Great place! Delicious food and wide choice) Banana Nutella pancake is marvelous! As a big pancake fan I highly recommend to try it) Pancakes only till 12:30 (breakfast time). Main menu is also awesome. Portions are big and taste is super good)

Located in Upper Tapovan near Zostel & The Hosteller. It is a bit far from main Tapovan Market, that street above might look haunting at night if you go solo. Found it overpriced and portion size is also less. Pizza took a lot of time to get prepared and was not good. Tried 3 items from their menu - 1. Chinese Vegetarian Sizzler (INR 320) - Liked it, small portions of Fried Rice, Noodles, Chilli Paneer, Mushroom 2. Big Mama Mia Pizza (INR 350) - Not recommended at all, no taste, cheese was also not good 3. Fresh Lemon Soda (INR 70) - Very refreshing, Must try Washrooms are available in the back side. Date of Visit - 20th November, 2023

"Bistro Nirvana is a hidden gem that never fails to impress. I recently had the pleasure of trying their Hummus Pita Platter, and it was a taste of perfection. The hummus was creamy and flavorful, and the warm pita bread was a great accompaniment. It's an ideal appetizer or snack. But that's not all; their Mexican Quesadillas are a delightful surprise on the menu. The cheesy goodness oozes out with each bite, and the mix of flavors and textures is a true delight. Whether you're a fan of Mexican cuisine or just craving something unique, these quesadillas are a must-try. The atmosphere at Bistro Nirvana is cozy and welcoming, making it a perfect spot for a casual meal. The attentive staff adds to the overall pleasant dining experience. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu. Highly recommended!"

Best part of this place is- They are PET FRIENDLY… it was a real tough time searching for a place where we could take our pet dog along with. Called them and they confirmed that they are indeed pet friendly and pets are allowed in the open air area. They were nice to my pet and they also honoured our request to give him a couple of boiled eggs to eat.

This is a go-to for many of the students doing their yoga teacher training @ Yoga Vidya Mandiram (right next door). I became a bit of a regular during my training in Rishikesh and tried quite a few drinks and dishes here. I recommend the biscoff cheese cake 👌, it's really good. The food is awesome, in general. I ordered a normal cup of coffee twice, and both times, they gave me coconut milk (I didn't want dairy) at no extra charge! It's a place where you can feel quite chilled and at home. The staff are easy to befriend. Really cool guys. I felt so warmly welcomed every time. Thanks for making my stay so much more wholesome, Nirvana! Hopefully, I'll be back again one day.

Good food, great service, cozy ambience with just the right level of lighting and good music...what more could one ask for??? That's what Bistro Nirvana is all about, in a nutshell! This bistro has both, indoor and outdoor seating, and is very cool place to hang out. The indoor seating is very unconventional, as the sofas that face each other on either side of a table, are placed edge to edge. Hence, with no room to let your legs hang over the edge, you will need to either sit cross legged or outstretch your legs on one side, as there is no scope to rest your feet on the ground. Enjoyed the twist in the seating, because it is one of a kind! The pasta is great - a must try, and the Blueberry Cheesecake is also good. The Veg. burger, although made of very fresh and soft buns, is average. The patty can be crispier and overall tastier. The staff is pleasant, energetic, enthusiastic and very honest too. Although we dropped some currency notes a couple of times, different staff members pointed it out to us and one of them even picked it up and handed it over. The only dampner is the road leading up to this place; it is quite bumpy and uphill. If you are on a bike, you will be a bit stirred up by the time you get there. However, the experience thereafter is nothing but pleasant and worthwhile. We will definitely hit this place again the next time we are in Rishikesh, mainly for the Pasta, desserts, ambience and overall experience!

Food and environment was very good. My suggestion the people visit would be if you are in four wheeler park your car on main road ( don’t go all the way to the restaurant).

From the moment you step inside, you are greeted by a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. The café's cozy interior, adorned with tasteful décor, creates a pleasant environment for patrons to unwind and enjoy their meal. The friendly staff adds to the overall positive experience, providing attentive and prompt service with a genuine smile. Aside from the delectable food, the café also offers a serene and picturesque outdoor seating area. Nestled amidst the natural beauty of Rishikesh, patrons can enjoy their meal while taking in the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. It's the perfect spot to unwind, soak in the tranquil atmosphere, and enjoy a moment of relaxation.

The Best thing about this place isn't the ambience or the taste but their service 🙌 Undoubtedly a must visit place of Rishikesh.

The little place has quite a boho indie vibe, serves great food and has very hospitable staff. Situated under a canopy of push green trees, the cafe has a soothing breezy charm. Would highly recommend everyone to pay a visit!

Unprofessional people.

The place is really beautiful, ambience is lovely. Food is average for the kind of popularity it has. The staff is fun and the area in which the place is located is really nice. It's like a hippie village in the mountains. I tried house burger and banoffee pie - both the items were very average.
Hungry Amigas
Ordered saint veg burger and banofipie. Very nicely done with chic interiors. Towards ram chulla (around 1 km), up the hill.

Beautiful place and great breakfast offered.

Place is nice. I had three meals there and what I think if u r not a picky eater you can try variety of foods here. Seating arrangement is very comfortable. First meal what we had was special pahadi mutton curry (which was nice)nd chicken keema paratha (average in taste).
Second meal I had chicken biryani which was basically a chicken pulao with no taste nd other dish I had was tandoori chicken which was average.
Zyan Kwan
Lovely ambience outside, we went with our dog and they let us sit outside with him. The food was amazing. Taste was lovely and authentic. Staff was cheery and friendly.

I love the atmosphere, I love the food! If you are looking for meat in Rishikesh... go here! If you are like me and don't eat meat... still go here! All the food is great and it is a nice place to chill. It is off the regular path and worth the extra walk. I like their lassi's better than anywhere else. For example the mango lassi isn't crazy sweet like everywhere else you get them. They are just sweet enough and still have a little tang to them 👌🏼🤙🏼❤

A destination for food and happy hangout. Location itself elate the mood even before you enter the place. Evening outdoor dining where a candle witness your dining is amazing.

If you are in Rishikesh and you miss out on this place, you'll be at the greatest loss ever!
Bistro Nirvana is a gem. Their ambiance is cozy and comfortable and dimly lit. The service is good, the waiters are sweet and friendly and their food is the boss! It's literally so so good. I went there twice in my time in Rishikesh and had the very best experience!
Their Keema Naan is to die for, the tandoori chicken momos were spicy and full of flavours, their chicken Tikka pizza is loaded with chicken and is beyond amazing, their pahadi mutton is so delicious that you'll not be able to stop eating even after you're full, their dal tadka was a delight, the chicken malai Tikka and Veg Seekh kebab were the perfect starters and the banoffee pie was so yumm. These were the things I was able to try and I literally wanted to go to this place over and over again! If I could I would give it 10 stars! Really stole my heart!

Nice looking and relaxing place, tasty food and very nice waiters. Went there every day of my vacations in Rishikesh. Wish I could find places like this everywhere.
Dr Sandipan Chowdhuri
One of my favourite places in Rishikesh. This is one of the very few places serving non vegetarian food. Chicken momos are yummy, piping hot and very very tasty. Pizzas are very good with freshly baked bread. Tandoori chicken is my favourite. Tender, well cooked, well marinated succulent chicken will linger the taste on one's mouth. Among dessert, banoffe pie is very good. Very nice place. Will definitely visit again.

Bistro nirvana is amongst the few high rated outlets on zomato which made me try this place. Ambiance is good and the only restaurant serving non veg food in rishikesh which is the main highlight of this place.

Items ordered:
Mama mia pizza, momos, fries, cold coffee, tandoori chicken.
Everything was good, nothing extraordinary to be recommended.
Mainly its about the ambiance and calmness here which will make you love this place.

Overal rating-4/5
Manoj Ghorela
3 rating only because of the cozy ambience. Don't expect much from food. Also we ordered mango lassi, which was mostly taste like mango shake.
Great environment and a very good place to chill with friends. Food was also good. We ordered pizza , pastes. Shakes were not that good. Juices were better.

Bistro Nirvana came highly recommended by a friend I met in Dharamsala, but I only had a coffee there until the day before I left because I did not like the “vibe”. It is a very nice place with bamboo, wood tones, and a Polynesian feel, but all but one table is of the “Eastern” variety with low tops, seating mats, and a little too uncomfortable for this disabled Veteran.

The young “Bohemian” / hippie-wannabe crowd is drawn to this place, the ones with the dreadlocks (not sure why caucasians want to waste their time or money on dreadlocks, but whatever floats your boat) and nose-in-the-phone silence, just like in Dharamsala, so that also put me off a bit. The staff is friendly, but indifferent just like everywhere else in Rishikesh in general and the Swiss Cottage complex in pariticular.

Anyway, the food was really good! I ordered the Dal Makhni (130 rupees/$2.05), black lentils slow cooked overnight with garlic, onions, butter, and crème and a garlic and butter nan (50 rupees/80 cents). The dal were superb, arriving in a good size copper pot, perfectly warm and the best $2 I have spent in a long time at a restaurant. The nan was also very good, not looking enough to get me through my dal at first, but there was more than met the eye and I was satiated … after a piece of their legendary Banoffee pie (60 rupees/$.95) of course. The pie was rich and sweet, tasty with banana cream and toffee (caramel) atop a thick, chewy biscuit (cookie) crust, being almost too rich, but I polished it off just the same.

CombatCritic Gives Bistro Nirvana 7 Bombs Out Of 10 … One Bomb Deduction For Low Tables and Too Many Dreadlocks … Bombs Are Great!

Went there with friends on the way back from a holiday in Rishikesh. We were dying for some non veg food. The place was nice, eclectic, young with a relaxed ambience. We sat outside as the sitting inside looked uncomfortable. The service was spot on and the food was quite good. Try their omelet, Pahadi mutton and their desi chicken curry. Good portions as well. Highly recommended.

One of the finest in rishikesh this Cafe offers great value for money and a taste to juicy with an ambience so soothing time passes by. A great place to sit along with friends and have some coffee and sandwiches. Try their pizza range and you'll be amazed by the amount of toppings.

We came here on an all girls trip and this place simply blew us away. Tired from a long road journey, this cozy, green restaurant tucked away in a paradise place proved to be a warm, comfortable haven for our tired minds and bodies as well as an epicurean delight.

Decorated with colourful cushions and mattresses where you can lie down as well as cute tables and sofas where one can lounge and eat at the same time, this place has a hippie, trendy but fresh vibe. The service was a little slow, especially as there were so many of us but overall it was very hospitable.

We ordered a variety of food and drinks and shared them all. Each and every dish was excellent in flavour, display and conception. We particularly relished the yummy lemonade, basil slush, pizza, sizzler, banoffee pie and Mexican fried rolls. The momos were ok. We slept here for 2 hours and enjoyed the leisurely afternoon. There were also books to read and the staff was very welcoming.

The prices were really cheap especially given the amazing experience we had here. I would love to come back here again and again. This is my go-to-Nirvana in Rishikesh. So what's stopping you?

I would suggest this place to everyone who ever visits rishikesh especially if you are a non vegetarian.
The ambiance of the place is super cozy and since it is at a little height in the tapovan area the surrounding is pretty too.
The staff is really polite and cooperative and can suggest the best things to try.
We ordered pahari mutton with naan and it was an ultimate experience. The mutton was cooked well and there wasn’t any extra oil and was very tasty.
One must try their special desserts. We tried the dessert lasagna which had an amazing mix of chocolate, cream and peanut butter. It was the best thing I tried in rishikesh.
Great omlettes and Quite peaceful restautant with a comfortable seating area inside

Must try
Meat omlette
Veggie omlette

If you're a cheese lover than ask the waiter to add extra cheese to your omlettes..

A hidden gem in Tapovan area near Badrinath highway. Ambiance is really good specially loved the outdoor seating. The main highlight is the food though. They are the only restaurant serving non veg food in the area. Must try in the menu are Mexican chicken cromosque ( brilliantly done- perfectly cheesy with the right amount of other ingredients) and their special Pahadi mutton gravy which is huge in quantity and went very well with steamed rice. Their special drink Lemonana is quite refreshing. Pricing is reasonable enough but they dont accept cards. Overall a must visit place in Rishikesh.

This place is good for its ambience nd food is okay i liked the steamed momos its presentation was awesome, red and white pasta were good, pizza wasn't that much satisfying nd the burger was really bad don't ever try it..
DocNeha
Heard about this place from so many people and this one was my first visit. Looking at the menu there was lot of options available for a non veg eater. But taste wise the food was below average for me. Must be popular due to availability of non veg stuff but the quality is not good.
Arkapal Bandyopadhyay
It is one of the few places in Rishikesh which serves GOOD nonvegetarian dishes. We had ordered Chicken cheese mexican chromosque and Banqfee pie. The chromosque was yummy and voluminous for two. The Kashmeri Kahwa was highly dissapointing as I was given a tea bag in hot water. Banqfee pie was too good. Overall ambience, seating arrangement was cozy and fantastic. Eager to taste the other dishes !!
Travel4food
Lovely bistro, apt for a romantic meal! It's a few mins walk up fm the main road. Access at dinner time may be a problem without your own vehicle as I doubt you'll get autos even from the main road at that hour. In the food, the pahadi mutton is definitely a must try.
HarshTyagi
When in rishikesh it’s really hard to find a place which serves non-vegetarian.This place is what you were looking for, this place not only serves chicken but it is delicious. I had a chicken 65 and the famous homemade dessert both absolutely delicious.

This is the only place in the holy city of Rishikesh where you can satiate your carnivore desire. After doing google and speaking to few of my foodie friends, I got handle of a place that would serve Non Veg for us and the place is called Bristo Nirvana run by a couple. I just remember Dear Pankaj as I only met him.

I was lucky enough to meet the owner Pankaj, the guy was very sweet and accommodating. As I was running late but he made sure that he has his place open for us in spite of the fact that he has to leave for some wedding function that night. The moment I reached, he introduced me to his manager and said take care of them an indeed he took good care of us.

We ordered every item recommended by them and trust me they were just perfect. The best among all was their “Today Special” item i.e. Pahadi Mutton Curry. Although, I seldom eat veg items but to find their taste I tried them and they came our pretty scrumptious as well. All the drinks that we ordered were so fresh as if the leaves are cut from the plant on the spot for preparation.

The outside seating was the best part as you can hear the sound of Ganga flowing and hitting the shores while getting high on **** beep****

Guys this is a place not to be missed!!!!

Bistro Nirvana features very mellow atmosphere as soon as you enter the cafe the lights and seating will give you a sense of simplicity to add more to it the gharwali chefs will surprise you with the richness of traditional flavours from malai kofta with cheese garlic naan to Mexican cheese cromosque the menu is stellar without a doubt.

We had our breakfast at this place and really enjoyed it. It's slightly away from main road so you have to walk a little bit. Ambience and sitting arrangment are awesome. It's very quiet and peaceful place. Masala chai was good with all flavours blended. I really like the shaksuka and pancake at this place. Egg fiesta was ok. I also liked that they have different menu for breakfast and you didn't have to go through whole menu.

Place is situated near Bhandari Swiss Cottage. Ambience is good but seating is little bit cramped. Quality of food is ok but flavours are little bit off.

Shakshuka was on sweeter side.
Momos had strong Indian flavour.
Falafels were ok.
Pasta chips were too crispy for my taste but seasonings were really good.

Overall it suited my taste but might not be that great for others.

Still it is the second best Cafe after 60's Beatles/Delmar Cafe.
I was so glad to have found this place in Tapovan. One of the few places that serves great non vegetarian food out here. The food was amazing and the vibe super chill. Could not have asked for anything more. The chicken lasagna and chicken spring roll were the best items!!
Archit Panwar
Had an awesome dining experience, ambience was just too perfect. If you are having sweet tooth then must try milkybar chapati and dessert lasagne.

Service was good but..staff attitude and behavior is very rude ......never go this place...last time i had join a b.day celebration that tym staff attitude and behavior was very rude....

The location was hard to reach and it didn't have any view or anything which was a big let down. But kudos to the ambience which was bang on. Now food:
1. First dish was a veg burrito bowl, which was amazing. Subtle taste, and the vegetables were very nicely sauteed.
2. Second dish was veg spring rolls, which were simply satisfactory. Nothing to rave about. And the chutney served with it was abysmal.
3. Third dish was a chicken burger, which was quite tasty. The fries that came along were crispy as f***. All in all, thumbs up.
4. 2 beverages, one was lemon ana, which was basically lemon, mint and sugarcane juice with lots of ice; other was miracle juice, a mix of carrot and beetroot juice.

All in all, both drinks were a big let down. The quality of the dishes was above average at best. Ambience was extraordinary and finally, location, another let down.

Hence, 2 stars for my overall experience.
TheOfficialFoodJudge
This is best food i have ever had in rishikesh, the location for the restro is a bit off side, but when you reach to the place, your suprised with the ambience of the cafe, i went to this cafe last weekend with my friends. I ordered the following food items :-
1. Chicken spring rolls
2. Chicken tandoori momos
3. Phaadi mutton biryani
4. Lemon ana-this drink is perfect summer cooler with lots of lemon, mint leaves and frozen to perfection.
5. The miracle drink is also one of the highlight of the place, made of beetroot it too good on the palate

My husband was the senior resident doctor in gynecology and obstetrics in AIIMS Rishikesh. On his farewell party here before he joined as Post doctoral fellow in gyne oncology in CMC Vellore, the department threw a party in his honour. We had quite a few dishes -mocktails, starters, main course and off course, dessert. Food was impleccable. I thought this place was the only non veg restaurant in this area, back then. What stole my heart was a special cake for us -on the house. It was a memorable evening.

Searched long for a non veg restaurant in Rishikesh and finally ended up here and ended up great...

Food was yumm.. especially Tandoori Chicken

And service was also amazing.

I liked the Ambience as it was all natural.. felt like i was dining in woods

This restaurant has only one problem-- no.card payment , no paytm... Only Cash

Wish their staff was polite and courteous. This place has most prices around here though the food is nice. But I am really upset with the server with glasses on him. Such rude attitude towards Indian customers and only willing to entertain foreigners.
Even to other tables he was rude.
I have been to this place 2 years ago and this time I would say I was kind of disappointed.

Its certainly one of the best cafes in Rishikesh . The ambiance and interiors of the place provide soothness and relaxation . The food menu almost covers everything , and this is the place where you can satisfy your chicken cravings in Rishikesh .
Sometimes some places just make ur day!
Went to rishikesh very recently, realised after checking in that my luxury resort was Vegetarian!

Searched and searched for non veg food!

Found Bistro Nirvana tucked in cutely at the end of a long narrow winding only walkin road..and Boy o boy was I happy!
pahadi mutton, chicken burgers, pizza, thupka and I was in heaven!

Ps the staff is very good and smiling
