Review Hotel Sharvari Restaurant - Pune

Darshan Thakkar (Gangofoodies)
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sharvaree Multi Cuisine Restaurant in Pune, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. This pure vegetarian restaurant offers a wide variety of cuisines, and the quality of food truly exceeded my expectations. One of the standout dishes that I tried was the Mysore Masala Dosa. The dosa was perfectly crisp on the outside and had a flavorful and spicy filling. It was accompanied by a delectable coconut chutney and sambar that complemented the dosa perfectly. The authentic taste of this South Indian delicacy made it a real winner. The Idli Sambar was another dish that left a lasting impression. The idlis were soft, fluffy, and had a lovely fermented flavor. The sambar, with its rich and aromatic spices, provided a fantastic accompaniment to the idlis. It was evident that great care was taken in preparing this traditional dish. Kothimbir Vadi is a dish that I highly recommend. These savory coriander fritters had a crispy exterior and a soft and flavorful interior. They were seasoned just right and had a delightful blend of spices. It was a unique and delicious snack that I thoroughly enjoyed. Lastly, I tried the Thalipeeth, a traditional Maharashtrian dish, and it was a true delight. The Thalipeeth had a rustic charm and was made with a blend of various flours and spices. It was served with fresh yogurt and a side of spicy chutney, which added to its taste. The ambiance of Sharvaree Multi Cuisine Restaurant was pleasant and welcoming. The staff was courteous and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The menu offered an extensive selection of dishes from various cuisines, making it a haven for food enthusiasts. In conclusion, if you're in Pune and looking for a pure vegetarian restaurant with a wide variety of cuisines, I highly recommend visiting Sharvaree Multi Cuisine Restaurant. Their Mysore Masala Dosa, Idli Sambar, Masala Dosa, Kothimbir Vadi, and Thalipeeth are must-try dishes that will surely satisfy your taste buds.

Have been visiting this restaurant for years now and they never seem to have compromised on quality. The menu is extensive and provides plenty of options to choose from including North Indian, South Indian cuisine and chaat dishes. Great food overall.

This is a traditional marathi cuisine serving family place. Ambience is calm and good. Food is also nice. But just one thing which I did not like , They served filter coffee in glass tumbler. For a restaurant like this and pretty well known also place in such posh location. This was odd. Suggestion please serve coffee in either bone china cups or in steel/bronze coffee cups. It gives that look along with flavour to coffee. Rest all was nice and okay, staff was also good and nice serving

This place is very well kept and it has maintained its food quality over the years. The food is tasty with well sized portions (though it has reduced in size in the last 3-4 years). Must try: Kothimbir wadi and Misal Pav. Parking can be somewhat difficult to find. They do offer free valet service though.

I went to this place for dinner last night and was disappointed. The service was really slow and the food wasn't upto the mark . I personally found the place really overpriced . We tried the Chinese starters which tasted very average and wasn't worth the money .
Apart from that I tried the cheese grill sandwich which was really good .

1. Too costly for the quantity & quality being offered.
2. Served a wheat chapati that was probably made in the morning and served us at 21:00 hrs.
3. Nothing special with a wow factor.
4. Delayed service.
5. Rude staff too.

don’t visit this place guys, don’t waste your money for worst food ever. go elsewhere, there are better options available.

P.S- FC being the happening place it is doesn’t necessarily guarantee a good place to eat food at. They are just pocketing!

Super yummy and large size parathas.. Great and quick service and the dish is customised as per instructions which is great.. The prices are a slight on the higher
side but the quality and quantity makes it value for money! Tried aloomethi and cheese paratha.. Both of them were super tasty.. Additionally a spoon full butter , curd and spicy chutney makes it heavenly!!!

Sharvaree is literally one of the best family restaurant. They have a wide range of variety in food items, and everything I've tried till date is good! Their cheese ,paneer and alugobi paratha is magical . Their grilled sandwiches, misal pav and thalipeeth are also damn good . Their Ambience is chill ,music subtle and staff polite hence making it an overall good option

This place serves one of the best maharashtrian thaali! This place is a delight for foodies as well as Maharashtrians!
You get soooo many options to eat and they all tastes good! Staff is very proactive and polite so I love this place for food, ambience and service as well! Plus ₹350 is quiet a nice deal for such a thaali!

All time favorite hotel. Super super delicious food, pleasant ambiance. Good service. Veg cheese grilled sandwiches are really too delicious 😋 😋

Many times online delivery is not available and packing charges are too high. They also charge extra amount for online delivery if you compare with normal menu price.

Hotel interior is Good but Food Quantity is very less than other Hotel & Service is very slow. When food order it come after many times. Order taker also not come quickly. Other hotel 1 food eat more people but this hotel 1 food can eat less people. Average quantity price of food is High comparatively other similar hotel.
This place is good for all kinds of events.
It's a pure veg restaurant that serves really good food.
Must try here -
Thalipeth, Khekda Bhaji, Pithla-Bhakri, Sandwiches.
The ambience is good.
Staff is very courteous.

Place...ambience...food is good...just service of some of the staff is not up to the mark...worth a visit!
sharvari and shabree both restaurants are in the same place. We opted for shabree but it was closed until we reach there. Everything in pune closes in the afternoon. So plan in advance.

Have heard a lot about this place before coming here. What's more we thought to visit this place on guddi padwa, we tried their Maharashtrian authentic thali which included lot many items. Purana Poli, shikhandi, jwar bhakri, pighal etc to name a few. My friends liked kadhi chawal a lot. The thali is unlimited for an individual. It's reasonable in cost and the taste is very good. Overall a very good place to taste authentic Maharashtrian flavors.

Place : Sharvari, FC Road
Food: Thalipith, Misal Pav, Paratha,
Sharvari turned out to be good choice to celebrate Women's day with bunch of enthusiastic friends.
Such a nice n simple ambience with super service.
Both tawa and fried Thalipith stole my heart (can say stomach 😂)
Misal Pav was good. Cheese Paratha was too huge to finish.
Sidies like Thecha both green n red was chatkdar (couldn't think of any other better word)
I am sure it's one of the fav of Punekars and has many stories attached to it. Just like some of us

Located on the FC road above Shabree Thali Restaurant. It's quite a old outlet in Pune. Atleast m luking at it from last 13 years.

It a all day dining place serving breakfast and meals.

We generally order for khekda bhaji (onion), Thalipeeth, kothimbhir wadi, tea.

They also serve Chinese and Punjabi food also. Taste is good and it's VFM.
Tejasvi
Too much waiting time. Quantity very less. compared to the high price. Taste is also not that great.
Only ambiance is good and situated at prime location is the plus point
GauriR
Aloo paratha, onions uttapam and misal are my favourite... I visit this restaurant just to have uttapam and aloo paratha. Don't haven't tasted other items. Service and ambience is good.
The Biker Chef
This place has been my favorite breakfast destination since almost 2 years now .. i make sure whenever i am in a mood to have a lovely indian or Maharashtrian style breakfast i head to this place with no second thoughts..

Well the best i love is the aalu parantha... Its phenomenal and a must try .. the filling is so perfect and the quantity is so generous,..
Secondly i order thalipeeth or masala bhakri ... Both of them are lip smacking good... along with the special tea .. you will have the best of breakfast experience at FC road..
Foodgasmicabhi
This place is situated on Ghole Road which is adjacent to FC Road. Being pretty much popular, I didn't have much trouble to locate this place. Shabree and Sharvaree are like twin sisters but the difference is that Shabree serves pure Maharashtrian thalis while Sharvaree serves breakfast items and Punjabi & Maharashtrian dishes.
Ambiance is really good. Very comfortable, peaceful and good for the families. If you are searching a good place to spend your evening around FC Road, you should definitely check onto this.
I have ordered Cream of Mushroom soup and Patwadi for the starters. Both dishes were really amazing. Soup was very creamy and had a nice flavor of coconut milk in it. You should definitely try it. And the patwadi was equally amazing. Crunchy from the outside and soft & moist from the inside. Both starters are highly recommended. For the main course, I have ordered Paneer Tez and Bharla Vanga. Bharla vanga was quite nice. Spicy and flavorful. But paneer tez didn't appeal me much.
Service is quick. Staff is prompt. Also the serving time of food once you give the order is not much. Prices are pretty reasonable. Little high but not that much. Surely a pleasant experience.
Devika Godbole
Situated on the busy FC road this restaurant has an amazing breakfast buffet. They have a lot of variety fron pohe, uoma, dosa, freah fruits, juices, cereal, etc. Kanda bhaji is really tasty. This a family restaurant and has real good quality food and service.

This is calm and quite place to be here and enjoy homely food.
The ambiance and warmth of staff brings you here time and again.
The speciality here is the thali and also the maharastrian food.

Planning to come at this place since long.
Nice place to have food with calm atmosphere in such crowded area of F.C. Road
A bite expensive then normal restaurant for Punjabi food.
Taste - 4/5
Value for money - 2.5/5
Ambience - 5/5

Mayuresh Fulambrikar
I am writing this review sitting at the restaurant on a Saturday afternoon.
The food quality is Ok. But the service i.e. food delivery to the table after the order is PAYHETICALLY SLOW.

To get 1 pair of 'Pav Jodi', its taking 20+ minutes, order for Punjabi dishes placed 30 mins before hasn't been delivered before.

Rather there is only 1 server serving on the 2nd floor of Sharvaree here and serving more than 30 ppl at a time, I understand his plight.

This needs to be improved. Else it can be safely concluded that this restaurant IS NOT CAPABLE of providing service at peak times..on Saturdays and Sundays.
Jyotsna Badade
Since 2005 I m visiting this restaurant nothing has changed in these years, there are many veg restaurants at F.C. road but l always prefers Sharvari masala dosa is my all time favourite, highly recommend place
Pujan
Worst service.
Managers are behaving rudely.
It was my last visit.
I ordered cheese paratha and they gave me paneer paratha. And they didn't change the paratha. Quality of food was also worst.
Zomato should provide minus rating also. So I can give them in -5.
Gautam Patil
Generally I don’t go to pure veg restaurant, but because of Shravan I went to Sharvaree.
For maharashtrian food I will give 4/5.
For non maharashtrian 3/5.
We had ordered so many things but Patodi was awesome (must try dish) and main course Patodi rassa thumbs up. Do not try any kind of Chinese soup it was bakavas.
Ajinkya Pawar
I personally think this is kind of a underrated place. They've maintained there quality of food and service throughout the years. I've been visiting this restaurant since over 8 years and it's as good as it was then. It's a family restaurant but you can visit with your friends too.
UrviB
We used to love Sharvari for its mouth watering Maharashtrian food!
However, the last couple of times that we visited this restaurant, we were just unhappy with the quality of food, taste and the uninterested staff.
They used to be so much better before. I hope they try and get back on track soon.
Mrageish Sabharwal
Very old landmark place. Pure veg. Famous for their paneer sabjis and paranthas. Their paranthas are best in pune since ages, served with butter and dahi.
Srishti Chopra
Its multi cuisine restaurant where you can try your hands on Maharashtrian food. Bhakri with Bharle Vangi is a great combination. Loved how they served the home style yellow daal. I dint turn out to be a big fan of bakhri as it's very heavy to take in, prefer my staple chappati. May be unfortunately, but I dint turn out to be a big fan of Shrikhand either. But it's a good place for the ones who have the stomach for it. Yet you can surely find better Maharashtrian places in Pune. The service was very average with hasty moments to clear and pay the bill, even though the tables around were enormously vacant.
Kapil Vohra
This place is a complete family restaurant. Overall food is good. Kanda bhajji, fresh fries, tea are some of the must try items. Parathas are very nice. Main course is good aswell.
Kapil Kalyani
This is a multi cuisine restaurant. Spacious and relaxed ambience. Although situated on the busy fc Road it’s very comfortable to be.
The staff is courteous and quick.
Menu options are many. And one can choose from maharashtrian South Indian Chinese breakfast options etc.
I have tried the pav bhaji. Kothimbir wadi. Panner butter masala and veg sandwiches.
Pav bhaji here has its own unique taste not too much of masala and is easy on the spice level.
Kothimbir wadi is served with chutney and very delicious except that the oil quotient needs to be ignored. It’s difficult to settle with one plate.
Panner butter masala is too good. Soft panner and perfectly cooked in the thick gravy.
Lastly the egg sandwich is fresh and perfect spread of chutney and butter.
Do visit this place for the experience.
Vidyadhar Bhave
Food : 3.5
Ambience : 3
Service : 3.5

This place has multi cuisine options... And have tried their onion pakoras before which are delicious, but today I decided to try some bhakri n subzi.
Sarso da saag really goes well with jowar bhakri which is more like a North Indian and West Indian fusion. Zunka (lentil paste cooked with onions and spices) was nice but I have had better.
Bhakris seemed to be machine rolled or rolled using a rolling pin which didn't have the charm of bhakris spread on skillets using palms...
The lal thecha (red Spicy chutney ) is awesome. The green thecha or kharda as referred by some was nice but I personally found it a little low on garlic.

In all the food is nice with friendly service and a decent ambience to enjoy a meal with family or friends ...

When in Pune - try the authentic Maharashtra thali. Love this place for great tasting Indian food prepared traditionally.
The fruit custard in the end was yummy and so was the thali.

Recommend by many , a complete vegetarian 🌱 restaurant located at Ferguson Road, this restaurant serves maharashtrian food and delicious paratha.

It has three sitting arrangements and serves the food at a quick speed. Ambience is simple yet nice.

Loved the Misal Pav 🥖and bhajji.

Taste-3
Service-3.5
Ambience-2.5
Value for money-3
Overall experience-3

Visited this restaurant on FC road this week. This is a place that serves good Maharashtrian snacks and mostly authentic. The quality of food was absolutely great with multiple options to choose from.
Ambience is nice, quiet & comfortable. They have both indoor and outdoor seating arrangement.
Service was quick & good.

I would rate
Food - 4/5
Ambience- 3.5/5
Service- 4/5

If you are looking at having some good North Indian food, this place is a must visit! It is a family restaurant and is usually a little noisy because of the same reason. If it isn’t a hot day, you can enjoy in a peaceful environment and sit in the open outdoor seating. The place is bright with lighting and the food is very tasty. Must haves here are the Cheese Garlic Naan with Paneer Sabzi!. The naan simply will melt in your mouth and the paneer is usually very soft. They give quick service and the staff is very polite. The quantity is good to suffice two people. They do not have enough soft drinks to sip on with the food but Fresh Lime Soda will be a light add-on.

Ratings:
Decor/Ambience – 3.8
Food – 5
Service – 4.8
Variety – 4.5

Worst customer service. Hell of a rude staff. Not at all worth a visit. Management as poor as it could be. If you plan to visit this place god bless you!

Ordered Pav Bhaji which tasted ok.
Also ordered papdi chat which was yummy..
Service is super slow and waiters dont have basic ethics. After making payment through card they just threw the card on the table as if they were doing a favor.
A decent place. My husband and I dropped in to Sharvaree on a whim because we were craving simple maharashtrian food and were too tired to make it. The varan (Dal) and rice was standard. Nothing to write home about. The pithla was good and hot. The kothimbir wadi was however the highlight for us as it was delicious. The matki usal was a bit disappointing as it was a tad bit undercooked and unevenly cooked. Service was fast. Good place to try from time to time
Akshay Jadhav
we ordered, pav bhaji, thali peet, misal pav and coffee. everything was so delicious, even the curd was so nicely set and thick, it goes well along with thali peet. I was pleased with quantity and quality of food items. Misal was well balanced, neither too spicy nor too oily. however we wanted to order lunch thali but it is only available between ~11-3

Price is bit on higher side, but want do you expect on FC road.

I always carve for Indian food and I must tell you this place is one of my favourite places to eat, I have tried almost everything over here but I just have 2 pictures with me I have tried cheese paratha and must tell you this is one of the best paratha I have ever had and where I visit this place this is on my table , I also love the veg biryani and must tell you I loved that also , I have also tried Pav bhaji, misal Pav , cheese butter masala, and cheese garlic nan , I must tell you try all of this they are amazing.

Good Tasty and hygienic food! Perfect destination if you would like to have some great Maharashtrian/South Indian breakfast and a cozy location. Prices are slightly on the higher side.Place is really peaceful and calm and hence a perfect destination for weekend breakfast.
Outdoor sitting option available.
I have been here many times for lunch since it was close to office. The food is high priced here.Mostly we order thalipith here.It is in thier must haves. The thalipith & pithla bhakri is all time saviour.I heard about pav bhaji here but it was not at all worth.Since located on FC road it is generally crowded.Service here is good.
Overall
Food 4/5
Ambience 3.5/5
Cost 3/5
Service 4/5

Food- 3.5
Ambience- 3.5
Service- 3.5

Decent place for hanging out with friends while munching on wholesome and good Indian food. The menu is quite exhaustive in terms of staple Indian and authentic Mahrashtrian dishes. We ordered Paneer Butter Masala along with Tandoori Rotis. The rotis were made of whole wheat and really good. The Paneer was above average. All in all, as expected at an Indian Restaurant.

The ambience is done well in the generic multi cuisine Indian Restaurant sense and quite deceptively has abundant seating capacity.

The Service is quick. Really appreciate the additional masala papad that was served as a complimentary starter. Also had the Jaljeera. It's pretty okay.

Overall, satisfactory and on par with average expectations.
Gayatri Zalte
This is 20+ years old restaurant at FC road. Famous for their Maharashtrian dishes. We visited this place at evening time to try their snacks. We ordered the following
1.Kanda bhaji: reminds me of Sinhagad kanda bhaji. Very tasty and crispy. Slightly expensive but served with good quantity. Highly recommended! Do not compare the quantity to the photo being uploaded with this post. We couldn't resist ourselves and ate some before clicking the picture
2.Pav bhaji: Best pav bhaji on FC/JM road. Though JM road and FC road is famous for pav bhaji joints like supreme, this place serves the tastiest pav bhaji of all. Must try!! Highly recommended.
3.Dahi Misal: This was disappointing. Being punekar you hold high hopes from misal and this didn't match our expectations. It didn't taste bad but you deserve to eat good misal when you are in Pune. This is just not the place for misal.
4.Peru/guava ice cream: the nice creamy texture of ice cream with Peru flavor sprinkled with red chili powder. Very tasty. I have tried this flavor at many places. But this one is best so far. Recommended!!

Dropped here for the brunch and found amazing combination of authentic Maharashtrian dishes as well as South Indian. Great ambience and service. Had थालीपीठ along with dosa and was amazing. Little expensive but must give a try.
Mihir Gupte
Overall they have a limited menu but taste is better than many other restaurants in the same category. They have a good spread of Maharashtrian food. And ample space to dine out.

Today had opportunity to visit this place for lunch. Thali was so tempting delicious, I forgot to capture a photo of it.
Todays thali included Puran poli, ghee, chapati, bajara bhakari, kaware bhakari, sadha Bhat, madhale Bhat, gobi flower sabji, mugachi usal, Karachi Amati, sadhi Amati, papad, Kanda bhaji, palak bhaji, laal thecha , hirava thecha, lonache, koshimbir , papad, pithale , vange sabji. Everything was in purely Maharashtrian preparation.
Service was fast and over all experience was top notch.

For Someone looking for authentic Maharashtrian thali, this is the best place in Pune I have found so far.

I'd been here a few times. Located right around the corner of hippie@heart, situated on the first floor, Sharvaree restaurant is nicely tucked in.

The ambience is very elegant and classy. The service was a bit slow but seems like a proper fine dine.

The food is amazing. I'd tried few paneer dishes along with appetizers. A little bit pricey but definitely worth it.

a) Location:
Located FC Road, just before the Dnyaneshwar Paduka Chowk.

a) What i loved about the restaurant?
The ambience.
Yes, in an area like FC road full of hustle-bustle, one can hardly expect a place to be peaceful. The hotel is located just near the roadside. But despite this, the outside noise doesn't seem to intrude your talks.
Also, there is an option of both indoor and outdoor I loved the outdoor seating arrangement more, it is nice enough to give each table the required privacy.

c) About Food:
1) Last time when we visited, I had gone out with my group of 6. We had ordered North Indian Food. It was good enough but not as tasty as the authentic North Indian Food is.
2) Second time when we visited, I had just ordered a cold coffee. It was not at all viscous. And was very liquid enough. Just near to the viscous level of water. It was not at all thick.

3) Staff:
Second time, wewere a group of four people. We were in no mood to order food as the purpose of the meet was to talk and dicuss. And since we needed the palce; we just went to the nearby Sharvaree. But since the restaurant waiter was staring at us very often, probably he wanted us to indicate that no one can sit in the restaurant without giving order of the food.
Barring that the staff is courteous enough.

With Kalyani Mangave Pravin Nikam

Great service and delicious food! The waiters are courteous and helpul. They described us all the dishes, and the food lived up to the expectations.
The ambiance is good and the prices are very reasonable. The portions are pretty big too.
A great place for a family dinner if you want to try something different from your regular North Indian food.
Cheers!
To a complete novice on Marathi cuisine, this place is the best introduction to Misal vada and Thalipeeth.
I cannot stop raving about their sabutdana vada and sabutdana khichdi: out of the two days that I spent in Pune this was the nicest eatery closest to our hotel, and thank god for that. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Pune for the first time or staying near FC Road.
The location is quaint and the service is warm and friendly. The food is absolutely fresh and yummy! All thumbs up!
Sourabh Mahajan
Cockroaches crawling on the table!
The staff wasnt even apologetic about it like its a normal thing.
Keep this up and you are goimg to lose good customers.

Typical Maharashtrian Dinner!! I loved the food at this restaurant. The fruit custard, pitle and rotis are must try. They do have a good seating and car parking.

Very Good food options. Including Maharashtrian and South Indian blend. Especially Sambar and Chutney is good. Ambience and Location is beautiful. Bit expensive compared to similar restaurant but worth it.

This place also needs no introduction as it's been serving some delicious food over the years..😎
The parathas here are worth a try with other items too..
During my 7 months stay in pune one fix place to go out for breakfast or lunch on Sunday would be sharvaree..😀
It was like 2 to 3 visit in a month for sure..😍😋
Dum biryani served here is also superb.
Missal Pav, kanda bhajji, thalipeet, panner pasanda, pakoda kadi all these items are worth a try.
Pride of FC road and keeping the flag of fc road always flying high😉
Kedar Kakade
The ambiance and service is good. The food, especially the vegetables and dals, leave a lot to be desired. The restaurant tends to be noisy during peak hours.

Hotel Sharvari located on the FC road in front of the junior college gate of fergusson college is a classic dining place ..
Talking about the place , It has a very royal ambience with an indoor and outdoor sitting options ...
Coming to the food ...
Tried pav bhaji , kothambir wadi , paneer masala , tandoor roti , chole bhature ...
The pav bhaji was good
The paneer masala was awesome with perfect taste of masala and capsicum ...
The chole bhature were also good and the best part is that the bhature didnt have much oil when it was served and very good combination of crisp and soft ..
Talking about the service ill rate it moderate ...not that quick and attending ...
Pay your bill either in cash or either in card as they wont accept half cash half card payment even if you request them...
Overall a good dining restaurant and paneer lovers must try the paneer masala and roti ..

We went here for lunch to celebrate one my friend's birthday. But as soon as they gave us table, immediately after 20 minutes the manager forced us telling that give your order fast the hotel is going to be closed.
We were shocked, because if it was closing then why you gave us the table.

Service : Worst of the worst.
Hospitality : Mannerless and don't know how to behave with customers.
Food Served : They brought whole order at once.
The rice, daal, Starters, Rotis, Garlic Naan, Main Course all became cold. We were unable to chew the naan. Tasteless food quality!!!!!!!

Is this how you serve food to all the people.😡😒
Pathetic management really.

Note: Please don't waste valuable time and get insulted.
Suraj Gaikwad

Had a morning breakfast with a good friends company. Unlimited breakfast variety items like dosa, Misal, cereals, bread, traditional maharashtrian preparations were there for a price of 350 PP. Food place for a BF get together. Recommended if u r veg foodie.

Shabree and Sharvaree both make a perfect combination if one wants to have a complete package of South Indian North Indian and maharastrian thali
Both restaurants are located at same place.
Tried Pav Bhaji and plain dosa.
Will rate Pav Bhaji 4/5
Dosa slightly disappointed 3.5/5
Value for money 3.5/5
The taste is similar to other restaurants and didn't find it out of the box.....

After I visited this place, I made mind that I wouldn't want to visit again.. but unfortunately I was dragged there by ppl... again... And I am still firm on my opinion.. I tried punjabi food.. it was priced higher than its worth in taste n portion... Makai di roti..Costs a bomb.. daal fry was lack luster.. menu is very limited.. even sameer 65 I tried yesterday..Told me that मन से नही बनाया था

A place authentic to serve great Maharashtrian vegetarian food is the best definition of this place. Conveniently situated on FC Road, one of Pune's high streets this place to total reckoner for working executives too.

Well placed to visit with family & friends, the staff is well groomed & politely behaved. I've been around since almost they started over decade ago since when they have maintained quality and quantity offered great value to the time & money spent.

Good work guys, you make us feel so nice!

Fine dine but had too bad experience.
Two of our paratha was having hairs stuffed in.
Waiters and managers were so angry.
Bad service and bad people.

This place has become my favorite place on FC road. I had been to this place couple of years back and somehow couldn't make it later. But recently had couple of visits to this place and I definitely prefer this place over Wadeshwar, Rupali and Vaishali (considering the rush at these other places, bad service -especially arrogant, waiting time sucks and so unjustified price to pay).

Recently I tried Pav-bhaji, Veg Crispy, Chinese (chili-garlic noodles), Tawa-Thalepith. Every dish that I ordered was tasty. Especially it came with right temperature, good-enough quantity and overall service was just bang-on. The price for the ambiance, location, taste, quantity and service is worth each penny. Previously I also tried Mysore dosa, veg bhoona , thalepith, kothimbir wadi, upama and other BF items. I always had a great experience at this place with respect to taste, quantity and service and hence no concerns with pocket :) All the seating areas/sections has a nice view and ambiance.

One must try all the Maharashtrian items that are on the menu. Rest of everything is also good, no doubt.

There are very few restaurants I give 5/5 to. And that too I ensure I give it this rating upon multiple visits. Sharvaree is one of such restaurants I have eaten at multiple times. On many occasions I have taken 30 min detours enroute to Mahabaleshwar that I have visited this place for breakfast, such is my devotion to this place :).

I recommend going in groups so u can try multiple items. I have normally visited this restaurant in the morning, once infact at 830 when they open. Apart from summers, thier outside seating is very nice and gives a boaster to your start of day meal. My favourite items here are Aloo Methi Paratha (with a big gallop of butter), misal pav (the best I have ever had), thier thaalipeeth and batata vada. Pick any of the maharastrian item and it's got to be spot on. South Indian dishes are good too and so is thiee filter coffee.

Cannot wait to visit this gem soon!

Food was good compared to quality but not quantity! Also even government made to opt of from service tax they still charge you service tax?!
Kapil Kadam

Awesome food with a hopeless service..
Asked to switch on the AC, they said its not working- After shouting they started it
Ordered Thalipeth, asked for a curd that comes with it, they said "no curd due to strike", they did not confirm it while taking a order, after tasting it v did not like it without curd, asked to cancel it, they said now it cannot be cancelled, had to shout at them as to why they did not informed it while taking order or while bringing the order, finally they cancelled the order..
Asked to call a manager, they said he is not there..
Had to find a substitute of it now

I met my friends here for dinner. It was a nice dinner till the time I heard some noise. I just turned to look and thought it must be a cat or dog that entered the restaurant. But it was a huge RAT that passed by our table and the staff was so cool about it as if it was a usual thing. Not sure about the kitchen now.
It certainly remind me of a movie Ratatouille ! 🐀

Amazing place and amazing food. My family's favourite breakfast place. This place has a wide menu of South Indian, parathas, maharashtrian cuisine, sandwiches etc.
I love the maharashtrian delicacies served here. I'm a personal fan of this cuisine. I love the thalipeeth served here....the best in pune. They have two variations here...the tawa and d fried one. I prefer the tawa version being a health freak. The misal (not very spicy just the way I want) and the kothambir wadi are a must try. The kanda pohe is also prepared in traditional maharashtrian style. Their maharashtrian cuisine is a must try. Amongst the south Indian menu I like the mysore masala dosa. Do try their icecreams...the coffee mocha being my personal favourite.
All in all an amazing place to visit anytime with friends and family alike.
Full marks to the ambience, hygiene and cleanliness.
Though I prefer the outdoor seating to the indoor.
Quality food, quality service, well priced menu cards. Stuffed parathas could be a good choice for a brunch. The Breakfast menu is decent too. The Indian main course dishes are tasty and come in a decent portion. Value for money. Do not forget to carry your Fergusson College ID card to avail a 10 percent discount. (If the restaurant policy still subsists though).

Really good place to have Maharashtrian food.
We had kothimbir wadi, patwada rassa and bajri bhakri. Apart from these had paav bhaji ani methi paratha.
Everything was good. I especially liked paav bhaji ani kothimbir wadi.
Not very costly. Quantity is more than enough and due to this some food was wasted as we were full.
Ambience is good and the location is easy to find.

Chefs special Bhindi fry masala with butter chapati is best main course combination here. This is the only place in Pune where u can get everything you can have in a meal with best taste and quality . The sizzling brownie is great in taste. Good customer service .

Situated in front of Ferguson college is the perfect place for family dining.
Its a multicusine restaurant having north indian, south indian, chinese and some indian snacks like potato vada, misal pav too. Food is good, ambience is moderate, outdoor seating available.
Reasonable with delicious dishes.

This is one of our favourites for buffet breakfast - probably one of the pioneers of buffet breakfast concept in Pune.
We have been here many times and everytime we return satisfied.
Excellent food.
Great service - especially the owner/manager is personally involved.
Nice sit out and inside.
Also on basement they have Jaika ice cream - franchise by same hotel group. So its a great fun we always have.

For the love of maharashtrian food i swear by SHARVAREE. My knowledge of marathi cuisine is limited but that dosen't stop me from loving it any less. I was craving marathi food and my friend suggested SHARVAREE on FC road. though i hardly get to come on this side of the city but i am fairly acquainted with it. So on one of my less hectic days i crashed at sharvaree for its much talked about thaali.

The place was bustling with people, waiters eagerly serving and foodies lavishly feasting. It looked so charming and full of life i couldn't help but smile.

I was comfortably seated on my table and then the cluttering began. In front of me was placed a medium sized thaali with a few katooris (i think that is what its called, correct me if i am wrong😶). The waiters started serving the course and along with that enlightend me about each food item they placed on my thaali. In no time was my thaali filled and looked simply mouthwatering. Thank God i had been taught table manners or else i would have been eating like an animal🤑🤑

Each and every item on my thaali was excellent and tasted heavenly especially the kadhi. Rotis were freshly baked and went well with all the different gravies. Daal rice with pure ghee was excellent but my favourite part was the desserts: gulab jamun and fruit custard i could'nt resist but take around 4 servings each😉😉

To sum it all up outstanding food with value for money.

A simple and decent place to have maharashtrian food.
Things to have:-
Aloo paratha
Tawa thalipeeth
Kothimbir wadi
Misal

Punjabi food is also great. Do try their gulab ice cream.

Ambience is formal. Outside sitting option also available.
THE BAKASUR
Sharvaree – a restaurant that mainly serves maharashtrian style food and concentrates more on the snacks than main course items. I have visited this place quite a lot of times, as it was located exactly opposite to my college on F. C Road. The restaurant has open air section and AC section. The AC Section is of 2 floors, though the top floor is quite small and hardly accommodate a group of 6-8 people. It has good ambience and interiors. The open air section also has comfortable seating with umbrella as artificial overhead. The restaurant also has a small terrace in the open air section. The place is generally filled with families or college students.

In terms of food, the restaurant has some really good paratha’s. The Aloo paratha and the paneer paratha are really amazing. The size of the paratha is quite huge and is good enough for 2 people. The only negative is that the curd given with the paratha is quite less. The Idli and Wada Sambhar are also something that you should try at this place.

At this restaurant I had three favourite dishes. One was the Misal Pav, where the misal is served in a huge bowl, with the dressing of onions, sev, farsaan and tarri, which is a spicy gravy made specially for misal and is a maharashtrian speciality. The dish is quite heavy and filling. The 2nd fav dish is the pav bhaji. The pav bhaji here is really tasty and the taste hardly changes. The 3rd fav dish is the Chole Bhatura. The dish has 2 bhaturas and a bowl of chole. Though the bowl of chole is quite less as compared to the size and quantity of bhaturas.

To end the meal, you can always have the chaas or the filter coffee, which is really tasty.

Note:

1) Cost for 2 people - ₹500 - ₹700.

2) The restaurant is located on the road front, so there is a parking issue.

Cheers!

Hell of a service. We waited more than 15 mins for our second butter roti. Food taste is good but what's good food when it's cold.
We ordered Tez paneer, Kadai Lajawab, Bhakri with butter roti and masala papad.
Tez paneer is not tez at all. Gravy of Tez paneer and Kadai Lajawab tasted just the same.
Pooja Chopda
One of the good restaurants on FC road is this one. We ordered for paneer chill as starters, which was delicious. Going with sweet vegetable, paneer butter masala, butter rotis. Service is little too slow. The outside seating does no good. All you can hear is the road traffic, vehicles blowing horn and people chit chatting. Located at the main road, attracts lots of foodies.

Everything is good at this place. I visit almost every week. Food quality is good, Ambience is good but the staff these days are very rude at times. Its been 8 years I am visiting here and if something like this happens it creates a bad impression on customers.

A great restaurant for a Family and friends to visit. And also a good place to enjoy small parties or get together. A calm and sound venue spot to send time.

Restaurant is good, food is good, ambience is very good..only problem is it is very costly as per the quantity, they charge a lot with respect to the quantity they offer...as we were 6 people and we had to order 3 paneer gravy as it was so less...taste is good we orxered paneer butter masala, raita dal tadka, masala papad, spring role. Only problem is their quantity with respect to rates. Otherwise ambience is really good.

Ordered Aloo and cheese paratha. Aloo paratha was properly served but it was very spicy so people who don't like spicy dishes please avoid it. But on another hand cheese paratha was just awesome where cheese was properly stuffed with small amount of onion giving it a good taste. So cheese paratha is highly recommendable. Service was fine but prices are somewhat high. You should try this place.

Every place has got its speciality... so has this place. It is famous for its parathas. Situated just at the roadside, its a perfect place for grabbing any meal of the day.
It has got both out-door and indoor seating.
The parathas these people make taste like homemade food.
My favourites and must try paratha- Cheese paratha alongwith spicy garlic chutney and curd. You can also try their masala chaach.
Although their service is quite slow but the food is awesome.
and if you are a north-indian then you will love this place.
Ameya Deshpande
Had heard a lot about this place from my friend.... Finally got a chance to visit it....
It is a easily spotted place on FC road , location is good and live.
Tried aloo PARATHA and cheese PARATHA... Aloo was okiesh and cheese was yummy... My friend has said that panner PARATHA is the best... Will try next time.... But not impressed a lot by this place as my expectations were quiet high.....okiesh place to try.... Will not recommend specially to someone....
Food 3/5
Service 2.5/5 slow
Ambience 3.5/5

Mihir Chhatre
Sunday morning. FC Road Pune. A near impossible place to find a restaurant with free tables. May it be Vaishali or Roopali or Wadeshwar, all popular joints are always full.

A quaint hotel on this same road is not nearly noticed enough. Sharvaree offers an Breakfast buffet that not many restaurants offer. The best part, if you visit this place at 8-8.30 am you will find table vacancy quite easily.

The breakfast buffet has quite a few options. When I visited this place it had Cornflakes, Chocos, Fruits, Watermelon juice (one of the best I have had), Poha, Shira, Bread toast, Grilled Veg Sandwiches, Mysore Dosa, Idli, Wada, Misal & Aloo Paratha. Everything is unlimited!

The buffet is setup though they will serve you at your table. The items like dosa, idli, wada is served hot and as you ask for it.

To finish the meal you have an option between tea or coffee. Being a South India restaurant- I would definitely recommend the Filter coffee.

For a price of around ₹250, definitely one of the best breakfast menus available.

The only problem I felt was the menu was repeated. I had visited this place a couple of weeks back and had the same menu. I am unsure if the menu is always the same or they change it frequently.

I recommend everyone to visit this place atleast once.

Went with my daughter who wanted to refresh her college day memories.
We started with a plate of Idly & a plate of Wada Sambar. Certified it tastes the same as many years ago. I did like it, soft, Sambar was delicious.
My daughter went straight for her college day favorite Alu Parantha. Nice and big.
I & wife decide to try Maharashtrian, Misal Pao, and Zunka Bhakari. I am no judge of Maharashtrian food, all I can say they tasted good.
Service was excellent, staff I thought were too many. They were very polite and quick to respond. Place was simple, very neat & welcoming. Price was excellent. Surly good for students.

Do not misinterpret the food by the ambience. The ambience here is so-so. But, the food here is delicious. It isn't exceptionally well presented but somehow it is very tasty. North Indian here is amazing. Also Veg Kolhapuri is an amazing dish here. Order anything here. It is great. Service is average. For food, i would rate it 4/5.
