Review Emaho Cafe - Rewalsar

A. B.
Emaho cafe operates on the grounds of Drikung Kagyud monastery which has no Google maps entry as of now. The cafe has the best coffee in town with freshly ground beans and double shots upon enquiry. We stayed in Drikung Guesthouse which is mainly managed by the Emaho barista guy, a simple structure, images attached, hot water on left tap after one bucketful. The Drikung Monastery mainly is small boys in robes looked after by very few, if at all, adults.

A cafe overlooking Rewalsar Lake and it might be one of the places which offers food with a nice view. I ordered yak-cheese veg sandwich, carrot cake, blue-berry lemon cake, banana pancake with coffee & tea. Yak-cheese is far better than usual processed cheese but it may not be much likeable to many palates. Cakes are their speciality and somehow they justify it.

I so loved the time that I spent at this beautiful, cozy and quaint place. The restaurant is run by monks of the adjoining Monastery. They are always ready to help and interact with thr customers. The foods served is great and tastes great. The view from thr restaurant is great and is good for taking photographs. Location wise this place is very convenient. I loved this place and would definitely visit again.

Merveilleux :-) Such a nice, laid back and idealy located place. Whether you're a plant, a dog or a biped, you'll enjoy it. The food is not only tasty and veggie, it is healthy and affordable. You can also buy environmental friendly souvenirs : nice tibetan handicrafts or some postcards. (Oh and please leave me a bit of carrot cake or banana cake !)
