Review Singh's Vegetarian Restaurant - Secunderabad

Very good Punjabi veg restaurant. Went here as per the reviews. Liked the food. But waited for more than half an hour for getting the seat. It's a small restaurant with 10 to 12 tables. Had masala papad, makai roti along with Sarson ka saag & Lassi. All are up to the expectations. Since it's a Punjabi restaurant expected for chaas which is missing in their menu. Over all satisfied with the food.

We had been out shopping near Paradise Circle on our vegetarian day during our trip to Hyderabad. Around 2pm we were thinking of getting a quick bite nearby and upon googling for vegetarian options, New Singh vegetarian restaurant caught our eye. It was just a 10 min walk from where we were and we decided to give it a try. Heading upstairs to the restaurant, we were in a cozy place with standard tables and chairs in a family like setting. The owner and his family were around, which made us feel more comfortable. Since it was past 2pm, there wasn't much of a crowd, but the service staff were still quite helpful. The popular items on the menu was obviously makai ki roti and sarson ka saag and of course we started with that (the service staff knew we would order these as they're the most popular dishes on the menu). We thought 2 rotis were enough for 2 of us as we weren't hungry, but we had to order 2 more as the rotis were amazing and so tasty with the sarson ka saag. The roti texture was soft and a bit crispy at the same time and it melts in your mouth. Onion salad is not a favourite dish of mine, but this was different and a must try - the powder they sprinkle gives off a unique taste. We topped it off with lassi which wasn't big in size, but was just right after the heavy meal. If you are craving authentic Punjabi makai ki roti and sarson ka saag, you have to be here! We thanked the owner on the way out and told him to keep serving amazing food!

Authentic Punjab Dhaba! It's a pure vegetarian restaurant which serves some quite delicious main courses. We love the garlic naan with methi chaman here, an absolute combination with juicy flavours. We have to start with Masala papad and end with Punjabi lassi, that's how it works here. Limited seating area but it's worth waiting though. 😋

Superb restaurant which offers Punjabi cuisine. Delight for vegetarians as it is pure veg. Food quality is so nice along with affordable prices and friendly staff. Must try recommendations are - Makki Roti with sarson ka saag, parathas and kulchas.

The tatse was just amazing. Loved every thing that we ordered. It was just yummy. Must visit for a Pure Vegetarian who wants to try some delicious items. Also the service here was superb. Second visit on 27th March 2023 This time again got the same wonderful service and food was just amazing. Prices are also very reasonable. Really satisfied with the total experience. Will Definitely recommend this place for Pure Veg People.

Food is great taste wise. Going by the cost, the quantity of items - dal & paneer sabzi was less. The Masala Thumbs-up or Marwari Beer is very average. Skip it. Better get original thumps up. Parking is a big issue here.

Keeping the quality same since ages is a difficult task and this small restaurant has pioneered it with their chef and staff. Even after small small renovations Mr.Vicky singh is following his father's footsteps in keeping the love towards taste and service quality up. I can say this is the best middle class restaurant in MG road area, the prices are also reasonable, we 2 people heavily ate and the bill was near 600 rupees only. Mist tries are Sarson ka Saag with makki ki roti, Paneer tikka Chilli paneer Veg biryani Punjabi spicy fried rice Shahi paneer with roti/garlic naan. Have a soulful dinner. Cheers.

Singh's situated at MG Road secundrabad is known for its Punjabi food. This place has been on a radar for a while finally ticked it off. It's a simple place where the focus is more on service and food. Was here on a Sunday after . The place was almost packed but the service was pretty fast. The best part was the owner had a smile all along while we enjoyed the food. We started with masala papad which was served instantly. Baby corn 65 was delicious crunchy and spicy. Paneer takka Tak and dal kolhapuri were spicy and did go very well with the rotis and jeera rice. Special lassi was decent would have been better if served cold. The food was good but didn't meet my expectations which were set high for this place. Might be the wrong order. #foodtrails_hyderabad- Instagram

An authentic vegetarian Punjabi restaurant which is famous for its Sarsoan ka saag and Makke di roti. No frills but comfortable, hygienic with good personnel A must visit place if you're looking for good food.

My most favourite place. This place trust me guys, the kind of food they serve you, it's just so good. You will love the way the food is, the service is quick, the staff is very good and friendly. The food is yummy. The most amazing dish that will stand you out is Paneer 65. I highly recommend you guys eating Panneer 65 because this is over the world. And in curries, Tomato Chutney is mama mia! Eat with Jeera Rice or Roti trust me, you will visit again just for that dish. Andd you guys can thank me later for suggesting you. The interiors are decent. It's just a typical dhaba where you can eat food with a small TV setting where you can watch TV. Hence, not so great when it comes to interior photography. After tiring shopping in parklane. You guys can definitely try out this restaurant.

Ok the staff is really courteous, the service is extremely fast food is tasty but the only thing you won't get here is ambience. The furniture is old and dull and no ventilation makes the place dull.

Authentic and super delicious north indian style food in the heart of secunderabad, the place is owned by a north indian gentleman. So the food here is super yummy, i went there for dinner twice, its situated at first floor of a busy mg road.

I tried gobhi manchurian, paneer, mushroom chilly, and a few other things, all were super delicious the punjabi naan is a special kind of naan which u must try. The quantity was good, the pricing is very affordable.

I will surely visit the place again, if you are craving for north indian food, do try this place.

Taste:9/10
Service:8/10
Ambience:6/10
Value for Money:9/10

I can say it as a hidden gem for the vegetarians.
It is very difficult to find a four-wheeler parking at this place. But, hardly we found someplace to park our vehicle. Hospitality was very good in the restaurant. As it was a cousin's get together we had a full of masthi with the staff.
Food:-
Ordered couple of starters (Veg Manchuria & Panner 65). Panner was so soft and fresh to eat. Followed by Few types of Indian bread (Plain Naan, Butter Naan & Garlic Naan) with Paneer Burji and Chapt pat curry. I recommend you to try chatpat curry. Followed by jeera rice and veg fried rice. Gravy provided for the rice is amazing. Followed by apni Punjabi lassi which was lip smacking.

Bill came out with 1700 for 6 people which were reasonable including 4 water bottles.

Value for money 3.5/5
Food 4/5
Hospitality 4/5

Decent vegeterian food. Small congested place, but packed to capacity. Swift professional waiters delivering prompt service. Dont go for the ambience, go for the food

Went here today for lunch as was highly recommended by ppl. The place is dhaba style and nothing fancy on ambience. We ordered dal makhani and kofta with roti naan and lacha parantha. The curries were tasty...but then.... we found a big insect in dal. Put us off instantly..yuk. however, when complained about it, the waiter politely took away everything on table and replaced with a paneer dish and also did not charge us for entire previous order. Highly disturbed by the incident, but appreciate their behaviour/ attitude. So giving them a decent rating (yes, 2 is decent, keeping the incident in mind). Leaving the incident aside, food was typical north Indian dhaba style, hard to find in Hyd. So be here at your own risk!!

This place is famous among General bazaar shoppers; hence it's crowded most of the time.
Space is limited; and it's cramped.

However once food comes on the table, one would forget all the inconvenience around.

Curries are lipsmackking; makki and butter rotis are must try.
Try their lassi and bhagra thumps up to polish off your meal.

Ambience: 3/5
Food 4/5

My first time visit to Singh’s restaurant, such a tiny way inside upstairs and a normal decor.

We ordered Lacha paneer, the taste was sweet and worst. Cost wise it’s so expensive comparing to other famous dhabas. Butter naan was ok ok.

When asking about the taste to staff, silly reasons they were mentioning that main chef is on leave.

Bad experience at my first visit.

Please share your comments as well post your visit

Ambience 3.0/5
Food 3.5/5
Service 4.0/5
..
Food was so good!!
..
Tasted: veg manchurian, chilli paneer, dal makhani, paneer tadka, butter naan.
..
Lassi is awesome..!

The food was too good here, except the starters.
We ordered veg Manchurian, chilli paneer, lassi, plain roti, butter naan, dal makhani and paneer tadka
.
The veg Manchurian was basic, I won't suggest to have
.
The chilli paneer too oily, could be better. If the oil is less
.
Lassi was heaven, just for 50 bucks. I ordered it thrice
.
Dal makhani was so flavour full with ghee and just goes with the butter naan
.
Paneer tadka is the spice heaven, i loved it

This is one decent place for authentic Punjabi food run by a Punjabi. Located on busy mg road with a tiny stair case n limited seating area.
Simple ambience n got huge menu for veg lovers.
Dal makhni,Paneer gravies n special mention to sarsoon ka saag which is mouth watering n their naan n makai roti are the best.Lassi is a must have here.
Service is quick n food is served hot n fresh. Price is decent for the portion size.
overall a good place for quick n tasty veg meal

After ordering online earlier visited the place for dinner. The place is small but convenient. The food was good. It was like dhaba style in the city. Pretty sure will visit quite a lot now. Reasonable and good food.

Went there with family. First the place is very very congested and busy. I was okay to wait in that cramped place as I expected awesome punjabi food. But it was pathetic. Took veg manchurian and paneer tikka for starters, paneer butter masala, dal fry and raita for main course, aloo paratha, butter naan for breads.
Veg manchurian was pathetic and so was paneer butter masala. Dal fry and Paneer tikka were very very average. Raita was only lifesaver. butter naans were rubbery. Overall a poor experience. Wanted to order lassi as I dont miss paneer tikka, paneer butter masala and lassi at any punjabi restaurant. But the tikka and butter masala were very poor and demotivated me from ordering lassi.

The price? not very reasonable as most think down here, especially because their serving size was very small. Got a bill of 1145 which seemed more as the taste, quality and quantity were all poor.

If you ignore the ambience and just see the taste of the food directly proportional to the money you spent, then trust me Singh restaurant is one of the best place to go for !being a pure vegetarian restaurant ,it serves the best paneer curry in the surroundings and don't miss out the yummy paneer tikka over there!not much a variety of deserts to look out for. In a nutshell it gives you the feeling of a indoor punjabi dhaba in a busy suburb serving you proper ethnic Desi food 😄

Last week had lunch with family was quiet satisfactory and it was as expected. They keep up their standard for taste and service. It's time to improve the look of walls all around. Ambience may spoil the mood.

If ever there was a new place or an old restaurant but not known to me which I wanted to try , Zomato as an App always serves the purpose. So today I did try an old restaurant which is not easily located, tucked into the busy area of General bazar but if u ask anyone nearby of parklane where is Singh's Pure Veg Restaurant they would show you the directions, they don't have any parking such as but u do have Ghmc parking centre just a few steps Ahead, It's typically an restaurant of olden days of No ambience but simple good food.
So straight away ordered Chole bathura, I wouldn't say this is the best I have tasted cause ohris at Pg road is the benchmark but this one tasted OK, the bathura was very soft and good the problem was with the chole, it looked like it had lot of colour and got confirmed when I washed my hands after having my lunch. Also had they special Punjabi lassi which was silver line for my lunch, had a good topping of tutti frooti and a tinge of khova for the weather which was outside this was very good. Overall an OK experience considering the price was 230rs, would surely give another try.

Was struggling to find sarson ka saag and makki roti combo fora while and finally discovered this place. Went over the weekend with family. What the place lacks in ambience is overcome generously by the taste of each item. As you look around you can see a sense of fulfillment and joy in everyone. We ordered Makki ki roti , Saag, Vegetable khazana, Dal fry, masala kulcha and aloo paratha and a couple of rotis. Cant say which was better than the other. Every item was good including the free salad sprinkled with probably their proprietary chat masala. Nothing to complain. Only suggestion is probably they can be little less generous with desi ghee in saag! PS: For Gods sake don't come to a Panjabi joint and order Chinese.

The best thing about the place is the value for money and the warm and courteous service. The ambience is just ok but for the price, its reasonable. The quality and taste of food was excellent. We had sarson ka saag and makki ki roti. The roti was so soft and the curry was excellent and authentic Punjabi. I definitely recommend this place and I sure plan to visit it, the next time I'm in the area.

Food : You get proper Punjabi food here, no comprising at all. The food was yummm! panner Tikka, panner dilruba and couple of butter naan's and ended with a lassi. Panner dilruba is one of those different curries, one must try. I can go with 4****/5

Ambience: I am not really satisfied with ambience, it is not so tidy. It has to be maintained. Can go with max 2.5***/5

Service: Service is very good. You get quick service, unless more crowded. These guys are also more of friendly kind. Can go with 4****/5
On the expensive side. The is staff is fine. The food is ok. The paneer butter masala was good. But wait "Bundi Raita" costs 100rs? I mean seriously. The humble bundi raita is for a 100 bucks. Given the ambience of the place and their pricing , this restaurant is definitely not worth the hype. This place is definitely overrated.

Stumbled upon this place after shopping at General Bazaar. I was not sure how the taste would be till I decided to take a chance and should I say the place was worth paying a visit. The restaurant doesn't have a great ambience and the seating too is a little congested. However, when it comes to food and service, it's worth visiting. I was not very impressed with their soups and starters. But main course was decent-Paneer Taka Tak and Naan. So were Chaach and Biryani

Food: 3.5
Ambience: 2.5
Service: 4

This is the first time I visited this place. Although, this restaurant is located in main road, still difficult to find.
Run by punjabi couple, this place has hell lot of tasty food to offer.
Almost everything we ordered was tasty and delicious.
Paneer Taka Tak 4/5
Masala Kulcha 3.5/5
Lachha paratha 2.5/5 only disappointment
Lassi 3.5/5
Chaach 3.5/5
Masala Papad 3.5/5
Dum biryani 3/5

Don't expect much of ambience.
Management quite messed up.
Service was somehow good.

A very good vegetarian restaurant in parklane area. Food is very tasty.
We orderd chilly paneer for starters. Paneer was cooked to perfection. Crisp outside and soft inside. Butter naan and stuffed kulcha were equally good.
And lasssi at the end of the meal was awesome.
4/5 for food but ambiance need lot of improvement.

A big hit spot in secunderabad for vegetarian food..
On the 1st floor of busy mg road beside general bazar lane this place is for true punjabi loving foodies..
What need to say when run by a punjabi himself the food is damm tasty and value for money..
Chilky paneer ,babycorn 65 and paneer tikka are my favourites for the starters section.
Mains i would recommend ginger paneer, malai kofta and dal fry..
Butter rotis really go well with the main cource.
For this place and price they serve the best one can..
Parking is ok but 4 wheelers can be an issue to park..
Service....3.5/5
Ambience....3/5
Food.........3.5/5
Verdict...a good place at an reasonable price..

North Indian food at its best. Reasonable prices. Good ambience. Cheerful staff.

The place is located exactly at the junction of park Lane road and mg road. Can spot the hoarding. The restaurant is on the first floor.

Had dinner at this place with a friend who suggested it. This Place hardly gets noticed in a crowded location of general bazaar.
Don't go by the size and ambiance of this place and don't hesitate to try out this place. This veg restaurant's food will not disappoint you. Moreover the food is fresh and the rates are reasonable. Completely worth for money.

If you are a person like me who would go anywhere if food tastes good, then here you are. This is one not so good looking place but food here is very tasty.
Specially paneer here is soft and nicely cooked. In 2014 for 4 months me and my friends went every Friday night here. This is open till late and is centrally located.

Even rates are reasonable. One can enjoy a tasty food here.

Hoarding or Ambience can be better to find it easily, but its food will map you there. Unbeatable Punjabi food. When compared to other restaurants/dhabas around it has the best menu best n taste.

Ambience - 2.5/5
Service - 3.5/5
Food - 3.75/5
Cost - 3.5/5

Awesome taste
Good for North Indian Foodies ????
Unbeatable
This place never let my expectations down ?
Quality Quantity value for money Service
Everything is marvellous

.I've been hearing about this place but was never able to find it. Apparently the only way somebody gets to know about the place is word of mouth. Call it confidence that a good food place will spread or call it trusting their food quality they are doing good. Visited the place on a Saturday night and it was buzzing with people taking parcel orders and also families visiting.

Location:
This place is located right near the MG Road Gandhi statue on the first floor hidden with a bigger banner of a pearl shop and apparently not even lighted up which makes it visibly impossible to spot this place in the night.

Ambiance:
There is nothing much to talk about and looks like there are covers put on seats and the place is about to get painted but no, that's the color of the upholstery. There is a private dining area with 5 tables inside and with AC where a family can dine peacefully. Only concern is might get too crowded over the weekend which will make the place cramped.

Food experience:
Have heard good things about their paneer curries and North Indian curries in general so decided to go the All punjabi way and ordered the Chole batura and the Special Punjabi lassi which comes with khova, tuti-fruity etc.

The chole batura was soft easy to tear and very tasty. It was not oily and was on dot perfect. The chole was not the best chole I've had but the spices, flavors were absolutely on dot too. With the addition of lemon and the onions, I was turning into Arvinder Singh with every bite and every sip of that lassi :))
All this with a bottle of water costed me 230 Rs.

Service:
When I tipped the waiter the man shared his tip with the other waiter and said "Dharmam saar idi" and also asked me how the food was twice while I was eating. Served fast, served with a smile and finger bowl and bill got within no-time.

To this already famous place which has been around for nearly 2 decades , serving good food needs no advertisement. Very happy experience. Do visit if you are in MG road and don't care much about the ambiance.

Food - excellent , ambience - ok , price - reasonable !!! Excellent for North Indian lovers !

Ambience - okay. Food - marvellous.

I love going to this place time and again. If you are searching for north indian food, this is the place for you. If you prefer an ambience like a 5 star, you perhaps might not like this place. But if you are a hard core foodie, well, you reached just the right place.

Ultimate Punjabi Dhaba food experience (minus the ambience)!

This place is hard to locate though situated on the main road. The ambience is not great and the sofas are covered with sheets which I think the Britishers might have left back. The attendants are local Punjabi youngsters who are not well trained in service (or simply put will give you a highway side Dhaba kinda service).

Having said all that, I am still a big fan of this place, just for their superb Punjabi food. The Sarso ka Saag and Makke ki roti are mind blowing and Aloo Parathas made with the desi Makkhan (local butter) give your taste glands an ultimate solace. The Lacha Parathas and Bhaturas were quite okay too.

The Paneer butter Masala, Lacha Paneer, Kadai Paneer, Special Punjabi Kofta and Dal Fry Tadka are quite nice too. I have also tried their Chilli Paneer and Veg Manchurian which tasted alright but quite similar. The Lassi is quite thick and filling!

Food wise the place is nice, just that it is better not to expect much from the ambience, cleanliness and service standards (though they serve the dishes quite fast). Also, it's quite expensive for the kind of ambience, service and quantity it offers! But still worth a try for Punjabi food lovers (*veg) !

Ultimate paradise for Vegetarians. The food is delicious and full of makkhan. I recommend this restaurant to all people though it is difficult to spot this restaurant.
