Review O'dam - Ranchi

The place was quiet and so comforting. You will get a wide variety of dishes. The lights and ambience are nice. We ordered my favourite iced latte and a mocktail, dumplings and of course the sandwich. Everything was good. The place is a bit pricey but worth a try.

Good place , good food , we had Thai chicken satay , watermelon ball , virgin mojito and chicken tikka wrap. Everything was tasty but the place is expensive and the portion size is less. Service was quick

A hidden gem of Ranchi, I am really sorry for myself that I discovered it just now. Great ambience especially the choice of music - for a change this is a place where you will get to listen to the songs of the legends whose posters are there unlike other places where John Lennon is smiling to the tunes of Bollywood 'rap'... The service is impeccable, fast and accurate. Now the food - very rarely you get a place where food from all the genres are equally good, O'Dam is ONE of that place. We ordered - chicken momo , spicy salmon sushi and pita with hummus and Falafel as appetizers. Virgin mojito and Watermelon balls were accompanying that. The main course consists of aglio e olio and grilled prawn...both were plate scraping good.... We signed off with fried ice cream there was a twist in the that ...it came in rolls ...that was tasty too... All in all a very good dining experience 👌

I just love this place. The best cafe in Ranchi. It's a great discovery for me at Ranchi in the last 2 months. The music played is lovely. Great collection of books. And food is lip smacking. Will love to spend more time here

It's underrated! Best hotel in circular road and lalpur. You can play games, sit as long as you want, ambience is of vintage, retro style.

O'dam is a very aesthetic and Instagram friendly cafe, located at the heart of Ranchi. They are one of the very few places in the city serving authentic global cuisine!! We tried a couple of dishes and were blown away by the taste! The quantity was also quite filling!! Dishes we ordered are Chicken Ginger Scallion Dimsums, Golden Fried Prawns, Phuket Fish, Chicken Lasagna, Watermelon Balls, Cold Coffee, Tiramisu and Affogato! Each and every item tasted delicious and we kept craving for more, even after our tummies were full! This place is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! If you're in Ranchi, do not miss this. Trust me, you'll fall in love with this cafe!!

Lovely ambience and very good food and service

A nice place to sit and chat and have a bite. The menu is varied and suits all palates. We had Korean fried chicken and Chiken in lemon grass. Both were excellent. The onion rings were not so good. Suggested some improvements. The sweet cigarette sticks in place of saunf at the end were nostalgic!

I'm in love with the menu, it has a vast variety and the food was excellent. The service was also good. Ambience was comfortable and a good place to celebrate a birthday or have a small get together. It's a little bit pricey but it's worth it.

It's a nice cafe and restaurant to hangout with your family and friends. The vibe is awesome and the interiors as well as exteriors are beautiful that give a pleasant experience. The food is tasty and there are varied options to choose from. The staff are also very nice and accomodating.

The variety of food is amazing . Specially liked the pad thai noodles. In desert we had tiramisu which was amazing

For all the people wo love to eat in a restaurant with beautiful view , this is the place for you. I have visited this place everytime I plan for rock garden. Food was decent, they have games as well and books for the book lovers. Give the place a try and plan on tour next visit

Had am amazing time at O' Dam! Already been there twice in a week, in the newly opened Lalpur Outlet. The place has great ambiance and the staff are polite and hospitable. Food and Drinks too are of fine quality. Loved the Dimsums, Wraps and specially liked the Tiramisu. Very few places in Ranchi serves Great Tiramisu! They play nice music (again very few places in Ranchi have nice English songs). Overall had a Great time!

Great place, good food, pleasant environment. Food maybe a bit on the expensive side but food quality is high. Good views of the capital from the restaurant windows.

Loved the place♥️ it's located in rock garden itself. The place with it's ambience, indoor games and books is totally amazing. You can hangout with your friends family and even alone with a coffee on one hand and book on another. Service is decent only the downside is it's price that can really hot some people down to no to this place. But trust me the taste and quality of food is worth it. Must try here atleast once. My preference is try the American BBQ platter.

Terrible service! Not only the food items seemed to be a bit off-taste but also the portion size didn't match the quality of a standard restaurant.

Cost: INR 295/-<br/><br/>We ordered Veg. Penne Alfredo (White Sauce pasta) which was not that bad but I find it a bit pricey for the kind of taste they served. The cafe was empty despite having nice ambience, only we were there. One of their shortcomings is NO " card payment" which they can improve in future I guess.

Order: 1 Veg Platter, 1 Garlic Bread with Cheese.<br/><br/>Cost: INR 498/-<br/><br/>Pros: Very decent ambience, interior done nicely, ample seating space and a good dine-out point where you can enjoy a decent view of the Rock Garden. Not to forget the books and the board games available.<br/><br/>Cons: The poster - "Cash Only" greets you at the entrance. It simply means we'll charge whatever we want w/o paying taxes. The items in the menu are overpriced. I got 4-5 paneer pieces, 1 spring roll (sliced in half) and some noodles for INR 325/-. A bowl of ketchup, that too only tomato was served post request. Since no other decent dine-out place is available in the vicinity, people do flock this restaurant to get a decent view of Rock Garden outside while enjoying a cup of tea.

One has to pay extra 30 bucks for the park entry if you arrive before 7 pm. The desserts are very bad, I’ve tried almost all of them. There is no digital payment possible, card or paytm!

This is the most stunning cafe in the city overlooking a dam. The menu is very interesting and anything you order tastes good. The sandwiches, pizzas to mains like the Jamaican jerky chicken, the food is to die for. The ambience is brilliant. For anyone into music, the detailing is amazing. The music playing in the cafe is great and so is the art work on the wall- Michael Jackson’s moondance, to Coldplay tracks, to a Pink Floyd wall. There is a variety of books and the large windows with so much green outside will just want you to sit there for hours to read, especially because they have great coffee too! And then there are board games you can play if you’re there with family or friends. I’ve taken multiple people who are visiting from bigger cities here and the food selection, quality and menu are at par with anything you’ll find in the metropolitans. The hosts themselves are almost always there to guide you through everything available and make you feel very welcome. I’ve also got food delivered from here and the packaging keeps everything intact. All in all, this place is a must visit!

Been here twice. The first time was amazing. Brilliant Chicken Golgappa,Pizza,Quessadilla and Tiramisu. The Oreo Shake was excellent as well. The second time was horrible. Spaghetti was unseasoned and oily. I also ordered a mezze platter in which everything except the lamb was good. The lamb was infact undercooked. The saving grace was that they replaced it with chicken strips.

The place is well situated on the Top of Rock garden. The ambience is super cool and nice decorated with a pop art,The music which was playing was very romantic at the same time very energetic. It felt like you have stepped outside the hustle and bustle of the city. Coming to Food We ordered a veggie burger which was nicely presented and it tasted super awesome. The one thing which was a little disturbing at did not have a cards swiping machine and Above that the bill was with out a GST number.

I had good things to say about this place before. But my experience today will lead me to re-evaluate my reviews. I ordered a non-veg pollo piccante pizza with Coke. The pizza was very very sparse with toppings - and here I am comparing with authentic pizzas that I had in Italy, not the American variety. Extra paid toppings of jalapeño resulted in 4 small pieces of jalapeño peppers. So for a thin piece of 10" flat-bread with questionable cheese (spread, it appeared from the taste) and limited chicken pieces, I paid a princely sum of INR 435. Mind you, no condiments were sent with the order.<br/><br/>The 300 ml Coke can was charged INR 85 (MRP 35), a mark-up of 142%. O'Dam Cafe is definitely not a star-category restaurant, nor did I have it at the restaurant that I have to pay overhead cost.<br/><br/>I am severely disappointed with this restaurant's unfair practises. You lost a patron today, O'Dam.

Costing according to food is overrated and too Much! A good ambience and friendly environment with the view of dam. Good place for a romantic date and friendly hangouts, but the quality of food ain't that great to fulfill expectations. One can try once!

This place offers a variety of cuisines and is a rare find in the city. If you're someone who likes to eat more than just Chinese, this is the place to be. Also, I keep coming back for Smoked BBQ chicken wings. Absolute favorite.

My favourite place to hangout in Ranchi. I love the ambience the music n most importantly the food. Plus they have all these amazing novels to read which is not avialable elsewhwere in Ranchi. White sauce pasta made here is my fav. Chicken wings is also something people should try. the staff is also very friendly.

Pricing is reasonable for the quality being offered- one pays double the price for the same quality stuff in metros.. visited several times, quality amazing and the same always.

Finding this place on a random visit to Rock Garden was probably the best thing that could have happened that night. The ambience is so amazing. They have books, board games, the perfect lighting, and rock band posters all over the walls. The food was too good; way beyond expectations. Definitely going back to for the pastas. If you like Italian food or want a peaceful place to sit, sip blissful coffee and read books, this is your go-to place.

This was one place that I was excited about even before they opened.<br/>A cafe in its truest sense, O dam! is set in a beautiful location inside the rock garden.<br/>We dined with them back in October and I have been waiting to review them for SO long since there weren't on Zomato till now!<br/>To be honest I don't remember the names of all the dishes I had, but we had a non vegetarian Mediterranean Mezze platter, the prawn starter and a fish mains. All of the items were true to their names. The taste and cooking was spot on. They promise authentic American, Greek, Italian, Mediterranean and Mexican and they actually deliver.<br/><br/>We tried the kiwi drink and popcorn latte. Kiwi was spot on.<br/><br/>The cherry on top was the blueberry pudding in a jar. 😻<br/>Glorious is the word!<br/><br/>The ambience inside was beautiful. You could grab a book and find a cosy corner to read. The only complaint I had was that the music was LOUD. Like blare in your ear loud. So reading in peace was ruled out.<br/><br/>But, a perfect spot for a nice date!<br/><br/>To be honest.. The menu is a little pricey. Worth it, cos it's the only place in Ranchi where you get such a perfect cafe experience. But 3500 plus for 3 people was a bit heavy on the pocket.<br/><br/>

Yumm food and the ambience makes it so much more better! This is such an exotic cafe. Located right inside Rock Garden.. the view the spectacular and the interiors breath taking. I had an amazing time here. Cozy interiors in perfect contrast to Ranchi's chilly weather. A must must must try!
