Review Selvi Mess - Salem

We have visited here for Lunch. We have order chicken biriyani, meals and sidesh. Taste is very good. They are maintaining excellent taste in each and every variety. Lemon soda is top notch. Very good parking space, rest room facilities available. Location in National Highway. Google location is accurate.

Highly recommended for non-vegetarians. I had mutton Biriyani and seer fish fry and I'm satisfied with taste, quality and quantity. Afternoon Biriyani still steam rice will be served who are willing to have more.

This restaurant runs continuously from 12pm noon until night. Biriyani and Meals are served until 4pm then biriyani and parotas afterwards. We had biriyani which is amazing in taste. gravies n Chukkas are ultimate. One small observation.. irrespective of chicken or Mutton, the biriyani taste remains as is. However, it tastes amazing. Must try biriyani who loves this taste as I love Hyderabad dum biriyani than this style. I will try parotas next time and update you here. The staffs here are very friendly. Good ambience. Since it's on the highway, please do visit and enjoy. In fact they have an ample amount of parking space too.

Mess the name is related to side dishes and it's famous for it... The Selvi mess didn't disappoint me all the side dishes were so good 😊, I didn't like the taste of biryani much (flavour not enough)... I tried non veg meals(120-includes rice, mt mutton curry, mt fish curry, mt chicken curry, rasam, more and 2 poriyal, ), biryani(210-includes chicken pieces, raita, mt mutton curry and boiled egg ), brain fry(180) and kaadai pepper(200)... Service is so good, atmosphere always crowded, u won't get table easily🤯...

Great place for non veg lovers. You can get a vast variety of dishes to order. Veg lovers, sorry, you will only get one poriyal and one kootu for side dish, sambar, rasam and thick curd will be provided. They dont provide appalam. It's a heaven for nonveg lovers. Parking space is available, so no issues for vehicle safety.

Food quality is good. We reached by 9pm. Few items like Thandoori, Grill Chicken were not available. The Taste is good. The Quantity is okay. Cost is slightly higher for the quantity they serve. Ample Parking Space.

Food is Good but missed wow factor (Even my other friends who visited multiple times said same). Many Non-Veg Varieties they serve. Mutton Biryani is good than Chicken Biryani. Serving is fast, place is neat and Hygeine. Ample car parking available beside hotel.

Awesome and must try if you are a biriyani lover. Mutton biryani was excellent ❤️ typical Tamil restaurant. It is AC and suitable for family. Good parking space as well. Thy had mutton brain fry and lever fry. Tried and felt good.

Finally one good restaurant with quality food and service. Taste and quality is top notch. Only thing is they cannot manage the crowd. We have to find the place and no one was there to see if you got a table Or not. However the service is good and especially the security helped us park the car and take out the car easily. Both Mutton starters and chicken starters are equally good.

Loved it!!! Food is too good here ... Though the place looks like an ordinary restaurant the food and service is way better ... My friend who loves in Salem had recommended this and I really enjoyed eating here. . We ordered non veg meals and one biryani ... There was nothing that didn't taste good... 10/10 ..non veg lovers must try out food here

Everyone should atleast stop at this place and have food and go. Such a lovely place. The taste i can't describe it was so delicious. It s full non -veg restaurant so be prepared before you go there. You will have all sort of options in non -veg and egg items. I tried egg kothu parotta and sides. It was really tasty. They use groundnut oil for everything which is really appreciable. Please do visit and have food at this place. Don't be amazed with their taste because they just maintain their name and taste for a long time in the salem area.
