like and ended up ordering belgian witbier by yavasura brewery hefewizen apple cider and saison. These are the most common ones i recommend. Food : I had only starters here and all 3 times ended up ordering chicken ghee roast nachos : ghee roasted chicken nachos with tortillas sour cream and kidney beans. They tasted good but as one can aee from pictures each time was different taste and not consistent. However they were good and go well with beer. Butter chicken loader pizza : Thin crust pizza with cheese and butter chicken chunks. Tasted good. Potato fries : served crisp with dip. Service was quick and good. The food quality was good and offers were exciting. In the evening tables are very close and atmosphere ended up being chaotic. Overall I believe an exciting place with specialty of craft beers and good food for kothrud residents.

Get ready to Freshen Taste buds at Tipsy Duckling

It was on our wish list to have a lovely food outing with family and yesterday was the day. We wished to break free from the typical Punjabi food environment and enjoy tranquility for a while. Tipsy Ducking & Bar suggested by dear Kadambari, provided all that and freshness in terms of decor as well as food. The location is conveniently set in Kothrud's dinning Hub. In tune with its surroundings, the restaurant had simple furniture which made it very comfortable to dine.

The menu was very interesting, the food which was being served to other guest sitting in open air was looking even more so. Like hungry diners we couldn't resist, and immediately started ordering. The curtain raised up on the plate and as the lights in our eyes lit up, we saw a a total new concept of Chicken Kheema Pani Puri. It was uniquely different and it carved the way for dil mange more feeling. It was very refreshing and was reminiscent of street food we have all enjoyed growing up. Next online were Potato & Cheese croquett, yummy Cheesy fries. Tandoor alu, Multani Mushrooms, Paneer Achari Kebab, Thecha Chicken Kebab (an eye and mouthwatering spicy delicacy), and Chatpata Chana. They were perfect bites to enjoy with the drinks. The Chicken Roulade, Aglio E Olio had a tasteful texture and temperament.

There is a charming cunningness in the cuisine at Tipsy Ducking. They were a delicious deception. The ingredients and flavors manipulated the mouth like a magician does. The Chef had made sure that cuisines don't overlap taste wise and authenticity was maintained.

The Mushroom Curry was light yet robust. But it was the accompanying Ghee roast Chicken and Laccha paratha along with steam rice that made one skip a beat.

The concept I feel, is to recreate Indian dishes that can easily travel along with the minds of the guest for days to come. This restaurant has a handful of delicious dishes, each unique, with their base somewhere in Indian flavors, yet transformed beyond recognition. The variety choice of drinks play an interesting symphony.

After this lovely dinner I can surely say that now I am more open to new concepts, new flavors and to exploring the unfamiliar.

#ankzfoodreviews
#SadWalaReview

For, The Tipsy Duckling

As we entered the first thing we noticed was a dim light with low music and overall a dull atmosphere. The seating seemed congested and very close to each other.

Service- It was extremely slow. The servers were not very keen either. Though the restaurant was pretty empty it took them more than 10 mins to take the order. After we were done it again took a lot of time for our bill too.

About Food:
1) Peri Peri Shankarpali- It was a packed shankarpali sprinkled with peri peri masala and served along with a peri peri dip. The shankarpali were heavily seasoned with the masala which made them extra spicy. I personally feel that they should serve plain mayo or a non spicy dip to balance the flavours. We thought it would be an in house made dish but were disappointed because of the over dose of peri peri.

2) Thecha Chicken- Chicken marinated in a thecha and cooked in tandoor. The chicken and marination both were undercooked. It tasted more like raw chillies coated with some chicken and seasoning. Did not like this as well. As we were super-hungry, we had to finish this and we did in no time.

3) Veg Khow Suey- This was also delayed as they forgot to place the order. This tasted yummy and flavourful. The condiments served were fresh too. This the only dish we we liked during the visit.

This is review is solely based on our that visit and our taste preferences. And may be this was a bad day for both of us.

As no one was bothered to ask us about the food or service even we didn’t bother to share it to them.😅

This place is a revolution in Kothrud. Bold move getting varieties of craft beer to K town, I had my inhibitions at the start but so glad this place proved me wrong. And it's not just about beers the food compliments their wide range of crafts and cocktails. Must visit, keep up the good work. Cheers!

Superb service . We had ordered a pungent dish but it turned out to be too spicy for our palette and the service staff immediately replaced it with another dish proactively even though we said we were ok . But he said no sir if u din find it as per your expectation we will not let you down. I am from Mumbai but believe u me I have not seen such superb service till date.

The Tipsy Duckling located in Kothrud is a gem. The ambience and decor is comfortable and cute. It has an outdoor as well as an indoor seating. We decided to sit outdoors. We had been here to celebrate my friend's birthday on a Sunday afternoon. The place wasn't crowded so we took the long table with the high chairs. The staff let us have the whole table even though we were just three.

The menu has some interesting Indian fusion food, pizza, tacos, sliders, nachos. The drinks menu too is extensive with a variety of draught beer.

We ordered mutton kheema sev puri, butter chicken nachos and very veggie enchilada along with apple cider and called for beer tasting too. I loved the kheema sev puri and chicken nachos.

Kheema Sev Puri: I expected 4 to 5 Puris but instead we were served with 8! The kheema was flavourful and not too spicy.

Chicken Nachos: There was a generous amount of chicken chunks topped with a dollop of sour cream.

The staff is eager to help and accommodating. We spent hours there eating and even after finishing off our meal, clicking pictures and just sitting and talking.

Tipsy Duckling is a great place if you want to hangout with your gang sipping beer 🍻 and listening to good music. I would like to visit it again to try the rest of the menu.

Food: 4/5
Ambience: 4/5
Service: 5/5

-With Zoha Peerbhoy

Nice place to hang out with friends. Only problem is lot of mosquitoes in the outside area and very few tables in the insude area. So if you are planning to go in a big group and decide to sit in the outside area then take necessary precautions to avoid mosquitoes.

One of the most amazing places I've been to in Pune. Everything from the food, the drinks and the ambience fit just right for me. The staff was courteous. And it's not too heavy on your pockets. I would recommend this place to everyone looking for a chill afternoon or evening over some good beer and food.

We had the Thai Cottage Cheese for starters which were made to perfection. The right amount of spice, and curry for the paneer to absorb and evolve into a classic dish. The Sicily Olives and Sun dried Tomatoes Pizza mesmerized me and I felt I was actually in Italy. The thin crust complimented the pizza very well.

For me, this is a place serving enormous portions! For the same reason, I couldn't try much from the menu! It was a Sunday and there was a long waiting! But the food is definitely worth it. I had ghee roasted chicken nachos and butter chicken tacos. Both were very good in taste. Prices are a little high but the portions make them worth it. Ambience is lit and the restaurant has a nice laid back vibe. Surely worth visiting!

The place is very good with good ambience and a friendly staff. The service is also very fast and the food is delicious. The cherry on top is that they serve crafted beers which you must try.

Visited the place for the first time! The place is well known in Kothrud. We were late and hungry. Because all the other places were flooded with crowd. It’s friendship day. Wanted to spend some good time with my close friends and was very hopeful about the food.
Sorry to mention but the experience was not very good. "Shravan" has started already and me and my friends follow the custom religiously. The food served was non veg although the order clearly reads all the veg items.
Absolutely disappointing. Service was quite poor. I am not sure if I’ll be visiting the place again.
Shruti Dandekar
This was my second visit. Although not very satisfactory one. The food we ordered was veg pizza and what they served was chicken pizza. I being a non vegetarian person was not so disappointed with this but my friends came here to eat specially veg food because of the month of ‚Shravan‘. Unfortunately one of the friends ate chicken unknowingly. So I just wanted to request the staff to be more alert next time. After all feelings are important and food has direct connection to it!

Tipsy Duckling is a cozy place in Kothrud,Pune. The ambience is simple and spacious.
Creamy stout has a smoky caramelized flavour to it which hits your taste buds quite seemingly.
Chicago Garden is one of the best VEG pizza I have had recently! Barbecue Wings as Good and finger licking tasty as always!
Thus a great experience in Pune! Kudos!
1 star I cut as someone puked in the wash basin.. A let down!!

The pesto is the best I have had in Pune. The perfect balance. I could eat that every day.
I have been searching for a good pesto sauce in Pune for the last 2 years. Finally, a restaurant that knows how to make the perfect pesto. Thank you

The taste is ok, not so good.. I would I said a perfect continental but it lack some ingredients or I was unhappy with their brewery.. there was no freshness in the beer.. though the waiter said it's fresh.. the starter chicken was missing the salt to taste... I like the Alfredo chicken penne pasta.. may be next time I find some tasty food.. and add some must try dishes...

Cozy ambience, delicious food and interesting cocktails.
Nothing to complain really.
The menu overall is a good mix of different cuisines.
Along with thecha chicken kabab (which were delicious) we had sev bhaji as well and it was really good.
Definitely a recommendation to foodies.

Good place to visit in Kothrud, service is way to slow but food taste can compensate it.

Must try:
1. Butter Chicken Tacos.
2. Keema sev-puri.
3. Whiskey sangria.

Ambience and crowd is fun so if you’re planning to go to this place with your buddy gang then it’s a good place to hang out.

Tipsy duckling was a great place. The beverages were simply amazing. The food was good too. The ambience feels slightly cramped, but all in all, its a great place for an outing with friends.

Their Butter chicken loader pizza and Hummus and pita bread are mouth watering. Also enjoy their cocktails with additional Zomato gold bonus!!

The tipsy duckling- the classic bar. In an era of innovation and quirkiness and thinking out of the box, sometimes you can be really unorthodox by just being orthodox. While everybody is trying something new and different, The Tipsy Duckling has made a name for itself by just being normal, keeping things simple, serving good food and amazing drinks. The Tipsy Duckling is located in kothrud. Easy to locate. Two wheeler parking available. It is a medium sized outlet with indoor and outdoor seating. We visted this place on a weekday evening. The place was almost empty except for a few tables. It was still full indoors owing to limited space. The outdoor ambience is average. On the other hand, the indoor ambience is really great. Really amazing. We moved indoors eventually. The Tipsy Duckling serves a wide range of italian and continental dishes along with all the booze. We ordered the bbq chiken pizza along with the missisipi mud cake. The bbq chiken was pizza was great and tasty as hell. The chiken was spot on. Loved it. The real winner was the mud cake- The Missipi Mud cake. A real sinful delight. Heaven for chocolate lovers. It was chocolatey, tasty, gooey. Just amazing. A dessert you would remember for a long time. The staff is really polite. The service is fast. Resonable prices. Good quantity and quality. A great place to hang out with friends.

The Tipsy Duckling is quite a cool place. I especially liked the bar room. Cosy, with two large half round sofas facing the bar. Comfy and relaxing.

There is lot more seating outside and it's quite apparent the business does not expect much walk-ins in the day although their "hoppy hours" are quite inviting! Especially when the brew is not the bottled variety but from the taps!

My son (he's more a friend than just the good son) and I order ½ a litre of Apple Cider Kimaya each along with a platter of Bacon Cheesy Fries. The brew is quite chilling and delicious... crisp and quenching on a sultry Saturday afternoon formed by grey rain clouds that simply refuse to unburden themselves over the parched city. The fries are quite a plateful, crisp and freshly fried, with a decent splatter of chopped bacon strips and creamy cheese. (For the price, I wish they'd be a little more generous).

The Tipsy Style Chicken Satay is juicy, tender, spicy, hot and my poor son who is recuperating from a dental braces treatment is one awfully relieved lad.

The 330ml of Coffee Mead each that we ordered next is, once again, a refresher - chilled and crisp. The flavour of coffee is subtle. In fact I quite recently had a sip of the brew while vacationing in Goa and did not quite relish the taste. Initially.

Today however is a different story.

Last but not least, we have ordered a Pink Sauce Pasta with Chicken and Prawns.

Loved the steaming hot combination though a little disappointed with the limited number of Prawns.

Parking is along the kerb. Service is satisfactory. Non availability of fish was disappointing. The music is soft, belting out the latest tracks. The ambience is good. Plenty of smoking area.

On the whole, a cool place to hang out.
Pune Food Hunt
From the people who gave us one of Pune’s first smokehouse – The Ugly Duckling in Baner. The Tipsy Duckling is here with an in-house brewery and much to the rejoice of Kothrudkars. The Tipsy Duckling is one of the fewer places in their vicinity that have an in-house brewery and serves a diverse menu, not limited to Indian or Continental.

The outdoor ambience looks beautiful in the evening, with fairy lights and yellow shades create a relaxed positive vibe. The indoor seating is air conditioned and spacious – idea for a group or families too.

Coming to the food, as mentioned earlier it is not limited to plain Indian or Continental, it is diverse with inclusions like Kerala stew or Bunny Chow. Though non-vegetarians will have a gala time ordering off the menu, there is a less diversity for vegetarians.

1. Tomato Arancini Balls (237/-)

Arancinini are stuffed rice balls coated with bread. Originated in Italy, TKD added a desi touch to it by adding the really tempting red chutney to an otherwise plain arancini.

2. Multani Stuffed Mushroom (294/-)

The mushrooms were charcoal grilled to a crisp but remained super soft and moist inside. The marination tickled the taste buds with a sweet and tangy taste. The presentation too, looked good. Recommended.

3. Thai Cottage Cheese (223/-)

Paneer strips fried to crisp perfection in tempura batter and tossed in a mildly spiced thai curry. The paneer needs to be consumed immediately in order to enjoy crispiness before it gets soggy. The thai curry is slightly on the sweeter side getting a different taste to the overall dish. It would have tasted even better if the paneer strips were first marinated in the batter instead of directly being batter fried. As the fried batter losses its layer, the paneer inside tasted plain bland.

4. Pesto Paneer & Salsa Tartine (237/-)

A beautiful open sandwich served with a sides of salad and fries. The sandwich has a lot of elements on it – Paneer cubes tossed in pesto, a tangy salsa & heaps of melted mozzarella.

Some may argue that taste gets mixed up and that it might taste better if the elements are kept singular or reduced quantity wise but for me that was the beauty of this sandwich that all elements worked out wonderfully and complemented each other taste-wise. Highly Recommended.

5. Chicago Gorden Pizza (324/-)

One of the Chef’s creation, the pizza is a thin crust, wood fired version with toppings that include, zucchini, peppers, mushroom and onion. I believe it can be improved if played around with the toppings a bit as all the vegetables mentioned do not have their own different taste or flavour of them.

6. Brownie Mousse Cake (241/-)

The highlight of this dessert was the decadent chocolate cake base that bought out the flavour of coconut in the mousse so well, chopped almonds and saffron starnds make it a pretty appealing dessert.

The menu also includes Maharashtrian as well as continental all day breakfast and Indian mains. Overall, TKD is a wonderful addition in the booming Kothrud area.

I would give this place 3 star as the place as such is really congested. Tables are placed nearby allowing you very less privacy. However food and service is good. Had ambience and table seating been equally good i would have given 4 stars :)

The place is cozy and sweet. Can go with family and friends as well . A no no thing is they don't restrict smoking which is a bit awkward when we bring kids.
Rest is fine .
Ambiance 5 / 5
Food 4/5
Value for money 3 / 5 costly dishes
Innovation 5/5
But by seeing the crowd there I don't think it is heavy on anybodies pocket
Over all experience 4/5

This place has a good ambience with few amazing brews. Although they need to improve the food and varieties of brews. Customer service could be better, needs improvement. Also few drinks are quite expensive as compared to other places in the same area.
Ambience: 3/5
Service: 2/5
Food: 2/5
Prices: 2/5

Good and cosy place.. Most of the times drinks that you asked are not available 😂... But good to visit especially once you have zomoto gold 😎... Craft beers are good.. Food is also good

Cosy place on the rainy Sunday afternoon with bonus of live World Cup match Screening. Setting was perfect and so was the food. Chicken thecha kebab with maharashtrian spicy taste and perfectly marinated chicken was a delight. Nachos were topped with salsa and beans to give it’s good crispy taste. For the main course white sauce pasta came with garlic bread. It could have been more saucy and bread could have been more crispy. Service was on time. Had a first experience with Zomato gold 1+1 drinks offer and captain supported very well. Great time at lunch.

Decent Place.. Food was good .. Visitable more than once.

2 stars decreased as there is no segregation between the smoking zone and non smoking zone (not sure if the latter even exists).
Hence, unfortunately, can’t dine here if you are with your family.

Too bad if they have never given this even a thought.
Ashwin Lawate
A fantastic place. Don't expect this to be a traditional restaurant. Just visit and enjoy the food, ambience, and service....kudos to all the staff the captain.
Mihir Pethe
This place is really a must visit for all the Beer Fans in the City!! They have a really good variety of Crafted Beers! The food seemed a bit overpriced but tasty! Also the indoor bar table is nice if one is planning to visit alone!

I went this place on Sunday night. Outdoor seating is good. Most of the whiskey were not available. We ordered Signature first, later when we asked to repeat the order the manager informed us that it's not available & you can order other drink. Our of 7 drinks, 5 was not available which is not at all expected. Food was good though. Like the ambience. 2 start because of unavailability of drinks.
Aarthi Dhaware
A good place though. I ordered their best coconut chicken dish. It wasn't good. I couldn't even complete. But they have grt drinks.the variety of drinks was good.

What to say about this place. You will not expect the quality of service and items available there. My first trip to that joint was because it's nearby to my location. But first trip actually made me realized the potential of this place. If I want to rate this place I will go accordingly
Food - 4.5/5
Ambience - 4.5/5
Service - 5/5
Pocket friendly - 5/5

Ask for Amol over there he will provide you options for alcohol and food in great way. Everytime I go there i asked for him only. Kamikaze shots, fries with Peri Peri sauce and chicken crispy fingers are must try. Options like buy 6 shots and get 6 free will really made you happy. But don't fool by the size, that place is really packed on Saturday and Sunday.

Try the place and you will see yourself there again.
Hungry Cavil
Had an amazing time at Tipsy again . Food is great. I rate 4 on 5 for that.... but I rate 5 on 5 for the choice of songs that are played in the background. Please share your playlist .. lol

Daru Gola and Stunner mocktail.

Daru gola personally i don't like but stunner mocktail (recommended) was just awesome, taste also good 😋 and one more thing i like that glass design and shape (something unique)..😅

The place good for outdoor dining
Outdoor ambience is good with live sports
Kuch hatke and quality food
Friendly staff
Late and improper service (shortage of trays)
Value for money
Must visit if you don't have problem with food or alcohol serving
Amba Hegde Bhat
Tried out this restaurant, sister of The Ugly duckling (now closed) 😁
Malabar chicken shots were decent, chicken kheema pani puri with pandhra rassa sounded and looked good but did not taste that good, butter chicken crunchy tacos were decent too, liked the chicken khao suey and loved the creamy chicken bunny chow and of course the mud cake was awesome. Berry blast and strawberry surprise were the drinks of the night
For pics check out

https://www.instagram.com/ambahegdebhat?r=nametag
Me and my friend visited this place for some craft beer. Food quantity is too less and it took literally ages for them to bring our repeat order of craft beer. Will only commend if you have KitKat of patience.

Food is amazing here and the service is also very nice. Try nachos , peri peri fries , pasta and sangria, shots if you ask me drinks . You can go with non veg but avoid bacon , they over cook it and make it hard

Nice place with nice ambience . . . Special for chicken vegans dnt go there . . . . . . There is limited menu for vegans . . .service is not so good and also prices r little hight as per quality mainly mocktails
Sahil Gadkari
Very very slow service, that too for just one drink and a food order. They try to cover it up by nonsensical reasons like system error. Totally unacceptable!

A very nice place located in KarveNagar. Their outside ambience is good but we had gone for lunch so it was too hot to sit out. They have good service. We had,

1) Chicken Parmesan Fingers : Yummy and cheesy tenders of chicken served with an awesome dip. 5/5

2) Hot Basil Chicken with Burnt Garlic Rice : This was yummy as well. The chicken was well cooked. And they replaced the noodles with rice on our request. 5/5

Do visit this place for a nice meal with your friends and family. The food is worth it.

Awesome ambience, good service, tasty beer
Apple cider and belgian wheat should be tried.
Chicken butter masala is good for main course and wings in starter.
Omkar Panditrao
Good part: Good staff, location is good.
Drinks : We ordered Belgium wheat beer. It was okay.

Worst part: Food quality. We ordered cheese chicken balls and some new Chicken dish which they have started to serve which is not on menu. Dish name is Chicken Perry. Please do not try both these dishes.. Thank you.

Located on Karve road, the place has a very good ambience.

We had-
Chicken Parmesan Fingers:
Fried chicken fingers stuffed with Parmesan cheese. Very tasty.

Hot basil chicken with burnt garlic rice:
The chicken was well cooked and the gravy went quite well with the rice.

Saturday night done right! Amazing food and service.. had been here a couple times with friends! They have something new for you every time... this time we tried their daaru golas... awesome kaala khatta and rose flavours with rum and gin... for dinner we had thecha kebab, paalak pakoda chaat and chicken chettinad.. needless to say, all brilliant dishes.. keep it up guys!
Kashmira Bagade
A good place in the vicinity. Nice ambience. We tried the combo flavoured alcoholic shots which we're worth it. Also the achari kabab and khow suey were oh so satisfying.

The food was ok and few drinks were good but few were not.
Inshort the experience was okayish.
I think that the taste of the food should improve.

Great place. Came here for dinner with some friends. Great food... Keema pani puri is a must try. Very creative food and drink options.. Will visit again for sure

Ordered an Alfredo pasta today from this restaurant and to our horror it turned out that they had added chicken to it. There were other items to in this order but seeing the chicken in pasta no one touched any of the food items and as a result of which we had to unfortunately discard it. Such experience are totally uncalled for as there are specific instructions provided to the restaurant to use only vegetarian ingredients and still they do such a disaster. Zomato Customer support was kind enough to address this issue and send me a refund of the payment made but still it was unexpected from a restaurant which has a rating of above 4.
Akshay Rodge
Awesome service and great food! Variety in food menu.
Sorry Vinod you were great, great suggestion and service you gave. Sorry for taking much of your time. And I was not drunk I fell because my leg stuck in carpet. Sorry for the trouble. Must visit Restaurant ♥️

Slow service, we had to ask twice for the same thing. Sometimes they served quickly. We tried the chicken kheema panipuri with pandhara rassa, and cheese poppers. These were nice.. The tacos weren't up to the mark. Ambience is nice.. The craft beers are standard n decent enough. We also had the passionfruit cheese cake this was delicious too, not very sweet the right amount of glaze and flavour.. the darugola is an interesting concept but they need to do something to perfect it cause the syrups aren't sticking much to the ice like they do on the traditional gola..
Sricha Bagchi
This isn't a food review. I've been wanting to come to this place for quite sometime and the day I decided to come here for lunch with two of my friends, we didn't get a place to sit since we had not pre-booked. This place basically has only two big tables in the inside. And one can not expect us to sit outside with no shade in the month of May. I was disappointed and we had to go some place else for lunch. If you're planning to come here for lunch make sure you have either pre-booked one of the two tables inside. Can't review the food because we didn't have any.

Tipsy Duckling is one great place with actually good food.
Although I didn't get to try the drinks, I liked the food a lot. We ordered-
Bira White ×1
Virgin Mojito ×1 (3.5/5)
Penne Alfredo ×1 (4/5)
BBQ chicken pizza ×1 (3/5)
Blueberry cheesecake ×1 (5/5)
The food was really good in taste amounting to Rs. 1400 for two people which is great for the food and vibrance of the place. All in all it was a great experience. (3.5/5)
Cons- The waiters are polite but reply very late if asked for service. This should be looked upon.

Recently been to this fun place & tried their new additions , tried kaala Khata gola.....reminded me of my childhood days 👧🏻.....Beer lovers can try the alcohol version 🤪.....Bangda Tandoori was very tasty .....appreciate the quality of the fish & preparation of tandoor masala (Special Thanks to the fish supplier & chef )

Suggestion - Quantity of Bangda can be looked at increasing to 2/plate.

Gola & Bangda - Simplicity recreated 👏🏻🤗
————————————————————
Very nice place to spend time friends .....Apple Cider & Mango Cider Beer ( Seasonal) are must try as they specialise in craft beers .....Coffee lovers can try the coffee beer .....Mushroom Thecha & Chicken Thecha both lives up to the traditional maharashtrian spice taste buds 😋....bombil fry was over coated with rava .....cud have been better if crisp tava fried instead of deep fry......service was very good.....Thanks!

Had their BBQ chicken wings which was too sweet, the spaghetti was kinda bland but the quantity given was enough for 2. The ambiance is nice. They had good offers on drinks.

Fun, interesting and a very creative menu!! Wasn't able to decide what to order, since everything seemed yum! So, ordered Fugitive from the drinks and potato cheese croquettes and Mississippi Mud cake from the food menu - absolutely lobed both!!! Would definitely recommend!!

Not worth a second visit for me. I am a fan of brewed beer and this is not a place to enjoy that.
They take so long to even serve beer, and on Sunday afternoon, our food was taking ages to reach us.
If you are a fan of craft beer, don't even try looking at this place. It is not worth it at all. I have no idea how it has got such high ratings, but I am sure zomato isn't very honest about their overall reviews.
It is comparatively not that expensive, so that's at least one positive. But I guess you get what you pay for.
Overall, waste of time for me.
Abhishek Singh
Good place and good vibe. Tried their signature beer and it turned out great. Snacks were also good at reasonable price. Beer does cost a little more than usual ones but it was worth it.

One of the go to places in kothrud. A big time thanks for coming up with such a place in kothrud. Food is awesome but variety is worry for people seeking options. Food menu is jara sa hatke!! Also importantto mention in a positive way, the staff is less experienced and need to work on it(1 star lost on it). Overall cheers to this place.
AVINASH SAWANT
It's one of the best restaurants in the area. It has innovative dishes and ample choices for both veg and nonveg lovers. All the dishes we tried were yummy. Presentation is nice and so is the ambience. Only problem I felt was that it doesn't have large seating area, so if you are seating outside, you will have to suffer passive smoking
Madhura Nadkarni
Finally some good craft beer in Kothrud! Loved the craft beer spread they offer but the cocktails need some work. The food is delicious! Some real quirky dishes and some tasty classics. Must try is their Veg Caldin, Chettinad Chicken sliders & Khoy Suey. Friendly staff, good service and a pleasant ambience sure makes for a lovely evening here over some chilled beer!!

Finally a place near to Karve Nagar! I like the funky vibe they have here.
The service is a bit slow although. Drinks are good while the food portions could be better.
Renuka Sathaye
Snail slow service for extremely small portions and not that great food
Let me start with Keema pani puri. A different version of the regular gol gappa, it was good. The mutton keema was good, well cooked and rightly spiced. The pandhara rassa was too good. The dish also had boiled aloo and green peas, which were tangy and went well with the dish.
Smoked BBQ Chicken Wings: These were sweet, though well cooked
Multani Stuffed mushrooms: good at taste, would have been better though
Butter Garlic Prawns: The prawns were well cooked, but the garlic was missing
Classic Caesar Salad: It was good, but with less toppings, less lettuce as well. The portion was too less, I used to seeing a salad that fills up the entire plate, this was a small portion neatly placed in the center of the plate
Khow Suey: Luckily this was good, not too coconutty, just apt...one can try this when here
Chicken Ghee Roast: Perfectly cooked chicken, which is rightly spiced and yum. Sadly, this was served with lacha parantha which was way too dry. Guys, atleast add butter to it next time.
Mutton Keema Pav: Basic went wrong, served with fresh pav, though the dish was well cooked, it lacked the spice and taste. It seemed more of frozen keema just cooked right and served
Mississippi Mud Cake: Good, but at one point i felt i was eating a mix of brownie and dark chocolate. Some more of chocolate sauce would have been good

Sadly for us, our drinks were not made right, except the lemon ice tea. The alcohol was not mixed properly in the long island iced tea and Adios...it was not tasting right was way too strong...guess the bartender needs to do something about this!
GAYATRI NERURKAR
It's one of the outlets in Pune which brews different kinds of beer. The ambience of this restaurant is perfect for outing with friends. Me and my friends ordered Watermelon Daiquiri, Cranberry Breezer and Whisky for drinks and ordered Malai Chicken Kebab, Cheesy Garlic Bread, Peri Peri Fries, Alfredo Penne Pasta and Smoked Chicken Wings for food. The chicken dishes, pasta and the garlic bread were delicious. For desserts we called for Brownie Mousse Cake and Blueberry Cheesecake. Unfortunately I didn't like them so much. The cheesecake was still OK but the flavors in the mousse cake just didn't work together. Apart from that we all had a great time thanks to their good service.

Craft Beers:
standard craft beers such as hefewizen (german wheat beer), belgian wit bier, saison(4 grain malt).

Other niche beers such as vanilla porter, cream stout, badil peppercorn witbier, kolsch coffee mead and apple cider.
I tried beer taster to get a feel what i like and ended up ordering belgian witbier by yavasura brewery
hefewizen apple cider and saison. These are the most common ones i recommend.

Food : I had only starters here and all 3 times ended up ordering
chicken ghee roast nachos : ghee roasted chicken nachos with tortillas sour cream and kidney beans.

Amit Kalekar
Many a times I visited this restuarant...Overall food quality is good. Recently they have reduced the quantity of food.
Service is bit late.

This my second review....I am reducing rating as well

Last Friday, we ordered some mocktails and kala khatta...the alchohole quantity was so less..not sure why they are calling it as cocktail..

So as per last 2 instance of visit...they have reduced quantity..
Girish Gogate
Went there yesterday to taste much hyped दारू गोला and it didn't disappoint ....it was really awesome, something new, something out of the box
I definitely recommend trying it

As far as the food goes it was OK (there are better places arnd)... Nothing special
Had tandoori aloo- it was good and some panner dish with Continental touch..(which was undercooked)
And pasta - which was ok

Although I didn't went for it but cocktail and mocktail options looked interesting and unique

All in all , restaurant had good vibrant ,cosy atmosphere.

Kinda centrally located with no parking issues.

So so good! The smoked chicken pizza felt heavenly! The other dishes were remarkable as well. Worth! The ambience is great and so is the service! Italian cuisine is a delight !

My star says it all. Absolutely loved this place. They have very nice collection of beer and the variety of food they offer is amazing. The quatity of started is just enough for 2, could have been more. But the taste is superb.
Ambience is nice and cozy. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who is looking out to chill with friends and family.

The place has got a good vibe and has courteous staff. The draft beer offering is good. The ambience is inviting and is a good joint in the kothrud area.

Much needed place Kothrud with a wide selection of Craft Beers. Tried Denis' Kolsch, Yavasura's Cream stout, Basil & peppercorn and Witbier. All of them were quite different and amazing. Tried the Chettinad Chicken Sliders for starters which was delicious.
Burmese Khowsuey was decent but I've had better. Overall five stars for the location and the variety of craft beers.
Vinay Babani
Good food
Good ambience
Good service

Management can consider reducing some tables and some space in the restaurant. When it’s full, it’s too crowded to sit calmly and talk because you can hear Sabkae Talkaan!

Overall: 2.5/5
Audy Audumbar
We went there to try some continental dishes, looking at the restaurant name. But, most of the dishes are indian.

The restaurant ambiance will get 3.9/5. But, when we ordered the tasted the food, it superseded the ambiance.

We tried:
1. Chicken parmesan fingers with mustered sauce. It was awesome! Right quantity and perfect taste for fingers and sauce. I'll give 5/5 for this.

2. Pesto chicken Kabab. Pesto sauce was not traditional italian pesto sauce, but, was very creamy and tasted awesome, with perfectly cooked kabab. I'll give 5/5 for this.

3. Veg Alfredo pasta was also perfectly creamy and awesomely tasted. 5/5 for this too..

Costwise it is okay. Overall 5/5, i wont care about anything else, if the taste is so good!!!..
Amruta Phadke Tikekar
I visited this place last Sunday, with my husband. . As there was no good table for the 2 of us outside, we grabbed a corner and cosy place inside and enjoyed the IPL match too !

I ordered a cranberry LIIT, it wasn't that great, compared to other places I had it already. . I guess as it was a Zomato gold, buy 2 get 2 drinks effect or what I don't know !

Coming to food we had ordered Peri Peri Fries (2 servings) 😜😜 and they were good, especially the accompaniment- cheese sauce was too too good !!

Malabar chicken poppers were very tasty and crispy !

I tried a new mini burger, called Paneer sliders as suggested by my better half, and yes they were good too. . The burger buns were fresh and soft and so the Paneer 😊

Overall a good experience, but will be visiting again, as I have to try a lot of items there. . Will come with my gang so that it's much easier to hog on a lot of varieties !! 😜😜😋😋

Thank you team Tipsy Duckling for warm hospitality 😊😊

The Tipsy Duckling Bar & Kitchen is right on the Karve Road and we chanced upon it on our recent trip to Pune. The place is relatively small in size viz a viz its seating capacity both indoors as well as outdoors. All in all a pretty decent outing we had at the Tipsy Duckling

Went there for my birthday lunch. Lovely ambience.
Vibes are soo vibrant! Ordered one strawberry milkshakes and one lemongrass drink. They were Soo refreshing and cooling.
In food, we ordered bunny chow which was Soo horrible.
The filling was too bland and the bread is Soo rough that we have not eaten at all.
Secondly,we had panner chilly garlic noodles, which were Soo awesome in taste and fulfilling.
4 stars for their shakes and mocktails.

Went here on a Monday night. Happy to see that it had a few tables packed. Good location as there is no other the area which give you decent ambience, good food and booze and Zomato Enabled.
Service is very slow. Staff is not trained. They got us a stirrer at end of the drinks which we had asked before we started🤣
Coming to the food the menu had limited options but worth trying a few.
We had ordered the thecha kebab, cheese garlic bread, mushroom canapes and the khou Suey.
Canapes and the kebab were delicious.
Khou Suey had too much of coconut and dint find it a authentic Burmese style!

The only part they should work on is the service rest other bits are good.

Food- 4.5/5
Ambience- 3/5
Service- 2/5

Good place to hangout once in while.. Ambience is not that good.. Food is good but quantity is very less as compared to cost.. Also the service was very slow..

I was really tired traveling from hinjewadi side that day and I had a plan to meet a new friend of mine in Pune so she had decided the place , so I reached the place finally by Uber as I'm not from Pune so don't know the areas well...ab jagah kee baat karta Hu 😎 as soon I entered the place it looked good as I like open air places and resto bars so that caught my attention and was happy that I'm at a good place , as it was really hot so we sat inside in the AC enclosure. So we ordered :

Cheese fries 3/5 ( became saugy after some time so it lost its taste )
Corn bhel - 4/5
Virgin mohito 4/5
Fresh lime soda 3.5/5
Veg caldin with coconut rice 3.5/5

Place - 5/5

Service - 4/5

I would like to thank the lady who works there who sits inside the AC section, as I forgot to ask her name as she was very helpful to me for directing me to the nearest bus boarding point.. appreciated

** Recommended place **

Nice place for a crafted beer with other options and they have very good starter option, went last week enjoyed a great evening with family.

I honestly didn’t expect such a beautiful place where you get variety of drinks to be in Kothrud. On regular Saturday night we decided to check this place out and we were not at all disappointed. One of my friends was not well and wanted to have hot tody, but we couldn’t find it anywhere, and we found it at Tipsy Duckling, and it was an elixir, the taste was perfectly sweet, so kudos to the bar tender. The next best thing about this place are the variety of beer. And they have my favourite Kimaya Apple Cider, but do also try their basil peppercorn beer. Talking about the food, we ordered chana chor garam as chakna, and pizza and papdi chat salad and achari chicken, and all of the dishes were extremely tasty... we wished we had more space in our bellies so that we could eat more. Lastly talking about service and ambiance, the staff here is extremely courteous and ambience is okay. Sorry got no pictures to post because it was one hell of a night where we all friends were sitting and talking with each other over amazing food and drinks. Had a great time.

This place is easy to find and parking was not a problem too.
The interiors look a bit cramped up. The ambiance could be much better.

I must say food tastes Superb and from the impression we got of the place, we were not expecting much. But we were wrong. Everything that we ordered tasted lovely.

Staff was courteous but did not have much knowledge of the menu to suggest whats good or signature item of the place.
We ordered:
1. Chicken kheema shev puri - It was great
2. Potato and Cheese Croquettes - Twas good
3. Pasta Alfredo - Very nice
4. Butter Garlic Prawns
For Main course we ordered:
1. Murgh Mussalam Gravy along with Garlic Nan and Roti
2. Paneer Basil Chilly with Burnt Garlic Rice - This was out of the world. The Paneer was so soft that it melts in your mouth.

One thing to improve - Table size - Its kind of small when sharing table with person in front of you. Also, it has gaps in between as its striped. With this there is a genuine issue of spoons or forks falling off the table. That needs to be fixed.

Apart from that, we had a great experience. Will surely recommend to my friends and family around that area

No pics to share as we were busy eating, we forgot to click.

Always a go to place for us, being close to our house. Love the setup, gives it more of casually family look. Hang out here with friends and family and u wont regret. Music is cool, so are drinks and food is yum. Another best thing about this place is, it is Pet Friendly, so u can bring your cute pets with u here.
Akshay Sarnaik
A great place to hangout and have good food. A nice place in Kothrud area. We chicken chettinad sliders with beer and later ordered Achari kebab. The beer was Hefeweizen Apple Cider which was suggested by the captain. It was a perfect combo. The service is good and fast

Must visit place. Looking for a nice place to use my Zomato Gold 2+2 drinks. Selected this place becoz of nice interiors and they had nice beers with interesting food items. Very nice environment and owners are very friendly. First we tried their Beer tester, they really have nice variety of beers. Tried their few interesting starters. Chicago Garden Pizza was nice, tried one item with coconut curry nice Thai curry, very nice, ended our meal with Mudcake.

Overall very nice and refreshing drink and food experience. Thank you Team Tipsy Duckling.
This was my second visit.... on my first visit i had liked their different style of paani puri.
It was all disappointing though.
Had mutton white rassa pani puri.... was still great.
We had ordered mocktails..virgin mojito, berry blast... both were hossible.
Virgin mojito had lemeon which was completely dark and looked very old.
Food was okay.
Had butter garlic prawns- plated costed us 398/- and it hardly had 5-6 prawns
Rates are very high though compared to the area.

I always heard about this place finally made try last week for dinner. This place having nice ambience, good crowd and friendly staff. Food is just awesome. Must try there CHICKEN KHIMA PANIPURI. I never had panipuri with chicken khima but trust me it is the best panipuri till the date. But I forgot to take photo of it. Other dishes are also good😋😋😘😘

We felt menu was very limited. Had ordered two items which had same filling in it. Waiter should have warned us about it beforehand but he told us about when we ourselevs noticed it.
Ambience is nice as we can sit outside and enjoy free air.

Very avg place. 25 percent of the menu was unavailable when we visited. Firstly we ordered 2 drinks and congress peanuts. They took 20mins for that and then the waiter directly served salted peanut saying congress peanuts is not available. Then i ordered smoked chicken which again they took infinite time to serve and by that time i finished my drink so i just left. Wasting a hr n half without being even a slight tipsy . And please note they hate zomato gold customers.

Ohh what a place. Just amazing. Loved the ambience. Decorated so well.
Food was delicious. Menu choices were thought fully designed. Service was great too.
Milind
Absolutely pathetic service, took 15/20 mins to bring the drinks, starters came before the drinks. Had to remind them twice even for a bottle of water The masala peanuts served were moist and soft. The owner was around but did not bother to take any interest.

The Tipsy Duckling.. A great place to try new innovative foods. Their ghee roast chicken nachos are outstanding!! The thecha chicken was fantastic and yummy!!! It had a brilliant hint of spice from the thecha which hits your palate at the end. The fish and chips were brilliant. My husband wanted to try this dish for a long time. The fish was soft and the chips were crispy. The tartar sauce was just lip smacking delicious!!

We will definitely be frequenting this place!!

Beer testers - apple cider tasted good they have 8 kinds.
3. Chocolate shake alright
4. Butterscotch milkshake...not worth.

Overall food tasted great... drinks i don't know if i picked the right one's.
Do visit but for the light bite.
Not many options for vegetarians.
Manasi Peshave
Staff was really friendly and suggesting menu as per our liking.
Ambience is alright, since it's open and just on the roadside.
We ordered apple cider beer and ghee roast chicken nachos. Chicken was amazing and succulent.
Next we ordered anglio olio pasta. Not the best, oily and very less of garlic n basil. Only big chunks of garlic, sundried tomato and olives.
Overall good, not extra ordinary

Unique treat to all panipuri lovers... The pandhra rassa makes it more tasty.... #Recommended

2) Chicken Ghee Roast Nachos
Mangalorean style ghee roast loaded on crunchy nachos... A perfect spicy gravy on nachos... Liked this combination...

3) Butter Chicken Tacos
Butter chicken stuffed tacos is delicious treat of mexican punjabi combo... #recommended

4) Pomegranate Mocktail
Refreshing pomegranate juice with added mint...
Divya Gujar Grey
I ordered Chicken Chettinad from here. The only reason I gave 2 stars is for the thick texture & I guess...the looks of the gravy. Otherwise, I didn't find any other of its aspects appealing. I expected something a bit more spicy but this gravy was laden with coconut milk & was very sweet. Even the quantity was very less for a cost of Rs. 350. Immense regrets!

Nice outdoor sitting for chilling. Indoor bar section is comparatively smaller. They do serve craft beers. It is one of the rare bars in kothrud which serve crafted beers. Happy hour made 1+1 on crafted beer pitcher. Food is nice . Ordered chicken parmesan fingers, cheese chilly toast . The toast was awesome . Must try. The fingers were a bit dry but the dip given with it was tasty . Recommend for a lazy afternoon beer scene.

Started new year 2019 with this restaurant. To be honest my first time here and i didn get disappointed. Ambience was okay in the evening, but it became perfect as soon as it became dark and they turned on the lights. ❤️
Coming to food: we ordered thai cottage cheese, corn bhel, chicken kheema & pandhara, ginger tea, 3 cheese storm pizza, peanut kheema shevpuri in starters.
All were good except the pizza, which was below average.
For manin course we ordered: butter chicken, dal makhani, butter naan, wheat roti, butter garlic naan and all were good.
For desert we ordered missisipi mud cake and it was yumm.
Will definitely visit again.
Rupsha Ghosh
Tipsy Duckling was one of the memorable experiences
Special thanks to Jessica for making the evening memorable one
We loved Achari chicken Tikka , Aglio Olio, chicken penne Alfredo, chicken cacciatore with garlic mashed potatoes steak and chocolate mud cake
Must try and worth it

I was excited to see the menu of this place on zomato.. they’d listed their beers on tap in a knowledgeable fashion and I was happy that it was close by to where I live. It felt like they knew what they were talking about when I read their menu. We went there a party of 4 and 1 child on a Friday evening so obviously it was crowded but they did give us a table right away since we went there around 8ish. We ordered a few pints of their beer on tap.. it tasted good but was really flat. No fizz.. that was a major let down. The starters we ordered were decent.. nothing to complain. I hope they up their beer game; their menu is so inviting but delivery is disappointing.
Vivek Totala
Any of draught/brewed beers mentioned on menu were not available. A big disappointment!
Zomato has tagged this place as pet friendly but they don't allowed pets inside and caused lot of trouble in last moment.
Akshai Sthalekar
Thisbplace is right next to my office so I have been here in the afternoons when we were the only ones in there. Evening are crowded and lively.

Pros:
Good food.
Great taste.

Cons:
Seating area in the non smoking area could have been more. I am allergic to smoke and in the eve it becomes difficult to get a space inside or if you have a large group you cannot sit inside.
Anurag Sharma
A place where you can sit and hangout with your friends and have a really good conversation the food is really tasty and cheap compared to other places.Peri peri fries are life with chatpatta chana.
Rohit Nair
Brilliant place, innovative cocktails and bar snacks... thanks to zomato gold got a very cheap deal. The deadpool cocktail was the cocktail of the night.
Will surely visit again!
Paresh Rajput
Nice place in kothrud.. Food is amazing.. We had paneer tikka masala in starter... It was very well cooked and the paneer was very fresh... Thanks to Zomato gold.. We had a lovely evening.. Ambiance is good.. They have place to sit inside as well as outside... For sure will be coming next time to taste non veg as well..It is not a very loud place and it's ideal for family also...Pocket friendly place..
Neha Chandorkar
Terrible experience. Went there for a Sunday lunch and got sick even before I could finish it. Husband also suffered from horrible food poisoning once we were back. The wine they served was too bad. Clearly the ingredients used to prepare the dishes were extremely stale. Will never ever recommend this place to anybody! Unfortunately a zero star rating is not possible or else that would've been my definite choice
Kaushik
Food and drinks are up to the mark, however, the non smoking are inside the restaurant is always full, and the smoking is full of smoke. We were unable to sit and enjoy the food last night. Why dont you just restrict the smoking part and ask guests to smoke outside the restaurant. I am pretty sure people coming in with kids would appreciate it even more.
Manish Sane
Located in Kothrud's backyard a cosy, nice restaurant.
Outdoor sitting is really lively and indoor has got bar setting.
Courteous staff and nice variety of food & drinks.
Enjoyed the evening.

Good place to visit with your friends and family. Food was amazing. Ordered Chicken Poppers which was yummy. Techa Kabab had the Maharashtrian taste. Cheese Garlic bread was also good. Service was prompt. Would highly recommend. 👍
Sagokharche
Refused 2+2 drinks gold membership offer by giving reason about you only have 2 persons on table that why they just offered us 1+1 offer and after talking to Zomato support they said you should get 2+2 even for 2 persons. If you ask gold membership offers they doesn’t treat you well and that’s not good.

Oh, this place is Kothrud has a great ambience and numerous varieties of items on their Menu! We tried 4 Mocktails and few Amazing starters which were genuinely tasty and also affordable. There was some bill issue and the manager was sweet enough to hear us out and oblige accordingly. Over and all, great place to hang out. 😃

Wonderful spot to hangout with your friends and family. Great food and polite staff to help you out with your orders. Kothrud is now lit with new hangout places!

I visited here today for dinner with couple of my friends. We had LIIT, and NYC duckling cocktail along with Chicken keema pani puri. This whole course was amazing experience. The cocktails were Good and nicely made. This was my first time to have Keema Pani puri. I must say it made a mark for forever.
In the next course we ordered ratatouile lasagna with pesto kebab in both in Veg. Pesto kebabs were sweetish served with mint mayo. Lasagna was little spicy . Unfortunately, either of the two didn't stand to the expectations set by Pani puri and cocktails. Even the portions are small. That made us order Chicken and Jalapeño pizza. Though the taste was good with thin crust, the toppings were spread sparingly and cheese very liberally. It would have been better if the crust was more crunchy. The expectations set by cocktail and pani puri were too high for main course apparently.
Ambiance and presentation is charming. A non smoking zone or a separate smoking zone would have been better giving more comfort to both categories. Also you have to be very conscious to place glasses on wooden tables because of gaps in design of the table.

This joint is the most happening joint I know, they have amazing drinks varieties, great food dishes and lively atmosphere! They have indoor and outdoor seating, the service is prompt and courteous and they do take suggestions/customisation to any dish that you've ordered without any hesitation!
I've visited this place many times now and I've tried almost everything here! The best pick is their Kheema panipuri, comes with pandhra rassa and green peas - potato fillings! It's the best dish they have! They serve yummy starters and pesto/tomato arancini balls are great! For 'thecha' or let's say spicy food lovers, they have Thecha kebabs, are extremely spicy and tasty! They serve pizza, pasta and fries as well.
I tried their Thai cuisine as well and Khao suey blew my mind! The flavours were just perfect and I honestly loved it.
They've introduced soups recently and we tried Mexican soup - which was on spicy side and popcorn soup especially made for the young crowd was mild in taste and topped with popcorns!
Drinks, especially their cocktails and craft beers are worth your try! They serve tap beer, plus they have quirky names for all their cocktails! Liquid marijuana is my personal favourite vodka based cocktail! The kamikaze shots are brilliant! Also the Irish Gaelic (whiskey based) cocktail is nice too!
Coming to desserts, their cheesecake is delicious! Frozen hot chocolate is again to die for and their Mississippi mud cake is my new favourite, it melts in your mouth, served hot and oozing with gooey chocolate!

The ambience is upbeat and lively, they have events going on weekends and if not good music is always there to seal your fun time!
Undoubtedly the best place in town for great food, drinks and service!
Khadad_Punekar
The ambience is classy, cozy, beautiful and happening.
The service is quick.

I loved the starters, cocktails and desserts.

One of the best place in Kothrud.
Sudeshna Dasgupta
This place is okay to visit for drinks and snacks but food is really not up to the mark both in terms of taste and presentation. Paneer Malai kabab was good but butter garlic prawns were rubbery and quantity was very less. For main course we had ordered hot basil chicken with burnt garlic noodles..neither was there any taste of basil nor burnt garlic! It was just a soupy, salty mess! The chicken khowsuey was equally bad..full of turmeric and everything pre mixed so one can't adjust any seasoning. What is important is the taste of food and then presentation...on both accounts it was a failure.
Wouldn't waste my time here again.

This restaurant is one of the new lit bars making their advent in the conservative areas of Kothrud. It is a reason to rejoice for people who live in the adjoining areas since they don't have to go to far off areas like KP or Baner for having a drink.

They have an outdoor seating. The indoor seating is very comfy but only limited tables are there. And like every quintessential bar, it has a couple of bar stools.

But not just drinks, their food scene is also very lit. Their menu has influences from Marathi, North Indian and Continental cuisines with a few fusion takes.
I'll start with their take on the basic pani puri which they have combined with kheema. It comes with a plate of puris in which you add fried green peas, kheema masala (minced meat cooked in spices) (mutton/chicken, your choice) and drizzle it with some hot pandhra rassa (lamb broth in coconut gravy). If you're a purist, I'm sure you won't like it, but trust me, it was a really great start to the meal. The kheema was really mind-blowing.

We ordered kebabs next.
Thecha chicken kebab, a Marathi speciality spice rub (mostly green chillies and garlic) paired with green pudina chutney was mind blowing.
Same with the Bong style chicken tikka. Like they describe it, it is truly "a mustard lover's delight".

We also ordered Chicken Ghee Roast Nachos, Butter Garlic Prawns and Rawa Fried Fish Fingers for starters. The salsa and the sauces, everything was housemade and delicious.

Next we ordered Pulled Pork Tacos and Cheesy Chicken Tacos.Their pork dishes are so good and juicy, what with delectable in house sauces with the meaty taste will linger on your taste buds till the end. Other pork dishes we ordered were the pepperoni (my all time favourite) and the smoked BBQ pulled pork burger.

We also ordered the Butter Chicken Loader Pizza which was a little on the downside, but the Smoked Cajun Chicken Burger was really good.

Lastly we ordered Cheesy Chicken Bunny Chow. Not many know this, but this is a South African fast food dish. They carve out a loaf of bread and fill it with the chicken. It was something new and not bad.

For drinks we chose one cocktails, Adios म द फ क which had 5 types of liquor in it (vodka, white rum, gin, tequila and blue curacao) and a peach and orange mocktail Stunner. Both were really refreshing.

After the mind blowing food session, we were pretty sure the desserts would be like a cherry on the cake, but we were fairly disappointed. The Mississippi Mud Cake did not stand up to its name. The Frozen hot chocolate was really frozen topped with cream and really did not go well. The dessert section is really something which they can work on.

I'd really like to appreciate the efforts they've taken to curate the menu. Right from the catchy names to the quirky descriptions with typical Marathi phrases and sayings, the menu is really beautiful.

All in all, go here for some affordable drinks and meals. You will have a good time.
Puja Partani
The menu is quite selected for vegetarians, but all food is delicious. They have a great range of cocktails and mocktails. The starters are interesting. The garlic cheese naan is yum!
Although the vegetarian variety is really good, the place seems a better choice for those who enjoy non-veg.
Ambience is hip and welcoming!
Monish Rathod
Service is not good.....not worth.....too much delay in providing food on time as well as unprofessional....need improvement at the cost they are charging with the service they are providing...
Pratyush Wanjari
The food quality was not upto the mark and the ambience was about “Okay”. Most of the dishes were not available with them. Disappointed with the overall experience.

Courteous Staff, Innovative dishes and pretty good quality. Loved almost every beer of all the three breweries that they offer, specially Ninkasi and Yavasura. Recommended :)

Went with very high hopes cuz many friends recommended the place. This happened on a weekday afternoon.

Ordered Chicken malai kabab and pink sauce pasta.

Malai kabab was without any malai, cooked without any malaiesque prep, and even worse the chicken was undercooked. The whole dish was extremely dry.

Pink sauce pasta was blande. Sauce was almost non-existant.

Overall experience - unsatisfied and unfulfilling.

I just hope this is not the usual case.

One of the best places in K town traffic, I can say perfectly made considering the area Kothrud !!
Food is really good and the staff is really really helpful !!
This is a place where u can chill and spend your eve with friends or have a good modern day lunch or dinner with family !! Menu is innovative and rightly picked.
Definitely worth a visit !

Im going today ! #परत

No complementary otherwise everything fine and good hygiene. Food quality was good and cleanliness was well maintained at the restaurant reason to give 4 star is they don’t provide anything to zomato gold users as complementary with drinks not even groundnuts.

The Tipsy Duckling is the sort of place where all your prayers of having a good dining experience comes true..
The food, the ambience, the music, the service.. everything Is just perfectly blended together.

We had the thecha chicken, Keema Pani Puri, stuffed mushrooms, Belgian beer, Khao Suey (Oh! The Khao Suey 😍) cheese cake, frozen hot chocolate, hot fudge brownie..
Everything was 5 star rating worth.

Then came the Liquid Marijuana.. now, I haven't had Marijuana in my life.. but this was trippy AF!!

A special mention to Jessica who attend us so well.

This is definitely my top 3 happy places in Pune.
Purva Zinjarde
Loved the place ! The food here is amazing ! We ordered paneer steak sliders, smoked BBQ chicken wings, Sicilian olives and sundried tomatoes pizza and chicken malai kebab... All the dishes were finger licking good ! Especially the pizza ! ❤️
The staff is also courteous and helpful..

Review No:175
Visited “The Tipsy Duckling” after friends recommendation for dinner.
We got place quickly as we reached decently early. This place has got decent 2-wheeler parking but if you are looking for space for 4-wheeler it is slight challenge since the outlet is on roadside.
Ambience, hygiene is decent with decently comfortable seating. There is no non-smoking zone, so if some smoker is seated next to you, you will enjoy passive smoking for free.
Menu wise we had virgin mojito mocktail, Adios cocktail, chicken poppers, peri-peri fries, stuffed mushroom & nachos in starter (we love to try different starters 😁). Chicken poppers & stuffed mushroom were tasty. Nachos with sour cream overall was a poor preparation.
In main course we had veg aglio olio, we got a dish with vegetables added which were oil tossed and totally raw. (Btw they added vegetable as add-on item of ₹40 to the bill). With my experience ever aglio olio added with any vegetables. Chicken cacciatore with garlic mash was okay and chef needs to rethink on plating for elegant serving IMHO.

Ambience : 3.5/5 (0.5 less for tables too close and having smoking people around)
VFM : 3.5/5
Taste : 3.5/5
Hygiene :4/5
Service :4/5

Overall : 3.5/5

(Will visit to try some more main course dishes.)

As the name suggests, this place can get you tipsy and have fun altogether! Great music being played with really great drinks and food with a good company is a sorted evening one cam ever dream of. The seating is great, the ambiance is perfect and the food unbelievable! Just loved it way too much!

I had the opportunity to taste a few dishes here-

1. Chicken kheema pani puri - a really brilliant take on the pani puri and twisting the odds. Instead of pani, they serve pandhra rassa and the fillings are chicken kheema, potato. Really really delicious! Highly recommended!

2. Thecha kebab(chicken) - the marination of the chicken is done in thecha itself! The taste at first is great and later its epic when the spiciness kicks in! It will definitely make you sweat but you will enjoy the taste too!

3. Mexican soup - this soup has really great mexican flavours to it. To curb the spiciness, nacho chips are served with it. A great soup overall!

4. Tomato arancini balls - a really tasty starter to begin the meal. Great italian filling and the cheese inside makes the dish sing! Loved the crispiness and the tomato sauce as well!

5. Liquid marijuana - this cocktail was on a bit stronger side. A little less alcohol would have made the taste perfectly balanced!

6. Fugitive - for the teetotalers this mocktail is a worth try! A really delicious blend of a few juices and is balanced so well! Brilliant!

7. Burmese khao suey - this dish was good in flavours but i did not get that burmese kick in it. The chillies brought a bit of indian take on it. The chicken and noodles were well cooked and the gravy lacked that kick.

8. Butter chicken pizza - one of the best pizzas in town! You get the delicious flavour of the gravy and chunks of chicken topped on the cheesy pizza! Its just yum! Highly recommended!

9. Blueberry cheesecake - a meal's not over without a dessert and definitely not without a cheesecake! This cheesecake is so soft and creamy and the blueberry taste does not overpower the cheesecake. Really delicious!

The ambiance is just beautiful! The speciality here is that they have an overhead beer tap! Looks so amazing! The service is fast and the food is finger licking delicious! Cheers!

The place is really nice, the ambience is really good. I especially loved the beer tap setup, ask about it when you go there.
The restaurant layout is also awesome.
Now the real part, food and service.
We loved the food, the beer was also very smooth and tasty.
The butter chicken, chicken chettinad, garlic butter Naan. The chicken was juicy and tender, perfectly cooked. The service was also good.

Ratings out of 5
Food : 5
Drinks: 5
Service: 4
Ambience:4

I visited this place for a friend's birthday treat. The ambience is decent and the food was delightful. Also the mocktails served were different and good. They were pleasing to the eyes. All in all it was a good experience and also the girl who I guess manages the place was a good person.

Had a sudden dinner planned at tipsy duckling... nice ambience and a friendly staff. The service guy Mr. Amol Avdhe suggested nice snacks and maincourse. The best part is that the restaurant also served us while bottle of whiskey as they serve half and quarter as well. At the end, the desserts were delicious and Ms. Richa was very kind enough to help me in my queries. Overall excellent experience and will surely recommend to others.

Late review! It was my first time visiting. We reached late around 10:30 and they were happy to accommodate us! 😊

We ordered Red label and cocktails which have very interesting and quirky names. Quirky is my jam! I ordered black panther and a Cosmo. I wanted to order bloody Mary but it was not available. 🙁

Starters: Bong style chicken: it was as good as it gets. The chicken was fallen off of bones and it was very juicy. 5/5 for it. The chutney given with it was amazing!!
Rava surmai: They were like fried fish. They were a little blant. Expected it to be little more spicy.
Potato and cheese croquettes: they were delicious. Must try!

Mains: we had khow suey which was spectacular. it was enough for two people. Perfect dish for a chilly night.
All American Burger: nothing fancy about it. Just a good o'l burger.

Dessert: a blueberry cheesecake! Which was just out of this world! Loved it. Definitely going back for that! Didn't click picture of it. It was irresistible!

Service was good. Staff was courteous.

A big shout out to the manager. It was lovely to watch her handle everything effortlessly!

Final verdict
Food: 5/5
Service: 5/5
Ambiance: 4/5

Must visit for awesome food, cocktails and blueberry cheesecake! 💕

The place does complete justice to its name. It is as happening as its name. The Tipsy Duckling is operated by 3 owners, is designed the thoughtfully with huge seating arrangements outdoors and indoors. Being a nature lover, greenery always attracts me, and I loved the idea of beautifully placed canopies amongst the greenery. >

Visited tipsy duckling last night. It was a bit crowded considering it was a weekend.
Few observations:

Positives:
1. Large space
2. Good ambience
3. Less waiting time
4. No parking hassle

Scope of improvement:
1. Food portions were small, could be increased. Especially when compared to the prices.
2. Speed of service should definitely be improved. French fries took about 20 minutes to be served.
3. Tried the mud cake, wish it was more muddy & chocolaty.
This place deserves a 4.5! Good ambience, great food and interesting shots! They have some creative dishes,, must try. Goodng about this place is that they have a wide variety of craft beers! Almost all local brands are available along with the usual ones. It has an indoor and outdoor sitting area. Good for every occasion, be it a date or a group meeting. The staff is very polite. Best thing - not at all heavy on pocket.

The tipsy duckling is another restaurant in kothrud which serves continental and indain food, the place has done some really good innovations in their food to make you fall in love with it,the place has indoor as well as outdoor seating, you can sit wherever you want according to your convenience, the outdoor seating is more for smoking area, the ambiance is simple and really spectacular which makes a pleasant atmosphere in the restaurant which is just enough to make you happy and will bring a smile on your face, these little things will make you fall in love with the restaurant and food which is ordered by you.

Coming on to the food items which i tried here:

1)Chicken thecha kebab:This was boneless chicken pieces marinated in green chilli and coriander paste, the chicken was very well marinated, the flavours went deep inside the chicken, the chicken was perfectly cooked the only draw back was that the chicken was mild in flavours i was expecting the dish to be spicy as the name was thecha kebab and thecha is supposed to be spicy.

2)Blt:The blt sandwich had plenty of bacon slices filled in it with lettuce tossed in mustard sauce, the bread of the sandwich was fresh, moist and the dish was served with extra lettuce tossed in mustard sauce HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

3)Chicken ghee roast nachos:These were crispy nachos topped with beans, sour cream and chicken roasted in ghee, the chicken was very well cooked and flavourful, the nachos were coming really good with the ghee roast chicken and beans with the sour cream.HIGHLY RECOMMEBDED

4)Chicken kheema panipuri:This panipuri was served with pandhra rassa, chicken kheema, boiled spicy potato, the chicken kheema was mild in flavours, the pandhra rassa was watery and didn't had any flavours in it,only the cinnamon flavour was coming this dish was not appealing to me.

5)Butter chicken:This was char grilled boneless chicken pieces served in a rich and creamy tomato gravy which was topped with cream and butter, the butter chicken had a balanced sweetness and the gravy had a thick consistency and came really good with butter garlic naan.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

6)Ghee roast chicken:This was tomato and onion based gravy served with laccha paratha, the gravy was over sweet and the laccha paratha needs to be work on.

7)Passion fruit cheesecake:The cheesecake had a soft and creamy texture at the bottom there was a crisp layer of biscuit crumbs and was topped with passion fruit syrup, the passion fruit flavour was coming really good on the palate and the cheesecake had a balanced sweetness.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

8)Blueberry cheesecake:This cheesecake had a soft and creamy texture at the bottom there was a crispy layer of biscuit crumbs and was topped with blueberry syrup, the blueberry flavour was coming really good on the palate and the cheesecake had a balanced sweetness.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Top five reasons to visit this place:

1)The ambiance of this place has indoor as well as outdoor seating, the outdoor seating allows you to smoke and indoor seating allows you to sit and relax with food and drinks.

2)The portion size served at this place is enough and can easily fill one's stomach.

3)The place serves continental as well as indian food this makes you to choose from variety of dishes.

4)The place is perfect for a friends get togethere, party, date this place will definitely not disappoint you when you have special occasion.

5)The place is pocket friendly you don't have to spend large amount of money to enjoy continental and indian food.

Was here last sunday with friends , this place as indoor as well as outdoor sitting . A great place which can be visited by family & friends . Staff are polite and friendly . Coming to what i tried here ..

⚛Mocktails -
Tried out their innovative mocktails Mandarin Blast , Fugitive , Kiwi Frost , Blueberry Icecream Soda .. My fav was Mandarin Blast & Fugitive . Mandarin blast had crushed orange flavour and hint of vanilla whereas fugitive was fusion of kaffe lime with pomegranate in cranberry juice .

⚛ Starters
-Chicken Kheema Pani Puri - Poori served along with chicken keema ,mashed boiled potatoes , green peas & kolhapuri pandhara rassa . Everything went well apart from pandhara rassa which had punch of cinnamon only and was salty .

- Chicken Ghee Roast Nachos - I wanted to try this because of the Interesting combination of nachos and chicken ghee roast , well this was good in taste the chicken also was cooked properly it could be little more spicy .

- Chicken Thecha Kebab - Tender pieces of chicken kebab marinated in thecha . The chicken was succulent and it had the flavour of thecha at every bite , but as thecha is known for its chilly punch it was missing here . Overall this was a mild thecha kebab .

⚛ Mains -
- Butter Chicken - The name alone can make you want to enjoy this ever so popular indian dish.It was the best dish we had here. Thick and rich gravy tasted absolutely delicious

- Ghee Roast Chicken With Lachha - Chicken Ghee Roast is a spicy and tangy Mangalorean delicacy , it is usually a thick preparation but the gravy was served here was thin in consistency and mild in flavours , chicken was cooked properly .

- Khowsuey - Its a one pot meal with noodles and veggies cooked in coconut milk and garnished with peanuts and fried garlic . This dish is bursting with flavours . Definitely recommended .

A place with lit ambience for clicking amazing pics! 😅

What we had -

1) Deadpool retox - 4 / 5
Strawberry crush spiced with jalapeños!! Sweet as well as spicy at the same time!! This was something new and is worth a try!! 😛

2) Smoked BBQ chicken wings - 2/5
The chicken wings were good in taste however it felt like having normal ketchup along with chicken, and not BBQ sauce!! Disappointment!! 😔

3) Hot basil chicken with burnt garlic noodles - 5/5
This was the best of 'em all! Burnt garlic noodles served with chicken in manchurian gravy!! The noodles tasted good and the manchurian gravy was on point!! 🤘🏻

P.S. When asked whether they accept payments through Dineout, they refused saying that they do not accept payments through Dineout... Well the Dineout app says otherwise!!

Can give it a try once more to try out other dishes on the menu... In order to give the final rating!

Tipsy Duckling

Tipsy Duckling is a venture from same management that used to run Ugly Duckling on Baner pashan link road, TD is located on Karve road and serves continental cuisines with most of the dishes which are done with some twist or fusion along with an extensive bar menu.

Mocktails

Kiwi Frost, Mandrin Blast, Fugutive, Blueberry Ice Cream Soda.

Mandrin Blast was my best pick out of it, it had a orange flavor crush along with mild hint of vanilla.

Starters

Chicken Ghee Roast Nachos [Rs 285]: Nachos topped with beans and chicken ghee roast was good in taste, the chicken was well cooked and it was medium spicy, I was expecting it to be a bit spicy.

Chicken Thecha Kebab [Rs 311]: Boneless chicken pieces done with green chilly based marination was good in taste, I was expecting it to have a spicy punch as thecha is supposed to be a bit spicy; however it was good in taste with tender and perfectly cooked chicken pieces. #Recommended

Tandoori Aloo [Rs 245]: Mini Aloo pieces done in a tandoori masala was excellent in taste, it was served with mint chutney and pickled onion which was also superbly done.

#Recommended

Chicken Chettinad Sliders [Rs 223]: The mini buns were stuffed with lettuce and chicken chettinad pieces in it, the buns were soft and fresh however the chicken chettinad masala was very mild on flavors, the chicken was soft and juicy but the overall it didn’t impress me.

Mains

Butter Chicken [Rs 361]: Char grilled tandoori chicken pieces in a thick and rich gravy was superb in taste, it was creamy and buttery.

#Musthave

Ghee Roast Chicken with Laccha Paratha [Rs 300]: The Chicken pieces were well cooked but the gravy was thin in consistency and it was mild on flavors. Didn’t impress me.

Desserts

Passion Fruit [Rs 200] & Blueberry Cheesecake [Rs 205]: The Cheesecakes were soft, lite and creamy and the bottom layer had a thin crispy crust. Both were superb in taste. #Highlyrecommended.

Frozen Hot Chocolate [Rs 208]: Frankly I am not a hot chocolate lover, this one was good in taste, other people on the table enjoyed it a lot. The presentation of this dessert was inviting.

Ambience is pretty good. And service is quick. It's a small place and quaint. Thankfully without loud music. We had ordered 2 pizzas and 2 starters and 2 mocktails. They were to the mark. And quantity also was pretty generous. But the non veg pizza did not have enough toppings. And there's not enough variety overall. Apart from that this place is excellent!

-It's time to get tipsy -

Tipsy duckling is one of those places where you feel refreshed, energetic/energized after entering the restaurant premises. The logo of duck only catches your attention. The Tipsy ducking is a sister restaurant of Ugly duckling which was known for their smoky meat preparations. The entire restaurant gives you a positive sporty vibe which helps you and refreshes your mood. The ambiance, interior as well as the branding is done so perfectly that everything is relatable.

Seating capacity is of around 120 which is pretty good and I think it's one of the fewer restaurants in Kothrud which serves crafted beers. They have lots of tapped beer on board which is something more to offer in the alcoholic beverage section.

Let's get into the main action -

✪ Starters

1. Ghee roast chicken tacos - A new combination which I liked personally. Classic nachos with red beans and other mixture with ghee roast chicken topped with sour cream. The masala of ghee roast was on the spicier side but it complimented perfectly to the nachos and red bean mixture. A good combination with nachos.

2. Thecha kebab - Tender juicy pieces of chicken kebab marinated in thecha preparation. The kebab was cooked perfectly and juicy yet it and had that charred flavor at the end of every chunk. However, the punch of thecha was missing badly, thecha is known for the green chilies punch which was missing badly. The kebab was on much milder flavor than that I thought of as per my personal palate.

3. BLT - One of the best BLT sandwiches I've tried. The perfect balance of every element which can be seen in this one. The bun was soft and had mustard tossed lettuce, tomato and enough bacon strips, heaven for the bacon lover. It's so simple yet so perfect that you can't go wrong with this one at all.

4. Tandoori Aloo - Marinated with classic tandoori marination and then finished in a tandoor till it gets a nice charred flavor. The marination was perfect and aloo was cooked well but the marination didn't go till the end of potato which was something I experienced. Still, the dish was good as it had that nice flavor of marination followed by gooeyness of aloo and a juicy flavor of same.

5. Chettinad Sliders - Visually appealing, this dish failed to impress me. The sauce was something different than the name, it felt like mayo sauce with some chili flakes topped on it. It didn't have any Chettinad flavor which was disappointing. The chicken chunks, on the other hand, was cooked perfectly and the overall taste of sliders was great it wasn't dry at all.

✸Mains

1. Ghee roast chicken - A somewhat different again than the actual name. The expected thick gravy was watery and had a dominant tangy flavor. Didn't expect this to come.

2. Butter chicken - This saved our day. The best one to have here without any doubt. It had a balanced flavor of cream and tomato and it wasn't sweet at all. It had that perfect sweetness of cream which was accompanied by chicken tikka, went well with roti.

3. Kerala stew with lemon rice - A combination to try at Tipsy. A coconutty thick stew with lots of veggies topped with lemon flavored rice. The rice had mild lemon flavor but it went perfect with the stew, Stew had a dominant flavor of coconut but again it was balanced by the juicy veggies.

4. Khow Suey - Another coconut based preparation which simply won our heart. A medium thick textured coconut dominated gravy which was mixed with noodles and topped with burnt garlic and noodles. The gravy was creamy yet flavorful and slightly tangy with a hint of spicy punch at end of every bite. A satisfying dish to have in the mains.

I even tried some mocktails and desserts but I'm no judge at these things so I'll avoid that.

Overall Verdict - Tipsy is fun to go a place where you can have some crafted beers and chill with friends. The food is equally good and worth trying.

There was buzz about this place for quite some time so came here. Service is good. Drink menu is good. Food menu is too limited I think. Munchings are overpriced. Food taste is good but quantity is less compare to pricing. Ambiance is really colorful and vibrant. Washroom situation is little cramped up. Considering u expect people to drink u should make some better arrangements for them to make room for more.

The Tipsy Duckling has come up with a good news for the residents of Kothrud and near-by areas. With one of its kind suspended tap and craft beers flowing, the place is surely a benchmark. Spacious restro with indoor and outdoor seating, quirky quote coasters, vibrant interiors are the features of The Tipsy Duckling. Two wheeler parking is easily available.

Nice place to spend a quality time with loved ones. Menu is thoughtful. I like the range of food items they serve but looks a bit overpriced. I had chatpata chana, mungfali zol, chicken poppers, spaghetti agli olio veggies. Loved the beers and bar snacks. I will visit the place again as they have range of innovative recipes. Proprietary service. Usual ambience.

This is one of the newest food places in Karve Nagar. A much needed one too I must say. Went there with family and had an amazing time. The food was phenomenal. The best was Butter Paneer Tacos. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Must try starter. The ambience was great and the service was prompt. :)

@thetipsyduckling is a good place opened at Kothrud opposite Business hub near vanadevi.
We tried lot of things here:
1. French Fries - Regular and Peri Peri. Tasty served with a cheesy dip.
2. Stuffed Multani mushrooms - Mushrooms nicely stuffed with masala which had earthy tangy flavour.
3. BBQ Smoked Chicken Wings - these were ok ok. The BBQ sauce coating was sweet. Chicken was not as tender and juicy as should have been.
4. Peanut Jhol - nice twist to our regular peanuts. Peanuts with onions, tomatoes and lemon juice.
5. Beer beans tacos - tacos were good and crispy. The filling of beans was delicious with topping of sour cream.
6. Pesto Paneer Jalapenos pizza - simple nice pizza with a crispy base. Tasty flavour.
7. Pink penne pasta
8. Virgin Mojito - cold and refreshing.
Overall it was good experience. Ambience was good

Good news for all the KarveNagar kars.
‘The Tipsy Duckling’ is all ready to great you with their lovely ambience and delicious food.
If you know ‘Ugly Duckling’ , this place is coming from the same owner.
This place is perfect in every aspect, Ambiance Food Drinks Service, everything is superb.
They have n number of varieties in craft beers , I just tasted the beers , not able to recollect the names but they were amazing too.

Drinks
➡️NYC duckling: Being a wine lover, I always prefer the wine based cocktails.
So I went with this one, this was a vodka and wine based cocktail with pomegranate juice which gave the drink a unique taste.

Starters:
➡️Multani Stuffed Mushroom: I was not a Mushroom fan, but since few months, I have literally got addicted to mushrooms. This was served in a cylindrical shaped wooden like “Belan”.
Mushrooms were made in Multani style and spiced up to perfection and later stuffed with creamy and cheesy ingredients. This one was a perfect starter.

➡️Pesto Arasini Balls: These were the rice balls which were stuffed with Italian pesto fillings and coated with bread crumbs. This one was full on Heavy and Cheesy.

Mains:

➡️Veg Khow Suey : Khow Suey made with rich creamy coconut gravy with mild flavours served with noodles. This one was perfect in taste as well as in terms of Thickness. Totally loved it.

Desserts:

➡️Blueberry Cheesecake: This one was like a regular Blueberry Cheesecake. It was so fresh and taste of blueberry was simply yum.

➡️Mississippi Mud Cake: Very soft and gooey chocolate cake garnished with chocolate syrup.
Presentation itself was pretty appealing. Taste was awesome.
#must try

➡️Frozen Hot Chocolate: The name itself is very fascinating right ;)
This was the Hot Chocolate which was frozen and served in a glass with a layer of whipped cream. Totally amazing in taste, I literally fill like I was in heaven.
highlyrecoomeneded

Overall must visit place !!!!!

TIPSY

INTRODUCTION

This place is located near Karvenagar. First this place was called the ugly duckling where they used to serve only food no drinks but now, they changed their name into tipsy ducking as they have started serving alcohol too. This place is been there for a while is known for its Indo-continental food and their amazing range of cocktails.

AMBIENCE

The place is divided into two seating one is the indoor and other is the outdoor one. The outdoor seating is more of a causal seating with mix of wooden and benches and tables. The whole place is covered by trees and have a nice peaceful vibe to it. the inner seating looks more like a cooperate seating they have round tables on the first deck and normal tables on the second deck.

BEVERAGES

NYC

This was one great combination of alcohol mixed together and turned into a great drink. This drink had some vodka added to it and red wine along with a dash of fresh pomegranate juice. It was having a smooth flavour of the wine and kick from the vodka. To mild down the bitterness the juice did its job. One amazing cocktail.

Liquid Marijuana

Green apple syrup mixed with some fresh pineapple juice topped it with white rum. This drink looked like a perfect tropical drink. This was much on the sweeter side and was mild compared to the first drink. The neon green colour of the drink made it more appealing

Irish Gaelic

This was whisky based cocktail, which was mixed alone with green apple and citrus blue. This was then topped with soda. This was having more refreshing taste to it. Simple ingredients but was a great drink. This drink was strong.

Bacon Flavoured Beer

I’m huge fan of the craft beer and bacon flavoured beer was something which I haven’t heard. This was the first time I tried this beer. This was more towards mild side, the bitter taste which a beer has was less. It had a amazing smokey bacon after taste to it which just tantalized taste buds. One amazing beer I had after a very long time.

APPERTIZERS

Multani Mushrooms

Mushrooms Marinated in some turmeric, cumin and coriander powder and some ginger garlic paste. This mushroom was stuffed with some veggies. Then this was charred in a tandoor I guess in a clay oven as it had an earthen flavour to it. it was mild on spices but it was having spot on flavours that will tantalise your taste buds.

Thecha Chicken Kebab

Thecha is traditional Maharashtrian chutney kind of preparation. The thecha has only green chillies, some garlic and dash of salt and lemon juice. This was mild with the curd and the chicken was marinated into this. The chicken was charred into the tandoor. The chicken was so tender and moist that no need to use any folk too. The flavour was like a thecha but it lacked the spicy punch that the thecha has. May be this is because peoples of different taste buds visit this place.

Kheema Pani Puri

A fusion of classic Pani Puri, the ragada that goes in the original pani puri was replaced by the chicken kheema, and the pani of pani puri was replaced by the padara rasa. The combination of kheema and padara rassa went well with the pani puris puri. The kheema was mild on spices and was cooked well. The padara rassa has subtle coconut and garlic flavour to it.

Ravas Fry

The main thing made me happy was they used ravas fish because most of the restaurants use basa fish which is very cheap and tasteless. The ravas was cut into fingers size portions and coated with some semolina salt and some red chilli powder, this was then deep fried to perfection. The outer coating was nice crisp and the inner fish was nice moist and soft. The only thing that I felt was the coating was bit uneven.

MAINS

Veg Khow suey

As we all know khow suey is a Burmese origin dish. The noodle as made from the rice which as called as glass noodle too. The base or the curry of this this is made from coconut milk and it is served along with some condiments. The khow seuy here was great. Had that nice coconut creamy flavour to it. The noodles were cooked very well. They had added some fried noodles on the top which gave a nice crisp texture to the dish. It was well balance dish.

Chicken Ghee Roast With Laccha Paratha

I have an affection towards Indian mains, and show this dish in the menu and ordered it. This was totally amazing dish. This was a pure indulgence into it. The chicken was slow cooked in pure desi ghee and with some Indian spices like red chilli powder, some mustard seed and curry leaves. This was having a great spice taste to it. It was only onion based gravy. The ingredients were simple but the flavours were bang on. I highly recommend this dish. And I loved the tagline they used for this dish “khail tar tupasi and the upashi”.

Butter Chicken Pizza

Two favour food fused together which made an eternal creation. This was a thin crust pizza with the base sauce of the makhani buttery gravy of the butter chicken and on the topped tender butter chicken pieces. This was topped with lots of cheese. The taste of the pizza was amazing the original taste of the butter chicken was not disturbed by the cheese.

BLT

Bacon lettuce and tomato sandwich, what would go wrong with these three things. The bacon was just perfect. It was cooked very good and was crisp. No miserliness in adding bacon to the sandwich. Each bite had a bacon piece into it. This was the best bacon sandwich I had.

DESSERTS

Mississippi Mud Cake

Mississippi mud is one gluy chocolatey cake. The base of the cake was made from the chocolate crumble. This was then topped with chocolate sauce. This was chocolatey heaven. Perfectly soft and moist having that kick from the dark chocolate. A perfect ending

Frozen Hot Chocolate.

I guess if I’m craving for dessert then I guess it will be this dessert only. Two contradict words making a bomb of dessert. Traditional made hot chocolate and then made chill by freezing it. This was then topped with some whipped cream. The chocolate was pure indulgence. Highly recommended here.

VERDICT

This place is totally amazing. Special thanks to The_alcohol_pedia for the amazing drinks. And special thanks to Jessica for the amazing hospitality that she gave us. The food is a perfect for the location they have a great Indian food as well as some great continental dishes. The craft beers they serve are just cherry on the cake. This place has amazing ambience and great food.

It happens to be the second time we have been to this place.. the first being a few months ago when it was newly opened..well to be honest I liked this place on the first go..but it wasn't the case second time around..
It being a weekday we got a place reasonably fast..but as we were handed the menus the waiter started rattling off the list of "ohh so great dishes "they had to offer..and he did seem mildly annoyed wen we said we would like a minute to consider..anyways.. coming to the food part..

Ordered ghee roast nachos -2/5 just a sum fresh cream the ghee roast and nachos on top..(can give it a miss)

Cheese french fries-1/5 it looked also unappetizing ; a puddle of cheese with fries (definitely a miss)

Butter garlic prawns- absolutely spot on! Beautifully cooked & tasted amazing..,!!

Malabar chicken poppers- first time around they we're much better..this time though the taste was spot onn the pieces were smaller..

The star of the dinner was ordering murgh musallam & butter garlic naan.. really really good..

Tipsy duckling.. this time around the food was hit & miss..even the staff needs to be little polished.. would like to come back though to try the ghee roast & laccha paratha!

Cocktails have a very comic book inspired names & might I say they are strong as their comic counterparts!
In frame:Deadpool(red)
Adios ma da facka(blue)
Food:thecha mushroom
Thecha chicken
Both spicy with a tangy taste presented in hollow bamboo themed containers
Chicken tikka pizza was thinking crust and kinda crunchy
Highlights: chicken and mutton Pani puris for those who love Pani Puri and meat! Totally recommended here!
Chicken khow suey was really authentic to the ones I had in Malaysia but don't wait for the condiments on the side as they are added up in the dish itself.
Dessert : rasberry cheesecake which was really mildly sweet
The chocolate brownie was good as it is literally an innovated version of Halwai ke dukaan ki mithai and chocolate brownie so that was a plus.
Pretty ambience
Brewed beer

Nice place to hangout with you friends and loved ones. I liked the ambience. Felt like less options in veg however whatever you try will be tasty. Will be visiting again for trying more things.

A boon to all the kothrudites out there who were in a dire search of a place to hangout and chill around the vicinity, tipsy duckling is the perfect place to get tipsy. Located in an area crowded with collegiates, this restaurant has it all to be a hit among the youngsters.
The ambience in here is cozy and makes you feel at ease the moment you step in. The decor is minimal yet elegant, full marks for keeping it simple. Other than that they also make their own craft beers, which are a great option to consider.

Happened to visit it on a weekday along with my buddies and had a ball of a time here. Absolutely loved the food dished out here. Some of them which I absolutely enjoyed devouring are ...

🔸 Kheema Pani Puri with Pandra Rassa- Woah! What an innovative dish this was. Absolutely mindblowing. I can go on to say that pani puri never taste so good before. A must try.

🔸 Chicken Thecha Kebab- The ones who like their kebabs to be spicy, this one is for you'll. The taste of thecha was a hit on my tastebuds.

🔸Pesto Arancini Balls- These small balls of joy can certainly light your day up with its cheesy filling. The tomato and pesto sauce served along with it complemented it really well.

🔸Butter Chicken Pizza- Butter chicken and pizza clubbed together! What else would you probably want? The pizza is a must try if you want to try something new.

🔸Penne in Pink Sauce- It has become my favourite off late. This one here didn't disappoint me at all. The pasta was cooked well and tossed in the perfect amount of sauces and seasonings. Just the way I like my pasta to be.

🔸Brownie Mousse Cake- A treat to the eyes and the tastebuds alike. This dessert is a sandwich of chocolate brownie, coconut fudge and saffron mousse which is a delight.

🔸Cheesecake with Passion Fruit Glaze- Wouldn't say it was a perfect cheesecake tbh but it was certainly delightful and smooth.

The service here is quite good as well. The staff attends every table with complete attention and cater to their needs perfectly. They also provide suggestions just in case you aren't sure what to order. So that's about my experience here. Cheers! 👐

‘The Tipsy Duckling’ is a hot new place located in Karve Nagar. The place has already made a buzz after launching it in city and I couldn’t resist myself to get tipsy here. Isn’t their name is just funky? Already set your mood right. I really found their name attractive which makes you visit his place and find out what they have got in their bucket.

So, Karve Nagar is that part of city which is always considered to be very calm and peaceful. This place is generally surrounded by restaurants and café but with changing time the place has evolved and hence the result ‘The Tipsy Duckling’- a casual dining bar. This is what this location needed and guess this place has got it all. Also, this place serve craft beers which makes it much cooler.

So the place has got indoor and outdoor seating area. Interiors are pretty decent for a bar and casual dining place. They have a nice bar counter and round tables in indoor seating area. They place good music to set that mood for you. What else does one need? Also, they know how to take care of their customers so hospitality is another part which impressed me here.

Let’s talk about their food. So what all they serve? From Indian to continental they serve every kinda food. Be it your Chakhna or Indian main course, you will get everything. And yes, they have their own brewery so beer lovers, this is your place. I have tried few drinks and food items here. Let me share my experience-

01. IRISH GAELIC: One of the best Whiskey based cocktail I have ever had. This cocktail had Whiskey infused with Honey-melon syrup, Blue Curacaos and Irish Gaelic. It looked green in colour. The taste was really good. This was on milder side. Totally loved this drink.

02. MULTANI STUFFED MUSHROOMS: I loved the serving style of this dish. It was served in a cylindrical shaped wooden thing. So in this dish, mushrooms were made in Multani style and spiced up to perfection and later stuffed with creamy and cheesy ingredients. The mushrooms were covered in creamy yellow sauce. It had a perfect taste. Mild yet delicious.

03. THECHA CHICKEN KEBABS: These were one spicy kebabs. As thecha is well known for its high spicy level and these kebabs were cooked in Thecha.
So, thecha is made of chillies paste and some spices. The kebabs were really juicy and delicious.

04. CHICKEN KHEEMA PANI PURI WITH PANDHRA RASSA: So you may have heard about different kind of Pani- Puri (mostly vegetarian) but ever heard about Chicken Pani Puri?
Sound interesting..eh?
It was my first time too when I have tried something like this. Well, it was basically ‘Keema Pani Puri’ which was Pani Puri served with Pandhra Rassa (a liquidate form of curd) along with chicken Keema, boiled potatoes and peas. I loved this combination.A deconstructed version of Pani- Puri Indeed.

05. RAWA FRIED FISH FINGERS: Crunchy fish fingers which were coated with rawa tasted just average to me. I felt that coating of rawa on fish was way too much due to which I could taste Rawa more than the fish. It was served with mayo sauce.

06. PESTO ARANCINI BALLS: Golden brown Rice balls which were stuffed with Italian fillings and coated with bread crumbs. Liked the taste of these balls.

So, their starters and drinks very pretty much good. And it was time for some main-course. These are the dishes I have tried in main-course –

01. VEG KHOW SUEY: Khow Suey which is a very well-known dish from Burma turned out to be good at this place. Rich creamy coconut gravy with mild flavours was served with noodles. Perfect amount of spices was used, and the taste was on point so was the consistency of the gravy.

02. BUTTER CHICKEN PIZZA: Indianized version of Italian food. This pizza was topped with butter chicken gravy along with succulent pieces of chicken and so much cheese. Melted right away in my mouth as when I took a bite. Loved it.

03. BACON LETTUCE TOMATO SANDWICH: Amazing combination of Bacon, lettuce and tomato which was stuffed between soft and fluffy breads went really well. Bacon was juicy ad fresh. It was simple yet delicious.

04. CHICKEN GHEE ROAST WITH LACHHA PARATHA: This was the star of the evening. This chicken literally won my heart. The aroma of chicken already aroused me to try this out and when I did, it turned out to be best. The essence of ghee in roasted chicken with thick creamy gravy was really good. It went really well with Lachha Paratha.

It was time for some desserts after such scrumptious meal. I have tried these desserts there-

01. BLUEBERRY CHEESECAKE: Classic Blueberry cheesecake which was rich and gooey. Though it lacked that pinch of salt. Rest the taste was good.

02. BROWNIE MOUSSE CAKE: Combination of Chocolate brownie and mousse made this a good dessert to have. It was good.

03. MISSISSIPPI MUD CAKE: This was one heavenly cake. It was enriched with chocolate and on top of that a chocolate syrup was poured. It literally tantalised my taste buds. Must try

04. FROZEN HOT CHOCOLATE: Being a hot chocolate lover I was very thrilled to try the frozen version of the same. So, the hot chocolate topped with whipped cream but in frozen form served in a glass. The taste was good.

Overall, I had an enjoyable experience at this place. The food was good, and their service was on point. The place gives you good vibes make you want to chill there.

Ratings-

FOOD: 4/5

AMBIANCE: 4/5

SERVICE: 4.5/5

A place, not to miss out. Thank you The Tipsy Duckling
:)

Kothrud was in dire need of places like TIPSY!Absolutely befitting decor and a lively place to chill out with friends / family .

(Special Mention) -Totally impressed with the varieties of beer that they served to start with, I favoured the vanilla and bacon ones completely. You are supposed to taste them for sure if u checkin.#Highly reccomended

Also before I start with the food , the cocktails here are mind bogglingly fantastic.
1)Very particularly I will recommend you the 'Irish Gaelic' which was a whiskey based cocktail with green apple and blue curacao. Relished it like crazy !
2)'NYC duckling' was vodka and wine with pomegranate juice which can be another good choice
3) 'Liquid marijuana' was a white rum drink that can be a pick for the rum lovers

The starters included -
1)Chicken kheema panipuri with pandhra rassa - Something that is so unique and Tipsy is being known for this lately . The puris are to be devoured with chicken kheema and the very authentic pandhra rassa. One of its kind experience for sure!
2)Rawa fried fish fingers - Rawas which was fried with the rawa coating tasted superb with the dip that was provided.
3)Theecha chicken kebab- Pretty much regular chicken kebabs which were undoubtedly good to taste and can be opted for.

Mains -
1)Chicken ghee roast with laccha paratha - I tasted this after a long long gap and was completely satisfied with the exact taste that the ghee roast yeilded and was amazing to gobble with the laccha paratha along
2) Butter chicken loader pizza -An absolutely thin crust making the pizza even yummier butter chicken lovers go hog on this , you will thank me later.
3) BLT - Tried bacon for the first time in my life and trust me it was fabulous. The lettuce, bacon adn tomato worked wonders

Desserts -
1) Blueberry cheesecake - This one is like everone's favourite and this place leaves no stones unturned to impress you with theirs.
2)Frozen hot chocolate - #Highly recommended. Don't even miss this by mistake . The best dessert I have tasted like everrrr! Droolworthy to the core!
3)Brownie mousse cake - Tried it for the first time here and fell in love with the same. This one had coconut fudge and saffron adding to its taste making it more flavourful

Kothrudkars just rush to this place and enjoy every bit of it!

This is a lovely place near Dhanukar colony, Kothrud. We had ordered stuffed mushroom for starters, Goan fish curry and a sandwich. All of these dishes were delicious. The spices seemed to be in right proportion and the aroma was too engaging to not notice it.
Staff was well trained. Ambience was good.
Overall experience was amazing. Would love to go there again.

The place is good and the food is also good but the service is pathetic. the craft beer tasters are chargeable and the waiters will not inform you about it.Everything that the management will say that sorry the waiter forgot to inform you. All in all a good place with good food is being let down by unprofessional staff

So we decided to visit this new happening place in kothrud The Tipsy Duckling.. Very well placed and easy to find.
The staff was warm and welcoming.
Our eyes were on the bar and the entree section.. We were in to try what they are offering new. So tried the kamikaze, mango bite, and paan pasand shots and must say were the best way to get TIPSY.. In the literal way.
Then we tried out fav cocktail LIIT, and asked the bartender to serve his best and he was happy to flaunt hid talent .. The duckling mojito and a drink called Adios म द फ क.
Must say both were awesome and perfect combination to end the eve on a high note..
For the food.. The chicken poppers, american canapes, bbq chicken wings and prawns koliwada were the match made im heaven with the bar menu..
All in all an amazing experience since a long time and must say spending every penny was worth it.

Definitely not worth the hype and 4.1* rating at the time of my visit. Poor reception, the tables were too close to have any kind of privacy, some food items were nothing but overpriced street food with quirky names. The ambience was nice but would like to see the tables spaced out a bit more. The staff attending our table was nice and helpful, that is the only good point about this place without a but.
If you ever plan to visit, please don’t order Moongfali Jhol- it’s just salted peanuts tossed in some oil and tomato and coriander added to it & dressing doesn’t even add anything to the dish, it tastes exactly like salted peanuts.
Pink sauce pasta is more like orange sauce pasta. spicy indian gravy with some cheese I think.
Overall experience 2/10; definitely not worth the money they charge.

From the people who gave us an ugly duckling, comes another naughty waterfowl – The Tipsy Duckling.

A spacious eatery in the heart of Kothrud [or K-Town, as its more popularly known], the Tipsy Duckling has comfortable indoor and outdoor seating to suit the weather and your mood. One of the rare places in this side of town to pour craft beers, Tipsy also serves a wide range of delectable fares ranging from Continental to South East Asian to fusion.

The Tipsy Duckling is that newbie in town which has been quite in the talks. And to my content, it did not fail to impress.

Located at Kothrud, it has become a prime spot and an easy choice to go out for a good meal or to have drinks. I’m sure it is easily one of the better options for alcohol in the area for the college crowd.

It’s interesting how they have utilised their floor area to it’s maximum in order to provide sufficient seatings. Also, they’ve done justice to it’s interiors, very basic and minimal but in a good way.

If i had to put my review in one line it would be: Good food, prompt service, pleasant dining experience.

Getting at the food, the preparations were brilliant and experimentation is done quite well. Also, special mention to the desserts because i was completely smitten by this one chocolate cake. I just felt that the cocktails could have been a little more strong alcohol wise.

What I ordered:

COCKTAILS:

1) The Tonic Avenger : This is your to go option if you are a fan of gin and lemon. I liked it.

2) Irish Garlic : A very beautiful coloured cocktail and also good to taste. Could have been a little stronger though.

FOOD:

1) Keema Pani Puris served with Pandhra Rassa : What do i say, smashing taste and what a brilliant combination. Loved the flavours and creativity. MUST ORDER. (With mutton)

2) Prawns Koliwada : Prawns is my favourite so it’s a deal maker/breaker for me. This dish did justice for sure so it is a deal maker for me.

3) Thai Cottage Cheese : Beautifully made paneer in thai style which turned out to be amazing.

4) Butter Garlic Prawns : Basic to go dish which is always a safe option. Quantity wise it is brilliant but taste wise I wasn’t too happy with it.

5) Butter Chicken Loader Pizza : A well done crust but for me the pizza didn’t really make it’s mark. Somehow the Butter Chicken topping was just fine. Could have been better.

6) Penne in pink sauce : When pasta is made to perfection, what else could you ask for? A very well made pasta which didn’t fail to impress me.

7) Khow Suey : i am a big fan of Khow Suey and their version of it is decent. I’d say a 4/5!

DESSERTS:

1) Mississippi Mud Cake : ABSOLUTE STUNNER. I loved loved loved this chocolate cake . Must order for all the chocolate fans.

2) Brownie Mousse Cake : Just how pretty can a cake look. A very interesting combination of a brownie and mousse with a coconut filling in between. Loved the taste. The coconut filling was a little extra frozen which could have been softer.

3) Cheesecake with passion fruit glaze: A very good looking cheesecake with a tropical taste.

Damage: ₹1000 for 2

***** Tipsy Duckling, Near Dahanukar Colony, Karve Nagar *****

Now you don't need to travel to KP or Baner to get tipsy. Variety of craft beers, delicious snacks and lovely ambience.

Tipsy Duckling is situated at Vandevi Corner next to Mirch Masala restaurant, having both indoor and outdoor seating arrangements.

Ambience is simply beautiful, certainly gives positive vibes about the place and it perfectly matches to the restaurant theme.

We started with craft beer tasters from Kimaya. Honestly speaking I am not beer man, but from the tasters I loved Vanilla Porter. I preferred to have LIIT.

After finalizing the beverages we started with the food. Following are the dishes which we tasted and their short description.

1. BBQ Chicken Wings : So far most of you know that chicken wings are my weak point. I never miss to order wherever I go. Here also it was not an exception.
They served excellent chicken wings with typical BBQ flavored sauce. Wings were fleshy and cooked to perfection. They were spicey n tangy too. I loved them.

2. Bacon Cheese Fries
I don't eat pork, but here for the first time I tasted.
And I liked the taste.
Bacon is basically thinly sliced flesh from pork belly. Bacon served here was crispy and shrinkage of it was just perfect. Upon chewing it wasn't felt rubbery or dry. Went well with molten cheese and fries.

3. Rawa fried fish fingers :
It was Bombay duck fish. Deep fried with semolina coating. Tasted ok. Salt was little less, but when we asked to change it, we got served with a fresh batch which was perfect.

4. Chicken Kheema PaniPuri :
In this, you will get bunch of Pani Puris, sauteed green peas and white curry read "Pandhra Rassa"
(which we misunderstood as coconut cream)
Basically they wanted to create fusion dish.
We didn't liked it because, Pandhra Rassa was too creamy and it must not be like that.
If you skip this white curry, everything else was good.

5. Thecha Chicken Kebabs:
As it's name suggests, it was chicken Kebabs marinated and roasted with green chilli paste.
Chicken was juicy and it soaked all the flavors very well.

6. Mutton Kheema Paav:
Kheema was little dry and should have been more spicey. It was okeish.

7. Chicken Khow Suey:
It was a star dish of our dinner. They way they served was unique. At every other place we get separate servings for Noodles, curry, rice and garlic. But here they served it all together in single dish. It was blended very well. Curry was not so much creamy which actually helped other ingredients to play their role.

8. Butter Chicken Loaded Pizza:
Think crust pizza with butter chicken gravy as a base topped up with diced chicken. I liked the taste, but again some more spice in butter chicken gravy could have done wonders.

9. BLT Sandwich :
A BLT sandwich, named for the initials of its primary contents, bacon, lettuce and tomato
I didn't had it, but those who had, loved it.

10. Smoked Chicken with BBQ Sauce :
It was served along with mashed potatoes. Which balanced the spice levels of BBQ chicken. Mash was very delicious.

So overall our food journey was quite rememberable and we absolutely loved the food.

Whatever observations we had related to taste or preparation we shared it with head chef and they took it positively and promised to incorporate them.

So if you are looking for romantic, cozy evening but don't want to travel far to the other part of the city, the Tipsy Duckling will be certainly your choice.

I seldom write reviews . I am too lazy to or I really don't find it worth doing one. Most of the times I don't remember the names of dishes and I also do not click photos😚😀 Tipsy duckling pushed me enough into doing one.I last wrote about barometer a year or more back.
I am sure Tipsy duckling is going to be the best this side of the river. If it isn't already. A small place but doesn't make you feel crowded. They have a great innovative menu. . Loved the starters whether it was peri peri french fries easy to remember the name here or the delectable malabari style chicken popcorn I forgot the name . The kheema pav and the thin crust pizza were great. The kheema was wonderful. Not oozing with oil as they normally do elsewhere. Best I have had in a while.
The crafted beer is good too. Had the Belgianvit..hope I got that right.. The regular drink menu is also very reasonable. Old monk drinkers would know elsewhere it is around 100 for a 30 ml . Here it's 80 and they also do nips. The ladies had the mocktails . The stunner and I forgot the other,🤔 The ladies loved it..
Definitely value for money, superb taste, great variety. And above all the warmth of the staff makes you feel really good.
Am definitely going back ...
Great going Tipsy duckling.. if you are able to maintain this for a year. You'll be the best in town

Decent place to catch up with friends. Nice service. Multiple options for drinks. Overall very good experience. Being here for the very first time is something that you would like to repeat again and again !
But.. there is always scope of improvement and this place is too having an opportunity to improve. Couple of more options in food menu and couple of spicy dishes needs to be included.
Focus is to divert customers !!

Tipsy duckling is a something you'll enjoy dining at. If you're not new in Pune, you must've heard the name Ugly ducking. It was a smokehouse which specialized in bbq dishes. Tipsy ducking is its bigger and better version. If you're looking for a cool place to chill in Kothrud then Tipsy is a place which will live up to your each and every expectation.

Tipsy duckling is opened near MMCC engineering college recently. They have changed the entire place and converted into a fun loving, energetic place. They have 3 different tap beers from breweries with our standard beers. The restaurant can easily accommodate up to 60 people at a time. They have open-air dining section with two small dining area one being in front of the bar.

You get that positive chilling vibe as soon as you enter the restaurant. They've worked very hard on the interior part. You'll see detailed work everywhere. Even the wallpapers and menu card is designed in a way that it reflects that funky look of Tipsy duckling.

Let's get started with the Food journey -

Smoked bbq chicken wings - The wings were good. It was fleshy and had enough meat on the bone. The bbq sauce was good and had a slightly spicy touch which was minimal. The bbq flavor was on the milder side though. Overall a good bbq wings. However, I didn't get the smoky flavor which I was looking for.

Bacon cheese fries - Heaven for bacon lover like me. It had enough amount of nicely done crispy bacon strips which were then followed by creamy cheese and big fries. The bacon had a nice flavor which balanced out the bland cream cheese and fries. In my personal opinion, it could've been better if they use some other cheese or mayo to add some flavor. As without bacon, it tasted pretty bland.

Rawa fried fish fingers - Perfect fried fish coated in crispy rawa was on our table. It was looking superb. As soon as we took the first bite the dominating flavor of salt hit our taste buds. It was too salty and we had to leave it in the middle.

Thecha Kebab - Tender juicy pieces of chicken kebab marinated in thecha preparation. The thecha was mild on flavor but gave that taste hint of same in a kebab.

Kheema Pani puri - It was given with spiced green peas, small potato chunks, and nicely minced but dry kheema. They gave us pandhra rassa to try with it which was nothing but something close to thai curry. It had creamy texture with dominating coconut flavor. The combination of everything tasted pretty dry to me which can be avoided with some sweet sauce.

kheema sev puri - It was better than pani puri. Everything was mounted on the crispy puri. The combination here tasted better. The kheema complimented the other elements. Addition of chaat masala could've enhanced the taste.

BLT - One of the best BLT sandwiches I've tried. The sandwich was perfectly made with the balanced elements. IT had 4-5 strips of bacon with lettuce tomato and mustard sauce. Tasted beautiful.

Khow suey - You'll get a different version of Khow suey here. They give you entire khow suey in one bowl and I must say the portion size is enough for 3-4 people. They give you crispy noodles in the khow suey which goel well with the creamy sauce. The chicken pieces were a bit bigger than usual but went well with the preparation. It had that coconutty flavor with a slightly spicy hint in every bite.

Butter chicken pizza - The pizza you get here comes with paper-thin flatbread. A perfect crispy edge with a slight soft middle side. The layers were perfect. It had a mild taste of butter chicken gravy which I think can be increased by adding more sauce. The cheese somehow overshadowed the sauce. Other than that it was a clear winner.

Overall Verdict - Tipsy duckling is the best place to try BLT and I'll definitely come back again to try the other things on the menu. We gave our feedback to the chef and he positively took it. Good luck to the team Tispy Duckling.

Finally I have decided to write a review about this place. Yesterday it was my second visit to Tipsy and genuinely it was a huge disappointment. When we had first visited this place ,it was just a week old . I can understand they were working out with their menu . We had given some valuable feedback for the improvement as well. So it would not be appropriate to write about my first visit here. Yesterday , I visited this place along with my friend, after around 10 mins of waiting we got a table. I am huge fan of Bacon so decided to go with the Bacon cheesy fries and they suggested to for some Alfredo cheese balls. We paid Rs.398 for a very small bowl of fries with just a small spoon of cheese sauce drizzled on it with 4-5 small pieces of Bacon on it . Absolutely not worth the cost that we paid . Alfredo ball was again disappointment,it tasted more like a floury balls with cheese in it but the dip / sauce that was given along with it was good. Because of which we could finish those balls. Later we ordered theecha kebeb which was genuinely amazing. Due to Oktoberfest festival, they were not serving hard liquor, but it was ok for me.In my prior experience as well we were happy with their kebeb. We were so disappointed with the quantity of food they served for the price we paid,so decided to skip the main course. Staff and owners were courteous. Service was excellent. Just because of the service and the kebebs I am rating this place as 3 or else it was just worth 2. In my first visit itself we have given them the same feedback about the quantity of food. They seriously need to work on their quantity of the food . We could hear few other tables complaining about the quantity of food .

Off the bat...Good feel to the place. Rather new but retains flavors of my favorite "Ugly Duckling". Add to that a decent selection of craft beers at reasonable price. Worth recommending. Presentation and staff training.. a little polishing may go a long way as far as overall experience is concerned !

Though wished to taste the variety menu, it was not today. Even after waiting for 1 hour, the hostess forgot our booking twice and we had to move to another restaurant. Hope they improve on this and serve better. All the best.

We would have loved to taste the food but After waiting for almost 1 hour , hostess forgot to remember our reservation twice and we have to move to another restaurant.

We would have loved to taste the food. The hostess asked us to wait for 25 min which we did. Later on when we asked her she had forgotten our booking twice. So no review on food or ambience.

Decent ambiance, service and food.

I had ordered chicken ghee roast and mushroom kebab.

The food was good, atmosphere was relaxing and the service was also relaxed, so overall a relaxed afternoon...!!!

Chicken ghe roast was with a twist came with a tangy thick red gravy and lacha paratha, the 0late was good but didn't find any favour of the typical the roast may be they should change the name of the dish or reduce the flavours of the curry and make the chicken hero of the dish. This was certainly missing.

Mushroom kebabs were good soft, juicy and had a filling in it

Might go back to try out some other dishes on the menu, overall average experience and nothing exciting as of now which will make this outlet a special one.

Their sister organization, Ugly duckling was one of my favorite places. So when I heard they've started another one right here in Kothrud, I was ecstatic.
And they did live up to our expectations.
.
We tried-
1) 'Mutton kheema pani Puri with pandhra rassa'. Sounds weird but was surprisingly good.
2) Chicken thecha kebab. An absolute delicacy. Not too spicy and chicken cooked to perfection.
3) Butcher's paradise- one of the best pizzas you'll ever have. Hands down delicious.
4)Multani mushrooms - Their marination was so good that we heard ourselves saying 'shrooms never tasted so good'.
5) Cheese and potato croquettes - a basic bar bite but really tasty
6) Chicken khow suey - the creaminess and the texture was extremely flawless. We were so happy just by tasting the gravy let alone the noodles.
7) Chicken Bunny chow - this classic dish was a little too creamy but at the same time, quite tasty.

Desseets-
1) Frozen hot chocolate - this one has been my favorite and their quality hasn't changed one bit. It's beautiful.
2) Mud cake - a cake which is grainy and a little gooey. Tasted about alright.
3) Cheesecake - A good cheesecake with major flawlessness. But I'd still recommend the Frozen hot chocolate. 😋

Taste - 4/5
Ambience -4/5
.
Follow Taniya for more 🤤

It was a impromptu visit to this place.
And have already planned the next visit.
We were hesitant at first try the chicken pani puri.. but one bite and we thought we should have ordered a plate each...
The pizza was delicious as well with a decent amount of meat.
I was not happy with the offers the place had but the good food and staff compensated for it.
The mocktails can be better..!

Went to tipsy duckling yesterday with office colleagues for a dinner..
The hotel has two sitting arrangements indoor and outdoor..i prefer outdoor..the ambience is great..staff is cordial..staff and ambience get 5/5 points.
Coming to food..ordered starters pesto kebab, barbeque wings, chicken pepper & cheese tikka.. chicken was fresh , juicy tender..the barbeque sauce was well prepared..main course was chicken chettinad and murg musallam..gravies were perfectly balanced, not too bland or too spicy...food gets 4.5/5...Rotis and naan were soft and didn't went chewy or dry even after few minutes in plate..
Saw many people ordering kheema chicken pani puri..sounds new and might b thr main attraction..
Only thing is that the waiting time between staters and main course was too much.. otherwise perfectly recommended to eat and enjoy..will visit again!!
One more good restaurant in Kothrud. All food items we ordered (both veg and non veg), especially Chicken and Shitake pot stickers were tasty. But Chicken Parmesan Fingers were disappointing as we could smell and taste the oil remaining on it. Staff is courteous and ambiance is good. Overall it was good experience.

Had been here for dinner with family. Although the quantity appeared less visually at first, it did fill all our stomachs. My parents wanted to order their usual rice, veggies, roti but I insisted to try the varieties that you offered. Me and my sister enjoyed the food!
Deducting one star because we had to sit in the outer area since the tables inside were booked and it wasn’t very cool outside.
Will visit soon though!

This is a place where you can go anytime to enjoy a great food experience. I visited here for breakfast.

Ambience : A pretty looking place with great music. I am sure the evenings here would be very much happening.

Food : I tried two dishes here. One's breakfast is obviously not completed without an egg dish, so I ordered Bacon and cheese omelette and it was the best omelette that I had in Pune. The egg was properly seasoned and perfectly cooked with soft inside along with adequate amount of cheese and bacon and it was served with Pav and some sauteed mushrooms. It was a delight for me. The other dish that I had was Ratatouille Cheese Melt Sandwich and it was also had decent flavors. All in all, I just loved the food here.

Service : No complaints, it was as per the expectations.

I will surely visit this place for some drinks and to try other things from there food menu. Happy eating !!

Ambience is good. More of outdoor seating. Indoors are also tastefully decorated.

Chairs not very comfortable but good enough to seat for a while and eat. Tables are well spaced. The design of crockery is bit unique. White with few spots. For a moment I was confused if they were some dust particles but they were not.

Reception was good with smiley faces and we were soon shown table.

Food

Chicken parmesan fingers: nice crispy and well cooked. Served with mustard sauce. Taste could be better.

Chicken pesto kebabs: very well cooked and tasty too. Served in nice wooden dish looking like rolling pin carved.

Alfredo pasta penne with add-ons- Vegetables and chicken sausage: very well cooked al-dente , sauce had right consistancy but was bit salty. Quantity of vegetables was less than expected.

Overall presentation was good, service was nice and with smile and cooking was good. (Sorry no photos of food. Proof is in eating it. Nevertheless, all dishes were well presented to tempt you to eat soon)

From tomorrow they will be introducing craft beer. We missed it.

I trust this will evolve into great eatery soon.

This review goes for a brand new happening place 'Tipsy Duckling' near Dahanukar Colony.. A perfect quick meal for kothrudkars and mainly for non veg lovers, this place is here to stay!

Ambience: With their quirky menu cards, their creative coasters and extremely lively ambience it never fails to lift your mood in a very short time...
It has a spread of tables outdoors and a few high tables.

Service: Now let's talk about the service! The waiters are very polite and help you understand the quantity/size and spiciness of the dish if asked by you, which usually new places fail to provide!

Food: Great food is the real deal here... Their chicken tacos, pizzas and nonveg pani puri is much celebrated along with their innovative cocktails. Especially their pizzas, they come with a lot of cheese, satisfying the cheese loving population.

To sumup, there is nothing that needs to be changed in this place, no suggestions or negative points! This place has immediately hit the 'go-to' lists of many punekars with their quirky name and loaded menu card!
Thank you Tipsy Duckling!
If you are looking for a good quality food and service The Typsy Duckling is the place. We sat outside and ordered couple dishes to share, all of them were cooked well and presented well. The waiters are helpful, we asked for prawns to be added in aglio pasta and bacon on pizza which was accepted straightaway. Will definitely come back for the food and good service.

It's for that West Pune is catching up and thank God it is. This place caters variety of food and mocktails. The loaded nachos, chicken kheema with pandhara rassa panipuri are amazing. Mocktails are very refreshing and go well with the siders. Ambience, parking, cost is spot on.

The Tipsy Duckling (Kothrud - Pune): A new entrant in the quiet area of Kothrud but shows a promising growth. A garage converted into a good meet, eat, and chill zone. If visiting in eve or when it's not hot then the outside picnic styles decor is so ideal.

Food: We ordered the Pulled Pork burger, Chicken meatball sandwich, Cookie crumble milkshake, and Paneer Basil Chilli with Garlic Noodles. The food has all the right flavors. Loved the milkshake for being so chocolatey. The Pulled Pork was melt in the mouth too just the sweetness in the sauce needs to be contained (the salad needs some rework). Overall I will go again for a more relaxed time and to try other variety they offer.

Price : All of this amounted to approx Rs.800/- Totally VFM. Since this place is new it will pick up the pulse in time.
.

New place in Kothrud. Nice and cozy place. Well done interiors. Inside sitting is crowded as there is not much place. Food was good and well prepared. Just the service was slow. Overall a pleasant experience!!

Great food and service, would highly recommend...Went there on mothering Sunday... Everything perfect. Such friendly staff. Obviously if there is something more genuine or authentic is very difficult for a first time visitor like me, but my overall experience was very positive.
This newly opened place with a chic ambience is a must visit. Located near dahanukar colony, karve nagar it’s easily accessible and quite easy to spot.
Went here on Friday evening a day after its opening night, and there was a quite a rush. We got our table in a couple of minutes as we had reserved a table.
There is ample of seating available and the place is well lit. The staff here is courteous and friendly. They do know what they serve and helped us with recommendations. It’s quite easy on the pockets as well.
The food part,
We ordered loaded bean nachos which had seasoned nacho chips topped with beans and salsa and quite a big scoop of sour cream! Kebabs here are really good, we had the pesto kebab (as we wanted a change in taste than all the regular kebabs) which were amazing, tender juicy cooked chicken with the pesto dressing to perfection, and served hot. For mains, we ordered the Burmese khow suey and bbq chicken breast in spicy bbq sauce.
The Khow suey surely is one of the best ones you’ll find in the town, I could taste the garlic flavour of the noodles with the gravy which is just perfect. The chicken mains definitely was cooked to perfection with that bbq sauce coating which left the taste buds wanting for more. It was served with mashed potatoes and leafy salad (though I would have preferred sautéed veggies with it).
The food portions were good enough to fill your tummy.
We tried there cocktail range and the I loved the Irish Gaelic over all the others. They’ve quite a few innovative cocktails which are a must try.
Overall experience was amazing, would definitely visit again to try out the rest of the menu.
Kudos!!

The best part about tipsy duckling is that you can eat and drink so much for so little! I loved the food. I had Achari kebab and Parmesan chicken fingers to begin with. They were lip-smacking. A juicy BLT was followed by the starters. I’d totally recommend this place for some lovely food and amazing cocktails! Keep up the good work guys! :)
