Review Ml 05 Cafe - Shillong

A beautiful cafe perched in the woods, its interiors are quite interesting and are great for taking good photographs. It may be a little difficult to locate but once you reach here, you'll be amazed by its surroundings. Now regarding the taste, pizza was good and the coffee seemed overpriced at first, then seeing the quantity the price seemed justified (both the quantity and the price could have been less). Service was slow but hospitality good.

Cafe is located in a very good location, ambience is great. Menu is quite standard felt Food was overrated and priced to high over priced. If you have time you can visit for a quick meal and enjoy the surrounding. Finding the place is challenging.

Ambience is great. Service is super. Food however is overrated and over priced. Still if you are visiting Shillong, you must stop here for a quick meal. Entry from Highway is slightly confusing. You may have to look twice to find your way.

A great experience at ML 05, so much so that we went there again for our breakfast after having our dinner two nights earlier. And when one goes back to a restaurant after having eaten once means that he/she has chosen to go there again which to me is a big reflection of the place, with that being the biggest feedback of that restaurant. So, you can go there for a good Italian dinner or a fantastic English breakfast on a bright & sunny day, even a cold day will give you the warmth with its interiors lit up with sepia tone. The route to ML 05 is pretty interesting with its unassuming, straight out of the woods and gives a feel of the horror movie Raaz scene. The food & the staff are truly amazing. In a nutshell, it's all pluses when you are going to ML 05. If you are in Shillong and not yet made a plan to go to ML 05, do pay it a visit because you will find it worth paying for it from your pocket, with a smile. Oh yes, they allow your pet to be kept at the entrance which was a very happy condition for us.

It's a good cafe near Shillong Peak. Here you will find only snacks , no meals. But all the snacks are very good in taste and quality. It's a pocket friendly cafeteria. The location is very good , in the middle of a tall wood.

One of the best in the town. The ambience is really soothing. Antique decorations with bike parts. The entrance through the pine woods is mesmerising. Vibe 10/10.

The most special thing about this cafe is the small ally lined with really old and long trees just outside the restaurant. Cafe theme and decor is based on bike and its spare parts. One other attraction is the tabletop made of trunk of the tree. Food quality and taste is above average. Service is prompt. Overall visit this cafe for its unique theme and location.

A very pleasant cafe with a breath taking and peaceful view. Food is very delicious and the staffs are highly trained. Being pure vegetarian we were nog disappointed by the menu as they had a very diversified menu. We tried their pasta, pizza, coffee and shakes and very much satisfied.

ML 05 cafe is a place that you can try visiting if you are a rider, you will love this ambiance for sure. Ambience is set with Vehicle parts and number boards. Food taste and quantity is good. Very neat and clean environment.

The place is very cozy and bright. The ambiance will definitely lift up your mood. Well maintained. Also the manuals/posters give it a rustic touch. Overall an awesome experience. The momos and pork ribs were out mouth watering. Overall a satisfied visit.

This cafe has such a varied mix of reviews that I didn't go with any expectations of my own. We were on our way from Shillong to Sacred Forest and very hungry, the cafe was on our way so we gave it a shot. The way to the cafe is very pretty, even when you take a turn from the main road. The views from the cafe and it's decor is on point. We ordered a Secret Sauce Maggi and a veg Pizza and they were good. The coffee wasn't great and the service is slow. All in all it is a good place to hangout. You probably wouldn't like it if you are in a rush and wanted to grab a bite.

Food, ambient and staffs are all good. Loved the music collection, but I found the price is in higher side,Overall a good experience.

Nice cafe with a vibrant ambiance.. There's a kids area as well.. Food is ok.. Coffee needs improvement.. It's somewhat difficult to locate because it's located 'behind the forest' you see from the main entrance gate..

Nice place. We had pizza and milk shake which was tasty. In beautiful location. Interior of cafe is very good. There is cycle on hire. Per hour Rs.99 fee. Local guides didn't know about this place we had to search it via Google maps. I will recommend this place.

ML 05 cafe is an absolute winner for me! If I had to recommend the 01 cafe to visit if you had only 01 day in Shillong..this would be my top recommendation followed by Dylan's ..I loved all the corners/interiors of the cafe so much that just to experience them all I would love to keep going back..it's located off the main road enroute to cherapunjee..very picturesque surroundings..and ideal for a break midway. totally in sync with the spirit of Shillong..I had ordered the veg peri peri pizza , the rose pasta ,lemon iced tea and the chocolate shake.. Everything was delicious and we stuffed our tummys .. although the chocolate shake could be better (thicker) nevertheless I absolutely loved the experience & the tasty food..�.The one treat you must order here is their homemade fudge brownie..that was warm and soft and just melted in the famished me!

Extremely dissapointed with the manager of the cafe!!!!.I would have given minus if there was such a rating option!!! I am writing this review after having left the cafe just now.Well we came here after reading great reviews.Though we had a late breakfast somewhere else and were not hungry at all but decided to still visit the place for an early lunch.We four adults and a kid of 4 had placed a large order.A birthday was being planned there and they had decorated it with a 100 balloons at least.My kid started bawling gor one balloon.My husband went and requested for one seeing my kids crying but the lady refused saying they dont hv any. As it was just impossible to explain to my kid,i went again and requested if they could spare one balloon from the hundred hanging for my kid and i would pay for it as well as otherwise it would be impossible to eat our lunch like this.The girl at the counter went and asked the manager but he refused again.I explained to the girl that in that case i have to cancel the order and leave with my family.She went again and asked but tge manager refused again.I was left with no option but to cancel the order and leave. I dont know how one ballon given to my kid would hv spoiled the decoration!Except that the manager had a big big EGO which stopped him from saying yes to a small kid of four crying and howling fr one balloon.Neither does this make any business sense as well. Very very bad customer service..as no one bothered to apologise also.Horrible!!! Please get some humility and compassion for kids ! I hv never ever written a review for a restaurant in my life but you guys forced me to do so...Bad food,long wait times etc are all acceptable to certain extent but having no empathy for a crying kid..totally unacceptable!!!!

Now this is one of the best place i've visited in shillong. Just love the place and cafe ( hats off to the team who came wid this cafe idea - location and interior decoration ).I'm happy that my Khasi friends called me specially for this cafe, for a cup of coffee and it went so well that now I will visit this cafe every time, when I'll come to shillong.

Second time I am visiting this place. Great atmosphere, nice ambience and a comfortable place to relax. The menu looks good, the service is good as well. The prices are on the higher side. But what the heck, I will willingly empty my pockets if my taste buds and my pocket gets the satisfaction for a pricey menu. Well I came with my wife ordered a basic Chilly Baby corn and two lattes. When the baby corns arrived I almost burst out laughing. It was a small bowl, and the laughable amount of baby corn(5-6 pieces for Rs 179/-) was ingeniously camouflaged with lots of chillies, onions, and coriander leaves. I don't mind paying but this was plain robbery.

Worse Cafe ever ...masala chai for Rs 199 in which price is really high.... crispy chicken fry well not cooked.... water is served but no glass and have to beg it for twice... me and my boyfriend we are really disappointed

I had coffee shake and their special masala Maggi. The maggi was very delicious and shake was a bit sweet but inasked them to make it strong and then it was perfect. Me and my bestie went there for two consecutive days. The scenery and ambiance is good and I would visit them again if i went to north east. I would definitely recommend this place.

Ambience blended with greenery is the key take away.. Staffs r friendly .. On the food front tried pastas which were decent .. Along with strawberry shake and cold coffee which were a major let down .. But keep aside the food this place is a good hangout option with pals..

The location and the view of the surroundings are beautiful. The interior is well decorated. That's two stars. But the food, san taste, was not to my expectations from a reputed cafeteria. I would rather think twice before visiting again.

Wai wai maggi,Naga cheese chilli bread, hot chocolate is something you should definitely try. Look, ambience and service is just great. Staff is very friendly here. Worth visiting place in shillong.
