Review Cafe Steps - Rishikesh

Puneet Mittal
In Rishekesh, one of the best cafe. Couple of things which I like most 1) Ambiance 2) Simplicity of Staff 3) Awesome food (Even Normal veg Meggie has different taste) 4) Songs 5) place to chill couple of hrs. I have tried several things here in my last couple of visits (along with family, friends and obviously alone also). Never felt that any compromise with food quality. Must try Coffee by Varun. I have tried Black coffee (without milk) and without sugar first time here and my perspective toward black coffee changed a lot. Highly recommended. Vegetable Salad, chocolate ball, these are few items .... Taste still remember. And Yes ... How can I forget Tea. Too good. I keep coming and I keep recommending. Best place.

Rishikesh is one of fav place near NCR and I visit almost once in month to relax myself and find inner peace.i was roaming in Rishikesh and found this cafe beautiful wall painting ,bill board and nicely decorated front face. A brilliant ambiance inside with calm and peaceful for you to chit chat if you are in group, think peacefully if you want or just relax your mind or soul.Below is review : 1.Ambience : 5 🌟 s - Check my photos which speaks in itself - Peace ,nice sitting ,sunlight with relaxing sitting arrangements Soft music playing in background . 2.Coffee - 5 🌟 s - Best coffee I had - Owner makes coffee himself - I ordered Pour over which is black coffee - Coffee beans were different and was brewed - Owner explained me why it is named as pour over and also his own love for coffee which made him to do course in Coffee making in Bangalore. 3.Crowd : It is small coffee putting personal attention to all tables - Crowd is mainly backpackers and is good. 4.Food - Variety : 3.5 🌟 as sizzlers were missing and shusksuka Israeli item was there but not available . Quality : I ordered Falafel and quality was excellent in taste , presentation - Most likable and different item was their tikki kind of things which comes with fries . Every item was great in taste. 5 🌟 s Quantity : They have suitable portion - 2 people can enjoy 1 dish if you are ordering many dishes . Food Cleanliness and other factors : excellent Overall : 4.5 🌟 Do visit this cafe , you will find it amazing .While talking to owner , I came to know he is entrepreneur and was in IT for 9 long years. his love for coffee which was visible while he was brewing it for my order - Best coffee you can have in Rishikesh .

Really feel the urge to recommend this place. I felt the beautiful energy from outside a week ago and I went and sat for hours today. My feeling was right, a really beautiful energy here and a really cool comfortable layout , I sat there for hours and had a verity of food from breakfast, dinners and deserts and all of it was excellent quality and taste. It has a really comfortable vibe and the friendly owner says stay as long as you like. It's a lill bit away from Laxman Jhula centre , so it is quiet and hussle free and still only 5min walk from the bridge. Definitely definitely recommend Cafe Steps and I'll be back with friends tomorrow. Much Love NamastΓ© πŸ’šπŸ™πŸ’› Im back again and adding photos of my amazing breakfast, the Chai comes in a Big Mug πŸ™ which still didn't last long as it was yum, the water is complimentary and is pure and filtered, the porridge is the best, I bless and thank all my food and knew looking at this it was blessing me. No shortage of fruit and nuts in this and the honey is actually real which is pretty unusual for some cafe in Rishikesh. What a beautiful find this place is AUM NAMAH SHIVIA πŸ’šπŸ™πŸ’›

I tried the "Pour Over" cafe which is amazing! Light roasted bean. They share with me the coffee bean is from Blue Tokai, a good brand of coffee beans. Highly recommended for coffee bean hand drip taste lover.

I love the vibe here. Steps offers a nice respite from the busyness of the surrounding area, close to the best Ganga beaches and still not far from the main strip. The staff are wonderful and accommodating. There isn't a direct view of the river, but still lots of greenery to satisfy your visual desires. Definitely recommend as a quiet place to have a meal, a drink, or do some work.

So happy to have found this gem of a place!! It's a short walk from Laxman Jhula. The place is quiet, nicely decorated, and have a great atmosphere. The staff is incredibly friendly and service is one of the best. Above all, the food is great. I have also worked on my laptop here for hours with no problems. They seemed to have made the perfect place. I will def come here as often as I can.

Delicious and affordable food and drink, great hosts and a wonderful atmosphere. Even thought it is inside, one never has the feeling it is, open windows and a soft breeze running through gives you a feeling as if you are sitting right next to the Ganga. Thank you for your hospitality, we have spent our whole day here and certainly will do so again soon!

Beautiful Ambience. The connectivity with nature here is something I liked the most. I want my Pour Over Coffee to be enjoyed in a peace with some books. I also recommend people to use this place as co-working space where you get peace to concentrate on work and Coffee further complements the mood and concentration. They do Pour Over Coffees as of today but soon going to have Espressos based Coffee Menu as well. Very precise menu with excellent hand on food by local chefs is just amazing. Cross Lakshman Jhula towards other side and take left and walk around 200 meter, the Cafe Steps is just there on your right side above the Uttra Art Gallery. View from there is just amazing and didn't feel to come out of this place. Varun, who owns this place is a nice personality from IT background understands and personally attends each guest, which is something missing in most of Cafes in our locality. They deserves 5 star rating.

Cafe Steps is a gem of a place, located pleasantly away from the main hustle and bustle of Rishikesh but still a short walk from Lakshman Jhula. Quiet and spacious with a fantastic array of choices, including all-day breakfast 'sets' which I didn't try but wish I had! The staff are super friendly, caring and attentive without being over-bearing and the food is fresh and tasty. Very clean and spacious bathroom and a very comfortable and welcoming space to come and relax, eat, drink and enjoy! I didn't visit the art gallery below but it looks great, too. The one tiny suggestion I have next time you guys print your menu is to perhaps specify a list of ingredient (e.g. in the salads) so that people know exactly what is in them...but this is a very minor thing! :)

β€œHey the place looks costly, if the prices are high we will share the chai into 4 cup” this was the dialogue which i gave when i saw the place from outside. We were a group of 4 and we were in a hunt of tasty, stomach filling breakfast. We entered Cafe STEPS and we loved the ambience of the place. The kitchen was well maintained and the sitting arrangement were something which were of a different concept. Indian breakfast tasted authentic. We loved it

One of my favourite places in Rishikesh for a quiet breakfast or tea. The interior is beautiful, the sitting very comfortable and the food is freshly cooked and tasty. The staff is very nice. Oh, and the toilet is soooo clean! A rarity in this neck of the woods. Highly recommended! Thank you for your kindness and hospitality, we will be back in March πŸ™

The best thing about this place is the politeness of the staff. The ambinece, art displays and the collection of books (for a change no spirituality books) added weight to my experience. I visited the cafe twice over the weekends. Since the cafe is a little far from the town, it isn't much crowded and I found it perfect for relaxing, reflecting, reading and using my laptop. I hoghly recommend it.

Far enough down the road it's peaceful and quiet seemingly all day. Beautiful decor and atmosphere, kind service, and a whole host of other positive attributes I, and probably most laid-back backpackers, look for in a cafe. Great chocolate ball and tea selection

One of the best spots we came across on our whole India journey, a place you will wish to return to daily. Thoughtfully decorated, with lots of light and beautiful, lush green view only 5min walk from Lakshman Jhula bridge, Steps Cafe provided the full package. Great interior, super clean facilities, tasty food and drinks, very nice, pleasant and easygoing music playing in the background and great, friendly service. As you walk inside and sit, you are already served with glass of fresh water, which is a nice welcome. We will definitely be back and warmly reccomend!
