A good place to explore the authentic chhatisgarh snacks. The intention to build this place is to showcase culture and Chhattisgarhi home food which is truly impressive. There are a variety of snacks items at very reasonable prices. However this place needs proper maintenance and good service. There was a power cut during our visit on a rainy evening, without back-up it is difficult to enjoy low light dining areas. It could be a young hangout place if properly maintained and advertised.

Beautiful and enriching place. The food is amazing, makes one wonder as to why on earth are fast food options so preferred when we have such amazing desi platters. The atmosphere was cheerful and a mix of rural tribal decor. The seats and tables, doors. The food was served warm and people made us feel welcome here.

I had eaten a 100-rupee thali there at Gadh Kaleva. The taste was good and suitable for all age groups. Ambiance was also good and green. Everyone should go there and taste the famous Chhattisgarhi vyanjans.

I can visit this place anytime😍. This place is so amazing to have Chhattisgarhiya good and snacks🙂. I love to go there and there is no dish which you will not like. Everything is so delicious 😋 and amazing 🤩. Must try everything and range is also good. This place is very quite and calm one can come and enjoy with friends and family🤩. Everything served here is with green and red chutney both chutneys are delicious and spicy 🔥 . You will never had this type of food and chutney 😍.

A really good place to go with family or friends to enjoy Chhattisgarh food. The atmosphere is good and the service is good. Although it might become slow on busy days like weekends because of the crowd. Food is great and really affordable. The seating and artwork are cool. Overall, 4/5 place. Would recommend.

This is one of the good outlets in Raipur to taste real authentic chhattisgarhia cuisine. Run and managed by women work force that add real taste. The ambience is green with state artifact's and culture well depicted, but no more maintained which leaves bad impression, secondly it is a humble request to the management to maintain cleanliness and hygiene. Service is quick. Good for family and friends with good varieties of snacks and one can enjoy authentic thali available at lunch only.

Using nature as its ambiance...quality food and clean...there is also a kulfi seller nearby...he's disabled..do support him...I had pan flavor.

Good place..But the hygiene level is very low here..I don't know this place is of govt or private but the owners are not putting any effort to make it look better. Best place for Chhattisgarhi Food my Favourite Chila

Good atmosphere of Cg culture. Got friendly service, great menu choices and really decent food and at affordable prices. But The place must maintain more hygiene and cleanliness. And quantity of chairs near tables should be increased.

Traveling to Sambalpur. Took flight from Bangalore to Raipur and had 3 hrs to explore before catching bus. Googled and got to know about Gadh Kalewa. Lovely food. Really liked it. Tried Chilla and Sabudana Vada. Not familiar with other Chattisgarhi dishes. Could be helpful if there was a combo or something to try out few more dishes. Ambiance was nice and fresh. Overall, good experience.

Good food quality and authentic elements and taste of Chattisgarh. The ambience of this place is quite tribal which gives a unique feeling of sitting among local crowd and enhances your experience of enjoying your food. I ordered my favourite cuisine Urad Vada and Farra and they were pretty crispy and awesome.

A delightful experience for those coming from outside Chhattisgarh. This place serves authentic local food at reasonable price. It is run by women's self help group and they do take care of hygiene. Sitting space can be an issue if you visit at peak hours.<br/>My favorite dishes are Urad bada, Dhuska and Fara.<br/>One must visit here to encourage such spaces.

I ordered for 2 thali through tomato but received one. It was said that they received order for 1 thali however amount of 2 thali was deducted from my account. Neither Gadh Kalewa nor zomato supported in this regard.

The food remains really good with the exquisite local flavours and touch but nothing too extra ordinary. The seating needs to be worked upon a bit. I don’t think there is anything in this place I don’t like. This place has convinced me to write a review on zomato rather after so long. It serves authentic Chhattisgarh food and I guess that’s the beauty of this place. I almost keep it cheela and Madha phetha as a daily breakfast I’d say. The farra very delicious. I'd also recommend the sabudana wada,it was loaded with spices and herbs. A must try. The chutney complemented with it was one of the best chutney's I've had.

Taste was good of fhara,vada,chela but they are charging higher price on zomato than actual price at restaurants plus taking lot of time in preparing food. First they didnt accepted the order automatically than Zomato delivery boy placed the order and they took atleast 30 minutes to prepare 1fara,1vada and 1 chela.

One can get real taste of chhattisagadhi foods here. Ambiente is awesome, its open garden with Bustar art. This place is run by native chhattisagadhi women. They are pure by heart but so busy in there jobs. So don't expect extra attention and services. One can get services by asking for that.

Eager to sample Chhattisgarhi cuisine, my mum and I went to Gadh Kalewa with very high expectations. We started off on a slightly bad note because the counter was chaotic, with the menu written only in Hindi, with absolutely no explanation as to what each of those things was or how it was special. I tried asking, at the counter, which was which but they shouted random words, which I didn't understand and didn't seem to be helpful at all, while they were taking 3 orders at the same time with no queue system, whatsoever. Finally figured out that there's a thali, so we ordered one of those and some fried things, which I have little idea what they were. I also have to mention that the whole thing seemed unhygenic because they dropped the note that I gave them into some pickle jar of sorts, from which they were serving people. And, they served my fried vadas and pakodas on two plates which they kept one on top of the other and the dirty underside of one plate was touching the food underneath. -_-<br/>Anyway, coming to the food. There was one dark brown fried flat thing which was made from lentils and was quite nice, with a starchy stuffing on the inside. There was no chutney offered with it, which made it hard to swallow, by itself, but we managed to get some spicy chutney from another counter. Then, there were some small fried golden-brown balls which seemed absolutely tasteless. Then, there was something which seemed like the child of dhokla and idly, which was even more tasteless than the balls, if that is possible. The thali had rice, dal, kadhi, some usli, a tomato & peas subzi, some roti, some white flat thing like a puri and some kheer. It was quite decent and was definitely worth the 100 rupees that we paid for it. We had no idea what the white puri was but we dipped in into the kheer and that was an amaazing combination, though I doubt it was the intended one.<br/>The saving grace of this place was the ambience which really brings out the Chhattisgarhi-ness of the place with wrought iron Bastar art, everywhere and a rustic feel.<br/>I recommend that, if you want to go here, make sure you go with a Chhattisgarhi, who can help you pick your food and tell you what it is.

Well this is a typical CG Food place with simple n awesome open ambience under the trees where you can chat with u r friends and family and definitely will get a good authentic taste, I have visited this place more than couple of times but the r a couple of points which I didn't like 1st being the coupon counter is very hotch potch and unorganised and also the service is not fast or up to the mark, cleanliness is something which they can improve , self service make you again n again go to the counter and order food which takes time as its very crowded all the time, don't go on Sunday evening as its super packed,, other wise it's a good place to be n enjoy the authentic taste of CG fara , cheela,gul gul bhajia, Anarsaa and sabudana bada is something to try out for sure.. A good 3.5 from me..
