We went there for snacks & ordered Idli Medu wada, Onion Uttappa in our first visit and paper masala, paneer sabji, puri plate and coffee in our second. The taste of Idli Wada , was awesome, Sambar and coconut chutney was so delicious as compared to other restaurants. There is separate sitting for family. Staff is friendly. The prices are low as compared to others.

We went to have a breakfast at this restaurant. Ambience is okay. There is separate sitting for women and family. It's not that huge sitting area but atleast they have sorted it out. Talking about their food then we were amazed to taste their food. It was so tasty. We had ordered Onion uthappa, idli Vada dip and tea.Very very good sambar and coconut chutney and more than enough tea quantity. Guess the final bill? It was just 160 Rs. Pls don't go for big name and ambience if only taste and quality matters you. Do visit.

Located in the heart of the city, this can be a quick stop to fulfill your hunger pangs. I ordered Vegetable cutlet and cheese onion utapamam .The taste was good . The vegetable cutlet stole the show as it can be a good option to your regular breakfast menu. Parking atleast for 2 wheelers is not a problem. All in all a good place to chitchat with your friends and munch good food.

Its old south Indian family restaurant on Tilak road, Pune You can have North Indian, Maharashtrian food stuff too. Variety of dishes they served with moderate quantity. Qualitywise and pricewise also affordable restaurant. Food lovers must visit this restaurant once..

Nice place to have dinner. Affordable rates and service is very good. You will cost 200 to 300 per person to have lunch or dinner. Overall nice place to eat.

Walking into Apsara is a trip down nostalgia lane.

It is so so typical of the restaurant we have all grown up going to - with parents, friends - especially college friends, siblings, dates,... the list is endless!

The cacophony of the clatter of utensils, the murmur of a diverse crowd, the serving attendants in khakhis, the clean-up attendants in their greys, a napkin slung over a shoulder... It's back to childhood...

...the semi-crisp, Masala Dosa with the typical filling of aloo ki sabzi served with a small katori filled with hot, delicious Sambar and another filled with spicy white coconut chutney; the distinct flavour of green chilly, subtle yet powerful,

...the Onion Cheese Uttappa, covered with grated cheese decorated with a hugh blob of Amul butter,

...the crisp, wafer-thin, Rawa Masala dosa, filled with aloo ki sabzi..

...all these washed down with a sip of Thums Up or a glass of refreshing, thick, sweet Lassi!

Apsara restaurant is located in one of the prime areas of Pune, where the crowd almost never sleeps, where you have a college at a stone's throw away, two prominent national banks, a large bus stand and a huge prominent park.

Would love to visit the restaurant a lot more frequently just to recall the good ol' days! 😘

Good place for south indian food. Must try shrikhand puri and cheese dosa. It is cheap and good place . One of the best hotels in pune . Must try
Kedar Barve
This place is one of the oldest hotels in that area. Situated at tilak road, hirabaug chowk, it has advantage of central location.

The ambience is very simple yet clean. It has typical udupi hotel flavor that you see in such hotels as soon as you enter. I feel this place is underrated for it's food - consistent taste, good portion size etc. only because of it's simple ambience & regular routine menu.

The upma, coffee & onion uttappa are awesome here.
The staff is experienced & trained though not very friendly, however will ensure you get your things promptly.

Not too heavy on pocket. Will be visiting again & again for sure :-)

*Though not dared to try their Punjabi menu yet!

I used to frequent this place when I was little, a small treat when we'd be close by. I love the simplicity in the atmosphere and the lovely food served here. It's great for those who like their South Indian cuisine and for those who like their North Indian fare as well.

Pocket friendly restaurant.. situated in the heart of Pune on Tilak Road near Swargate at Hirabag Chauwk.. Restaurant is always crowded with professionals.. It is good for snacks
Salil Tamboli
Apsara restaurant located on Tilak road is one of the oldest and established restaurant in the middle of Pune, close to Sarasbag, Swargate and Hirabag Ganpati.

This place is always crowdy with govt officials work surrounded to the hotels it has two divisions smoking and non smoking. They serve good pocket friendly food, mostly for middle class families and those who attached with Apsara hotel from 80's.

The Best place for Onion Uttapa Without chilli and Kami Kanda 😂
Slurp Up Chai Like Sarkar Raj and no one Gives a Flying Duck..
Lots of Memories attached to this Place.

Visited this place for a quick bite. It is located on Tilak Road and cannot be missed. The interiors are simple and decent enough. They have a separate section for family seating.

Ordered an Onion Utapa and a Sada Dosa. Both the dishes were accompanied with Sambhar and Chutney. Sambhar was nice and had a tangy taste to it whereas the chutney was a bit bland. The Dosa was a bit oily and okayish in taste. Onion Utapa was a better option to choose!

The total fare came to 100₹ which is fair enough for a quick snack.

Used to be my favourite breakfast place when used to go to play table tennis at Hirabaug. I liked there upma and coffee.

Service and ambience both are ok.

Eventually for a lunch I have to visit this place. The place is cosy and overcrowded. Ambience is pathetic. Staff are trained but not professional.

Now Coming to food. I ordered aloo Gobi, palak paneer with chapati. Trust me I got both the dishes with the big portion. Both dishes are superb.

It's a pocket friendly restaurant. I don't have any idea about bar. My complete rating is based on taste of food, portion of food and price of the food.
Santosh Poojary
If the same restaurant would been rated in comparison to mumbais udipi joints this would have scored below 2. If you do want to try u can try the south indian snacks rather than punjabi ones which will all taste the same.
Apsara special pav baji would be ko for ones you would want to have something else.. Although this is not that bad but certainly not for someone who wants to have good special food.

A nice n cosy place for some alone time!!

This eatery on Tilak Road near Swargate should be a must-try for them who want to keep the affordable tag to their platter! Serving almost everything an 'Indian' would want to have as Lunch or Dinner this eatery maintains a a good ambience. The staff is well mannered and the service is fast if not lightning fast! The portions are generally huge and absolutely value for money without compromising on taste or quality! Having detailed the above I must recommend this place to all around this area to try this place out (if you have not yet ;) ) as of me, I was a guest to this city and I must say that I was delighted and I strongly believe that you will also have the same impression once you have been there, at least once!!

No ambience,no decor. Food is alright though. Serves the purpose if you just want to have something and there's no other option available. I tried Punjabi food which was ok.

you can visit this place only when you run out of options... one of the average places to eat...would be the best way to describe this place.... the food is strictly ok ok types.... we ate punjabl food is palatable and south Indian food better.....
my suggestion would be.... head towards deccan...
