If you want to try something offbeat but authentic when you are in shillong…this is one place you must visit. Their best seller the potato basket with herbs and butter is perfect for long conversations with friends and loved ones. I also tried their ice cream and juice and loved them both. Every thing is natural and organic. The staff is also approachable and patient with tourist. I am just happy that such a place exist.

This Place has an authentic khasi touch to it… with variety of khasi meals & multiple options of tea being served here, one can indulge in the food and the ambience and feel close to nature. Their simple and famous boiled potato dish (Pham Saw) served with various herbs is a must try. Also the ice cream served here is too good, we tried passion fruit and berry blast flavour both were too good. Definitely a place to visit👍

One of the most amazing and good ambience place for good authentic khasi food. Any one visiting meghalaya and want to taste the authentic khasi food for them this is one of the best place. The place is unique and bound by tradition keeping the culture alive. We went for lunch a group of 7 people ordered most of the stuff and the amount was reasonable not expensive at all. The interior has been designed In a traditional way exhibiting music and arts The staffs are humble and have a friendly approach The lacking is in the transportation if you have your own vehicle it's fine but you are coming by public transportation then you might have a little bit towards to the main road to get taxi towards your destination Food 10/10 Service 10/10 Once you visit here you will visit again and again Regards Prasanth

It's a great place for local cuisine. You can basically get all types of tea here which is a plus for me 😅. The way they decorate the place is unique compared to other cafe. It's such a good place for kids. Anyone can see that the owner did make a huge effort in making the place a beautiful one. I love how they have the fireplace too. Would definitely revisit and an advice for those who haven't visit yet the place please do.. It'll be worth. Keep up the great work guys.

The best place to visit if you’re looking for authentic Khasi food. This place, located near Pine Air Bed and Breakfast is the best example on how to showcase any authentic traditions in its fullest sense, be it the food, interiors or the music. Cafe is built in hut model and interior is filled with items that denotes the tradition. Great customer service. If you’re not into traditional Khasi food, you may find it difficult to like the taste. Enjoy your food listening to great music!

I love this place. The traditional khasi food is the best. Phan Tungtap(Boiled potato with spicy dry fish chutni) , dohthad(smoked beef/pork) And the Roselle tea ❤ Anyone coming to Shillong or in Shillong and wants to try something new. Should definitely visit YOU & I- Arts Cafe.

For traditional cuisine of Meghalaya, one must visit this cafe. Even the atmosphere is set in such a way as to give a natural feeling while having food.

Loved the place , the decor is simple but very attractive . Lovely music. Service is very good. There was a welcome drink made with local ingredients , had both dohthad masi(smoked beef) and dohthad sniang (smoked pork),liked them both ,but found the pork better . Ordered for a chicken gravy -dohsyiar kylia, very nice mustardy gravy. Had half a portion of phan (potatoes) with spicy fish chutney (lovely) To finish it off we ordered some home made icecream , blueberry and guava each.Blueberry was absolutely delicious. Jadoh was very filling and was quite nice. Loved the music here and the seating is just right 😊

You and I Arts Cafe is unlike any cafe in Shillong. It is refreshingly different and soothing. I love that most things in the cafe are customised and has the owners personal touch. The food is authentic and amazingly delicious. Of course the best part is that local Khasi cuisine is served here. Thank you You and I for a great experience.

Have been to this most talk about Cafe in town couple of months back with my family, have to say I was so excited that I finally get to visit this place. This place is a reflection of Khasi culture in terms of food and Ambiece of the place. The ambience is really artsy, cute with seating setup which is not the norm, however they do have sofas as well. There are books decor around, frames, guitar etc..which brings on a different vibe to this place, have to say it's very cozy and home feeling cause of the seating arrangements which is so typical khasi style. They have a different setup of khasi culture behind the main Cafe which displays Khasi culture in terms of our daily traditional items used, the traditional kitchen and so on.. We ordered for Phan saw with Doh masi Tyrkhong sdieh(potatoes with smoked beef), tea..we really enjoyed our snack meal and had fun peeling our potatoes, the condiments that came with Phan saw was delicious which was tungtap, jhur im etc..love the food here😋 highly recommend you all to try this. The staff are so courteous and friendly. The pricing is amazing and affordable. They have parking too. I can't wait to go back to this Cafe and try more dishes from our own khasi food.
