Review Jaintia Food Stall - Shillong

Amazing vibe, I recommend this place for a perfect peaceful date or a get together with loved ones. Food is absolutely tasty and there is a bar too.

The best Chinese food joint in Shillong undoubtedly. The usp of this restaurant is the good service that you get. The waiters are well behaved and they guide you through the menu. The Dan-Mean noodles and Chicken chow fan rice are worth trying. The restaurant has recently introduced Korean and Japanese items. Another dish that I recommend is the sea food platter

Deja Vu is a Chinese restaurant and can be easily missed we went past it 1-2 times but were not able to recognize the entrance. Here is a brief review of the time I spent there. 1) Location: Location is not very convenient it is situated at the top of a building so not easily recognizable while driving. The entrance to the building in which the restaurant is situated is a bit off the main road, But all of this does not matter once you reach the restaurant at the top as it is really beautiful. 2) Reservation: We went there on a Saturday it was pretty crowded, I would recommend reservation on a weekend. The manager was really courteous he wrote down our name and gave us a table as soon as possible. 3) Menu: The menu was vast they have everything in oriental and Thai. The menu was well designed and had a hint of specialty restaurant feel to it. 4) Food: The food was amazing, Their soup was really tasty, Noodles was out of this world, Fried rice was amazing, each and everything we ordered was cook to perfection and had great taste. 5) Service: The staff was really helpful, courteous and on there toes to serve us. They explained the menu perfectly and then serviced each item excellently and professionally. 6)Ambiance and Cleanliness : The ambiance had that oriental feel to it. As soon as you enter you feel like you are in totally different place, the environment is calm and happy. The bathrooms were clean and tidy. The restaurant was clean and tidy. The only thing I did not understand why they are still using single big hand towels in the bathroom instead of paper towel that is still a bit unhygienic, rest all was good and up to the mark. 7)Overall: We had a great time there with breathtaking ambiance, amazing staff and lovely food. I hope they keep up the good work and maintain the food quality that they are serving always.

I went for dinner with my family on one of the evenings in Shillong. the interior and ambience is really pleasant. you can get peivacy within your group while dining. Food was really good. We were given a complimentary starter as well. Moreover it's their hospitality and staff behaviour is what makes them an excellent choice for dine out in Shillong.

Loved it totally. The perfect destination for Chinese food. A small negative point is the location, as it doesn't have a parking space, to park your own vehicles and we had to search for almost 20 mins for a parking. Well now for the description, its excellent in terms of food, both quality and quantity, ambience, and pricing. Service is bit slow though, as it was crowded. Its centrally located in the heart of Shillong city, near Police Bazar. We did not have a reservation, and it was jam packed with people queuing up for tables and reservation tables booked as it was a Saturday, yet the senior staff was kind enough to get a table for us when we were about to leave since we did not have a table and our child was hungry. Nevertheless, after getting a table, we ordered Manchow soup, which was really good. Post which we ordered the Chicken fried rice Mumbai style, which was a little dry so we had to order a veg Manchurian gravy to go along with it. Son liked the fried rice, as it wasn't spicy. Also ordered the smoked chicken Mexican style, which both of us could not finish. The ginger ale we ordered was also very good. Overall the food was good, but due to having a child with us we could not experiment much. Also parking was a bit difficult and we had parked our car in a nearby ATM, which was closing at 9, so we were running short of time to order anything else. Finally, would like to recommend the place for its food, hygienic and good. However service needs to be improved slightly but since it was crowded, it can't be helped. Also parking needs to he taken care of. Rest its a must visit.

I've been here a couple times now... Food and atmosphere was good, what stood out was Mr Mrinal who was very welcoming with his good service.

Had a very nice experience. The ambience and the staff was very welcoming. Especially our waiter, Mr. Nandan Nath, made us feel at home at once. The food was good too. Overall, great experience.

Great ambience. Good food at good price. Barbecue Paloma and Blueberry Cheese cake are awesome. Live music during dinner. Was a good experience being here during our trip to North east.

This definitely is one of the best place for chinese/oriental cuisine in Shillong. It has a great oriental ambience. Good place for dinner with family and friends. Located at an easily accessible area, however parking is not available here. But plenty of parking lots nearby to park tour vehicle and take a 5 minutes walk to Deja Vu.

A really posh place to dine with your family/friends/better-half🤗 The ambience was really cosy, and gives you that warm fuzzy feeling just on entering. The staff were really hospitable and nice . The food was great and was served within no time . I had Burmese monk chicken soup, pork fan rice and garlic prawn..it was quite authentic and delicious Price is slightly on a higher side but worth it Totally recommend this place 👍

After seeing around this beautiful town we landed in this excellent Restaurant in Laitumukhra and really enjoyed the beautiful ambience plus lovely food served by their very friendly staff from an excellent range in their decently priced menu. Highly recommend for Good Chinese Food lovers and all tourists visiting Shillong and looking for very good food.

I have ordered a prawn fried rice, hot garlic chicken and a plate of slice pork with peri peri sauce. Nothing to complain about your taste, Dejavu never disappointed me when it comes to taste. The problem I had is with the pork meat quality, I had asked the restaurant to overcook it still was rubbery. My suggestion would be purchasing meat from a good source. Thanks

Good food with good taste. A bit pricy but food Worth the price. Good ambiance. Spacious for group dining. Must go with friends. Good Chinese cuisine. Must visit restaurant in Shillong. Beautiful but a little shady interior decor. No outdoor seating. No parking.

Food quality is good. But in some dishes they use too many sauce. Otherwise the environment is good. Clean table, plates, floors. Service is also good. Staff is good and knowledgeable.. Go and enjoy..
